absolutely feel free to ignore this if you've already answered questions like this, but i have some art ones if you don't mind! what canvas size do you usually work on in procreate? do you have any fave brushes? and what size do you usually use them on?

sorry if these are super annoyingly technical questions lol, i'm always just fascinated by other artists' processes. also your art lines are always so CRISP and i need to know your secrets

Hey no problem! Thank you for the kind words.

I dont have a preference for canvas size, but i usually start with a screen sized canvas and adjust from there.

I use the default syrup brush, as well as a copy of the mspaint pencil brush. I also use an adjusted version of this brush, but i fiddled with it so long ago now i couldn’t tell you exactly what i did, sorry ;w; Around the 2-3% spot for all 3 of these I think.

Specs likes to do performances with "dangerous" objects bc he's so durable. His favorite is probably glass/mirrors. With the spotlights, it makes these beautiful, sparkly rainbows around the stage whenever he kicks up the shards. He'll also purposefully smash them during performances. Drama queen fr

His wings don't work like sneo, and they're closer to holograms than physical wings. Not that it bothers him, he’s perfectly fine with using his strings to fly around the stage.

Speaking of strings, he uses them a lot! It's like reclaiming freedom for him (even though he knows good and well he's far from free) and sometimes he'll let some of his grief slip by using them almost like a noose (he can't die from strangulation, but he doesn't do stuff like that anyway. Just a quick loop and then it's off his head and in his hand or around his ankle. He's not a fan of the feeling of string around his neck)

The minis help!! They’re everywhere during performances!! Some are front and center, some help with props, and some even play instruments or sing!

Spec's favorite trick involved some minis lipsyncing in front of the spotlights to create the illusion of him being everywhere in the theatre, while he roamed through the aisles, spooking anyone not paying attention. Then he would disappear into the dark parts of the theatre, and reappear on stage. Sometimes it would be a normal entrance, and others would be highlighted with him being puppeteered by his strings or some other crazy idea he came up with.

He cares so deeply for his fans. And any long time fans of his he can probably recognize. If anyone says they want to be like him, he responds like this almost every time: tears up, laughs it off, and says "You don't want to be like me, you should want to be better! Shoot for the stars!"

Only his s/o really gets to see his true nature, and it's not really that different. He's happy! Happier than he has been for years! He's just so incredibly scared he'll lose it all again, and scared he'll be all alone again. He wants to go out like a burning star, not like an extinguished flame. Anyway, past the insecurity he's a sweetheart. He'll even let you hold his soul! It's sensitive though, so be careful!

He's still Spamton at the end of the day, and he's still angry and spiteful towards those he thinks wronged him in the past. He's still an oddball, and he still glitches when he talks. But he's more mellow, now that he feels... safer. More stable. He has a steady job and people who like him again, and really, what more could he want?

Freedom, probably.
