omg that optional room with the locked door in leliana's song took so many tries on nightmare difficulty
#da#dao#personal#im finally playing through everything on nightmare wish me luck#the strategy ended up being to play as sketch and never attack so i dont draw any threat and just spam healing spells#....im gonna need wynne in my party in dao arent i *sigh*#or i'll have to play as a healer which is Fine but also just not my canon and i wanna stick as close to that as possible#well.....alim is usually arcane warrior/shapeshifter with creation/spirit spells#and i never use shapeshifter. i just have the spec for lore reasons#so.......i could replace that with spirit healer and stack more into creation than spirit. hmmmm#look. wynne isnt my least favourite dao companion. but if im playing as a mage im not gonna bring more than one other mage with me#esp on nightmare where i'll actually need a warrior for once. gotta have someone to actually take damage#(and i need a rogue to unlock things)#so if i can only bring one mage im gonna bring morrigan yknow. maybe she needs to be a healer too#at least in awakening i'll have anders and also the keeper spec which is SO good for aoe damage (and i dont think it has friendly fire?)#anyway. god that room was hard. just one high-level guy and a bunch of mabari are ROUGH. overwhelm is the scariest ability to go up against
