🖤 how do the two of you celebrate holidays or birthdays together? I mean, when you're friends with Pinkie, literally any special event ends up as a massive party, but since Astral usually prefers stuff a little more toned down, we try to find some time to do stuff just the two of us. Like, their last birthday was just a few weeks ago, and they'd mentioned they had never been to the‏‏‎ ‎Cloudsdale‏‏‎ ‎Aviation‏‏‎ ‎Museum before, which is crazy, that's like the field trip spot if you grew up there--so yeah, I've been there like a dozen times, but still totally worth it to see how excited they got. Also they've got a whole exhibit on the‏‏‎ ‎Rainboom‏‏‎ ‎now and like five foals asked for my autograph. 🌈

🌈 ...but it's not ready yet so don'tworryaboutit okay other than that, uh, Astral has really really been wanting to go to the Dragon Lands sometime now that they actually let‏‏‎ ‎ponies‏‏‎ ‎visit. Honestly, it's not that exciting, just a lot of rocks and lava, but they're really excited about it and I don't wanna harsh their buzz. And Ember's pretty cool, it'll be nice to see her again. She's always up for a little friendly competition! Just needs to work on being a sore winner. ‏‏‎🌈 ‎

OH GODDD I. WOW SO MANY. i think the question specifies tumblr but im in a httyd discord server (which is super inactive now but super duper thrived in early 2023) and the amount of strange people in there was wiiild

I remember seeing someone who absolutely HATED Astrid with their whole being, like made an OC to replace her etc etc, but like just COMPLETELY missed the point of her character.

Idk if I ever interacted with them directly but one of the main reasons they hated her is because in HTTYD2 when Hiccup becomes chief she smiles. Baffling. Like, she's obviously very upset Stoick is dead, but she's smiling because she's proud and staying strong for Hiccup. she's not "happy that Hiccup is getting the throne". i remember thinking it was so weird specifically because almost anything negative you can say about Astrid, you can say about Snotlout. but they had no problem with him. figures

oh godddd okay uhhh. i dont super-duper interact with the httyd fandom space outside of tumblr so i dont really knowwww. The Hidden World and the light fury is always crazy but idk.

The Snotcup debate is always fun /sar. I understand that they are not CANONICALLY cousins in the movie series but i truly just cannot see them as anything else theyre so cousins to me. i do NOT like Snotcup even a little bit.

Dagcup too actually? Dagur calling Hiccup "brother" of course but the age difference is the most concerning bit to me LMAO. I'm more of a Riders/Defenders of Berk enjoyer, so in my head theyre like, 15 and 20. not for me. (Although in my experience Dagur fans are often the biggest freaks sorry sorry sorry sorry)

   As many of you know, I’m big in to Guild Wars 2. It’s a lovely older mmo that still is one of the best ones out there (And it’s base game, well over 80 hours of content without looking hard, is free so you have no reason to not go try it). But even it has some fun bugs, like this one found during a raid training run.

-generally agreed upon but ness is DEFINITELY a conspiracy theorist. i think he was into conspiracys since he was younger, starting off with more silly ones like birds aren't real and the moon landing is fake and then getting into deeper ones with maybe a bit of a lean towards true crime. then when the local pizzeria had missing children well...

-mike takes abby to the diner for her birthday bc what can u do in a small town! they give a free slice of cake for birthdays and have the workers come around your table to sing except ness is the only one to genuinely enjoy singing it and he's also arguably got the best voice out of all the workers (or at least he does in mike's opinion)

-abby ships it. yknow how little kids are almost too observant and then proceed to say the most cryptid things?? yeah, she notices mike smiling and making more small talk with ness than with any other waiter they get and suddenly shes playing matchmaker

Have you ever not been able to fall asleep because of that ONE annoying light in your room? That’s Sparky’s life. An experiment to see how long she could go with that light bothering her, not allowing her to go to sleep well before she snapped. She used to be bright and colorful, but now she’s dull and unhappy. Her fire barely works anymore, and she constantly cold because of it. She was locked in a cold cellar, which if you don’t know, she needs to be very warm in order to produce her strongest fire. Her eyes are bloodshot, and she’s skinny and weak. Luckily, Ragapede and Jax found her, and against Jax’s wishes for another predator to compete and share prey with, she was finally released. She was quickly hidden away in order for Caine not to find her, but proved herself an asset by completely destroying Bubble bots in one snap, forming a taste for metal rather than organic food, which pleased Jax. She still doesn’t like him, but they formed a truce because of the situation. When Pomni arrived, she didn’t like her much either, but saw herself in Pomni, hiding from Caine and all that, and would never wish the torture all of them went through on another being.
