Jingyi's jaw almost hits the ground, because there is absolutely no way Sizhui - disciplined, mild-mannered Lan Sizhui - actually admitted to almost committing murder in his childhood. "You took a rock."

Sizhui nods. Jingyi wants to pull out his hair. "And did what exactly?"

The flush deepens. "...Almost cracked his head open?"

And yeah, okay, that's- Wow.

"You almost did what the entire cultivation world couldn't for years. With a rock."

He sees the car parked across the street as he leaves his last class of the day, and immediately, Stiles knows who's behind the wheel. He sighs. Grins.

Derek seems absorbed by something on his phone screen, so Stiles takes whatever advantage he can.

"Two things," he says casually, by way of greeting. He leans against the door, doesn't look inside at Derek. "One, you honestly have a death wish, sitting in broad daylight outside a federal building."

He can practically hear Derek's eyeroll. "And second?"

Stiles smirks, bends to meet Derek's gaze. "Either someone's dying or you missed me."

"God, you weigh a ton," Stiles manages through his teeth, feet kicking at the water, arms going slightly numb around Derek's frame.

Derek only grunts, the ungrateful bastard, and says nothing. Stiles would sigh if he could spare the breath.

"Any feeling at all?" Please say yes, please say yes, I don't know how long I can hold us up anymore.

"No," Derek admits after a long beat. And then, in a weird tone of voice that immediately has Stiles' hair stand on end, "Stiles…"

And yeah, no, Stiles is having none of that after nearly two hours. "Don't even."
