Lady Solange Teresa Vivianne Cotoner-Artois (1848 - 1926) also known as Lady Solange Teresa Vivianne Cotoner-Frye and Dame Solange Teresa Vivianne Cotoner-Artois, as well as by her nickname "Noble Assassin of Tarragona" and her noble title as "Condesa de Tortosa" (Countess of Tortosa), was an Spanish Philantropist, Naturalist, Paleotologist Noblewoman and Master Assassin of the Spanish and British Brotherhoods of Assassins active during the 19th Century. Born in Tortosa, in the Provice of Tarragona, in Catalonia, Crown of Aragon, Solange was the oldest daughter of Carlos Rafael Cotoner y Moncada, Count of Tortosa and his wife, Aimée Isabelle Henriette Artois and older sister of the famous swordwoman Serena Hélène Josefina Cotoner-Artois. Rightful Heiress to her father's maritime business and noble title, she was raised into the Assassins Ways by Carlos and his sibilings, all members of the Spanish Council of Assassins, much to her mother's worry. She becamed a Master Assassin in 1866, after sucessfully killing her target, the Templar Raúl de La Cruz. In 1867, she was send to England to aid the British Brotherhood, as a spy along her aunt Desirée Charlotte Madeleine Pleydell-Bouviere to Henry Green, also known as "The Ghost". Solange played a important role in the Liberation of London in 1868, and later, she was of vital importance to track down the Piece of Eden known as The Holy Grail, along with avoiding the rise of power of the Neo British Templar Rite in the years of 1870 and 1874. After the Liberation of London, she married her fellow Brother-in-Creed, the British Master Assassin and Gang Leader Sir Jacob Frye. She was the one responsible for the truce and diplomatic missions to Morocco in 1887-1888 in amids of the Spanish-Moroccan political tensions, she was also responsible of the rift and tension between the Spanish Council and British Council, after she stood for their lack of action in regards to the Autumn of Terror. Solange was a direct descendent of the legendary Spanish Mentor Renato Valentino Cotoner, the one responsible to modernize the Spanish Creed in the 17th Century. Solange is a Franco-Spanish Assassin of Moroccan-Moorish, Greek, Russian and German Ancestry. Her family comes from Assassins and Knights at the service of the Spanish Crown.

A funny thing that happens to Latin Assassin's Creed players when the game is dubbed in Spanish in Spain is the following...

In Assassin's Creed 2, where Ezio has the option to taunt in the middle of a fight, he says the following: "A qué no te animas a cojerme" and "Ven a cojerme".

A Spaniard interprets it as: "Why don't you dare to catch me" or "Come and get me".

But for Latinos "cojer" has another meaning... So every time I play with Ezio and I play that option, what I hear is "Why don't you dare to fuck me?" or "Come and fuck me"

I think everyone should know that in the german AC3 dub Desmond says "literally Shaun, lick me" during the Manhattan mission

Drives and motivations: Fullfil her mission as an Assassin and honor her bloodline, following the Footsteps of her Greatgreatgreatgreat-Grandfather who becamed the Mentor of the Spanish Brotherhood.

Immediate goals: Aid the British Brotherhood in reclaiming London. Assure the Pieces of Eden in Britain stay out of Templar's hands.

Long term goals: Find a husband, work on improving/financing the development of medicine, science and arts, giving more access to those things to the lower classes.

First memory: Her and her mother Aimée on her Estate's Garden, she was only two years old, in her mother's arms and she watched a Hoopoe singing on top of a tree.

What would the character most like to change about himself/herself: Definetly get rid of her condition to look "normal", she sometimes wished she could be "frail" and "fair-skinned" like the other noblegirls that were the beauty standarts of the era... I don't remember how many cards everyone started with (6, maybe?), and you had to throw a maximum of 4 to "the pot", face down. But you could only throw cards of the same kind, one above or one below than the last person.

LA EMBARBASCADA O “DEPRAVADA” FIESTA DEL CHARCO EN 1766

No existen referencias escritas sobre el momento histórico en que la embarbascada quedó vinculada como acto a la Fiesta de San Nicolás, aunque si tenemos constancia de los encuentros sociales con motivos de baños y pesca colectiva en el litoral por parte de la sociedad indígena.

El primer documento escrito de la Fiesta del Charco o Embarbascada es un mandato obispal de 1766, que determina con precisión que ésta ya estaba insertada dentro de las Fiestas Patronales de San Nicolás de Tolentino.

Cabe plantearse si en los siglos anteriores, cuando aún la ermita de San Nicolás se hallaba en la playa, comenzaría a originarse tal embarbascada colectiva. Cuando ésta se trasladó al fondo del valle, en la jornada siguiente a la de San Nicolás, los pocos vecinos del valle, bajarían a la playa y, en el Charco, pescarían colectivamente para el sustento, lo que con el tiempo se consolidaría como fiesta popular.

Cuando, en 1779, el historiador Viera y Clavijo contaba que la embarbasca o embarbascada era una pesca divertida, ya hacía tiempo que en La Aldea de San Nicolás tal costumbre se había transformado en una verdadera fiesta, dentro de las patronales en honor al santo italiano traído los mallorquines en su misión de evangelizar a los canarios a mediados del siglo XIV.

La celebración ya era muy popular, singular; de manifiesta alegría, liberación y catarsis de la colectividad aldeana, que aprovechaba el día siguiente a San Nicolás de Tolentino, 11 de septiembre, para bajar a la playa y disfrutar del fin de la fiesta principal del pueblo. Pero la diversión llegó a preocupar a una Iglesia que mantenía vivos los esquemas del Concilio de Trento. En 1766, el obispo Delgado y Venegas, tras su visita al pueblo, debió de quedar perplejo con las informaciones recibidas sobre el desarrollo de la misma, por lo que intentó "poner orden" amenazando con penas que llegaban hasta la propia excomunión, gracias a lo cual hoy tenemos la primera, interesante y curiosa referencia histórica de La Fiesta del Charco o Embarbasca.

En esta providencia obispal de Delgado Venegas se dan órdenes, en 1766, al cura sobre otros aspectos de las relaciones sociales de entonces como fiestas, bailes, veladas de paridas, curanderismo, brujería, etc.

«(...) Que no permita se introduzcan en el pueblo curanderos ni curanderas ignorantes que causen daño a los enfermos con sus extravagantes y ridículas medicinas (...) cuidando mucho de no permitir en la feligresía persona alguna de las que llaman brujos o brujas afetando ellas esta profesion pa meter miedo y sacar dineros (...). Que cele no haia concurrencias de hombres y mujeres de donde se origine la relajacion de costumbres y ruina espiritual de los fieles especialmente con el motivo de ir a velas de paridas y de enfermos convirtiendo una obra de misericordia en un desorden mui perjudicial a sus Almas (…) tenga cuidado en que las visperas y dias del Sor Sn Nicolás, despues de la oración no antes si se considera perjudicial no haia vailes ni se queden en corrillos hombres y mujeres (…)».

Que hallandose S Ilª informado del desorden que siempre ha avido en este Lugar cuando embarbasca el charco, que esta donde disen la mar siega, entrandose en el y mesclandose hombres y mujeres casi desnudos, olvidando con las obligasiones de christiano, aquel pudor y verguenza, natural â todo racional, pecando mortalmente en tan depravada diverción, no solo todos los que entran en el charco, sino tambien aquellos que conosiendose fragiles y en peligro proximo de caer en alguna tentacion se hallan presentes; por lo que siendo presiso dar una providencia que corte ese abuso tan perjudicial alas buenas costumbres manda su SSIlª pena de excomunion maior ipso facto incurrencia de quatro ducados de multa que se le sacaran aplicados desde luego a la Fabrica de esta Iglª, y de quinse dias de Carzel que ninguna muier se entre en el charco quando se embarbasca ni en otra ocasion juntamente con los hombres, y â estos debajo de las mismas penas no lo hagan delante de mujeres desnudandose enteramente y para esta excusion (...) al P. In summary, Solange would be an Euroasian Hoopoe Harpy, her appearance as a whole breaks the line of the other Assassins to show that she's not a member of the British Brotherhood, but of the Spanish Brotherhood aiding them!

Like a real Hoopoe, the feathers in her hair raise up, mostly when she feels threatned/ alerted/ surprised. She emits a soft call and her flight is surpriseling quiet... Unlike the Twins, only her father is an Assassin (Harpy), her mother being a common human, making her humanoid form even less... Well, bird-like lol. She mingles among humans almost perfectly, talons-aside.

Her younger sister, Serena, is a White Swan Harpy! She rarely uses her harpy form since she doesn't belong to the Brotherhood... Doesn't mean she doesn't aid them whenever they need.

Her flight is almost as silent as her sister's, and aside the screetching noise she can produce to leave others desoriented, her biggest ability is her swimming capacity, being able to dive and move in the water with grace and agility. Aside her talons, she also possess sharp mouth-edges, similar to the beak of a Swan/Goose, to which she sometimes uses to attack an enemy.
