Most chaotic MFB Beyblade AU to pop up into my head Part 2: Metal Masters/Fury
Alright, Continuing on from Part 1: Metal Fusion of my what if the legendary Bladers are all telepathically linked together AU. If you don't understand, link to part 1 will be right here: https://www.tumblr.com/eternalnexuswarrior/745518197057404928/most-chaotic-mfb-beyblade-au-to-pop-up-into-my?source=share
Okay then.
Metal Masters is relatively the same. All the battles, all the moments like that. The only two real thing that happen is 1) Ryuga involved in the Dark Tsubasa stuff as soon as they figure it out. Hyoma finds him, but he already is aware of it due to the group telepathy giving him the side commentary.
Gingka: Hey Ryuga? The darkness from L-Drago is possessing Tsubasa. Can you help?
Ryuga: You're not serious.
Kyoya: Nope, it just happened.
Gingka: And he kinda fled the hospital.
Ryuga: Alright, give me a bit to head out and find him
(Later)
Ryuga: When were you guys going to tell me he was in Italy
Kyoya and Gingka: He was in Italy?!
The other major thing, and this leads to the most goofy and chaotic moment, is Kyoya's stupid but good idea. And said idea is to visit Dynamis on Mist Mountain before the African team qualifiers. And the reactions are immediate.
Kyoya: “I got a stupid idea.”
Tithi: “Uh oh.”
Chris: “This should be good.”
Gingka: “Kyoya, let's not be reckless.”
Dynamis: “... For some reason I wanna hear it.”
Chris: “Dynamis!?”
Kyoya: “Where's Mist Mountain located? I'm looking at African qualifiers and I want to see if it's nearby to pop in.”
Gingka, Aguma, and Chris: “What?!”
King: “You can't just casually drop a bomb like that man!
Ryutaro (Again, see first post): “You just broke my cousin here! He is literally shell shocked.
So Kyoya goes a few days ahead of time, meets Dynamis’ family, comes to visit Mist Mountain with Ryutaro, and the first thing he does is give this Boi a hug. Dynamis gets emotional, and also gets a solar powered radio with some good frequency so that he can listen to the battles. Outside of those two Canon follows relatively smoothly.
Part 3 will cover metal Fury as I just found out Tumblr has a word/letter limit. Okay then.

Me me has a quetions :3 when did you start writing and where do your ideas come from?
-BK
Ooh, that's a tough one.
Hmm. Well, I know I started getting a like for writing in the 3rd grade. I'd done some random school two-paragraph assignment and Mrs. Meusen, my lovely teacher whom I still remember to this day, had returned everyone's papers with our grades.
And she liked to write custom messages along with the overall score and stars.
She told me in her little markered note at the top of my paper, that my writing was well structured and I make a good author. Something like that, I don't remember exactly how it was phrased, but it was a compliment to my writing.
I have no memory of what I wrote, though. It wasn't significant.
That was probably the first jump-start encouragement I got, though how it affected me in the future was probably subconscious for the most part. It's not the driving force that I remember on a regular basis as "Ah, yes, this event here is what started it all."
That long ago compliment just came to mind when I really started thinking about what the answer to your inquiry was.
My ideas just spawned into existence from my imagination. I was always the kid that found immense joy in reading books and also staring off into space. The wall. The ceiling. Out a window.
I once got lost in space during my 2nd grade Spanish class, while we were doing TESTS.
And I was lost in space, not really looking at what I was looking at... Well, I was apparently looking at someone else's test, lol. Got scolded. XD
My dreams were often the source of cool ideas also. I had entire MOVIES worth of action and everything. Sleeping was always a well anticipated privilege...
I wonder why. 👉👈
I remember my very first fanfiction was written for a comic series, Mega Man by Ian Flynn.
Cool robots, action, adventure, fights, suspense, a whole assortment of my favorite types of things to enjoy from any media, be it novel, comic, or movie.
It was... really bad. My family tells me it was good for my age at the time. The ONE friend I randomly decided to share the old google Docs with also gives me positive feedback, but... ehhhhhh.
There's reasons I haven't continued it further for years. It was pretty bad, in my eyes. I definitely had so much fun writing it though. It was a self-insert, sort of? But with an OC that had cool characteristics I just liked. Not really me, but a character that was an amalgamation of ninja skills, smarts, and powers. And was very much, as the term goes [that I would learn about just a few years later], a "Mary Sue". An overpowered character.
At least, my character still had a plethora of issues, and as the story progressed, I found ways to insert Nora [the aforementioned OC] into problems and lessen the overpowered aspects a bit.
I learned from that work. A lot.
I guess, if anyone is really interested, I can post the links to the old docs. I don't suppose I mind all that much, though I'm warning you all. I ATTEMPTED ROMANCE.
AND IF YOU ALL KNOW ME AND MY CURRENT HABITS... YOU KNOW I SAY ON A REGULAR BASIS THAT I CAN'T WRITE ROMANCE.
It was written by 13-year-old Scarlett. She doesn't exist anymore.
I think I somehow got off topic, why am I talking about my first fanfic...
Anyway!
I wrote a lot of other stories also.
I had originals.
I had fanfics. [My hyperfixation on Beyblade Metal Fusion remains dormant to this day, but I still remember all the ideas I never wrote down yet]
I had dreams that I attempted to normalize and remove dream-weirdness from for story material.
I had school assignments that were fairly tame as far as action, but I kept the docs anyway.
And then I tried to publish stuff.
[By this, I mean, on the Archive. I had technically posted fanfiction before on fanfiction.net but we don't talk about those abominations...]
I was in a Lego Monkie Kid hyperfixation at the time, and was currently on the cliffhanger of season 4. [Before the special came out, I mean.]
And I had a very very vivid dream scenario one night, where my brain decided to imagination its own ending and wrapped up plot for the cliffhanger of season 4.
I decided to post it. And I still have more ideas that I have yet to sort out and add more chapters to the fic, but that was the first published work on the Archive, I think.
And... it was romantic focused, actually. The one OC was a character that fit well into the series, and wasn't just an annoying rendition of overpowered characteristics. (I TELL YOU. I LEARNED FROM "NORA")
And, well, my dreams are good at imaginating romantic scenes. It's just my brain doesn't know how to make it sound good with words yet.
I'll get there... 😅
To get back to the point I seem to keep deviating from as I reminisce over older works and my author journey as a whole: I have come very far.
My first Alan Becker fanfic, was A Second's Tale. Which, until Super Sticks appeared, remained my most popular fic.
It started so SO simply. All I knew was, "NEW HYPERFIXATION GO BRRR!" and "I wanna write a fanfic and post it"
Then it escalated.
The AVA/AVM fandom is still my all-time favorite, and I think it's honestly going to stay that way forever. It's definitely the longest fixation I've ever had.
All my others are dormant, or active in spurts. I have a list of like, 60? 65? fandoms I'm into, lol.
Uhm, anyways, yeah.
That's the summary.
Man, that's another thing I suck at. Summarization.
Look at this long schpiel of words!!
No one gonna read this. XD
TL;DR
I have come far from the 3rd grade.
I still aim to make a difference. Make someone's day with my weird unique sense of humor. Make others inspired. ;]
And my imagination go brrrr for ideas. Dreams are just the best thing ever.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk--

A Theory About Spin Steal
Tumblr media
So I have a theory regarding Ryuga and L-Drago’s ability to “spin steal” or essentially, absorb his opponents’ power and turn it into his own power. It’s an aspect of the bey that has always confused and bothered me. The show never really gives a solid explanation for it. Metal Fusion sort of did, saying it was L-Drago’s unique left rotation that allowed it to absorb its opponents power which doesn’t make any sense scientifically but Beyblade has always had a magical side to it and L-Drago was the only left-rotating bey so it was a reasonable enough explanation at the time. But then Metal Masters introduced something terrible:
Tumblr media
I love Julian as much as the next guy and his bey is pretty cool but I hate the fact that it can rotate both directions and I hate even more that he was able to get this insane ability just by having money. It takes away L-Drago’s most unique quality and implies that anyone can get a bey like that just with money. It’s, for lack of a better word, cheap. And with Gravity Destroyer and later Variares using left rotation and not being able to spin-steal, it’s made clear that L-Drago’s spin steal isn’t because of its left rotation like Metal Fusion had us believe.
Because of this, some parts of Masters and Fury try to say that the rubber on L-Drago’s fusion wheel is what allows it to spin steal and quite honestly, I don’t buy it. L-Drago isn’t the only bey that has rubber on its fusion wheel. Rock Zurafa (and probably some other beys) does as well, I think it was actually said to have rubber on its fusion wheel before L-Drago was, and it can’t spin steal, it just cushions attacks and strengthens defence.
Tumblr media
If L-Drago’s spin steal was a result of the left rotation, Variares and Gravity Destroyer would be able to do it and if it were the result of the rubber, Rock Zurafa would be able to do it. However, they can’t. Only L-Drago and if you count it, Ronin Dragoon from Shogun Steel can spin steal. And honestly, I don’t count Dragoon because in terms of the anime, it wasn’t a very well thought out bey and honestly Shogun Steel has so many inconsistencies with the first three seasons that I’m just going to disregard it in terms of lore.
Tumblr media
So my theory on why L-Drago can spin steal is simple: it’s an ability of the dark power.
Tumblr media
This instantly makes the most sense in my mind. Stealing someone’s power is an inherently evil ability: Ryuga did it to much a more severe degree in Metal Fusion when he was pumped full of dark power and his bey is the only one that uses dark power (besides kind of Tsubasa who I’ll get to) so it makes sense that he’s the only one who can spin steal.
So why did it stick around after he was freed from the dark power? Well, the dark power is canonically something that’s effects stick around. We see this with Ryuga and Tsubasa, who are both influenced by the dark power in different ways even after overcoming it. We see this during Tsubasa’s battle with Argo in Brazil, where the dark power nearly takes him over again even after he overcame it back in his battle with Wales and Sophie:
Tumblr media
We also see it with Ryuga in Fury when he falls back into his power-hungry line of thinking from Fusion that he previously reprimanded in Masters. Yes, that could just be him being a hypocrite but considering how the dark power affected Tsubasa and Ryuga’s sacrifice at the end of Fury (which felt way more in line with his Masters self), I’m inclined to believe the dark power still has some subconscious influence over him which is what I believe allows him to spin steal. It’s a lingering effect of the dark power that he may not even fully consider.
Honestly, I just think that’s a way better explanation than “Ryuga can just do that.” And my explanation for why Ryuga can do it and Tsubasa can’t when it's an effect of the dark power is that the dark power infected Tsubasa and his mind, not Eagle, while L-Drago is a direct source of the dark power.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, while my Ryuga series was written a while ago with none of this in mind, I kind of want to retroactively explain why Ryuga doesn’t spin steal in those books with this theory. If you haven’t read those fanfictions, L-Drago gets a new bey, L-Drago Guardian. Unlike his previous three beys, this one is physically a completely different bey (it’s even a defence type), it just has the spirit of L-Drago powering it. My reason for not having Ryuga spin steal back when I was writing these stories was simple: I thought it was cheap and evil. I wanted him to struggle to adapt to a new bey and show that he had changed since the end of Fury.
So whenever people asked about spin steal in the comments, I just told them L-Drago Guardian physically can’t do that. Now I’m thinking maybe it could but Ryuga just doesn’t because at the point he got L-Drago Guardian, he hadn’t Beybladed in five months and had been living with his- oh, I mean Kenta’s parents. That changed him. By the time L-Drago’s Return starts, Ryuga has started to actually care about people and isn’t obsessed with power like he was during the show. I don’t think the dark power can ever fully go away but its influence over Ryuga has lessened significantly, maybe to the point where he either can’t spin steal or just doesn't want to. I’ll leave up to interpretation, especially since I finalized those stories months ago at this point.

To the anon that put me in such a foul mood, and to the minors trying to commandeer the fandom spaces that people my age made in the first place: I wasn't even ten years old when the first season of Beyblade came out. I wasn't eighteen when Beyblade Metal Fusion or even KNB, which came a few years later, first started airing. I was part of these fandoms long before my 18th birthday happened. I helped build these fandoms just as much as the other adults you're trying to push out.
Without us, you wouldn't have the fandom spaces you do in the ways you do. Leave us adult fans alone, we were in these spaces before you and I don't care that you're here as long as you're not trying to remove me from spaces we adult fans built from the ground up for those of y'all that came after us. Just let us exist with the comfort characters that didn't age with us even though we got attached to them when we were their age or younger than them.
And for the comfort characters from before we turned 18 that have canon birth years, like Kuroo Tetsuro...stop trying to turn them back into minors when their birth year puts them in their late twenties AND they had a timeskip in the source material that showed them as they are now.
If you don't like that I'm still here even though I was here before you, that's your fucking problem. Not mine. I'm not gonna sit here and pander to your temper tantrums any more.
#that#ellie speaks#this is the last time I'm gonna talk fandom on this blog for a longass time and I can't believe it's a rant#Anon you really fucked up#I have never been this fucking angry#It takes a LOT to wear me out and I was already mostly worn out when you came in as the straw that broke the camel's back#Now everyone gets to see what happens when Ellie snaps#Rants aren't my norm and I don't intend to make them my norm#But here we are#Essentially if you want to push adults out of fandom spaces just because the series characters didn't age with them...#You're part of the motherfucking problem and I really don't want anything to do with you til you grow the fuck up and develop logic.#If you support pushing adults out of fandom spaces even though they were minors when they joined said fandoms then unfollow me right now.#I don't want you in my goddamn space now or ever.#And if you want to call me an anti anti for keeping comfort characters that I've had since I was a minor then you can get the fuck out too.#Because these comfort characters have specific versions that I crafted through escapism that DID age with me.#I even have designs and shit for them that evolved as my version of them aged with me.#Because as they aged with me I saw them grow and mature too#so of course they aren't going to look like their original canon selves form when I was a goddamn motherfucking minor#And if you call me the P word I'm coming for your fucking knees#I was a victim of one and I will not let you turn that topic into a fucking three ring circus of a joke.#Caring for characters that I grew attached to when I was a minor will never make me and if you think it does...#Then you have no idea what that kind of person is and you need to go back to fucking school

Does the WBBA make the beys?
This is a weird question that I’ve been thinking about for a while. Yes, we have special cases like Benkei and Ginka, who got their beys from a unique source, but what about the average, standard blader who only uses their bey for fun and doesn’t go out of their way?
Well, let’s start with a line that Madoka brought up in Shogun Steel. Upon seeing a DNA blader, she commented: “that bey wasn’t made by the WBBA.”
That raises some questions on its own, given the fact that in the series, beys are never really shown to be acquired. We see Benkei, Ginka, Tetsuya, and a couple of others receiving beys from again, a unique source, but we never see a character like Kenta or Kyoya, who have been blading their whole lives, receive their beys. We know that Kyoya has had Leon since his early childhood, which might be part of the reason he’s so attached to it, but it also shows that anyone can have a bey in general. After all, if a baby can be holding a launcher before he can even crawl, we have to have an understanding of the fact that recieving a bey doesn’t always have to be a magical or out-of-the-ordinary experience.
Leon is a prime example of a very normal bey put into the hands of a skillful blader. If Leon had been put into the hands of say, one of Kenta’s friends from Metal Fusion, it would’ve turned out to be a very weak bey, similar how a recreational gymnastic student (meaning taking a once-a-week class for only part of the year) won’t go far in the sport, but if said student ups their hours and trains in gymnastics often, they can reach Olympic levels.
That being said, the way a bey is acquired, with the exception of Ginka’s Pegasus, seems to have nothing to do with the bey’s power. It all has to do with what the blader is willing to do.
Still, in the episode of Metal Masters when the Japanese and American blader DJs battle, the group of characters watching the battle comment on how their beys are only available in one TOURNAMENT (important word) and that having those models is an impressive thing. Still, with those special beys, the two DJs were depicted as extremely weak, further adding to the point that no matter how a bey is made, it all comes down to the blader. The reactions of the audience seemed to parallel the reaction of a group of tech nerds seeing that their friend got a brand new computer.
Beys being available by tournaments raises some questions. Are beys sold at tournament concession stands? That’s where that line would point us. Beys are a huge part of everyday life in the beyblade world, so it only makes sense for them to be accessible to nearly everyone, and a public tournament would be the most perfect place to sell them. They attract crowds similar to a sporting event, including young kids who see their idols battling and say “I wanna be like them”. They get a bey from the tournament that same day because they believe it’ll make it more like their idol and there you go, we have the next young, novice blader who might end up competing in major tournaments and might not. Most tournaments are hosted by the WBBA (think Battle Bladers), it would only make sense that some form of manufacturing beys happens in that organization.
Another piece of information: AGE DOESNT MATTER IN BEYBLADE!! That’s important on the point of how/when beys are recieved. It’s not like the Pokémon universe where everyone starts their journey at the age of ten. Take Sora for example. He was in one episode in Metal Fusion and he wanted so badly to be Ginka (which again adds to the point of bladers attracting other bladers) that he felt the need to copy Ginka’s special move. He’s definitely older than Kenta, but Kenta is more experienced and has had his bey longer. This implies that age isn’t really important as for when someone begins or ends their beyblade career.
TL;DR: yes, the WBBA does make beys and sells them at tournaments.

Madoka Amano is NOT useless
Don't you just hate the fact that people call characters uselesss from shows or movies without knowing the character or watching them very closely? Some dude I saw said Madoka was useless as well as another character from an anime in a post I made.
Hahahahahaha😂😂😂😂 child I'll prove you wrong!
I know people have opinions and all but they kinda said it harsh so I need to prove their butts wrong. Besides they commented and I'm defending my queens. Especially Mama Madoka!
Stopping Fights
Madoka really dislikes the fact that the boys fight a lot when not battling. Metal Masters, she stopped a fight where the boys were fighting about team leader and bey position for the world tournament (I think), she stopped another fight in Masters when the boys were fighting when they were supposed to work as a team. Madoka even disbanded Gan Gan Galaxy. (I love Madoka~!) in the Sol Blaze Movie, she stopped the fighting of the boys because they were in her maintenance room.
In Metal Fury's Episode: The Guardian of the Temple, Dynamis, Ryuto told Gingka should've proceed with cautious then Gingka blamed everything on Kyoya then Ryuto blames it on Gingka because he knew it was a trap so Gingka should've stopped Kyoya. Gingka fired back with telling Ryuto if he was a real treasure hunter he'd been able to open the door by now which made Ryuto mad. Kyoya told the two to move on and Gingka said that Kyoya shouldn't act that his neck isn't in this. Yuki tries to tell everyone to stop then Madoka slides into the frame in an angry mood and she yelled at everyone to be quiet because she can't concentrate when the boys is distracting her like that. (I know this part of the episode so well)
Pretend if you were in her shoes. If you saw your friends fighting over something stupid when the world is about to end in destruction by the black sun and Nemesis, would you sit there and continue working your research when you're getting annoyed by them or would you close your laptop and yell at your friends to stop fighting? Think about that.
She Fixes and Analyzes Beys
It's a very well known fact that Madoka Fixes and Analyzes Beyblades because she's a mechanic. It doesn't matter how badly the BeyBlade is damaged, she will fix it. At the end of Metal Fury in the Japanese version you see her in her basement fixing a BeyBlade while some of the legendary bladers' beys are behind her. She sighed about it but she did get it done...and she probably had a nice sleep after.
The Fearsome Libra episode
In episode 2 of Metal Fusion, Madoka states that she doesn't battle that often. She just likes fixing and analyzing BeyBlades. But in the Survival Battle arc of the Metal Fusion series, she was going to be apart of the health team but she was pushed to the airplane where the bladers go which left her terrified but Gingka protected her so she didn't have to battle. Then in the episode The Fearsome Libra she had to use her BeyBlade, Mad Gasher 145F to save Rock Leone from breaking apart. She launched her BeyBlade into the tornado that Leone created which left Kyoya and the others shocked. She hits Leone then wind blew her to the ground and her bey no longer spinning which gave Madoka 4th place. Kyoya realizes that Leone was in bad shape so he went down to the stadium and picked up Leone making him 3rd place in Survival battle. He had picked up Mad Gasher as well but was never seen doing so. Then this beautiful moment happened which is one of my favorites:
Madoka: K-Kyoya?
Kyoya: Sticking your nose in someone else's business Next time you butt in, I won't let you off so easily. You got it? ((Gives Madoka her bey))
Madoka: Uh-huh.
Kyoya: ((walks off))
Madoka: My bey!
Hacking
in Metal Fusion: Episode 12 it is seen that Madoka is not only a mechanic, she is also a hacker. When in the Dark Nebula Castle she used the Training room that Kyoya and the other bladers were in as a source to hack the systems. She was then blocked by their firewalls but luckily she broke through the firewall and she unlocked the doors for the gang to go to Doji. Benkei and Kenta stayed to hold off the trained bladers while Kyoya and Gingka ran out. She also did her hacking skills near the end of Metal Masters but I don't remember if she was successful or not.
Madoka Amano is smart
In the Sol Blaze movie, Madoka and Tsubasa helped Helios and Gingka go to outer space to destroy a meteor by launcing the space shuttle. In Metal Masters Madoka and Gingka were in the elevator that Dr. Ziggurat was going to use just to escape. Madoka uses her smart brain and use the control pad on the wall in the elevator to find the energy reactor and get to it.
Madoka is smart in general from how her character is. So back off my queen or she'll make you regret it. 👿😡
Hope you all enjoyed reading this blog and hopefully you agree with me on how people should not judge when they don't know how much these small characters are a huge help in the plot. That's like saying you hate someone in the music world but you don't know them and/or what their music is like.
I hope you all have a nice day and night. Goodbye~!
💖💜💚
