Listen I had a vision of Prime Soundwave but More bat. So I wanted to see if I could do that… and while I was at it I wanted to try doing some G1 sprinkles in there and it ended up as this whole thang… plus Ravage and Laserbeak are included! I wasn’t sure if I wanted to add visible speakers somewhere (like maybe on the wings or smth), I also added some ES in there (still figuring out the colors of his head) BUT I’m very happy about this 😌

Bonus this sketch I did in reference of a bat, I also imagine his pedes and hands are (controllably) magnetic (which very much helps for spying missions) as well as sound absorbent/dampeners; also yes I made it so his horn things can move like bat ears because I wanted to.. and there is also some reference towards IDW but mostly just the horn shape (and yes Ravage does now have spikes just cuz)

Do I have reasons why Bat Soundwave? Yes… laserbeak on his chest like baby bats clinging to their parents even in flying, simply the arm shapes, the long bat ear looking horns, the funky legs he has, his sonic/ultrasonic abilities (bats are ultrasonic, both in chirping and in hearing), having wings, being dark in color… yes… batwave

FINALLY made my own design for my boyyyy little explanations of some details under the cut hehe

So yea the design is mostly G1 BUT

Took me a WHILE to figure out if I wanted to go with the G1 mask/visor shape or the ones like in the comics........ and I managed to draw it pretty well and it suited him.........

but hey I sticked with G1 in the end because that's how I imagined him. Maybe it'll change in the future who knows ! I DID keep the marks on the cheeks like on the idw versions tho >:) because this boi has some of the idw lore.

Most soundwave designs don't have enough SPEAKERSSSS HES A RADIO AND TAPE PLAYER HE NEEDS THESE. The canon shoots lasers but he has speakers on his shoulders + hand palms because i absolutely LOVE how he attacks with that in Cyberverse and Earthspark so hehe it's mine now.

The legs ..... well I wanted to give that guy boots ok. but without it being too much like starscream. Transformers prime kiiiinda had something like that with the feet/heel general shape going on which I loved ? also the white plaques on the front of the legs are in my mind a mix between g1 and cyberverse.

Oh and finally. Yellow visor soundwave for the win >:)

I'll be tagging this as "Transformers Revitalized AU" it's simply your typical everyone lives no one dies au mostly so I can freely goof around with the characters.

Hot take, but I think that Bumblebee shouldn't be mute, and Soundave should use the radio voice instead.

Soundwave's whole shtick is radio shit, technology, nerd shit.

He should be able to communicate in both morsecode, that hand communication thingy in Cybertron, sign language, and all the cryptic codes.

He should be able to read minds like he already does.

He should be able to pulse soundwaves into the ground to 'see' every organism both alive and dead in the general vicinity, I'd say like 100 ft.

It also can double as echolocation for Ratbat.

His visor should also have modes like infrared, night vision, things like that.

I suppose we should just make him more tech.

While Shockwave is the first and only sentient A.I. in my au, but I don't think Soundwave should be fully sentient just yet.

I redesigned my redesign a little bit; mostly the wings cuz they were awkward and for some reason I forgot bat wings are their fingers; anyways I do have more ideas for him this time so this is also what it’s about 😛

What I imagine is that his bat wings Could be screens! (Btw the Shockwave here is just a filler design I don’t yet have any redesign ideas for him) Either or both screens in general, and or holographic screens; more specifically could be attributed to Haptic Holography, in which it could be interacted with and be felt via ultrasonic waves (from Soundwave) which the person of contact could feel it tactically although it being a hologram;;

both handy for meetings (sensors could be used to make users be able to interact with the imagery) And combat if you asked me, like imagine thinking you’re fighting someone yet you really aren’t, you’re just punching air but you don’t know that, and you have no way of winning cuz you’re getting hit by sound waves that Soundwave is emitting at the right time and place yet you cannot hear but you assume it’s your opponent hitting back, and your opponent never falters cuz they’re not real

This is also just a concept of his bridging system he had in Prime 🤔 I figured he could utilize a more silent and stealthy space bridge instead of that bright and loud bridge that Prime had going on 🙄 essentially Soundwave ripping a hole in a space to get from one side of a pocket to the other; but likely he wasn’t forged with the ability like Skywarp’s warping is, and instead he had it implemented to him later on 😌 and also yeah he has his typical telepathy/intense hearing abilities; tho I have yet to consider if he’d be able to do echolocation 🤔 purely for the ultra sonic stuff and being a bat probably

Merry Christmas everybody!

It's Christmas day, and also the first anniversary of me starting to post art on here, so to commemorate this momentous time I've spent the last few weeks drawing my largest piece yet, a massive battle scene featuring almost the entire initial cast of Transformers Infinite (my personal transformers story for those not in the know,its been 6 months and all since I've posted anything about it...) beating the stuffing out of each other!

All jokes aside this piece took literal weeks to create and I am extremely proud of it, and seeing as this is my big Christmas present back to all of you for supporting and sticking with me over the past year as I've worked and improved as an artist,above all, thanks for everything. 💙💜🖤🌈

Also here's all of the altmodes of the characters present in the piece in case anybody is curious. With that have a lovely festive season,however and what ever you do!

First was the Trine now it's time for them. I started drawing this when it was still warm outside. (*wipes a falling tear*) Finally I'm free. But it was really fun! More details about the design below.

I was really inspired by the style from the 80's. Maybe it's not very noticeable but it helped me a lot to look at some references from that time.

Soundwave - When I think of Soundwave I think about a soccer mom with two adorable brats by her side. (I use she/they for SW).

I know leaserbeak is recognized as a crow but I really like the idea of him being a parrot. He doesn't speak just parrots what he heard. He has multiple eyes that see everything! And two little antennas that ping from time to time.

Rumble&Frenzy - they are like 8-10 years old in the human age. They like to play a lot and goof around. Rumble (pink) really likes his jumping rope and Frenzy (red) has his yoyo.
