Heyyy. Ok really cheesy but I’d like to request a Logan x reader friends to lovers where it’s like an accidental confession. Maybe someone makes fun of the reader and Logan without thinking about it just starts yelling and defending why the reader is great and everything he loves about her? Ik it’s a little OOC but maybe he gets so mad (as Wolverine does) that he gets all mushy without realizing lol. Thanks ❤️❤️
lotus
while on library duty, Logan overhears two girls talking shit about you... and corrects it quickly.
CW: sorry i went in a little different direction, suggestive, profanity, takes place during the timeline of the og X-Men, these girls are bitches, etc.
"I just don't get what's the big deal about her," Maya scoffed, resting her cheek in her palm as she thoughtlessly flipped through her biology textbook.
Talia nodded, glancing up from her notes with an excitement that screamed nothing to do.
"No, seriously," she agreed. "Like we get it... you can grow shit. Big deal."
That piqued Logan's interest.
With Jean and Scott off on a date, the professor away, and you and Ororo teaching a joint class, he was slapped with library duty—watching the kids during their scheduled study period.
Now, originally, he planned on simply plopping himself down in a corner and puffing his cigar, hoping to fall asleep and just ride out his sentence.
And he was halfway there, too.
But just as he was about to catch some Zs, his hearing picked up on a conversation between two older girls who seemed to be trash talking his girlfriend.
"Word," Maya turned the next page, a grimace settling on her face when she noticed the image of a flower.
One you were very vocal about liking.
"She won't shut up about these stupid lotus flowers either... Hey! Did you guys know that the lotus is considered sacred in many Eastern cultures? And it often symbolizes purity, beauty, and rebirth!"
Talia let out an obnoxious snicker, the impression not nearly as funny as what she was making it to be.
But maybe she just hated you that much...
"You sound just like her," she commended, very much amused. "Only she's always smiling. Like I've never seen her frown before... it's almost creepy."
"Seriously creepy. But Peter can't get enough of it... you know he has a crush on her, right?"
"Seriously?!"
Logan let out a quiet chuckle, tickled by the news.
He'd caught the boy staring at you during a few Danger Room sessions, but didn't think much of it, assuming he'd just caught him while he happened to be looking in your direction.
Oh, how wrong he was...
He couldn't wait to tell you later tonight.
"Mhmm. Half the boys at school nearly fall over themselves to make sure they're not late to her class... It's almost funny."
"Funny, my ass. Why'd it have to be Peter?" Talia huffed, tossing her pencil at the textbook in frustration. "She's not even that pretty. I've had dogs that look better than her."
Maya attempted to muffle a snicker, but Logan heard it loud and clear, his brows furrowing at the horrible comment.
"I'm serious. She puts up this whole nice and innocent act, but I bet she's a raging bitch behind closed doors."
That was it.
All the stuff before was just normal, teenage jealousy; something he'd—albeit reluctantly—let slide.
But calling you out of your name?
Insulting your character?
Comparing you to a dog?
A line had to be drawn.
"Tali, you can't say that," Maya chuckled, glancing around to make sure no one was listening.
"Like I care," she scoffed, rolling her eyes. "I'd tell it to her face if I ever got the chance. Just walk right up to her and say—"
"Say what?"
The girls nearly jumped out their skin, whipping around, only to be met by Logan's arched brow, the man leaning up against a bookshelf as he puffed on his cigar.
They were at a loss for words, unable to say anything under his imposing presence.
"Don't get shy now," he goaded, crossing his arms over his chest. "Go on. Tell me what you're gonna say to Dr. (l/n)."
The two were practically frozen, frantically glancing at each other for assistance, Logan's eyes flicking between the two expectantly.
"Nothing?" he hummed. "That's funny... 'cause you both seemed to have plenty of shit to say earlier."
Both their faces fell almost instantly, the color practically draining from Talia.
"You heard that?" Maya squeaked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Every word," Logan nodded. "And what I managed to gather from it was that you both just can't stand her because she's kind, passionate, pretty, and beloved."
He listed each trait off on his fingers, glancing at the two for confirmation.
"How's that? Am I in the ballpark?"
They remained silent, hanging their heads in embarrassment as Logan's confrontation had garnered the attention of the whole library.
"Well, then, how's this..." he pulled the cigar out his mouth. "I'll let you both off this time with a warning... but if I catch either of you trash talkin' anybody again, teacher or student, you're grounded."
"'Til when?" Talia asked, nervously.
"'Til I tell you you're not."
The end of day bell punctuated his statement, a flourish of shutting books and closing pencil cases muffling the girls' sighs of relief.
"Now get outta here."
He had never seen two students pack up so fast.
They were gone in T-minus ten, and once the library was cleared out, Logan allowed himself to sit down, letting out his own sigh.
He could've tore into them infinitely worse—and he honestly wanted to for that dog comment—but he figured that was the right, and legal, amount for a teacher.
But even still...
'I dunno how a girl who can only float two inches off the ground is talkin' about (n/n) havin' a shitty power...'

{overview} Simon makes an upsetting discovery
{warnings} fem reader, poly141, a/b/o dynamics, cursing, angry Simon, fighting
Chapter 13 <- Chapter 14 -> Chapter 15
You didn't see John the next day either. But the thumping and groans had stopped. You could only imagine how exhausted he must have been. Simon took you to his office with him. He could tell how antsy you were for a change of scenery. He didn't pay much attention to you but you entertained yourself by playing on your phone and making a card tower with a deck you had found. You had eaten a big lunch and Simon had dropped you back off at home. You were drifting in and out of sleep when the couch dipped right next to your head. No words were spoken and you were too comfortable to move your head.
A large hand rested against your back rubbing smooth circles. The smell of fog and campfire rolling over you.
“I missed you,” you mumbled. He shifted on the couch, putting his feet up on the coffee table, and resting his head on the same pillow as yours. His arm went under you, tugging you so you were curled up against his side. He breathed you in, the stiffness in his body already loosening.
“I missed you too.” he sighed contently.
“I dunno. Sounded like you were having fun in there.” you teased. He chuckled, his head resting against yours.
“Sorry, you had to listen to that.”
“I didn't mind.” you said a little too quickly. “I- you know what I mean.” you corrected with a huff. John chuckled again.
“I know what you mean, pretty,” he assured. “How have you been healin’ up?” he questioned, his fingers skimming the area right above your knee. You had almost completely healed since your altercation. Perks of being an omega. There was still a bit of scabbing and redness on your left leg, but everything else had healed in the first three days.
“Good.” you hummed, lifting your leg to show him. “Which is good because now I can focus on getting you better.” you hummed, finally rolling over to face him. Your fingers itched to tangle themselves in his beard but you stopped. Instead, you rested a hand against his firm chest. He grabbed your leg, throwing it over his hips, making you flush. “You can't tell me you're not sore.” you finished, peering up at him with playful eyes.
“You got me there.” he smiled softly. His lips pressed against your forehead before he rested his cheek against the top of your head. The thought of your injuries made the memory of what Anais had said to you a few days ago:
“Well you won't be seeing much of Connoway. He was attacked, his whole face was scratched up and two broken legs.” Anais explained. Your blood ran cold.
“Scratched face?” you questioned.
“And broken legs.” Anais reminded. “Their beta is missing too. No clue where he is.” you swallowed thickly.
You didn't know if you should say anything. You weren't sure what good would come from withholding you knew, but you also weren't sure what harm it would cause either. Yet you were curious. Curious about what your alpha would say to explain his behavior. Curious as to what happened to that beta. Not that it was unjustified. Who knows what those assholes would've done to you if they had succeeded.
“You alright?” John drawled from next to you. You jumped- forgetting he was there. You hummed in assurance, settling on burying your face in his neck. You would be safe with them. That's all you need to know for now.
It was your fault. You had left the paperwork right on the kitchen counter for everyone to see. Simon had come to collect you for breakfast- a bit early admittedly. He could hear music playing from your room, so you must be getting ready for the day.
On the counter, you had left the paperwork the Omega Standards Bureau had wanted you to fill out. Would it really be Simon's fault if he peaked at it? He was on high alert, waiting for the moment your bedroom door would fling open. It took him a second to decode your writing. You didn't refer to them by their names but by their initials. Your try at anonymity he assumed. It was a nice gesture. You weren't waving their lives around. It wasn't till the second line did he get a sour taste in his mouth.
Who are your alpha/s?
The question was straightforward, just trying to get clarification on the pack dynamics. It was your answer.
J.P.
J.P. For John Price. No hint of S.R. anywhere. In fact he was hardly mentioned at all- only when they asked you to list every member of your pack.
He growled lowly, digging in his pocket for a cigarette to calm down. That was bullshit. He had spent the most time with you than anybody. Yes, most of the time he spent pushing your buttons but he had sincerely asked about you. How you ended up in an omega house. He asked about your family. He took you on walks- even in the rain because he knows how much you enjoy it. He could understand if your feelings weren't as strong for him as the others- he's guarded. But to not even be mentioned was a knife to the back.
He was just as much of your alpha as John was.
His growl must've alerted you. You slowly crept open the door, relaxing when you realized it was him.
“Smoking inside? It’s not the 1950s old man.” your smirk slowly fell when something seemed off. “You alright?” you asked a bit nervously. He tapped the counter where you had accidentally left your papers. You gasped quietly. “Those aren't for you, Simon.” you sputtered, quickly working to collect them. You raced back into your bedroom, reappearing just as quickly.
“Breakfast,” he grunted, putting his cigarette out. It didn't do anything to soothe his rattled nerves. It had been a long time since he had been so caught off guard. He thought you two were doing well. He thought he was doing well. Especially considering he was in a coma when they made the decision to add you to the pack.
You wracked your brain for a reason he would be upset. It had been a while since you had updated your paperwork- you think the night before your attack. A familiar uneasiness spread over you. You felt shaky and sick. The thought of someone close to you being unhappy at you twisting your stomach.
“Simon?” you began softly.
“Leave it,” he growled. “Breakfast,” he repeated. You couldn't eat even if you wanted to.
“I haven't updated it for a while. If there was something in there that”-
“Enough.” His tone was borderline vicious. “Your alpha is waiting for you in the cafeteria.” He spat the words like they burned him. They had.
You didn't want to go with him. Your instincts charging through you telling you this was not safe. He was not safe. You shook your head, taking a few cautious steps back towards your door.
He said your name as a warning.
“No.” you had no idea where the force had come from. “Whatever you saw I can explain. Why are you upset?” you demanded.
“Just put your bloody shoes on”-
“No,” you repeated. He snarled, turning on his heels and slamming the front door shut behind him. “Fuck.” you whimpered to yourself. You were shaking at this point, globs of tears spilling over your eyes. You went back into your room looking over your paperwork.
Who is your alpha/s?
J.P.
It clicked.
“Oh no,” you mumbled, flopping down on your bed. Truth be told you didn't really have an explanation for that- and you felt horrible. Simon had been an alpha to you. He protected you. He had taken care of you. He had taken an interest in you. You had opened up to your family about him. And you couldn't even bother to write his initials down.
The only explanation you had was the limited amount of time you had spent on the paperwork. You had given one-sentence answers for every question and hadn't taken it seriously. It never occurred to you that someone from your pack would read it.
“You alright, Bon?” you jumped as Johnny’s knuckles grazed against your doorframe. You wiped your tears quickly, but it was useless.
“No,” you mumbled pitifully. He came to immediately, wrapping his arms around you and tugging you into his lap. “I upset Simon,” you uttered.
“Peaches, I do that every day, twice a day”-
“No,” you interjected. “In the paperwork Kate gave me to fill out it asked who my alphas were and I just put John- and Simon saw that,” you explained. You sniffled, pressing yourself deeper into the Scot's chest. He was quiet for a moment. A long moment.
“Well I'm going to be honest, hen. I would be steamin’ too.” The honesty hurt. You pulled yourself away, but he quickly pulled you back. “He won't be steamin’ for long, though. He just needs a moment to himself and then he’ll be ready to talk.” Johnny explained. You had no choice but to trust the beta. He had seen Simon upset before, he knew how his mind worked.
“Wondering when you'd get back,” Johnny spoke, pushing Simon's bedroom door closed. He grunted in response, tugging his balaclava off and throwing it in his hamper. The scot made himself at home in his bed, taking up most of it. “Wanna talk about it?” he hummed.
“Nothin’ to talk about,” Simon replied coldly. Johnny sighed, sitting up.
“We both know that's no”-
“It doesn't matter, Johnny,” Simon cut off. “Now I'm relieved from having to put any more effort into that”-
“Simon,” Johnny warned.
“It's true,” Simon continued. “She just wants one alpha- one alpha she’ll get.”
“Simon you know that not how she fee”-
“It is.” Simon spat. “And that's fine with me. I mean what good is she doing anyways? We’ve had to change our schedule, our lives, our home to fit her, and for what? So we can heal a bit faster. She's not worth the trouble we’re puttin’ in.”
“You’re out of your mind.” Johnny snarled back, growing more and more defensive over you. Johnny moved from the bed heading towards the door, bumping into it when he realized he hadn't closed it all the way. He quickly heard your door shut.
His heart fell into his stomach.
You had heard that, didn't you?
Ohhhhh Simon! What are we going to do with you? Guess you’ll find out in three days for Chapter 15!!!!

i'm wondering how your thesis of "idols will come out when they want" fits into your insane shadow analysis attempting to prove jimin and jungkook fucked in the middle of their travel show (amongst other things)? like do you get joy out or trying to drag someone out of a closet they might not be in? or is it something else? just curious! 😀
Hey wdcmaxy
Since you have the guts to use your name I'll respond :)
So, you read my thesis?
*Sips whisky*
Cool. And you read my insane shadow analysis too?
Hmmm... do you come here often?
Let me answer your question then.
I think we both know the shadows analysis isn't really insane - it's based on very basic earth science. Shadows grow longer as the day progresses because of the rotation of the earth on its axis. You sound reasonably literate so i assume you know this already.
I guess your description of my shadow analysis ( I think I'll name my next racehorse 'Shadow Analysis') as insane is an attempt to discredit the idea that a fair bit of time passed while Tae was out of the house? But that was kinda silly on your part. Even children know that shadows change as the day passes.
Nothing insane about it.
He was gone for hours, no debate.
Now let's move on to the fucking part, and when and how idols choose to come out.
This is actually worth discussing.
As flattered as i am that you think my tiny insignificant blog could be a game changer for anyone, let's be real.
How many people, besides yourself, do you think read my blog?
Serious question.
I'm estimating maybe 100. Double that on a good day. Maybe 300 if i write something REALLY profound which doesn't happen often.
I am way less excited about my impact on the world than you are, because I'm a realist.
BUT if by some strange twist of fate my blog came to the attention of someone whose opinion mattered (I'm not counting you, don't worry) do you think they would take it seriously? Do you REALLY imagine a random tumblr post about shadows could make someone believe that an idol was gay if they didn't already believe it?
Here's a great example of how that wouldn't happen:
You, dear reader.
You're my example.
You came here to tell me I'm speaking shit and that I should pull my head in, correct? My insane shadow analysis hasn't changed your beliefs at all. You're here, throwing a tantrum on my page, because you don't agree with what I'm saying, not because you suddenly believe it.
Or ...
Perhaps you suspect it's true and that scares you. Maybe you can't be absolutely sure I'm wrong and that's why you need to yell at me? Could that be it? Time for a bit of self reflection?
Either way, it's not going to make an iota of difference in the grand scheme of things.
We are all just dust motes floating through time and space, my friend. You dont need to worry so much. The universe is unfolding exactly as intended.
However... There are a couple of things we should agree on:
The fact is that the shadows grew long and therefore, time passed. And Tae was out for several hours. Maybe he went out for a bit of afternoon delight himself? Maybe Jimin and Jungkook played Pokemon Go all afternoon, or prayed, or practiced their English, or braided each other's hair.
Regardless of whether they did or didn't fuck, or how many times, or on what surfaces, the time still passed.
And whether I write my blog or not, people will believe what they believe. And they will be gay or they won't be gay.
And even though I never mentioned anything about them fucking in that post, whether you like it or not Jimin and Jungkook might be fucking right now, as you read this.
One last thing...
Please bear in mind, through all of this, that fucking is not the be all and end all of life. Sure its a lot of fun if you do it right but the notion that it's more meaningful than sharing your innermost thoughts and feelings, or giving someone your time and energy, is bullshit.
You can have a roots-deep love for someone and never even think of fucking them. Or you can meet someone in a public toilet and have at it, and leave without even knowing their name.
Sex does not equal love. Fucking is not that big of a big deal.
Unless...
Unless you're fucking someone the patriarchy doesn't want you to fuck. Then its a major issue.
Hear me out.
The need to control who we fuck is based a patriarchal need to control material wealth.
To control material wealth, the patriarchy needs to control reproduction (so they can be sure their wealth stays with their bloodline, because wealth is built over many generations) and to do THAT they need to control womens' bodies.... and to do that, of course they need to control who women fuck. And who men fuck too!
Do you know what the ACTUAL issue is with men who like dick? They don't automatically buy into the patriarchal way of life. (where's the solidarity, lads?)
Why don't they?
Because lifelong monogamy and marriage and nuclear families don't matter as much when you're not equating love with sex, and sex with reproduction. When your goal isn't to accumulate wealth and pass it down to your children.
Same thing applies to women who love women. They aren't focused on being demure and pleasing the men in power. They aren't focused on making themselves wife material. They will challenge the status quo and maybe even (shock! horror!) decide not to have children. How the heck do you make sure your money and power stays in the family, how do you build an empire, when the women are perfectly happy having sex with each other and don't want to love, honour and obey??
And whose fault is all this?
Its got to be the damned queers, right? They're making people think there might be other ways to share your life with those you care about! That's why its important to squash down gayness whenever you can, right, wdcmaxy?
Look at them destroying the fabric of society!
If Jimin and Jungkook ARE fucking every chance they get, good for them. I hope they're balls deep and breathless, hitting all those sweet spots for each other having a really good time.
And if they're not fucking, it actually doesn't matter to me because the way they support each other and share their hearts is beautiful. (I do think they are fucking though)
Truthfully, whatever they're doing, as long as they're happy I'm happy.
Can you say the same, wdcmaxy?
Peace.

Twisted Wonderland x Obey Me Crossover
Part Two ⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⊱⊰⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯ Part One Part Three
A few reminders: - Yuki is the default name in Obey Me! - NO pairing yet, It will be implied, but not explicitly displayed. - this will be divided into chapters, It will be considered a one-shot/non-series since I'm not doing different Points of view like how I do series. - Updates will be a bit slow - Credits: The line breakers are from Kaomoji dividers and Official Obey Me and Twisted Wonderland art. - Just enjoy! Would love to hear your responses on this fic cause I'm having fun writing it ^^ Masterlist
⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⊱⊰⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯
You were looking worriedly at Yuki, unsure what to do, but you decided that the others would find out eventually, so you couldn’t keep this to yourself forever.
"Sure, why not?"
What?
You didn’t expect this. Crowley seemed to have taken a liking to Lucifer, who seemed uncomfortable under the headmaster's gaze. "They’re demons, right? It’s rare for them to come out of hiding like this! It’s an opportunity to get to know you, Lucifer," he chirped, almost happy to see the man.
You deflated on the couch. Before all of this happened when you tried to call Crowley, who suspiciously answered your call immediately. He then went to visit to see the seven brothers and Yuki. You were expecting retaliation on his part, but the moment he saw Lucifer, he sighed in relief, muttering about good demons visiting instead of the bad ones. Seriously?
"While I'd love to guide everyone around," he says, striking his usual pose that means he's up to something. "I still have a job to do, so Prefect, you don't mind skipping a few lectures, right?" He smiles mischievously.
"What?!" you gasp, glaring at him. "You're not even going to tell the professors about this!"
"Well, if you think it's necessary, I can always tell them,” He says, looking at you with those infuriating puppy eyes. "Come on, you can't leave them alone, can you?"
"If this would bother the Prefect's studies, I'm fine with roaming around alone," Satan interjects, drawing your attention. "I promise I won't cause any trouble," he continues, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall. "Not sure about them, though."
"Way to throw us under the bus, Satan," Leviathan grumbles, busy trying to pet Grim. "I don't want to go out. I'll just stay here."
"We went to all this effort to bring everyone here, and you won't even try to have fun? Come on, Levi!" Asmodeus whines. "This is a whole new world! I doubt there are video games here that you'll like." As if that would convince Levi, especially when they still had network access from the Devildom.
“No, I didn’t even want to come out of my room! Mammon barged in and dragged me out!” Leviathan pointed at Mammon accusingly, who gasped in offense.
“Excuse you! You were the one who kept ranting to Yuki that you needed more grass to touch!”
“IT’S BECAUSE I LOST A GAME!” Leviathan screeched. At that moment, a pair of black wings smacked both Mammon and Leviathan into silence.
“You are both embarrassing Diavolo’s name,” Lucifer growled, clearly pissed at them.
“It’s okay, it’s quite amusing to see that even demons have quarrels” Crowley mused. This somehow pops a vein in Lucifer’s head, “We are still similar to humans” he corrects, this man seems to think they’re more inhumane than other beings.
“I apologize,” he said crossing his arms. “Since you can keep your brothers on a leash, then I think it’s fine for you to roam around, right?” he asks, as Lucifer’s eyes narrowed. “It would be nice if we have a guide for it,” he says, looking at you and Yuki. “The only reason we went here was to find Yuki’s friend, now that we found them, we can rest easy and go out”
"The Prefect is too busy to be a guide," Lucifer adds, "We can take care of ourselves"
Yuki cheers, high-fiving Satan who always wanted to learn more about this peculiar world. “Why don’t we split it?” Crowley suggests, and for some reason, it sounded like split custody between the demon brothers.
“You, Lucifer can go around as they please since I trust you for it" Crowley says which immediately gets interrupted by Lucifer “Why do you trust me so casually?” he asks, bewildered by this man.
“No reason, I just think you won’t cause any trouble, unlike your brothers!” he says bluntly, smiling. “Aren’t I gracious?”
Lucifer huffed but didn’t seem to question it further. “Fine. So you’re saying I bring half of my brothers while the other half keeps an eye on them?” he clarified.
“Oh no, not me!” Crowley interjected, his eyes zeroing in on you. The sudden attention made you jolt. “The Prefect has their daily school activities as I mentioned; it would be great if they could introduce your brothers to the students and establish a connection.”
“Excuse m—!” you began, but Crowley cut you off. What the hell, so he was going to put you back to work? This cruel man!
“A connection?” Lucifer was growing more wary. “What for? We won’t be staying here for long,” he said.
“Which is precisely why connecting with other people is a must!” he says. “Since you’re going to stay here temporarily until Yuki’s homesickness subsides, wouldn’t you want to make the most of it?” he adds, prompting Lucifer to think deeply. Barbatos had mentioned that the portal to another world would likely only open once. He had already informed Yuki that they couldn’t force you to come back with them, especially since Yuki is an exchange student and you are not. Your presence in Devildom might cause disruptions without proper discretion.
His eyebrows knitted as he felt the impending onslaught of a migraine. The process of turning you into an exchange student, the protection you’d need, what would happen if one of his brothers or any demon developed feelings for you? Unlike Yuki, you had no magical prowess to protect you from demons who might desire your human soul.
If he allowed this little trip, you wouldn’t need to come back with them, right? While the thought might be cruel, considering you were the only one who could help Yuki feel better again, the burden of keeping you safe was too great to bear.
“So?” Crowley’s voice snapped him out of his trance. Sighing, he pinched the bridge of his nose. “Mammon, Leviathan, and Beelzebub will stay with me,” he said, relenting. “Yuki and the Prefect can take Asmodeus, Satan, and Belphegor with them.”
“Wait, I didn’t consent to this!” you protest, feeling overwhelmed at the thought of managing the demon brothers while studying. Yuki, who seems thrilled to be on the same team as you, pulls you into a hug. “Oh, come on! I’m here! If they cause any trouble, I’ll use my pact on them!” they say confidently, making you sigh in reluctant acceptance.
“I apologize for the random team assignments,” Lucifer says, frown deeply etched in his expression. “I doubt I can keep my cool babysitting my brothers for the next few weeks,” he adds. “But if they cause chaos, I’m sure Yuki can properly discipline them,” he continues, hoping to reassure you.
The other brothers grumble, especially those under Lucifer’s watchful eye, but they fall silent under his glare. Some, however, seem pleased. Asmodeus chatters happily about how he’ll grace the students and you with his beauty, while Satan looks satisfied simply because he isn’t paired with Lucifer.
“Excellent! While you’re here, you can use Ramshackle as your sleeping quarters!” Crowley says, clapping his hands together. “I must be off, but you have fun with your friends, Prefect!” With that, he vanishes in a flurry of black feathers, much like Lucifer’s own. You can’t help but feel like they’re somehow related.
The walk to your class was as awkward as you have guessed, other students kept glancing behind you where the three brothers were, while also staring at Yuki.
What exactly is going on? Crewel looks dumbfounded, staring at three new faces. “I was not informed that there are extra pups coming in” He sighs, tapping the board up front. “Care to explain?” he glances at Prefect who just lets out a huge sigh.
In short, you tried to explain it to the best of your abilities, leaving the fact that they’re literal demons. Crewel, who glanced at Asmodeus, who winked at him, causing him to grip on his black whip. “Fine, this will only be temporary, yes?”
“Yes sir” you droop, glancing behind and already seeing Belphegor and Satan sitting while Asmodeus was chatting with some of the students. Out of every brother, that guy seemed to be the one who’s fitting in with the number of students here. You had begged Crowley to have something tailored for them, but Lucifer stopped you and used his magic to replicate the school uniform that Ace and Deuce were wearing, changing the color of the whole attire to Ramshackle's colors.
"So, they're unofficial students who want to see the school for themselves before enrolling?" Crewel's eyes widened. This was new—they usually never did tours for incoming students. He was suspicious. He looked at the faces of each brother before leaning down to your level and whispering, "They don't look like students. More like teachers."
“Hey! I heard that! I’m a student you know! A pretty one” Asmodeus says, flaunting his pearly white smile while Satan on the other hand thinks that’s a compliment “Thank you” he’d say, ignoring Asmodeus. What a peculiar bunch, Crewel did like the aesthetic of Asmodeus, but maybe he’ll have a chat with these new students later, after class. “Alright listen up.”
You noticed that Satan and Asmodeus seemed unusually attentive during class discussion. While it was no surprise to see Satan's curiosity on display, Asmodeus' focused demeanor was out of character. Then you caught a glimpse of what he was doing: sketching Professor Crewel's face in chibi form, adorned with hearts. Hadn't he just met the guy?
Leaning close to Yuki, who seemed engrossed in the as well, you whispered, “Is Asmodeus always like this during class?”
Yuki snapped out of their concentration, glancing discreetly at Asmodeus. The demon caught the look and flashed a flirtatious smile. “Already falling for me, I see? Can't blame you, lovelies.”
“Well,” Yuki stammered, staring dumbfoundedly. “I guess he really finds Professor Crewel good-looking—”
“Pups at the back, what are you whispering about? It better be about the ingredients I’ve been instructing you to use for the lab experiment later,” Professor Crewel barked, slapping his whip against his hand for emphasis.
You felt a wave of embarrassment as Grim sighed loudly. “Talk later… you’re making the professor noisy,” he grumbled, nudging you to focus back on the lesson. Reluctantly, you and Yuki stopped your hushed conversation, turning your attention back to the front of the classroom. Meanwhile, Lucifer was letting his brothers go around the massive campus, while he knows RAD is big on its own, there was a certain charm that this campus had, the mirrors seemed to have sucked them into some kind of place where the aesthetics were vastly different from one another.
At first, he accidentally got them all stuck in some kind of measly display of… hearts? While he found it pleasing, the color red was standing out too much.
“I’m hungry,” Beelzebub frowned, noticing that, for some reason, the students were dying the roses red.
“Oh! Hey!” Ace called out, waving a dried-up red paintbrush as he walked towards them, searching for the Prefect. “Where’s Prefect?”
“After you left, we decided to split up,” Lucifer stated, looking around. “Can you tell me more about this place?” he asked, intrigued by its design. Ace smiled, placing his hands on his hips as he casually explained that they were in Heartslabyul.
“There are way too many normies here,” Leviathan whined. Meanwhile, Mammon seemed quite pleased; this place reeked of GOLD, and there had to be something he could take.
Ignoring Leviathan's complaining, Lucifer listened to Ace's introduction to this dormitory called "Heartslabyul" “I see… so you will be holding an unbirthday party here?” Lucifer inquired. Ace nodded, but before he could explain further, a sudden shrill scream echoed inside the intricate building.
“Hey, stop! Don’t eat that!” a voice rang out as Beelzebub seemed to have attacked the kitchen.
“I told you we shouldn’t have come here!” Leviathan said, bolting inside as Lucifer had already run in. “Beel!” he growled, grabbing the man with sheer strength. Mammon and Leviathan joined in, blocking Beelzebub’s vision of the food.
Only minutes after their arrival Beelzebub already managed to sneak into the kitchen. “I’m hungry let me go!” he says, trying to squirm off the grip, but three demons could subdue him, and long enough, Trey goes to shove a premade cake in Beelzebub’s mouth enough for him to calm down as Beel started munching on it.
The whole kitchen was a mess, as Trey stares at the mess, “Oh dear” he groans out, feeling a headache coming, Lucifer frowns as he glares at Beelzebub. “I apologize for my brother” he adds, bowing to Trey and the other Heartlabyul students helping him. “It’s fine but, I’m not sure how I can fix all of this, almost more than half of the food was devoured, how could you even do such a thing?” Trey's tone held a hint of annoyance, though he glanced sympathetically at the unfamiliar faces and distinctive uniforms of the visitors. "My brothers can assist with cleaning and cooking," Lucifer offered, attempting to defuse the tension. The two brothers exchanged shocked glances, but Mammon quickly crossed his arms in protest. "No way! It's Beel's fault, not mine!" Leviathan chimed in, shaking his head adamantly. "Yeah, count me out. I didn't do anything!"
"You will help," Lucifer said with a smile that sent a shiver down their spines. "It seems you forgot I'm not the only one babysitting you three. You're old enough to be responsible," he added, causing the others to clamp their mouths shut in uneasy agreement.
“Wah, so scary” a voice came from outside as he walked in, “I didn’t even expect that big guy to sneak in so fast, sorry about that Trey” Cater apologized, while looking at the four brothers. “Who are you peeps?” he asks, crossing his arms while Deuce and Ace go inside as well, eyes widening at the horror the kitchen became. “Lucifer,” he says shortly, “These are my brothers, Beel, Mammon, and Leviathan” “Sup” Mammon notices Cater’s phone before going closer to him “Oh wow that’s a pretty cool design! Can I see?” he asked so suddenly that Cater didn’t have time to react before Mammon grabbed his phone “Cool! I never seen these type of design before, you got a sweet case dude” he chirps, Cater was going to be upset at the sudden lost of his phone but the way Mammon seemed genuine with his compliment he lets it go. “Well it’s great, I bought it from a store online”
And that’s where the two started hitting off, Mammon showing Cater the D.D.D. he has, and Cater being fascinated by the technology itself. “Whoa is this a unique type of phone? Never seen this before” he asks. But once again their conversation got interrupted when Leviathan glared at Mammon. “Hey! Clean up too! I’m not doing this solo!” Mammon rolls his eyes “You can carry that stuff by yourself!”
"‘Mammon!’ Leviathan’s glare intensified. ‘Ugh, fine!’ Mammon grumbled, conceding to his sibling’s persistence. Meanwhile, Cater, observing from the sidelines, couldn’t help but chuckle at their petty squabble. I’ll go back to painting, don’t want riddle to go cray cray now” he said sounding solemn, but before Mammon could leave Cater grabbed his arm. “Oh! But let’s be moots!” he suggested eagerly, pulling out his phone.
Mammon, who had earlier dismissed the idea due to their different phone brands, frowned thoughtfully. He wasn’t sure if his D.D.D could sync with the smartphones here, but perhaps it was worth a try. "Sure, just give me your numbs," he asked casually. As he typed Cater’s phone number, his eyes widened in pleasant surprise—it worked! "Oh, yay! We’re moots now, Mams!" he exclaimed, patting Mammon’s shoulder. "I’ll start sending you memes; you’ll love those."
"Yeah, sure," Mammon replied, scratching his cheek. He was surprised at how easy it was to befriend Cater. "See ya later, Cater," he waved goodbye as he headed back to the kitchen to retrieve the newly arrived boxes of extra confectionery and creams.
Beelzebub stared longingly at Trey as he deftly baked most of the cupcakes, while Lucifer kept a watchful eye to prevent him from pouncing on the treats.
"You bake so well; can I have some?" Beelzebub's hand twitched towards the delectable sweets, but Lucifer promptly smacked it away, resembling a swat at a persistent fly. Trey simply smiled, "It's fine, he can have some. I made extra since he seemed to enjoy them."
"Are you sure?" Lucifer frowned. "You're our guest. Just keep it in moderation," he advised, continuing to beat eggs in a bowl.
"Thank you," Lucifer acknowledged, observing as Beelzebub maintained a moderate pace in eating, quite fascinated.
"You're welcome. Though I haven't seen that color before," Trey remarked, noting the grayish hue of Beelzebub's uniform. "Is that from Ramshackle's? Since when were they admitted here?"
"Oh, this is from Ramshackle's uniforms... I believe the color signifies the dormitory," Lucifer explained, stroking his chin thoughtfully.
"Yeah, you know your stuff," Trey complimented, impressed by Lucifer's knowledge and demeanor, which reminded him of someone of Riddle's caliber. Bonus: "Where do you think they went?" Solomon mused aloud, his gaze fixed on the still-open portal.
"Should we go after them? I don't want Yuki to get harmed," Luke added, a note of concern evident in his voice as he stared at the swirling portal. He could sense the ominous magic emanating from it, despite the demon brothers' casual entry.
"Why don't we all go visit?" Diavolo's voice broke through their thoughts, causing Solomon and Luke to jolt in surprise. They hadn't expected the prince to arrive so abruptly.
"Well, I doubt that you'll get harmed going in," Solomon replied with a wry smile, crossing his arms with piqued curiosity. "If you go in, Prince Diavolo, and emerge unscathed, we'll follow you."
"That is certainly not going to happen," Barbatos interjected, appearing suddenly with a scowl as he glared at Solomon. "Why are you using Lord Diavolo as a scapegoat?"
"It's fine, Barbatos! I'm curious too! Lucifer went inside, right?" Diavolo said, dismissing Barbatos's concern with a wave. Without a second thought for his safety, he jumped into the portal. "It's your portal anyway! I trust you!"
"Lord Diavolo, wait—" Barbatos's protest was cut short as Diavolo disappeared into the swirling vortex.

Challenger Deep
You're a marine biologist sent down to a newly build base in the Marianna's Trench. You and a few other selected scientists have the opportunity to be the first to study the creatures up close. However, something malevolent stalks the open abyss around you, watching. Waiting.
Masterlist AO3
A/N- I'm sorry if this feels rushed. Some stuff happened and I didn't have much time to give this as much attention as I wanted to. I also didn't proofread this...
Tags/Warnings: Deep Sea Monster Valeria, Blood and Gore, Inaccurate Marine Biology, Kidnapping, Death, WLW
You struggled to get work after completing your bachelor's. No one was hiring. Or rather, no one was hiring you it felt like. You jealously followed the progress of the completion of a new marine base in the Mariana's Trench. A deep-rooted desperation and need to be among the team of scientists sent down to the deep blue. It should be you. It was your discovery of the Mariana's Trench that sparked your curiosity and love of life in the sea. While other kids liked wolves and cats, your favourite animal was the Mariana Snailfish. It's devastating that after investing all that time and money into your education, that you can't even find work.
You greet your coworker Rob as you enter the little coffee shop you work at.
"Hey," He says. "Do you think you could cover my shift next week?"
You check over the machines to make sure they're on the correct settings. "Sure, what for?"
"It's my mom's birthday and she wants to take the family to Italy." Rob grins. You try to push down the resentment. It must nice be wealthy enough to take trips out of the country. To be able to afford vacation time. Rob isn't here because he needs to be, he just wants some extra pocket money.
"That sounds fun." You force a smile, not wanting to rain on his parade. Everyone just seems to be having a better time then you. You struggled through school, struggled with money, can't find work, and your girlfriend had recently dumped you for a man. Realising a year and a half into your relationship that she actually didn't like women. You are a dead horse and life won't stop beating you.
The bell above the door rings as a customer walks in. You put on your customer service face and turn to face the man.
"Good morning, what can I-"
"Black coffee and a croissant."
You type in his order and tell him his total. Tempted to charge him an extra dollar. Once done, he grabs his coffee and croissant from your hands without much gratitude and hurries out. Having better places to be then some lowly coffee shop.
You spend your shift daydreaming. Thinking about how nice it would be to study whales on a base by the ocean. tagging and tracking fish. Spending three months seven miles below sea level. How unlucky you are to be around when technology strong enough to withstand the crushing pressures of the Mariana's Trench exists when you may never get the chance to experience it. Your shift can't go by fast enough. It feels like the hours are just crawling by. Luckily for you, you get to leave a few hours before closing. The sun is beginning to set. Las Almas is alight with a golden glow. Not even the sun's glory is enough to cheer you, for you are determined to remain bitter over the opportunities you feel you were cheated out of.
You reach your home and tiredly unlock the door. Taking off your shoes and dropping them somewhere nearby. You shut the door behind you and move through your apartment. It's a shitty, cramped space but it's cheap enough. Posters of marine life clutter the walls. Past symbols of your hopeful future now turned into just that: posters. You think about taking them down at least three times a week. You're not sure you're ever going to be a marine biologist. The heavy dread that you'll be stuck behind a counter for the rest of your life threatens to break you and you shove those thoughts away. Better to not think of them.
You set your keys down and look over the mail you picked up this morning. Phone bill, gas bill, rent, student loans. How encouraging. Your hands still as they reach a different envelope. Challenger Deep Project. Your heart pounds. That's the company behind the construction and scientific team of the new deep-sea lab in the Mariana's Trench. You make quick work in tearing open the envelope and pulling out the letter. Skimming over the name and address details.
'We hope this letter has reached you. The minds behind the Challenger Deep Project have come together and have laid down the path for the next steps in science. Never before has humanity been able to properly or extensively study the astounding depths of the Mariana's Trench. Our team of physicists have come up with technology strong enough to withstand the crushing pressures of Challenger Deep. Construction of Lab-07887 has been completed after thirteen years.
We are recruiting only the most qualified scientists to be the first to step foot down in Lab-07887. We were wary to consider you for this position as you have had zero previous experience as a marine biologist but after careful consideration and review of your university transcripts, we have decided to proceed. If you wish to join the team of scientists to be sent down to Lab-07887, contact us at our email to begin the preparation process. The team is to be sent down to Lab-07887 by October 31st, 2024. You will be accompanied by biologists in the marine and microbiology field, as well as two technicians, one nurse, and three soldiers.

-Mathew Connigin, Challenger Deep Project'
You read the letter. Then re-read it to make sure you're not misunderstanding. You squeal. Clapping your hands with glee. You've been selected as one of the most qualified scientists to join the expedition down to the Mariana's Trench. You knew all those grueling hours you put into your studies would pay off.
The month couldn't go by any slower. You had contacted the email and got all of the details set. Your bags have already been packed. Waiting beside your front door. Even your coworkers have noticed your exceptionally joyful mood. October 31st finally rolled around, and you set off for the airport at 4PM on the dot. Arriving thirty minutes earlier then you needed to be. What an opportunity this is. Not only will you get to study the Mariana's Trench, but this is surely going to kickstart your career.
You've never been inside of a submarine before. You always imagined what it would be like but it's not as fun as you thought. It's claustrophobic and dark. The bright white light in the ceiling seems to be swallowed by the jet-black abyss outside. It took two hours to fly to the meetup point and seven to make it to Lab-07887. You're feeling exhausted and drained. Ready to settle down into your quarters for the night. Your exhaustion is momentarily forgotten once you finally enter the lab. The walls are light blue with yellow strips running along the top. White linoleum floors shining beneath bright fluorescent lights. The real show stealer is the observation room. A room jutting out from the lab made of heavy-duty, fortified glass. spotlights strong enough to pierce through the darkness shine into the empty waters. Polychaete worms wriggle by.
"Amazing, isn't it?" Heath, an American microbiologist murmurs, Coming up beside you.
"It's incredible. I can't believe we're really several thousand feet down below sea level." You reply. In awe. The black expanse is infinite. Hiding all sorts of mysteries.
"I know. And we're the first to uncover it's secrets." He smiles. You smile back before catching sight of something on the glass.
"Is that a handprint?" You ask, furrowing your brows. Heath follows your gaze.
"Looks like it, probably one of the others." He shrugs.
"It looks like it's on the other side." You frown. Walking up to the glass. You peer at the marking. "It looks webbed." You swipe your fingers over it. A little alarmed to find the print is on the other side of the glass.
"It was probably one of the people who built it." Heath dismisses. Leaning down to inspect it. "Did you see our diving suits? They have webbed gloves."
"Oh." You say. Feeling foolish. That makes sense. You need to get a grip, you're here to learn and discover, not spook yourself with childish fears.
The intelligent endeavors are put off for the rest of the night. Right now, everyone is focused and getting familiar with the various passageways and equipment and settling in. Everyone is sat at a round table in the commons. Sharing meals and small tidbits about themselves. The three soldiers brought along have decided to go into a self-imposed exile. Sitting themselves down at a different table and not joining in with the chattering. One of the only other girls, Brie, turns to you.
"Why do we even need soldiers here?" She asks you quietly. Thin brows pulled down into a soft frown.
"Not sure." You shrug. You had wondered that yourself. "Maybe to fight off the deep-sea monsters lurking just out of sight." You grin. "I found a handprint on the other side of the glass in the observation room."
That hooks Brie's attention. She leans towards you with wide, excited eyes. "Really?"
You nod. "Yeah, it looked like the fingers were webbed, but it was probably from the people building this place." You say. "Our dive suits have webbed fingers."
Brie nods, looking disappointed at the logical explanation.
On the examination table lies a very large, very dead fish. You and the other biologists stare at it with confusion and excitement. It's something that has never been discovered before. It's got a similar body and internal system as an angler fish, but it's fins are elongated and jointed. The only thing you feel... weird about, is the fact that it has fingers. Well, apendages that look very close to fingers. Five thick thin bones sprout out from the ends. Slightly webbed and even growing nails. If you look closely enough it even looks like it has knuckles.
"Do you think this could have been what left that handprint?" You ask Heath. "Not a diver?"
"No." He shakes his head. "The fingers were slimmer and longer."
You all stare at this discovery in silence. This wasn't as magical as you thought. Sure, you knew the creatures in Challenger Deep were bound to be ugly, but you weren't expecting them to look so... human.
Heath backs up and takes off his gloves.
"I'm going to go out and see if I can find anything else." He says.
"Oh, can I come? I haven't had a chance to see the outside yet." You speak. Excited at the prospect of getting to actually explore the trench.
"Sure." He nods, standing from the table and taking his tray to the collection cart. You follow suit, setting your down on top of his and following him out into the hallway.
"Was that hand-fish the only thing you saw out there?" You ask curiously. Imaging what kind of things could be living undiscovered. Heath pauses and begins to speak but stammers a little, like he's changed his answer.
"Not really."
The dive room is separate to the rest of the base. Closed off by mechanically sealed doors to prevent flooding. The suits are big and bulky and hard to move in. Made to withstand the pressures of the deep. The flippers are thick and webbed, the gloves are made of a thinner material but still webbed in a way that's hard to get used to. On your backs are two, full oxygen tanks. Attached to a utility belt is a special GPS and light. Heath types in a code and the lights flash before the exit slowly opens. Water rushes in, making you anxious despite the suit.
You and heath wade into the emptiness outside. Few things can survive down here.
"It would be so cool if we could see a whalefall." You say, voice lost to the sea. If it weren't for the built-in radio, nobody would be able to communicate.
"It would." Heath agrees, his words muffled and staticky. You and Heath part ways. Wandering off on your own. It's unnervingly quiet and dark. You can feel the heavy pressure pressing against your limbs and ribs. Even through the suit designed to withstand it. You come up to a large cliff face. Shining your light, you see that it must go on for miles. High enough for your light to disappear into the darkness.
You walk alongside it, hand gliding against the rocky surface when you come across an opening. You aren't supposed to enter underwater caves. Not alone and not without markers. It's easy to get turned around and the oxygen only lasts for so long. Your curiosity wins out over your rationality, and you slowly wade inside. You'll just be very cautious. You're amazed to see some kind of biofluorescent algae growing on the walls. The slim tunnel opens up into a very large cavern. Several other tunnels opening up. You gasp as something darts back into one. Disappearing into the darkness. All kinds of thinks lurk in the abyss. Getting only more predatory the deeper you get. You reassure yourself that it's probably not a threat to you if it's trying to get away. Most things won't pass up on a meal down here. Not with how scarce they are.
You still feel... weird about it. You want to follow after it but this time your fears win and you retrace your steps. Just as you're about to exit the cave, something wraps around your leg. You scream as you're dragged back into the narrow tunnel. You turn over and shine your bright light over the creature. Heart stopping at the short glimpse you get of it. It hisses and darts away but for a split second you got a good look at it. A nose with cartilage attached to a narrow, huma face. Instead of round, large bulbous eyes that are the common feature among deep sea creatures, it had smaller, almond shaped eyes. You hurry away. Paranoid that you'll be grabbed again. You make it back to the base and hate how long it takes for the doors to open.
Nobody believed you. It was dark and you were already on edge. you didn't see anything humanoid down here. Knowing what's out there, only fifty feet away, sucks any excitement out of you. That experience is all it took for you to begin reconsidering things. Maybe it's better to leave these things undiscovered. Some things aren't meant to be comprehended by the human mind. You're unable to sleep. Feeling homesick and the effects of the lack of vitamin d. You sit crisscrossed in the observation room. It's the only room inside the lab that always has it's lights off. After a few minutes you see thin, ghostly tentacles gliding along the floor. It takes you a few moments to place the name. Magnapinna. Bigfin squid. Not much passes by. A few, small slug like creatures drag themselves by. The few that rub against the tentacles getting snatched up for a quick, easy meal.
Your eyes finally grow heavy, and you get up. Walking back to your quarters and missing the other creature. The one staring in at you with interest.
The loud, frightening blaring of the alarm is what wakes you. Ominous red lights flash thorough the building. Everyone stumbles from their rooms. Confused and stressed.
"What's going on?" Brie asks. Panic lacing her tired voice. One of the technicians pushes past you. Running down the hall. Something wet touches your feet and you look down. A thin layer of water is soaking into your socks.
"Oh God." You say. "I think the lab is flooding."
Everyone was panicking. Running around like chickens with their heads cut off. One of the soldiers rounded everyone up and got them into the diving suits.
"Stay calm." He commands. Giving everyone a look. "The glass in the observation room shattered, we're taking care of it. The building has a drain function in event of a flood. It shouldn't take longer than forty-five minutes. Forty-five minutes. "The control room is free of-" His voice is cut off by the scream echoing through the radio. Raw and primal. The sound only an animal facing it's death could make. That too is cut short. Not even the soldiers move.
"What happened?" Brie whispers. "What the fuck happened?"
Nobody responds to her.
"...Stay here." One of the soldiers says. He gestures at the other two to follow him.
"Where are you going?" Heath asks.
"We're going to check things out. Stay here."
The scientists are left alone. In the flooded dive room, red lights still flashing.
An hour passes with no sign from the soldiers or technicities. Heath attempts to speak to them through the radio but no reply comes through. Heavy dread slowly builds within you.
"...We should go look for them." Heath says seriously.
"What?" Brie snaps. Swiveling to look at him. "He told us to stay here. We don't know what's out there."
You find yourself agreeing. Something made that technician scream, something happened to the soldiers.
"If we don't, we'll just be stuck down here." Heath says grimly. "We need to get to the control room. They have a backup radio that connects to the surface."
The halls are completely flooded. The red lights cutting through the water are disorienting. You, Brie, and Heath slowly move through the water. It's dead silence in Lab-07887.
"What's that?" You ask, squinting and trying to see what that dark lump at the end of the hallway is. You fumble for your flashlight and shine it. It's still too far to see so you inch closer. Jerking back in surprise at what you find. "Oh fuck."
"What?"
"Fuck!" You turn back and hurry back. It's one of the soldiers with his throat ripped out.
"What did you see? Fucking tell us already!" Brie snaps, vibrating with fear.
"He's dead." You say shakily.
"Shit." Heath curses. "Hurry. We need to get to the control room now."
"What killed him?"
"Let's go." Heath br5rushes past you and turns down the hall. You and Brie follow.
"What killed him?" Brie repeats harshly.
"How the hell would I know?" You snap at her. "I was with you two."
The three of you make it to the control room door. Heath reaches out his hand to open the door when something slams into him. You and Brie are helpless to do anything but watch as something tears him apart. A long, scaled tail slams into the walls, leaving dents. The spine of the creature is sharp and protruding. Jutting out from under the skin. markings that almost look like tattoos cover it's back and shoulders. All you're able to focus on though, is the pained screaming from Heath.
Almost as fast as it began it stops. Heath goes quiet and still and the creature releases him from it's grasp. The creature tuns to face you and Brie. Those human eyes staring into yours. It blinks, the eyelids clear. It has hair. And breasts. Mammalian traits. Her eyes narrow and she swims towards you. Everything happens too quickly for you to react. A strong body collides with yours. Brie is screaming. Or maybe it's you. You expect to have your throat bitten out. To feel those sharp claws pierce through your lungs but it never comes. You're instead dragged along the ground. Carried away. You try to struggle only to accidently slam your head into the wall, knocking yourself out.
When you come to, you realise you're somewhere dry. You're not wearing your suit, and you are freezing. You sit up, seeing stone and rock. The cavern is alight with more glowing algae. In the corner is the monster. Long tail curled around it's body. She stares blankly. The sight is almost enough to kill you right then and there.
"Valeria." She says.
You furrow your brows. Wondering if you really just heard it speak. "... What?"
"My name." She replies.
"Valeria?"
Valeria nods. She abruptly crawls over to you, startling you into backing up. Valeria grabs ahold of your ankle and yanks you closer with a surprising strength. Scraping your back along the stone. "You smell good." She remarks. "I'm going to be keeping you."

Hello there! I hope you’re having a wonderful day or evening, depending on when you see this :)
I was wondering if you’d do a HC of how the batch reacts to being called the fem!readers husband! Whether for an undercover mission or they’re actually married is totally up to you! So sorry if you’ve already done this one and I just didn’t see it!
Lots of love
~💜
Aloha! No, I have not done this before. At least not that I can remember... 🤔🤔
I think, I smell some fun...
The Bad Batch x fem!reader HCs - The Husband
Fluff/Comfort/Slightly Suggestive/Tech's Part Is Angsty
__________
Initial situation:
You two are not yet a couple, but you have feelings for each other. Sometimes you flirt and generally enjoy spending time together. While running errands together on a market, you are approached by a vendor.
"Hello, such a pretty couple! Can I perhaps interest you and your husband in some of my goods? We have exquisite exotic fruits with aphrodisiac effects."
Hunter
You hear a nervous little giggle from Hunter. You smile yourself, feeling your cheeks get hot. The way you keep smiling at each other, and the way you interact with each other, it was only a matter of time before someone mistook you for a couple.
Hunter clears his throat sheepishly and says, "Um, we're not married."
"But a couple for sure," the merchant says with conviction.
You shake your head, "No, not a couple either."
The merchant blinks.
"But you'd like to be one!" he insists.
Hunter nervously tugs at his bandana and says, "Well, that may be so"
You look at him in surprise; until now, you've never addressed this tingling tension between you.
Your eyes meet, then you both look shyly in another direction.
The merchant grins, "Ah, I see, shy huh? My fruits can change that."
You chuckle and say braver than you feel, "Okay, what would you recommend to two shy idiots like us who don't dare?"
You feel Hunter staring at you, but he doesn't contradict you, he comes closer and watches curiously as the merchant shows and explains some of the exotic fruits to you. Finally, you look at him and you both grin.
The merchant wraps a few of them for you and as he hands you the bag he says, "Come by as soon as you are a couple, my wife has a wonderful catering service for the wedding party."
Echo
His first reaction is a confused, "Huh?
"I just asked your wife if you two might be interested in my fruit."
Echo looks at you and you at him. You see his ears turn red, but he doesn't contradict the merchant.
He likes to cook, in general he likes to prepare food, it's a kind of hobby, and he's very good at it. Which you also mention to the merchant.
"Oh, a man with class, you are lucky".
You laugh softly and say, "Echo, take a look, maybe you can find some fruit for a stimulating dessert?"
Echo comes closer and says dryly, "Well, um, just the two of us will eat that, won't we?"
"Of course," you say with a soft laugh.
You buy some of the fruit and the merchant calls after you, "Recommend me further if you are satisfied."
After a while you say quietly laughing, "Husband and wife."
Echo murmurs, "Doesn't sound so bad"
"Hmm?"
"Oh nothing"
Wrecker
He laughs heartily, playfully pulls you close to him and squeezes you against his side.
"My little wifey and I are always interested in culinary delicacies," he says happily, playing along with the game.
You are so caught off guard at first that you just smile dumbly and try to process what is happening.
Wrecker is chatting heartily with the merchant, getting advice, picking out some fruit, and smiling at you all the while. He seems so adorably cheerful that you wouldn't even dream of admonishing him or correcting the mix-up.
Again and again, he winks at you mischievously, as if you were both about to play a prank. You're not quite sure what Wrecker thinks about you or you two together. But for now, you're enjoying this little game.
As you both finally walk away from the stand with a bag of fruit, he looks at you, he's grinning, his ears are red, and he says conspiratorially, "Funny, isn't it, that he thought we were a couple? Hey, should we maybe go to that little grove you like so much? The fruits are good for a picnic."
Your heart races.
"Wrecker, you know what aphrodisiac means, right?"
"Um, no, should I?"
You sigh, but you smile at him as you explain.
"It increases libido, sexual readiness, the desire to be intimate."
His eyes get big.
"Oooooh," he says stretched, after a brief pause he asks mischievously, "So, shall we go to the grove?"
Tech
His holopad is hanging on his belt for once, his attention was completely on you today, and you enjoy it to the fullest. It does not surprise you that one believes you for a couple. The way you look at him, and he smiles shyly at you, it is bound to happen sooner or later.
Tech adjusts his goggles and says matter-of-factly, "We're not married."
"But a couple, yes?"
"No, not a couple either," he says.
The dealer looks from one to the other.
"But you two are definitely in love with each other, you can tell from a distance".
You see Tech's ears turn red, the helmet he had tucked under his arm earlier hastily finding its place on his head again as Tech more or less tries to hide under it.
But then he says something that startles you.
"That would be unwise."
You feel yourself getting hot and cold, and your guts tighten. The merchant looks from one to the other, confused.
"Why is that?" he asks the question on your mind.
Tech sighs and says, "I have an unsteady life, a dangerous one at that. I couldn't offer a steady home to a partner or even a wife, no real security. So I guess I will remain single."
The merchant as well as you are speechless. You feel as if he has just kicked you in the pit of your stomach.
As you continue to walk, you are silent and stare ahead. You don't feel like exploring the market anymore. You feel like crying, but you hold back. You were so sure that he liked you too, so sure that sooner or later you would find each other, get together. Now you feel down, a shattered dream.
He stops at a stand with flowers, buys a beautiful bouquet and holds it out to you. When you look at him questioningly, he says, "I feel like I've made you sad."
You tentatively pick up the bouquet, stare at the flowers and bite your tongue, trying not to say anything stupid or start crying.
"Other people," he says after clearing his throat, "Shouldn't know how much I like you."
You blink and look up at him from the bouquet.
"What, I don't understand…"
He shrugs his shoulders uncertainly, pulls you into a quiet corner, and takes off his helmet again. His cheeks and ears are flushed, his hair a bit disheveled by the helmet. He looks so adorable it hurts.
"It's true that my life is uncertain, dangerous. The Empire is after me and my brothers, the occasional bounty hunter now and then. If people know how much I like you, they might try to hurt you to get to me."
Your heart almost leaps into your throat.
"So you do like me then?"
Tech blinks and says, "I thought it was obvious."
"And you don't want to stay single?"
He smirks softly at you.
Crosshair
He cocks an eyebrow at you, then at the vendor. Before you can say anything, Crosshair steps closer and looks at the fruit.
You stand next to him. He throws you a sly smile, then asks the vendor, "Which one has the most intense effect?"
You feel heat rising in your cheeks and ears. You wonder what he's up to.
Crosshair listens to the merchant's advice for quite a while, while you watch speechlessly as he packs an entire bag of the recommended fruit.
You sigh softly. You know that Crosshair is popular with the women, and you know that he has always enjoyed it, even though he hasn't had anymore womanizing for a while now.
You two find a quiet corner and sit down at a pretty fountain.
Quietly, you ask him, "So, which woman gets served these fruits this time?"
He unwraps one, takes his knife and cuts it into pieces as you watch in surprise.
"Well my wife, of course," he says perkily, holding out a piece to you, "Care for a slice, honey?"

Jealous Girl
♡ ˚。⋆୨୧˚
Pairing: Neteyam Sully x female!omatikaya!reader
CW: lots of fluff <3, angst (if you squint), funny and crazy vibes???! lol, reader is betrothed to Neteyam, madly-in-love-with-reader Neteyam, comfort, praising kink, tsaheylu is mentioned, a bit childish but adorable reader, young love, mentions of sex, dirty talk, mentions of sexual fluids, a couple so in love it's gross <33, mentions of getting someone pregnant, breeding kink
Na'vi words:
Yawntutsyìp: little loved one
Yawnetu: loved one
Hì'i syulang: small flower (not sure if it's correct but I put hì'i - small in size - and syulang - flower - together so... sorry if it's incorrect but I tried lol)
Not proofread.
♡ ˚。⋆୨୧˚
"I'm jealous of your Ikran, Teyam" you said while you watched Neteyam patting on his Ikran's back with affection, pouty lips making you look adorable, just like a small child who's a bit spoiled but still lovely towards everyone.
"What?!" He chuckled violently "Why, yawntutsyìp?" Neteyam asked you, not believing the words he had just heard "What the hell are you saying?!" He started to laugh hard
You frowned, still making him think you're the cutest thing to have ever walked on Pandora, since The First Songs. You were his betrothed, his future mate, only waiting for him to become the clan leader, so both your families would throw a big wedding party that would happen right after the Olo'eyktan ceremony, and you could finally make tsaheylu with Neteyam
"You're always bonding with your Ikran, Teyam. But you still haven't made tsaheylu with me." You protested, sounding a bit crazy.
Neteyam knew you were being unreasonable but still you looked so damn adorable in his eyes. He was head over heels for you.
"C'mon, hì’i syulang!" Neteyam exclaimed, laughing at your silliness "It's a totally different kind of tsaheylu!"'
"Even so... I feel jealous. He is... too lucky!" You frowned again, making Neteyam laugh, having so much fun with the situation.
He walked to you, held you close and tight by your waist, his grip on you so strong, it felt like there was glue bringing the both of you together.
"You're unbelievable." Neteyam had a big, cute smile adorning his plump, ocean colored lips. He stroked your hair delicately "My sweet, sweet jealous girl. My yawnetu." He kept chuckling
You looked deep into his wide yellow eyes "Promise me you wanna make tsaheylu with me as much as I want to make it with you?" You had the expression of a needy kitten who's asking to be pet
"You have no reason at all to doubt it. I'm as eager to make tsaheylu with you as you are. I can't wait until I can touch, kiss and feel all the parts of your perfect body, my princess." You started to feel your pussy getting wet, just by hearing him talk about it
Neteyam rubbed his big thumb on your cheek and you smiled, gazing at him with eyes so filled with joy it was almost too much to bear in your sensitive, anxious heart
"I'm going crazy too, you know?" His lips got close to your ear and whispered "When we finally make the bond and I finally make love to you... Eywa... you're gonna want me inside of you all day, all night, yawntutsyìp. 'Cause I'll fuck you so good. And I won't let you leave my hammock for days, my darling. You'll be there to satisfy all my needs and lemme pleasure you until I know for sure you're carrying my baby inside your womb. Only then I'll give you a break. A very short one."
Neteyam's lips slowly touched yours. It was a calm but incredibly passionate kind of kiss. He rubbed his tongue on yours over and over and, after some time spent like that, he used his soft lips to suck on your tongue. Neteyam gave you multiple wet, delicate pecks too. All of that made lewd sounds echoe through the fresh forest air surrounding your filled with heat bodies.

Cooking headcannons for touchstarved Li’s when? 👀
Apparently now, anon! Some Cooking/Baking/General Meal Time headcanons. Sorry as always that I am so late, lol. I got distracted by Halloween/October things. ✦✦✦✦✦
Vere: ✦ Canonically, he’s bad at it. But W H Y?? ✦ When I thought about why Vere might be a bad cook I decided he is likely the kind to get distracted, try to make everything at once, get bored with the instructions, etc. It's not the kind of food he craves, so cooking is very low-stakes to him. ✦ I’m trying to decide if I think his sense of taste is remarkably different from a human. Since his nose is impeccable, he SHOULD be able to determine if something is going to be good or not… ✦ Perhaps the real issue standing in his way is: Human food does not satiate him.
✦ Though he does have human foods he likes to eat. He's a texture person. Loves a delicate texture, easy to slice through with his fangs. Something supple. ✦ When he gets the cooking urge, he cooks a ton of food at once. Absolutely no intention of eating most of it. ✦ MC: “Who is going to eat this?” Vere: “I’ve been fairly blatant about my interest in doing so, but you are willfully obtuse.” ✦ If you'll allow me to quote myself:
"Vere cooks how others might enjoy a leisurely stroll.
Which is to say: he seems to be having fun, but you’re not convinced he intends on really going anywhere." The journey is often the destination. ✦ You ask him to cook or bake with you?: (If he likes you:) "I suppose. If you think you have the stamina." If he doesn't like you it's still a yes but you're the meal. ✦ If you're helping him cook, BE CAREFUL WITH THE KNIFE! If you nick yourself and draw blood...you might get more than you bargained for...
Leander: ✦ The fandom has spoken. This man can't cook. He's just...too innovative.~ He could follow a recipe. He won't...but he could. ✦ You ask him to cook or bake with you?: He actually sounds awkward for a moment. “Ooohh, uh... you want to cook together?” But he bounces back quickly. “Of course we can do that! Sounds like fun. I’m sure our favorite barkeep won’t mind, we can use the kitchen here!” (She minds. She looks in on the two of you frequently to make sure you’re not going to burn the Wick down.) ✦ If you know your way around the kitchen already, he's happy to take a backseat. :) He measures out ingredients and has them all neatly ready for you. ✦ If you make him take the lead: Is that sweat sliding down the back of his neck? And his face is awfully red. "Ah, actually, I just thought of a better idea." How about the two of you rely on the expertise of your favorite cooks/bakers from around town for this one? Really immerse yourselves for a day (er, a few hours), learn from a professional. Who would you like to teach you? He can pull some strings and make it happen! :) :) :) ✦ ~Magical meal prep.~ He slices and dices with spell work. Like it's a party trick and not a potentially grisly weapon. Don't think too hard on the other potential applications of that spell, okay? :) ✦ Everything can be improved with cheese! (AKA: He puts cheese on top of everything.) ✦ He's unlikely to share this part of himself of his own accord, but... Naturally, he still knows all of his high society dining etiquette. He can tell you all about place settings and the correct formal silverware order and how to tell which fork is the dessert fork, etc. Hopefully you'll never be put in a situation where that's knowledge that you need. He really doesn't want to subject you to that kind of person, if he can help it. Those people are closer to the Senobium and most would do anything for a favor. Best to stick to places where it's more safe. Right here next to him is free. ✦ He has a brilliant mind for what wines go with what foods. One of the few drink recommendations you can trust him on. "Of course, these are all just suggestions. What matters is that you're drinking what you like, right?" (<- He's trying to sell you on his new mixolology concoction. Do not trust.) ✦ Could hold a formal tea for you but you will really have to wheedle it out of him. And he'll only say yes if you agree that it stays between the two of you. "You have to pinky promise." ;) and it only counts if it's bare skin. ✦ That said, he's at his most comfortable when he's in some little hole-in-the-wall, enjoying great local food that someone else made. ✦ Extremely interested in any dishes you enjoy that are local to your home/culturally significant to you. Will hunt someone down who can make them for you if you're feeling homesick. (Or will find the ingredients if you prefer to make it yourself.) He's a good guy like that. :)
Kuras: ✦ He tries to make the recipe but he just makes things worse. Like many things in his long life. ✦ He's worse than Vere. A lot worse. 'Possibly the worst cook in the entire city' type worse. ✦ Cooking is just so outside of his realm of existence. ✦ It doesn't help that Everything tastes like p u r e n o t h i n g to him. It's not just that he doesn't need to eat, the very sensation of taste is beyond him. ✦ But he occasionally likes to try to make food for his friends and loved ones. He understands that food sharing is an important human social behavior and he'd like to participate how he can and show that he values his bonds with the people he chooses. ✦ He is uniquely awful at it though. Time has made very little improvement. ✦ Ever since that Valentine's Day cake, baking is his ✨passion.✨ Mhin had a good reaction, so he's decided not to give; he made such an obvious breakthrough with that one. ✦ You ask him to cook or bake with you?: He accepts immediately. He's overjoyed. "I'm sure this will be an enlightening experience. I confess myself as rather lacking when it comes to this activity so please consider me your humble student. Anything you wish to teach me would be appreciated." ✦ Of course, the two of you will have to work around the clinic's schedule. (You ought to realize quickly that he does not have a good gauge of time when it comes to meals. Take the initiative or starve tbh.) ✦ He is very attentive to everything you say. His earnest face while listening to you is unbearably adorable. Frequently tilts his head like a cat. ✦ He hangs off your every word and even asks questions. Though, some of the questions you don’t quite know how to answer. (“When you chew, do you instinctively know how many times is appropriate, or must you count?” “....I…what?”) ✦ You think that particular question might be a joke... Hard to say. ✦ Even when you are running the show and watching him to make sure he does everything right…every time something somehow ends up going wrong. ✦ Pro tip: don't let him put anything into the oven or determine the cooking/baking times. Otherwise, things will get...strange. ✦ You are the test subject–I mean: taste tester. Kuras insists that your opinion is of the utmost importance. Are you brave enough? If not, are you tough enough to politely decline when his eyes are sparkling softly with affection and excitement like that??
Think of it this way:
If you get sick (which you will) you’re already at the doctor’s! ✨Convenient!✨ ✦ Comfortable silence in the kitchen when they two of you are working together. <3 ...As soon as you accept that nothing will be edible. Actually, maybe you should stop this. This is probably more food waste than a post-apocalyptic world can afford.
Ais: ✦ Of course he knows how. ✦ Well. Maybe not him specifically. But give him a moment, he’s pretty sure he’s got the equivalent of a Michelin 3 Star chef (or two, but who’s counting?) “in here somewhere.” (He taps on his temple.) ✦ He doesn't have an interest in human food. "You want recommendations try asking Pretty Boy." ✦ He does like to experiment with making treats for his Soulless. He’s bought them snacks from the market on occasion, but he likes the feeling of taking care of them and providing for them contributing with his own hands. Plus, he can make them treats that are a lot less grain heavy. They prefer meat.
✦ (Most aren't stupid enough to try and poison the treats he buys, but he did kill someone for trying once. Not that the shit they put inside was strong enough. He ate the stupid biscuit right in front of them just to prove a point. Last thing they ever saw.) ✦ If the Sea Spring has a kitchen…look, he hasn't been in there in a while. There might be mold. There is almost certainly mold. ✦ Luckily, Kuras has a kitchen! And he doesn’t seem to use it, so it’s basically free real estate. If Ais is ever in need of somewhere to cook or bake, he’ll be using Kuras’ space. ✦ He can do meat preparation really well (he’s an absolute butcher with anything sharp) and smoke meat really well but spending an overabundance of his time preparing meals (meals that aren't even the preferred sustenance of Monsters like him) feels like a poor use of his life. He's got shit to do. ✦ You ask him to cook or bake with you?: "Huh... Nah. Don't think I will..." <- neutral bastard “Or what?” <- He feels like riling you up a little extra today. ✦ (You're more likely to get that experience if you catch him doing it of his own accord and join in/keeping him company in the clinic while he works.)
Mhin: ✦ Diametrically opposed to Leander (and Vere), they will follow the recipe exactly whenever possible. ✦ The only one you can trust to make something edible without fail. ✦ Mhin is an alchemist. Cooking and baking are both easy for them. None of these components are even going to explode or create poisonous gas if mixed. The worst thing that will happen is that they’ll eat a meal they aren’t completely satisfied with. (And honestly, what else is new these days?) ✦ They are impressively quick and precise in the kitchen! They can cut things so fast! Can also cut fruit into animal shapes for reasons that they will not explain. ✦ When they cook, they are making meals to feed themself. It’s a necessity that they are performing to keep themself able to tolerate their strenuous life. At the same time, it relaxes them to an extent–it grounds them, it’s something concrete to focus on that isn’t … –but it’s a necessity first and foremost. ✦ Mhin’s cooking has a tendency to be b l a n d. They are filled with too much self-loathing to season more interested in the nutritional value of the meal than its flavor. Plus, spices are costly and they aren’t about to spend any of their hard earned money on the luxury of taste. ✦ Mhin’s baking is significantly more inspired than their cooking. If they have the good fortune and the wherewithal to bake themself a little treat, they have a good intuition for (delicate, sweet) flavors. They never get the opportunity, but. The ability is there. ✦ In another life (an easier life) baking could have been a hobby. ✦ You ask them to cook or bake with you?: "..." Mhin isn’t the type to teach someone, but… If you're any good, you could be a useful second pair of hands. If you're hopeless...they should really leave you to your own devices, but… someone needs to tell you to stop holding a knife like that. It's annoying to look at. It will just take them a few seconds to correct you. And then you're on your own! (They still stay. They were using Kuras' kitchen first.) ✦ Will scold you for holding the knife wrong. Tries to explain the correct way–which is to say, the safest way–to handle it but... They’re not used to having to verbalize their thoughts/instructions to people, since they are always alone. ✦ So they'll finally just settle in behind you and show you how to position your hands and cut away from yourself. ✦ Backs off ASAP because being able to feel your body heat and being so close to you flusters them. (Not to mention whatever is happening with your hands.) They go off into their own little corner to meal prep extra because they want to be prepared–definitely not so that they can look away from you and focus on something else for a while. ✦ Mhin can tell you about the chemical reaction that makes bread rise. Mhin can tell you why and how each ingredient is important, which ones you can skip and substitute if supplies in this post Fogfall world are running low. Mhin can tell you that you are not doing that right, what are you doing? Stop. That is way too much vanilla extract. ✦ If you ever reach their maximum affection level: Their face looks like it is absolutely on fire when they offer to share their favorite dessert this dessert they’ve really been craving with you. They’ll even teach you how to make it, and you two could make it together if you'd like...
#Obligatory vanilla extract joke#toxintouch writing: headcanons#tone indicator: just bein' a silly little guy (gn)#toxintouch: {pick} prompt {your poison}#i'll tag this...later lol#tag wrangle l8r#touchstarved headcanons

Summer of Love masterlist
A/N - wow I'm back with a new part of Summer of Love?? this was long overdue and I kinda went off on one here so I really hope I did this series some justice with the newest part. there's actually a part in here based off something that legitimately happened to me when I worked at a summer camp in America so there's a fun fact for ya :). anyway I won't ramble, as per y'all, please send in requests, feedback, and enjoy!!!
Waking up to the sound of your alarm would normally fill you with a sense of dread at having to face a day of work, but since arriving at camp your excitement levels had been climbing with each waking moment. Today it felt like they were at an all-time high because today was finally the day that the children would arrive and camp would begin properly. You get up and change before making your way over to the dining hall to have some breakfast, greeting all your friends as you join them at the table.
“How are you guys feeling about the fact camp is going to be in full swing by tonight?” Ella asks, a clear excitement in her voice as she glances at each of you in turn, all of you nodding with wide smiles.
“I can’t wait for it to get started!” You reply, practically grinning ear to ear with excitement.
“It’s going to be one hell of an experience.” Bradley then says, his smile matching yours as the group of you continue to talk, trying to predict what the next two months could hold for you all until Kerry stands at the front of the room and addresses you all.
“Alright, you guys! As you are all aware, the kids will be arriving this afternoon so take the morning to make sure your cabins are spotless and welcoming for when the children and their parents arrive so they can feel settled the moment they arrive.” Kerry announces, looking around the room at all the excited members of staff who were eagerly anticipating the official start of the camp session.
After Kerry had finished explaining what would transpire when the children began to arrive as well as telling you what time they were due to arrive, you were all dismissed to go and finish preparing your cabins for the arrival of the kids.
You arrive back at your cabin and quickly get to work, writing out little notes for each girl assigned to your cabin and placing one on each of the beds in the cabin so the girls have a bed assigned but you weren’t going to be upset if they wanted to swap with someone else. As long as it was agreed upon and caused no arguments, you were happy for the girls to make their experience as good as possible in their own way.
Once you’ve placed the notes down on the beds, you do a sweep of the whole cabin, getting rid of any outside dirt that may have snuck its way in before wiping down all the bedside tables to rid them of dust that had settled over time. When you were satisfied that your cabin was completely tidy and looked welcoming enough, you got changed into the correct uniform you needed to be wearing for when the children arrived and made your way over to the staff lounge to relax and hang out with your friends before lunch.
Meanwhile, across the camp, Bradley was making similar preparations for his cabin. Unlike you, Bradley had not made any notes or anything similar to put on the beds. He had chosen to roughly sketch out a layout of the cabin and write names on each of the four beds in the cabin but he wasn’t going to put up much of a fight if they wanted to switch around. All Bradley could hope for was that none of the boys in his cabin had heavy gear that they would ask for a hand with. While Bradley had remembered to take his medication this time, his back was still not up to any heavy lifting tasks just yet. When Bradley was satisfied the cabin was clean after thoroughly cleaning as if he were back in the naval academy awaiting a room inspection, he changed into the appropriate uniform. He then made his way to the staff lounge as you had done.
“Hey, Bradley.” You greet him warmly the moment you notice him enter the room, smiling up at him as he crosses the room to sit on the sofa with you.
“Hey, y/n. Cabin all sorted?” Bradley asks with a smile, easing himself back against the sofa cushions as you nod your head.
“I think so. All it needs now is some campers. Are you all sorted?” You reply, smiling softly at Bradley as he mirrors your nod.
“Yeah, all sorted.” He says, smiling as you begin to talk about how excited you were for camp to start properly. Bradley thought you had the cutest smile, and that it was so cute seeing you so excited for this.
Before Bradley could continue his conversation with you, he felt his phone buzz in his pocket and he tilted his head slightly in confusion when he saw Maverick’s name displayed across his phone for a Facetime call.
“I’m so sorry, I’ve got to take this really quick.” Bradley excuses himself apologetically, grabbing his headphones from his locker and plugging them into his phone before sitting out on the porch and picking up the call.
“Hey, Mav.” He greets his godfather with a small smile.
“Hey, kid. I remembered you saying that camp officially starts this afternoon so I figured I’d get a last-minute call in before you’re too busy.” Maverick starts before Penny crosses to stand behind him, leaning over his shoulder so Bradley can see her.
“He means I reminded him.” She says, eliciting a chuckle from Bradley as she moves off camera again to continue with what she is doing.
“How’s things back home?” Bradley asks, partially curious as to how things at Top Gun have been, and partially trying to deal with his fear of missing out.
“It’s good. Pretty quiet without you and Hangman butting heads that’s for sure. But you know the Daggers, they’re able to keep me on my toes.” Maverick admits with a soft chuckle as he thinks back to all the shenanigans he’s had to put up with since becoming Captain of the Dagger Squadron.
“I never thought I’d say this, but I sort of miss butting heads with Jake. But don’t tell him I said that, his ego doesn’t need any more boosts, he gets enough from the women at the Hard Deck.” Bradley says, finding himself admitting something he thought he’d die before saying out loud.
“Your secret is safe with me Bradley. I will be honest, we do all miss you here. I wish nothing more than for you to be flying with us but I know I need to stick to my guns and let you finish up your recovery before you come back.” Maverick says, a solemn expression crossing his face as Bradley nods his head sadly.
“I understand, Mav.” Bradley says, sadness tugging lightly at his heart as he thinks of everything he is missing back in San Diego. He knew coming to work at a summer camp was his idea, and he was yet to have any regrets about it. But his heart still longed to be up in the air, flying with his friends and doing his duty.
“Your back isn’t giving you too much trouble is it?” Maverick asks quietly as if people were potentially listening in to their conversation. Bradley could only bring himself to shake his head at Maverick’s question, not trusting his voice enough to convince his godfather that his back wasn’t troubling him.
“Hey, Bradley. I just thought I’d let you know we’re heading over for lunch so you can come and join us whenever you’re ready. But don’t rush though. Finish your call whenever.” Bradley is shaken out of his pity party thoughts by your soft voice and gentle hand on his shoulder, leaning down and speaking softly so as not to cause too much of a ruckus while he’s on the phone before offering him a small smile when he looked up at you and then leaving the porch and crossing to the dining hall, Bradley’s gaze following you the whole way.
“Who was that?” Maverick’s voice snaps Bradley back to reality, feeling a slight blush cover his cheeks at being caught out.
“It was… uh- y/n.” Bradley stumbles over his words, only serving to deepen his blush as he watches Maverick raise an eyebrow.
“I see. Is y/n your girlfriend?” Maverick asks, watching and fighting back a laugh when Bradley’s eyes widen.
“No. She’s a friend who happens to be a girl. That’s it.” Bradley defends himself, trying to hide his feelings as Maverick hums in amusement, clearly not believing Bradley’s adamant denial of his feelings.
“Pete, leave Bradley alone.” Penny scolds in the background, shooting Maverick a look when he glances away from his phone to look at her, warning him to behave.
“Look Mav, I should get going if I want to get lunch before the kids arrive.” Bradley says, glancing over at the dining hall as he feels his stomach grumble at the thought of food.
“Yes, of course. Have a good time, kid. Message us when you can and I’ll keep you up to date on what the Daggers get up to.” Maverick says, smiling as he and Bradley bid each other goodbye before ending the call. Bradley pulls his headphones out with a sigh and moves to stand up, wincing when his back twinges in pain before shoving his phone back in his locker and crossing to the dining hall. He quickly plates up some food once he enters before scanning the room, unable to stop the smile from covering his face when he sees you sat with your friends, one seat free for him.
“Hey guys.” Bradley greets everyone at the table as he sits down, placing his plate down in front of him and digging in.
“Oh, Bradley you didn’t need to rush your call if you weren’t done I could’ve plated some stuff up for you.” You say apologetically, feeling bad that he ended his call so soon after you and the others came up for lunch.
“Don’t worry about it, Mav isn’t one for long calls anyway so we probably would’ve finished the call by now anyway.” Bradley says with a shrug, placing his fork down and lifting the cup of water to his lips.
“Mav? Who names their kid that?” Cameron asks, confused, glancing over at Bradley who quickly realises his slight error.
“My godfather is in the Navy, same as me. Mav is short for Maverick. That’s his callsign.” Bradley clarifies, receiving nods of understanding in response.
“Wait so if you’re in the Navy too, that means you must have a fancy callsign too. What is it then?” Nathan asks, causing a clamour of people wanting to know Bradley’s callsign as he rolls his eyes and shakes his head.
“I’ve got enough people calling me by my callsign in my day-to-day life I don’t need to add you guys into it as well. It’s staying a secret sorry guys.” Bradley shrugs with a grin as everyone jokingly groans at the lack of a callsign reveal. As you finish up your lunch together, you are suddenly aware that it’s only a matter of time before the children start to arrive so with one last good luck to each other, you leave the dining hall and head your separate ways to your cabins to await the arrival of your campers.
You wait with a smile inside your cabin, you had the door propped open so parents and children alike could see that you were inside as you busied yourself with last-minute adjustments so you didn’t look like you were just sitting around bored.
“Hello?” You hear a voice come from behind you, making you turn to face the owner of the voice, seeing two parents and their daughter between them.
“Hello, it’s so nice to meet you! What’s your name?” You greet the three happily, welcoming them into the cabin and addressing the young girl who glances down at the floor, clearly shy.
“I’m Zoe.” She says quietly, fidgeting with the hair tie on her wrist.
“Hi Zoe, I’m y/n and I’m going to be your counsellor for the summer. Would you like to find the bed with your name on it?” You introduce yourself with a gentle smile before offering her something to do as she nods, creeping towards each of the beds in turn until she eventually points out the bed with her name card on it.
“Look at that Zo, you’ve got a great view of the lake isn’t that amazing?” Her dad states, glancing out the window that sat beside her bed, wrapping his arm around his daughter and looking at the view with her.
“It’s Zoe’s first time here so she’s a little nervous since it’s her first time spending a good chunk of time away from home.” Zoe’s mother sidles up alongside you to mumble and you turn to face her.
“That is completely understandable. My job is to make sure she has a great time here.” You say with a nod, understanding her potential homesickness and shyness in a new place. You then help get her bags in before Zoe’s parents bid her goodbye, leaving you to help her unpack her things with the space she has. You made small talk with Zoe, asking her about some of the activities she had signed up for and told her about how friendly the counsellors running those activities were so she felt less nervous about them. Soon another girl entered the cabin with her parents trailing behind.
“Hi, I’m Julia!” The girl introduces herself to both you and Zoe, leading her parents into the cabin and quickly locating the bed with her name on it as if she’d done it before.
“Wow, you knew to look for the name card, guess I’m not the first one to have tried it, huh?” You joke with a laugh as Julia’s parents set her bags down by her bed.
“This is my second summer here, and my last counsellor did the same thing so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to check.” Julia says with a smile as she instantly starts to unpack her belongings.
“Well, I’m y/n and I’ll be your counsellor for the summer.” You introduce yourself to the young girl as she grins over at you. Julia’s parents mingle for a few more minutes, talking to you as Julia starts to make conversation with Zoe, helping her to break out of her shell a little as she shares some of her spare fabrics to make curtains for the windows as you smile at the interactions. Julia’s parents then said goodbye to their daughter who quickly hugged them goodbye before returning to her conversation with Zoe. Soon your last two girls arrived at the same time with their parents in tow.
“You two must be Louisa and Megan. I’m y/n, your counsellor.” You introduce yourself to the girls as you help their parents bring their bags into the cabin.
“It’s nice to meet you.” The two girls chirp in tandem, smiling and crossing to their beds and starting to unpack, introducing themselves to the others as their parents join you.
“These two have been best friends since birth. And they’ve been coming here since we found out about this camp so they definitely know how it works around here.” The woman who introduces herself as Louisa’s mother says as she watches her daughter happily interacting with her new cabinmates.
“They definitely look like they know what they’re doing.” You muse as you watch the two girls giving advice and helping Zoe and Julia set up their makeshift curtains before doing the same with the window nearest their beds before turning to you.
“Hey, y/n. Do you want some fabric for this little window here? That way you can have some privacy when you’re in your area of the cabin.” Megan asks, holding up some fabric as you glance from it to the little window that sits in the wall separating your cabin area from the girls.
“That’s a great idea, Megan. We can make them into little curtains so whenever we’re in here during the day I can have them open to keep an eye on you all.” You joke, eliciting giggles from all the girls as the parents chuckle too.
“Well, I guess we should be off then.” Both Megan and Louisa’s parents say, getting hugs from their children before bidding everyone goodbye and then heading out of the cabin to begin their journey home.
After they leave, you turn to your campers, a smile on your face as you watch them helping each other unpack and decorate the cabin.
“Alright girls, how about we get to know each other a little while we decorate? I know Megan and Louisa know each other but there’s no harm in being friends with your whole cabin is there? Why don’t we go around and everyone can introduce themself with their name and an activity they’re excited for.” You say, addressing each of the girls as they all nod glancing around each other, introducing themselves by name and naming an activity they’re excited for. Zoe was excited to learn how to waterski, Louisa was excited to horse ride, Megan was excited to audition for the camp musical, and Julia was excited to do some arts and crafts. It made you happy to hear how excited these girls were for the various activities the camp had to offer. You sat with the girls as they helped you make curtains out of the fabric Megan gave to you and once they were made you entered your part of the cabin and hung it up in the window, pulling them back and tying them back so they were open and you could see into the girls area of the cabin.
“I don’t know about you guys but I think we have the best cabin ever.”
Meanwhile, over in Bradley’s cabin he was just greeting the parents of the last boy to arrive in his cabin, he had already greeted Nick, Tom, and Alex so by process of elimination it was Lucas who had just arrived. He greeted the parents with a shake of the hand before introducing himself to Lucas and pointed out his bed so he could start to unpack.
“I hate to be a bother but Lucas’ trunk is a little heavy, we had to cart it down here. Do you think you could give me a hand bringing it into the cabin?” Lucas’ dad asks, looking very apologetic for having to ask in the first place. Bradley knew he should say no, he could picture his doctor and Maverick screaming at him to not help but Bradley couldn’t bring himself to turn down the ask for help.
“Of course, we’ll take a handle each.” Bradley says with a smile, stepping outside the cabin to where the small wooden cart with the trunk on was sitting. Bradley took one of the handles in his hand while Lucas’ dad took the other. Upon lifting it, Bradley was relieved to find out it was nowhere near as heavy as he had anticipated it to be, in fact, he was sure he could’ve carried it himself, but he couldn’t ignore the throbbing pain in his back when he lifted it so he did his best to get it into the cabin as quickly as possible.
“There we go.” Lucas’ dad says as he and Bradley put the trunk down on the floor for Lucas to begin unpacking.
“That hardly seemed like a problem for you.” Lucas’ mum praises Bradley, smiling as Bradley shakes his head with a chuckle.
“I’m pretty sure the bag I brought was heavier than that.” Bradley says with a laugh as Lucas’ parents exchange a look and laugh.
“Well, we’ll leave Lucas in your capable hands then. Have a good time son.” Lucas’ dad says, bidding goodbye to his son who says a goodbye in response before focusing on unpacking and making his bed while chatting with the other three boys in his cabin. Bradley then decides to make the effort to get to know the boys who very clearly all knew each other already and so strikes up a conversation asking what they’re looking forward to doing. Unsurprisingly, Bradley soon found out that most of the boys were excited to work on their sports skills, mostly in soccer, which meant Bradley had to make sure he was the best instructor he could be to help the boys get to the skill level they’d like to. Bradley continues to chat with his campers for a while, helping them set up their areas until he clocks the time on his watch.
“Alright guys, we should head out to the assembly point.” He says, remembering that there was a meeting to welcome everyone to camp before everyone was given the assigned table that they had to sit at for breakfast and dinner while at lunch they could sit wherever they wanted. Bradley ushers his campers out of the cabin once they’re ready and they make their way to the assembly point, finding a place to sit and waiting as more and more people arrive and find somewhere to sit. Bradley saw you arrive with your campers in tow, you had brief eye contact and you offered him a small wave before one of your campers pointed out a place you could all sit so you then followed her to the free spot.
Soon, Kerry stood before you all and welcomed all the campers to the beginning of camp, which was met with excited cheers from the campers as some began to murmur excitedly amongst each other until Kerry quietened them down, her smile still wide and welcoming. When everyone is calmed down again, Kerry explains that she’s going to call out the table number, and then the people who are sitting at that table. After she says the names, the people who were called out can go and sit at their assigned table and wait for everyone else. You all wait patiently as Kerry calls out the numbers and names.
“On table twelve we have Bradley, y/n, Molly, Jamie, Sophia, Seb, Eve, and Kevin.” Kerry calls out your name and you stand up, making your way towards the dining hall with the other people at your table, unable to suppress your smile as Bradley walks up alongside you.
“Guess we’re tablemates now.” Bradley jokes, smiling as the eight of you enter the dining hall, locating the table displaying the number twelve.
“I suppose there are worse people to be grouped with.” You say with a smile, giggling as Bradley jokingly scoffs and rolls his eyes as you all sit down at your table, waiting for the rest of the camp to go to their tables.
When everyone is sat at their tables, Kerry announces how breakfast and dinner will function. Everyone will sit at their tables after the morning and afternoon meetings and will wait as the tables are released to get their food by row, and every table is responsible for cleaning up after themselves. With the rules now established, the tables are released row by row to go and plate up their meals. When your table is released, you make your way up to the hot food bar and plate up some dinner before returning to your table and digging into your food as the rest of your table slowly returns.
“All I’m saying is the Daggers would be so jealous of the food we have here. The food in the canteen isn’t nearly as good as this.” Bradley says after a mouthful of food, glancing over at you as you nod in agreement. Knowing your friends from back home would be jealous of the food you were being served.
“What is the Daggers?” Jamie asks, looking at Bradley curiously as he exchanges a look with you, clearly unprepared for such a question.
“I’m a naval aviator and the Daggers is the name of my squadron.” Bradley explains with a small smile, seeing how the kid's eyes light up when he reveals his job to them. He is then bombarded with questions from curious kids who want to know more. They all seem to love hearing some of Bradley’s stories, he made sure to only pick the appropriate ones, mostly about his training and teammates.
“My dad used to be an aviator, his callsign was Diesel. What’s your callsign?” Sophia asks, which once again has all eyes on Bradley as he chuckles.
“That’s staying a secret from everyone. Not even the other counsellors know my callsign. I get called it enough to earn a little break.” Bradley says, earning a wave of groans and pleads with the promise it would stay a secret between the table but Bradley sticks to his guns.
“Sorry guys, some things just stay secret.” Bradley grins as he lifts his cup of water to his lips before taking a sip as there’s yet another ripple of groans from the children. You then effortlessly switch the subject and ask the kids what kinds of activities they’ve signed up for and Bradley can’t help but admire how good you are with the children and how you hold conversation with them, listening to them as if their thoughts and opinions were the most important thing to you.
Before you knew it, dinner was over and everyone made their way into the hall that functioned as a small theatre and a gymnasium to watch some of the counsellors take part in the counsellor variety show, some singing, some doing silly dances with their friends, and more. You were happy to sit at the back of the room along with the other counsellors to watch and enjoy the show. When the show was finished Kerry took to the stage to dismiss you all to head back to your cabins for the night and you gathered up your four campers and walked back up to the cabin with them while Bradley found his four.
“Are you guys good to head back to the cabin yourselves? I have something I need to do.” Bradley says and once they nod he sends them off to the cabin, instructing them to get ready for bed before he gets back, as they leave, Bradley heads in the direction of the nurse’s lodge, grabbing his medication from the bag with his name on and taking it with a swig of water before shoving it away and making his way back to the cabin where he enters his area of the cabin and changes into a pair of flannel pyjama bottoms and one of his shirts from his Navy training days before throwing on his beloved Eagles sweatshirt over the top to counter the chill he felt in the cabin. Once he was ready and checked with the boys that they had gotten changed, he entered their area of the cabin and leaned up against the wall asking how they all were.
“We’re good. Hey, what’s going on with you and y/n? You two looked really close.” Nick asks, getting a murmur of agreement from the rest of the boys while Bradley fights back a blush he knows is coming.
“We’re friends. We’ve been friendly since we met at the start of counsellor orientation.” Bradley says, not missing how the campers exchange a knowing look.
“Sure… well, Louisa from y/n’s cabin was at my table and she noticed it too so I bet she’s going to ask her as well.” Alex says, making Bradley let out a soft sigh.
“Look, don’t drag y/n into anything. We’re just here to do our jobs and make sure you guys have a good summer. It’s hard to do that when kids are bugging you about things that aren’t true.” Bradley says, an overwhelming urge to protect you from the pestering campers leaping out without a second thought.
“You sound pretty protective there, Bradley. Sure it’s because y/n is just a friend?” Tom says making Bradley roll his eyes biting his tongue so he wouldn’t seem so defensive and add fuel to their fire. All he could hope was that your campers weren’t putting you through the same interrogation.
“y/n, we saw you and Bradley laughing and chatting during dinner. Do you have a crush on him?” Louisa asks as you’re perched on the end of Zoe’s bed, book in hand to read to them as per their request.
“What?” You ask with a laugh, feeling your cheeks growing hot at the sudden question.
“All of us saw it. You were laughing and chatting with him. You totally have a crush on him.” Julia pipes up, making you let out a breathy laugh.
“We’re just friends girls. Friends laugh and talk together, especially when you’re the only two adults at the table. Bradley’s a nice guy to talk with.” You defend yourself, picking what you believe to be the most believable excuses to say as your cheeks grow hotter.
“Okay.” Megan says, all four girls exchanging a look as you open the book to the first chapter, focusing on the page to calm down before looking back up at the girls.
“Are you ready for me to start reading now?”
About forty-five minutes later, you were quietly sneaking out of your cabin after lights out. Usually, you’d be granted from ten to midnight to have off while a few other counsellors were on patrol to make sure the cabins were covered. But since it was the first night of camp, you only got an hour instead of two but you were more than okay with that. You just wanted to stargaze for a while. You made your way to a small slope in the ground near the dining hall, sitting down on the grass and looking up at the stars, a soft smile on your face as you searched for constellations.
“Room for one more?” You hear about five minutes into stargazing and you look up to see Bradley smiling down at you.
“Of course.” You say with a smile, patting the grass next to you and waiting for Bradley to sit down, fighting the urge to raise your eyebrow at the smallest hiss of pain that escaped his lips as he sat down. Once he’s sat down, you both focus your gaze on the stars, watching them shine up in the darkened sky. You felt slightly awkward with Bradley sat alongside you after the questioning you received from your campers. They had hit the nail on the head with your crush on the tall aviator, but you had no clue how he felt about you and you treasured the newfound friendship with Bradley that you were more than willing to lock your feelings away to prevent heartbreak. After a brief silence, you clear your throat slightly and speak up.
“So you’re really not going to tell anyone your callsign? Not even the kids?” You ask with a smile as you glance over at Bradley who lets out a small breathy chuckle.
“I don’t think my ego could handle my callsign being public knowledge among the campers. It’s not exactly a callsign that strikes fear into the hearts of people.” Bradley says, explaining his reasoning and you nod in understanding.
“That’s okay. I didn’t mean to make it seem like you had to tell anyone if you didn’t want to.” You apologise, shifting your gaze back to the night sky as Bradley mirrors your actions before a comfortable silence falls over the two of you.
“Rooster.” Bradley says quietly after a brief silence.
“What was that?” You ask, turning to look at Bradley who somehow seemed perfectly illuminated under the moonlight.
“My callsign, it’s Rooster.” Bradley then says, shifting his gaze to meet yours, a shy smile appearing on his face.
“Rooster… I like it. What earned you that callsign?” You ask curiously, immediately wondering if you overstepped judging by Bradley’s expression and were prepping an apology before he spoke up.
“My dad’s callsign was Goose so I wanted to keep my callsign avian. Duck or Chicken probably weren’t the best choices so I ended up with Rooster. It’s not the most terrifying of callsigns but it’s good enough for me.” Bradley explains, glancing back up at the stars, wondering if his parents were up there together watching down on him as you listen carefully to his words.
“I think it’s lovely you wanted a callsign that could connect to your dad’s. Honestly, anyone who thinks that Rooster isn’t a scary callsign clearly has never been around a rooster because those things are scary.” You say, letting out a small laugh at the end of your sentence as Bradley cracks a smile of his own.
“So, is that why you didn’t want anyone to know? Because you’re worried it’s not considered cool enough?” You ask softly, curious as to whether that’s the only reason he won’t tell anyone.
“Well, there’s that. Then there’s the fact that more people in my life call me by my callsign instead of my actual name. I just want time to be Bradley.” He admits, gaze briefly flicking over to lock eyes with you once more before focusing back on the stars.
“You’re always going to be Bradley to all of us here. Even after we all head our own ways, everyone here is going to refer to you as Bradley.” You say with a smile, making Bradley nod slightly, his soft smile returning. Bradley was trying not to give away any of his supposedly obvious feelings towards you after the boys in his cabin grilled him about his feelings. He couldn’t keep lying to himself about his feelings anymore, but he didn’t want to risk the friendship he had with you. He didn’t want to scare you away. But you listened to him. You looked past Rooster and focused on Bradley. He realised then and there that he didn’t want anyone else but you.
“That will be nice. Just please don’t tell anyone my callsign.” Bradley asks, bringing himself back to reality and shifting to look over at you as you nod with a smile, moving to rest a comforting hand on top of Bradley’s entirely missing how his breath hitched at the contact because of how focused you were on the warmth of Bradley’s hand.
“Your secret is safe with me, Bradley.” You say, your voice no louder than a whisper, before removing your hand from atop Bradley’s, fighting back a frown at how cold you got the moment you moved your hand away while Bradley fought a frown of his own at the loss of the comforting feeling. The two of you look back up at the stars and continue to sit in comfortable silence for a few more minutes before a yawn slips past your lips without warning.
“I think that’s my cue to go and get some rest. You should do the same. We’re going to need all the rest we can get.” You say, beginning to get to your feet as Bradley mirrors your actions, standing face to face with you as you smile up at him under the moonlight.
“Goodnight Bradley.” You mutter with a shy smile, getting the sudden confidence to wrap him in a quick hug that took him aback at how gentle your hold was, able to wrap his arms around you for a brief second before you pulled away.
“Goodnight y/n.” Bradley replies, his soft smile never fading as he watches you turn around and make your way to the girl's line and disappear into the darkness before finally turning around himself and making his way back to his cabin.
When you reached your cabin, you snuck into your area of the cabin quietly, pulling your hoodie off and hanging it on a peg before taking your shoes off and climbing into bed, tugging the covers over yourself as you lie down, thinking about the first full day of camp tomorrow, and the tall aviator with a moustache on the other side of camp.

‘304. 305. 306.’ You quickly scanned the room numbers as you made your way down the hotel hallway, double checking the info Mark had texted you for what felt like the hundredth time, unable to quell the flurry of nerves in your stomach as you finally found the correct room.
The same list of worries that had pestered you for hours on the plane rolled through your mind again. What if he wasn’t here right now? What if he was busy? What if he was upset at you showing up like this?
Granted, that last one was highly unlikely, based on the way he’d been lamenting to you over video calls and text in the last two weeks. If you’d had a nickel for everytime either of you had said “I miss you”, it would’ve more than covered the cost for your flight here.
Taking a deep breath, you knocked lightly.
“Room service!” You called.
You could hear a faint “What?” from inside, followed by the sound of shuffling footsteps before the door was suddenly thrown open with a loud screech.
“BABY!” You were immediately engulfed in the tightest bear hug from him, nearly tipping off balance from the force of impact.
“MY BABY!” He cried, clinging to you.
“Hyuck shush, people’ll think you're being murdered.” You giggled, struggling to breathe.
“I don’t care! My baby! My angel!” He cried, covering your face in kisses as he pulled you into his room.
“What are you doing here? How did you get here?” He asked once he finally relaxed his hold on you.
“You kept saying how much you missed me, so I asked Mark and the guys to help me surprise you.” You explained.
“That’s what they kept snickering about earlier.” Haechan realized, recalling how Jaemin kept grinning while asking if he’d talked to you yet that day.
“You know, I’m not sure how I feel about you texting my members behind my back.” He told you with a small frown.
“You wanna get jealous or do you wanna be happy that I’m here?” You asked.
“I can do both.” He replied, earning a shove from you that he played up by falling back on the bed dramatically. “Agh, I’ve been hit! Medic!”
You laughed as you sat down next to him. “So is there anything you wanna do today?”
“I can think of a few things.” He said with a smirk, reaching for you teasingly.
You swatted his hands away, giving him a pointed look. “Besides that.”
“Alright then, that sounds fun.” You agreed.
“Fine.” He groaned, thinking for a moment. “Do you wanna go explore the city? Do some sightseeing? I can take the afternoon off.”
"Won't the others be annoyed though?"
"If they are, they'll only have themselves to blame as your co-conspirators." He said.
The two of you quickly got ready and headed out, opting to steer clear of some of the busier tourist areas and wandering around downtown, going in and out of little shops that you thought looked interesting, till you happened to pass a particular restaurant that Haechan recognized.
“Wait! I remember coming here with the 127 hyungs, let’s eat here!” He said excitedly, already pulling you along inside.
“See? They have games and ping pong tables, you wanna play a round?” He asked, already gravitating towards an empty table.
“You sure you want to get your ass beat by me again like last time?” You teased, raising a brow at him.
“I’ll have you know that I’ve been practicing, so it’s your ass that’s in danger this time, babe.” He said cockily, twirling a paddle.
“Alright, then, loser pays for lunch?” You suggested.
“Deal.”
*Ten minutes later*
“That’s match point, I win!” You squealed as you spun around in celebration.
When you turned back around, you noticed he just stood staring at you, a crooked grin adorning his face.
“You look awfully happy for someone who just lost a bet.” You commented.
“I just can’t believe that you’re actually here.” He said with a small laugh.
“It was a good surprise then?” You asked.
“The best surprise.” He said, coming round the table to wrap his arms around you. “I swear, I want to take you everywhere with me from now on.”
“Yeah?”
“Mhm.” He hummed, leaning down to kiss your nose.
“That can be discussed, but first I want fries.” You grinned.
He laughed. “Why do I feel like I’ve been hustled?”
“Beats me, you’re the one that agreed to it.” You said, turning to head for the seats.
“I’d always agree to you.” He whispered.

If you're open, how about a scenario where Pitaya Dragon Cookie help teach a weaker Younger Dragon Sibling!Reader on how to get stronger but they're a bit reluctant to say the least... Hey, a lil "tough love" never hurt anyone, right?
(platonic obviously)
Hi !!! Thx for the suggestion !!

"Come on! Please, you're my sibling and honestly the only sibling I can ask this too! Lotus won't help me and neither will Ananas, Lychee will make fun of me and I'm afraid to ask Longan.. You're the only one who would actually help me!" You tried to convince the armoured dragon cookie who was doing almost everything on their power to avoid you. "I already told you no, ssstop being ssstubborn!" They said while walking a bit faster, but you wouldn't give up that easily, no sir. You followed them almost everywhere while saying "please" of course that just made them want to walk away from you even more.
"Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please." You continued to say while following them to their annoyance, but Pitaya didn't budge, ignoring you as they walked; they thought you would give up after an hour or so but surprisingly you continued to say "please" the whole time, to the point they even started to have an eye twitch. "FINE! I'LL DO IT JUST SSSHUT THE HELL UP!" Your face lit up immediately after hearing it and you ran to hug them only to be greeted by their hand in your face stopping you from doing so. "No hugsss." Pitaya growled and pushed you away while you tried to catch your balance once more. "Fineee.. So what we will learn first dear teacher?"
"THIS IS YOUR WAY OF TEACHING ME HOW TO FLY?!" Your voice rang out from the top of a volcano in dragon's valley. "Exactly, jussst jump, ssspread your wingsss and you'll be ready to match a falcon ssspeed in no time." Well they sounded sure of themselves but you weren't so sure, you always sucked on flying, especially after you got hurt while doing so when you first tried it. You took a step back from the edge. "There's no other place a little bit less let's say.. Umm.. Dangerous?" Pitaya looked at the edge as well. "Mmmm nope." And with that they pushed you; you hoped for the worst, closing your eyes rather tightly before realizing that you were indeed flying, the hot air coming from the volcanoes in the valley hitting your face.
"AHA! I DID IT!" You talked too fast, a small wyvern then crashed into you and made you lose your balance and fell, this time you could've sworn that you were about to die because of the fall but when you opened your eyes you realized that your sibling was holding you by your tail and looking at you as if holding their laughter.
"Don't you dare laugh-" You threatened them only for Pitaya to cover their mouth with their free hand and look away, letting you down in the ground of the volcano once more. "You were right.. You really need sssome advice-" "Yeah glad you noticed-" You said and rolled your eyes before sitting down. The next few days they started to teach you in a less dangerous way, teaching you the correct ways to balance yourself in the air and how to land safely, even getting Royal Margarine to help! With Buttercream helping in case you felt insecure. You wouldn't believe that Pitaya was such a good teacher, you thought they would've let you fall and hit your face but no; they were particularly careful with you, always catching you if they felt you would fall, it was a nice contrast to your other siblings.
One day in the middle of a practice you both heard the sound of swords and a crowd in the distance, that made you both wonder what was happening. "A festival maybe?" You suggested while Pitaya shook their head. "No, the fessstival isss planned for the next week." Then they noticed the smoke, hunters. "Crap." They mumbled before taking you by the hand and flying to the trees, that way they could be hidden. "What? That's something bad?" You asked, sounding concerned about you and your sibling safety. "Pfft- no, jussst huntersss." Even if they tried to downplay the situation you could see they were a bit worried. "We should go, let's get to a safe place." They seemed to hate that idea. "What?! No, thisss isss my territory and I'll make sssure every cookie remembersss that!" And with a flap of wings they were gone, oh shit- of course you followed them from your hideout, thankfully the trees were big enough to cover yourself.
Once you finally caught up with Pitaya you saw them fighting with the hunters, you knew your sibling was strong, they were the strongest cookie you've ever seen and you admired them for that! But the hunters were so many that made you worried sick, to your surprise in a hour or so Pitaya managed to knock them all out, wow, a new record. "Okay you coward, you can come out now." They called you, making you get out from the safety of the tree. "I- I'm impressed if I'm honest." That made them laugh. "Why? I'm the ssstrongest dragon here, you ssshould've known that." Well maybe but that didn't made up for the fact you felt like you were about to throw up every time a sword hit their armour; talking about it, you saw a big crack on it, a crack that exposed their dough. "Umm sib, I think you should cover tha-" Before you could end your sentence you saw out of the corner of your eye one of the hunters get up, he had a crossbow and was aiming it right at the crack in the armor, you knew what that arrow was made of; obsidian, that could cause your sibling's death, so without another thought in your mind you tackled them and flew, faster than a hawk if I may say so, you flew until you reached the sky and the volcano where it had all started. When you finally put your sibling down they looked a bit dumbfounded, heck even their messy hair was messier. "What jussst happened?" Pitaya asked, watching their surroundings, it was strange for them, in a moment they were in the middle of a forest and in the other back to the volcano. "I- I- crossbow.." When that instinct of flight or fight died down you ran and hugged them tightly, surprisingly they didn't push you away this time, they even start giving you headpats to calm you. "Don't be ridiculousss, I'm fine, a sssingle arrow wouldn't kill me." They sounded annoyed by your worries but deep inside they felt happy, at least one of their siblings cared for them. "Hey let me repay thisss practice, what about a drink?" Pitaya gave you a smile, trying to make you forget about the whole deal. "You're paying for it?" You asked, raising an eyebrow. "Nope, but Hollyberry always paysss for me!" And with that they took you to Dragon's City.

Alone
Day 5 of the Ranger Gathering - Alone
Pauline handed a steaming hot cup of coffee to the young man in front of her. Will had come over to visit Halt and Pauline, seeing as he had nothing else to do that day. Halt was out dealing with some robbers that were reported to be camping out somewhere close to Wensley village, but Pauline was still at the apartment, and Will took this alone time with her as an opportunity to bond.
Will and Pauline were very close, but he wasn't as close to her as he was with Halt or as Alyss was with her, so he wanted to strengthen their bond. Pauline had mutual feelings.
“So,” Pauline said, taking a seat opposite Will, “how have you been doing.”
Will took a sip of his coffee before replying. Good stuff. “Fine. Not much has been happening around the fief lately other than those robbers, but Halt’s taking care of them.”
“Yes,” Pauline said, “Halt mentioned that there hasn't been much activity for the past few months for whatever reason. But I suppose that just means that you two don't have as much work to do.”
“True,” Will agreed, “but it is nice to get out and do something instead of being cooped up inside with tons of paperwork and reports to go through.”
“Yes,” Pauline repeated, “Halt tends to complain about paperwork a lot. But you can still get out without having to track down criminals.”
“I know, but it's not as fun,” Will grinned, and Pauline smiled back.
They sat in silence for a short while, sipping their coffee and enjoying each other's company. Then Pauline spoke up.
“So,” she started casually, “what's going on between you and Alyss?”
Will looked up from his coffee mug, a little taken aback by the sudden question.
“What do you mean?”
Pauline shrugged innocently. “Just wondering, that's all.”
Will looked suspiciously at her before replying. “We see each other around, we talk and when we both have the time we try to meet up for dinner or something. She's a good friend.”
“Yes, of course,” Pauline replied, taking a careful sip of her drink, “friends.”
Will stared at her with suspicion again. “You know,” he said, “when I used to ask Halt about you and him, he would tell me to shut up before threatening to send me up a tree. And then one time he did.”
“Well then it's a good thing you're not Halt and we aren't talking about him and me.” Will didn't even bother to point out that that wasn't grammatically correct. Pauline knew what she was doing.
“Why do you want to know about Alyss and I anyway?”
Pauline shrugged innocently again, “Am I not allowed to be curious and ask questions?”
“You are,” Will replied, “but it doesn't mean you're going to get any answers.”
Pauline regarded him. “That sounds like something Halt would say.”
Will grinned. “That's because it is. He would say that exact sentence when I asked if I was allowed to be curious about something.”
Pauline laughed, “Sounds like you've picked up some habits from living with him for so long. But I'm still curious as to what's really going on with you and Alyss.” When Will didn't respond she added, “I promise I won't tell anyone.”
Will sighed. “What I told you is true. It is mainly just meeting up when we can.”
Pauline pressed on, “But?”
“But the problem is that's all it is.”
“You like her don't you? Really like her.” Pauline asked and Will nodded. “Then tell her.”
“I can't.”
“And why can't you?”
“Because I don't know if she feels the same.” Will said quietly.
“Will,” Pauline said, “if you live your life afraid of telling someone something, just because you're afraid of how they're going to feel, then one day you're going to find yourself regretting that you didn't say anything sooner, and you won't be able to tell them anymore. Trust me, it's easier to know how someone feels about something, than to live with the regret that you never bothered to find out.”
“I know,” Will replied, in a way that told Pauline that he didn't know and had never considered it. “But what if telling her ruins our friendship?”
“Trust me, it won't,” Pauline said firmly. “You two are too close for it to be completely ruined from this. The worst that would happen is your relationship is a bit rocky for a while, but it would get back to normal pretty fast.”
“What about you?” Will asked, “Were you nervous to tell Halt that you liked him?”
Pauline pretended to consider the question for a second. “Well that's pretty hard to say considering that he said it first. After he told me, it was pretty easy to say I liked him back.”
Will looked a little shocked. “He said it first?”
“I know,” Pauline replied grinning, “big surprise there. It's very hard to get that man to admit something, especially that he actually likes someone for once.” Pauline turned serious again. “Trust me Will. Tell her. I know it might be a bit scary at first, and you might have some thoughts of ‘oh my god what did I just just do?’ but in the end you'll feel better knowing that you've told her. And she hadn't told me anything, but I think it's pretty obvious that she likes you back.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
At that moment Will and Pauline turned their attention to the door as it opened and Halt walked into the apartment, muddy and with a bit of blood on his clothes. He looked at Will.
“What are you doing here?”
“Just talking to Pauline,” Will replied, then he gestured towards the blood on Halt. “Are you okay?”
“It's not mine,” Halt replied gruffly, taking off his cloak and walking into the room he shared with his wife. It was obvious to both Will and Pauline that he wasn't in the mood to talk.
Will glanced outside through the window that was in the apartment. He saw the sun begging to dip behind the trees.
“I should get going,” he said, “thanks for talking with me, Pauline.”
“Anytime Will,” Pauline replied, smiling fondly at her surrogate. “Tell her.”
Will smiled back. “I will. Eventually.”
“That's all I ask for.”
Will waves goodbye and left the apartment. Pauline picked up the two now empty cups of coffee and placed them by the sink, planning to wash them later, and went to go help her husband clean the blood off of his clothes. God help them if he was to do it by himself.
The premise of this is that Will and Pauline have alone time just in case you missed it. That is probably the most unserious moodboard I've done because of the yapping things tbh. I didn't know what to put, and I wrote this last night so I didn't even remember what it was about and I'm too lazy to re read even though I should probably proof read it. Just don't be surprised if you see many many errors. Hope you enjoyed it, I''m gonna go stress at getting the others done now :)

HIIII how are you?? I hope you are doing well and getting enough sleep and food to eat!!
I was wondering if you can do a Logan x black fem! reader? I just love my blonde nerdy boy, he needs some lovin' frfr
You could do anything you want with it, I don't personally mind at all, yk cuz ue the writer and all lmao, plus I don't like pressuring ppl either.
THANKKKK YOU AND HAVE A BLESSED DAY 🫶🤍
Yess logan needs more attention!
Warning's: racist (yuck)
✨as always i don't know much English so if something is wrong correct me✨
You were alone because your getting teased about being black
His alone because his getting teased about being nerdy
So when you two were group its kind of awkward you were both scared to talk to each other but then he find out your in the astrology club too you two suddenly became close
Just two outcast being together, when you visited his house you met his grandparents and thought they hate you but they were kind and caring
While walking with him after school Barron always pick up on you and logan yet he was the one who always gets hurt in the end
You want to confront them but Logan just shrugged it off and told you that there's nothing to worry about
Everytime you drop him in his house his grandparents always ask you why did he have a bruise again and you always find a way to lie about it and they somehow believe you?
But even all this things you two were never not attached to the hip even the teachers wants you two to be grouped because no one ever dared to talk to you or him so you were always a pair
Then all the sudden poof you both have now a new five friends
---------------------------------------------------
After everything that happened logan starting to change a bit you was a bit more serious he doesn't talk to much like before
"hey (name) fun fact if you sneez so hard you might break a rib cage?"
*new trauma unlock*
On more and more blah blah stuff that you like about him starting to fade away
You miss everything about him even though you dont though you don't understand most of them you still love him blabbering every small detail about those things
That's where you feel those feelings like you swallowed a whole pack of butterflys in you're stomach yet you kept overthinking what if this was all a bet and he didn't like talking to you
What if he won't like you back because you're black (I'm no racist don't attack me)
This things keep swerling in your mind
You also noticed in the realm his more tired i mean we're all tired but his different he was starting to avoid you like if you said hi he will smile at you then walk away
Even in the real world you wanted to walk with him but he denied you're offer and said he can walk himself
You wanted to confront him but you don't wanna sound clingy so you just let it go
But he really wasn't ignoring you he was only embarrassed of his feelings too but doesn't know how to say it
It was so awkward between you two that made your friends question what happened to the both of you
You two were attached to the hip then suddenly you and him suddenly became distance
They wanna fix what has been done because you two are cute together they even think that you and logan are a better couple but doesn't say it because you said so
But whenever they let you two sit in a room its getting more awkward and awkward causing it to just let you two out
Then they tie you up together causing you having tantrum because of how tight the rope is
They tried everything they can but ben said or wrote "its better if the two of them fix this than us fixing it" Ashlyn nodded
---------------------------------------------------
"aw where's you're little boyfriend now"
The woman speak she was one of those bastard that goes with Barron now what do they want..
"he's not my boyfriend you asshole"
You wanna punch her so bad but couldn't escape one slice of your throat and your dead
"what did you say to me?"
Then the door open revealing Barron and his minions, ngl they do look like a minion
"what do you want now" you frown at him and glaring
"remember that one time you literally beat the shit out of me in the arcade huh?!" The woman let go of you, and you stumbled to barron
"listen here N(word, I will not say it) my friend left me because of that boyfriend of yours"
"okay one since when did a friend do and follow you're orders because friend always helps each other not follow one because this world doesn't need a follow the leader for you and second i just told her Logan isn't mine" whenever you denied he's not your boyfriend you feel a heavy chest you wanna take back what you said
"you stupid bitch, you're gonna regret this" he smirked at you
You tried to fight but you were outnumbered you took down most of them but still couldn't
Now you were laying down near the dumpster crying that Logan was there to hug you but you just curled up taking the pain where they beat you up you cried silently
Then a hand touches you
"w..what the hell do you want now-" your words cut when you met a worried teary eyes there is the one you're looking for that face that you love, that you wouldn't get bored to stare at it
"who- what? Uh why are you just sitting here..and you're hair..." Yes you're hair was cut after you smack that womans face atleast she was a broken nose now
You stayed silent then cried Logan tried to calm you down by hugging to and you're head at his shoulder this is what you wanted. Even at this serious situation Logan couldn't help it his chest was beating so fast
"did you find?!...her" Taylor screamed then stop when thay saw you and logan
" i know you two need a moment but can i ask what happened to (name) hair?" Aiden said not breaking a smile
You still stayed silent "are you okay? Do you wanna tell us or maybe later or not" he cupped your cheeks making you dizzy you were so inlove with this nerd
"Barron.." once they heard his name they changed reaction mostly Logan "what did he do?" You can see aiden trying to calm down and angry bird i mean an angry Ben
You shake your head not wanting to say nothing more
Then logan came looking for him you tried to stop him but he got out of your grip you told your friends to stop him but they just stayed silent and took you to you're house. Tyler was piggy backing you because you felt numb and weak at the moment once you got there you asked them if Logan texted them
They shook their heads and waited Ashlyn texted Logan that you are in you're house
Not a minute later the door came busting open he was dirty but not that dirty
He looked angry and kind scary aura around him
When you walk up to Logan everybody knew it was time to leave you two alone
"don't worry that woman regret cutting your hair" he said while he hugged you and you can't help but smile even that little things he did can make your heart beat
Then now you were the one who was cupping his cheeks " thank you Logan" your face was so close to him causing you two to back away Logan scratch his nape and your scratching your arm
"hey.."
"um.."
You two said it at the same time
"you go first" you told him
"look i know we've been friends for not that long but long enough so I'm okay if you leave this friendship once i told you this"
You're eyes were widen your feelings starting to sink you don't wanna end this friendship nor do not wanna lose this feelings for him
You were caught when your lips and him were connected suddenly then pulled away only you taking the collar of his shirt kissing him again you pulled away when the door was open" hey you two okay there?... Sorry" aidne peek then close the door you look at logan and you both giggle
"are you sure you want me? I mean I'm not that you know those skin-"
"I don't care about your skin or anything else I just know that i love you and that won't change anything" you started to tear up again and hugged him
"Once the sun asked moon for a hug they call it an eclipse "
You giggled at Logan poetry again and told him it was cheezy
"it was not?! Here is one i remember and i promise it's not cheezy"
You giggled and told him to go one he cleared his throat
"so, i love you because the entire galaxy conspired to help me find you" -paulo coelho
"alright alright that's enough" you two were giggling little do you know they were listening to the both of you smiling
"told you, you can't fix between a two bird if you invade them" ben wrote
Okay maybe he is a good at poetry too
I LOVE LOGAN SO MUCHHH

hey there! first time asking and i am.. pretty nervous :') not sure how nightmare's body works for your au, but how would the boys™ react if nightmare was somehow weakened enough to have his passive body revealed under all the corruption and not die? (or yes die, if that's what you're about lol) thanks!
Awww don't be nervous! I don't bite.
Nightmare's body is largely permanently colored by the corruption, but it can weaken, and he's still a (mostly) complete, white-boned skeleton under it.
Without active corruption, Nightmare is around 5'6" (or your height) and has some damage around his right eye socket. The light still forms, but his vision isn't so great. (Still a far cry better than 'normal,' where he can't see at all). His eyelight in that socket is purple, and the one in his left is cyan, no matter what form he's in. Sometimes it'll be half-and-half, if he's especially weak or in his feelings, but he's usually got the full heterochromia thing going on.
Fortunately, it just kind of retreats into the inner void of his body/skull if it's too weak to fully encase him, so it's all or nothing with the curse/corruption. It won't kill him, but he is much more vulnerable when he's passive.
The guys would be surprised, to say the least, but they'd also make the (correct) assumption that he's not as sturdy as he usually is and should be guarded. Nightmare definitely tried to hide this, but with a bunch of intuitive, smart underlings, it's hard to maintain the illusion that 'everything's fine, I'm just going to stay in bed for a while.'
Still, no one's going to lose respect for him, or make fun of him (in any seriousness-- we all know Killer is Required By Law to give him some guff) in any real capacity. He'd get a little babied, actually, until he told them all to knock it off, and then it's only Axe who babies him. (He can't get Axe to stop.)
Everyone is sworn to secrecy, because he especially does not need Dream finding out about this. He'd never stop crying, and Nightmare doesn't want to deal with that, thank you very much.
This does happen every great so often, especially after things get reconciled with his brother. Without active malice and hatred to feed on, the corruption kind of ebbs away and 'rests' to regain strength, and then it comes back strong as ever. He's actually quite strong when it comes back because it's refreshed, and he usually feels his oats a bit when it comes back.
It's the only aspect of the curse/corruption that he can't really control. Since he doesn't have a ton of enemies anymore, or at least ones who would be able to take advantage of such a situation, it's just a mild inconvenience rather than a cause for alarm.
More little facts about this:
He sounds different while passive. If he tries really hard, he can get into his normal, deeper register, but it takes a bit. He sounds a lot younger (still an adult, but younger and higher) and gets a little bit sensitive about it, actually.
He's also sensitive about his height. He loses 8 inches or better, and he doesn't like it. Yes, he wears platforms to make himself at least taller than the others (save Axe) if he's up and about, and not sulking in his room.
He views it as an inconvenience, but he hates feeling vulnerable. He's worn the corruption so long, to not have it makes him feel naked, and it's not something he handles terribly well.
He's also more sensitive to: temperature, touch, elements, and Intent. He gets cold easily, so he's usually close to some heat source. This sometimes includes the boys, and they have cuddle-puddled to make him feel safer.
He will break out his crown and wear it. It's a newer one-- his old crown won't fit because it didn't grow with him. he wears a silver crown with a more elegant crescent moon fixture (not entirely unlike this, but solid and without decoration) with a three-quarter moon taking up the void of the crescent, leaving a small gap between the two. He also wears much less gold and much more silver, although he does wear gold with purple, since it's very regal looking.
Hand-in-hand with the above, he breaks out good fancy clothing, too, since he's not in danger of staining it, and it feels nice on not-corrupted bones. Silk, satin, velvet... very fine clothing.
He also wears a weighted cape. While he doesn't always have his tentacles out, he will over-correct for their weight when they aren't present, and he's fallen over before when turning because of it. (After Killer was done laughing, he helped devise the cape.) It's a lovely little capelet that hangs over one shoulder, but drapes otherwise evenly across the back to the small of his back.
He's usually passive for 1-2 weeks, and then it won't happen again for a couple years, if he's lucky, or 10-12 months if he's not. This only started happening once Dream broke out of the statue, so while it's a fairly new development, it's one that he's learned to deal with and has procedures for.
I mentioned it before with Dream in R&R, but his bones have kind of a pearlescent sheen to them. Dream's is warmer (like a cream pearl), but Nightmare's is cooler (like a silver pearl). They're both Demi-gods, after all.
Interestingly enough, I've been working with this idea recently.

THE THING ABOUT DANGANRONPA THAT YOU SAID SOUNDS FUN AND COOL!!! a friend of mine is really into the whole series but I've never seen or played anything, if I were to jump into the web series, is there any previous knowledge I need? :O
BOYS (gn) WE GOT ANOTHER ONE!
Omg I'm so excited that I managed to get you interested in this Web series, it's really good but I didn't expect you would actually show interest!
The web series can be found on YouTube under the name Danganronpa Despair Time, there are playlists for the prologue, chapter 1 and the first part of chapter 2. The series went on hiatus part way through chapter 2 due to the creator's health (who does all of the writing and art by themself btw) but the remainder of chapter 2 is nearly finished so can be expected to come out soon (which means you got in at a perfect time lol). There's also bonus episodes, free time events and character music videos which aren't necessary for understanding the main story but can provide interesting information that I would personable leave until after watching the main series should you wish to do so. There's also quite a hit of info on their Tumblr page @danganronpadespairtime which I would check out that also has the progress bar.
In terms of Canon game knowledge, I'm not sure if there's anything you need to know. It is based off the timeline of the main games but everything that you need to know for the series is explained so I don't think you necessarily need to know what happens, someone else who's seen the series can correct me if I'm wrong (it does spoil the canon games though, particularly the first one, so bear that in mind). While it is set in the same timeline, the story is completely original, at least so far, so I think you're good, though if you're not planning to get into the canon games or if you don't care about spoilers for them you could ask your friend if there's anything you dont get. It would probably be helpful to know the structure of these games but I can just explain that right now: 16 Ultimate students (high schoolers chosen by a special school that are the best among high schoolers in the country in a particular field) are trapped in a closed location by a robotic bear (which can be replaced by other animals in fan projects) and the only way to escape is to kill another student without getting caught. Once a body is discovered the remaining students have to investigate for a while before they are made to participate in the class trial where they discuss and eventually vote for who they think did it. If the majority vote is correct only the killer is executed but if it is wrong everyone except the killer is executed and the killer gets to leave.
A bit more propaganda: I talked about my blorbo in length but really all of the characters are great. I can think of a few you would like but I won't say who so your experience can be as unbiased as possible (not sure if that's the right word haha). Not to spoil anything but the series does treat its characters in a similar way to how Milgram does, and, no, I will not elaborate. There is actually a significant crossover between Milgram fans and DRDT fans, though usually the pipeline is the other way around, so you already have other mutual to talk about it with, yay.
#thanks for the ask!#There's a lot more I could have gone into but I think this is enough for a beginner and you might get overwhelmed if I say too much#If you do get into drdt I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!#This is the second time I managed to get someone into something I'm into#The first is when I got my irl friend into Milgram by talking about it at school. We talk about it whenever it gets new updates now#It's always a good feeling:)#drdt#danganronpa despair time#asks
