sitting together in the common room one late night, air weighed down by the pressure of the upcoming O.W.L.s - silent, still; thinking. him, gaze fixed straight ahead, enraptured by the glowing fire in front of him, parchment and quill long abandoned and spilling in waves onto the cold floor below. [his hand aches, as does his head. unintelligible words bounce around, vaguely connecting to others before disappearing. he can’t remember anything he’s read in the past 2 hours.] you, tucked away in a corner, scribbled work illuminated only by a curtain of reflected moonlight creeping through the alcove windows and the lone candle melting above. drip, drip. the flame almost tickles the end of the wick – forewarning of the late hour. but neither of you make any sudden movement that suggests the intention of leaving anytime soon.

the room had once been full, bustling with frazzled teenagers and their shared confusion. shouts of questions juxtaposing aggressive hushes for silence. his friends had once been there too, now long retired to the comforting confines of their bedsheets. he cannot help but be jealous. [but a small part of him is guiltily glad to be away from them. don’t get him wrong, he loves his friends and fellow housemates, but sometimes he just needs space.]

seconds pass. minutes pass. wax drips to the floor one final time, announcing light’s departure. his eyelids struggle to remain open - fighting a losing battle - but his hands are still. his gaze is finally torn from the hypnotic fire, lethargically flicking around in a half-hearted attempt at waking himself of the enticing trance that orange light brings. they eventually reach you. you, now staring back at him.

the two of you had never been particularly close. it was no personal slight against one another, of course. you were friends of friends - skirting the edges of one another’s social groups, but never each other. there was simply no need to. no magical spark, no unexplainable invisible might bringing you together, no forced proximity in classes – he didn’t think he’d ever even accidently locked eyes with you before this.

silence. a heavy sigh escaped a pair of lips [he couldn’t tell if it had been yours or his, mind too fuzzy from hours of memorising equations, wand movements, and literary techniques.]

no words passed through that night air, but the message was still clear.

you looked away. so did he. movement ensued once more; quills flicking lethargically, eyes hesitantly blinking, the crackle of the fire filling the air.

time had continued to run its course.

the night (or morning, as the faint light of dawn had replaced the moonlight) had ended with you suddenly rising from your chair, startling the boy from the half-asleep daze he hadn’t even realised he had slipped in to. upon realising that you were leaving, he too clumsily collected his things and stood. by the time he was done (which, admittedly, took an embarrassingly long amount of time. but who could blame him? he was attempting to function off less than an hour’s worth of half-conscious sleep) you were long gone. the sound of the common room door thumping gently behind you, paired with your fading tip-toed footsteps were all that reached him.

in the hours, days, months after that moment of eye contact, that moment of mutual understanding, nothing eventful followed. there were no sudden deep discussions, there were no shared inside jokes – but there was that passing moment. there was that presence. there was that tranquillity. there was that shared struggle of staying awake. there was the recognition of unspoken words; “i’m glad was not alone. i’m glad it was you. no expectations, no forced discussion, no preconceived notions. just two people, sitting, experiencing; living. normal, together. thank you.”

no words ever of acknowledgment of that moment ever cross either of your lips – no one admits the comfort of that silent scene. [but there are now locked gazes. there are now small smiles shared. there is now proximity. the social circles you two skirted are now closer, closing in on one another.]

benthomaar is a new transfer student but he got immediately picked up by chen and his popular gang, which lloyd slightly resents at first for because he’s literally the new kid but landed himself in the highest of the food chain already, like how the hell, and it turns out benthomaar does end up becoming the new popular kid as well because, IT TURNS OUT… he’s CRAZY over swimming, it’s his literal everythang, he’s a total athlete over it too and that’s crazy. but benthomaar’s really polite and kind about it nonetheless, which gets him crushes, and people starts calling him the prince of the swimming team….

meanwhile, this version of lloyd was never exposed to his identity as lord garmadon’s son, in fact, he doesn’t even know he’s one at all. he’s grown up raised being told he looks like his mother, raised by her as well, but that doesn’t stop him from being chen’s target unfortunately. why? because chen’s a massive asshole and lloyd’s the awkward guy forced to sit one row ahead of him in class, they’re lifelong enemies, and lloyd HATES him. waittt, lord garmadon still exists… wtf… WELLLL, and is lloyd still the green ninja? yes, actually, and he’s still trained by wu, but has no idea of their relations.

lloyd’s a part time superhero and overall 24/7 a pathetic girlfailure that latches onto his friendgroup that, unlike him, doesn’t quite gaf about chen’s business but wishes they could beat him up. and benthomaar’s the shining sun of glory who’s actually a loser. and it turns out, benthomaar has actually been trying to befriend lloyd because he doesn’t like the fact that chen’s such a dick to him, and thinks that if they’re friends, chen will stop bothering him. but lloyd thinks he has a second motive (overthinking champion), but benthomaar actually doesn’t, and he kind of hates chen a lot for it too — and they bond over gossiping about how bad chen actually is, and they end up lowkey crushing on each other and don’t talk about it for the whole school semester because they’re teenagers who do NOT sort things out #YUPPPPPP #SITUATIONSHIPLIFE

↬ i think he’d pick up photography as a hobby, maybe he’ll dabble into playing around with the settings on adobe lightroom or maybe secretly attend saturday workshops, on his way home from his bakery run, where he gets to learn all the fundamentals on photography composition. he eventually learns about instagram and he downloads the app on a whim when he gets bored at work. he appreciates the user friendly interface and gets the hang of it pretty quickly. he usually posts thrice a month, more if his schedule allows.

↬ now the thing with kento is he doesn’t usually put captions on his photos other than single emojis like: “🐱” or “🥐”. an exception to this is when he posts your birthday photos. he lovingly spares a few words for you that are minimal, at best, only containing a short birthday greeting. but hey, it’s written in pretty font, sooo~~

kento watches you from the couch situated near your home’s screen door leading to the pocket garden the two of you set up when you first moved in together. a small smile plays at his lips when you momentarily jump in surprise as your cat rubs herself against your legs finally ending your little game of hide and seek. “there you are,” you crouch down to scratch her ears. the loving scene of domesticity unfolds before him like a record tape from the nineties, complete with subdued hues of yellow and rose. “sweetheart, could you look here for a bit?” he calls as he fumbles with his phone. you look up confused and that’s when he decides to snap the picture. “hey! i wasn’t ready,” you protest. but he’s already posting the picture on his instagram with the caption: “💕”.

↬ yuta has a fascination with sunsets. there’s just something so alluring and somewhat sorrowful about the last flicker of sunlight waging a war against her opponent, the night sky and her stars, to keep its dominion over the sky. yuta has always struggled with the notion of impermanence — he finds change to be downright terrifying which is why he took it upon himself to confront this fear by taking pictures of the setting sun, a form of change that is ironically as unchanging as his love for a certain someone, hehe.

↬ he normally uses his instagram as a digital journal of sorts. he’s always away owing to the many missions he’s now been assigned as a sorcerer second only to gojo satoru. he writes down entries, as much as possible, on a weekly basis to properly process the many emotions he’s felt that day.

↬ naturally, you’re always the first to view the pictures ergo press the heart button which always makes him turn a bright shade of pink despite the many years you’ve been together. AND, even though you’ve already technically seen the pictures, yuta will ALWAYS show it to you again when he gets home from work and regale you with all the amazing details about his recent trip.

yuta practically melted into your arms when he came in through the front door. “missed you,” he murmurs. you crane your head back to get a good look at him and you heave a sigh of blissful relief when you neither find a single scratch nor bruise on him. “are you alright, my love?” he asks, head tilted to the right, his eyes wide with curiosity at your silence. “yeah, fine,” you shake your head, playfully pinching his unscathed cheek earning a whistle-like chortle from the young sorcerer. “you know,” he says thoughtfully when his laughter dies down. “i never realized how beautiful the hida mountains are,” he recounts the wondrous things he’d seen and taken photos of from the sleepy lake town they took refuge in, to the mighty mountain river he and gojo had crossed on their way to the summit, to the towering willow trees with branches so ancient they could practically block out the sun, and finally to the mysterious abandoned forest shrine that only showed itself to an honored few, emerging from the haze like a ghostly apparition. he continues to ramble on for a substantial amount of time, scrolling through his phone gallery, not knowing that you’d dozed off. “2:48 AM,” the clock read. yuta sighs at your sleeping form, hearts practically swarming in his eyes. he lifts the blankets to cover your forms. “guess we’ll just have to go together someday,” he says, pecking your cheek before shifting ever so carefully to turn off the nightlight.

↬ posts low contrast pictures with low brightness because he’s cool that way. if not for the fact that he mostly shares memes, his feed actually looks pretty good, it’s subtle but appealing in many ways and it looks glorious on dark mode, it kinda reminds you of those pinterest or twitter moodboards. he knows his way around setting a moody vibe on his feed, and to think almost all of his pictures were shot on his old iphone. satoru gojo, the strongest sorcerer of his generation, much to the surprise of many, is actually quite talented. who would’ve thought?

↬ but please PLEASE someone get instagram away from this man, the world is not ready for his genius. now unlike the others, satoru uses instagram purely for fun. and yes, he posts dumb shit like they’re scripture. he got in trouble with the community once when he posted a picture of dixie (depicted above) from the teletubbies with the caption: “bake those cookies dixie”. you had to help him submit an incident report to the community moderators and a promissory note stating that he’ll never post such lewd things again. and he didn’t (thank god). for a full week, that is. he relapsed almost immediately.

↬ on the bright side, though, his followers always find it cute whenever he posts pictures of the two of you on your dates, even the ever-stoic nanami couldn’t resist the urge to smile whenever he comes across a picture of his senior having the time of his life with you. god knows how much gojo satoru deserves to love and be loved in return, even if he once thought it to be the most repulsive of curses.

gojo watches you from the other end of the table, a tipsy simper on his features when he notices your eyelids drooping, your head bobbing in your drunken stupor, your lips slightly open as your breathing evens out. “you drunk, baby?” he slurs as he polishes off the last of the yakiniku set you ordered, the oily, sweet and salty grilled meat seemingly simmering down the effect of the alcohol. you were the only ones left in the izakaya, at this point, the owner has half a mind to throw the both of you out so they could close for the night. “nooooo,” you sniffle before a tiny hiccup rips through your throat. cute, satoru stares at you with lovestruck eyes. “stop that,” you look at him through your blurred vision. “stop what?” satoru asks, his head resting on the hardwood table as his hand searches his jeans for his phone. he had to capture this moment before he blacks out. “looking at me like i’m the most beautiful girl in the room,” you scowl disapprovingly. he manages to find his iphone just before he nods off to sleep, snapping a picture of the both of you. empty plates and half-finished shot glasses are strewn about your table and the night’s festivities are perfectly captured in the frame. the two of you looked absolutely hammered — your normally tidy hair was disheveled, and his face looked like a cross between a sore thumb and a ripe tomato — but still, you looked happy. and to satoru, that’s all that really matters. “but you are, baby,” he pats you on the head before finally passing out. “you are.”

therapy stuff

anyway, now that I'm back on track with therapy.. my therapist tried to do a catch up on what's been going on with me in the time she was absent, which was uhh a lot, she asked how I was feeling overall. and I talked quite at length about everything going on, my sister this, my partner that, my family this n that, and by the end of it, she was like well seth, I asked how you were feeling, but you didn't really tell me much about that. and even when I asked if how these things things affecting people were making you feel, like if your sister experiencing xyz was making YOU feel concerned for how it impacts your situation, it was still about how you're concerned for HER situation. that's not your feelings. And I'm like... confused. I sort of get what she's saying, but I don't quite understand how they aren't my feelings. She specializes in BPD and this is like, the big difference here from everything else I've ever experienced with this stuff, ok, and is like see like, whenever we talk this is a pattern you have of enmeshment, and that's very common with BPD, to not know how to talk about your own feelings versus others, but like.. do you even know the difference? and I just felt like all the gears in my brain stop moving and I paused like. I.. don't know....... I guess I don't. like. seriously. I legitimately have no idea how else to answer the question when she asks how I'm doing. but when she points out that it's about everyone else it I SEE that it makes sense that it totally is. so I'm just like of like. lisasimpson.png about it .

i feel like I've heard this before in a way, EXCEPT in a very very negative cruel way coming from people who want to paint me like the worst person ever like, telling me I'm selfish because I like take everyone else's feelings and make it all about myself on purpose etc etc (tumblr dot com loveeeeeeeees to do this btw !!! :^)))) pretend that like hyperempathy/enmeshment/etc are not symptoms of any sort of disorders whatsoever and are just like Dark Empath(tm) TikTok girly pop pysch shit and you are the scum of the earth if you struggle with that like ok. guess i'll die) so all I do is like beat myself up over it while being like Shrug emoji I'm the worst what can ya do, but then like my therapist yesterday is like. you are LACKING selfishness in your emotions, you are incapable of talking about your own feelings for 60 seconds without talking in detail about someone else and your concern for them, ig that's just the difference when you work with someone who actually treats ppl with bpd like actual human beings and not demons cause hdsjgkdfhdh <:l

and this is not the first session where i was essentially being told I Need to be more selfish in some kind of way like I need to be more vocal about needs, I need to take up space, etc, like it's still really hard to accept any of that and there's like small steps I've taken i guess but . overall I still feel like the Worst person ever and I've been conditioned time and time again to believe I am the epitome of selfishness no matter WHAT I do. i'm literally embarrassed writing this post right now like I can't believe I'm out here trying to justify feeling like I'm a decent person when I must be just tricking my therapist into thinking I'm a better person than I actually am. but I'm going to post it anyway because I am a pathetic little worm of a person.................................................rips my skin off , wails and weeps. do u see what I'm dealing with here

Idk if i shared this but MayNot was the first name i came up with the ship. But someone from the IMserver came u with WitchBrew so i went with it (they were so brilliant with the name, kudos to them, i love it)

Mayhem occasionally uses Not-Cup's head for brewing potions, Not-Cup is either annoyed cuz it smells so good and she uses his head as a cauldron or likes it because Mayhem trusts him with her shit.

Actually the 'potions' shes brewing on his head are actually... just random drinks she wants to try from our world (i headcanon she has some sort of 4th wall breaking ability) Not-Cup wonders what the cuss is she making XD and is curious but Mayhem slaps his hand "Hey hey! No touching! Tsk tsk!"

(actually idek if mayhem does brew potions like a normal witch 💀)

If there's a fight going on, Mayhem would throw runes (her magic aura is lime green) while Not-Cup shoots pink bullets. They fight opponents synchronously that they throw attacks one after the another, not leaving a chance for their opponent to breathe

Not-cup wonders why is she winking at the emptiness but laughs at it annyways (mayhem was communicating with the audience)

They like to throw hands at each other and fight but theyre not serious about killing each other

"Hmm why do you need this straw?" *Grabs Not-Cup's straw and examines it with an intrigued and questioning expression*

"Hey hey hey hey! No grabbing!" *Tries to grab back his straw from mayhem* "I need that!"

They had this convo multiple times

Mayhem is the peculiar one while Not-Cup just went with her flow~ and they like to annoy each other. Not-cup initiates pranks but it backfires cuz Mayhem got smth better

i looooveeee everything abt him tbh, but i think probably the thing that makes me the most fond of him is that he reminds me a lot of myself in the way he processes things and makes decisions, sorting them into good or bad

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

hmmm idk if it’s my top fav thing abt him but i love his technique and the way he uses it. especially the shadow inventory and when he stores himself in it? so cool. ig its more when he sets his mind to it, he’s crazy powerful. underrated fr.

3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?

i cant say im a fan of the position he’s in but at the same time i appreciate the narrative choice. wouldn’t ask for things to change, i just wish he was suffering less.

recently i have been writing abt bassist megumi, so im thinking he air guitars while he’s listening to music when hes alone in his room. or air drums maybe. won’t sing along out loud bc the walls are thin, but if he did, he’d have a nice voice.

basic but color coordinated, baggy, no patterns, mostly darker colors (black, green, & blue - royal blue not navy). sweaters & jackets most of the time w jeans or just regular pants. he’s cold easily so wears this in the summer too. getting rid of his canon shoes and giving him vans or doc martens oxfords.
