i desperately wish gw2 had more food-centric lore. i think about asura food more than is probably particularly reasonable. they're sort of implied to like molecular gastronomy in the lvl500 chef quests which is fitting and makes sense, but surely not every asura is eating bespoke Pea Spheres day in and day out right? i think my favorite angle on them is a sort of 50s-80s american-esque food style where there's a huge emphasis on things being Convenient and Scientific, so you'd get a lot of absolute slop tv dinners and canned items that have labels boasting how they were nutritionally fortified and contained your day's complete vitamin intakes and so on. a lot of jellied things. i do also fully believe they would have + eat soylent.

a few days ago spanish newspaper el país published an article titled '25 songs that should be erased from rock or pop history' where they asked a bunch of music journalists to each pick a popular song that they dont like. and okay, this type of articles are obviously made to create controversy and i shouldnt fall for the provocation. BUT I DID. because yeah some of them were overplayed or overrated songs, i wouldnt mind not listening to lennon's imagine ever again, and everyone's entitled to their opinion. BUT. but. one of those so called journalists chose Bohemian Rhapsody.

My biggest thorn in my side about my art is the fact that I’ve sadly seen my Fury Family Verse family tree on Pinterest a few times and seeing all of the comments of people thinking that it’s incest instead of actually looking how the tree is set up and taking time to look it over before commenting feels so...icky.

Like, and there’s not much I can do about that (which is why I made the new one in hopes that it’s more clear to see) but I hate that people keep confusing the light fury mates as the night lights SISTERS. I dunno. It really doesn’t makes sense to me as how people are jumping to that conclusion, but it really does bug me. /vent.

I saw a post a while ago saying that Eddie likely wasn’t the lead vocalist of Corroded Coffin or else he would’ve totally sang along to (or at least mouthed the words to) Master of Puppets. Which, honestly, that’s fair. I’ll give them that. However, I saw another one where someone was talking about how none of the other three band members were signing while they were practicing, so it’s possible that Corroded Coffin simply doesn’t have a vocalist. But, like… Am I crazy or can/do bands not rehearse instrumentals before bringing vocals into it?? I’ve always just assumed that’s how bands operate… They master the most important part (the music) and then add the vocals in later on down the line. Obviously, you don’t want to wait until the last minute to add in the vocals, but I’ve always assumed bands just focus on the basics first. Is that not… Is that not a thing that bands normally do??? Like, is that totally outlandish?? I mean, I know sometimes bands simply don’t have vocalists when they’re starting out, but… Is it not also possible that maybe Jeff (or the other guitar player, who’s unnamed) is the lead vocalist, but the band just wasn’t at the point with that particular song where they were ready to start adding in vocals???

man… i really wish those big posts about why self-deprecation is bad for everyone were worded a little nicer, they make a lot of good points but i really don’t see how being so blatantly rude towards people who already feel bad about themselves benefits anyone. i’m not saying you shouldn’t be firm and direct when it comes to how you feel when others speak so badly about themselves around you, but idk… telling people that they should just shut up and that they’re a huge pain to be around seems a bit counter-productive to me.
