Every time I read/watch something with the woman disguising herself as a man trope, all my little transmasc heart wants is for her to decide she likes being a guy, actually, instead of this "oh how horrible this is that I have to be masculine" <-passing with ease I can only dream of

Vi, the Undercity rebel who thinks with her fists, who hates the Enforcers for what they have done to Zaun and its people. Vi who falls in love with an Enforcer, Vi who joins them, because above all she desires a "family" again, but then after everything is said and done, an Enforcer is all she has left. Until she doesn't. Then what does she have?
Jinx, the crazed killer, who talks to herself more than she speaks with others, who doesn't just kill strangers but those closest to her. Especially those closest to her. Jinx the revolutionary, who in a single act, shakes the pillars of power and oppression in Zaun. Jinx who will be a rallying cry for for the oppressed and a symbol of revolt against the powerful. All without her desire or intention to be one.
Caitlyn, the idealist, who shuns the comfort of her family's wealth to serve her city. Who runs toward danger instead of away from it. Who sees a "good heart" in Vi and the dangers of "a government who doesn't give a shit". Caitlyn the Enforcer, who sees her mother die at the hands of her love interest's sister. Caitlyn who suddenly has the weight of her House on her shoulders and all its responsibilities. Who sees the attacks on Piltover not as the defense of the oppressed but as the lashing out of "animals". Who twists her mother's philanthropy to become a boogeyman of Zaun, and then dictator of her own home. Who throws away love for vengeance.
Mel, the manipulator, the puppetmaster. She plays politicians like a fiddle and revels in the games of corruption and intrigue. Who takes a tool originally built to improve the lives of the many and ensures it stays in the hands of the rich. Who asks that weapons be made, against the wishes of its creators. Mel, the pacifist, who has seen all too closely the cost of war and the spilling of blood. Who is also quick to limit the use of the very weapons she requested. Who pushes back against her mother at every turn because she knows deep down, she refuses to ever be "the wolf".
And these are just some of the complicated characters in Arcane! I could go on about Silco the Crime Lord and Silco the Father. Jayce the Golden Boy and Jayce the Mad Scientist. Viktor the Dying and Viktor the Savior. Sevika the Stooge and Sevika the Kingmaker.
The characters of Arcane possess multitudes and THAT is what makes it a good show. Because they are walking contradictions but at the same time, make complete sense. They are so... so... human.

well and to be clear. eddie loves being a father. there's nothing in the text to indicate that he feels that having a child (even under the circumstances that he did) held him back or that he'd be adverse to having more children if he had the right partner. the kim stuff is a uniquely awful situation. one he didn't react perfectly to, i suppose, but also not something he deserves to be narratively punished for in the way that he has. helena and ramon flying in without telling eddie and sweeping chris away to texas is not an appropriate consequence to eddie reacting to an INSANE situation, that he also tried to stop.

Thinking always about this one scene from The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse and Elrond CONSTANTLY:
Maedhros: what do you want to be when you grow up?
Elrond: … Kind
Maedhros: *with a small sad smile* hmmm

Hey, has anyone ever thought about why the King set up base in Dormont, a fairly small town with no specific special qualities about it? Could it be that he heard about the observatory, or that Euphrasie had been researching Wish Craft? Surely the first time she thought of it couldn’t have been when the King attacked, she knows far too much about it for that to be true. She realized in the span of a few MINUTES that Siffrin was using Time Craft. How did she know about that. How on earth did she know that?? It took Siffrin so many loops to figure that out and he was the one literally traveling through time!

In honor of me rereading @ratcash-wasgud 's loser!Mizu series I'd like to point out that
Is what Mizu would blast in her headphones for months before the party happened. ESPECIALLY after her first interaction with reader at the aquarium.
Tumblr media
Akemi probably showed her Chappel one day and Mizu reluctantly played a few of her songs "Only cause Akemi will finally leave me alone." and got hooked.
"Red Wine Supernova" might also be a secret favourite of hers.
Does the music fit her vibe? Maybe not, but she'd listen to it on repeat anyway.

Something about Durotan watching over Draka as she she sleeps does something to me. Something snapped in my brain. Something has been unlocked, I fear…
Seriously though I can’t get enough of Durotan (I love you too, Draka, don’t worry). He’s taking up so much space in my mind.
The orc obsession is strong and every second of this movie fuels my obsession.
(Btw, to those that are interested in my fanfics, I am open to plot/scenario suggestions for Durotan any of the other orcs. My brain is a bit fried right now so I’m struggling with coming up with ideas. Especially since I’m writing requests for other fandoms at the moment so my brain is all over the place. Jumping from Pennywise to Johnny Cage and then back to these orcs is like going on a mini rollercoaster in my head.)

i feel like there’s not enough kid characters in media that don’t sass the adult in their life as 95% of their interactions. like there are so many other personalities that kids could have that isn’t borderline them hating on the adult every interaction bc honestly that is a small % of kids that act like that
like let me see the adult character who begrudgingly adopts a child trope but the kid literally is as gruff and tired as they are. another person comes in and sees the two sitting on the porch in the morning, adult with a coffee and morning paper, the kid with orange juice and a coloring page and they’re just silent.
or same trope but the kid is hyperactive and doesn’t understand sarcasm so the gruff adult says something sarcastic and then freaks out because the kid starts crying then once comforted they climb up a boulder and jumps off without warning the adult and the adult is just Stressed Always. they possibly get a leash backpack because some kids need it
or a kid character who is just obsessed with their mother. media doesn’t portray this ever but like 80% of kids i’ve taught LOVE their ma. have the 3rd graders talk about how much they love their moms cooking and then go into detail about all the food their mom makes and how she lets them help her
like kids have wildly different personalities and it’s rare you have a kid that can even understand sarcasm at earlier ages and much less that have the desire to literally hate on the adult they love 24/7. Also, with kids that do love to have playfully mean sarcasm, the moment the adult actually shows that they don’t like that they stop (if they love and trust the adult obv). but like they only give it if the adult can dish it out too
i just am kind of tired of the adult and rude comedic relief kid character tbh like give me something else

I hate historical dramas especially ancient Rome ones that just show sex (consensual and nonconsensual) and murder every two seconds. No, they did not just kill and screw whoever back then. There were rules. No matter how loosely followed they still had them.

I've never heard kagehina people talking about the second ending, like I always got soo much kagehina vibes from it. The lyrics???? The ending??? Kageyama smiling softly at the camera after being hit in the back of the head with a volleyball?? I love them too much. I've always thought of it as one the most kagehina scenes, but I've never heard anyone mention it
