yeah yeah Regulus pining after James as a child and James doesn’t notice him but James when he was a child constantly asking Sirius where his brother is and if he can come out to hang out with him and makes up some excuse as to why he’s asking for it so much James who when they started being friends constantly tagged after Regulus and if he was out with his other friends James just waited by the phone for his call James who is so pathetic when it comes to his love for Regulus literally everyone besides Regulus knows about it James who stares hopelessly after Regulus never asking for more because he’s not sure Regulus feels the same way and soothes himself by saying “at least we’re best friends” at least they have that kind of love

not only does buck clearly only want that to be eddie’s shoulder but i think if eddie saw someone else grab buck’s shoulder he’d be filled with so much jealousy he didn’t know what to do with 😇

see this is how we get 'platonic' hickeys between them where eddie sees someone else grab bucks shoulder so he just gets pissed for either the rest of shift until buck follows him home and eddie just absolutely bites the fuck out of that shoulder and collarbone region and they go wow we're such good friends we want to have our marks on each other yay because we belong to only each other

there's this horrible school of attempted literary criticism on here that holds that 1. everything in any given author's work is autobiographical, especially if it seems "real" and 2. those themes seeped into the work subconsciously, revealing something about the author that they're either trying to hide or unaware of themself. it drives me up a wall, since it seems to deny the fundamental skills that make people good writers: the empathy to imagine and portray experiences that one hasn't had oneself and the ability to take one's personal emotional experiences or worldview and fold them, consciously, into the unworked clay of a narrative.
