Soo, i usually base my ocs on animal idioms, animal expressions, adjectives, etc. Here are some examples with meanings!!

Someone who keeps themselves busy

Diagonally opposite from someone or something

Sitting Duck(s)

Someone thats easy to manipulate, cheat or take advantage of

Do something to its fullest extent

Person used as a subject for an experiment

You can also take normal expressions that have certain words that sound like animal species! Take my oc as an example (Sir Bat-An-Eye.)

COLORS-

IF you are basing your little critter on a real animal, you could think, “Man, how do i make this little guy look more Smiling Critter-ish?”

COLORS!!

Take Bubba for example,

He is an elephant! Elephants aren’t a bright blinding blue! Yet in a lot of cartoons they are represented this way because it is way more colorful! Sure to attract kids.

If it is an actual animal, search for some cartoon references of them! Maybe that can help!

Saturate the colors A LOT. Do you think kiddies would like an old, rusty, sad-beige-mom animal in their show??!?! Well- maybe…..🤔

But thats not the point! Make them bright! Make them pop!

Also, don’t always base them off of the animals ACTUAL colors! Give them different colors! If you want to make your alligator oc red because he lives in the depths of an erupting volcano then go ahead! If you want your parrot oc to be THE COLOR OF THE FUCKING RAINBOW then go ahead!! Who says they have to be the normal colors? Not me!

PERSONALITY AND ANIMAL CHOOSING-

Sooo… if you wanna be very picky like me.. then choose animals by how they would act in a society!

A hyena wouldn’t be nice! They would make fun of people, they would be rude!

A gazelle would be shy! They wouldn’t get their kicks from fighting!

That kinda what i mean🤔

If you want an elegant Critter, look for animals that often represent elegance, like peacocks!!

WHAT THEY DO.

What would they do if they were caretakers in PlayCare? A therapist? A janitor? What do they teach? Think about that and maybe that will help you with their necklaces!!

originally this was a joke between me and people in a server, i even sent some variants that added "ohio" and "skibidi" in it. however i didnt realize this could cause some serious and horrible harm, especially the "skibidi" variants.

i wanna apologize to everyone that may have been hurt from this as this was not im intention, i am very sorry, because of the high amounts of regret i feel i will now leave this account for the time being, and think about my horrible actions, i am very sorry, i understand if anyone has been hurt to much to accept this apology, all i want is for everyone to be alright in the end, and im looking forward to improve.

honestly im still hung up on the fact that i basically got fucking baited out of relating to uni. i liked and related to them a lot as i am an ace/gay guy myself, but now just....bleugh i could ignore the sex jokes at first but now it feels like thats half of unis character and them being on the ace spectrum is just thrown out the window for the sake of jokes and/or sexualizing them. Because why have good ace rep when you can just throw their asexuality out the window :') i also kind of have issues with tfem uni i can't lie. i'm sorry i can't. my issue isnt with having a trans character, its just how its handled. uni's less traditionally masculine interests (like his plush) in chapter 2 was really cool to me because it felt like there was this overarching message of uni struggling with having those interests, but learning that what they like doesnt make them any less of a person. It felt nice seeing a guy who was comfortable expressing dressing up in a certain way, or finding comfort in softer things, and it felt really nuanced and I related to that a lot. Now its just....nope, they were actually a girl the whole time. I'm sorry, again i dont have a problem with characters being trans because that would be stupid, i just...can't help but feel a little dejected/betrayed by the shift.

honestly uni's aegosexual label does feel like an excuse for kc to make constant sex jokes with her, i get that asexuality is a spectrum but shes treated just like any other non a-spec character and its annoying

i can see that the way uni's tfem identity was written can come off as shaky and i understand where youre coming from with how kittycorn writes tfems, but im not sure on what more i could say about this considering im tmasc

I just think the au premise is bad on the face of it... Just bc its 'supposed' to be a swap au doesnt mean thats a good thing. Why do u feel the need to justify a decision like that when u criticize people for supporting Kittycorn? I'm sorry for implying u werent disabled, but even being disabled doesnt mean u cant be ableist or support ableist people. It just feels like u people are so desperate to hate on Kittycorn and support literally anyone else that ull support someone whos actually problematic....

You do not know me. Do not try to psychologize me. I don't care if anything you did was in good faith, because NONE of that was okay to say. I am aware that I can still be ableist, but instead of talking about the actual ableism in the main comic you came to me to complain that some random creator was being ableist by erasing disabilities (which they didn't, by the by. The only ones that were removed were the ones that would NOT allow the patients to be staff at all. TUC would not help with being a nurse, whatsoever.) Jay still has dwarfism, Barry still has a weak immune system, Polly still uses its cane, Hemera still bleeds. They are being treated for the conditions that they can be, which is why Hemera's bleeding isn't as much of an issue; the reason it is in the main comic is because she is not getting treatment for it.

A character's disability not affecting every single part of their life does not make them less disabled. Despite what Kc shows in kits comic.

Also, you have to remember that these are fictional characters, okay? That's like saying that people can't make headcanons for characters that go against canon because it would be weird to do so to real life people. And it would be! But these are characters. These are not real people. And I don't "support literally anything else", I'm actually critical about my other interests as well. I like taking things apart and analyzing them, that doesn't go just for sc.

staying on anon bc i talk about sparklecare/cometcare a lot on my blog and i do genuinely enjoy them but it's kinda reassuring to me to know that this blog exists and i'm not just like... being weird over being critical over the series lol. like i'm an aromantic gay guy and i also find it really weird that barruni/carlsly were initially introduced as mlm only to be flipped around into being hetero + hemera being aro but still having like five qpps in cometcare (keeping in mind I'M a partnering aro in a qpp and still find that as an excuse to ship hemera without really acknowledging that she's aro because it's mentioned. one time and never again in main sparklecare). i didn't say anything because i didn't know if i was just being a hater or whatever since the majority of ships are sapphic but yeahhh the lack of proper mlm/nblm and aro/ace characters that are either never acknowledged as such or just straight up changed into something else feels really iffy to me.

also tangentially related, i don't want to name names since i've seen that person on this blog's replies before but i feel like i can't have shit as a gay man kinning dr party (who is canonically gay) because of that person shipping him with uni and then being under like, every cometcare post and post relating to party. i know party's sexuality is never stated in-comic but it's been listed before and that person is under so many of kittycorn's posts that i feel like kit would said something about it if kit cared lol. sorry this ask is really long (this isn't even mentioning everything else i have issues with) but i haven't admitted this before and it's pretty important to me as an aro gay man. thanks for running this blog, it makes me feel normal. /gen -🐍

quality control re:stylization in sparklecare got way more intense since v2 (some pages are, i am so sorry to say, straight up bad) so v3 and v4 are way sleeker and more consistent. what this means is you can't tell at a glance who's done which page. we're all trying to make it look seamlessly like kittycorns art

BUT. as you guys may know. things like unis eye blood aren't present in sketches. it's something the inkers colorists get to just sorta eyeball. that's the modern era of where you can identify different clowns stylizations

from pages 6 and 7 respectively

there are other small examples of style variations too. again usually things not present in the sketch, like gown spots and sometimes markings and stuff. it could be as minuscule as pen pressure. just some interesting details to look out for!

I'm sorry that I seemed foolish, I haven't read the full post and so I just thought it was another headcanon designs and nothing much, until I saw somebody reblog my answer and say "gee I wonder why" and mention all of the stuff. I've only now fully read it and understand the concern. They appeared on my fyp and were a small account so I wanted to "support" them (or him, apparently) and was quick to reblog without fully reading the post.

I know that it makes me look even more dumb, and I feel like I'm becoming an "unsure" person since I'm not that quick to hop on new things happening in sparklecare community. Please understand me if you can.

I know that I've "accidentally" f-ed up a lot already, and I'm trying to change or to somehow make myself not that big part of a community, since my headcanons made somebody inspired and "validated" to make a redesign with criticism that is unneeded and not welcome since everything kittycorn does is for herself. And I don't know if it should be mentioned, but I never did any headcanon design as an attempt to make it "better for everyone / better than original". The first even geadcanon design-on that I've done was Uni's because I personally tried to make her more enby/fem in appearance, not trying to say that it's better than original one or criticize the og in any way.

I'm also genuinely sorry if this post seems rushed and unnecessary, or even "badly written". English is still not my first language and I'm bad at expressing my thoughts. If kittycorn in someway finds me as an unpleasant or uncomfortable person to be a part of sparklecare Fandom, then I'd completely understand kits comfort. /srs
