how they handle injuries drive me UP THE WALL. like i personally assume teams start actin like this when theyre in hopes of playoffs when in reality its like . BABY. WE ARENT GOIN TO BOSTON. PUT THE STICK DOWN.

to make this about the sharks (you read my rankings, you know im like this) i constantly joke about the sharks being the healthiest team in the league cause all our players are out. like christ we have second most missed games on a per player basis at 459 man games lost to injury, second to vegas!

but i think its straight up because playoffs are SUCH a pipe dream for 19-wins-total san jose sharks that we dont HAVE the same pressure to play with torn muscles or broken bones. there is a reason why mackblack CAN have his 72 hours of purgatory (3 day long fever) out compared to teams who are noted to have locker room wide sickness and still getting in board battles. i think we should expose mackblack to them kinda players before the preseason so he builds an immunity to whatever they got. yeah im basically trying to vaccinate him SORRY i am getting distracted

This one is,, not really an au of mine?? I guess just my friends fanon FHSDKFDK for context bredele de cassonade (or just dele for short) is langue de chats sibling who is owned by @/localhypnofruit!!! zey were originally created and designed by me for an au where langue wasnt born (name will not be mentioned for Reasons) though we loved the goober a bit too much X] Socks has taken ownership and developed deles personality and such, while i adore them i prefer to keep langue as an only child in my own headcanon universe because i feel like it works really well for their character. ALTHOUGH me and socks still enjoy discussing the two,, In short dele looks up to langue since they appear very intelligent and confident and strong but in reality langue is a jealous little fuck who just sees dele as competition and just lies to his face because they can and it makes them feel like theyre better than zem. Langue is a lawyer while dele is a doctor (stereotypical Big Boy jobs) and they are disgusted by deles entire career because they have a weak stomach and cant stand gore of any kind and again they feel like they need to out-perform dele and be better than zem in every way HFSDJF

I dont think that the original Dele au really counts so i wont give it a section but its worth an honorable mention!! They technically arent siblings since langue was never born and thus dele basically replaced them (which of course comes with a LOOT of bitter feelings and EXTREME jealousy) and not even their parents know who they are,, so. Technically siblings but not exactly

This was another au me and socks talked about :] well. it was more of a Concept actually we didnt do much with it HFSDJHFSDKJ in short (from my memory) Langue is an alien from planet xylitol who gets sent to earthbread to learn more about it and ends up being adopted by deles family aka their canonical parents. Struggles to adapt and is very homesick but i think they grow very close with dele.? i dont remember and i dont feel like checking so um. hi army if youre reading this sorry if i got it wrong HELP

BNB AU

This is. You guessed it. another au with langue and dele YAAAY!!! thats actually 90% of these aus but they all have very different relationships which is why im still listing them HFJSDHJF in this one langue trains and studies as hard as they can to become a magical (magical girl gender neutral) and then becomes a kingdom-wide celebrity and completely forgets about their family because they are so blinded by their stardom. Sad ! dele misses them dearly </3

Molasses AU

Another langue and dele au <3 in this one their parents ended up dying when they were Very young so they were adopted by one of their parents siblings named molasses,, who is very neglectful. Literally does not care one ounce about these kids and yet still gets pity from the rest of their extended family because he took in the poor little orphan siblings. Langue and dele become very VERY close, literally inseparable and as self-reliant as they can be. langue is confident and Loud enough to speak up for both of them "excuse me they asked for NO pickles" while dele is more emotional and physical support :] since dele is quite quiet and langue sucks at comfort and care. Basically the second they can they get out of molasses' house and move in with each other and langue sues his ass the SECOND they can FHDFHDS the two of them still end up struggling a lot though </3 Langue is still very tough on dele but more in a caring way than just an Im Better Than You way

Choco Family AU

this is SHOCKINGLY not a dele au!! This one is about langue being adopted into the Choco B family (choco bar, choco ball, my oc choco bass and @/vnillatree's oc choco bark :]) Theyre the one Chill One and then their siblings are energetic and athletic and very VERY rough they keep ending up in wrestling matches when they never wanted to wrestle in the first place. Okay so like DC and Marvel, Donald Duck series has both animation and comic book serialization, and they tend have... very different directions.

TV series of Donald has like the classic cartoons and also Quack Pack and Ducktales stuff. I (unfortunately) don't grow up with those because my family didnt have any cables tv until like 2010ish? way passed when those on air on Disney channel so I don't know much about them

I DO HOWEVER, grow up with the comic serialization of Donald! Did you know they have like different magazine series and pocket comic book series?

I grew up with translated magazine comics and pocket comic books both sold locally. The magazine is just called Donal Bebek (Donald Duck) and the pocket comic book one is called Poket Paman Gober (Uncle Scrooge.. Pocket?)

I (think) the magazine series are more American-oriented? American publisher? Because they usually carries name like Don Rosa and Carl Barks (the famous ones I can remember on top of my head bc im bad at looking up artists name im so sorry)

The comic book series (i think) are more European-oriented. An Italian publisher got the rights to publish Disney comics so they also do Donald Duck and he became very famous there.

I think you've seen some of those post of "What do you mean Mickey Mouse is a detective and have cool adventures in Italian comics?" Because he does and those Italians comic also have a lot of fun Donald adventures too

so in the first episode of the first season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Nightmare Moon is prophesized to be released/freed from her prison (the moon) by the stars. now that at first gets you thinking, "okay, but why would the stars want nightmare moon to be freed? she's evil." and you're right... kind of?

twilight's cutie mark is a sparkle, or rather, a star. see where im going? well now you're thinking "but twilight actively works against nightmare moon!" and you're right! but, i dont think the prophecy was actually about freeing nightmare moon, but about freeing Luna.

luna herself didnt ever want to cause the kind of harm that happened when she was nightmare moon, and she was essentially imprisoned in her own mind via corruption in a weird sort of venom-and-eddie-but-not-really kind of thing

twilight sparkle, the stars, frees Luna from her prison (nightmare moon) which was a state originally brought on by corruption, i think(?)

uh if you havent guessed im autistic (undiagnosed but whtv) and this section of my half-past-midnight, feelings-induced, whatever-ness of a post/ask answer is about how dhmis made me feel and why i guess

dhmis makes me think of jack stauber's videos. i think the connection is pretty obvious, i mean, you cant take a look at bumblebees are out and then take a look at dhmis and tell me they arent at all similar.

umm, dhmis's approach to horror is very interesting and unique to itself, its (or was, when it was first introduced) a very new style of horror. it's a psychological nightmare, but even without the even surface-level analysies of the psychological horror, it's still absolutely horrifying. it's uncomfortable, it's gross, and it's generally very unpleasant.

all three guys (yellow, red, duck) are trapped in this repeating nightmare of a day, with incompetent people masquerading as teachers who dont know what they're talking about. this, again, very deeply resonates with me, as the kid who had a lot of special interests which coincidentally corresponded to a lot of things we learned in school. i liked a lot of things science related, expecially since my parents are both scientists. i often like, knew more about the topics that were being taught (read: shoved down my throat, incorrectly i might add) to me. i, being the justice seeker i was, would raise my hand to correct the teacher because i needed to make sure that this clearly innocent mistake was corrected so that no one carried misinformation. which is rude, apparently, there's a reason i dont like talking about stuff anymore, thanks middleschool. that bit about yellow guy turning smart for a bit really hit, sorry.

the whole part of the first ever episode about the arranging-leaves-and-sticks-into-one's-favorite-color makes me think about that time in fifth grade. the scene is so hilariously jarring in one way, then it hits you again. "go and collect some leaves and sticks, and arrange them into your favorite colors" is a line that, at first, just makes completely no sense at all, because, how the fuck does one arrange a pretty much monochromatic pallette and arrange it to be in your favorite colors? youre given only a half a second to be confused before the three comply in a different way than the viewer didnt think was the option. they arrange the sticks to spell out thier favorite colors. and then, yeah! that makes sense, so youre satisfied. but the episode punches you in the goddamn face again, by telling yellow he's wrong because "green is not a creative color" which is both very jarring and triggering, and just, infinitely hilarious to me. so how does any of that remind me of fifth grade? it's more autistic childhood stuff, lmao:

when i was in fifth grade, i had teacher who didnt communicate her kind of already nonsensical rules in a way little autistic me could understand, and i didnt ask questions because id been trained to know that asking questions is "giving sass" or fucking, whatever the hell nt adults think it is idk. anyway, this one weekish, at some point, my more rowdy classmates had gotten out of hand using their water bottles and kept spilling water everywhere, so my teacher said that we had to keep our water bottles at her desk at all times. and i was immediately distressed for two reasons: one, it was interrupting a status-quo that had been established (i.e., keeping out water bottles by us, at our feet, every day), and two, i couldnt drink water if Ms. teacher had my bottle. and the way she said it made it extremely easy for an autistic who takes almost everything too literally to misinterpert what she was saying. everyone else got the memo apparently, but i didnt.

id go on more about this but im too tired for an emotional deep dive rn and i wasnt to make an actual post about just dhmis at some point. anyway the point ofthat section was basically i really relate to yellow guy.

the truman show!!

the truman show is a work of absolute fucking genius. i was actually introduced to it via ranboo's generation loss, which is an analogue horror series with a youtube channel with around six(?) vids and a three-part streamed-vod series which was inspired by the truman series i think.

anywaay the inherent horror but comfort in your whole entire life being carefully crafted to be entertainment for thousands upon thousands of people! untapped venting market tbh.

the way that, at the start of the movie, the show is already unraveling, his dad shows up in almost the first scene.

i think the way that the actors subtly break character throughout the show and then try to cover it up in a way that makes sense to their character so that truman doesnt realize they're not real.

but then how the subtlety of the character breaks slowly becomes less and less subtle, and it just... unravels.

back in like 2015/2016 me and my friends were HUGE on minecraft roleplays. like, hypixel housing high school rps and the 'wolves vs humans' rps and all that. you have no clue how many hours i've spent on hypixel housing. holy fuck. and obviously you need your own character to roleplay as, and no way in hell was i gonna use my (then old) user 'pikachu' lmAO

so!! since i absolutely adore dragons !!! i searched up dragon-like names and 'hydra' seemed to stick out to me!! 'scylla' and 'wyvern' were a very close second buut it didnt have the ring that 'hydra' did :] (also the name i picked before hydra was 'scale' ... wtf i was a dumb kid)

so that's what i named my (minecraft) roleplay character!! i had the whole 'girl in the ender dragon costume' skin going (i believe i still have that? if u go on namemc 'hydraNessa' you'll see it :p), and overtime i became more accustomed to the name 'hydra'. she was basically my whole persona, online and irl. heck i even responded to it in primary school when people called me hydra haha

i guess it's who i am now !! i love the name, i love the myth, i fuckign love dragons, so heck why not go by a name related to them?

the original 3d little man <33 hes like . the only 3d (adult) without chainmail bc he lived in a forest full of immortal children for his entire childhood (we dont talk about his age in majoras mask bc its complicated but just trust me hes a literal manchild) so AJSJAJAJ i differentiate him by that and his pants being distinctly white. the entire franchise and lore did him SO dirty but thats not the point of this (frothing at the mouth to rant about it but at another time)

Wind Waker

littlest of little men <33 hes the easiest link to distinguish from the others mainly bc of the art style, to the point that the fandom also calls him toon link. you can also tell ww link by the little swirly belt buckle thingy he has. also ALSO his tunic having a combo of dark + light green. literally forced the gods to choose him as his era's hero (he never held the hero's spirit in the first place) all bc his sister got kidnapped. absolute force to be reckoned with but still has voice cracks and Will Not Swear in front of his grandma in my hcs. all links are gremlins but this one literally sails with pirates so he has the background AHSHSHAHH

Twilight Princess

HES SO SOFT AUGH IM CRYING I WANT A PLUSHIE FRFR AJSJSJAJA but fr . absolute himbo and dumbass but vv much in love with his zelda <33 he has such a similar design with tp and its hard to be sure its him bc both tp and sksw link wear chainmail, but the art style of the game makes it so that the one who has the brighter and more pastel green is sksw link. his hair is also kinda diff and more soft looking, and hes also right handed <33

is there any chance youll say how many times the pairings that *did* get in were submitted, assuming there were duplicate submissions? (i do not fully understand how the submissions for these things work.) i understand that u may not want to share too much more about the actual selection process but- well honestly im just so surprised the ship i submitted got in that i really want to know how many submissions it got. (not cuz they dont fit the parameters or anything im just usually the sole person submitting Some Guy to an absolutely massive bracket lol. this just hasnt ever happened before.) i also just think its fun in general to compare the numbers of submissions on these brackets when theyre made available though. sorry youre getting shit over your selection process btw, wishing everyone in your askbox a very remembering this is tumblr and not, like, a medical journal.

I don't like to say "how many submissions" something got because I dont select based on number of submissions. I got quite a few asks asking about how many submissions something got that I didnt want to answer because I did not want people to get the idea that number of submissions would decide on its own what got into the bracket, especially because submissions are anonymous and the number of submissions can be artificially inflated.

I did prioritize ships with a lot of submissions but I also decided to not include some that were submitted a lot for reasons stated previously. I also tried to use number of submissions as a guideline for seeding, but this bracket was really really hard to seed and I'm not sure if I could ever be fully satisfied with it - at this point we will have to just play it out.

If it was a femslash ship, a lot of the femslash ships on the final bracket are more niche and maybe only got a couple submissions.

If it was a m/m ship, it might have had a really passionate submission. Or one of my friends convinced me to add them. (psychonauts and our dreams at dusk come to mind, i have friends who would do the tbh eyes at me until i added them)

But yeah, i did go through all submissions individually, and there were ones that had people infodumping so passionately that i was like "yeah ok you can come"

ok so this is my dog (goat) its name is zyzzy he is a goat and an idol and an angel (insane. id say dont ask me to explain but i will anyways)

Zyzzy is a goat that should've gone to hell. Unfortunately, it didn't. To capitalize on the newfound divinity given to it in a freak goat accident, he decided to become an idol and ruin the lives of every single person that comes to his concerts. It takes pleasure in being ripped apart piece by piece, hiding its perverse acts from right under the eyes of God while it can still get away with it. Part of the underground idol group "Heaven's Sync", featuring Zyzzy and his "friends": Hail and BBTD (Bitter). All three of them have separate, nearly unobtainable goals, but with the power of not-so-legal means to an end and an echo chamber of enabling, they WILL do what they have to. Their fanbase isn't large, but there's more than a lot of diehard fans. Whoops!

so that explains Most of it. but theres more (obviously)

so i dont have access to my files so i cant infodump about all of the angel stuff BUT basically

1. crystal never leaves the body, kind of stays floating around the head like an annoying bug you cant get rid of

2. halo is kind of squishy but only when touched by the owner, if by anyone else its kind of like metal, cool to the touch and makes a ringing sound if you hit it. it can separate into as many small parts as the owner wants (kind of like mitosis or clay, can be pushed back together) but its always in a ring form, the outside ring stays the same size, but can be stripped vertically too if you want a thinner halo

3. wings are poised on the waist (zyzzy is wearing fake wings in the idol outfit (lmao) so theyre on the back) but wings can generally be positioned anywhere on the body but usually arent changed since they can be hidden.

4. horns, antlers, stray bones and anything of the sort are translated into wings when an animal is turned into an angel. when visiting down to the world, these are usually hidden or turned into what they were before they were wings. the resulting horns are softer and if an angel is too new, it takes mental and physical effort to keep them in horn shape

5. angels retain little to no memory of their previous life, but some still have them because of accidents or other endlessly complicated reasons

so thats like about angels but. about zyzzy. its a freak. hes a freak a little weirdo. awful person no one likes him when they actually get to know him hes super superficial and flimsy and everything bad under the sun. sucks as a person an animal an idol an angel. you name it. but everyone loves him so its okay

oh yeah all goats go to hell btw. that why its called goat hell. get it? because hes a goat. and it didnt go to hell. and it was supposed to. but okay i cant explain it because i need to design some other things first but its really funny i swear

zyzzys teeth also stick out when it has its mouth closed (super important to me) and its hair fans out at the ends (also super important to me)

so this is its idol group and friends (bitter (bunny) on the left and hail (fox) on the right)

hail is the Killer (awesome) (hes like the poisoner) and bitter is just sweaty and weird and anxious (awesome) (constantly enabled by the other two for their own amusement) but ill talk about them some other day when i have refs made for them. theyre just kind of funny to me

oh also chibo is a part of this universe. and is a super huge fan of bitter but thats besides the point

this is all just really self indulgent i just wanted to make something stupid and funny like a year or so ago and now i have it and im obsessed. obsessed with it. so thats all
