i still haven’t really had the time to process my emotions but i really am soooo upset that we didn’t get a funeral …….. like . there are a lot of things i forgive akutami for because of how awful his work schedule must be / how hellish writing is in general but choosing to throw in that last minute mission instead of a funeral to really show grief over gojo’s death is not one of them …… i just don’t really understand it? i’ve always disagreed with the fandom’s ooc allegations and i still do now because nothing the characters did or said this chapter was ooc, but if they aren’t shown grieving beforehand then obviously people are going to feel that gap… :’)

the literal only issue is that what we know must have happened between these chapters wasn’t shown to us. and that just makes me so so sad . we know how many people cared about gojo, yuji tells him that ’none of us could ever forget you’ and maybe that’s akutami’s way of showing that, but since the characters don’t even explicitly mention that he’s dead everything just falls kinda flat … i’m still praying on my knees for an ova chapter / for mappa to add stuff in season 4, but rn i just feel very sad :< the gap of writing quality between 261 and 271 is just really jarring … i liked a lot of things in this chapter. but i just can’t get past the funeral thing …….

Claudia had achieved her happiness/freedom twice, only for it to get snatched away from her at the last second. by Lestat, by the coven and Armand, and Lestat again.

Louis, he gave you to your and your daughter's murderer like you're a goat. he still thinks he owns you and has the right to make decisions for you, to punish you, to let you “learn”, like you're a child-wife and he's the all-knowing father. you stayed with this said murderer for years, not knowing the truth, because it was withheld for you as a lesson, he doesn't see you as an equal. you have wronged, Claudia, yes. many times. you have chocked her to save your abuser because you no longer know how to live without his suffocation, it terrifies you to get out of the boiling water. you're free but you keep drowning, in your guilt, in your attachment, trauma bond, punishing yourself. don't take the equal fault. y'all were forced to flee. do you hear me? both of you were forced to leave. she was forced to leave three times because of him! they could've delivered this differently, i understand that this is loustat hurricane of a toxic abusive patriarchal relationship + the focus on that both Louis and Claudia are black and lestat as their white master, good exploration on that. and Louis as a character to say shit like this also makes sense (from his pov), his mother, his role in the family, scapegoat, all that., come back, separate, come back. like i said, he's used to this. but the takes on this scene online.....

They won't believe me. I didn't even understand what it was. I was so young and uncomfortable but I still didn't understand what was happening. I'm lying to myself. It didn't happen the same way here, but God i wish I was lucky enough to have someone to tell. And now it's happening all over again. With another family member. And I can't say anything because no one would believe me. It's not the same as before but he's my dad, my fucking dad. I see him everyday. And it's when he's drunk, he wouldn't even remember. im am SO so sorry i havent been able to post in so long aaa.. at the moment i am very much not okay, unfortunately a lot of things have gone poorly very quickly but hopefully its only a temporary set back!!

tldr i finally managed to get a full time job a month & a half after moving and my car broke down for the last time almost immediately upon hiring so i now have to walk ~2hrs to and from an 8 hour shift every day + more personal stuff,, the pain & stress is Not fun for my back problems or mental health :,^)

hoping to get the bike my mom leant me repaired as soon as i have my first paycheck or 2, so fingers crossed that will make a huge difference

i have still been slowly working on comms in whatever free time i get but its slow going 😔 ty everybody for your patience & sorry again for not being online!

tbh I kinda hate when people say no one cared about satoru. I know gege didn't show us anything, but knowing the characters there's no way that's true. Especially for yuta and yuji. He literally saved their lives and helped them so much & they were always happy to be around him and support him 😭 megumi definitely cared too, but we know he isn't someone that shows his emotions. Shoko too, remember how concerned and stressed she was during the gojo vs sukuna fight? Lots of the characters do care. Gege just didn't show any of it in the end chapters :(

seeing ppl talking about mythal and solas - in any kind of relationship, platonic, romantic, familial, whatever - and it's just a constant refrain of "oh the abuse-" "well what about the abuse-" "but she was so abusive-" "so obviously he was abused-"

listen. yes, women can abuse men. that's a thing. i'm not denying that. but nowhere in the canon was it shown that she was anything like abusive to him. nowhere. i've played all the games. i played davg. i saw the murals and i saw the ending

that's an interpretation. you're allowed to have it! but it's not stated in canon. in fact, i've heard that trick weekes clarified that she was not releasing him from a binding

she used his wisdom as a weapon. yes, she did! y'know who else used someone as a weapon? let's see. duncan. king cailan. cassandra. cullen. leliana. josephine. divine justinia. arguably divine victoria as well (i'm fuzzier on da2 so i'm skipping that). solas. but cassandra / inquisitor is a fine ship, right? (note: i truly think it is a fine ship, it's a good ship! i'm just using it as an example) even though cassandra locked the inquisitor up? even though she pinned all the blame for the events of the conclave on them? even though she used them as a weapon to seal the breach?

oh but mythal seeking solas' aid in stopping elgar'nan... well, yeah, of course that's unforgiveable 🙄

solas went willingly. he joined her willingly. she asked, he came, and they did what they did together. he was with her every step of the way, until he wasn't, and even then he never stopped caring about her... and she never stopped caring about him

hurting someone does not necessarily equal abuse. by which i mean... people who care for each other can hurt each other. it can be by accident, or through circumstance. it can happen when ppl are pushed to a brink and they lash out. hurt can happen for many reasons. but calling it abuse implies a level of intent or carelessness which is decidedly not present in anything we've been shown of their relationship

and it's not like i don't notice how so many ppl love the idea of solas treating lavellan with smth akin to worship but when he does it to mythal it's because she's an abusive monster

also he killed her??? that was a thing. that happened. look i'm not saying two wrongs make a right or whatever, but i find it noticeable that it's never, EVER about solas abusing her, using her, nothing like that. she is eternally the villain, her own complexity sanded down to fit into a nice Evil Evanuris box

god. i wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't all i was seeing. it's a fine interpretation but treating it like it's 100% canon and that anyone who doesn't view it that way is Wrong is weird. i am getting so tired of the absolutist statements
