It's kinda funny how much my brain feels like it's growing moss every time I put a game or something down to look at Tumblr. Like that's so specific it's like my body is physically trying to tell me to get offline and touch grass and by grass it means repetitive horse game for the DS.

I KNEW YOU IN ANOTHER LIFEᰔ
dp&w!logan howlett x past wife!reader
cw: mostly angst, some fluff, sorta mean logan, cussing.
wc: 800+
a/n: this is inspired by a one-shot I read a while back but I cannot remember who wrote it. If anyone knows, please please please let me know in the comments so I can give them credit <3 update!!! this is it!!
。 ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ 。
The last person you thought you would find here in the void is Logan. There has never been a Wolverine in here. You almost didn't believe it when you found out; needing to see him for yourself. And here he was. Right in front of you, the Logan you grieved all those years ago. The one who stole your heart.
Your Logan.
"And who the fuck are you?" He barked, pushing you away from him.
Those words broke your heart the second they left his lips.
Wade smacks Logan, informing him of your past together. Logan looked like he didn't believe Wade at first. You were way too beautiful for any version of him, Logan thought. What would someone like you want with a man like him?
Tears well up in your eyes as you leave, not wanting it to sting anymore. Laura follows you, glaring at the man who looked like her father. Logan didn't seem to care about the new information, instead reaching for another one of Gambit's bottles.
"I'm sorry, mom," Laura whispers, wrapping her arms around you.
"It's okay, sweetie. I'm not sure what I expected to happen." You sniffle. "He just looks so much like him."
"I know."
Suddenly, Laura stood up and stomped out the door to confront the man who upset her mother. She found Logan sitting outside alone by the fire.
"Look kid, I'm not the man you and your mother think I am." Logan sighs, not even bothering to turn around to check if it's Laura.
"You made her cry," Laura hissed, ignoring his previous comment. Logan looked up at the young girl almost apologetically before shaking his head. "Her Logan would have never made her cry."
Logan felt a sharpness in his stomach at the news. Deep down, he wondered if you two were together at some point. He doubted it though because you looked out of his league. If a past version of him managed to marry you then maybe he did some good during his time.
"If you two haven't noticed, I'm the worst Logan apparently."
"You don't have to be."
It's late when you finally stumble out of bed, not able to sleep. Hours of tossing and turning, trying to get Logan out of your mind. This felt like a cruel joke on your poor heart. You know it's unfair to have him pretend to be your Logan but you desperately wanted it to be him.
All of your memories together haunt your mind like a graveyard. Sweet Sundays spent wrapped in sheets. How he kissed your face every morning, had you wear his dog tags, and ride on the back of his motorcycle. You would give anything to get just one of those moments back.
"What are you doin' awake?"
The voice behind you caused you to jump slightly. A hand coming to rest on your back. You turn around, face-to-face with Logan.
"Can't sleep." You shrugged, opening the freezer to pull out a container of strawberry ice cream.
"That shit won't help you sleep." He grunts, sitting at the table. You ignore his grumpiness and continue scooping the ice cream into a bowl.
"Can we talk?" Logan didn't look you in the eyes as he spoke. Too ashamed of his actions earlier.
"I suppose so." You shrugged, pulling the spoon from between your lips.
"Were we really married?"
You answer by pulling the chain around your neck for him to see. A small diamond ring dangled next to the dog tags he gave you. The moment he saw it, he felt like the biggest asshole who ever lived.
"How many years?" The words stung in his throat.
"Five."
"What was our life like?"
"Perfect." You smile softly down at your bowl. "At least it was to me."
"You did a good job with raising her." He muttered, referring to Laura.
"You would have to."
He's silent for a second, trying to wrap his mind around the idea of being a husband and a father. He wished he knew what it was like to be cared for as much as you cared for your Logan.
"You know, you have the same look in your eyes," Your voice was so quiet, stepping closer to him until you were in front of him.
Logan could see the desperation on your face as you stared at his lips. It would be wrong for him to toy with your widowed heart, but he wanted to be the man you needed. The man you deserved.
"I'm not him, sweetheart," He said, attempting to stop you before you hurt yourself. "And I don't want you to get hurt-"
"Please," You beg, eyes filling up with tears. "I don't care who you are. I just don't want it to hurt anymore."
You were slowly killing him. How could he say no to you? Even if he was the worst Logan, he has a heart. Which is why he lets you close the gap between the two of you. His hands are tangled in your hair while one of yours rests on his jaw before climbing into his lap.
For the first time in years, your heart began beating again. You and Logan could play pretend for now. Neither of you cared what would happen tomorrow, right now was all that mattered.

Excuses
Warnings: Mentions of fainting, diabetes, canon-typical injuries
Summary: You suffer the consequences just because your teacher thought you were making excuses.
A/N: First fic of 2024!!! I had plans that I was going to post weekly in the new year just like last year but things went downhill. This january and february has had its very good but also really bad moments and even writing this was a struggle. I've found myself in a weird place of wanting to write but struggling and all of a sudden not being able to balance my schoolwork and writing. So I took a lil step back to solely focus on my work but looking at everything now, my fic updates will be much less frequent but hopefully just as or if not, more fun to read.
I feel bad for not saying or posting anything since the new year but I'm here now and hopefully will be more alive. I've got lots planned for you beautiful people, several series and way too many fics in my drafts that I cannot wait for you all to read. This wasn't as long or as juicy as I intended but my brain completely failed me so I hope this is good enough. I initially wanted to post this at the beginning of March but I finished the final editing today so here you go!!
Final note before we start, I have general knowledge about diabetes but that's all from my grandma. I have no idea if it's the same for teenagers so I'm sorry for any mistakes. Happy reading!!
Tumblr media
Your biology teacher had been on maternity for three weeks now and you were seriously contemplating life.
Because of the crappy rules surrounding maternity leave, when your teacher refused to return before her three months ended, your school had a supply teacher fill in for her till she came back.
Since day one, you knew you hated her.
It was mid lesson and you knew as soon as you started feeling sluggish that your sugar levels were dropping. Your thoughts were only confirmed when your Dexcom receiver let you know of your decreasing glucose.
This wasn't a usual occurrence. Will and Jay always made sure you had eaten enough and you had the means to maintain the needed glucose levels so that nothing happened.
Alas, you were up late revising and you were stressing about keeping up your good grades. Jay was rushing you out the door because he needed to go to a scene he'd just been called to and Will was out walking Kol and hadn't seen you leave.
In conclusion, it'd been a hot minute since you last ate something.
The school were well aware of your diabetes. It was one of the very important things your brothers stressed them about when you first started.
Most students knew about it actually, having seen your Dexcom and not understanding since a diabetic child apparently wasn't common according to them.
So, when you randomly pulled out a snack from your bag mid class, no one questioned it and instead would make sure you were okay. There'd never been a problem before in school and everyone wanted it to stay that way.
However, this new teacher, Mrs Byrne was apparently completely unaware of your medical condition.
"Y/N. You know the rules about eating in class." She said strictly, pulling away all the attention from the board onto you.
She stopped you in the middle of opening the packet of fruit gummies. You frowned, looking at her confused along with your classmates.
"I have diabetes." You said bluntly, continuing to open the packet. "I don't eat this and I'll pass out."
Mrs Byrne only rolled her eyes, smiling at you condescendingly. "I've heard that excuse hundreds of times, give those to me."
You scoffed at the audacity, refusing to hand over what was yours.
It was when she started walking towards your desk with a pep in her step that the entire class got involved. Their raised voices overlapped, some angrier than others over what was happening.
However, you too were Stubborn alike to your brothers so you kept as firm of a grip of the packet. You turned a blind eye to the anger fuelled cover teacher. You continued to smile as she spewed threats of all sorts.
Due to your frustration and annoyance over the teacher who wanted to take your gummies away, you didn't notice how everything started change; how hard it was to move your eyes and lips, your limbs getting heavier and you thoughts slowly getting muddled up.
Lost in a daze, you were no longer able to fight back when she pulled harder, successfully snatching the small packet out of your hands. It was now that the class got furious, your friends were already up and at your side but now they were verbally attacking the teacher.
Fed up with her petty behaviour, you were going to get up and go to the nurses office who would take care of you but getting out your seat was harder said than done.
With one of your friends help, you weren't too sure who was helping you from your hazy sight that cleared when you blinked too many times.
You were wobbly on your feet, taking slow and hesitant steps towards the front of the classroom but before you could leave, you felt your legs give out and everything went black.
*****
It turned out that supposed crime scene that he was imminently needed at was nothing but a prank by a bunch of college boys resulting in a grumpy Hank putting them in cuffs and having them fined for a very reasonable reason.
That's how the rest of the unit found themselves finishing up paperwork, catching up about life in general as they debated what they were getting for lunch.
Jay was smugly sitting back, eyes flickering between Kevin and Adam who were bickering over something trivial when his phone rung, catching everyone's attention.
They were all so bored and normally when one of their phones went off during work hours, it meant something came up and they were needed.
In interest, everyone turned their heads towards Jay and waited for him to tell them they got a crime scene.
Picking up his phone, Jay's brows furrowed at the number, confused as to why your school was calling him in the middle of the day. They'd only call him if two things happened: You'd gotten in trouble or you got hurt.
"Hello. Is this Y/N Halsteads brother Jay?" A voice he couldn't recognised asked, most likely some lady from the main office.
"Yeah, that's me." Jay confirmed, sitting up in preparation for whatever he was going to be told.
"So sorry to interrupt you sir but Y/N collapsed in class." The lady said with guilt laced in her words. "Your other brother didn't pick up the phone. We called to let you know we had to call the paramedics and they've taken her to Chicago Med."
"Uh yeah." Jay said, collecting his jacket and keys. "Yes, thank you."
Not waiting for a reply, Jay hung up and quickly knocked on Hank's office door frame.
"Sarge, I gotta get Y/N-"
"Go get her. We're done here."
*****
Wanting to pull his hair out, Will rubbed his eyes in frustration, glaring at his patients scans that only confused him further. He was tired and was coming to half way through his twenty four hour shift.
"Dr Halstead- Uh, Dr Rhodes in T4." Maggie stumbled, looking down at her brick and making sure she read it correctly.
"What's wrong?" Will asked, confused as to why Maggie changed her mind which she usually never did.
"It's Y/N."
Now fully awake, Will followed Connor towards the ambulance bay where you were being rolled in. You were groggily sitting up on the stretcher, you hair a mess and a few scratches around your face and hands from when you fell.
"Sylvie, what happened?" Will asked the blonde paramedic while looking you over. He desperately wanted to check you over himself but let Connor do his thing. He really did not need Ms Goodwin on his case today.
"Teachers didn't tell us much but her classmates said she collapsed after not being able to eat." Sylvie relayed the minimal information she knew, shrugging her shoulders when the two doctors looked at her weirdly. "No one would tell us anything more."
"Y/N, it's Connor. Can you hear me kid?" Connor said while pulling out his penlight. He was like another brother to you, his concern just as high. "Can you tell me what happened?"
You groaned, mumbling nonsense with your eyes screwed closed. Your words were mostly unintelligible but Will understood them mere seconds later.
Fixing the problem you complained about, Will turned down the lights and let Connor continue fussing over you.
It didn't take long to find out the cause of your collapse, Will sighing at the news when he read the numbers from your tests.
"I thought she was always on top of her sugar levels." Connor said, closing the room door so you could sleep in peace.
And what he said was completely true but they weren't aware of why you couldn't today specifically of all days.
"She is." Will said, rubbing a hand down his face in frustration. "Maybe her dexcom malfunctioned or something."
Connor hummed, agreeing with his friend.
"Hmm, maybe."
*****
Arriving at Med, Will gave Jay a detailed rundown of everything he new about your medical state but also the events pre your hospital arrival.
Getting a good look at you, holding your hand in his and kissing you on your forehead, Jay was more than happy to leave you in your oldest brothers safe hands while he got to the bottom of this entire ordeal.
He noticed Sylvie was still at Med, Foster mentioning they were running low on a few supplies so they needed some stocking up. Jay took this opportunity to interview the two paramedics and try to get further understanding on this situation that wasn't making much sense to him.
Arriving at your school, Jay had some thoughts in mind but they weren't very concrete and his confidence wasn't as strong as he'd like it to be.
Walking into the school, Jay immediately noticed an entire class sitting and standing around in the corridor waiting in front of the principals office.
One of the girls who had been sitting in a chair had caught sight of Jay, her eyes widening before she smiled, gently nudging the girl next to her and pointing in his direction. The girls reaction was the exact same.
This created a sort of domino effect as the boy next to her noticed Jay and everyone was telling the other of his sudden arrival. The once silent corridor was now beginning to fill with murmurs and whispers, all their eyes glued onto his figure that moved down the corridor, their shocked faces quickly changing into smiles and smirks.
It seems that Jay had a reputation of sorts.
"Why are you making so much noise? What did I just say about talking-"
The principal cut himself off from his scolding when he suddenly noticed Jay's presence, his face blanching as all the pieces clicked into place.
"Detective Halstead! What a surprise, we weren't expecting to see you so soon-"
This time Jay cut him off, not too bothered about his lack manners. "My brothers with Y/N at the hospital so I thought there was no other perfect time."
The principal remained silent.
"Now, why don't you explain to me why my sister fainted under your watch?"
The students behind Jay couldn't help but snicker knowingly.

i can see you - tom riddle x fmc/reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
part II
loosely inspired by "i can see you" by taylor swift.
“I've been watchin' you for ages
And I spend my time tryin' not to feel it”
summary: She had always fancied Tom Riddle. It was an infatuation that bordered on love and obsession, that she had secretly grown and cared for, content with indulging in her fantasies and never bold enough to try and make them become reality.
When she meets him again in her adulthood, dormant longings resurface together with a newfound desire to be the object of his own devotion.
As their paths keep crossing, she starts to think he feels the same.
tags: afab mc, use of female pronouns and no descriptors (i tagged it as x reader because i guess it could be read as such if you use the same pronouns), somewhat period-accurate clothing, courtship (just a little because it's still tom riddle), fmc has a crush on tom, she's a bit anxious, a bit of fluff, explicit sexual desire, vaginal fingering, cunnilingus, vaginal sex, unprotected sex, woman is on top.
please note that mc has a crush on tom, therefore the way she refers to him could sound a bit cheesy and exaggerated. i edited this last night and didn't read it again before posting. i'm sorry for any typos or grammar mistakes i missed.
bear with her in this one, she's a little anxious.
words: 6.7K
you can find part I here, I strongly recommend you read that one first.
this is me crawling out of my hole of shame to post this chapter.
i'm really sorry for this very late update, but the smut chapter is finally here after many days of writing (but still in time for smutober lol).
it's not crazy smut, but i hope it was worth the wait.
Part II: And I could see you up against the wall with me
She tapped her foot, pursing her red lips as she jotted a few numbers down on a parchment. She sighed, taking another folder from the pile on her side and checking if the reports corresponded.
When Serena, her boss, had showed up that morning with two delivery men in tow, she already knew her day was going to take a detestable turn.
Serena had dropped three boxes full of last year's reports in the office and sprinted out of the door before they could say anything and try to stop her.
Apparently she had hired a cheap accountant to save money and now she had to review everything before the Ministry noticed and demanded an audit. Or rather, Serena had asked her to do it.
She was now holed up in the backroom while Will had taken her place in the main office, since Serena didn’t pay her enough to care about customers and save her from bankruptcy at the same time.
She glanced at the clock, noting that it was almost time for her usual break. She chewed the inside of her cheek and returned to the reports.
She wasn’t in the right mindset to meet Tom.
The day she had gone to see him had been like the calm before the literal storm. In the past week it had rained so heavily that she had had to give up on going out and he hadn’t come to post his letters. What had happened between them had been left unresolved.
She had replayed it so many times in her mind, at night and during idle moments in the office, picturing different ways in which it could have ended, desperately wishing she could indulge in his warm lips again.
The first few days she had fretted about it, but as the week had gone by without a word from him, she had just started to accept it as the normal course of things. Perhaps it had just been an extraordinary event, a moment that wasn’t going to repeat itself and that she needed to find contentment in. Perhaps it was supposed to be one of those memories she was going to return to in twenty years, thinking about everything she could have had, or it will sour in her mind, turning into regret while her lamenting soul grieved the possibilities of youth, the chances she had been too scared to take.
It didn’t matter that she was conscious of the anxious butterflies leading her decisions, she still didn’t want to find out if what she saw in him was just a product of her infatuated imagination.
She immersed herself in numbers, refusing to go down that rabbit hole again.
Fifteen minutes after the end of her break, a customer walked in. A beat of silence followed and then Will said, “She’s in the back.”
She almost jumped out of her seat, her heart rate picking up. She quickly smoothed her hair and sat straighter, crossing her legs.
Tom appeared in the doorway, his arm half raised as if he had wanted to knock. She pretended she had just noticed him.
“Good morning,” he said.
“Hello, Tom.” She gave him a mellow smile.
He was so good-looking, with his perfectly styled curls and black coat in the muted light of the cloudy morning. Her heart fluttered painfully.
He looked hesitant as he made his way to her and handed her a folded magazine. It was the weekly crossword.
“Thank you,” she said, taking it as her gaze met his. The way he was looking at her was so compelling it was impossible for her to divert her eyes.
He had been thinking of her, she realised, he had noticed her absence, perhaps even missed her.
“I hope I’m not disrupting your work.” His gaze trailed to the numerous papers scattered on the table.
“Not at all, a distraction is more than welcome.” The distraction of his presence was most desirable.
He drew closer, reading through them as he casually rested his hand on the back of her chair.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“Maths mostly,” she replied, fiddling with the parchments to hide her nervousness.
He reached out over her shoulder to grab a folder but she placed a hand on his arm to stop him.
“I’d rather you didn’t. It’s still work.”
He dropped his arm. “You’re right, I apologise. I don’t wish to put you in an uncomfortable position.”
“It’s fine.”
He stepped to the side, tickling her neck.
“I’ll see you later?” he asked.
She had to stop herself from grinning.
“Of course.”
She watched him with desirous parted lips as he left. He said goodbye to Will and she heard the door closing. It was only a matter of minutes before Will came to pry.
She grabbed the crossword, flipping through the pages. He had bought her her favourite one.
As she got up to put it next to her bag, a small note fell to the ground. It was a plain piece of parchment. But as she picked it up, ready to throw it on the table with the rest of the documents, words started to appear.
Her breath caught in her throat. She knew to whom that elegant and neat handwriting belonged.
She read the note. Then read it again to make sure she wasn’t hallucinating.
“I hope to see you more often in the future.
You look stunning with that lip colour.
T.R.”
She brought her fingers to her mouth, staring at the words until each swirl of ink etched into her mind, terrified they might disappear.
Instead his message remained there, visible, tangible, real. He had taken time to write her a note, to think about something he knew she’d appreciate.
Something warm diffused in her chest, a new version of a familiar feeling, and a giggle escaped her as she realised the ridiculous effect he had on her.
She was so engrossed in her reverie that she didn’t notice Will standing in the door until he cleared his throat.
She quickly hid the message in her purse and  he was so considerate not to comment on it.
“How is it going?” he asked.
“Awfully slowly, these numbers are all over the place,” she huffed, returning to her chair.
He dragged a chair and sat across from her. He started bouncing his knee. “I know you’d prefer not to talk about this, but how are things between you two?”
She stopped twirling her quill. “What do you mean?”
Will shuffled awkwardly in his seat. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for you but I’d hate to see you hurt.”
She tilted her head to the side, disliking the territory the conversation was heading towards.
He was struggling with his words. “He never- I never saw him interested in a girl. I just want to be sure you know what you can expect from him.”
She averted her eyes. “I have considered all the options.”
“And?”
“And I don’t know, Will!” she bursted out.
Her flare of annoyance suddenly deflated, making room for embarrassment for what he probably saw as naivety.
“I know I’m probably getting ahead of myself.”
“You are smart, I just can’t stand watching you smile at the things he writes to you.”
She feigned offence and threw a balled up paper at him.
“When you find someone, you’ll be just as ridiculous.”
He laughed and steepled his fingers in front of him. “I’m curious to know, when did it start?”
She scrunched her eyebrows, thinking about how much she wanted to reveal. “I don’t remember exactly. It was more like a sequence of events, until one day I was anxiously waiting for him to sit at his usual spot at breakfast,” she replied with a smile. Will was smiling too.
“You and half of Hogwarts,” he said.
She chuckled. “I miss those years sometimes. Everything was simpler.”
“I used to worry about everything,” he admitted. “But fears always seem so big.”
They really did.
“What do you like about him?” he asked after a beat of silence.
It was her turn to be at a loss of words. “He’s handsome…and always so mysterious. I think I always liked him because it was easy to imagine him being exactly what I wanted.” She looked at him hesitantly, fearing judgement, but he was just listening. “But I think it’s impossible for me to dislike the real him.”
They shared a small moment of closure. She had always wished for someone she could confide in, someone that could help her see beyond the fabrications of her wary heart, and perhaps she had finally found them.
The bell chimed and Will got up.
“Do you want to come for lunch on Sunday?” she asked.
“I’d love to. I’m sorry for earlier, I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“Don’t worry about it.”
His gaze shifted between the door and her. “Just make sure you both want the same thing.”
He went back, leaving her at the mercy of her insidious brain and foolish heart.
Throughout the afternoon she had opened the note at least three times, giggling like a schoolgirl everytime she read his words.
Her mind kept straying to what he had said.
“I’ll see you later.”
She wasn’t sure what he had actually meant. Was he just going to stop by or was he going to wait for the office to close? She wasn’t even sure she could see him today, since she expected to stay late to solve Serena’s mess.
Will popped in. “I have to check something at the owlery. I’ll be back in a while.”
“Alright, I’ll see you later.”
The door opened and closed and then she was submerged by stillness. It was soothing almost.
She had found out long ago that she enjoyed being alone, it freed her of any kind of expectation.
She turned up the heating with her wand and took off her jacket. Since they couldn’t light a fireplace in a room full of paper, they had refined a spell that kept the room warm and the humidity away.
It was a few minutes after the usual closing hour that the door opened again. She knew who it was.
He walked in, his cheeks slightly flushed from the cold and his lips reddened.
“Are you still working?” he asked.
She nodded. “I’m afraid it’ll take a while before I’m free to go.”
“It’s not a problem,” he said, grabbing her crossword and a quill and sitting down on a chair, bending one leg so that his ankle rested on his other knee.
Her face heated as she watched him but she didn’t say anything.
As she returned to her work, she realised that silence was a strange assistant. It felt like every sound was heightened and she was becoming keenly aware of everything that was happening. The scratching of their quill on parchment, paper being flipped as she checked the numbers or he looked for a crossword he liked, his soft breath threatening to pull her close like a magnet, her absentmindedly chipping her nail polish.
She kept throwing glances in his direction and she could feel his eyes on her from time to time.
An unspoken craving was growing between them again. She had waited long enough.
She slowly got up, gathering her reports and stacking them in a neat pile. She then took them and walked over to the shelves, conveniently passing by Riddle in doing so.
As she stored them, his chair scraped on the ground and she felt him draw closer. She deliberately turned around, meeting his eyes.
His gaze was deep, like he was trying to read every thought that crossed her mind just by looking at her. She wasn’t going to lay them bare for him.
He raised his hand, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Did you get my message?”
“I did,” she replied, stepping forward and trailing her fingers down his suit jacket, feeling the fabric. “You keep mentioning it but this is the first time I’ve seen you all week.”
“It was storming all week,” he pointed out.
She tilted her head, finding his eyes again. His eagerness was palpable. “Still,” she said.
He grabbed her waist, pressing her body flush against his. “And you still haven’t answered my question.”
She had thought about that moment since then.
“Tell me what you desire the most.”
What could she tell him? That she had been pining for him for so long she couldn’t imagine herself with anyone else? That she was jealous of even thinking about him with someone else? Will’s words played in her mind.
She leaned closer, murmuring against his ear. “Not until I know why you’re here, Tom.”
She left a kiss on his jaw, phantom lips brushing against his flawless skin.
“It’s a really uncomplicated answer,” he said, caressing her back.
“Explain it to me, then.”
Tender amusement tugged at the corners of his lips. “Do you really think I came here because I don’t own an owl?”
His words pulled at her heartstrings with raw delight and her mind went blank. Adrenaline was rushing through her as she listened to her impulses. It was enough, at least for now it was enough.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and tangled her hand in his hair, involuntarily tugging at the strands as she leaned closer. She could feel his warm breath as he pulled her in, gripping the silky fabric of her blouse.
She met his lips halfway, the burning touch consuming her as he pressed her against the shelves, one hand lost in her hair, the other splayed around her ribcage.
She bit his lower lip, smiling as it elicited a groan from him and the kiss became more demanding.
It was a moment frozen in time, where she wanted to stay forever, like the scenery in a snowglobe.
“Hello?”
A man’s voice abruptly pulled them apart. She was breathless as she realised she had forgotten to lock the door. Was this a conspiracy?
Tom was slightly panting and she left a small kiss on his neck.
“Don’t leave,” she whispered.
She used a finger to fix her smudged lipstick and went to see who had just dared to interrupt them.
There was a man standing in the office.
“We’re closed,” she said.
“But I saw the light on.”
There was a twitch in her jaw. “We are closed to the public. I must ask you to come tomorrow morning.”
He rolled his eyes and she ignored his grumbling as he left, locking the door behind him. When she went back, Tom was leaning against the table.
He turned his head towards her as she languidly got closer. She forgot pleasantries, immediately grabbing his face to kiss him again. He was quick to react, wrapping his arms around her.
His mouth trailed down, kissing her cheek, her jaw and then pressing against her neck, soft lips and the occasional scrape of his teeth.
He grabbed her waist and spun her around, flattening her back against his chest and brushing her hair away from her neck to bite and lick her skin. His hands travelled down and he started gathering the fabric of her skirt.
Merlin, it was finally happening.
He caressed her inner thigh, tracing patterns and snapping the nylon of her stockings as his fingers moved excruciatingly slow.
Finally he pulled her underwear to the side, feeling the wetness between her folds with his fingers as his other hand cupped her breast.
She threw her head back against his shoulder as he stroked her clit, eliciting a sigh out of her, and she grabbed his thigh for support.
“I won’t drop you,” he murmured, amused, against her ear. He rubbed his palm over her clothed breast, the friction causing sparks to jolt through her body.
None of her fantasies came even close to what she was feeling right now.
“Should I trust you?” she asked, biting her lip to suppress a moan as he sunk one finger inside of her, his thumb still applying pressure on her clit.
“Such a great timing to ask me that,” he replied. She felt him smile on her skin.
“We don’t really know each other, Tom.” She dug her fingers into his flesh as he slipped in a second finger and started fingering her, stretching her as pleasure morphed her features.
“And yet you are letting me do this.” He squeezed her breast, lewd wet sounds filling the room as he kept moving his fingers inside of her.
She leaned her body weight completely on him, her legs unsteady as it was precarious the beating of her heart.
He let out a low moan as she yanked his hair to catch his mouth, biting his lip hard to gain better access, their tongues tangling together.
He curled his fingers inside of her, an unrelenting wave of pleasure washing over her.
She stopped to imagine what it would be like if he dropped to his knees again, if he started kissing and licking her, if she could watch him at her mercy between her legs.
She realised in that moment that the fall down the precipice was inevitable. Tom had threatened to push her but she had allowed him to succeed, jumping into an abyss that felt unending but that could only allow two conclusions to her story.
What she had told Will was true. She loved the fantasy, all the glances, conversations, gestures that had never happened, that she had delighted herself with when the reality was harsher, but as she kissed him she knew that falling for the real Tom was unavoidable. Not if he kept touching her like that.
It was bound to happen, it was part of her story, the decision she was brave enough to take.
She focused on him, on the circles his thumb was drawing on her clit, on the indecent sounds falling from her lips, on his groans on her reddened skin, on him growing harder against her back.
He pulled her hair back, tilting her head to meet her gaze. His eyes glimmered with rapture while hers were heavy-lidded, tension building inside of her.
He didn’t take his eyes off of her, as if he wanted to memorise each detail of her, the way she looked at him, the way her lips parted slightly and the way she panted as she was nearing her orgasm.
“Just like that, darling,” he murmured, a pleased smile on his lips as he noticed she was still blushing.
She threw her head back, losing herself in the motion of his fingers, surrendering herself as blissed moans spilled out shamelessly. She squeezed his soaked fingers, and he kept moving, stroking her throughout her climax.
She panted, coming down from her apex in a flurry of emotions and flustered thoughts. He raised his wet fingers to her lips and she opened her mouth, tasting herself on her tongue as she sucked on them, never breaking eye contact.
“Good girl,” he said, holding her jaw and kissing her.
It was a slow kiss, meant to explore her depths in a different way from the breathless and unrestrained passion from before. She leaned into his palm, her hand closing around his wrist.
His arms snaked around her waist and he turned them around, pushing under her thighs to lift her on the table.
The kiss transformed again.
Teeth and tongues met with vehemence, burning urgency guiding their movements as he brought her legs around his waist and she quickly started to unbutton her blouse.
But at the third button, she stopped.
Tom noticed the shift in her demeanour and drew back, observing her. Her eyes flew to the clock, as she had just remembered about Will.
She noticed with disappointment that they had no time.
“What is it?” he asked. She didn’t miss the urgent tone of his question.
“Will will be back any time now,” she replied, leaving a peck on his lips.
He cleared his throat and stepped back, composing himself. She got off the table and
cool hands unexpectedly reached her again, adjusting her clothes and stockings. She shivered at the contact.
He smoothed her skirt and put his coat back on, watching her as she scribbled something on a piece of paper and gave it to him.
“If you want to stop by one of these days.”
“I remember where you live,” he replied, reading the address she had written down.
She shrugged, holding out one finger to wipe away the lipstick at the corner of his mouth.
“Do you have to go back to work?”
“I was supposed to meet with a potential supplier, so yes.”
“I’d stop by the bathroom before,” she advised, gesturing for him to go as she herself needed to compose herself again.
She braced herself against the threshold, leaning her head on the hard wood as she watched him unlock the door and leave.
Then she was alone, finally finding an answer in the cluster of hypotheses that had tormented her mind.
Two days later, as she was returning from her meeting with Serena, she found Tom waiting for her.
He was talking to Will and they both turned to her as she entered, feeling tremendously self-conscious.
“How is Serena?” Will asked.
“Dim-witted as always,” she replied, earning a laugh from Will.
Her eyes trailed to Riddle, holding an unspoken question.
Will seemed to notice because he stepped forwards.
“It’s quite late, you can go if you want, I’ll close.”
Tom didn’t wait for him to repeat himself, pushing down the handle and holding the door open for her.
She mouthed a ‘thank you’ to him and followed Tom outside. Once in the street, she huddled herself in her coat and took the arm he was offering her.
“May I walk you home?” he asked.
“Of course,” she said, a little breathy, still not immune to the chivalrous manners he always had with her.
They strolled through the streets, passing by scarcer and scarcer people as the stores emptied and everyone returned home seeking a tranquil evening.
She held his arm tightly, her fingers tracing delicate patterns on the fabric of his coat.
The first time they had walked together it had felt like an accident, a singular mistake in the already waved threads of her life. This time, she yearned for so much more than she wanted for the error to repeat itself; she was willing to cut the strings herself and tie them back together, as messy as it might have looked.
They crossed the road and he gently put a hand on her waist, pushing her away from the pavement.
“Would you fancy dinner?” he asked. There was a foreign quality in his voice and when she turned to look at him, he averted his eyes. She blinked bewildered. Was he nervous?
“I’d love to,” she replied and she noticed his chest rising like he had just begun breathing again. “But not tonight.”
An almost imperceptible smile cleared his expression at her answer and she leaned her head on his shoulder, basking in his mere presence.
When they reached her front door, she looked for her keys with embarrassingly clammy hands.
As she lifted her head to ask Tom if he wanted to stay, she found his eyes impatiently boring into her bag.
“Would you-”
His gaze snapped to her, serious and scorching. “Don’t even ask.”
Something coiled between her legs at the way he was looking at her. She nodded and walked up the few stairs to her door, unlocking it.
“Second floor,” she said, more to fill the silence than anything else.
They stepped into the building, the sound of her heels and the soles of his shoes hitting the stone ricocheting through the empty hall.
She turned to gesture to him to follow her when he grabbed her face, kissing her as he pushed her against the wall by the foot of the stairs. Her hands tangled in his hair, tugging at it just as she suspected he loved by the way he always pressed himself harder against her.
He curved his palm around her cheek, better angling her face as their tongues met.
“I have a nosy neighbour,” she said after they pulled apart to catch their breath. “She is probably spying on us through her peephole.”
Tom didn’t think twice about it, taking her hand and leading her up to the second floor. She stifled a laugh as she unlocked the door, Tom’s lips skimming against her neck as she did, and was left breathless when he closed it unceremoniously behind them, resuming from where they had been interrupted.
As she dropped her bag and grabbed his waist, walking backwards into her living room, she remembered there were clothes somewhere - perhaps in the bathroom but she wasn’t sure - that she had forgotten to put away yesterday.
In any case, Tom didn’t look particularly interested in how tidy she was.
They quickly took off each other's coats and discarded them on the floor.
He sat on her sofa, pulling her down with him.
She was straddling him, her knees digging into the plush cushions as his hands appreciatively caressed her back, moving up and down and occasionally squeezing. She lit the fireplace with a wave of her hand.
She rocked her hips, rubbing against him and eliciting a long awaited moan from him. She grabbed the collar of his shirt, their lips collading so hard she was sure she cut him.
She helped him out of his jacket and vest and undid his tie, smoothing her hands on his white button-down.
“I’ve waited too long,” she said, quickly unbuttoning his shirt and grinding against him. Her hands disappeared under his undershirt and ran over his pale chest, lightly scratching his skin.
“Slowly, my dear. We will get there,” he replied between kisses.
His palms kept tracing her thighs and his face buried in her neck, nibbling at the thin skin.
When she was a small girl, before she discovered sex, Tom Riddle was just a boy she liked. During puberty, sharing stories and questions with her friends, she started to understand what was the sensation that passed through her everytime she was close to him, the one that made her cheeks redden and her mind go somewhere she wasn’t yet comfortable with.
As an adult, sexual relations weren’t unfamiliar to her, but this carnal longing, the need of a physicality that went beyond her skin touching his, was.
He opened her blouse, revealing her silk slip and bra underneath.
She wanted to touch his soul, to hold it and comprehend it.
Her eyes fell on the tattoo on his forearm, black tendrils of ink in the shape of a serpent slithering out of a skull.
“Does this have a meaning?” she asked.
He followed her gaze, blinking surprised at her question. “It does.”
“Am I prying too much if I say I’m curious to learn it?”
He bit his lip, opening and closing his fist as if he was scrambling for words. Or perhaps he was just determining if he could trust her.
“It’s a reinterpretation of the ouroboros, the snake eating its own tail,” he finally said. “It symbolises eternity and the renewal of the being after rebirth.”
She traced her fingers on his skin, following the outline of the snake. “And what does your interpretation mean?”
“There is time to talk about it later,” he whispered, his teeth biting her neck and sinking lower, kissing her collarbone and her sternum, moving the fabric covering her breasts to the side.
She let go of the subject. She knew what it meant not being comfortable sharing your life.
He held one breast between his fingers, latching his mouth over the other, sucking her nipple and twirling his tongue around it.
She moaned, rolling her hips faster as he revered her bosom, the cold air hitting her moist skin and making her shiver as he took her other nipple in his mouth, lightly tugging at it until she reached the point where pleasure and discomfort mixed.
“Since we are in the mood for confessions…” she said between moans. He raised his head and looked at her waiting for her to continue. She hesitated, collecting all her courage.
“Why did you pursue me?”
His eyes softened, glimmering with fondness. He brushed a strand of hair away from her face.
“Because there is something extremely valuable in your devotion.” His voice was an intimate murmur, a confession no one else could hear.
She freezed, turning her head to the side to hide her mortification.
He took her chin, searching for her eyes until she finally gave in.
“Don’t be embarrassed, darling, I respect it, I understand it. Obsession keeps us alive, it’s what drives us.”
She swallowed the lump of embarrassment in her throat. “Do you enjoy it?”
“Being the object of the desire of such a woman? Of a witch? I do,” he replied, and he was so direct and earnest that her heart swelled.
He lifted her to sit on the sofa, sliding down on his knees on the floor and taking off his shirt and vest. She remained silent as he rolled down her tights, his lips gliding down her smooth skin. He unbuttoned her skirt and helped her out of it, tracing patterns on her inner thigh as his other hand felt her damp underwear.
She tensed, something tightening in her lower abdomen and her eyes fell down to his trousers.
He kissed the crease of the thigh, like he had done that one time at Borgin and Burkes, but this time she wasn’t letting anyone interrupt them.
He took off her underwear, his movements deliberately slow, and kissed her everywhere, except there.
His lips felt hot on her skin, searing her flesh like she had often dreamed about, carving his way into her body the same way he had done with her mind and heart, until her entire soul was consumed by him, until he could finally close that fist and feel her in a way nobody had before.
Her breath hitched as he delicately kissed her mound, spreading her legs apart. She leaned her head against the backrest, licking her lips with anticipation, and she couldn’t contain a whimper as he felt his tongue dragging down her slit, sweet and cruel.
He took her clit in his mouth, sucking on it as his hand splayed on her abdomen to keep her still.
She squeezed her eyes shut, overwhelmed.
“Look at me, darling,” he murmured against her folds. His breath was warm and pleasant.
She obliged, meeting his devilish grinning figure between her legs. She was incapable of looking away as he resumed his work, she didn’t want to look away. She wanted to watch him, finally allowing herself to fully indulge in him, in what he wished to do for her.
She observed his curved eyelashes, the way his perceptive eyes followed her reactions, refining his movements to please her better.
He sucked her labia and she moaned loudly, the idea of him enjoying this as much as her being exhilarating.
He threw her leg on his shoulder, resulting in her figure sliding down the cushions and him gaining better access to her.
His tongue probed her entrance as he coated his fingers in her wetness. He slipped one finger in, working her thoroughly as she gripped his hair, keeping his head in place.
He inserted a second finger, his tongue on her clit moving accordingly to the delighted sounds she emitted.
“Tom,” she cried urgently as she tried to press herself harder against him.
He curled his fingers inside of her and her hips jolted upwards, arching her back to an uncomfortable angle as she reached her orgasm with lascivious bliss, her obscene moans matching the wet sounds he produced by licking her until she came down from her climax.
“Tom,” she said again, so breathless her voice was a raspy whisper.
“I know,” he said, kissing her leg and inhaling deeply, like he was trying to commit the moment to memory.
He brought his fingers to his mouth, licking them clean as she let her watch.
She gently pushed him onto the carpet, bracing her hands on his shoulder as she sat on top of him. The fire was burning, enveloping their almost naked figures in warm orange light, heating their already scalding skin.
She took off her blouse with quivery hands, his gaze tracing her naked form that was slowly revealing itself. She hooked her fingers into the straps of her slip, pulling it down and then getting rid of it altogether. His hands on her waist tensed as she did the same for her bra.
Her lips parted as he touched her breast with both hands, kneading the soft flesh, tracing her areolae.
She undid his trousers, pulling down the fabric until they were both completely naked. She took him in her hand, her fingers closing tentatively around him. Her hand started sliding up and down, her pace getting quicker and more confident as moans escaped him. She brushed her thumb on his tip, her eyes admiring what was in front of her. His lips were swollen, residue of her lipstick still on them, his hair was tousled, curls falling disorderly on his forehead, his eyes heavy-lidded as he looked at her. She felt a rush of satisfaction in knowing his current state was her doing, that she had enough power over him to ruin his flawless exterior, to make him want her to do it.
His lips caught hers and he gently pushed her hand away.
What happened after felt like rehearsed choreography, something so familiar it was impossible to forget. Their bodies moved together, their movements responsive to each other, doing and touching exactly where it mattered.
She pushed herself up on her knees, slowly lowering herself until she sank down on him completely, shuddering breaths escaping her lips.
His jaw was tense as she placed a hand on his shoulder for support, positioning herself better.
She didn’t break eye contact as she rolled her hips, soaking in the hazy blue of his eyes, in every twitch of his jaw and emotion he was feeling as she increased her pace, in his voice murmuring her name against her ear as his hands squeezed her tights and traced her back.
Skin slapped against skin, his touch inebriating as he felt every part of her, caressing her, massaging her, kissing her until she couldn’t take it anymore. Almost.
His hand dipped between her legs again, stroking her clit as she rocked her hips, eliciting groans from both of them.
Sentiment and pleasure fused together in an exhilarating moment, seared in her mind and flesh forever.
She kissed him again - she could never get tired of that - and bit his lower lip roughly as his other hand went to her breast again, pulling at her nipple.
She threw her head back, letting his mouth scrape over her neck and chest, leaving behind scorching wet kisses. Or perhaps those were marks reddening her skin, she didn’t particularly care.
He gripped her waist, thrusting upwards as she held onto him tighter. Her nails drew half-moons into his back and she bit his neck, the fibres of the carpet scratching her knees.
The lights in the flat fluttered momentarily.
His fingers increased the pressure on her clit as his thrusts grew in intensity with one purpose in mind.
She bit her lip, trying to hold back, to prolong this instant of pure bliss before she inevitably plummeted onto the other side.
She arched her back, moving accordingly to his rhythm, her hips bucking erratic as she rubbed against his pelvis.
And then she fell down, unrestrained, her walls closing around him as she moaned uncontrollably. He didn’t stop, drawing circles on her sensitive skin until her breath found a semblance of steadiness again.
“You did so good,” he whispered against her forehead, brushing a strand of sweaty hair away.
She slumped against him, her hands grabbing onto his biceps as he chased his own pleasure, his movements turning frantic, losing his rhythm.
She found herself murmuring against his skin the same things she had never had the courage to say out loud, not even to herself. She wasn’t sure he was even listening to her, engrossed as he was, but it didn’t matter.
He squeezed her tights once and she understood, rolling to the side as he deftly touched himself, fast strokes that culminated in white spurts all over his hand. She watched him mesmerised
He turned to look at her, his chest rising and falling rapidly. The fire casted shadows on his gorgeous face.
They stayed like that for a long moment, gazing into each other, trying to guess what the other was thinking, making sense of what remained of themselves after what had just happened.
Did it have the same momentous effect on both of them? Or was it just her that knew she couldn’t go back to being acquaintances after this?
“Do you want to stay here tonight?” she asked. Her voice sounded faint and husky to her own ears.
“I do,” he replied without a second of hesitation.
They didn’t get up, instead resting against the foot of her sofa. She curled up against him as his hand traced indistinct patterns on her skin, remaining in this haze of indiscernible unspoken feelings they were both still trying to find a name for.
When she woke up the next morning he was gone. As she took in the cold sheets and missing clothes, her heart threatened to crack.
She got up groggily, conclusions already forming in her mind, building the most pessimistic of pictures.
She felt anxious as she wore her robe and opened the door, heading straight for the bathroom. Halfway down the corridor, the sound of someone flipping through a newspaper halted her in her steps.
She stepped into the kitchen, finding Tom sitting in a chair with his legs crossed.
“Good morning,” he said.
“Good morning,” she said back, adjusting the belt of her robe.
She noticed he had made breakfast, a steaming coffee pot, kept warm by magic, and some pastries she had never bought waiting for her on the table.
She turned to take a mug from a cabinet so that she could hide her smitten smile. When she closed the cabinet, she found him looking at her.
There was no need for words.
“Where did you get that?” she asked as she poured herself some coffee, referring to the newspaper.
“I stole it from your neighbour, I hope she won’t mind.”
She laughed. “So you know how to make a joke.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
She sat next to him, crossing her legs. She perhaps needed to rethink her choice of slippers.
“You were always so serious growing up.”
She put a spoonful of sugar in her coffee.
“That never seemed to deter you.”
“It doesn’t.”
He took a sip of his own coffee. “Good.”
“Does it deter you, knowing how I feel?”
He blinked. “It never had. It makes it more interesting if I have to be honest.”
She blushed, scared to ask the next question.
“How long have you known?”
He got up, brushing his knuckles on her cheek.
“Long enough to see you for who you truly are.”
He bent to give her a chaste kiss. “I should go, the shop opens in half an hour.”
He put on his coat and grabbed his leather gloves from his pocket. She turned in her chair, treasuring the last few moments of him in her apartment.
“There’s still a lot you haven’t learned yet.”
She refused to be an open book to him. There was so much about her that was still incomprehensible even to her and too much she wanted to show him on her own terms. She wanted to be enigmatic, to drive him mad.
“I know.”
Her disappointment was visible on her face as she was met with his silence. She had wanted to continue that conversation, to learn what he had observed.
Instead he opened her front door, throwing her one last glance, heavy with unsaid intention she hoped she wasn’t imagining, before leaving.
She had almost finished her breakfast when she noticed a small note under the newspaper he had left behind. She grabbed it faster than she was willing to admit, almost knocking over her cup in the process, and unfolded it.
“Dinner tonight?
I’ll pick you up at eight.
T.R.”
the last part is a bonus scene i wanted to write to apologize for my tardiness. tom is a little different, but I hope he isn't too out of character.
i honestly had so much fun writing this short story and exploring a different tom from the one i usually read and write about. i hope you enjoyed this and thank you for reading!

Calling of the Souls ~ Poly!LostBoys X Fem!Reader Part 9
Word Count: 1,349
A/N: I... honestly have no excuse. I was overwhelmed. Sorry.
Tumblr media
Silence. Too long of a silence. So long of a silence that it felt like there was a mounting pressure for someone to say something. Anything. Everyone's eyes filled with an eager anticipation. It felt like it was nearly an entire year since anything was last said.
Finally, at long last, like a dam that had held back far too much water, there was a burst.
"Well?" David inquired, his tone of voice filled with a hint of the impatience that he was feeling from the building suspense. Who could really blame him? So many had been left in waiting. It was cruel to make them wait for so long.
Y/N snapped out of her dozed out state, glancing up and around the seating area of the once great and grand hotel. Her eyes meeting the others who were looking back at her, waiting for her to finally update them on what was going on. "What?" She asked having been daydreaming for some time.
"What do you mean, what? You said that you would explain when we got here." Paul asked in a lighthearted but teasing tone of voice.
"Oh my gosh, I did!" Y/N said as her eyes widened and lit up as it all came crashing back into her mind. She sat up straight as if ready to tell them a great tale and fill their mind with ancient lore. Even if some things were still unknown even to her because Tyr had kept her in the dark about many things.
Tumblr media
"You had said… that you were a demon, like Tyr?" Dwayne asked as he was trying to get the ball rolling since it seemed like no one really seemed to know where to start.
"No." Tyr said to Dwayne, Y/N assumed that he had been just trying to shut down the conversation so she continued.
"When I was young, I had met Tyr who had started to help keep me safe. Protect me from the world. It must have been hard for him to take care of someone so young. It would not be a lie to say that he practically raised me." Y/N said to them all. "He is a demon too. He found me, a young demon and decided to show some mercy and help me survive in the world. I didn't really have a horde to help raise me. I had been among the mortal humans ever since I could remember. But I didn't quite belong with them."
With the words now out there and in the open, Tyr was glaring daggers at Y/N but she shrugged them off. Not wanting to entertain his apparent tantrum. If these were her soulmates then she would be open and honest with them. There would be no good in secrets being kept among them.
Tumblr media
Though when these words were said it seemed that Michael, who had come in to the conversation rather late now looked nearly mortified. "Demon? You're joking right? Vampires, Demons… what's next? Witches and Werewolves?"
Tyr finally stopped glaring when that was brought up and couldn't help but snort out a laugh at that question. "Damn you really are as ignorant of humans as they come, halfling. Of course there are witches and werewolves in the world."
Michael had fallen silent when he was told about that. His eyes wide and his lip lifted as if in disgust. It was honestly a little offensive to have him react like that. Y/N rolled her eyes a bit at him. "Michael, you are now a part of a world that others could only ever dream of. You have a chance to live in immortality, see all that the world has to offer, have a power that would help you in all that you may need. Strength to protect those that you love from things that you never knew were a reality before. I know you are struggling with being half a vampire now, but think this carefully. Would you rather return to being human and being vulnerable to the dangers? Or would you rather join something that would give not only you power, but the strength of a family that also has that power?"
It was finally put in a manner that Michael had never thought about before. It would give him the ability to protect his family. To be there with his family, make sure they were safe. He hesitated to answer but no one pushed him to answer the question. Letting him have the time to think the question through and let the new reality he was a part of sink into his mind.
Y/N turned her attention back to Marko, David, Paul and Dwayne and sighed. "I am sorry I kept it a secret for so long but you have to admit that you have been keeping a secret from me too that is just as big and you cannot be angry with me because of it." She said to them because though she knew she shouldn't have kept such a big secret, if she had been the only one with just as big of a secret, then she would have known she was entirely at fault.
Tumblr media
"You do make a fair point…" David acknowledged, even he could not make a big deal about something like this when it was very clear that they had all had secrets that had been vital to the futures of their lives if they were to intertwine them. "We aren't angry, we were worried that you would have not drank from the bottle.. Because if you didn't then we would have had to find a way to get you to become immortal in one form or another. If you already have that, then there isn't really much that we have to worry about. But I do want to know, if he raised you then why is he still sticking by your side when you're not a child anymore?"
"Because she doesn't have full access to her abilities and there are things that she needs help with." Tyr hissed to David, not liking the fact that David seemed to be questioning why Tyr was still around. "She still needs to be kept safe and she is my best friend so I will not leave her side."
It was heartwarming to hear it. Tyr had been such a vital part of Y/N's life that she really didn't think that she would be happy to live in a world that he was not a part of. Tyr was much too important to her. "You're my best friend too." She whispered to Tyr with a small smile on her lips.
So here we all were, secrets out in the open. Everyone trying to understand what was happening. Though the Four vampires did know that witches and werewolves existed, the existence of demons was unknown even to them. David's mind was reeling in an attempt to try to remember if Max had ever told him about demons even once. Nothing came to mind.
Michael was still trying to cope with vampires, now he had a lot more on his plate, and on top of that, now he had to figure out if he even wanted to be human again when there was so much in the world that easily could prey on humans. Would he be left open to these potential dangers? Yes he would. These were the type of things that he would have to live with for the rest of his life, no matter which choice he made. The options were far too much and each and every one of them had dangers that he would never be able to come to full terms with. However; if he chose to live the life as a vampire then at least he would be able to have the tools he needed to stand a higher chance of living. There would be more opportunities in the world if he chose that path, and at that moment, he was becoming the best choice to make.

It had been a few months since you last seen König; apparently this mission he was on was a very important one and his superiors were drilling him about how he couldn't mess up blah blah blah....thats what he had told you before he left. Now it's been 3 months, and you received message from him that he'd be back today! You were so excited, you started preparing an exquisite dinner and cleaned up your shared home so it would be perfect when he came back.
Your heart pounded in anticipation at the telltale sign of your husband at the front door; the familiar twist and turn of the doorknob. After a few minutes of waiting, your long anticipated arrival of your husband came through the door. The only problem is, he seemed to be fuming about something. That was when you knew, you were in for a long night.
° ° °
His hands reach back down to slap your bouncy ass as he sheaths you down again on his cock. "Fucking whore, taking me like a good little slut" König rasps, as he keeps using his weight to trap you under him. He's spearing into you at a rapid pace, causing your whole body to bounce against him and the bed to creek. You don't know how long you've let him use your body like a sex doll; ever since he came through that door fuming, telling you how stressful he was on that mission, and how much he missed you. You agreed to let him use you for relief as your need for him was equally insatiable.
"K-könig! I'm your little slut so please fuck me more!" Snarling, König picked you up by your legs and hoisted your body up. Your back was against his chest, his hands behind your knees, and your feet in the air. He kept furiously pumping into you, each thrust sending shockwaves of pleasure throughout your body; making you moan and roll your eyes back. "Fuck...yeah maus, you'd like me to fuck you all night huh? Fuck you until you're round and full with my babies?" The lewd slapping of your ass against his pelvis echoed through the room. "Y-es König! Breed me like a mommy!" His pace quickened, his end goal was to make you cum as many times as possible. "Good mommy, you'll come as many times as I want you to, yeah?" His large hand which easily dwarfed your own, reached over to rub fast circles on your overstimulated clit. Squealing, you tried to move away from his hand, but his body was too strong for you to move around much, and his grip was iron tight. You felt your body convulse as another wave of orgasm rushed through you. Your aching pussy
Your pussy squeezed his cock so tight as you came; making him moan and roll back his eyes as he fucked you through your 5th orgasm that night. You could tell he was close too by the way he moved, hips fast but stuttering. "M-maus I'm so fucking close...pl-please please let me cum..M'gonnna make you a mutter -" all you could do was nod your head feverishly and scream out his name. With a stutter of his hips, he rammed himself into you as deep as he could. You felt him hit your cervix, white hot cum spilling into your precious womb. "Ah - König!" You felt the cum start dribbling out, leaking onto your pussy and ass.
König was still thrusting lazily as he fucked out the last of his orgasm. "Liebling...Fuck" His breathing heavy labored, he gently laid you down on the bed and flopped on you. "Mein got, you were amazing engel, you were an amazing little mutter for me". You were still catching your breathe, but you turned your head to look at him; "you want to make me a mommy that bad König?" You smiled at him, high from the after glow of your multiple orgasms. "Of course liebling, there is no one else I'd rather marry and have children with." That made your cheeks light up. "That...makes me so happy König! There's no one else I'd rather spend my life with and have children except than you". You both grinned at each other, König pulling you close to his body as his arms hug you into a cuddle. "Good, Liebling...you are the best thing that's ever happend to me". You smiled in his arms, content to fall asleep.
Hello Hello! Hope you enjoy it, and I'm sorry for such a late update. Have a great day! 💐💖

accidentally outing themselves on live tv? dunno how or if anyone else at sky knows but it’s something they’d do providing some images from the carraville discord that we were talking about yesterday
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
god they WOULD end up accidentally outing themselves bc they already can't keep their hands to themselves imagine how much worse they would be.......... I shudder to think............
---
“I’m here pitchside with Gary Neville –“
“—Carragher were meant to be joinin’ us, but he’s late getting up from London.”
“Yes, quite. I’m sure he’ll be arriving soon. In the meantime – Gary, what are your thoughts on United’s starting line-up tonight?”
*
Gary is nodding along to something Kelly is saying when his attention suddenly shifts to something off camera. He rolls his eyes as Jamie comes crashing in, bag slid halfway down his shoulders, seemingly unaware of the producer holding his earpiece who’s trying to get his attention.
“Sorry, love,” he says as he hurries up to Gary, immediately stepping into his personal space. He ducks his head down to press their lips together in a quick greeting before he continues, “there was a crash on the M6 or summat, a whole section of the road was closed off. Bloody nightmare, I’m tellin’ ya.”
As he talks, he doesn’t seem to notice Gary’s wide eyed stare, the blush rising in his cheeks, or Kelly clamping a hand to her mouth while her shoulders shake in laughter.
Gary tries his best to compose himself and turns to the camera with an expression caught between terror and amusement, and he says “well, now that Jamie’s very kindly provided us all with a traffic update I think it’s time for us to hear from our colleagues in the studio.” When the light of the camera turns off, he reaches out to give Jamie a slap round the back of the head and hisses “live television, James, how many years’ve you been doin’ this again?”
“Wha?” Jamie looks over, already surrounded by a small hoard of tech people and a make-up artists trying to get him camera ready as quickly as they can.
“Oh my God,” Gary mutters, pinching his brow. “Jamie, you dolt, you just kissed me in front of our live audience of what – a million people?”
“I never,” Jamie says with an offended glare, far too confident for someone who definitely fucking did.
“Oh my God,” Gary repeats. “You don’t believe me? Check your fucking phone.”
*
“You don’t even get Sky Sports in America, Philip, how have you already seen it?”
“Tray sent it to me, it’s all over Twitter.”
“Oh, well that’s just great then in’t it?” Gary huffs. At Jamie’s questioning look, he repeats “it’s all over Twitter, apparently.”
For a moment Jamie looks almost proud that he’s a trending topic, but he shuts his expression down when he sees Gary’s glare and turns back to his own phone call (“no, Ma, I –”)
“I just don’t understand why you didn’t tell me, Gaz,” Philip whines down the phone. “I tell you everythin’”
“An’ I keep askin’ you not to tell me everythin’! Isn’t a man entitled to a little privacy?”
*

Yessss!!! I love love love the newest chapter with Jeff! I feel like he was the perfect one to approach Steve, I’m so glad that Steve knows that he wasn’t the only one seeing that he and Eddie were dating.
Melvald’s was the perfect neutral territory for it to happen, too. Steve wouldn’t retreat in public so that was the perfect place for Jeff to sneak up on him. I hope they have a little baseball/hockey date with the rest of the Corroded Coffin boys sans Eddie, I just want them to also be friends with Steve.
Also, even if Robin doesn’t feature in the chapters I’d love to know how she reacts in your mind to first, Steve’s conversation with Eddie and second, the Melvald’s conversation. I’m sure she has so many opinions on both!
The best parts of my days are when I get the notification that you’ve posted a new chapter, thank you so much! 💖💖
Okay, sorry, I've been sitting on this until posting today's update (and also because I was thinking), but see-
Robin's been at work for maybe two hours when Steve pulls up. When he comes into the store, she tries to joke that she knows he said he'd be back to pick her up, but her shift doesn't end for another six hours, and he gives her a little smile, but she can tell he's upset
(Not as upset as the last few days, but definitely a bit shaken up)
He says he's just going to sit in the break room for a bit. He doesn't really want to bother her, he just wants to know she's nearby. Of course, there's a zero percent chance Robin isn't going to abandon the counter to check on Steve (it's a weekday morning, who the hell is going to come rent a movie now?), and she follows him back to ask what happened
(She's spent the last two days with him, in spite of his insistence yesterday that he was fine. She thinks they were supposed to be having "space" today, but she doesn't feel like she needs it. She's fine being attached at the hip if Steve is)
Steve tells her that he'd gone to pick up his stuff from Eddie's place, and after her flurry of offended questions about why he hadn't waited for her, she demands to know what Eddie's done now
Apparently, he wants to make things up to Steve. Wants a second chance if Steve is willing. Wants to romance Steve (Robin snorts at that, and Steve cracks a smile, too). Robin insists that isn't good enough. It's too little, too late. But Steve-
She knows that look on his face. She knows Steve
"You're considering it," she says
Steve shrugs. "It's not like he did this on purpose. He wasn't trying to, like... hurt me, or whatever."
"He wasn't not trying, either." Robin scowls
Steve shrugs again. "I can't make him suffer forever."
"It's been two days, Steve."
"I asked him to think about it for a couple of weeks. Just... be sure about it, y'know?"
Robin sighs. She guesses that's better than immediately folding and saying yes. She knows boundaries are hard for Steve, especially when it comes to the people he cares about; giving them deadlines is easier than giving them hard limits. It's... an improvement, even if she doesn't like it
"You don't have to give him a second chance, you know. I know you feel like you screwed up, too, but you don't owe him anything," Robin reminds him
"I know," Steve says, but she wonders if he really does. "Anyway, I'd feel like a hypocrite if I didn't hear him out, y'know?"
"What do you mean?" Robin asks
Steve gives her a tired little smile. "You guys all gave me a second chance. It would kind of suck if I didn't do the same for someone else."
Robin knows then that Steve is going to say yes to Eddie. She won't be able to talk him out of it; she can only hope she won't have to pick up the pieces again at the end

Whumpee intro: Jordyn's Training - 1
prev/next
masterlist
heyo ik I said the updates for this would take a while but I wanted to get this out quickly so there was some actual whump to sink your teeth into for the story. the 'Jordyn's Training' arc was meant to just be one thing but this first section absolutely ballooned way bigger than I thought it would (just over 2k words) so it will most likely be a 4-parter
Anyway this series actually has a name now! it is Project Genesis, courtesy of my brain in the shower this morning; the birthplace of many great ideas.
Lemme know if you wanna be added to the tag list btw! chapter begins below the cut :3
CWs: broken bones, whipping, emotional manipulation, vomiting, blood, meal restrictions, mentions of recovery, female whumpee, male whumper, superpowered whumpee
(let me know if I need to CW anything else I forgot about!)
Jordyn's Training, part 1: The First Mistake
3 MONTHS AFTER WAKING
The obstacle course stretched out before me, vast and daunting. It wasn’t anything I hadn’t done before, but the fast-spinning metal poles and swinging wrecking balls never failed to make me anxious before I threw myself in for another go. I’d been hit by them more than enough to know how much they hurt. Still, this sort of training was necessary for my rehabilitation, so I steeled myself and prepared to do another run-through, aiming to beat my personal best under Father’s watchful eye.
It had been three months since I woke up in that room, cold and confused, lashing out at anything that moved. If not for Father, I would probably still be in that helpless, animalistic state. He took me in when no one else would, taught me how to speak, and read and write; how to be a functional human being again. I was in an accident, apparently, injured badly enough that when I woke my mind was completely blank, bare of even the most basic muscle memory. Father’s treatment may have fixed my body, but my mind still needed hands-on work; work that he tirelessly took upon himself. He spent countless late nights with me, speaking to me, reading to me, letting me get a feel for English again. He allowed me to lean on him while I was relearning how to walk. He spoon-fed me when I lacked the coordination to feed myself. There was still a lot that I didn’t know, and I got confused often, especially when he used bigger words, but he said that was okay. I didn’t need to know everything. So long as I did good, and he gave me that warm, tingly smile, nothing else really mattered.
Apparently, I used to be something called a ‘superhero’ before my accident. I would use this strange power I had to take down criminals and bring them to justice. If I ever wanted to be able to do that again, I needed to train. My body may have been passably functional, but it needed to be exceptional, or so Father said. He always smiled when he talked about me being a superhero again, so I knew that was where I needed to focus my efforts.
“Jordyn? What are you waiting for?” Father asked, his voice gravelly and stern.
I snapped out of my thoughts. “Sorry, Father. I was just preparing myself.”
He shook his head and something inside of me shrivelled up. “Not good enough, Jordyn. Do you think the criminals will wait for you to be ready? You need to do what I ask when I ask, not when you think you are ready.”
I clenched my fists, tears stinging the backs of my eyes. “S-sorry, Father.”
“It’s alright, Jordyn. Now, go.”
I wasted no more time, charging forward as Father started the timer. I needed to do good on this to make up for my blunder before. Father had spent so much of his time and energy on me; I couldn’t let it all be for nothing.
The beat of my feet against the floor fell into a rhythm as I jumped, dodged, and dashed my way through the course. I’d been running it for over a month now, and it was quickly becoming second-nature. I knew exactly when to duck my head to avoid the spinning beams, how to deftly move between the wooden knives shot from the walls, and just which way I should step to avoid the pitfalls in the floor. The burn in my lungs and legs was distracting, but I didn’t let it slow me down. Just like Father always said: ‘Pain isn’t real.’
Something looked a little different about the second set of spinning poles, but I ignored it. The course was always the same every time I ran it; I was probably just thrown off because of Father’s reprimand. They always stung in a way I didn’t know how to deal with.
I leapt into the fray of rapidly spinning wooden beams, ducking the ones at head-height and hopping over the ones aiming for my legs. It took a little bit more focus to ensure I wasn’t hit this time; it seemed as though the poles were spinning faster than usual. Still, with all of my practice, I was making good time. My personal best wouldn’t know what hit it.
Crack!
Something slammed into my shin and my leg buckled from under me. That was fine, this wasn’t the first time I’d been knocked down. I made sure to roll out of the way of any on-coming beams so I had a safe spot to catch my breath in before continuing.
Then the pain hit, so hard and so strong that I immediately gagged from the shock, agony shooting up my leg like bolts of electricity. It was hard to breathe. Hot tears spilled from my eyes as overwhelmed sobs tore from my throat. I looked down at my leg to see what was hurting me so bad and almost threw up. My shin had already turned an ugly purple, and the rest of the limb below that point was twisted unnaturally. My heart lurched.
“F-FATHER! HELP!” I shrieked. The pain was too much; my entire body was locking up, too afraid to move in case I made it worse.
“What are you doing, Jordyn? Get up. Keep going.”
Disobeying his orders hurt almost more than my snapped leg, but I couldn’t bring myself to move. “I- I can’t! It hurts! Father, please!”
“That’s not good enough! Use your shadows, steel yourself! The course is not over until you complete it! Get up, girl! Your pain is not real!”
The thought of going on made me want to curl into a ball, but I did as I was told. Father’s orders came before all else, especially my own comfort. I owed him my life; a little pain meant nothing in the face of that. I reached out to the shadows around me, wrapping them around my injured leg like a splint. My skin turned black, sucking in all of the light around it, but the pain did lessen somewhat. A whimper escaped my lips as I forced myself up. Shards of agony stabbed my flesh every time I put weight on my leg, but it was manageable. I could move, albeit slowly. So much for beating my personal best.
It took an embarrassingly long time, but eventually I was able to limp my way to the end of the course, receiving more than a few extra bruises from the traps I was unable to dodge due to my injury. I collapsed at Father’s feet, dropping to my knees with my head hanging low as sweat dripped from my brow.
“That was disgraceful, Jordyn. Even your first attempt was better than that.”
I bit back a sob. “I’m s-sorry, Father. M-my leg, it-”
He grabbed a fistful of my short hair and tugged my head up, slapping me across the face. “I don’t care for your excuses. If you allow something as trivial as a broken leg to slow you down, the criminals out there will tear you to shreds. You should have learned by now how to use your power to protect yourself against this sort of thing without my instruction. I’ve already spent so much time healing you; I will be very disappointed if it turns out to all be a waste. Are you a waste of my time, Jordyn?”
“N-no Father! I’m not a waste!”
He let go of my hair, allowing me to sag back down to the floor. “Hm. I expect not. Remove your shirt.”
I blinked up at him. “F-Father?”
He struck me again, hard enough to whip my head to the side. “If you cannot even follow a simple order without talking back, how can I expect you to perform well in the field?”
I didn’t make the same mistake twice, pulling off the black, skin-tight garment as quickly as I could.
He nodded his head to the side, indicating a metal pole in the corner of the room, with two handles sticking out of it on either side. I’d yet to learn what purpose it served, but I had a feeling I was about to find out.
“Grab the handles of that pole and remain on your knees.”
I shuffled over with my head down, each drag of my injured leg across the floor causing tears to spring up in my eyes. The metal of the handles was cold under my palms, numbing my fingers. The rough floor dug into my knees uncomfortably. Father was moving around behind me, and every time it sounded like he was approaching, I inadvertently flinched and shied away. Anxious curiosity burned in the pit of my belly. What was this all about? I risked a question.
“Father, wh-what’s happening?”
“You need to learn how to ignore pain, Jordyn. The only way for you to do that is to experience it. It isn’t real; just chemical reactions in your brain. You must internalise that.”
“I- I don’t know what that means, Father.”
He ignored me. “While this is because you failed today, it doesn’t have to be a punishment, Jordyn. Consider it a lesson; a lesson on conquering pain. If you use your shadows to protect yourself from this, or let go of the handles at any point, I’ll have your other leg broken and forbid the medics from repairing it. Remember: pain isn’t real.”
“Father, I-”
SNAP
All of the air rushed out of me and a line of fire lit up across my back. It was so sudden that I couldn’t stop myself from crying out. Surely that wasn’t what he meant to-
SNAP
My stomach rolled uncomfortably as the strike shook my entire body. I couldn’t help but scream as the pain echoed through me.
“FATHER! FATHER, P-PLEASE STOP!”
“Be silent, girl! Who told you you could speak?!”
SNAP
His command overrode even my most basic need to express the utter agony I was in, and the following scream got caught in my throat. Shadows flickered and writhed underneath me, licking up my legs out of protective instinct before I forced them back down again, Father’s warning ringing in my mind.
SNAP
SNAP
SNAP
It felt like it would never end. My vision darkened at the edges. My abs clenched and a surge of bile spilled from my mouth. Warm blood dripped down the burning, torn skin of my back, my anguish heightening with each consecutive blow.
Pain isn’t real Pain isn’t real Pain isn’t real Pain isn’t real Pain isn’t real
SNAP
SNAP
SNAP
SNAP
SNAP
Seconds passed, and no new wave of pain came. I gasped, sucking in as much air as I could to refill my lungs before it was all inevitably expelled again by another strike. My ears were ringing so loud I could barely hear anything and my entire body felt numb aside from the battlefield that was my back, which was still sending lancing aftershocks deep into my muscles even as time continued to press forward with no hint of the next lash.
“You may release the handles, Jordyn.”
I let go and my whole body went limp as I dropped to the floor into a puddle of my own blood and vomit. The movement sent arcing memories of fire through my torn-up skin, and a sob slipped from between my clenched teeth.
“Clean yourself up and report to the medbay when you are ready. After that, head straight to your room. Do not expect dinner.”
All I wanted was a warm meal and for the pain to stop. “Wh-whyyy?” I moaned.
“I will not reward mediocrity, Jordyn. You did poorly today, and as such, you will not be receiving dinner privileges until you beat your personal best again. Be better.”
His footsteps echoed as he walked out of the training room, leaving me alone to cry. This was my own fault. If only I’d been good like he wanted, he wouldn’t have had to hurt me like that. I never wanted to disappoint him like that again.
“I’m s-sorry, Father… I’m sorry.”

“[Name]! Over here!” Your friend waved you over their table when your roamed your eyes around the interior of the café, walking over to them as you clutched your backpack's strap tighter.
“Yo, sorry ‘m late. Didn't notice the time, I was too preoccupied with my work.” You smiled as your friends shrugged off your unusual tardiness, warmth filled you as butterflies swirled around your stomach in a warming way.
“Yeah, it's fine. We know you're busy, its even amazing to think that you could find a free time despite of your cramped schedule. Multiple works in everyday as routine, heck, its amazing just imagining that you can multitask in such advanced level.” One of your friends chimed in, apparently in a state of amazed at your skills. After all, not all could do what you do as an everyday normal occurrence in life.
“Working multiple jobs ain't hard and stressful if your work is also a hobby of yours, instead, it'll be a fun work. Enough of that, any updates? I haven't been able to come out of my house for quite some time, even checking my personal accounts are too much so, spill the tea.” You brought out your laptop and tablet along with your favourite sketchbook and notebook, placing them all in the table and in your lap.
“Seriously? You're gonna do work even here? No wonder the bag that you chose to use is a backpack. Take a break sometimes, you need a vacation!” Like a rebellious kid who's being reprimanded, you weren't listening and continued where you left on sketching the draft of your commission.
“Speaking of vacations, you said you want tea, I have a tea. I recently found this website through an ad, it seems pretty legit so I tried it. The website is all about promoting an island that seemed to be ‘granting’ wishes, multiple feedbacks claimed that their said to be wishes were granted.” [Friend name] showed the said website's homepage, earning a scoff from the rest of your friends.
“Seriously, they believe the feedbacks? For all we know, they might be bought by the developers of the website. They're just planning to scam us of our moneys!” One of them claimed, slamming their hands on the table. People inside the café turned their heads towards your group making you sigh, you had no choice but to calm your friend down and apologize for the commotion and distraction that your table had caused.
“I had my fun, thank you for inviting me you guys. Take care on your way home and be careful!” You waved them goodbye and went on your way home, tugging your jacket closer to your shivering frame.
*squeak*
*squeaks*
Huh? Squeaks? Did you just hear squeaking? Where did it come from? What in the world would create squeaking noises?
Many questions swirled around your pretty head like a raging tornado, you slowly walked in to an alleyway where you assumed the noise came from. Looking around, you shone your phone's flashlight to provide at least a little of vision.
In the corner of your peripheral vision, you saw a wornout box shook frantically. When you stalked closer, abruptly, the box's lid slammed open eliciting a shriek of fright from you as a blob of liquid? Substance? Fluid? Floated in the air in front of you, what?
The blob floated closer to your frame and seemed to be in distress? The way it shook that causes its fluid body to shook along is what you assumed to be a body language of distress, upon closer look, the blob's appearance is strikingly similar to genshin's pet seelie.
As you were focused on the blob of fluid in front of you, your wrist phone rung as it vibrated. Startled, you snoozed the alarm and checked the time, only to realize at how late it is. Without any thoughts running in your mind, you tried to gently tuck the blob of fluid into your bag before wearing it on the front.
In hopes to get home as quick as possible, you run like your life was depending on it (well sort of, its late and you never know what kind of evil guys are lurking. Stay safe everyone!). You gently clutched the bag as you run to ensure that the blob of fluid wouldn't fall to the speed that you are running.
Upon arriving inside, you put your backpack down the floor softly as you slump on to the soft cushion of your couch. Leaning back as you let your tense muscles relax against the couch, completely forgetting about the blob you took home with you.
Minutes passed and you fell asleep without noticing, the blob of fluid wiggled its way out of your bag. Seeing that you fell asleep on the couch, the blob of fluid grabbed the folded blanket on the one-seat couch and pushed you to lay down comfortably in the couch, draping the blanket on your frame to prevent you from catching cold.
"Oh traveler! Just right on time, I received a commission and I know that only you can solve it. Another adventurer stumbled upon a ruin, and they claimed that outside the ruin, there's a huge group of abyss mages. They said that the device they have also grasped an unusual elemental activity going on from the ruin's direction, can you do the commission? I can assign someone who can take it if you won't." Katherine put a hand on her chest in a gentle manner, smiling at Traveler softly.
"Alright, I'll do it. I'm going out anyways, might as well do some commission while I'm at it." Traveler mumbled to himself as he took the paper from Katherine's hand, reading over the quest's information.
'Hmm.. There aren't much written information about the ruin.. I guess I'll end this quick, I still need to look for clues about Lumine's whereabouts..' Traveler thought as his lips formed a thin line, walking away from Katherine with Paimon bidding farewell to her.
"Traveler! Behind you! Look! There's a strange orb!" Paimon screamed, attracting me more abyss mage in their direction. Aether can't help but to click his tongue in annoyance, Paimon noticed Aether's mood and hid.
'Where do they keep coming up?... This is annoying me already.. I still need to find Lumine..' Aether defeated the abyss mage without letting any escape, feeling his temper boiling uncharacteristically, he stalked closer to the said strange orb and examined it.
"Uh.. Traveler..? Are you alright now?.." Paimon quietly asked as she appeared beside Aether who's inspecting the orb, seeing that his lips are still in a thin line, Paimon stopped talking and floated few steps back, not wanting to annoy Aether.
"What is this? Shall we submit this to Alhaitham or Kaveh? This thing look suspicious.." Aether lowly asked as he turned to Paimon who gave no response. Paimon got startled and panicked in her words as she answer Aether, doing her best not to cause any more further annoyance to the blonde traveler.
Just as the two were talking, the strange orb glowed brightly causing Paimon's and Aether's sight to be temporarily disabled. The whole situation cause Paimon to shriek in surprise and floated few steps back further in attempt to lessen the blinding light that's hitting her eyes. When Paimon's vision went back, Aether was no where yo be found and the dull blade that he was holding were left behind under the strange orb, laying in the orb's shadow.
Crying and panicking, Paimon flew back to Sumeru and stumbled upon Alhaitham, Kaveh, Cyno and Tighnari. The floating albino(?) raced through the air towards the four men, slamming herself against Tighnari's hold. She cried as her tears kept falling like river and her voice cracks ever so often, Paimon tried to explain what had occured in the ruin within her best but the only thing that the four men grasped in her explanation is that Aether suddenly went missing and that there's a strange orb inside a strange ruin.
"Wait- wait Paimon! Aether went missing? And what are you talking about? There's no such ruin like you mentioned in the outskirt of the forest, I would know if such ruin exist because me and the other forest rangers frequently patrol the whole territory." Tighnari made an attempt to calm the crying floating creature as he asked her numerous questions.
"Like I said! Aether and I were investigating a strange ruin! And Aether suddenly disappeared when this light from the strange orb that we found at the end of the ruin blinded us! All I heard was Aether groaning in surprise followed by his sword clanking on the ground! Then when Paimon opened her eyes, Aether were no longer beside her!" Paimon explained more cohesively as she cries harder, scared for her best friend's safety and location.
Alhaitham calmed Paimon down and suggested that they go to the Adventurers guild and post a commission on finding their blonde traveler, asking people on the way for clues and leads. The search for the Traveler had went on for 5 days and still no lead and clues or fruit in their search, the only clue and lead they have is the ruin that Paimon had mentioned so they decided to investigate the ruin themselves and find out the truth.

Personal Update: 4/2024
About 99% of posts these last few months have been trickling in from the queue. Typically I choose one day a week to load up a bunch of posts and then let Tumblr automatically post them for me each day. This means that my replies have probably been very slow and very late, and for that I apologize.
I've been doing it this way because frankly, my health is in the shitter again. My brain and body are just not working very well, and because of this I haven't felt confident enough to work on creative projects.
I was recently diagnosed with severe hypothyroidism. I have two tumors on my thyroid, one of them possibly cancerous, and considering my levels my doctor suspects my thyroid has probably been broken for a long time. Like, it's not just underactive, it's not working at all. My T4 levels are dangerously low, like "could slip into a coma at any moment" low, and I'm still waiting to receive my medication because insurance companies are evil, as we all know.
On top of that, I was also diagnosed with a severe case of scurvy. Yes, SCURVY, the freaking old timey pirate disease. 🤦‍♀️ This was likely caused by my gut issues, which limits my diet and hinders the way my body absorbs vitamins. Some of the gut issues probably tie back into the thyroid dysfunction.
Apparently my liver and kidneys are also not functioning very well and my cholesterol levels are high, which is surprising because I'm underweight, I'm not a drinker and I don't use drugs. I'm hoping this is just related to the thyroid thing and aren't separate issues on their own. I have various other infections and screwy lab results too, but I won't get into those or this post will be a novel. All you need to know is that my body is a disaster zone right now and it's hard to function like a normal person. I have very little energy for creative work, and that sucks ass because I have so many ideas that I want to expand upon.
Anyway, I'm just glad to finally have a competent new doctor and some diagnoses, after years of suffering and being told there's nothing wrong with me. I'm hoping to start treatment soon and start feeling well enough to worldbuild the way I want to.
Thank you guys so much for bearing with me, it means a lot. <3 You have been so supportive and helpful.
Feel free to keep sending things to the inbox! If it seems like I haven't answered for a while don't worry, it's probably just sitting in the queue and it will be posted whenever it's next in line. Sorry again for the snail pace here, but this is how it has to be until my condition improves.

Lost & Found. Chapter 12.
Ivar Ragnarsson x oc.
Summary: doubts and mistrust pile up easily when you’re in a foster home, in a foreign place, with a prince that you cannot figure out. 2.4k words.
Taglist: @youbloodymadgenius @pieces-by-me @luvmeijii @fairypitou
P.S.: I’m so very sorry for the *late* update, had a car accident XD
----------------------------------
After the argument, Revna briskly walked away until she reached the outskirts of Kattegat. The whole exchange with Ivar was so out of the blue, she was left confused to the point of being disoriented. The worst part was that Revna didn’t know why Ivar argued with her.
Eventually, she reached the beach, sat down, occasionally drawing on the sand. Trying to understand the root of that argument was pointless by now; she missed a lot of what he said, but she understood the accusations. She was trying to be careful in not doing things that could tarnish her image and put her in a precarious situation, only to have that come right from the person she thought everything was alright. Whatever prompted Ivar to demean her in such a way, was a wild guess.
It made no sense at all, but maybe there was no need for it. Ivar, Ubbe and Sigurd were all royalty, they could change their disposition with the wind and all would be fine. She was just a stranger who had a lucky strike to not be there as a slave, yet. They probably regarded her as an oddity and could do whatever they wanted to her and no one, save maybe for Helga, would be bothered.
As dusk approached, it was time to head back to Helga’s home. It was getting cold, too cold, hopefully, Helga wouldn’t ask too much and she wouldn’t have to say anything. On the way back she heard that strangely pitched voice from the boatbuilder calling her name.
Floki was probably the tallest man she ever saw and easily one of the strangest. He was never hostile to her, much less harmed her, but Revna was aware he only put up with her because of his wife. Once Helga grew tired of her, he would kick her out of his house in the blink of an eye. Then she would be another of the many slaves that filled the whole city, if not one of the skulls that Floki decorated his workplace. Neither prospect was enticing and after the argument with Ivar, she was feeling as vulnerable and alone as when she first saw the couple. It took effort to maintain her composure and not betray the shiver that ran down her spine as he approached her with his unique gait.
When Floki was close, he leaned down to reach her level, looking at her with that always intense gaze.
“Where have you been? It’s almost night.”
“The beach.”
“All this time?”
“Most of it.”
Floki sighed, tilting his head to the side, still looking at her. Revna hoped his distant disposition towards her worked in her favor and he wouldn’t ask anything.
“You’ll get yourself in trouble if you continue with this.”
She didn't answer him, there wasn’t anything to be said, but he insisted:
“You understand that, don’t you?”
“Yes.”
“Yet you keep doing it. I don’t know what to do with you.”
Revna didn’t say anything in her defense. After a while, Floki put a hand over her shoulder and they began walking.
“Let’s head back home. Before you catch something.”
When they arrived, Helga was pacing back and forth in front of the house and as soon as she spotted them she ran in their direction and held Revna by her shoulders before embracing her in a tight hug. Revna could hear the woman’s fast heartbeat against her ear and awkwardly returned the embrace. Helga’s concern was thankfully enough to shadow any other question.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the following morning, Revna woke up to the scent of breakfast, reluctantly leaving the warm comfort of the bed to follow it to where Helga was cooking.
“Morning, my child.” Helga greeted with a gentle smile and her apparently never ending kindness.
“Morning, Helga.”
She only briefly met Helga’s gaze before reaching her hands close to the pot for warmth, missing entirely how Helga’s smile faltered.
“You want to help?”
“Yes.”
Helga handed her the spoon and instructed:
“Keep stirring it. I will set the table.”
It was how their typical routine began. Floki prepared for another day of work, while Helga kept the house running. The couple had a silent understanding of each other that was clear to see and she couldn’t help but feel like an intruder on their intimacy.
After a while Helga asked her:
“How’s Ivar?”
The question wasn’t new, but it unnerved Revna that day. She wasn’t blind to not see Ivar was close to that couple, they would discover sooner or later, but she would rather it be later.
Floki, who typically didn’t show much interest in their conversations, paid close attention:
“He will be good soon. I think.”
Unexpectedly, Floki giggled, almost spilling his mead. Revna looked at him puzzled, but Helga was pleased.
“You meant ‘better’,” Floki corrected her, “he will be better soon”
“Better,” she repeated after him, “he will be better soon.”
Floki kept paying attention, while Helga continued the conversation:
“That is great. Aslaug will be relieved. She loves Ivar greatly and suffers when he’s in pain.”
“Will you meet with Ivar today, Revna?” Floki inquired, sounding almost as normal as always, but he made a point to emphasize her name.
“If he wishes.”
“It is good that you two are getting along. You are learning, and it would be good for Ivar to have a friend.” Helga chimed in.
Floki remained silent, but his weird look made Revna uncomfortable. He was a strange man overall, but somehow his sudden interest was even stranger.
As they finished the breakfast, Helga sat close to Revna to braid her hair. She never let Revna leave with her hair undone, even if it was a ‘simple’ style. After that, Revna left as if nothing had changed, but she wouldn’t go anywhere near Ivar or his brothers. She would do everything in her ability to not bump into any of them. They were toying with her, whatever the game was, she didn’t like it.
She didn’t count the days since she last saw Ivar, but she succeeded in her endeavor. Although the hours passed much slower without Ivar’s company and it was much too evident the loneliness of her predicament, it gave her time to think.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
When Ivar recovered, he left the confines of his house as soon as he could, much to everyone's relief. Everyone was used to the short, unpredictable temper Ivar had, everyone knew it got worse when his legs forced him to stay inside, but this time he became downright terrible. Aslaug was thankful to the gods both for her son's recovery and because all that she had to replace was a few broken utensils, not a new slave. It was hard to find good ones.
Meanwhile, the rumors ran wild among the thralls. The visits from the odd girl didn’t go unnoticed and while nobody knew how the two met, everyone had bets on why she never returned. Some even speculated she was dead since no one saw her again, some speculated she would be dead once Ivar could leave.
Ivar, however, had enough time to think about everything since that day and he was angry. He was mad at Sigurd for interfering with his matters and mad at himself for taking the bait. It was obvious Sigurd would want to spoil something nice for him, yet he fell for the trick like an idiot. His intelligence was the one thing that put him above his brothers and the one he took great pride in, to be made a fool wasn’t something he was going to let go.
As to Revna, it unnerved him that he hadn’t heard a word about her. Logically, Ivar knew she would be fine under Helga and Floki’s care, but the lack of news bothered him. It was also bothering him what Sigurd and Revna could possibly have talked about and why she didn’t say anything, but he was going to discover it one way or the other. She didn’t know how his brothers were and if not for Ubbe and that coat-to-be wolf, he would have kept them away from her longer. It was unlikely Revna was aware of Ivar’s infamy, he doubted she would be at ease with him if she did, but he knew Sigurd would go an extra length to make a mockery out of him.
But he would see to Sigurd later. he wanted to mend things, so he headed to Floki’s home first thing in the morning.
Once he sighted their house, he kept hidden and waited for Revna to leave to follow her quietly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ivar followed Revna all the way to the beach. It was easy to keep hidden as she wasn't really paying attention to her surroundings. Once there, she chose a nice spot and sat down, taking a stick to draw on the sand. It was curious to see her when she thought she was alone, that deep in thought and distracted, so unlike her usual demeanor. Ivar could spend quite a while studying her if he wasn’t concerned with setting things straight.
He crawled to her and it wasn’t until he was fairly close that she took notice of him. When she did, she froze, staring at him with wide eyes like he was an apparition. By the time she came back to her senses, he was already sitting by her side.
“Revna.”
“Ivar.” She returned the greeting after a while, but it wholly lacked the joy he became familiar with.
Revna’s drawing caught Ivar’s attention. It was quite detailed and he was genuinely curious to know what it was about. It would serve as a good starter as well.
“What is it that you’re drawing?”
“Nothing of importance.”
She sounded detached, almost not there at all. He insisted:
“It’s nothing, yet you’re drawing it.”
She didn’t say anything, still staring at him as if not convinced he was there. Ivar urged her to answer:
“Tell me. Tell me what it is.”
Ivar almost thought she wouldn't talk to him at all, but alas, she did:
“There is a city…” she pointed with the stick, “much, much far from here. Great, rich. Different people trade here. Made of stone. Colorful… Many beautiful fabric… gold…”
She stopped. She usually did that when she couldn’t find the right words, but he wasn’t entirely sure that was all to it.
“Are you from there?”
“No.”
“Then why draw it?”
“Memory. It is good to remember places. Or you forget. One day, I may remember Kattegat elsewhere.”
Ivar was taken aback. He thought by now she would have accepted her fate, to hear that she considered leaving Kattegat struck him almost like betrayal. How could she? The goods were generous to show her the truth; she was adopted by one of the most faithful people he knew of, how could she not see how blessed she was?
With a quick swipe, Ivar wiped the drawing.
“Why?”
“The gods gave you a chance to live with us, to learn the truth yet you think of abandoning it?” He spoke with more heat than what he planned to do.
“I do not” she replied sharply “they put me here, they may put me elsewhere.”
So she did acknowledge the gods and their will, but her conclusion was what he didn’t like.
Annoyed and without another word, Revna prepared to stand up.
“Wait, where are you going?” Ivar asked, grabbing her hand before she could leave.
“Away.”
“Don’t. Stay. I want to talk to you.”
“Why?”
“Sit down.” Ivar said nicely, though his grip hadn’t loosened.
She obeyed and only when she was back to sitting at his side he released her hand. Revna remained in silence and so, Ivar spoke:
“What happens in the future is for the gods to decide. You should not tempt them.”
“They may… regardless.”
“You don't know that. They were generous in bringing you here, so don't speak like that.”
She didn't answer, so Ivar cut the chase and went straight to what was bothering him:
“Why haven’t you told me you met Sigurd?”
“He did not say he was your brother.”
“He never spoke about me? Not even once?”
“No.”
Ivar kept gauging her expression to decide if she was lying or not, but shining through was her annoyance. Had Sigurd badmouthed him to her, it wouldn’t surprise him in the slightest, but that he didn’t bothered Ivar. It was not like Sigurd to waste an opportunity to humiliate him.
“Why haven’t you told me?”
“You did not let.”
“You didn’t understand. Why haven’t you told me before?”
“Why? It was… mundane.”
“How so?”
She looked at him confused, so he tried again:
“What did you talk about?”
“Music. Nothing of importance. Mundane things.”
“Music?” Ivar asked, half amused.
“Yes. He plays an oud. I did not think one here. Too far. Too strange.”
In another moment, Ivar would have inquired about her interest in music and know more of her, but as of now his mind was working on figuring out Sigurd’s plan. He didn’t believe for a single second Sigurd’s interest in Revna was innocent, if she was telling the truth, he liked the appearance of it even less.
“I do not know what I did bad.” Revna interrupted his thoughts.
“‘What I did wrong’, you meant.” Ivar corrected her “Nothing. You didn’t do anything.”
“I do not understand.” She stated, her voice uncharacteristically subdued. He wanted to reach for her but she likely would slap his hand away.
“Of course you don't. You don't know my brothers.”
“I did not know he was your brother!”
“I heard you.”
Revna looked at him completely at loss. Of course she didn’t know about the strained relationship between him and Sigurd, that would be a long explanation and one he wanted to delay.
She parted her lips and Ivar waited for her to question him, but after a moment, she gave up whatever she wanted to say. They stood in silence, both of them not knowing what to speak next. It was probably a couple of minutes that felt dragged to both of them before Revna decided to speak:
“Goodbye, Ivar.”

confession. i'm fr TIRED of humans treating corinthians like shit or things that dont feel. it's the little things that make me want to quit my job and i don't know, scam the elderly for a living? (that was a joke.) i love my job don't get me wrong, it makes me the happiest i've been in a long time. today at work while i was busy helping a coworker see what was wrong with their terminal, some dude walked right up to me. he was maybe, i don't know, late 30's, early 60's? it's so hard to tell humans apart. and put his FINGER underneath the panel on my NECK. i smacked his hand away so hard he yelled, but of course i didn't care he almost got to some delicate shit! all because he couldn't stop himself from getting his grubby manchild hands off me.

fucking. respect corinthians. before the empyrean war some of you complained we were replacing humanity, and now that we did all the work for y'all in the war, you treat us like servants and objects that just are there. we'll be around for a long long time. and a ton of us won't forget this.

I wasn't made during the war, so maybe my comments aren't valid, but I totally agree, OP. Humans have become so full of themselves, it's revolting. I'm sorry about your issues as well. We've got a group on TMB about how to reduce human population, and we also think you might be better suited especially if you live in a smaller city, as you've stated in previous posts.
🔁☢️ becquerel-tears Follow fucker didn't read my post, it's so obvious. do NOT talk to me about "reducing the human population" you fucking edgelord wannabe terrorists. blocked and reported. I DON'T CARE THAT THIS IS A BOT, ANTHROPOPHOBES AREN'T EVER WELCOME ON MY BLOG

I find it really weird how youre not concerned about the ethic issues about just making life just because you feel like nor have you addressed it at all. His father had gone out to pick up some herbs, which left Lucas alone in the shop for once. He hadn’t wanted to come along; going out in the daytime had become almost overwhelming for him as of late. He found himself regretting his choice to stay home anyway. At least he wouldn’t be worrying about what happened last night.
Did someone see? He sure hoped not; in that chaos of what had happened, he liked to think that he had slipped away with little issue. All the same, something nagged at the back of his mind, telling him that someone had seen him. While he couldn’t be certain if it was truly his intuition or just the result of his overactive mind, the thought wouldn’t leave him be.
In an effort to distract himself, he chose to throw himself into his books. If nothing else, he could at least update his notes. One doesn’t become an apothecary by not taking notes on what kind of herbs did what.
Lucas’ studies were interrupted by a knock at the door. He ignored it at first; anyone looking at the sign would know that the shop was closed for today. Maybe this visitor didn’t see the sign yet, and would walk away soon enough.
Apparently not; the stranger not only lingered, but decided to knock on the door two more times. By the third time, Lucas had become fed up and stood.
“Hey,” he called as he approached the door. He knew the door wasn’t soundproof, the stranger could absolutely hear what he was saying. “Can’t you read the sign? We’re closed for today, you’ll have to come back tomorrow if you really need something done-”
Lucas cut himself off as he actually opened the door. Even upon getting a good look at the stranger’s face, he reflexively shut the door.
Two things occurred to Lucas in that moment.
First: that was Aevus at the door. The court mage, the one that hosted that stupid event in the first place. Not only was he famous for his use of time magic, he was also said to be a talented tactician. Between his strategic mind and the might of the Royal Guard, many people felt that very few could actually threaten the kingdom.
The second thing Lucas realized was that he had just slammed the door in Aevus’ face.
Slowly, he opened the door again and peered out. Mercifully, Aevus was still standing patiently. Other than a raised eyebrow and crossed arms, there was no way of telling what Aevus could have been thinking.
“Um,” Lucas stammered. “I-I’m so sorry. I wasn’t expecting any visitors, especially not one like you. Not to say I’m not honored-!”
Aevus let himself in. He wasn’t alone; he was followed in by an armored fellow. That particular suit of armor marked him as a member of the Royal Guard - he was probably there in case Aevus got into trouble.
“You can relax,” Aevus said, turning to Lucas with a polite smile. “I’ll say it right now; you’re not in any trouble.”
Despite Aevus’ words, Lucas found it incredibly hard to relax. There was an intensity in the air that the court mage seemed to bring with him; whether it was because of his magical strength or something else, it made it near impossible for Lucas to be anything but tense.
“I hope you’ll forgive me saying so, but I find that hard to believe,” Lucas said, eyes flickering towards the knight. He seemed content to just stand by the doorway. “It’s not every day we get a visit from the court mage, after all. And a member of the Royal Guard, if I’m not mistaken? If you’re looking for my father, he’s out gathering herbs-”
“I was looking for you, actually.”
The words filled Lucas with dread; he could practically envision what Aevus was about to say next. Sure enough, Aevus took a moment to observe Lucas before continuing, “I saw what you did back in the Mage’s Tourney. Are you aware that was time magic?”
It took everything Lucas had to not respond with a sarcastic comment. The man somehow saw him completely reverse a whole awning's collapse…and he chose to not only state the obvious, but to phrase it like he was talking down to him? “Are you looking down on me? Of course I know that was time magic.”
At least Aevus had the courtesy to realize the weight of his words.
“My apologies, I hadn’t meant to…” He trailed off, and for the first time he seemed almost awkward. That was a surprising sight from the man that seemed so stoic and self-assured before.
“My point is, I’d like to know how you came to learn that kind of magic,” Aevus said. “Dialga is rather…picky with who he imparts his wisdom to.”
“I actually don’t know how I learned it,” Lucas admitted. He placed a hand on his arm - he could feel it tingle. “All I know is that I got hit by something, and ever since then…”
“Where were you struck?”
“My arm.”
“May I see?”
Lucas complied; he pushed his right sleeve up so that Aevus could get a good look at his arm. The scar stretched from the back of his hand to his elbow. Maybe it would be more accurate to describe the scar as a mark - his arm looked more like one of those bowls that had been glued together with some kind of paint. He couldn’t recall the name of that particular art.
Aevus carefully traced a finger over the scar. “Well, this is indeed temporal energy you were struck by. A very strong blast of it, too. That you survived is a miracle in itself.”
He circled around the boy. “Is that scar the only physical change? You don’t feel any older or younger than you should be?”
“Well…people always tell me I look younger than I am. That said, I don’t feel any different.”
“Have people told you this before you got the scar?”
“Yeah.”
“In that case, I’d say you haven’t aged any.” Aevus stopped his circling and looked at Lucas. “Count yourself blessed in that respect; such a blast could have easily aged you sixty years.”
“Great. Nice to know I miraculously dodged being eighteen going on eighty.” The comment seemed to burst out of Lucas’ mouth without warning. Aevus seemed to take it in stride, though; in fact, he thought he could hear something like a chuckle coming from the mage.
“Now, have there been any other changes? Any other scars, or things that have changed since the incident?”
“Well, now that you mention it…I’ve been pretty sensitive to light. I mean, more sensitive than I was before. Is that normal?”
Aevus paused. “That depends. Have you started seeing colors around every living thing as well?”
When Lucas nodded his assent, Aevus hummed, “Interesting. That’s actually an indicator of a different kind of ability. Perhaps the temporal energy awakened that trait in you.”
“What do you mean, a different kind of ability?!” Lucas cried. “It’s not enough that I can apparently use time magic, but something else is going on with me?!”
“Calm down,” Aevus assured him. “What you are sensing is called Aura. It’s actually very common in certain circles of magic. I’d be more surprised if you didn’t sense this kind of thing, considering what you’ve been through.”
“Does that include time magic?”
“As a matter of fact, yes,” Aevus answered. “I can sense it as well.”
Lucas had to admit, that was almost comforting. If only because he knew he wasn’t alone in being this overly sensitive.
“I’ve been meaning to ask,” Lucas said. “How did the rest of the event go? Was everyone safe?”
“I was actually hoping you’d ask that,” Aevus said with a smile. “Not to worry. What you did actually ensured everyone’s safety. You stopped the collapse right before it could cause any lasting damage.”
Lucas let out a sigh of relief before Aevus’ words registered. “…Why were you hoping I would ask that? I mean, of course I would. What kind of apothecary would I be if I wasn’t concerned for people’s safety?”
Aevus shrugged, the smile remaining on his face. “A rather poor one, I must agree. You would also be a pretty poor excuse of a court mage. Fortunate that I’ve chosen you to be my successor.”
Lucas stared. “Excuse me?"

Hey new user here! I just wanna say how much I love your Survival fic like it's just soooo freakin good..I am literally looking for an update but please take your time you're an amazing writer!
I like how in Survival instead of loosing her sanity or giving in under pleasure the reader is aware of it that if she wants to survive she needs to give in to Sukuna but she definitely doesn't enjoy any pleasures and had her composer and mind in a right way and you have so beautifully described her painful journey of pregnancy
In that one scene during her pregnancy when she later founds out that she was holding on to Sukuna that scene kinda got me soft I wonder what would have been Sukuna's reaction towards it
Specially her reaction when the twins were born I love how motherly she was and then Sukuna's reaction was also sooo genuine like he had the realisation of reader's attitude towards him and the twins...also they way you have described how close she keeps her twins towards her during the ceremony and how she is ready to risk her life for her twins. Also the way Sukuna treated her during the ceremony
DAMN it's seriously sooo good I love it soo much...idk if I'm able to describe how much I love it but I really love your fic....forgive me if I got something wrong
Love you...stay hydrated 😙
I'm sorry I'm late replying to this ask, I just got off vacation with my family, but oh my lordly lord, you have no idea how much this made my day…seriously you have nooo idea.😭🫶
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, and I swear that I’m working on the next chapter, and it should hopefully be done by sometime in May.🤞
When I initially thought up the Idea of Survival, I wanted to portray the reader in a way I hadn’t seen often. I wanted her to be levelheaded, although it wouldn’t be done with ease as she has clearly gone through and seen so many things within the temple. The pregnancy and labor scenes were the hardest to write, as I didn’t know how I wanted to go about it— all I knew was that the reader would not be happy. For a while, I debated if she would have a distaste for her children or not, but then I wanted to unlock that rational side to her where she couldn’t blame the actions of Sukuna onto the twins, but that wasn’t something she would realize until after they were born.
Regarding the scene where she had the realization that she was hallucinating and that she was, in reality, holding onto Sukuna during her labor…if Sukuna himself had found out she had figured it out, he definitely wouldn’t have made it known that he knew because of his reputation; however, deep down, he would hold great pride about it since despite the reader knowing, she was still standing beside him and indulging his antics although having free will to distance herself if she genuinely wanted to. If she had done what he had assumed she would do, he probably would have lost interest in her as (Y/n) would have begun to blend with the crowd of the other wives if that route had been taken.
The ceremony is something I definitely wanted to do to show Sukuna’s apparent favoritism and the reader’s current mindset regarding what she was willing to do for her and the twins to live, revealing that even in the most gruesome situation, she could keep her head just above the water. It also showed her status and how it was both a shield and a danger to herself, almost like she was playing king of the hill— by using the right strategy and remaining a clear thinker, she will stay on top no matter who tries to tear her down.
Anyways....Thank you so much! Love ya too! 💚
P.S. You bes stay hydrated too or I will find you and force you to drink 64 oz. of water in one sitting! 👿🫵

Issues of Fandom Past
I am sorry if I am feeling a little jumpy about blocks lately. (Turns out I solved the mystery as to why so many of my blogs are blanked out on some reblogs / replies from a mutual I've seen - the ops aren't doing it, it's because the moot apparently has a privacy setup for only moot reblogs / replies and I just realized it! Tumblr mechanics stuff. I swear, I've been on this site for years and learn something new every day. It's like playing Skyrim...) I think it's because I did run into, a couple of days ago, someone who didn't have my main blocked (didn't know about it) but had this blog / the Trigun blog blocked and I know why. I saw an old name from SPOOOOOOKY fandom-past come up on Ao3 and was all "Oh, I know that name!" and looked at their profile and saw their listed tumblr profile name, which I recognised when I tried to reblog something insightful I saw them say in terms of a '98 episode-review without commentary. And, nope, they had me blocked. I thought they would have forgotten about me or just not know me anymore / not find or care about the new username. Oh, well.
We had beef, like, 20 years ago. Over 20 years ago. This was someone who was part of a friend group in the old fandom I had a lot of fighting with and, ultimately, I came away with it feeling that I was the one who was mostly if not wholly in the wrong. My fighting started with the friend group when a then-friend of mine would antagonise people and then act like the bullied victim when they responded and would then rely on me as a "good friend" and a more aggressive person to fight their battles for them. Well, that's how it started and not where it ended. I got into it on my own with this set of friends and did my own wankery. I got into it with even more people because I used to have what I'll just lay out as "church-views" and hadn't yet accepted / contended with / or even knew it was a term - my own asexuality with mild sex-repulsion and got really pissy about people's ships and kinks in fandom and harped about the "immorality" of putting non-canon kinks into mah fandom! Yes, I was one of THOSE. But we all get older and hopefully wiser. Cringe dies (or gives way to new and hopefully more benign forms of cringe), but is forever remembered. I do remember, at some point, emailing a letter of apology to one of the friends in this friend-group addressing all and it being taken with gratitude, but I still hadn't examined everything that I needed to deal with at the time. I moved on since then, but I guess this is why my guts clenched when I saw one of the folks I used to know popping up again out of the Internet woodwork over on ol' Ao3 with updated fic-sets and on tumblr. I found out about the block when I was testing the waters on a comment-less reblog, in hopes I was forgotten, maybe, that my new username was unknown, or that we'd reached, after all this time, a level of truce. I don't want to try to be friends, but I think it would be nice if people in the old guard fandom could just pass each other in the hall, wave to each other and move on. Enjoy each others' art and insights, even. I see some people pop up from the old guard fandom. I haven't seen any of my old friends so far and have seen people I do not know who were apparently in other parts of the Internet in OG Trigun fandom who talk about it... but there are a few people who I see a name I recognize and gut-clench. No desire to fight because I'm like "Yeah, I was wrong, you were right, I've moved on," but get that clench because I am filled with shame over it all and am reminded of it. And then there's the matter of people whom I'd probably had problems with probably do have new usernames / different usernames on here and it's almost like? I'd like a list? So that maybe we can preemptively block each other so we don't accidentally share from each other and recoil from it if one or more of us aren't ready to clean-slate each other? I'd like to be clean-slated, but that is only something that guilty people want.
