That’s the Difference

// unedited, I apologize. Clearly taken from an episode of FRIENDS. If you know how the episode goes, then you know how this story goes.

Sirius Black, the bachelor. The single bad boy who had no intentions of doing anything serious, {excuse the pun,) somehow had come to a point in his life where he had two women. Who he loved.

The first was the blonde bombshell, Marlene McKinnon. He had been fawning over her for years. Something about her drew him to her, but he never thought she was interested. Mainly due to the fact that they had been very close friends and she had never showed any. Her best friend was Lily Evans, and his was James Potter. And ever since they had gotten together, the rest were forced together. Marlene and Sirius had a complex relationship before that, filled with insults and teasing. But once they set that aside they quickly became friends. Friends who very much enjoyed insulting one another. And perhaps friends that would occasionally wind up drunk in the others bed.

Only recently did that stop. When Sirius’ parents had found a match for him. A pureblood to marry, one that they approved of- and that miraculously was not already related to them. (Not directly at least.) But what was even more astonishing was that Sirius liked her. He really really liked her. He would go as far to say that he /loved/ her.

She was beautiful, funny, witty, and hated her parents. She wanted nothing more but to leave their house forever but she had a younger sister that she was afraid to leave behind. A situation that Sirius knew all too well. They bonded fast, once they realized how similar their lives were. They made a pact that if their parents made them marry, then they would oblige, and as soon as both their siblings were old enough to get out of their parents houses and fight for themselves, they would go down as the first pureblood match to adopt in a squib or muggle or muggleborn or anyone NOT pureblood and ensure to not pass down any of their learnings to their kids. Maybe even fight against hte pureblood supremists that were rising. Travel the world. Her name was Julie Wilson and they were going to have the life they never thought possible.

There was one catch in their plan.

Marlene McKinnon.

The woman who set Sirius’ heart on fire. The woman who he would move mountains for. The woman he always thought was too good for him. They were nothing but friends with benefits. Marlene had made that clear herself. She said he was a good shag but nothing more. She went on dating and between boyfriends would find herself back in Sirius’ bed for a night or two. That was all. And even with that, it changed his world.

But, she was too good for him. It was never going to happen.

He thought.

But seeing Julie and Sirius so happy together apparently had struck something in the gorgeous blonde. She had approached him just the night before and told him that she was in love with him.

His mind exploded, his heart sank and he couldn’t move. He couldn’t talk. His only response was, “Julie.” Marlene nodded sadly and told him that she understood but thought she should say something now before it was too late. But he grabbed her before she stepped out, asking for 24 hours to think things through. To his own surprise, she agreed.

Now he was in James Potter’s kitchen with his best friends pacing back and forth explaining his predicament. He was sweating. Sirius Black was swearing in anxiety. This was a side he never knew he had and never wished to revisit.

“Make a list,” Remus suggested, “Write down all the things you love about both of them, I find writing things down helps me.”

Sirius rolled his eyes.

But James picked up a quill, “You only got a day mate, let’s try it.” Pulling out some parchment he put both girls name on the top and underlined them. “What have you got?”

Desperate for anything, Sirius shrugged, “Well there’s Julie and Marlene.”

“We know that part,” Peter giggled. “Let’s start with what you don’t like! It’ll be more fun.”

Remus spoke up, “Wouldn’t the good-”

"No, he’s right. They’ll be more fun and faster. He could name what he likes about both girls pretty much forever,” he didn’t say it in an annoyed way. He just knew what he sounded like when he talked about Lily. Although there wasn’t a single negative thing he could come up for her. “Whoever has less bad is the one for you.”

Remus tried again, “That doesn’t sound like a great-”

“Marlene isn’t very good at magic or school.” Peter started straight away.

James jotted down, ‘not smart.’

Remus sighed but Sirius went along with it, “That’s true. She also cares more about how she looks than Julie does.”

James wrote, ‘shallow.’ “This is great, keep going.”

Sirius ran his fingers through his hair, “I don’t know, I can have these long talks about everything with Julie. She understands what I’ve been through and Marlene is just... She doesn’t get it.”

James wrote, ‘half-blood- doesn’t get things.’

Caving in, Remus went next, “She drinks a lot, when you two are together you drink more.”

James laughed and wrote, ‘future alcoholic.’ Looking up at the time he realized it was later than he thought. Lily was coming over for dinner and would be here soon. He looked at Sirius still thinking and decided to speed things along, “Alright so what about Julie?”

Everyone went quiet, they didn’t know Julie as well as Sirius did. They barely knew her at all. Sirius did not have anything to say either. James was about to say he had his answer there when his lips finally opened, “She’s- she’s not Marlene.”

His words made James forget about Lily. He looked at his best friend, dropped the quill and went over to Sirius, “She’s Marlene. You’re Sirius. I think you know what to do.”

Sirius’ eyes lit up, “You’re right, I am /serious./” Everyone moaned but Sirius skipped out of the room. James rushed everyone else out just before Lily came over and excitedly told Lily all about what was about to happen. As soon as he was done breaking Julie’s heart, Marlene and Sirius would finally be a real thing.

And the rest of the evening went without incident. James had a lovely night with Lily, he made her a fantastic dinner, only using muggle techniques. She guessed that Remus helped since there were no fires and sheepishly James admitted that she was right. But the gesture was still appreciated and James could not stop smiling into the night and even bright and early the next morning. He got to wake up to the most beautiful sight he had ever seen in his life. A sleeping Lily Evans, in his shirt and in his arms and his bed. He kissed her lightly before sneaking downstairs to make her breakfast. What he wasn’t expecting was Marlene walking in the front door just as he started cooking the eggs. (This time with magic.)

“Marlene?” He asked confused, “What are you doing here?”

She let out a small smile, “I just was erm... wondering if... Lily... was here?”

His brows raised, “SIRIUS isn’t here.”

She faltered, “That’s not what I asked.”

James couldn’t keep his mouth shut, he was about to say that Sirius was just breaking up with Julie but the door opened again and it was the young Black himself. James dropped the full egg onto the frying pan but grinned, running upstairs to wake his girlfriend with something much better than just breakfast.

By the time they returned downstairs however, it did not sound like a new couple just getting together. James wouldn’t have been mad if he walked in to them having sex on his counter top- and honestly it was sort of what he was expecting from these two.

But when James realized what was in Marlene’s hands his heart dropped. Lily asked what was happening but Marlene answered for him.

“Not smart? Shallow?” She started, her voice shaking as she read.

“No, no- that’s not what it looks like,” Sirius pleaded, looking over to James, “That’s not even what I SAID.”

“Oh so you DID say these things?” Marlene cut back, eyes looking back to the paper. “Half-blood, doesn’t get things? FUTURE ALCOHOLIC?!”

Sirius looked to James and James wished he could disappear. “No- Marls just listen.”

“LISTEN TO WHAT?!”

Sirius was lost for words, James piped up, “But look at Julie’s side!”

She did, it was empty, “Nothing. There’s nothing,” she passed the sheet to her own best friend who looked at it disgusted and hit James’ shoulder hard. James cursed at himself, he hadn’t gotten around to actually WRITING what Sirius had said.

Sirius’ voice dropped lower, “It was suppose to say ‘not Marlene’ because she’s not you and you’re per-”

“I am not smart, shallow, and only a half-blood according to you.” For the first time in his life, Sirius could see real tears forming in Marlene’s eyes. His heart broke and he tried reaching out for her, but she pushed him away. “I can’t believe- I can’t even believe!”

“I know,” Sirius decided fighting wasn’t going to help. He had to apologize, he needed her to know that he loved her. “I’m sorry, I love you. I love you so so much Marlene McKinnon. I love you so much that I broke up with Julie for you. My family will never speak to me again and-”

“Well that doesn’t matter to me because I’m just a half-blood who wouldn’t understand.”

"No, that wasn’t suppose to even- It doesn’t matter!”

“IT DOESN’T MATTER?!” She shrieked out. “Just imagine for a minute that someone that you loved and trusted made a list of reasons not to be with you.”

“I shouldn-”

“Then used that list,” Marlene continued, holding back tears, “For reasons NOT to be with you.”

It went silent, they could hear Lily and James breathing from the corner where they stood perfectly still, witnessing their best friends hearts break, but with no way to stop it.

“Even if you did,” Sirius said gently, “I would forgive you for it, because I love you.”

“Well, I guess that’s the difference between you and me,” Marlene finally replied, exasperated, her hands were by her side and her eyes were so fuzzy she couldn’t see, she took a few steps closer to Sirius, “I would never make a list,” she finished, reaching behind Sirius and opening the door to leave.

Sirius did not chase after her. He knew that he couldn’t. He had messed up. And messed up badly. He looked to James, he wasn’t even mad. She was right. He had made a list, he had made those points and if it hurt her, then he was in the wrong.

His chest heavy, he waved to James and Lily and walked further into the house, he knew his way around, he knew where the spare bedroom is. The room Mr and Mrs Potter had said he could live in if he ever needed a place to stay. And after breaking up with Julie, he ruined his last chance with them. There was no where else to go. And there was no more Marlene. Maybe he was just a screw-up like his parents had always told him.

Draco Malfoy doesn’t speak; it has been three days since he woke up in the infirmary, and nothing that has been done has been able to get a reaction out of him.

When Malfoy hadn’t shown up to the first day of their sixth year, Harry had known it was something to do with Voldemort, but he’d assumed Malfoy had joined him and was now in a mission for the Dark Lord.

Oh, how wrong he was.

Malfoy had somehow appeared straight in Harry’s dorm room one afternoon - scaring the shit out of Ron and Hermione, the only people there - and said only one word - Horocruxes - before he’d passed out.

He’d been bloodied, and dirty, and bruised, and he’d looked like he hadn’t eaten in weeks. Harry understood nothing except for the fact that Malfoy needed help, and so he’d sent Ron running to get Madam Pomfrey and McGonagall. Hermione had shoved Harry out of the way and began muttering healing spells in earnest, her face pale and her hands bloody.

Harry could only stare.

Madame Pomfrey and McGonagall had both worked in tandem, with a synchrony that only comes from years of working together. After they were sure Malfoy wasn’t going to die, they’d taken him to the infirmary, and Ron and Harry had turned all of their questions on Hermione, who’d been trembling since Ron had pulled her away from Malfoy, after Pomfrey and McGonagall arrived.

“He - He was spying for the order.” Hermione had whispered with shaking hands. “I was - not a lot of people knew, I - I don’t know how they - how they-”

She’d stopped talking then, and neither Ron nor Harry had pressed her for more.

Two days later, Malfoy had woken up. There had been questions, of course. A lot of them. Malfoy didn’t answer a single one, and though they tried again, it’s been three days of no answers.

“There’s nothing wrong with his vocal chords.” Pomfrey says, when Hermione has stopped by to check on him for the fifteenth time in five days; she’s been sleeping in the infirmary more often than in the Gryffindor Dorms lately. Ron and Harry are hovering uncomfortably by the door; though he believes everything Hermione had said - including that Malfoy changed - he doesn’t think he’s ever been close enough to Malfoy to be welcome in the room at the moment. “It’s trauma. Shock, too. We can’t rush the process.”

He’d arrived through a portkey Professor McGonagall had made for him, charmed to lead him straight to wherever Hermione was. The first few nights Harry tried to fool himself into thinking that Malfoy got away before hte worst happened; that as soon as he’d been found out he had managed to get out. He knows he’s wrong.

The scars are both old and new, some as old as four months, which means the beginning of July, or the last of June. Right when they went home for summer. He doesn’t want to think of anything that might’ve happened to Malfoy, becuase he doesn’t think he could stop thinking of what he could’ve done to stop it, and it is a line of thought he cannot indulge in right now. Instead, he focuses on helping Malfoy, as much as he can, which mostly comes through in helping Hermione.

He and Ron bring her food, and books from the library, and even things like a toothbrush or a change of clothes in the weekends, when she refuses to leave Malfoy’s side. She feels guilty, Harry knows; being one of the only two people who knew of Malfoy being a spy, she thinks it’s her fault, it must’ve done something she did.

And honestly, Harry doesn’t know if it was; maybe it was an ill-timed letter, or a floo call one of them made carelessly. He does know that Hermione wallowing in guilt and not taking care of herself does nothing to help Malfoy, and that even if it was something she did, she couldn’t have known.

“Please, Hermione.” He begs. “Please, just - it’s dinner. Go to the Great Hall. Eat there. Talk to people. Malfoy will still be here when you’re done.”

Hermione rubs at her eyes - darkened by lack of sleep - and shakes her head to wake herself up.

“I’m fine,” She says. She looks back towards Malfoy - sitting on the infirmary bed, hands on his lap, eerily quiet and still - and shakes her head. “I don’t want to - I don’t want to leave him alone. What if I - what if I leave, and something happens, and I’m not here? I - I knew what he wanted to do, I promised he’d be safer this way, and he’s - he’s-”

Her voice breaks, and her eyes begin filling with tears, and Ron and Harry look at each other helplessly.

“‘Mione, this is not your fault.” Ron says firmly. “You said Malfoy changed. If he did, he would’ve done this anyway, whether or not you promised safety. You’re wasting away, and that is not helping him. Do you want to end up in one of the infirmary beds with him? Do you think you’ll be any help to him, then?”

Hermione’s lower lip trembles, and she wipes at her eyes, shaking her head.

Harry is surprised by just how much Ron is like his mother.

“Good.” He continues. “So you’re going to come with us to the Great Hall, you’re going to eat something, and you’re going to sleep in a bed for once. You can be right back here tomorrow morning.”

Hermione still looks hesitant, and so Harry speaks.

“I’ll stay with him.” He says. Hermione looks at him, and he nods. “You didn’t want to leave him alone, so don’t. I’ll wait with him, until you’re back.”

“You’ll stay the night?” Hermione asks dubiously.

“Yes,” Harry says. “It’s alright. We can take turns.”

“Alright,” Hermione sniffles quietly. She stands and hovers for a little while on Malfoy’s bedside. “I’m going to the Great Hall, Draco. I can - I could bring food back for you, if you would like.”

There’s no reaction. Hermione sighs slightly, and then presses her knuckles softly to Malfoy’s.

“I won’t be long,” She promises. “Harry will stay with you.”

Harry nods helpfully, and Ron and Hermione walk out of the infirmary.

Harry stands awkwardly for a while, before sitting down on the chair Hermione had been using. Harry has never liked silence, but this one in particular is driving him insane.

“So, uh, how are you?” He asks. Malfoy doesn’t respond. “Not good, I imagine. I’m sorry I didn’t - I’m sorry I didn’t do anything. I know, I know, I didn’t know, how could I have - but I - I’m also sorry for that. Not knowing. I was - I thought you were a prick. You were a prick, but even when you weren’t I - I think I was already used to seeing you that way, so I never bothered to look at you any other way, and I didn’t notice - I - I’m sorry.”

There’s still no response, and Harry sighs and leans back. He leans forward again, and then shifts his weight. Leans back again. Forward. Back. He taps his foot. He’s moving so much he’s half expecting Malfoy to snap out of his trance and snap at him for being annoying.

He doesn’t.

Staying by Malfoy’s bedside is hell. Mostly because Harry can only sit there and wallow in his own guilt, his insecurities and uncertainties, and the only thing there is to do is watch Malfoy, which gives Harry a painfully clear view of everything that’s happened to him.

There are bruises on his face, and his arms, and a long cut across his nose. There are scars under the hospital gown, Harry knows even if he hasn’t seen them. His grey eyes - pale grey, much clearer than Harry had noticed - are still on the white wall, and he’s barely blinking.

It’s… creepy.

Still, he comes back the three nights later. And then another three. And another three. Him, Hermione, and even Ron take turns every night to stay by Malfoy’s bedside. Harry has taken to reading Muggle books out loud for Malfoy to hear. He gets through all of Disney’s fairytales, and then reads Mulan again because he thinks it’s Malfoy’s favorite, even if he has no way to know.

He’s reading The Little Mermaid when it happens.

“She’s dumb.” Malfoy whispers shakily.

It’s nearly three in the morning - Malfoy barely sleeps - and Harry has to blink various times to make sure he didn’t imagine it.

“What?” He asks.

“Ariel.” Malfoy says. His voice sounds odd; unfocused, distant, terrified. “She’s dumb. She gave away her voice for legs for someone who she didn’t even know because she thought she was in love with him.”

Harry’s jaw is slack.

Malfoy doesn’t say anything for the rest of the night, no matter how many times Harry tries to question him.

Over the next few weeks, it happens again. They’re always tiny comments, and they’re only with Harry. Some of them are nonsensical, but most of them are pretty structured, if a little vague. Harry can mostly carry out a conversation with him, as long as no one else is around and Draco - because it’s Draco now - feels sufficiently comfortable.

The first time Harry tries to get him to speak in front of other people, Draco curls up in a ball and doesn’t speak for three days, not even to Harry, alone. The next time, it’s only one day, and the time after that, his fingers keep twitching nervously but he tries to get a few words out.

He doesn’t succeed, but Harry’s proud of him anyway.

The next few times, Harry holds his hand through it. He’s taken to doing that, holding Draco’s hand, whenever he gets nervous. Harry doesn’t know if Draco was always this anxious or if it is a new thing, but he is always anxious. Now that Harry can read him, he notices it all the time, in the set of his shoulders, the twitching of his fingers, the way he swallows.

Which means there’s a lot of hand-holding, which, surprisingly, Harry is entirely okay with. The first time Draco speaks with another person around - Hermione - it’s the words ‘It’s not your fault’ and Hermione and him both cry. Harry tries to let go of his hand to give them a moment of privacy, but Draco squeezes tighter and looks at him like he’s begging Harry not to leave.

It is a long, slow way. Draco develops a stutter for a while, and he doesn’t ever discuss what happened at the Manor, and Harry doesn’t press. They sleep in the same bed every night, and, with Draco in his arms, Harry’s arms wrapped around him, he realizes that, with his friends and his boyfriend on his side, they’ll win the war.

They have to. Because Harry isn’t going to allow anything else to harm Draco, or Ron, or Hermione, ever again. They don’t deserve it.

And he will do anything to ensure their safety.

This is my first comeback, eek! I was not at all prepared for how much I would be waiting on the edge of my seat, but it's been really exciting!

Yes! It's such a good comeback honestly. When did you first get into BTS? What drew you to them? I'm sorry I'm asking for many questions. Lol. -sparkle 💫✨

It's okay, ask away! ^^ I stumbled across BTS by accident...which may indicate just how much I live under a cultural rock. I actually don't usually listen to much pop music. I'm a classically trained composer and video game soundtracks and moody indie/rock are more my jam, but last year I heard the YouTube ad that uses part of DNA and it intrigued me. I didn't know which song it was so I ended up listening through quite a bit before finding it...and fell absolutely in love along the way! So I have a soft spot in my heart for DNA. How about you, Sparkle? What got you into BTS?

So first, I hope you're having a too day/night! It's been a very long and busy one for me. I'm so glad to be off. Alsooo, I've been into Kpop for around 10 years now, so I've always enjoyed and I have a soft spot for 2nd gen kpop groups. When BTS started to get popular I didn't like them at first. But I saw Dope after the FBE channel reacted to them and I'm like okay they seem interesting around 2018. Lol. And I went down the hole, and have been stuck since. Lol. They're amazing. -sparkle 💫✨

Thank you Sparkle, hope you enjoy your evening off! Mine was busy too (we’re prepping for a move, eep) but at least it was productive. Wow, you’ve been into Kpop for a long time! Dope is really catchy (and I love that honky sax haha), I’m not surprised it got you interested and then hooked. :) Do you have a favorite era? Mine is probablyyy Wings, but I love most of Love Yourself too, and HYYH is so wonderfully nostalgic even if I wasn’t a fan then... and I’m a big fan of this new era too

Moving sucks! I'm going to be moving in the next year or so, and I"m not read for it. And yes! I've been into it for so long. But HYYH is one of my favorites as well. I think mine may be LY because that was the era that I started stanning them. I forget which one, but it's the one with idol as their title song. Wings is super amazing, and one of those that I'll always listen to. MOTS is just GOD TIER. Lol. I love it. -sparkle 💫✨

It is a little ways off, but moving just sucks in general. The packing and unpacking and then trying to get everything ready. Especially in your case. But I hope everything works out for you. And I hope you have a beautiful weekend too. -sparkle 💫✨

I know it is difficult because we all have our own obligations to school, work, family, etc., but please try to prioritize your health and stay safe 💜)

Yes! I hope you’re staying safe. I don’t know what area of the world you live in and I know the virus is hitting others harder than most. We have 8 reported cases here. And it’s a scary to me. I hope you are staying safe. I just said that twice. Lol. Happy Thursday! -sparkle ✨💫

Thank you, you too! I live in the US (California, to be somewhat specific) and so far there have been two confirmed cases in my county. I'm grateful the university I work at is (finally) taking precautionary measures by banning large gatherings and moving classes temporarily online, and that I can continue working unless there is a full campus closure... Trying not to be too anxious about things that are simply out of my control and hoping that things gradually work out and improve. I'm also grateful for the community here, even if I don't know anyone personally, it is nice to come online and see people being reassuring and encouraging to each other from all across the globe.

Music and BTS are a good distraction when needed... Now that their promotional period is done, do you have a favorite moment?

I truly wish that my job would take some measures, and they have yet. I work with the general public a lot as a secretary. So it's like seriously having me on edge. I know the schools year have temporally closed down and moving things to online since it was spring break here. As well as the public schools closing for a month. Honestly, I'm not sure if I have a favorite moment honestly. Lol. They were all good moments, but I did quite enjoy watching all the ON performances. What about you?

I truly hope your employer catches on soon and makes accommodations so that you can practice some social distancing and have a safe work environment. We were just informed today that we have to work from home two days next week, on rotation, to keep our department staffed but also reduce the number of people on the floor -- for next week only so far, but I won’t be surprised if it continues past that. I can’t fulfill all of my responsibilities from home, so I’m grateful that they are allowing us to complete online trainings and such in the meantime. I am also so glad it’s Friday. What a week it’s been.

Ahh, I love ON! As a former member of drumline and marching band, I have such a fondness for the drum corps elements they incorporated into the music and background choreography. I was excited for the Official MV version too, so beautiful and thought-provoking! I also looove Black Swan (JIMIN’S DANCING EEK). I haven’t been as excited about something in a long time as when I stayed up late to catch their first performance on James Corden. So while I’ve enjoyed all of the comeback (especially as it’s my first!), that was particularly memorable for me. The surprise MV drop was also lovely 🦢🖤

It’s been a long couple days! Sorry I haven’t gotten back with you! I’ve been stressed about everything going on, and I do hope that they catch on soon too. I've had just about ever version they've made. We played this one called Blockbuster in reference to movies and it was fun because if you know a lot of movies it's somewhat easy but you have to act out some of hte titles. Lol. So you like tabletop games? Sounds fun! I gravitate toward video games more personally, but haven’t had too much time lately to play. There are definitely fun ones to try if you ever get a Switch! There’s Breath of the Wild of course, which I admit I am still holding off on finishing because I don’t want it to be over LOL, some Mario & friends party games if that’s your jam, as well as some really beautiful indie games (Gris for example!). Yay!! Sounds like we might have that in common. I have a huge appreciation for video games (and video game soundtracks is one of my favorite ‘genres’ of music, recognizing that they’re incredibly diverse of course), but I spend more time watching videos of other people playing them than playing them myself haha. We have a PS4 too. SpiderMan looked fun but I never tried it! I loved watching my partner play FFXV and Death Stranding. Trying to remember what I’ve actually finished on PS4, it’s been awhile lol... Oo I forgot I watched some of Horizon Zero Dawn too! Very impressive game. It looks like a lot of fun and I might try to play it myself in the future.. but like you said, it’s easy to get distracted. Life just likes to get in the way huh. Have you seen/heard of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice? Intennnnse. I’m an absolute coward when it comes to horror games (or movies) and somehow my partner tricked me into playing one of the scariest parts because he got too scared HAH. That being said, as much as I love really emotionally intense games, I love soft gentle ones too… especially chill co-ops! (I’m thinking of the one we played most recently, Pode… that was on Switch though.)

Yayy Yoongi! I really do love all of BTS, and while the maknae line ran off with my heart, I have a big soft spot for Yoongi. I was never really drawn to rap/hip-hop except maybe Linkin Park like in middle school am I dating myself until I met Yoongi and just… wow. ._. He’s so expressive in his delivery, his lyrics are heart-breakingly raw and honest, and he has extraordinary range between his gentlest material and the lines that come at you with a knife. Also I’m so proud of him for continuing to work as a producer and refine those skills on top of his life as an idol. What are your favorite things about Yoongi? If you can even choose haha 💗

That game was really fun honestly. I still haven't finished. And sameeee! I am not into the horror games. The movies I can do, but the games I'm just too scared to really play them. Dying over your Resident Evil reaction because... SAME lol. However. I have enjoyed watching some playthroughs of 7 and the remake of 2, which is the closest I will ever come to watching a horror movie again. xD I have really fond memories of playing Spyro at my cousin’s house as a kid, but haven’t tried the remake yet! It looks like fun too. There are too many good games to choose from, not nearly enough time to play lol.

If I may tell a story, my discovery of BTS went like this: heard a music clip in a YouTube ad of all places (normally skip them lol but I got it a couple times at work and thought hmm this is catchy). Then had to dive into some compilation videos to figure out which heckin song it was (turned out to be DNA). But along the way I found more songs I liked. And then I fell HARD for the Mic Drop MV (again, a little strange for me, because it’s pretty hip-hoppy). Jungkook makes this super intense expression at one moment that made me go oh. hello. So then I slowly learned who the different members were, and since this was me mostly streaming YT in the background at work haha, I had to keep switching tabs to check who was singing. I loved Jungkook’s singing but then also realized that I loved Jimin’s sweet voice too (yes I admit when I was first getting to know them, I could not always tell them apart). And THEN mister baritone Tae with his unique falsetto and delicious low range (I really wish they featured his chest voice more but OH WELL I digress) snagged my attention and ANYWAY long story short that’s how I fell in love with BTS and also the entire maknae line I guess. :’)

Yes, somehow my sister convinced me to get it like she was going to play the game too, and she did not. I ended up exchanging the game because I'm like this is a waste of money. haha. I usually always skipped them too, so I totally understand. Everyone I knew liked but I had stopped listening to kpop for a while after the members of Big Bang went into enlistment (sad sad times). I first heard Dope. The FBE Youtube channel reacted to them, and I'm like OKAY GUYS. 1/3 -sparkle 💫✨

When Jungkook hits that high note I was like COME THROUGH VOCALS. So then naturally I had to go and look a few more videos. This was during around the time they had appeared on the AMAs the first time. And then I listened to I Need U and Save Me (this is one of my favorites). And I was hooked. I went and watched their Ellen interviews, and they're so sweet. I ended up binge watching their variety show and Bon Voyage and I was hooked then. -sparkle 💫✨ 2/3

Run BTS was when I realized that Yoongi was my bias. Because I'll admit that I did not like him at first, but I said that already. And then I just realized how sweet and funny he actually his. And I think he's just shy at times. At least in the beginning, but he's so handsome and his stage presence is like a 360 from him being off stage. If that makes sense. The high notes in Dope are pretty ridiculous because they’re at the start of the phrase so they get little to no preparation lol. Their vocal abilities are truly impressive... and then they do it all while dancing :’)

I agree that Yoongi’s stage presence is strikingly different from his real self! Or the self we get to see in their behind-the-scenes content lol. Possibly like a lot of people, I thought he was super intimidating and tough until I saw more of him offstage... and then went awww he’s a big softie who just doesn’t pull his punches when he’s rapping and producing.

Do you have any favorite Run BTS episodes? So far I’ve only watched a handful of the recent ones, but all the random gifs and clips of older content warms my heart or makes me laugh. I’d like to eventually watch them all from the beginning... some day lol. (see all previous mentions of being too busy to do anything fun outside of work haha)

They are ridiculous. I love when they hit high notes in songs. All the boys have such a beautiful range, and I love hearing them. Especially when they do their solo songs. Jimin's solos are normally my favorite because his voice is the type I tend to lean towards a lot His stage presence is so different! Just like Jhope's. It's always so different, but it's them all in a nutshell, if that makes sense. Lol. I was in Chorus for a while, and I liked it begin in a group. -sparkle 💫✨1/2

The vocal line is so wonderful, but I’ve been increasingly impressed with the rap line’s singing too. I have always liked the beginning of Spring Day and I confess it took me an embarrassingly long time to wonder which one of them was singing, and I was surprised to learn that it’s Namjoon. Also his low line in Louder Than Bombs is wonderful... I don’t even care if it’s probably autotuned a little lolol. And I only recently found out about the song Sea, but Tae’s chest-range melody at the very end.. UGHGHGGH it’s too. good. (DEAR BIGHIT COMPOSERS, MORE BARI PLS.)

I had to sing in choir in grad school and ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would. (I’m a composer/pianist and I needed ensemble credit.) I’ve always been really self conscious about my voice, and now... I would love to take vocal lessons some day. While I know that no two people will play an instrument exactly the same, it’s kind of magical that you don’t know what the true sound or full potential of your own singing voice will be until you train it. Do you play any instruments? :)

The vocal line is amazing. I love all of their voices for different reasons, and sometimes I'm in the mood for one, and then another time I'm in the mood for another. If that makes sense. SPRING DAY!! 🌸🌸🌸 One of my all-time favorites. I honestly might not have a very good awareness of what is underrated and what isn’t, especially among older songs, but... I love Spring Day, The Truth Untold, Jamais Vu, and most recently Sea... lol hm I’m sensing a trend of bittersweet/melancholy songs. But also House of Cards (it’s just so delightfully WEIRD and dark and different??). On the other end of the spectrum (although not sure if it’s underrated?), Silver Spoon/Baepsae. What a jam. Love to tune out the world with that one at work on one of my walk breaks if I had a frustrating day. And maybe it’s too early to tell from MOTS 7, but I get the impression that I might love Louder Than Bombs way more than the average army. And that’s okay :)

We Are Bulletproof pt. 2 took awhile to grow on me but I was happy when it did. I can be a little odd about the order in which I listen to songs, and usually need to listen in album order, but for some reason I really like that one after No More Dream. Also, though it’s hardly underrated, I now know what all the fuss is about Cypher pt. 3. I’ve been gradually purchasing their older albums (kinda out of order) and finally got to Dark & Wild about a month ago haha. I’m listening to all these mad songs now. Been in a weird sad mood for a lot of today tbh and... mad bts is helping a little haha. So is chatting with you!

The Truth Untold is one of my favorites, and I normally don't like ballads a lot. It takes me a while to get into them, but this one just caught my eye. Oo that’s awesome that you’re learning Korean! Are you self-studying? How long have you been studying? I’ve been studying Japanese for several years (very slowly lol). Then a few months ago, thanks to BTS, I was suddenly really interested in learning Korean too. I worked on memorizing hangul for a week and then had a “lol what am I doing” moment when I realized I didn’t know nearly enough Japanese yet to realistically tackle two challenging languages at the same time. So Korean is on hold for now, but I really wish I could just… magically be fluent haha. It would be amazing to understand their lyrics or interviews/conversations on the spot without relying on translations. And English is stupidly difficult, so as much as I appreciate how much effort they’ve put into learning too… as an international fan, I wish I could return that effort too and learn their language so that they don’t feel like they need to learn English.

Love Yourself: Answer was my first album and I purchased that one specifically because it was a compilation and contained most of the individual songs I already knew I liked from YouTube haha. Then I expanded from there. To be honest, if I had found BTS when they were just getting started, or anytime before HYYH, I probably wouldn’t have connected with their music, sound-wise or thematically. But… they were exactly what I needed when I did finally find them. And now I have immense appreciation for their beginnings and how far they’ve come, even loving some older songs/styles that I never expected to. As I mentioned, I don’t usually listen to pop or rap/hip-hop… like ever haha. But something about them just reached into my heart and I’ll be forever grateful to them.

Yes! I am self learning. I have been doing it on and off for like two years, but the last part of last year I've been doing it most often. However with everything that's going on, it's kind of slowed down and I've just been focusing on what's going on in the world right now. I feel the same. I think if I would have found them before, I don't think I would have liked them as much as I do now. I think that’s awesome that you’re working on learning the language on your own! And I understand the challenges of keeping it up independently, especially in such strange and challenging times... I feel guilty that I stopped my daily kanji studying pretty much as soon as I started working from home. It was initially because I used my commute time to study (I’m in a vanpool) and... definitely lost some motivation once everything started changing. I know I shouldn’t be too hard on myself though for taking a break, and I hope you are not either. I’m hoping to get back into soon and reform some study time habits :)

Yeah it sounds like you’ve been listening to Kpop for a long time! ^^ Aside from my fairly recent BTS obsession, I gravitate toward moodier music in general haha. Evanescence was my instant favorite way back in middle school and... tbh I still listen to their albums sometimes! I tended to like anything indie-ish with piano or rock + orchestra. I loved this European band Within Temptation, their music is like a blend of rock and symphonic orchestra. Nowadays, I love video game music and that’s probably what I listen to the most... Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasyyy), who is probably one of my biggest inspirations for pursuing composition, Austin Wintory (Journey, Abzu, etc), and more recently Jessica Curry (everything the Chinese Room studio made lol). The past few days I’ve been streaming the songs from Death Stranding. I admit I don’t tend to have a lot of variety... I’m kind of picky and when I find something I love, I will listen to that obsessively over and over for months on end. Like BTS. xD No regrets haha! But I know I should broaden my horizons too...

I'm trying not to be so hard on myself, but I know I'll get back into it soon as I set a schedule for myself. Evanescence is amazing, that's all I got to say. A/N: We’re here. The end of this particular arc of the series. I still have a holiday request to fulfill (I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, but I didn’t know how the story was going to go and it would have messed up my ability to finish the story) for Hobi and reader, but that might be a while. I’m also working on finishing up a story I’ve had in my drafts for a while that didn’t go quite like I planned, but it should be fun. I’ve been pretty focused on editing and posting Army Medics on Ao3, so I haven’t done much in the way of some of my WIPs. Also, we got three feet of snow this past weekend, so there’s even more snow than before. My car was buried. Anywho: Thank you everyone who has read it and given me feedback, thanks for the likes, the comments, everything. I’m sorry it took so long for me to finish this series (I posted the prologue on Oct. 5th and the first part on Nov. 14th), but thanks for sticking with me for the journey! I love you all.

“Are you sure?” “Yeah. I’m sure. I mean, it’s a nice place and it’s actually not far from here. There’s a bus I can take to get to work, which will give me time to read.” You smiled down at the baby in your arms. “They’re adorable, Emma.” “I know.” She grinned down at her son, Jaehyun. “Is Aimi asleep?” “Yeah, she is,” You replied, setting her into the cradle before looking at Emma. “I should get going.” She set Jaehyun next to Ami, smiling as they curled into each other with soft, puppy-like sounds. You made a soft sound. “That’s adorable.” “Isn’t it? I missed when the triplets used to do this,” She lightly brushed their heads, then sat back and looked at you. “Have you talked to Hobi?” You shook your head. “No.” She nodded a little, tucking your hair behind your ear. “Are you going to?” You looked at your hands in your lap. “I…I don’t know.” She didn’t say anything more, simply rubbing your arm in a comforting manner. You looked up as Jungkook knocked lightly on the doorframe. “Hey, your bag is in Hobi’s car because he’s insisting on driving you.” You took in a deep breath, then nodded. “Okay, thank you.” He nodded, hesitating in the doorway before disappearing into the hallway. You got up and stretched. “Oh, time for another few hours of torture.” She laughed softly. “Don’t be so melodramatic. This give you the chance to talk to him. If it doesn’t go well, call me. Okay?” You nodded and hugged her. “Thank you for everything, Emma.” She hugged you tightly, then released. “I’m so glad you’re better.” “Well, as much as I can get better, yeah.” You sighed, smiling. The doctors said it was likely that now that they had started, you would continue to have seizures, probably for the rest of your life, and your vision in your left eye still fluctuated between blurry and blind, but your leg was fully functioning now. You were still not allowed to run and it still got tired long before your other did and would get sore, especially at night, but you could put weight on it and move. The triplets all nuzzled into your neck at once when you went to hug Nari goodbye first, causing you to laugh softly. “Why are you leaving?” Minsu asked, rubbing his cheek against your shoulder since Kaemon was blocking your neck. “Because I have to go back to living in my own place now that I’m all better,” You told him, pressing a kiss to his cheek, which prompted the other two to whine for kisses as well. Adorable. “But I like you being here,” Nari said. “Everything is good! I have a baby sister, and I have you and Hobi, and Eomma and Appa!” “And a baby brother,” You added. “I already had brothers, now I have a sister!” She said dramatically. “Be excited about both. Just think about it, one more kid to play with. You love your brothers.” She grinned at them. “I do.” Minsu giggled and playfully tackled her to the ground, rubbing his nose against hers. “You better.” Kaemon flopped on top of both, earning groans and giggly protests. Jin chuckled, watching them carefully from a distance. “Lunch is ready, pups.” “Food!” Minsu cheered. “Get off me! There’s food!” “He’s asleep. Again!” Nari let out a dramatic groan of disbelief. You laughed at their antics, standing and receiving the hugs from Jungkook, Jimin, and Jin. “I’ll see you on Monday,” Jin said, patting your shoulder. “It really was a pleasure having you with us. Don’t be a stranger.” “I’ll try not to be,” You answered, smiling and walking toward the door. Hoseok waved to his family, then followed you out. You two were almost to the summer house, your sister having left everything to you, when you finally broke the heavy silence. “I could’ve taken a taxi,” You started. He shook his head. “I won’t feel comfortable unless I know you’re okay.” “Right, because you feel responsible for me after seeing me get hurt,” You murmured, looking out the window. Anywhere but him. It was quiet again. “Wha…whe…” He made a couple more sounds like he wanted to ask a question before falling silent after a quiet and meaningful, “Oh.” You wouldn’t even look at him after he had parked in front of the house. He just sat in the drivers seat as you got out and went to the trunk to get your bag. You knocked on the trunk and he seemed to flinch before moving and popping the trunk, quickly getting out of the car. You carried the bag inside, even though you could sort of tell that he wanted to carry it for you. But you weren’t hurt anymore. He followed you inside. You set the bag on the couch and gestured around. “There. Happy? I’m safe.” He looked at you with surprise. “Y/n…can I talk to you? Sit with me?” “We sat in silence the whole ride, and you want to talk now?” He nodded, coming over and taking your hand, guiding you to sit beside him. “In the car, you said something about me feeling responsible for you after seeing you get hurt.” “I was just—” “Repeating what I said, that day in the bathroom back when you first got hurt. The day you were sick. I told you that.” He nodded. He seemed nervous. “I told you that my instincts went crazy after seeing you get hurt, and having your blood on me from carrying you to the hospital. But there was more to it. Sure, that’s enough to make a hybrid protective and attached…but when that happens and it’s someone that you like…really, really like…as in…romantically…well, it’s about ten times worse.” “Why are you—” “Not yet. Just, listen. Please. Hybrids can generally tell from a few interactions if someone they’re interested in could be a potential mate. We fall in love quickly. Easily. I’m not an exception. And seeing you that first day, with the kids? And then every time I saw you again…I got there early that day because I was hoping I could talk to you before your shift ended. Then the tornado, and the way you protect the kids. Risking yourself, getting hurt and then rubbing yourself on me so that hte kids wouldn’t notice my fear scent as much…” He was smiling warmly. “How could I not love someone as kind and caring as you?” Holy. Crap. You stared at him, unable to think of a proper response. “Then you got hurt. The guilt I felt…the anger…I couldn’t protect you, or keep you safe, because we were both trying to protect the kids and that led to you getting hurt and it killed me. Because I had to choose and I wanted to choose you, but it was too late and I knew that I would never be able to forgive myself if the kids…and you were so alone…” He was starting to get a little fragmented. “I know you think caring for you was burdensome and unflattering, but honestly, I’ve never really been happier because I got to be close to you and try and help you get better. And you did. And while there were times when you were discouraged you always put up a cheerful front for the pups and…taking care of them with you that week that all that crazy stuff happened was honestly the best week of my life because I got to pretend that we were really together, that they were our kids and we were in love and I had to tell you that I love you because if I don’t I think I might go crazy.” You blinked rapidly at him. “I love you. I love your stubbornness and compassion, and the way you sleep is adorable.” He was holding both of your hands. You weren’t even sure if you were blinking anymore. “Please tell me you aren’t having a seizure while I’m explaining all of this because I might cry if you are.” “I’m not,” You said softly, finally dragging your gaze from him to try and process everything. “That punk.” “What?” “Jungkook. He couldn’t have just said that I was being stupid and that you liked me too. I’ve been driving myself crazy, over something I could have had months ago because of you and your stupid explanations about hybrids and their sense of duty,” You hit him with a couch pillow. “Are you kidding me?! Do you realize, I’ve been tearing myself apart inside thinking that you, the most amazing man I have ever known, saw me as nothing more than your patient and that I would never stand a chance with you. I stopped almost every fantasy, I shunned every niggling idea of something more because…” You let out a shout of frustration. “I love you too, idiot.” He grinned and pulled you to him, lips pressed to yours in a kiss that you wouldn’t forget anytime soon. He had to be a god. “So much better than I thought it would be,” He murmured, kissing you several more times afterward. “Shh,” You scolded, locking onto his lips again. His lips parted from yours, kissing the scar on your face. “I’m moving in. You shouldn’t live alone when you could have a seizure at any time.” “Ok.” “I have to be at Emma and Jin’s before Jin goes to the Sanctuary, so you can ride with me to the house and then with Jin to the Sanctuary.” He tucked his head into your neck. “Mmmm,” You responded semi-coherently. “You’re stuck with me forever.” “However will I manage?” Your response was half-heartedly sarcastic and rhetorical, earning a chuckle from him. He kissed you again. “I’m mating you tonight.” You smiled up at him. The man that had driven you crazy for the past four months. “Fine, but you only have three years before I insist on having kids.” He grinned. “Sounds perfect.” He kissed you again, soft and sweet, then pressed his forehead to yours. “I love you.” “I love you too. More than you could ever imagine.” Maybe life wasn’t perfect and you had lost a lot, but you had Hoseok. “What did you say that night?” “What night?” “The night Emma and Jin went to the hospital to have the twins. I said they’ve got good genes, and you said something else, but I was half-asleep.” He pulled you into his arms completely, laying down with you after kicking your suitcase off of the couch. He was mostly on top of you, forehead pressed against your temple. “I said that ours would be cuter.” Nevermind. Everything bad was worth this perfect moment with him. “So…did you actually want to wait three years, or was that just in case I wanted to wait a few years? Cause, I’ve sort of had to deal with watching and imagining you as the mom to my pups so…” “Oh, that was totally for you, I’ve had baby fever ever since you said ‘our kids’ when I told you to tell people that the triplets were your kids.” “I don’t need the years.” “Then we’ll discard the years.” “Do you need time to adjust to the idea of us being in a relationship?” “Now that I look back on it, aside from the whole sex, sleeping together, and romance we were basically a married couple so not much really changes except I can stop torturing myself.” You nodded. “Huh. I guess you’re right.” “Yeah.” He pressed a kiss to your cheek. “This is really comfortable.” “It is,” You agreed, yawning. “Nap time?” “Totally nap time.” He wiggled a little, getting more comfortable, fluffy tail covering your legs as well as his. “Goodnight, y/n. Love you.” “Goodnight, Hobi.” His hold on you tightened and he grinned. You pressed a chaste little kiss to his lips. “I love you.”

But also,, written fics😩 we barely have any but lemme tell you we came a long way because when I first came here I could barely find any. most of the written works were headcannons and imagines,, but I see lots of writers are branching out and doing written fics and one shots which is very cool of them🤩🤩🤩 smaus are in their popular era so I think a lot of writers are fascinated with trying to make one ( me included) but I feel genuinely bad sometimes because there are many writers on here writing full length fics and barely getting engagement because people aren't that interested in reading long pieces. I hope it doesnt discourage them tho,, even tho they might feel that way. Also, with tumblrs shitty algorithm. It's hard to gain exposure because people prefer to like rather than reblog. And like,, if you don't get a lot of notes within say, they first day or two or very hard for people to find them and read them unless others reblog it onto their dash

Gone series by Michael grant. First book seemed interesting then it turned into some children’s torture porn like lord of the flies gone wild type shit and some dystopian type levels writing that only a white dude would come up with and I attempted to keep reading but even 15 year old me, who was able to read and digest anything at the time, could not finish this series after like book 3 or something. I remember in college reading some summary of what happened in the series after book 3 and it was just so fucking dark and not in an edgy way. Literally fuck that series and it takes a lot for me to feel that way tbh but I tend to hover on neutral for most things I read or watch if it’s not problematic. I can’t even remember if it was problematic but that series should not be advertised to children. There’s a summary of the series on Wikipedia, I skimmed through it to see if I was exaggerating but no, it was as bad as I remember. It’s like the writer was a sadist on an acid trip. Maybe bc I was young that it had such a reaction from me but like I remember the Uglies was kind of dark and I still enjoyed it. But no, this series was just all kinds of weird. Anyway, don’t read it

Marichat prompt: Aged up

Late one evening, Paris's masked protector Chat noir stood ever vigil at the ready to stop any crime should it occure. Nothing will stand in the way of justice, of Paris's greatest hero, of--"

"Greatest hero, huh?" a voice interrupted Chat Noir's narrating, causing the hero to stuble on the ledge of Notre Damm. Saidh ero flaied as he teetered, nearly falling if the one who had startled him had not imediatly grabbed onto his tail.

"Careful, mon chatton. I'm not one who buys into the whole myth of cats having nine lives"

After regaining his balance, Chat Noir spun around, heart pounding fom the near death experience. When he saw who had startled him his heart all but stopped. It was the last person he had expected.

"Ladybug?"

"Who else would it be, silly kitty?" She smiled at him. Chat Noir rushed over to her, embrassing her in a firm hug.

"My lady," his voice cracked. How long had it been since he had seen her? Pulling back, but not quite releasing her he asked, "When did you get back in Paris?"

Ladybug pulled on the braid that was draped on her shoulder.

"I only just got back a couple hours ago."

"It's so good to see you. I missed you so much." He cupped her cheek.

"And I You," She placed her had over his hand as he bent down for a kiss. They looked at each other for one more moment before pulling completely apart.

Ladybug looked over the city that never seemed to sleep, taking in the beauty of the Eiffel Tower. She hadn't seen any of if for nearly a year. She smiled at Chat, their hands still clasped.

"I see Paris is still standing, so I guess I left it in good hands, hm?"

Chat clutched at his chest in mock offense.

"Oh you wound me, my lady. I'm just as good at my job, even without my Partner."

She smiled, raising an eyebrow. "And how many times have I had to save you while we were fighting Hawkmoth, mon chatton?"

"I feel as if I were the one saving you, My Lady." They got into each other's faces in a staring contest. It last a full minute before they burst into giggles.

"It IS good to see you tho, My Lady. I see you've changed your hair. It looks great." he ran his hand over the braid, fingering the red bow at the end.

"Thanks. I couldn't very well keep wearing pigtails, considering my day job." She looked him over. "I see you've let your's grow out. It's nice."

She indicated his hair he had in a low ponytail. He gave a cocky grin.

"Yeah, I've let it grow out a little. Wait till you see HIS hair. He leaves it loos and free."

"Does he now? I can't wait." She leaned against him, and he wrapped an arm over her shoulders.

Before long they knocked off their patrol. While still in costume they walked along La Seine.

“So do you have a place to stay?” Chat asked. Ladybug shrugged.

“I was planning on staying at my parents, but its so late. I don’t want to wake them up when I show up.

As they talked they walked past said baker. It stood quiet and dark, it’s inhabitants obviously asleep. They continued their stroll. It was late enough that at this point most of Paris was now asleep. The quiet was nice. Ladybug reverted her transformation first, releasing her kwami. Chat stopped in his tracks to stare at Marinette as Tikki settled on her shoulder.

“Wow, Princess, you look absolutely ravishing this evening!” Chat said with a roguish smile.

She stood in a dark red stripped skirt, her top was a solid black long sleeve shirt and over the outfit was a worn leather jacket. her hair hung in a braid straight down her back, hanging below her shoulders. She slapped him in the chest, shaking her head.

“You’re just saying that, Chat.”

Chat took her hand, kissing it gently on the knuckles.

“Absolutely not. You are the prettiest view in Paris tonight. Much more than the tower reflected in the river.”

Marinette blushed, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. Chat placed one more kiss on her hand.

“You know, you could always come stay at my apartment”

“Oh? I didn’t know you moved out,” She responded, taking his proffered elbow.

“It took a lot of pushing to get my father to agree to it, but he finally did consent that I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself and live outside the house.”

“I bet. What about ‘the Gorilla?’” She asked, wiggling her fingers in a spooky kind of motion.

Chat shook his head. “Oh he’s still around, unfortunately.” He chuckled at hte look of horror on her face. “Don't worry, he’s not living with me. Just in the apartment next to mine.

Marinette shook her head. “That's good, he definitely would make for an interesting roommate.”

“Indeed.”

They walked in silence for a few minutes, hand in hand

“Chat, May I ask why you’re still in costume?”

“Well, what kind of a hero would I be if I wasn't able to protect such a lovely lady as yourself?” He said it in such a boastful voice that Marinette burst into laughter. Chat grinned in response.

“Very well them, I think it’s safe enough tho. I would love to see my boyfriend SOMEtime tonight.”

“As you wish, My Lady.” He said bowing, before reverting his own transformation. Marinette looked over Adrien’s revealed appearance. His outfit was a pair of slacks and a dark blue turtle neck. His kwami landed on his shoulder immediately demanding Camembert. Adrien ran a hand thru his hair which hung just above his shoulders in a neat way. Marinette couldn't help but giggle.

Once his Kwami had his cheese, the duo resumed their walk.

They continued arm in arm.

“So Marinette, how long are you going to be in town? Are you going back overseas?”

“Actually, that’s why i came by. I got an offer by a very prestigious clothing line.”

“Oh?”

“Yes. They gave me quite an offer too. I graciously accepted.”

Adrien felt quite nervous now, as they headed towards his flat.

“You did? That’s great!” He tried to sound happy. He WAS happy for her. Marinette had always been a great designer. That’s why she had traveled overseas to a prestigious design school in another country. But the fact that she had this opportunity, it could mean that she would be traveling again. Maybe even gone even longer.

“Adrien?” Marinette called him out of his thoughts.

“Sorry.” He said sheepishly.

“It’s ok, but you didn’t hear me, obviously. The prestigious designer is your father, goofball!” She giggled at the look of releif on his face. He gave her a grin, and she gave him a peck on his cheek. “And, I’m back to stay in Paris. Atleast for the rest of the school year. I just had my records transferred.”

“Really? Which school?” He asked.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” She replied, pulling back.

“Yes, I would.”

She let go of his hand, walking backwards.

“Well, if you can catch me, Maybe I’ll tell you.” And she took off running, “Tikki, Spots on!”

“Oh no you don’t!” He called out, smiling in adoration, calling for Plagg so he could chase after the love of his life. It was funny, for the longest time it was like a piece of him was missing, and now it was back. And for good.

Lucy had wanted to go to Maine alone to speak with her father But Kyle has insisted on coming. Her Mother’s Boyfriend was stalking her and she needed to talk to the Collins Family lawyer. “Dad, i know it’s been three years since the last time we spoke to eachother.”

Quentin Looked at her “Where is the young man you came with?”

Lucy “Kyle is waiting in the drawing Room. This is a matter for us. I lost Monty’s phone number and he’s the best lawyer I know. I need restraining order against Mom’s boyfriend.”

Meanwhile in the Drawing room

Kyle was talking to to lee., Lucy’s half brother “I believe if you love someone you should never hurt them.”

Lee looked at him “It is okay to be nervous in this house even the people who live here are sometimes on edge.” he laughed “How did you meet my younger sister?”

“That is a long story.” the younger man said “You are her half brother does that mean you have the same father?”

“mm-hmm.” he paused “it is an embarassign story as we were raised as cousins and we eventualkly figured out that Quentin is my father too.” they stood up as Lucy and Quentin entered and Kyle went over to Lucy and kissed her “

Quentin “We are goign to Bangor for Dinner.” he said “Grab your coats. Monty is meeting us there.”

“Who is Monty.”

“Desmond Kendrick Collins. the Collins Family Attorney.” she said

“So monty still refuses to Come to collinwood?”

“he has a good reason.” the one member of the family who wasn’t in the house was presently in sanitarium because he had killed six people including desmond’s wife.

A few days later at the memorial service for the Bus Crash, “No Dad please this is memorial service don’t start a scene.” her mother had come and her boyfriend had tagged along.

Lee “You know he will Lulu.” Lucy grabbed Kyle’s hand and a few minutes later security was pulling Quentin off of the other man. A short time later At Lucy’s grandmother’s house. Both Quentin and the other man had been taken to Jail.

Kyle Looked at Lucy as she sat there “Lucy” ut was ckear she was tryign not to cry. “Is this the reason you told him not to come back to New Orleans with Us.” he sats down and placed his hand o nhers.

“The men in my family have volatile personalities.it is the reason I hesitated contacting hi mto talk to Desmond. I knew as soon as he was told he would choose the worst possible option for what to do next.”

“Sometimes i wonder if Lee and I are the only sane living people in our family.” she rested her head on his shoulder “i am goign to tell you why we didnlt have dinner in Collinsport at all. No one in the town trusts us because my Uncle is the Collinsport Ripper. he killed six people that he admitted to.” she said., as she laughed nervously. “Now you understand why I always pass when we are asked to discuss our families in the support group.” she scrunched her nose up when he kissed it

“At least now I understand why you wanted to stay with me the night of accident. you knew I didn’t want to be alone. I could have phrased that better. i can see in your eyes you are worried about becoming like them.”

“Lulu, Kyle is right. You have proven you can be your own person. in spite of everythign that has happened to you.” Desmond said sitting next to her. he was in his early 30s but he appeared to be barely older than Lucy and Kyle. “Your father wants you to live your life. as soon as everythign is resolved here he will return to Collinsport and you don’t need to speak to him again if you don’t want to.”

“Monty, tell him it has never been him i avoid it is Collinwood itself. the house holds the energy of everything that has happened there.” she stated.”Ask lee to stop subtley flirtign with my boyfriend i know he’s Handsome.”

Kyle laughed for the first time in three days. “nice back door compliment there.” later in her dorm room. he had been afraid to be in the frat house “We should Move into the Co-ed dorms. people are talking.”

“Let them we know the truth that is all that matters. this is the first time you’ve been away from my family since you met them last week.”

“they seem protective of you.”

“They are. last time i was there they were trying to get me to decide if wanted to take responsibility for my half of the estate.” she had been trying so hard to be seen as somethign aside from Collins Heiress but she was also extroverted for reasons that were understandable.

He glanced over at her “I know i need to go back ot the frat house i wnat you there with me.” they knew it would take a while for hte paperwork for them to live in co-ed dorms together. but they needed each other “I looked up the collinsport ripper on the main Historical Society website. That lehgitimately happened ten hours after your previous visit. Do you blame yourself for living?”

“I am survivor by a fluke. i was supposed to leave the next day but a seat opened on an earlier flight.“

a few days later at the Support meeting..... “I am ready to tell about the first time he completed the act.” Lucy took a deep breath and ten minutes later “he made me feel like no one else could love me. And Thanks to Kyle I know other people are capable of caring about me.” she sighed and after the meeting she went to the therapist who ran the support group “Kyle is sorry he couldnlt be here today the griief counceling was schedule for the same time as this meeting and he didn’t want to cancel his first grief counciling session.”

“You’ve come so far Miss Collins. I am glad you were able to tell the story.”

“Dr. Bradford, i am applying for an order to keep my mother’s boyfriend away from me. if there is any kind of trial would yo be there as moral support.” she asked

“Yes I will.” he said with a smile... “have a good afternoon. I am late for my meditation class.” he said

That evenign when Lucy woke up Kyle was sitting watching her “You seemed to have reached another milestones in your life.”

“I was able to tell the story of the first time he went all the way. Without crying while telling it. I couldnl even make it through that story with my therapist without crying.” she said up and stretched “That look on your face. hat does it mean.”

“To make ammends for his his behavious at hte memorial service, your father called me and offered to help me build a lace for us to live together.”

“Damn his precognitive abilities make him jump about three steps ahead.”

“Admit you knew he was goign to Punch your mother’s boyfriend.”

“no.”

“you’re full of shit.”

“fine. i was hopign he would just punch i didnlt expect them to bother be arrested though.” she said “please don’t be mad at me.” she said as he sat on the bed and she nuzzled her face into his neck.

“Lucero Marie Collins. I am not Mad at you, i mean if hadn’t been wanting keep you from hurting yourself I would have punched him myself.” he turned around smiling at her and she relaxed “i will admit somethign to you. the first time you came to the support group i was surorised anyone like you would experience troubles like that. I need a nap. the grief counciling is emotionally exhausting.”

While Kyle slept she decided to write a full description of what she had told everyone in the group. when he woke up “I know you didn;t ask for me to tell you but i don’t want to verbalize i again so i write it down. you can read it.” he looked at her “I am goign to get us smethign to eat. you can read it while i am gone.” when she returned he just stared at her for a few minutes.

and he went over to her and hugged her tight to him “he made you feel the way my mother made me feel. I promise i will do my best to never let anyone make you feel empty.”

“Empty was the only word i could think of.” she wrapped ehr free arm around him “I Have Food.”

“Let’s go for a walk.” he said as they went outside after getting their coats.

I mean I also write fucked up stories with torture and stuff. thankfully I have never had anyone telling me to not write that kidna stuff (i did get an anon saying i should stop writing sombra because she’s awful but that’s a story for another day), and i’m sorry if it has happened to you.

honestly it is a very thin line. as writers it is our responsibility to tag, block, and do whatever we can so ppl that don’t want to see our stuff dont see it. Make it easy. Help other people out.

basically its kind of like... no one can win here. we may write fucked up stuff and hte best we can do is try to make it so only people that wants to see it see it, retairate that no- we may write it but we don’t actually like going around torturing people.

ah well in regards to your theme, usually the theme makers are okay with minor changes (sometimes major ones too) as long as you keep the credit and the changes are for personal use (as opposed to commercial use/redistribution, etc). just to be sure, you can just check their rules. they usually have that whole page/pop up or will simply include it in their theme code.

hmm what do you mean by boxes for previews? i don’t think i’ve ever seen such as thing. it sounds interesting, though. are they previews for like posts or…?

also, when he sees asuma’s guardian shinobi thing the first thing that comes to mind is kakuzu and how he’d want him for the money and he’s like u gh but like !!!

and AND when hidan at first thinks he’s accidentally killed kakuzu in his fight with shikamaru & co., he has that look of panic ooooh my god I JUST GASHUDFJSDIJASD

also hidan is just hilarious. like when they go to recruit him he’s like “who are you guys, all wearing the same clothes?? are you guys an orchestra or band or something?”

but anyways, after his “fight” he loses his other arm because kakashi and now he’s armless BUT THIS KID STILL HOLDS HIS OWN though completely on the defense AGAINST TEAM GAI LIKE WHAT THE FUCK HE’S AMAZING and then he manages to create a bomb without using any sort of handseals and fools them all into thinking he’s dead

i love this boy give him a metal why did he have to die so early why (yet another reason why i dislike sasuke lmfao)

black zetsu scares the fuck out of me (esp when i learned of his true past and intentions) but white zetsu!! he’s such a sweetie holy shit

I JUST REALLY LIKED THAT TIME WHEN HE BURSTS INTO THE 5 KAGE SUMMIT AND HE’S LIKE “HALLLLOOO!!!!!!” WITH THE ARMS AND EVERYTHING DAW OMG

and also unlike so many others he actually likes everyone and when he saves deidara he’s like “you’re a fun guy to be around” and then and then later when he’s talking to tobi he reveals that he’s sad that so many of the akatsuki members died like D::

let’s not forget when black zetsu called him weak (they had split in two at the time) and white zetsu just kind of D: and wilts a little like ooHH NO oo baby it’s okay it’s okay

konan is so strong… holy crap… like… her ultimate attack? with the bajillion paper explosive tags disguised as a lake?? that go off for 10 minutes? holy fuck.

yahiko’s pretty damn hot if you ask me (yes i know he’s a cadaver in the main time period but listen)

idk my favorite arc of the entire thing was pain’s invasion of konoha… like from the moment jiraiya’s message arrived to when everyone got revived…. and then kakashi almost became hokage…

it was fantastic

i think it’s mainly because it was a mystery, race against time, battle thing all in one and it was so neat i guess

also you could see everyone in the village working together, fighting their hardest, showing their potentials for like, the first time ever

um um um okay sasori mentally scarred me as a child, and now whenever i hear the rattling puppet noises i immediately think of these scary nightmares i had after watching his fight with sakura… yeah, puppets scare me a lot now

orochimaru is a creep ‘nuff said moving on

tobi! i love this alternate ego of obito/”madara” like idk he’s so jumpy and honestly it’s fucking hilarious watching him because he’s so secretly op certain people underestimate him at first (and then others overestimate him because of his association with akatsuki)

like. when he was warding off konoha from itachi vs sasuke’s fight (which i am still emo about) he was just like playing whack-a-mole with them and then he’s like lemme use this ability! frill-necked lizard!

and they all kinda stand and stare at him intensely execting something legit

but in reality that’s it. the extent of htat ability is just him hanging upside down with the cloack falling behind him to look like a frill-necked lizard

and it’s fucking hilarious

i also thought it was fucking adorable when he and deidara first confront sasuke

and the little bitch goes ahead and slices through him

literally through him

and HE MAKES THE MOST ADORABLE NOISE BEFORE FALLING FLAT ON HIS FACE GAH

but sasuke thinks that he actually killed him and sasuke’s all like “one down”

IRUKA SENSEI

he’s such a blessing. he’s literally one of those crucially important side characters and i appreciate him and i love him and it would’ve been nice to see more of him, but hey, that’s okay too.

(his part in the naruto road to ninja movie had me in tears. like at the end. fucking tears.)

like naruto and kakashi may be super close and stuff, but when he needs someone as a guardian, naruto turns to iruka and idk i feel that says a lot about their relationship and it makes me cry all the fucking time

um anyways yes i also love zabuza

he’s so strong and empowered

AND THAT WHOLE ARC MADE ME CRY A LOT TOO AND THE FACT THAT IT BECOMES SUCH AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE STORY MAKES ME SO FUCKING HAPPY

i have a lot more the say probably but it’s getting late and i need to take a shower and sleep and get up early in the morning to make food so i’ll just leave it at that
