I'm still confused by how not-convincing Elon Musk sounds every time I hear him talk.
Given who he is, and the cash money and what-not, I expected him to be really charismatic and convincing, like a used car salesman who doesn't SOUND like a used car salesman?
I can actually HEAR his lack of sincerity, and it's baffling to me.

mx daily figures what r ur thoughts on the new nendo boxes... I'm conflicted bc I do like the thought of less plastic but the iconic window 😭
ah well i lost interest in collecting nendos so it's not really my problem and i haven't given it too much thought. i do think it's a brave step, they probably knew many people wouldn't like the new boxes but they did do what's right and i gotta respect that!
i do agree it doesn't look as pleasing but i think we'll get used to it. kinda like paper straws, it's not the most ideal thing ever but we'll live.

HI GUYS MOD HERE IM SO SORRY
Another quick Daily Nyarinder coming soon! Plus… a challenge? 👀
An explanation for my absence + details on an upcoming Daily Nyarinder event under the cut!!
So kinda personal bt my therapist left her practice unexpectedly so I got off my adhd and depresso meds at the same time as I was moving to another house and I just… really lost steam and haven’t had the energy to work on this project orz
i love cotl with all my heart! But my main fandom is svsss (shout out to kamkamquats on twt, this blog was inspired by their dailybingpup!! 💖) and trying to move all my shit over from twitter to bluesky so it doesn’t feed Elon Musk’s ai has also taken a lot of energy that would have been spent drawing for both cotl and svsss.
Additionally, last time I checked this blog I got some anon asks trying to pull me into fandom wank. The admin of this account is a grown adult with a spouse, a house, community protests to organize/attend, cosplays to make, a startup business to take care of; online fandoms are my comfort place and have been since I was 13, and as such I resolved years ago to stay away from fandom drama and just do what makes me happy. I’m really used to how chill and sweet svsss fandom is, so it was kinda startling to remember that younger fandoms are very drama-prone. I deleted those messages, but it still left a sour taste in my mouth whenever I came back to this blog.
As such, I’ve been on a break. And I probably will continue this hiatus until things settle on bluesky and I can spend more time on my friend’s cotl discord server to get my motivation back.
-
THAT SAID, I hope to do a little daily nyarinder art challenge for anyone who still follows this blog! Instructions and rules will be posted separately later today, but the idea is thus:
“YOU, dear reader, are just as wonderful, creative, and capable an artist as any cultist here. What do YOU want to see in Daily Nyarinder’s escapades? Pick up a craft and get creating! Use whatever you’ve got—whether it’s a fancy tablet, ibispaint on a touchscreen phone (that’s how dailynyarinder has been made so far 👀), a pen and the back of a receipt, needle and thread, hook and yarn, scrapbooking paper and scissors, a word doc and a keyboard, a camera, etc etc etc. Whatever medium brings you joy and renews your belief in our benevolent God of Death, this humble Narinder blog calls upon you to make and share a Daily Nyarinder post of your own!
Skill level doesn’t matter in the face of creativity. Whether you’re a renowned oil painter, a fanfic author, a newbie artist, or a kid who just really likes cats, all offerings are encouraged and welcome!
As for content rules, the Nyarinderverse is full of strange and unusual things; anything goes! HOWEVER, since this is a sfw blog and is followed by lots of minors, I’ll ask that if anyone participating decides to draw nsfw content, please make sure it is appropriately tagged and locked behind some sort of link—whether it’s a link to twitter, privatter, or elsewise. Any NSFW that isn’t hidden from immediate view will not be reblogged on this blog. If and when I reblog potential nsfw content, it will be tagged “NSFW” BY ME BY AS WELL so that my followers can filter it out if they need.
Any characters, ships, potential squicks or triggers, etc should be tagged appropriately.
Please know that this blog will never, EVER harass or condone/encourage harassment based on what you make, but as the mod I retain the right to not reblog works that squick me out personally. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t make them; it just means they might not all appear here.
Works may be posted separately under the hashtag #DailyNyarinderChallenge or submitted to this blog!
Finally, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!”
^^^ the challenge text will be reposted with some promotional artwork later, but does this sound like it would be a fun event? Let me know what you think.
Look forward to the resolution of the current daily nyarinder arc this week! But then I’ll likely go back on break again until things settle. 💖🐈‍⬛

what's been happening in the world of motorsports lately?
a long overdue summary which is not including absolutely everything but at least some important stuff. there is a lot, so i'm putting it under the read more button :)
Jack Doohan confirmed to partner Gasly in Alpine for 2025
Ferrari will be bringing upgrades for Monza (and Fernando had something to say about their performance over the next two races……)
after the court decided that Haas owes Uralkali they were told to send unspecified amount of money as unpaid sponsorship bid to them but their trucks were literally held hostage in Zandvoort (after Uralkali got help from Dutch court), not allowed to leave with the rest of the teams until the transaction was finalized and the money ended up in Uralkali’s account, but that is sorted for now so they don’t expect to miss out on Monza
Liberty Media are selling a share in F1 to have enough funds to get Moto GP
if you weren’t already tired of it, there is another rumour of Logan losing his seat mid-season, this time either to Mick or Liam Lawson that James Vowles apparently spoke to after Logan crashed in FP3 and ultimately broke the upgrades he was fitted with for the weekend (Wolff confirmed that Kimi won’t be going to Williams for the rest of the season but didn’t rule out Mick as he “offered” him to James… he might get sold to 1d you guys), there is also possibility for Franco Colapinto to actually choose from their own junior academy
Helmut Marko said that Liam Lawson will have a seat in one of their teams in 2025, Horner said he might be on loan to another team at the same time (choose your fighter)
Lewis’ current race engineer Bono (Bonnington) will stay in Mercedes and even gets a promotion as Head of Race Engineering after Lewis’ departure, while Lewis will inherit Ricky (Adami) from Carlos in Ferrari
also Checo’s race engineer is leaving for paternity leave, so they prepared a switch up to make his current performance engineer Richard Wood (sorry but you mean to tell me there is a guy and his name is Dick Wood????? in a world where Prince Albert is real well? ok) temporarily his race engineer
Toto had a lil Freudian slip and said that they had a small chance to get Max which has now passed but they are happy about their Goerge-Kimi line up for 2025
Kimi will also have junior outing in fp1 in Lewis’ car in Monza
there are rumours about a potential F1 race in Rwanda as Domenicali had more meetings to ensure that over the summer break, it should be a permanent track and not a street circuit, so I take this as a big win (now if only we took existing track and upgraded them instead of making new ones)
Lando’s gap between p1 and p2 was the biggest winning margin all season not as big as his ego though, knowing he said “simply lovely” after crossing the checkered flag as a dig at Max lol (Sauber drivers were lapped twice I think, as much for the cars being close in performance we thoughts we could see this year)
Alex was disqualified from quali in Zandvoort because his floor was outside of compliance of the rules, so he had to start from the pitlane although he got to p8 on merit
Liberty Media are officially under investigation for rejecting Andretti’s bid to become 11th team by the US Department of Justice’s antitrust division
Charles is on the new edition of Beyond the Grid podcast which is now also available in video form (all I saw about it so far is that he wants to win with Ferrari only and he believes they can do it, he name dropped Elon Musk ew and he said Leo pees everywhere)
Zak Brown refused McLaren would be signing Adrian Newey
Nina Gademan was the wildcard for Zandvoort’s F1 Academy race and she SLAYED
Isotta Fraschini ends in WEC before the season is done so you won’t see the only private team on the grid for the last three races
despite (or maybe because) being Ferrari reserve driver, Robert Schwartzman got a chance to have a junior outing in fp1 for Stake in Zandvoort
FIA officially banned asymmetrical brakes in fear it could bring advantage (in turns) – it can be either a reaction to someone’s grey area shady business this year or reaction to teams questioning the new technical rules for 2026 onwards
Oscar got his rib broken because of wrong seat/seating position and it happened around Austria/Silverstone, but he is fully healed by now
Audi is looking at Mick and Liam Lawson as some potential candidates for the seat (but also Valtteri and now apparently Robert Schwartzman and Guanyu too – Valtteri because he posted an Audi car with number 77 on it, Robert because of his junior outing in fp1 and Guanyu because of possible sponsorship deals)
Helmut Marko yapped about Seb Vettel and that it is no secret besides Red Bull he was asking one or two other teams if they have a free seat for him
there was also the one Kyle guy from??? Nascar I think? thinking he is overall better driver than Max Verstappen which is honestly just a bit funny
gentle reminder that the drivers now have to be way more careful on the radio about swearing and talking about stewards and race control, because FIA will now be penalizing such behaviour as misconduct (Ben Sulayem also linked it all to online abuse which is a campaign he focused on with his presidency)
Mattia Binotto will have “full responsibility” in Audi because they are apparently happy about how much experience he has, especially in the technical department
Peter Bayer said that if it goes like that Yuki will be considered for 2025 Red Bull seat
Peter Windsor said that one driver is doing rally testing in secret and doing good results among uncertain F1 future and that he won’t tell who it is but it’s not Max (and then Val was asked about it because he could be the one with uncertain future and he denied it)
Ferrari will be switching to pull-rod front suspension for 2025
Oscar started his own app similarly to Logan
Porsche said after they failed to partner with Red Bull, they closed the F1 chapter and don’t wanna pursue another entry into the series
David Malukas is no longer jobless, he signed multiyear contract with AJ Foyt in Indycar
Zane Maloney tested with IndyCar in Indianapolis
BBS won’t be supplying wheel rims after 2026 to everyone so it will be one of the parts teams can get from any supplier they wish
Domenicali wants more changes to the weekend structure in the future – probably more sprints and less FPs or none at all (or points for them), maybe even reverse grid
(not sure if I already wrote this down in previous round up but) Nyck de Vries will go to Super Formula starting round 5
Fionn McLaughlin and Scott Linblom joined Red Bull junior academy
the complaint against Horner has been dismissed (are you kidding me)
Marta Garcia debuted in GT racing in Ligier European Series JS2 R and lost podium from the first race due to penalty only to win the second race
Zak Brown is apparently trying to take away team’s veto/voting rights for the new Concorde Agreement that is being finalized for future decisions
Adidas is apparently in talks with Audi to become their clothing partner
Juri Vips was meant to drive an indycar race but I didn’t put enough effort into this to find out if he really did teehee :)
(Bonus from my fave gossipers: They are set on Newey going to Ferrari, the talks about Aston bring up his value though, something his manager Eddie Jordan is well aware of. Also there are talks about the Ferrari upgrades for Monza and that they will be black – deleted everything else because they already posted the black merch and suits so they were right about this lol)

Dear Mr X...
It’s hard to give up a relationship, even when it has become toxic. Even when it brings you no joy, it’s hard to accept the fact that you’re better off without it. To look at the time you spent building it, to write off those years and start again can feel like jumping off a cliff into a bottomless precipice. You start to think of all the things you’ll lose if the relationship ends; the good times, the shared friends, the laughter and the memories. Your heart sinks at the thought of trying to rebuild all that from scratch. The time. The work. The energy. It feels like a bereavement.
I feel like that about Twitter now. A relationship that began fifteen years ago, when I was someone different, and the platform was new and hopeful and designed for communication, rather than spreading division. Sometimes I still find myself mourning that time; the friends I made; the stories I wrote, the thousands of incarnations of the Shed. Some of my friends have been left there for good, their Twitter accounts frozen in time; their words all that remains of them. Perhaps that’s why I’m reluctant to leave, even though the bluebirds have flown, and even the logo is changing to something that looks to me a lot like a modified swastika – an apt comparison, given the way in which certain voices and political views have been given unasked-for prominence, while others seem to have vanished altogether from my feed. Feed someone garbage for long enough, and they start to sicken and die. That’s what happening via this site. I have watched it happening ever since Elon Musk arrived - a man so cartoonishly self-obsessed that it’s hard to even believe he’s real, except that no writer of fiction or game designer would dream of creating such a crass and substandard character.
X. What a choice of symbol.
X marks the spot for pirates in search of buried treasure. X is the mark of a person who is unable to write their name. X is the identity of someone who needs to stay anonymous. It’s a voter’s mark; an erasure; a mystery; a chromosome.
And it’s also an occult symbol, a rune: the rune Gyfu according to the Old English Futhorc, and Gebo in the Elder Futhark; both of which translate as “gift”.
The Anglo-Saxon rune poem that accompanies it goes like this:
ᚷ Gẏfu gumena bẏþ gleng and herenẏs, ƿraþu and ƿẏrþscẏpe and ƿræcna gehƿam ar and ætƿist, ðe bẏþ oþra leas.
which translates as follows:
Generosity brings credit and honour, which support one's dignity; it furnishes help and subsistence to all broken men who are devoid of aught else.
At first glance, this seems the opposite of what Elon Musk has done for the world. A man who sees social media as his own personal platform; a man who sees the cosmos as his own personal joy-ride.
The mistake we made was believing that Twitter was our playground. Elon Musk has made it his, and is currently in the process of breaking the toys, chopping down the trees and nuking the site from orbit, just to prove that play is overrated, and that only money counts. I can’t help feeling sorry for the little boy he must have been, and to wonder what he might have been like if he’d actually had any friends. But it’s time: and the change of branding makes it even easier to step away.
So maybe this is a kind of gift to the ones of us leaving Twitter. Misinformation, misogyny, transphobia, conspiracy theories and other kinds of social media poison have already made it increasingly difficult to feel safe there. (And fun fact, the word Gift in German happens to mean “poison”.) Perhaps the ultimate gift of X is the freedom from the toxicity that has built up in this most volatile of media; the gift of better mental health; of greater connection to our world; an escape from a toxic fantasy back into the open air.
I won’t leave altogether – Threads still isn’t open to Europe, and the jury’s still out on Bluesky - but I don’t want to give any more of my content to a man who values power and money over human connection. I’m @joannechocolat across all my social media - that’s Threads, Bluesky, Tumblr and Instagram – and I’ll still be posting stories on my ko-fi account at: https://ko-fi.com/story. But if you want to know what I’m doing, then sign up to my free newsletter on my website at joanne-harris.co.uk. I’m coming to believe that social media as I once knew it may have run its course for me: I won’t leave it altogether, but from now on I plan to invest more of my time and energy elsewhere.
And as for Mr X - I doubt you’ll be around forever. But while you are, my gift to you is this final story: written live on Twitter, as was, for all the little bluebirds.
There once was a boy who had no friends. His father gave him everything money can buy: toy cars, model aeroplanes, even rockets that really flew, but friends were impossible to buy, and the boy was lonely, angry, and bored.
One day, when he was playing alone with one of his expensive toys, he saw a group of children playing in a nearby park. They sounded so merry and carefree that the boy was jealous.
“Why don’t I have friends?” he cried. “I shall buy the park, and then everyone will notice me.”
And so the boy asked his father to buy him the park for his very own; and he settled there with his expensive toys, and put a notice on the gate, saying: Entrance fee, 8 shillings.
The children of the neighbourhood looked enviously at the empty park. Some of the wealthier ones paid the entry fee, but many of the children did not; instead, they waited outside the gates, and looked into the place where once they had all played together.
But still the boy was not content. None of the new children played with him. Instead they played their own games, and climbed trees, or played hide and seek, or lay on the grass watching the clouds. None of this served the boy at all, and he was sulky and discontent.
“If I have all the trees cut down, then maybe the others will notice me,” he thought.
And so he ordered his servants to cut down all the trees in the park. But apart from a few toadies and flatterers, the children still did not play with him, but mocked him secretly from afar, and fell silent whenever he passed by.
“How ungrateful these children are,” said the boy, getting angry. “I bought this park for them, and still they refuse to play with me! Very well, I shall cease to pay the groundsmen and the gardeners. The park will be overrun with weeds. Wild animals will roam there.”
And so the boy did as he had promised, and the park became a wilderness. No-one wanted to pay for it, and even the toadies and flatterers and children of wealthy families went elsewhere to see their friends.
The boy was very angry at this, but there was no-one to be angry with. All the other children had gone. And so he took out his rage on the deer who had begun to roam in the park, shooting them with his toy crossbow, and became known throughout the land as a mighty hunter.

Innocent civilians, or colonial settlers?
I mean, the justification that those people who were killed, or, I mean, listen, do you think everybody there, for example, children who were there, teenagers, even some young people, young adults, even adults, do you think everyone there realizes the politics of it?
I mean, this would have been, I think, viewed differently if this happened during and targeted, an actual eviction of a Palestinian family or demolishing of their home, and this was a blowback to that, in that moment. I think people would look at that very differently. But to attack people at a concert? I'm sorry, everyday average people don't understand the intricacies and the policies.
I mean, hell, I think whoever decided to host and promote and create a concert, miles from, just a few miles outside the Gaza border, the Israel Gaza border, at the very least, bad taste. At the very most, should probably be sued and lose a lot, pay out families lots of money for a pretty disgusting idea, honestly. But the attendees of the concert? I'm sorry, no, they are innocent parties in this.
They put a concert at the border of an open air prison. Yes, I think it's extremely dumb, stupid, disgusting, horrific for someone to do that. I don't think every attendee of the concert understood exactly that. I mean, people don't, the vast majority of people do not pay attention to these sort of things. I'm sorry. They just don't. And I don't think that their ignorance is a death sentence. I'm sorry, I just don't.
I just don't.
Again, I think the people who set this thing up should pay consequences here in terms of payouts to the family. I don't know, something - eternal shunning from the entire music industry, I don't know. They certainly have blood on their hands, I think. But the innocent people who attended this concert? I'm sorry, no.
Also, going back to the disinformation spreading about all this, there was the disinformation that was spreading, that Elon Musk even tweeted out, that this was some sort of concert for peace, “A music festival for peace. It was attended by peace activists, and it was a pro-Palestinian unity peace festival,” I mean, that all came out. It was all bunk, it was all bullshit.
It's a Brazilian rave, EDM, electronic, whatever, rave party that travels the world, and they do these shows. It was not any sort of festival for peace.
And the reason I'm bringing that up is not to say, “Oh, that makes it okay,” because I just told you exactly what my feelings are, that no one at that concert is deserving of any sort of, whatever your position on holding a concert outside of Gaza is, no one there deserved death. They're all innocent.
But that disinformation, which turned out to be debunked and bullshit, was specifically put out there to basically knock the idea that you should be pro-Palestinian, or sympathize with the Palestinian people.
Because by doing that, that does not mean anything in terms of people who are dead. But what it does do is say, “Oh, look, these people were doing something for the Palestinian people, and this is how they're repaid?”
It’s to delegitimize. It is to delegitimize anyone who'd be pro-Palestinian liberation, or the anti-occupation, or just believing in basic human rights for 2 million people, half of whom are under the age, I believe, of 19. I think the median age is 19 in Gaza.
So the whole framing of it as a pro-Palestinian peace activist, festival for Peace and Unity, it's basically so they could pretend that, “Oh, look, these people were even on their side, and look what they did to them. They're savages and animals.”
That's what that whole thing was about.
It's gross. It's gross.
It’s using people who were killed as political tools, to further ostracize the most downtrodden and poor, in the world basically, in Gaza.
We saw a lot of these reports that it was an unprovoked attack. An unprovoked attack. You can say it was an unjustifiable attack. It was wrong. You could condemn it in whatever way, but unprovoked, that means that it started there, that there was nothing that came before it to lead to it. And that's just wrong.
That's just wrong.
It's basically saying the history of Israel - Palestine began on Saturday, and that's obviously not the case. I mean, before Saturday, before Hamas's disgusting attack on innocent Israeli civilians, what has been the news out of the region for the past couple of years?
It's literally been just time after time, every time there was a story out of Israel, regarding Israel - Palestine, it was Israel, once again kicking Palestinians out of their home, settlers moving into homes, Israeli settlers moving into homes, homes being demolished. That's been all we've been hearing.
And then you'll get some missiles from Hamas, which I'm sure that the Iron Dome intercepts, but when all the news does hit your feed, or your phone, or wherever you get the news, that's what it's been. That's what it's been.
And there has been no call for anything to be done, no call of solidarity to Palestinians, no call on Israel to actually not, just no call on Israel, no call on Israel to pull back or stop what they're doing and actually putting something behind it to show that you mean it.
When something happens to the Palestinian people that's brought upon them by the IDF or the Israel's right wing government, we don't hear anything. We don't hear anything. You hear it from left wing activists and human rights activists, but governments are silent. The media is silent. Other than the very few media outlets that actually just report what's going on, you don't hear anything.
It's been decades since there was an attack anywhere like this from Hamas, or any group in Gaza. And what happens is, what ends up happening. Just like it happens in so many other places across this world. But again, in this case, it happens to the most downtrodden people on Earth. You get the deaths of innocent Palestinian men, women, and children, and then you get the deaths of innocent Israeli citizens and civilians. And this keeps going in a circle.
It goes in a circle.
Goes in a circle.
And the people who pay the most, the biggest price, are the most powerless. And we keep putting our thumbs on the scale every time. We keep saying we want peace in the region. We want to… there's something we need to do. We need to do something, right? But we show a clear bias. We show we're not neutral in this. We show we're not seeking what's best for the Palestinian people, or really the innocent Israeli civilians, either.
No, we back Israel's far right wing government and Netanyahu. We decide our allegiance with them is more important, and then we demonize those who decide to speak up, the people who do actually want the deaths and the killings to stop over there.
Who think the Palestinian people, the 2 million, half of those under the age of 19, who never even knew a time before Hamas, never knew a time when there was even a legitimate movement on talks to actually create a Palestinian state, officially recognized by Israel and Western governments.

I went through a similar thing to the previous anon, I literally almost failed school thinking “I’m God and God never fails so why would I fail a test?” (It’s so cringe when I think of this omg)
I found out about LOA when I was in a horrible place in life and all of a sudden, here’s this miracle thing that barely anyone knows about, only the ones that are meant to find out will!
I kept trying and trying and trying to manifest, reading the “success stories” of people who had “successfully manifested”, kept affirming and scripting, and trying to shift (the LOA community and the shifting community are one and the same), but nothing ever worked. In fact, I was prolonging my own suffering by not realising that all of it was bullshit.
What really got me out of it was when I thought about the concept of You are Everything pushed out. And I thought to myself, “if I’m God (shudders in cringe), and I’m everything pushed out… why is there so much famine and sickness and suffering, etc? If all I have to do is love myself and care about myself… wouldn’t the world be an amazing place if I’m a self loving person and everything is me pushed out?”
That single thought sent me into an existential crisis in which I realised that the cult was a lie. I wasn’t God, I wasn’t anyone or anything pushed out, I wasn’t the “main character of this reality” (shudders in cringe), and I can’t self love my way into success.
I’m not Christian anymore, but one thing that still stands that “…Faith without works is dead” [James 2:26]
I bring that up because Neville Goddard often referenced the Bible to provide evidence towards his cult beliefs, but that single sentence disproves the whole premise of LOA.
Faith, or toxic positivity, affirmations, scripting, etc, without actually putting in work towards what you want is as good as dead. No Janet, you’re not gonna become a billionaire tomorrow by affirming that you are Elon Musk before you sleep.
Sorry for this long ass paragraph
No need to apologize! Sharing your story is good because it lets others know they aren't alone. 💜

I need to complain
I fucking hate the whole "Oh you see autistic people are just all morally superior cause we're so nice and have such a strong sense of justice and don't lie and follow rules and don't make fun of others etc"
That's just blue angel shit with extra steps like c'mon!
Oh but there's this study saying that we just follow rules and have a sense of justice- have you considered that some people's "strong sense of justice" can be fucked up? That having strong opinions doesn't mean they're good moral opinions?
"Oh but we don't lie we don't make fun of others!" BULLSHIT!
It's already fucked up when nts bring their blue angel shit but from my OWN community?! Like I'm sorry Stephanie if you want to convince yourself that you actually special have your idk ugly duckling little fairy tale YA protagonist storyline or anything but you're just human.
And humans cheat and lie and hurt others. Fucking ELON MUSK is autistic! Dan Harmon is autistic! I've met a transphobic misogynistic piece of shit who also happened to be autistic
We're just people. We're not special or superior. We struggle. We're disabled. We're flawed. There's nothing wrong with that.

my toxic trait is that i think "get off your fucking ass and work" is actually pretty solid advice for a lot of young men tbh... like my little brother right. he worships tech billionaires & frequents the gym religiously & daydreams about becoming a Visionary but do u think he helped my mother in the kitchen once this christmas. do you think he helped with the grocery shopping or cleaned up after himself. his gas and gym membership are paid for by ME because he can't bring himself to find a job and runs out of money every three months. my uncle explained to me a few months ago that there's nothing more difficult than growing up a boy these days because there's no clear role models anymore and traditional masculinity is facing a lot of backlash so how are boys supposed to feels good about themselves etc etc well thorsten maybe if they helped their mothers in the kitchen they would develop some humility and also a sense of self-sufficiency. there's no shortcuts to living an accomplished life i'm sorry you don't think taking care of yourself is glorious enough to build a sense of masculinity around but maybe if my brother spent a little less time imagining himself as 2 elon 2 musk and little more time doing mundane things such as providing for himself he would have a gilrfriend instead of an identity crisis

Its stolen valor to call yourself a man of action when the action is being a social butterfly lmao
"Poisonous prey, marks itself in colors" he really sat down and said that! Feels related to that new contrapoints piece
Does anyone remember what i said about the desire to be tattooed and mate selection and pictish ethnicity and suchlike
Its always stood out to me as positive that guys like "moa" find tattooed bodies undesirable; get tats and youre off the menu, for the most part (theoretically these dudes are candidates for becoming hateboner-crazed stalkers so theres that; some people also hate being called ugly by anyone, even the very dull, so, fair warning, youre ON that menu for sure even if youre surreally beautiful in actuality)
Tumblr media
What im getting from this is that these manosphere elon musk type freaks keep up the pretense of worrying about eugenics (white replacement, birthrates etc) as a morally incoherent, tonedeaf smokescreen for bitching about a loss of coercive sexual control over women on the whole as a demographic....like youre openly talking about people who HAVE "contributed to the gene pool" so whats the great replacement youre freaking out over if it isnt just, no one being defacto forced onto your dick anymore....like im not reading between the lines this is textual that whats being said is "babies are being made without us* and thats bad because we used to control how women lived and they had to fuck us and obey our asinine whims about hairdye to survive"
*highly patriarchal fucknuggets with no bodyart
I literally dont understand dating someone who doesnt think blue hair and a full tattoo suit are the hottest possible options....like what is happening in their heads where they like boring, frumpy women (ah! they fear seeming boring and frumpy next to such an exotic woman)....i did it more or less by accident once and then one time it was for research purposes (relatedly, after 10 years my one hardcore bro friend finally directly made a point of declaring that he is 1) not a white supremacist and 2) hasnt fought back in a fight since he was in elementary school...i knew this would surface organically......he has one tattoo himself but seems to have ambivalent feelings about the heavy inking part of the subculture.....which brings me back to, idgi. I dont dig a plain expanse like an undecorated wall, that aesthetic seems hostile to me...........human auction block vibes even, must allow for clearer quality checking.......not that im putting that on my friend! but i defo am putting it on this manosphere ghoul)
Like im sorry but i grew up with brands like suicidegirls .....them gals dont ALL hate men (particularly, in the sense these dudes find crucial ie avoiding sex with men), OBVIOUSLY 🤣 lmaoooooo

Honestly, a part of me doesn't want to say "I'm not going to miss Twitter."
Because there was indeed a benefit to the potential networking it had for most marginalized users/creators/activists. Or really just in general.
But goddamnit it feels so tempting given my overall experience. Just so much fucking discourse after discourse. Doomposting after doomposting. The bigotry. Oh god the blatant bigotry people displayed on there was unsettling.
The doomposting part also gets to me because there were times when I just wanted to fucking get off the site. Look, when people tell you that "scrolling isn't activism" they really meant that. And as someone who's a leftist, I just want to fucking breathe for just a little while. Especially after the news with the supreme court.
9 times out of 10 you would have users who really deserved to be ratioed for the shit they spewed, but then you have this small set of them who really didn't need the unwanted attention.
What makes this all so unnerving was that it was FUNDAMENTALLY designed to be like that. Yeah, the algorithm was meant curate a negative experience as a way to drive up traffic.
I feel sorry for the artists--SFW and NSFW--and sex workers alike because the reason why they went to Twitter in the first place was due to Tumblr kicking them out. Where the hell are they supposed to go now huh? We have no way of knowing if this website's ban is still in effect or if the rules are so inconsistent with whats allowed or not.
I mainly used it to privately lurk and you're certainly not going what it is because
1.I'm not going to bring unwanted attention to myself
2.Who's to say that Twitter is going to exist till tommorrow morning
Elon Musk had essentially drained any goodwill--or what was left anyway--that nobody wants to even touch it with a ten foot pole. And he did all of this by buying it off the previous staff. During those past few months, everyone essentially quit out of protest or was likely fired the moment he was put in charge. All because he wanted to change the narrative surrounding himself and Tesla. Despite the fact that he can't seem to comprehend that we just don't like him. This fucking "billionaire" could turn on a lightswitch and still find a way to fuck it up. And the simps will lap it up because they bought into his bullshit.
Actually you know what, all of this could be summed up with just a particular quote from the 2015 Steve Jobs movie:
"You can't write code. You're not an engineer. You're not a designer. You can't put a hammer to a nail."
So yeah.
You can see why it feels so tempting.

one of these days i will start writing the story ive been dreaming of which is basically "miku falls out of my computer somehow and lives with me, hijinks ensue, government agents are evaded, some musical numbers are performed, tearful goodbyes exchanged when we figure out how to get her back to her homeland aka cyberworld, but ofc right at the end we see her hand extend from the computer screen pulling me in" BOOM. certified fresh on rotten tomatoes, all kinds of awards being floated, i rise to fame and fortune, crypton future media offers me my own personal Miku android for bringing Hatsune Miku to a huge western audience... my miku android gains sentience with the help of true love and friendship. we then engage in guerilla warfare with elon musk who wants to kidnap miku from me and do all kinds of horrific villainous shit to her, i rescue her and blow up the big fucking X on my way out. sorry this post went off the rails what was my point again?

UM SO I DON'T TALK TO YOU BUT I WAS HAVING POLYSHO BRAINROT SO I THOUGHT WHY NOT.
anyways i was thinking about pjsk fa au and i just want to say i think the polysho should pine for eachother ik so original BUT i will explain the dilemma
rui and tsukasa are their white day cards, nene is the mermaid and emu is the 88.
rui and tsukasa meet bla bla bla rui some magic guy tsukasa a prince. they're so silly and gay they talk more but they'd probably never be able to date because you can only marry cool rich people if ur a prince + the kamishiros constantly cause drama sooo yeah,, but anyways. they still r gay but tsukasa is hilariously oblivious to his feelings.
timeskip timeskip they keep on meeting in secret. and then one day rui is like "hey wanna go meet my friend." and tsukasa's like "sure! why not." but turns out his friend is a fucking MERMAID?? and tsukasa's so shocked and a dumbass, says some accidentally offensive things but they become friends as well. turns out nene now has a crush on the prince as well, and tsukasa is dense AF.
then they just hang out, BUT THEN!! this strange rich girl comes in and just. acts like they're all friends and also sort of helps them all out with their problems. yes it's emu. they all realize everything, people fight and make up, rui almost dies but it's all good, and emu is just like ":3 now you guys can finally be together!" and they're like "nope emu it's ur fault we've fallen in love with you too." and SO they are all kissing.
and, the original dilemma was solved because turns out rui was the reason saki was cured. yeah he was the one. tsukasa didn't know that until rui almost dies one scene. and the silly thing is rui didn't know either, he was just like "ooohhh so that's that mystery girl i had to cure." like brooooo 😂😂😂
so now they all date and will probably get married. happy ending cues.
i'm sorry for this thanks if you read it.
THIS GOES SO HARD DAWG !!!! Emu Just popping in like “hey everyone :3” is so silly to me
rui being embarrassed bc his family just starts shit all the time 💀💀 he brings everyone home for dinner and his parents are like “so who do each of you love THE MOST ???” And he just slams his head into the table (this is just this au I think mr and ms Kamishiro are both bisexual. I just know trust)
shenanigans ensue I think. Also mermaid nene is so goofball !!! I’d like to think it’s kind of a little mermaid scenario where she CAN go on land, it’s just exhausting for long amounts of time. And Rui probably concocts some magic potion where it’s not as hard for her.
white day Tsukasa could also be his knight thing !!! Maybe they all go on adventures <33
Emu just being fantasy Elon musk is so fuckinf funny. I’d like to think she’s richer than tsukasa’s family. You know the king and queen of the nation. Also Saki playing match maker !!!
anyways I love this so much !!! It’s so silly also I’d like to think Miku is like a clockwork robot in this au. And she tags along n plays matchmaker as well

Newsweek Gets Mocked Into Next Week for 'Fact-Checking' Supposed 18th-Century Painting of Trump
Tumblr media
Sometimes—actually, a lot lately—a news outlet faceplants so badly that you almost feel sorry for them. Almost.
It’s hard to feel sorry for Newsweek, though, because this fail is so stupid that you almost can’t help but laugh out loud. As our sister site Twitchy reported, the outlet decided a clearly joking tweet accompanied by an equally obviously AI-generated image was worthy of a fact check.
Do these people get paid for this?
Here’s how it went down: a user named “bone” posted to social media, saying, “This 1721 painting by Deitz Nuützen predicted the Trump-Elon-RFK McDonalds dinner.” You don’t even have to look any further to know that what follows next is either going to be a joke or the ravings of a lunatic.
In this case, the name of the “painter” (search for Deez Nutz if you don't get it) should have set off the alarm bells of anyone with a clue:
This 1721 painting by Deitz Nuützen predicted the Trump-Elon-RFK McDonalds dinner pic.twitter.com/CM9xDNmaKG— bone (@boneGPT) November 18, 2024
You see this, you chortle, and you move on with your day—but not Newsweek. Bring on the fact-checkers!
As of this writing, Newsweek has not pulled the idiotic report from their website.
X owner Elon Musk’s reputation of being incredibly smart survived this devious attempt at misinformation—he clearly wasn’t fooled:
😂— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 18, 2024
The mainstream media has a truly terrible record on “fact-checking”:
CBS News Performs 100 Percent Incorrect Fact-Check on JD Vance and His Border Czar Comments at Debate
Do You Want More RFK Jr.? Because This Is How You Get More RFK Jr.
Busting the Fact-Checkers, or Why Fact-Checkers Stink (VIP)
“Bone” himself got a kick out of the silliness:
they really dug around looking for Deitz Nuützen pic.twitter.com/jigIAqVjbK— bone (@boneGPT) November 19, 2024
He even created a mock detailed history of the imagined painter; this is just part of it:
Deitz Nuützen (1694–1732) was a peculiar and enigmatic Dutch Baroque painter whose work baffled his contemporaries and continues to mystify art historians today. Known for blending traditional artistic styles with strikingly anachronistic imagery, Nuützen’s paintings have been jokingly referred to as “prophecies in oil...” Nuützen’s other surviving works include The Flying Horse of Iron, a surreal depiction of a locomotive centuries before its invention, and The Gathering of the Elect, which eerily resembles a modern stock exchange. These works earned him notoriety during his lifetime, with some accusing him of witchcraft or heresy. Local records even note that he was once investigated by the church for "visions unbecoming of a Christian artist."
Troll level 11.
I almost feel sorry for the poor guy who had to write the fact check. After all, if your editor tells you to write something up, you better get to it.
Of course this is who is fact checking a joke. They wonder why they lost and no one trusts these jokes. pic.twitter.com/nJ60bQuCVM— MISTAKES WERE MADE (@MISTAKES_W_MADE) November 19, 2024
This may not be as embarrassing as Joe and Mika’s epic flip flop over at MSNBC, where they went from eight years of calling Trump Hitler to suddenly visiting him at Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring, but it’s still pretty humiliating.
