Grailfinders #341: Mary Anning
hey y’all! would you like-a talk-a dino? no? too bad, here’s Mary Anning anyway. she’s an arcane trickster rogue to sell literal rocks to people at a profit (and get a cool dog), plus a primeval druid to summon a lightning-spitting plesiosaur. and i thought jurassic park was taking liberties…
check out her build breakdown below the cut, or her character sheet over here!
next up: shouldn’t he be istanbullos by now?
Ancestry & Background
despite having nautiluses for hair, Mary is still a Human, so she gets +1 Dexterity & Intelligence, as well as proficiency in Nature (old nature sure, but still nature) and the Tough feat for an extra 2 HP per level. she also used to be a sickly child before being nursed to health by a literal bolt of lightning yes that’s a thing that happened so she’s definitely being Rewarded by something. that gives her Insight and Persuasion proficiency, as well as the Skilled background for more proficiency in Mason’s Tools, Athletics, and History.
Ability Scores
your Intelligence should be as high as it can go. we don’t actually need it here, but you were the first person to figure out what an Ichthyosaur is (not a dinosaur) and what coprolites are (not something you want to touch bare-handed). second is Wisdom. half the difficulty of paleontology is finding the damn things. the other half is dodging the rockslides, which is why your Dexterity is also pretty high. this does mean your Charisma is lower than I’d like. you’re a fine saleswoman, but you didn’t get a lot of credit for the work you did. this means your Constitution is middling, and your Strength is as low as it gets. thankfully you can just reanimate the fossils now, so carrying them’s a lot easier.
Class Levels
1. Rogue 1: if we want to find fossils, you need to be damn good with a chisel first. also I’m not making the same mistake I made with Galatea, I’m not going to figure out how to have you wield a hammer in one hand and a chisel in the other officially, sorry. on the plus side, no matter how you use that chisel you can still Sneak Attack with it, adding 1d6 to the damage done as long as you have advantage on the attack or another friend next to them. all fossils are restrained (by rock), so you shouldn’t have any issue getting advantage. you also learn Thieves’ Cant, which is really just Cockney. finally, your Expertise in Nature and History will double your proficiency bonus when you make checks about old animals or natural history. suck it, publications!
also as a rogue you get proficiency in Dexterity and Intelligence saves, as well as Deception, Investigation, Perception, and Sleight of Hand, bc god knows you didn’t have enough skills just yet.
2. Rogue 2: second level rogues get a Cunning Action each turn, letting you dash, disengage, or hide as a bonus action. the early paleontologist gets the bone, as the assuredly real saying goes.
3. Rogue 3: we haven’t picked up all your fossil-hunting gear just yet- we still need some explosives, and a dog. thankfully, we can get both of those from being an Arcane Trickster! now you can cast spells using your Intelligence! okay I guess we actually did need that. anyway, your spell list is pretty restrictive, with only one spell that can be freely picked from the wizard spell list. the rest all have to be enchantment or illusion spells.
but before we talk spells, let’s talk Cantrips! Thunderclap will help remove solid rock, while Mold Earth will dig through loose dirt real fast. you also get Mage Hand which comes with its own Legerdemain, and that’s going to be Tray for this build! just have it do the dog shadow puppet thing to really sell the flavor. the original mage hand lasts a minute and is a floating ghost hand/dog that sticks near you, and you can use your action to move it and have it pick up objects, open doors, grab stuff from containers, or pour out liquids. you know, basic dog tricks. the legerdemain makes your dog a little more special, letting it pickpocket people, pick locks, and turn invisible. those are less doglike, but you can do all of those plus the og stuff as a bonus action now too.
as for your spells, Mage Armor will help you not die, Distort Value will help you sell rocks for enough money to live on, and Illusory Script will help you get out of whatever shitty contract super bunyan tried to force on you.
one last thing- you can use Steady Aim to give yourself advantage as a bonus action, so long as you haven’t moved yet and don’t plan on doing so this turn. the rocks are generally stationary, so it should be fine.
okay, okay, the real last thing- your sneak attack deals 2d6 extra damage now. this is what happens when you can afford the good chisels.
4. Rogue 4: fourth level rogues get their first Ability Score Improvement, so improve that Dexterity while you’re here. yes the rocks don’t move much, but you still have to worry about your AC. in the same “not getting hit” vein, you get Color Spray this level. this one’s just pocket sand. blast it in peoples’ faces and they go blind for a round.
5. Rogue 5: fifth level rogues have an Uncanny Dodge. whenever you’d take damage from an attack, you can use your reaction to take half damage instead. ideally you wouldn’t get hit at all, but it’s not like you can afford platemail. speaking of damage though, your sneak attack deals 3d6 damage now.
6. Rogue 6: sixth level rogues get another round of Expertise, so double down on Perception and Persuasion to find and sell fossils.
7. Rogue 7: seventh level rogues learn Evasion, which means every time you have to make a dexterity save you only take half damage on a failure and no damage on a success. your job consisted of going to rockslide mountain during rockslide season but you didn’t die until breast cancer took you out, there’s clearly something going on there.
also you learn Dragon’s Breath. it’s a secret tool that will help us later. for right now, your sneak attack deals 4d6 damage!
8. Druid 1: at level one, druids also learn Spells, which they use their Wisdom to cast. since we’re mixing spellcasters, you’ll have to check the PHB to figure out how many spell slots you have at any one time.
first, cantrips. Shillelagh lets you turn a club into a magical club that uses your wisdom to hit, so I guess if you really want to use a hammer, now you’ll be slightly better at it. you can also use Druidcraft to figure out the weather for today. I don’t know if rockslides count as “weather” exactly, but it doesn’t hurt to try.
as for your spells, druids can prepare spells from their whole list every day, so I highly recommend checking out whatever suits your fancy. the only spell I think is in-character right now though is Faerie Fire. sadly we can’t make it only work for women, but it’ll make it impossible for anyone hit by it to turn invisible, and attacks against them have advantage.
9. Druid 2: second level druids enter a circle, and the Circle of the Primeval was practically made for you! before we get into that we do need to mention your Wild Shape real fast, though you’re not using it if you’re staying in character- I’ll just say for now you could use it twice per short rest. more importantly, you can use those two per rest charges to summon a Primeval Companion instead! with this, you can summon a medium plesiosaurus that you can order around with your bonus action. it can’t swim just yet, but he’s just getting started! (this is where Dragon’s Breath comes back in, now you can have him shooting lightning right out the gate. or yourself, if you want.)
also, as a Keeper of Old, you can add a d4 to your history checks.
(and I will say now that yes, you could use wild shape charges to summon a Wild Companion if you want Tray to be a real dog, but that would mean he’d have an actual HP bar and I’m just not ready to deal with that.)
10. Druid 3: third level druids learn second level spells! Enhance Ability gives you advantage in one kind of ability check of your choice, while Locate Object can help you locate the nearest fossil. it’s kind of like cheating, but fuck it!
11. Druid 4: fourth level druids get a Wild Shape Improvement, so while plesi can’t swim yet, you can. somehow. also your Dexterity goes up again. also also you can cast Guidance now to give yourself or a friend a d4 to their next skill check, for when you really need to sell this next fossil.
12. Druid 5: fifth level druids learn third level spells! Conjure Animals is your go-to for your noble phantasm, letting you summon a bunch of smaller fossils all at one go, but you can also use Elemental Weapon if you want some electrical attacks for yourself too.
13. Druid 6: now that you’re a proper Prehistoric Conduit, you can cast spells as though they came from your plesiosaur. this means you can cast Dragon’s Breath on him without even having to touch him! given that he’s probably in the thick of battle, that’s most likely for the best. also, if he gets caught up in one of your spells, he gets advantage on his save against its damage and evasion for said spell, regardless of what kind of save it is.
14. Druid 7: seventh level druids get fourth level spells, like… actually there isn’t really any I want. maybe Elemental Bane if you can find a non-spell way to deal lightning damage? otherwise just upcast conjure animals.
15. Druid 8: eighth level druids get another WSI, so now you can fly if you want. also you can use your ASI to start improving your Charisma for better sales pitches.
16. Druid 9: ninth level druids get fifth level spells, and while Plessy doesn’t really talk much he’s probably a lot smarter than most dinosaurs, so I still think Awaken is a good pick for him. this’ll make the animal or plant you use it on sentient permanently, and it will be your friend for up to a month. past that point, how it feels about you is up to it.
17. Druid 10: let’s grab Mending real quick before we go into the level, I imagine your clothes probably get torn up pretty often in this line of work. also you now share a Titanic Bond with your living fossil, making it large enough to ride around on and it can finally swim! as a bonus, once per turn you can try and frighten a creature when you hit it with an attack or spell. everyone’s seen jurassic park by this point, they know not to stand near dinosaurs.
18. Druid 11: as we near the end, you can finally grab sixth level spells like Move Earth. for up to two hours after casting, you can reshape dirt, sand, or clay in a 40’ area that can be moved around, with each change taking ten minutes. also worth noting, this doesn’t work on stone or stone structures, so any rock formations might collapse if you use this too much. Make Sure Nothing You Love Is Under the Rocks.
19. Druid 12: use your last ASI to bump up your Charisma again! with a charisma score like that you could even make a 19th century englishman respect… well, literally anyone who isn’t also a 19th century englishman.
20. Druid 13: for our final level you gain access to seventh level spells, but again there aren’t really any I want. sorry to end it on a sour note, but now you can upcast your animal conjuring and lightning breath, so that’s neat!
Pros & Cons
Pros:
druids have access to some powerful aoe spells, and while we only really use Dragon’s Breath in this build, being able to shoot them out of a large creature means you can make those aoes even bigger, for free, and odds are Plesi’s gonna be just fine on top of all that.
as a rogue, you like having people around you. as a druid, you can make people around you. well, dinosaurs. still, everything goes with sneak attack, so you can pretty much guarantee that extra damage whenever you want.
rogues are always great at skill checks, and you take that to a whole new level. as long as you have anything to sell, your party will never have to worry about their budget. also, while we got a lot of skills for buying and selling, most of them are open-ended enough that they can be used for any skill check you want!
Cons:
it takes a while for this build to reach something I’d call a finished state. while it works fine for most of the game, riding around on a plesiosaurus is kind of the dream, and you can’t do that until level 17.
a lot of your spell list is spent on utility spells, and while they aren’t necessarily bad, it’s hard to think of when you’d really want the ability to dig for two hours over say, a fireball. they don’t even break rock, so good luck getting to actual fossils with Mold Earth.
both druid and rogue are pretty greedy classes- they both want you to focus on them as much as possible. because of this, we get neither a big sneak attack bonus nor druid’s busted capstone ability, which is rough. it’s not the end of the world since you’d probably never see any capstone ability used in regular D&D anyway, but still.

I recently rediscovered the joy of Primeval and it's derailed all of my other writing plans so enjoy this snippet I guess!
Portsmouth, UK
Captain Hilary Becker had survived SAS selection, two tours of duty – which had included four miserable months in the Afghan desert with insurgents taking pot shots at him on the regular – and growing up as the only boy in a household with three older sisters.
That was to say that he categorically refused to let an overgrown prehistoric chicken become the reason his mother received a knock on the door from a sympathetic officer. With the butt of his EMD rifle nestled firmly in his shoulder he let off another burst and finally hit the sodding thing. It had been getting a little too close and bite-y for comfort for a moment there.
“Sitrep Captain?” Evan, his second and frequent bane of his life asked over the comms, presumably in the hopes that she could get off babysitting the scientist duty and have a piece of the action.
Becker didn’t so much nudge the stunned dinosaur back through the anomaly as shove it home with extreme prejudice. Look, what Abby didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her. “Fan-fucking-tastic, Lieutenant.”
“SNAFU, copy that sir.”
Truer words have never been spoken.
Becker could hear the grin in Evan’s voice. There were days he was glad that Special Forces hadn’t recruited female officers back when he’d been in training. Evan was exactly the kind of feral that would have thrived in that environment, which probably explained how she’d ended up in his unit, thinking about it. It took a certain type of person to last at the ARC.
Becker tried not to contemplate what that must say about him.
Heaving himself up, EMD still trained on the anomaly, he held back at grunt as the scar tissue on his side twinged at the movement. “ETA on Temple?”
“Two minutes,” came the reply, echoed a second later by the man himself.
Finally, some good news. After the fiasco with the first, very broken, locking mechanism, and then the creature incursion, Becker could do with some haste.
“What are these little buggers anyway?” he asked, having set up in a better position to snipe any others that got ideas about coming through.
“Eoraptors,” Temple informed him, slightly out of breath. Over the sound of the comms, Becker could hear approaching footsteps. “Late Triassic.”
“Small, fast, lots of teeth, omnivores,” Matt added helpfully from somewhere halfway across the country.
Two anomalies opening at once wasn’t exactly common, but it wasn’t the first time it had happened during his time at the ARC. Becker hoped they were having more luck corralling the herd of peaceful giants back through their anomaly his team were with the overgrown chickens. Sorry – Eoraptors.
With a scuff of boots on the floor, Connor Temple burst into the room, set down the new locking mechanism and activated it with a speed that would have the instructors at Sandhurst grudgingly impressed. This time, blessedly, the anomaly behaved itself and shrunk down to a closed state. Connor let out a sigh of relief. Becker did too, but he was more subtle about it.
Then the mad genius that Becker had the misfortune to call his colleague looked at him, grinned in a mildly manic way that could have been either the result of too little sleep, or humour, or both, and said, “So, James, eh?”
Despite his attempt to hide it, Becker did not miss the way Connor’s eyes flicked down to the ID plate on his EMD, the one that matched the dog tags round his neck which clearly proclaimed him to be one Captain H J Becker.
He was well aware of the ongoing debate at the ARC regarding what those initials stood for and was just glad that Connor hadn’t overheard the first part of the conversation.
There was a reason he went by his surname, after all.
Banging his head against the wall, Becker looked up toward the ceiling of the powder magazine – grade II* listed Hils, Maddy has enthused upon their arrival, one of the best examples of a bastion trace fort in the country - and once again cursed the universe for opening an anomaly at his favourite sister’s place of work.
SNAFU - "Situation normal: all fucked up" or 'this sucks, but that's the normal state of affairs'.

I hate to nag/vent on Frontiers' plot some more, but I sincerely, cannot for the life of me...be interested by any lore it delivers on. At first I thought the Ancients and the Emeralds being from space was just dumb, but it goes past that when I realized it took away what made Chaos unique in the first place (so the Master Emerald, that WASN'T from space mind you, just randomly reverted a Chao back to it's 'primeval' form? ok sure...) And even then, the Ancients themselves aren't that interesting as characters to ever be invested in their story or tragedy of their extinction. It was like I was watching Season 3 of X all over again with the Seedrians and the females running from the Metarex. Ironically, they're about as flat as Sage's cardboard of a personality/arc, which I didn't think was possible.
Who honestly is going to remember or care about any of this when the narrative and characters are sooo boring to listen to?
Tell me about it. I tried to follow conversations about the Ancients and the Egg Memos, but I genuinely struggle to keep my attention, even ignoring the dull voice acting. They are just... a mess. The game dedicates so much time to this civilization, and I just can't remember a thing aside from the sudden lore point "the CE are from space".
Which is just. Meh? I far, far prefer the idea that the CEs are an anomaly of space and time, tied to an everchanging alternate dimension that we accede to through the Special Stages.
Frontiers' story is basically 1) a huge lore dump for something that didn't need to be answered, and 2) heavily character driven, but this also falls flat on its face (and it's my main complaint about the plot) because the interactions are either not interesting, or downright infuriating. Except for Knuckles, he's cool, aside from the weird "oh I'm tired to be tied to Angel Island" which is 25 years too late.
You know what? Generations is another game where nothing happens by the end. And yes, it was a waste because they could have added so many call backs (justified in this case due to Gens being an anniversary game all about celebrating Sonic's story). But at least Gens didn't pretend to be anything more than it was: a game where beloved levels got reimagined and honored. Frontiers just gives me this sense of self-importance, like it wants to be a pivotal part of canon and it wants to fix all the characters involved - sorry guys, but fixing a character doesn't mean forcing him to say that his past portrayal was wildly inconsistent while by the end his role is not too different from what it has been for the past 10 years :\

Okay, first of all, I want to clarify I'm reading about DnD, but I am nowhere an expert, just that the classes and subclasses are templates and you can dictate how their magic works in their own special way. That's what I gathered from watching videos of ABD illustrates where he gives examples like how one of his character's eldritch blast is tentacles because the Patron it's a squid.
Second, I would like permission to give more ideas for Hiccup, Jack, and Rapunzel classes, mainly due to finding subclasses that could suit them better. Merida as a Fighter suits her better than a ranger and there's a subclass that it's actually a Magical archer (Arcane Archer) which can be justified by her connection to the wisps and that witch she asked for help once.
And now into the actual reason for this message. North: So the Berserker it's a good pick, better than Artificer, which I think would go for all the Santas, but it's probably more for the Yetis who do the work. Subclass should be Path of the Ancestral Guardian
Bunny: If he goes as a Monk, he should be a Way of The Kensei monk, because his moves are complemented by his boomerangs, and the others do not use weapons normally.
Sandy: Ranger. Now hear me out, there's a subclass called Fey Wanderer, and while Sandy doesn't deal with fey, but the kit can be reinterpreted to work for him. He does look like a small elf after all, and he can be very mischievous. Not only that, the summon fey can be translated to him using his sand to summon whatever his imagination desire, just as the kids formed dinosaurs with the sand. There's also Duir of the circle of dreams, but that's more like summoning weather spirits to help than actually about dreams. In that case, Circle of Stars/Sheperd/Primeval would work better for him as they include summoning Constellations/animals/dinosaurs to help him.
Tooth: Now I also struggle, but I don't think Cleric works with her because most of them are just straight-up magic and she is more of a physical fighter with a connection to memories. So I thought Bard with the College of Lore (for the memories) or College of Swords because the one in the books uses two swords to fight, instead of singing, she inspires by dancing. Another alternative is Ranger with the subclass Swarmkeeper. The swarms are her hummingbirds/fairies.
I know you said Warlock for Sandy, but I would argue that all of them received the blessing of Many, so all of them could part Warlock, but if you had to choose a subclass for warlock, it should be the Great Old one, because he is supposedly older than all of the minus book Bunny, who would be an artificer instead. Celestial sounds more like Angels and all of that.
If you want more insight into Dnd can I suggest this wiki http://dnd5e.wikidot.com/ Also, these youtube channels called Pointy Hat and the aforementioned ABD illustrates.
Sorry if it was too much, I just got overly excited.
Dude, on this blog being overly excited is mandatory!! /pos
Yeah I said cleric for Toothiana mainly because I feel guilty that I never headcanon someone as one, and my brain made a weird teeth -> health -> cleric connection lol
I do watch ABD's videos, his designs and poses are amazing!
#thank you for the suggestions!#and thank you to all the people who left comments under the original post! ive been taking notes#asks#alexanderstarhero#rotbtd fantasy!au#long post

I don't even know how to say this but thank you for writing. I just finished nocturne of flowers and it's the first writing where I ever felt like I could be me. I'm a furry and I get bullied a lot for it. And all the books I ever read are werewolves and shit like that and that's not my fursona. And I don't have anywhere really to be unless I'm some kind of infected character if that makes sense. But Primevals. When I read your version of humans I literally cried. I still tear up. Mutherfucking finally! This shot straight to my heart and I needed to say thank you. Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for writing a world I can be in and I can be me. I'm absolutely obsessed now. I'm rereading nocturne and I'm reading the side story. I'm not a big fan of first person but you write so well I actually like it. I love your writing snd your style you're so good why are you sharing this for free? Thank you for being on Tumblr so I can follow you. Fuckiety fuck I'm in love with you both. PLEASE keep writing!!! Sorry if this was weird I don't want to make you uncomfortable.
Wow. We really didn't know how to handle this. Thank you for being patient while we processed our feelings. Apologies up front if we sound like weirdos, but we don't human well when emotions are involved. And you brought us the feels...
First of all, thank you. Thank you for telling us, and for sharing your feelings, and how Nocturne of Flowers is vibing with you. It made us feel seen too.
As a writer, you always kind of hope that your work will resonate with readers, but you don't actually expect people to feel like they're seen. And damn, yeah, this is a lot.
We've said in the past, that we aren't furries ourselves. However, we have furry friends, and they've been bullied too. The stories we've heard are harrowing. When people don't fit inside society's perfect little box, it seems the next step is to try and force them to by any means deemed necessary. And if you're broken and battered enough, society can bend you into any shape they find comfortable to be around.
So, furries hold a special place in our hearts. Because they follow those fluffy, feathery, scaly hearts that beat too wild to be in a box.
Nocturne of Flowers is part of our Saccharine in Nightmares universe created for our D&D campaigns. It's our nonsensical, whimsical, rollercoaster, literary self-indulgent, escapism world. We don't often talk about our real life, but we will say, 90% of our day jobs is writing. It's part of why chapters are so slow, because of how much we actually write. Work, Kindle Vella (no, we're not sharing our penname), fan fiction (again, silence on the handles), and GamerKAts.
Write. Write. Write.
GamerKAts is our favorite, though, because it's the only works that are truly ours. Our style. Our words. Our OCs. Our crazy minds. We don't worry about word count, or comma over usage, or grammar rules. We just go ham, and throw it out there.
Is it as popular as our Vella's or fan fics? No. Absolutely not. But that's the point, really. We want readers like you, who connect with our works, and enjoy our works, and want to get lost in them for hours. You're exactly why we keep writing.
When designing the Primevals, we didn't want the traditional werewolves and vampires of being bitten and changed either. We wanted to have vast types that included whatever the readers could imagine. So that if someone wanted wings and gills, they could design their own species and fit the lore. This is literally a series designed for people to go absolutely nuts with the fan fictions.
But it was most important for us to emphasize, that everyone is Human. A Lycan is still a Human. A Vampire is still a Human. Not only is this important to the overall plot (no spoilers, but this is a series of Humans versus non-Humans... So... Stay tuned for who the real villains are...), but it allows us to write about and explore the dichotomy, hypocrisy, and complexity when society dehumanizes people; especially based on looks, community, and culture.
Overall theme of Nocturne of Flowers: What is a monster?
Tearing apart the intricacies of humanity is something we want to explore, while simultaneously creating a world where hopefully others feel like you.
It's a book series. It's our escapism to write, and reader's escapism to read. And if we're all escaping together, none of us are actually alone.
Also, thank you for reading Berrybottles' Travel Guide too, we hope you like it. It's probably the only first person we'll ever write, because we're not the best at that POV. But as it's an "Expedition Journal" of sorts, first person felt right. It's written specifically as a treat for our super fans who are feral for the lore, extras, and side stories.
Thank you again for reaching out with your feels. It's readers like you who are exactly why we keep going.

Hey, would you happen to have lore receipts for Drifter being bi? Just curious, it’s been a while since I read trough his lore :) I would also add Petra to the list of gays as well, while not confirmed, she’s heavily implied to be in love with Mara.
Oh yeah, Petra! 100% wlw and heavily implied to be in love with Mara. Awoken just be like that.
On to Drifter, yes! He is my blorbo and he is the best.
First, we know he likes women because he very obviously had (still has?) a thing for Orin. He also tried flirting with Lady Efrideet (disastrous result). And he very obviously likes Eris. To what extent, we can't tell, but he enjoys her company and has explicitly said that he likes how "freakyx she is. He also most recently dedicated time to make her a nice meal in seasonal armour (Eidolon Pursuant set).
The other hints are in how he talks about certain things in general. For example:
And you know me. I like to keep some folk close—real close. I feel somebody's hand on my throat, I figure they're about to kill me or kiss me.
Personally, I like to keep my options open.
It doesn't specify gender!
Also this:
"Had a face like the end-times and eyes like manna in the desert. One look at him, and I knew I wasn't gonna be saved."
Who is this man whose eyes he's complimenting? (probably Shin)
More directly though, he's very openly flirting with men for no reason and out of nowhere, as well as using as much innuendo as possible while he talks.
His first target? Zavala. These lines from Arrivals for example. He's so direct when asking if Zavala came to see him because he's special. Like, hello? Also this absolutely bonkers innuendo about Zavala he sent to Ikora (from Witch Queen CE book):
Hey Ikora,
Did you sign off on this? Zavala ordered a search of my ship to get samples of my plants? "There are known similarities between your vessel's infestation and the growths aboard the derelict Glykon Volatus." Tell the big guy that if he wants to get at my garden, he'd better start pounding some Primevals.
Transmat firing,
D
I think that's as far as they could've gone with that one without crossing the ratings line.
And my fave for last. So, there's a lore book about Ada-1 making the loom for transmog and at one point she visits Rahool for help. And he explains that it will take a long time to search for things she needs so she asks if she can search herself. And then:
Rahool shook his head. "Access to the classified archives is limited to sanctioned Guardians, Tower support staff, or the Vanguard themselves. You are none of those things."
Ada scoffed. "Don't be ridiculous, I've seen that Drifter perusing this data on a weekly basis for his own amusement."
"That's not— there's no way—" Rahool stammered and blushed. "I assure you, no such breach has occurred."
I'm sorry, but nobody will ever convince me that this isn't confirmation that Rahool and Drifter are hooking up and Rahool is giving him access to the Cryptarchy archives.
The way this is written is beyond funny. First, Ada practically lives next to Drifter and she says she's SEEN him using the archives. So she has personally seen something going on between Drifter and Rahool. On a weekly basis.
And then also Rahool "stammering and blushing." That's fanfic level acknowledgement. Why would he stammer and blush if he didn't allow it? Wouldn't he be angry about it and ask that Ada tell him all she knows right away so that he can report Drifter? Nope. He's stammering and blushing. Case closed.
In conclusion, Drifter likes dangerous women who can snap him in half and Awoken men. I don't blame him.
Additionally, something I like very much, a certain bounty you can take for Gambit:
The text changes depending on your character's gender. This is the text for the female Guardian, but if you're on a male Guardian, he'll say it the other way around with king/queen.
Drifter says trans rights!
#destiny 2#drifter#petra#rahool#ask#lore vibing#long post#drifter is very chill and accepting#if you give him any positive attention he falls in love with you#bless

Hai, Um.
Do you think you can do modern Morro x shy/anxious and clingy reader headcanons?
I mainly want basics. How they met, first date, etc. you can add NSFW if you want to. But I do have one special request.
Can they be the type to wear a lot of soft clothes? Both in color and texture. I read that Morro would like someone wearing a lot of pastels, so I’d appreciate it if you can do that! ^^
Thank you!
-🦋
Hello. Thank u for requesting as it is the first time someone ask for a favor and sorry it took a while to write this as im still in sickbed. Well, here it goes...
Morro X OC ( Woman/ Man/ Non- Binary) HeadCanons in Modern AU.
Credits to @artist
GENERAL
- Since this AU where there's no myth, elemental powers, dragons as well as evil magical creatures, this takes place at around North America or Canada cause it seemed more peaceful and relevant to the environment.
- Morro is a freelance paid hitman or a mafia who run a motorbike gang, who went to university to pursue his study in Old Literature cause he's also interested in primeval history and the language as well as to keep his personal life and risky life separated.
- Speaking of literature, he had long been interested in medieval and mythology culture and history and had kept some swords he purchased via black market.
- Fluent in English, Russia, Ukraine, Japanese, Korean, Siamese and Indonesian. He read some language books in the library where he and his gang usually went to work on their last minute projects.
- From child, he is self taught in swordsmanship and hand to hand combat. This could be convenient whenever danger lurks in.
- He resided in an apartment at a very dangerous alleyway, but he shrugged it off as he’s accustomed to hardships.
- You will see him in discreet with his friends, Wrayth, Banshaa, Soul Archer and Ghoultar at the parking space where they all placed their baddass motorcycle, the college barista or the lounge where they will reluctantly attend if there's any mandatory meeting or seminar.
- He's actually quite gifted for someone hardly lay an eye on books as he manage to enter the university in ease with A's and B's, not to mention he hardly pay any attention to class.
- He is very well aware of how royally fucked up the society is and how it molded the people mind. He accepted the fuck up reality the moment he was born, despite being born in one of the worse alley, having a loving mother for a brief moment before her death less than a year, a deadbeat piece of crap of father who left and made himself more trashier, Morro was placed in foster care who keep dumping him back at foster home due to his 'angsty' or 'sassy' demeanor. Morro is actually quite bitter but manage to hid it in his cocky smirk and blunt remark.
- He can actually be charming and seductive if he wants but he made abundantly clear he doesn't want to make commitments, especially to potentially backstabbers. He also does not believe in abusing it, seeing how it screw his mother and some women he witness.
- By 16 years old, he made a vow to live by himself by forging documents to make it him a legalized adult and manage to dupe the court, social services as well as the cops. He succeed in throwing them all off for 2 years straight and by the time the social service tried to reach out for him, he show cased the real document with a smirk that says "I'm free, Dumbasses."
- Is actually a high tolerance for drinking.
- Doesn't do smoking or drug. Just doesn't want to damage his body.
- Is actually a cheeryboy (still has V- Card) and can put a facade that he's a lady killer, whereas those women are his secret circle that they meet to pass info regarding his job.
- Yes, his meeting rendezvous is always at casino or at bar, which reeked alcohol or women, but he is actually a very self sufficient, cautious and observant of his surrounding who can blend in and doesn't mingle with random people as he is very well - guarded.
TYPE OF PARTNER THAT SUITED HIM
- Someone who is empathic and impartial about him as well as about the society and the world. The person must be extremely understanding about him as well as his circumstances. Someone who is also open minded who understand how his mind worked.
-If you display as a bitchy Karen, voyeur John or a bigot genius wannabe/ asshole bully, sayonara to his first impression!
- Someone who is calm, collected, soft spoken and quiet. He doesn't like someone who is excessively chatty for nonsense topic as he just want to spend the remaining hours in peace and quiet.
- Someone who’s also timid and shy, especially with him specifically. He will feel pride and joy to have a sense of security as his OC looked up to him as their Alpha.
- Someone who is also self sufficient, responsible laced with boldness. The partner must know he cannot be with them for 24/7 and thus must know basics.
- Someone who is selfless as fuck! Who will try to help the need!
- Someone who knows that Morro is the dominant partner here. So, the partner must looked up to him as their alpha.
OPTIONAL
- He does not care if the person is taller than him. He will find it alluring as it stood to sexiness.
-He will also appreciate if the person is self taught about defensive combatant or being studious. He will be incredibly blessed!!
- He will also like it if the partner will do the cooking. Not trying to sound sexist but he already is a horrible cook.
- He does not care about appearances. Only merits matter! (But in this HC the partner is slim, slender, tall with long black hair)
- He also likes if the person is athletic ( side talent) and if the person is major in ocean based, he will marry them!
HOW THEY MEET
-Let's just out of the blue, in order to randomly attract Morro's attention, there must be a click with the same bizarre vibe as him. Morro will eye sided them briefly over the random encounter, such as the library, the chancellor hall, the barista. It wasn't obvious as Morro mastered in the art of discreet however, his circle of friends are aware of it and Wrayth always teased about it.
-One day, Morro happened to be the only one who entered the class and dumbfoundedly sat at the end of the table where he and his gang usually sat. A few minutes later, the person who he had laid eyes for a few months ago entered the class and sat at the front of the seating. The person is not a pariah or unpopular but most of the time just rejoice to solitude, like him.
- Both did not know that the class is cancelled and the person suddenly stood up and strike a conversation with Morro, who both checked their phone to find out about it. They both laugh about it.
- Morro took the chance to strike a move by asking for their number and they both exchanged numbers before Morro ask if they want to grab a coffee together.
- Much to Morro's joy, the person is also a discreet person who keeps a small group of friends. Morro makes a schedule to spend time with the mysterious person due to his secret life, as well as his own alone time to do his hobbies.
DATE
- Morro usually bought a bouquet of roses for every date they make.
-Morro may appear tough and fierce but he can let his guard down with his OC as he usually lay his head on their lap and let them brush his hair.
- They both usually do picnics on the mountain as both enjoyed the privacy.
- They both usually eat at bar or barista, not lavish dinner you think as they both enjoy simple meal as they both treasured time more.
CLOTHES
- We all know Morro's clothing is a grungy or delinquent style (black bomber jacker, motorcycle jacket or denim jacket), cargo pants and white plain t shirt and a boxer to sleep.
- OC clothes consist of black abaya dress in different styling during regular day/ work/ class as OC is actually modest in dressing, long black plain t shirt and black stirrup pants during leisure at home or going for sport related workout and white loose button up blouse and blue skirt for sleep.
- Morro used to love wearing pastel color during childhood days but loose hope in brightness as time goes by. He doesn't mind wearing any pastel clothes as long as there is any relation to the event for the day such as Christmas or autumn day.
NSFW
- Despite both of them being virgins, it would be a lie to say none of them felt the sensation of heat thorough time to time again.
- Morro will first make a move by leaning forward to kiss, earning timid and quiet gasps from the latter, most likely when he suddenly become preoccupied with his anger and suddenly just want to release it…
- Morro can be very convincing to ensure that his partner felt comfortable doing it.
- I'm guessing both lose it at a random motel or somewhere dangerous as they both love the thrill.
- Morro is very rough and slow. You'll hardly see him in gentle pace.
- Morro will let out a husky moan that is in average level, his partner on the other hand just gives quiet moans and gasps.
- He can be quite considerate despite how often he want to do it.
- He will leave deep love bites around their neck and back.
- He will usually be turned on by having OC roleplay and sit on his lap, with hair brushing to stimulate more heat in the mood, not care whether in a bar or in his room, he will become aggressive.
- He rarely masturbate (doesn't find a reason to) but he knows some basic due to some colleagues give a few hints.
- He can do it at both risky and private place, but ensure his partner safety and comfort so they won’t freak out.
- He loves it if OC wears a lace lingerie or the lingerie dress from Victoria secret.
- He usually initiated first as his OC is often shy and hesitant, he did not mind to take things slowly.
- He is flexible as he can do it anytime, despite how much ounce of self control he have mastered, as well as his sexual urges as he always kept well guarded.
- He likes to do it rough to feel his partner and he usually lasted for 4 times in a row, in about 3 hours.
- He enjoyed having his OC pinned down and rarely let his OC dominate him. If they ride him, he will still lead the situation and placed his hands around her hips for leverage, often teasing OC as well as consoling her timid nature.
- He loves to have his partner lay their slim body on his chest side to see their pretty face, having their face facing his as Morro wrapped an arm around her.
- He usually take a few minutes as his OC usually passed out after the coitus to gather his breathe and whispers love to his OC before he drifted to sleep.

Ok so this is mostly just wild speculation on my part but since most of this is likely to be disproved in the next 24 hours I figured what the hell might as well put my ideas out there.
So in the Sixth Lostbelt, a Lostbelt deeply tied to Morgan and her nature as Fairy I might remind you, we are introduced to these beings called Mors. These Mors are described as dead fairies and referred to as "the black algae that pollutes the world with its existence, the curse of Britain, killer of fairies ". Now after reading this I couldn't help but be reminded of the info we have about PHH Morgan, who is said to have " inherited the primeval curse that lurks in the British Isles in the form of blackened magical energy of the same kind of Excalibur Morgan's " I can't help but fell like there is some sort of connection between the two, the Mors and this blackened magical energy and further I also can't help seeing a parallel between the duality of the Mors/ Fairies and the duality of Morgan/ Vivian and Excalibur/ Excalibur Morgan.
Also when thinking about the possible relationship between Morgan and the Mors (who are basically fairy ghosts) it reminded me of PHH Morgans connection to a certain Magus family who specializes in dealing with the spirits of dead things, the Blackmores.
Now granted that last idea probably won't really amount to much as the Mors and Blackmores are probably only similarly named due to their shared conection to the latin word for death, for reasons that should be pretty clear. There is also the fact that the Blackmores only got their name because of their history with Gransurg Blackmore who was from Austria of all places and probably doesn't have any connections to the Fairies of Great Britain. Still though if you look into it, Arthurian /Fairy lore in the Nasuverse seems to have quite a few connections to figures that in the Tsukihime timelines are known Dead Apostle Ancestors.
You have the easy one in Fou/ Cath Palug and Primate Murder, but going back into looking at Gransurg we know that he is one of the key participants in the Aylesbury Valesti the ritual said to revive The Dark Six. This ritual, set for some reason in a town in England (my pet theory is its set on the isle of Britain because its the "Navel of the World" in the Nasuverse) is believed to have started what was basically the overcount 1999 equivalent in the world of Fate/EXTRA and probably involved the Harweys. The Harweys just like Gransurg have ties to both the Aylesbury Valesti AND Arthurian Britain as shown by their Sword Camelot: Castle of the assembled brilliant Holy Sword codecast/spell.
As an almost completely unrelated aside Sword Camelot seems to fallow a naming convention of stuff related to Camelot and Saber's time as king and her knights. We have Sword Camelot: Castle of the assembled brilliant Holy Sword, Lord Camelot: Now is a Castle of Distant Ideals, Camelot Image: Fleeting Forgotten Castle and now most recentlly with Morgan we've got Lordless Camelot: The Now Unreachable Utopia.
My point is Nasu seems to be deliberately showing us things in part 2 of FGO that are connected with Tsukihime and by extension its upcoming remake, we have stuff like Fou and Primate Murder, Sion as our newest member of Chaldea, what are basically True Ancestors in Lostbelt 3 and of course what is all but certainly ORT in Lostbelt 7. Also remember that True Ancestors are a kind of fairy and we have all these connections between fairies and King Arthur and King Arthur and DAA stuff which is naturally connected with True Ancestor stuff.
Basicly how my theory is goes is this. The nature of fairies and Arthurian Britain within the Nasuverse have an, at this point a mostly unexplained relationship with the True Ancestors / Dead Apostle Ancestors and that understanding this relationship is THE Key component in understanding BOTH the Timeline split between Tsukihime worlds and Fate worlds and the plot of / major story changes from the original in the upcoming Tsukihime remake. AND it is my belief that a Huge amount of info explaining the sofar unexplained relationship between Fairies/ Arthurian Britain and Nasu Vampires will be reveled to US in the soon to released Lostbelt 6 part 2.
Sorry if this was rather chaotic. I hope I made my points clear and that my info about what we do know for certain was correct. So any thoughts?

hi hello i just started following you can you give me the quick and dirty rundown of your oc's??? pleeeeeaaaase
Oh wow... oh boy... well, first of all welcome <3
Second of all, I am 87% sure you are gonna regret this ask^^’
Quick and dirty you say. I will simply follow my edits tag backwards and see what I’ll find tracing back my hyperfixations ;)
Lyra Stark (Game of Thrones - Robert’s Rebellion Era)
Lyanna’s older sister. Love interest is Arthur Dayne. They pretend Jon is theirs after the rebellion, to keep him save from Robert. It’s all the classic fake marriage, co-parenting tropes we love about rom coms, but it’s GoT so it’s also mildly depressing x’D Also, this was 100% @perfectlystiles fault, because unfortunately she appears to know my trigger words ^^’
Moira Finnigan (Harry Potter - Marauders Era / Golden Era)
One true love of one Sirius Black. Her story is simultaneously told in two timelines - one telling the story of her Hogwarts years, the war and how she and Sirius found each other. The other one picks up during POA, when Sirius escapes from Azkaban and then spans the second war.
Nora Black Finnigan (Harry Potter - Golden Era)
Daughter of Moira and Sirius, is in the same year as Ginny, but forms a close relationship with the Weasley twins - especially George. Even though her story naturally spans the second war, it’s a lot about healing - first it’s about overcoming the pain of believing your father is a mass murderer and the wizarding world’s Most HatedTM and then later about living with the trauma of having fought in and survived a war.
Jay Vendar (Star Wars)
Star Wars - kinda inbetweeny RotJ and Mandalorian. All Jay Vendar wants is to live the quiet life on Takodana and keep his little sister Ria as far away from thetug-of-war between the Empire and the New Republic. But his plans go up in smoke when Ria and their friends not only buy an old Imperial freighter from Maz Kanata, but also agree to help a Togruta named Ahsoka Tano save a group of very special children from the clutches of the crumbling Empire.
Lady Leila (Narnia)
Leila grows up at the Telmarine court with Caspian. When his uncle’s looks and advances get too close for comfort, she assigns Caspian’s help to make a match for herself that will take her away from his uncle’s leering eyes and wandering hands. It’s not long until Caspian realises that there probably is a reason that he can’t even stand the thought of her marrying another man, but just as the two of them start to question the nature of their feelings for each other, Caspian mysteriously disappears on the same night Prunaprismia gives birth to Miraz’s son…
Dr. Ellie Taylor (Primeval)
When Dr. Eleanor Taylor lands her dream job at the top secret Anomaly Research Center, she thinks she’s as prepared as humanely possible when you share your workplace with a bunch of dinosaurs… and a mammoth. But she isn’t prepared for time travelling murderers, the impending end of the world - or for the feelings she catches for the ARC’s stoic Head of Security.
Nyka’a Sundar & Jaren Korr (Star Wars)
“Emotion, yet peace. Ignorance, yet knowledge. Passion, yet serenity. Chaos, yet harmony. Death, yet the Force.” Nyka’a Sundar and Jaren Korr have recited these lines every day of their lifes growing up in the Jedi Temple of Coruscant, but when the young Jedi’s deep bond of friendship blossoms into something more - something beautiful and dangerous and forbidden - they have to decide if living their lives by this ancient code can ever be enough for them again. ( aka. my Star Wars universe romance novel ^^’)
Mila Lebedev (MCU)
When a young Mila defected from Russia and The Red Room following the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. she never expected that nine years later she’d find herself working, fighting and living with the newly crowned Captain America and a weary hundred year old ex-assassin. (my soft girl I love her so much)
Cassia (Star Wars - Sequel Era)
When Poe Dameron finds himself on the remote planet of Lok - injured, hunted by the first order and without back up - he is saved by a street thief named Cassia. Realising the young woman could be a dead ringer for the missing crown princess of the Aquilean System, Poe hatches a desperate escape plan. With unforeseen consequences for him… and Cassia.
Tarlesyn Sand (Game of Thrones post!S8)
(no gif, just manips^^’) When a series of unfortunate events leave Tarlesyn Sand, the only bastard son of Oberyn Martell and Ellaria Sand, as acting ambassador to the newly independant Kingdom of The North, the young man is less than thrilled. A son of sand and heat is not cut out for the bitter cold of winter and there are hundreds of places in the now Six Kingdoms that he would rather be exploring. But when he arrives at Winterfell and meets the beautiful young Queen, Tarlesyn finds that there might be something about the North that he could love…
Detective Catherine Williams (Titans Prequel)
Most days he was her best friend. He was the most important person in her life always. And some days… Some days she was almost in love with him. Some days she thought it was enough for her. But laying on the ground with both her hands pressing down on a gunshot wound and looking up at her partner’s masked face she realized just how wrong she’d been. It turned out Cat Williams didn’t know Dick Grayson at all…
I went “And that should be it” at least three times and then found more I AM SO SORRY T_T I stuck to my fandom OCs too and spared you the army of my original rejects^^’ Thank you for following and for asking and if you really read all this <3

Building America Chavez in D&D 5e
Sorry I’ve been mostly quiet, but certain recent events made me wish to take a break from posting. I do feel bad I didn’t do more for a Pride Month, however so I thought of doing something that will let me combine both trying to lift my spirits up (especially since I haven’t done one of those in a while) and doing little fun thing for LGBTQ followers - letting them play a game that is known as a good escapist fantasy as one of our favorite characters. We’re building America Chavez today.
First of all, let’s define Goals for this build. First of all, we need to kick and punch hard and be able to take a hit as well and be super fast. Second, we need to kick so hard to open portals to other dimensions. Finally, we need to be able to fly and shine bright light.
Regarding Ability Scores America is one of those characters who should have 20 in everything, but we cannot really do that so I’m gonna prioritize what we need for the build. As always I’m taking basic template from Tulok the Barbarian so we’ll be unig Standard Point Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10 and 8). If you want to roll or use point-buy, go ahead and use these as guidelines, just remember you’ll need 13 inWisdom and Dexterity for multiclassing.
Strength: 14, You can throw tanks at the moon
Dexterity: 13, we need it for multiclassing purpose. Also, I doubt any medium or heavy armor goes with short shorts, America’s outfits are light armor at best.
Constitution: 15, you can take hits from the likes of She-Hulk, Vision and Thanos
Intelligence: 10, you don’t need it but America did go to college to expand her knowledge of cosmic stuff.
Wisdom: 12, living on your own since being a child means picking up some survival skills.
Charisma: 8, low but we will bumb it with rracial ability scores.
Speaking of Race, America is from another planet, descendant of a race created by two celestial beings, who can fly and shine her star marks. and if that doesn’t speak Protector Aasimar, I do not know what does. You gain +2 to Charisma and +1 to Wisdom, resistance to necrotic and radiant damage and know Common and Celestial languages. Your Darkvision lets you see 60 feet in dim light as in normal light and in darkness as in dim light, but without abilitty to discern colors. Once per long rest you can heal a person (or yourself) for number of hit points equal your level. Finally, you get a Light Cantrip, which lets you make one object no larger in any dimension than 10 feet and make it shine bright light in a 20 feet radius and dim light in next 20 feet. Use it for your own stars.
Background: You are from another planet in another dimension so Far Traveller is closest to that. You gain proficiency in any language of your choice, pick something campaign relevant. You get proficiency in Insight and Perception and a single musical instrument or gaming set of your choice. You have an All Eyes On You feature, which makes you a center of attention and opens you doors of curious nobles and scholars.
Class Features:
Level 1: We will kick things off as a Ranger. You gain proficiency in Dexterity and Strength saving throws, light and medium armor, simple and martial weapons, shields and two skills, choose Athletics and Investigation.
We will be using Ranger options from Class Variants Unearthed Arcana, which is free. Deft Explorer lets you pick one of 3 options - Tireless lets you a number of times equal your Wisdom modifier per long rest gain 1d10+ Your Wisdom modifier temporary hit points as an action. If you are suffering from Exhaustion and take a short rest, you lose a level of it.
Favored Fore lets you cast Hunter’s Mark on a target without expending a spell slot a number of times equal your Wisdom modifier and don’t need concentration to maintain it. Hunter’s Mark let’s you pick one target and for its duration (up to an hour) you deal 1d6 extra damage whenever you hit it with an attack and gain advanate on Survival and Perception checks to find it. And if the target drops to zero hit points before spell ends you can move it to another as a bonus action. So if you are chasing after Loki again, this will come in handy.
Level 2: 2nd Level Ranger gets to pick a Fighting Style. Unarmed Fighting lets your unarmed attacks deal 1d6+your Strength modifier damage, 1d8 if you hit with two hands at once (or do a dropkick, I guess) and when you start a grapple and whenever you hit a grappled creature you can deal it extra 1d4 bludgeoning of damage. As with Tulok, we pick this one a lot because a lot of superheroes just use fists. If you feel YOUR America should be swinging a waraxe, go for it and pick something else.
On this level Rangers get spellcasting. you know a number of spells and cannot know spells of higher level than you have spell slots for, whenever you cast a spell you spend spell slot of appriopriate level or higher. If a spell requires a saving throw it is against difficulty of 8 + Your Proficiency Modifier + Your Wisdom modifier and the latter two you also sum up to add to a Spell Attack roll if a spell requires one. You start with two spells.
Cure Wounds lets you touch a creature or yourself and heal for 1d8+ Your Wisdom modifier of hit points.
Zephyr Strike lasts for a 1 minute on concentration and for this time you don’t provoke opportunitty attacks and when you deal your first attack you get to make it with an advantage and your speed increases by 30 feet for this turn.
Level 3: Once you reach this level Protector Aasimar gains Radiant Soul, letting you once per long rest radiate with positive energy, even spouting mings made of light from your back. If your DM allows you can probably gain the benefits without that visual add-on. This form lasts for one minute and gives you flying speed equal your regular speed and once on each of your turns you can deal extra radiant damage equal your level to a creature you hit with an attack or a spell.
3rd Level Ranger gets to choose a Ranger Conclave. Horizon Walker specializes in dimensional travel and interdimensional threats. You can as an action sense location of a nearest interdimensional portal once per short or long rest. You also become a Planar Warrior, which means you can use your bonus action to select one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. During this turn when you attack that creature you not only deal extra 1d8 damage but also all damage from that attack gets converted to force damage. Force is the least protected against type of damage in the game, there is literally a single creature immune to it and zero creatures with resistance to it in entire Monster Manual.
At this level Ranger also gains Primeval Awareness, letting you spend a spell slot to be able to sense all aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, and undead within one mile from you for duration of 1 minute per spell slot’s level, but does not tell you their exact location or number. It is horribly situational, costs your valuable resource and is basically a shittier version of Divine Sense, an abilitty Paladin gets on first level. It’s actually a core Ranger abilitty and it does have a replacement in Unearthed Arcana.... buuut that replacement gives you a bunch of extra spells that aren’t really America’s style. At least I am far more likely to beleive she is able to pick subtle hints of presence of various creatures due to her years of experience fighting everything the Multiverse threw at her, than I am that she can detect and talk to animals and plants or be able to see through an animal’s eyes. If you want to sacrifice some thematic coherence for more powerful build, be my guest.
Hunter’s Mark is now added to your spells’ known as a bonus from Favored Foe and Horizon Walker gives you another additional spell - Protection From Evil and Good, letting you make aberrations, celestials, elementals, fey, fiends, and undead have disadvantage on attacks against yourself or another creature. The target of the spell cannot be charmed, frightened or posessed by these creatures and if that already happend before you cast the spell, it rolls saving throws to shake it off with an advantage. A lot of lovecraftian horrors try to eat your teammate and future god for his future god powers, this will help against that.
Our regular spell for this level will be Absorb Elements. You can cast it as a reaction whenever you take acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage and it grants you resistance to that and next time you hit a target on your next turn, it takes extra 1d6 of that type of damage. This second feature is less impressive at higher levels where a lot of creatures dealing that type of damage are resitant or outright immune to it. Every dragon is immune to the damage dealt by its breath for example. EXCEPT that as a Palanar Warrior you convert that to force damage. Their offense just makes you hit harder.
4th Level: Sticking with Ranger for an Abilitty Score Improvement or a Feat. Resilent lets you add 1 to your Constitution and makes you proficient with Constitution saving throw. a large number of your spells is depending on Concentration so this is a good way to keep going even after you take a hit.
5th Level: Ranger gains an extra attack, letting you attack twice in a single attack action. Remember, those attacks are all affected by your Planar Warrior power.
You also gain access to 2nd level spells
Lesser Restoration, letting you cure one disease or a blinded, deafened, paralyzed, or poisoned condition from one creature. America heals fast.
Horizon Walker gives us Misty Step, which lets you teleport 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.
6th Level: You can pick second Deft Explorer feature. I will go with Roving to increase your speed by 5 feet and give you climbing and swimming speed equal to your walking speed. America is fast and with that you can move to your foes no matter where they are.
7th Level: Horizon Walker gives you Etheral Step. You can now once per short or long rest cast, as a bonus action, Etherealnesss on yourself without expending a spell slot but it only lasts one turn. It lets you step into Ethereal Plane where you can move without being affected by enemies or walls or magic effects on material plane. You can use this to move aout of the harm’s way or (more likely) behind enemy lines to punch that one guy who keeps hiding behind the tank.
You also get one more spell but I’m not feeling these 2nd level spells so we will pick Longstrider, which increases your movement speed by 10 feet for 1 hour, no concentration required. This means you can now walk, climb, swim or fly up to 45 feet per turn. And you cannot tell me America isn’t super fast, considering in her debut book she did this
8th Level: We will now jump to Cleric. America has multitude of things she could worship, be it Demiurge or Spirits Beracca and Sanar who created your home planet or even your moms and their messianic-like sacrifice. Or not, Clerics don’t need to worship a diety, they can draw the power from just believing this strongly in something the universe registers it as faith. Lou Wilson on The Unsleeping City plays a Cleric who is a doctor that draws power from caring about his patients so much, you don’t need to limit yourself just because you may dislike certain parts of character history.
Whatever your reasons, you get to pick a Divine Domain. Since America can travel between dimensions, she basically is a Planeswalker. Meaning she can jump to Magic: the Gathering setting Amonketh from one of Planeshift supplements and grab the Strength Domain. You gain proficiency in one extra skill, pick Survival, and heavy armor.
You also get Cleric spellcasting, which works as Ranger’s except you know all your Cleric spells and you prepare which spells you have ready each day. You also get cantrips, which you can cast as many times as you want. Your number of spell slots is determined by multiclassing table - check out a level equal your Cleric level + half your Ranger level rounded down to consult how many spell slots you have for use.
You get 3 Cantrips, two spells and two extra spells and an extra cantrip from Strength domain so we have some work to do.
Guidance and Resistance each lets you add a d4 to a single ability check or a saving throw respectively. This shit is life saving. No, I did not spend my last game lamenting guidance is not on Bard Spell list after my bard failed an important skill check by 1, why are you asking?
Thunderclap lets you clap your hands so hard every creature 5 feet from you needs to make a Constitution saving throw or be dealt 1d6 thunder damage. It is a staple for powerhouses, Hulk basically patented it.
Bless lets you pick up to 3 creatures, including yourself. For the duration they add 1d4 to attack rolls and saving throws
Detect Magic lets you sense or see influence of magic within 30 feet from you unless it’s hiding behind a thick enough barrier. Again, America been around, she can recognize a lot of tricks.
Divine Favor lets you add 1d4 of Radiant damage to your attacks. America’s punches are that strong.
Shield of Faith meanwhile grants you +2 bonus to your AC. Again, short shorts can barelly pass for light armor, less alone medium or heavy so you need all help you can get.
9th Level: 2nd Level Cleric gets to use their Channel Divinity.once per short or long rest
The standard use is Turn Undead, which forces all undead who see you to make a Wisdom saving throw or be turned for 1 minute or until they take damage, making them unable to do anything but spend their turn dashing away from you. You may say it is not in character but America travelled across the Multiverse a lot. Do you know what you can find in Marvel Multiverse a lot? Zombies. Especially Marvel Zombies. And even then, regular zombies in D&D are also know as “PAIN IN THE BUTT TO FIGHT WITH” so whichever kind of undead is bothering you, this will help.
Strength Domain grants you another use of this, Feat of Strength. You can choose to spend your use of Channel Divinity to add +10 to an attack roll, abilitty check or saving throw using Strength.
Finally, Unearthed Arcana lets you spend your use of this feature to regain a 1st level spell slot. It’s situational, but could be useful in a pinch.
Our spell for the level will be Sanctuary - cast it on one creature of your choice to make enemies have to roll a Wisdom saving throw whenever they want to target it with an attack or a harmful spell or have to choose another target. You can play this one as goading enemies to fight her to distract them from civilians or your mroe squishy teammates like Billy or Loki. Warning, don’t waste it on either Kate or Quentin Quire, they are likely to just go and shoot someone and the spell ends if target attacks someone, casts a harmful spell or causes damage from an already active spell. So no, Quentin, you cannot cast Spirit Guardians and then have America Sanctuary you, stop asking and read an errata already!
10th Level: 3rd Level Cleric gets 2 2nd Level spell slots
Aid lasts for an hour and lets you increase hit point maximum and current hit points of up to 3 party members by fve, always useful as a form of a battle plan to keep everyone safe.
Warding Bond lets you for an hour create a bond between you and another creature for 1 hour with no concentration. As long as the target is within 60 feet of you it gets +1 to AC and resistance to all damage but whenever it takes damage, you take as much damage and if you get further than 60 feet away from one another or you drop to 0 hit points, the spell ends. So cast this on Kate, Monica or Billy who are squishy but know to stay in the back. Don’t cast it on Ramone, Eddie, Adam, Teddy, Carol, T’Challa, Noh-Varr, Gwen, David, Eli or Galactus who are likely to be with you in the front line. And don’t cast it on Quentin, he is squishy and should stay in the back but he cannot be trusted, this kid has no self-perservation instinc whatsoever. Same goes for Loki, who is supposed to be smarter but still keeps poking everything around for one scheme or another.
Strength Domain gives us Enchance Abilitty, which grants you an advantage on abilitty chekcs of chosen Ability score and some minor bonuses if you pick Strength, Dexterity or Constitution. As I’ve said, America is good at everything as if she was an anime character, this will help you emulate that.
Protection from Poison for an hour, no concentration, gives the target advantage on saving throws against being poisoned and resistance to poison damage and when cast removes one poison already affecting the target.
11th Level: 4th Level Cleric gets an Abilitty Score Improvement, invest in your Strength. Spoiler, this will be where all your remaining Abilitty Score improvements will go.
You get one more cantrip and one more spell
Virtue grants the target 1d4+your spellcasting abilitty modifier of temporary hit points for one round
Branding Smite, which was added in Unearthed Arcana, lets you deal extra 2d6 Radiant damage and if the target was invisible it now becomes visible and cannot becopme invisible for the duration of the spell as it shines bright light in 5-feet radius. America punching someone out of their invisiblity so hard they now glitter? Sounds about right.
12th Level: 5th Level Cleric can destroy all undead of challenge rating 1/2 or less who failed saving throw against turn undead.
You get even more spells, gaining access to third level ones.
Remove Curse lets you remove effects of a curse from a person or break attunment to cursed item. Use it on yourself to simply shrug off the enemy curses
Tongues lets you understand any language and be understood by all other creatures for an hour. You ever noticed how all realities America goes to seem to speak English? This may be why.
Protection From Energy lets you get resistance to acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder. for the duration, on concentration of course.
Haste also lasts on concentration. it doubles your speed, grants +2 to AC, an advantage on Dexterity saving throws and an extra attaction you can use to take Dash, Disengage, Hide or use object action or make a single extra attack. Once it ends you cannot take actions for a turn,
13th Level: 6th Level Cleric can use Channel Divinity twice per short or long rest, gains a new use from Strength domain, letting you as a reaction grant +10 to another creature’s attack roll, ability check or saving throw using Strength. Sometimes you jsut want to cheer up on your girlfriend to punch someone harder, you know?
You also get to pick one more spell - magic Circle lets you ward an area of 10 feet radius and 20 feet height from celestials, elementals, fey, fiends, or undead, whichever you choose. You can either protect creatures inside from that type of enemies or trap them inside the circle. Either way the selected creature type cannot willingly cross the border of the circle, had disadvantage against targets on the other side cannot charm, frighter or possess and if it tries to circumvent this by using teleportation of any sort it needs to first succeed a Charisma saving throw.
14th Level: 7th Level Cleric gets 4th level spells
Freedom of Movement lets you for one hour, no concentration required, make yourself unaffected by difficult terrain and magic cannot in any way reduce your speed, restrain or paralyze you, you can spend 5 feet from your movement to escape nonmagical restraints and being underwater doesn’t impose any penalty on your movement.
Dominate Beast isn’t really in character so I will focus on second bonus spell Strength Domain gives you - Stoneskin grants you resistance to nonmagical Bludgeoning, Piercing and Slashing damage
Stoneskin is not an excuse to wear this awful outfit from Vengenace, tho.
15th Level: 8th Level Cleric gains Divine Strike, letting you once on each of your turns add extra 1d8 of that damage type. You also get to pick another Abilitty Score improvement and your Destroy Undead abilitty upgrades to undeads of CR 1 or less.
Your spell for this level will be Banishment, forcing a Charisma Saving throw on the target and sending it to another dimension if it fails. If the target is native to this plane, it is send to a harmless dimension and comes back once spell ends. But if it is not, it is send to its home plane and if you maintain concentration for one minute, it does not return. As with Magic Circle this is less something we hase SEEN America do but sounds like something she should be able to do. Open a portal under something and let it fall.
16th Level: 9th Level Cleric gets one spell of 4th level and one of 5th level.
Greater Restoration lets you remove from atarget a single level of exhaustion, one curse, one reduction of an abilitty score or hit point maximum, one effect that charmed or petrified the target. Use this on yourself to shrug off everything. Except perficication, kinda hard to use this while petrified.
Strength Domain gives you two extra spells, but Insect Plague isn’t very in character. Destructive Wave, however, lets you strike the ground, making every creature of your choice within 30-feet range take 5d6 thunder and 5d6 radiant or necrotic damage and be knocked prone, half damage on a succesful Constitution saving throw. You stomp the ground that hard.
Death Ward lasts for 8 hours with no concentration, first time a target would be dropped to zero hit points, they’re dropped to 1 hit points instead. If an effect would kill target instantly without dealing damage (say POWER WORD: KILL) it is negated. Either way the spell ends after a single activation. Sounds useful considering one of people on America’s shit list is COSMIC TITAN CHAMPION OF DEATH
17th Level: 10th Level Cleric gains Divine Intervention, which lets you call upon the power of whoever you picked as your patron diety. You describe what you want to happen and roll a percentage dice - if your result is lower than your Cleric level, diety intervenes in a way choosen by the DM. If you succed on this, you cannot use this feature for a week, if you fail you cannto do it until after a long rest.
You get one new Cantrip and one new 5th Level Spell
Word of Radiance forces all creatures of your choice to suceed a Constitution saving throw or take 4d6 radiant damage. You shine so bright you literally hurt your enemies.
Legend Lore lets you gain knowledge about a legendary object, person or location, up to mysterious secrets. Again, America has been travelling through the Multiverse, she likely has seen everything and recalls things that seem to be happenning again.Information may be a bit cyrptic, tho.
18th Level: 11th Level Cleric’s Destroy Undead improves to undeads of CR 2 or lower. You also get an access to 6th Level Spell - otherwordly Form was added to Cleric Spell List in Unearthed Arcana. It lets you for the duration (up to 1 minute on concentration) grant yourself flying speed of 40 feet, use of your Wisdom in place of Strength for attack rolls, an additional attack that doesn’t stack with your extra attack and immunity to either fire and poison damage and poisoned condition or radiant and necrotic damage and charmed comdition. This will help if you out of your Radiant Soul and need to fly again, but it is sadly not as good on this particular build because we already have an extra attack and rely more on Strength than Wisdom. But Clerics don’t get Fly.
19th Level: Speaking of Strength, 12th Level fo Cleric and our Final Abilitty Score Improvement lets us finally cap it.
20th Level: Our captsone is 13th Level of Cleric for a 7th Level spell - Plane Shift lets you become your party’s ticked to the Multiverse, letting you transport yourself and up to 8 willing creatures to another plane of existence or to banish an unwilling creature to a random location on a plane you choose if you hit it with a meele spell attack you make as a part of this spell and it fails Charisma Saving throw.
Overview: So this is my take on America Chavez - Protector Aasimar Horizon Walker Ranger 7/Strength Domain Cleric 13. Now let us see how valiable this build is:
Pros: First of all, you are really tough, with around 165 hit points, a number of spells you can set up to buff yourself and/or others you will be very hard to hurt. Second, you have a large number of ways to hurt your enemies and even combine them to deal some impressive damage. Finally, you have a ton of mobility options, letting you chase all most important targets all across the battlefield.
Cons: A lot of your spells require concentration and we didn’t cap this one, so it is mediocre. A lot of your offensive options compete for bonus action and your buffs require some prep time and forward thinking to set up or wasting your time during the combat. A number of offensive spells relies on your Wisdom modifier, which is weak.
However, you are pretty good at what you do best - punching and taking on yourself major threats. You are a reliable tank who can outlast her enemies in combat. Punch people and protect your friends, jsut remember you cannot do it all alone and your teammates are much more squishy - protect them and they’ll have your back
Alternatives:
There is a number of ways in which you could upgrade this build but sacrifice some of loyalty to America’s potrayal.
* Ranger 6/Cleric 14 lets you increase your Divine Strike Damage to 2d8, meaning you can deal 4d8 damage when combined with Planar Warrior.
* Ranger 12/Cleric 8 lets you increase your Planat Warrior Damage and gains extra attack from Horizon Walker’s 11th level feature, making you much more offensive but also with more hp.
* Change stats to STR 12 DEX 13 CON 14 INT 10 WIS 15 CHA 8. Pick Druidic Warrior as your fighting style, grab a club or a staff and pick shillelagh as your cantrip, letting you use your Wisdom for attacks made with said club or staff, then go Ranger 8/Cleric 12 or vice-versa, using your Abilitty Score Improvements to round up first Wisdom and then Constitution. This take on America will have much better offense AND defense but it strays so much from her as a character (no plane shift, no punching with your hands, less actual Strength and more trickery) it didn’t feel right. Sometimes you need to sacrifice power to stay loyal to the character. Then again, this build would sure be true to a certain aspect of America we know and love.

2, 11, 12 and 13 (for any fandom that comes to your mind when reading the question) c:
(For this)
2. what fandoms were apart of that you aren’t any longer? I’d hesitate to say I’m no longer a part of any fandoms, but there are fandoms I’m rarely active in. Mainly thinking of stuff that hasn’t had new content in ages like Bionicle, Primeval or the Walking With series.
11. do you mind sex scenes or do you skip over them? All depends on the mood, I guess. If it’s just me I can manage, especially since depicted sex scenes don’t really become pornographic unless it’s like fanfic or something. If someone else is around, more specifically someone I don’t feel open about “adult” things around them... I’m probably gonna be more shy and skip.
12. if you could change one ending to a book/show/game/etc, what would you change about it? Hmm, this is pretty interesting to think about. Off the top of my head, I can’t really think of anything that’s big enough to make me really want to change something? I’m usually the type where even if I don’t like something, I can move on.
That being said... not crazy about the way Danganronpa 3 ended, but to say what I’d change I’d have to rework so much to the point it would take too much to think about for a simple ask, lol. Like, would it even be the same characters we focus on in the end? I definitely would like more thematic introspection though lol.
Thinking back, Primeval ended pretty dumb. At the very least get rid of the stupid tease of future(?) Matt at the end, and the way Helen and New Dawn worked together never really made sense to me.
I was also just reminded of Voltron, and even as a casual, fairly positive viewer... that final season sucked. All the theories about executive meddling make too much sense. Again though... there’s too much to start with, lol. At least don’t kill off Allura and Lotor like that???
Okay, I think I’ve found one thing I might feel strong enough about. It’s less an ending proper and more as it was called, an “emotional finale”, but... Act Your Age from Phineas and Ferb. That episode is still stupid as hell, sorry. For what I’d change, I think there’s a few routes. First is... not make it the ending. You can have all this questionable, messy shit... but use it to tell another story and explore deeper into these characters and why they ended up like this. If AYA was just a small part of a bigger story... maybe it could be salvagable (minus the bad sexist jokes of course :v)?
Another option is make a flash forward but with a more general premise. Have it be more optimistic too, just a nice look at the future instead of bringing it down with “adult” cynicism. Phineas and Isabella can just be a thing, we don’t need them being together to be a big event. Plus, more room to focus on the other characters.
My third pitch is... the show was ending anyway, don’t even bother with a flash forward, if you want the Phineas and Isabella storyline to have a big resolution, do it in the present, where it feels more important. I stand by what I said in that if there was no mind wipe at the end, Night of the Living Pharmacists would’ve been a perfect way to change the status quo. After they’re all cured, suddenly Phineas and Isabella have to face each other after she confessed in their darkest hour. Then boom, you have a lead in to Last Day of Summer. I wouldn’t change LDOS to be about them (okay with LDOS, I WOULD change Doof being cheated out of victory so he just thinks he succeeds tho, that wasn’t necessary, the audience doesn’t care about technobabble in PnF :v), but whether it be an extra episode (like an AYA half hour but in the present), a small series of episodes, or just a subplot in LDOS, having them face each other and come to an understanding, whether they get together or not would’ve worked better for me. Plus, I’ve always been a fan of having PnF be alongside Candace and Doof and experiencing the rifts, not just because it would be deliciously cruel to see Phineas watch Isabella forget him right after she confessed her feelings, but also because I think Candace and her brothers could have a more direct confrontation and THAT storyline gets resolved. Make LDOS two specials for all I care, I was never into post crossover MML or OWCA Files, lol (no offense to fans of those of course, I’m just trying to be economic in this hypothetical). Thank goodness for Candace Against the Universe for giving some closure on that front though, albeit in a way that didn’t challenge the status quo. I guess that’s sorta my point though - they broke the status quo with Doof leaving evil, so if they wanted they could do even more things.
13. do you mind sequels that are completely different with a new plot and new characters or do you prefer they stay with the same story and characters? All depends on the situation! Sometimes having characters and the same story return works, sometimes having a clean slate does. I don’t really have a preference.
