Miguel O'Hara

- This guy... has some long ass toenails. Type of toenails that poke you at night in bed, and tear holes in his socks.

It's maybe somewhat related to the claw thing he's got going on? Has a lot stronger and faster-growing nails than the average person... but the real problem here is that he's TERRIBLE about clipping them. Claims it doesn't bother him even remotely and that you're the one overreacting when you ask him to... but hardly anything gets through to him about it. You probably even offer to do it for him one day, thinking the offer of a foot massage would sway his thinking and that it'd actually work... but he fought you on that just as easy...!!!

...which is how you came to the conclusion that you have a man who'll even argue w/ you over toenails. Petty boy.

- Miguel is also tired 24/7. AND yeah, it's pretty hard to be un-sympathetic towards that, but he's tired in the... I'm-gonna-prioritize-this-one-last-email-over-saying-goodnight-to-you way. Which gets real irritating when you're asking him to help you out w/ anything, like cleaning up or answering a question or JUST HAVING A DAMN CONVERSATION W/ YOU and he's using "I'm tired" as an excuse when his response is shitty or distracted.

Like one of those stupid guys whose always squinting at their damn iPad when you ask what he wants for dinner... which is ironic given that he'll get snippy at you for not giving him your full, entire attention whenever he wants it. Type of man to start picking imaginary lint off your head when you're simply trying to finish up a text before engaging him so that you aren't distracted.

- Odd about Lyla. Not that he loves her or anything, but she'll like pop up to give him updates about whatever even if you're MID-MAKEOUT session and he won't change that setting. Pulling away from your lips all pouty and squinty only to glare at his watch for thirty seconds before trying to go right back into kissing you.

No. No sir.

(Lyla will also always say something to or-but-usually-and about you, which... Okay, she's an AI and doesn't Get It... but it's still weird because it feels like someone you don't know just walked into the room.)

- Picks his nose when he's too busy to find a tissue, and forgets to sanitize his hands after. Denies this when you tell him.. but you've witnessed this multiple times (he's weirdly kind of whiney for a dude and lazy for a workaholic LOL).

Hobie Brown

- Lovely boyfriend because he doesn't give a crap about your appearance or the idea of needing to "look nice" for a man... but also stupid, nuisance boyfriend because this means he doesn't give one hoot if you try to get all gussied up for him. Nags you about wasting time getting ready because he doesn't need you to do all that instead of just saying "THANK YOU, YOU LOOK NICE." Even probably complains about you feeding into gender stereotypes or w/e when you do something like shave your legs or pluck your eyebrows😭

You try to talk to him about this, ask if he even cares that you tried to look nice, and he skirts around admitting it because he has an argument for everything. "'oughta know I think you're pretty either way"-ass when you just spent an hour trying to look all good for him.

- Tries to share the most obscure music with you... which is like, sweet in concept, but weird when it actually happens since it's never like a generic love song but an eleven minute underground jam session.

Which isn't to say he has bad taste in music, usually it's fine if not fantastic... but you try to tell him you don't want to listen to some dude's first draft of himself banging on a drum set for a full album and he's like: "tsk."

HOBIE. TSK??? FUCKING TSK????????? WHAT ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE LIKE????????

(He'll also use his to get out of listening to your music. Claiming his "inconsistency" is why he liked your playlist yesterday but not today. Stop!!!)

- And you know I gotta say it, he's a punk, after all: absolutely refuses to clean his favorite leather jacket, and it smells RANK. He's genuinely sentimental about it, though... and if you even try to bring up cleaning it somehow (even if very gently), he's acting like you betrayed him. Goes through the five stages of grief over you asking him not to wear it on one of your dates, and teases you by TALKING to it:

"Mumma didn't mean that, jackie. She just doesn't understand our lifestyle, does she?" while giving you a (lighthearted) stink eye.

The thought has him choking on his breath every single time- does he? Does he not? Narumi cannot help but admit to himself in the darkest deepest moments at four in the morning, pitch black comforting darkness of his room that he imagines how you will bite into his lip with such fervor while kissing and suck in the thick liquid reddening his lips—

A firm hand suddenly lands in his shoulder, giving him a light squeeze and he is brought back to earth. Turning, he sees Tachibana with his usual glee and aloof air, talking mostly to himself. Silently cursing his mind off, Narumi does his best to push the thoughts of you plaguing his mind away and get to whatever it is Tachibana showed up to remind him off, groaning about the possible upcoming workload…

as usual when it comes to me writing m/ondstadt, a bunch of characters who weren't intended to be here ended up showing up anyways-

When Aether entered the Dawn Winery, per the request of Diluc's message (which had been urgently sent via bird), the first thing he saw was Kaeya standing in the foyer.

"...Shouldn't you be upstairs helping out?" Aether asked. Kaeya avoided his eyes for a moment, then fixed him with an award winning smile that Aether was not the least bit fooled by.

"I got kicked out. ...For reasons." Kaeya said- and it was at this point that Aether belatedly noticed the layer of frost slowly melting off of the cavalry captain's hands.

"For reasons, huh?" Aether deadpanned, reaching into his pocket dimension and rummaging around for a moment. Eventually he seemed to find what he was looking for, as he pulled out a small bag. "Well- I guess you can do this then- I got some leaves from the Windrise tree and some other... tea stuff. At the very least adding the Windrise leaves to it should help Venti a little. ...I think."

"Ah, reduced to the job of boiling water." Kaeya took the offered bag and started walking in the direction of the kitchen.

"Don't burn it!" Aether called after him.

"Is it even possible to burn water?"

"I'm sure there are ways." A vivid memory of the last time the Raiden Shogun had tried cooking sprung to mind. Aether shook the thought out of his head, and turned and headed upstairs to the bedrooms. As soon as he got up there, he could make out the sound of voices coming from the guest room.

"Bard, get back in that bed right now or so help me-"

"I didn't take you as the type to infringe on other's freedoms, Master Diluc-"

"Alright, that's it-"

Aether opened the door at just the right time to witness Diluc grab Venti by the waist and lift him up and away from the window the anemo archon had clearly been trying to get to. Venti barely even struggled, although he did kick his legs a little bit, clearly trying half-heartedly to hit Diluc and not at all succeeding.

A quick glance to the side revealed that Jean was also in the room, her hand against her forehead in barely restrained frustration.

"Diluc, please be gentle with him." She said, quietly acknowledging the Traveler's presence with a small nod. Diluc didn't verbally respond to her, but Aether could've sworn he saw him roll his eyes.

Venti was practically pouting as he was placed back down onto the bed, crossing his arms and glaring at Diluc, which the other pointedly ignored. Aether finally got a chance to take in Venti's appearance- his hair was all mussed up, and one of his braids was coming undone. The ends of his hair were glowing with the teal of anemo, and that, combined with the flush on his face, was all the information Aether needed to know that Venti was most likely running a fever.

It was only once Aether was standing directly beside the bed that Venti finally took notice of him.

"Oh, hey Traveler!" Venti sniffled a little, rubbing his nose against his sleeve. "Would you mind telling these two that I am perfectly fine enough to make a lil trip to Old Mondstadt?"

"Ha, nice try." Aether said, sitting down on the edge of the bed beside Venti. "Diluc specifically called me in as reinforcement."

"Oh c'mon, I'm clearly fi-ihh...hIH-" The teal glow in Venti's hair flared brighter as his eyes slipped shut. Jean and Diluc hurriedly stepped back away from the bed-

Aether didn't quite get the memo in time.

"Hh'NGkT-chiew!!" Venti doubled over with a stifled sneeze, his wings appearing and unfolding- smacking Aether in the face and knocking him off the bed. The Traveler remained on the floor for a moment, stunned. After a second, he pushed himself up, catching the moment Venti's wings drooped down with exhaustion- and a bit of guilt.

"...Sorry, Traveler." He muttered, retracting his wings with a visible grimace, his body shuddering. Aether frowned, re-taking his position of sitting on the bed- albeit in a spot he was less likely to get smacked by a wing.

"It's fine." Aether said, "Wouldn't it be easier if you just left your wings out, though?"

"Uhh..." Venti rubbed at his nose again, tilting his head to the side a little and avoiding eye contact. Off to the side, Jean and Diluc let out near identical sighs.

"We've been trying to tell him that for the past two hours." Jean said, "He hasn't listened."

Venti fully looked away from them, muttering something about the possibilities of maids walking in at any time. Diluc opened his mouth, clearly about to say something about how he'd sent all the Dawn Winery staff home for the day-

There was a loud crash from the kitchen, startling everyone, followed by a curse that was surprisingly loud enough to reach up to the second floor.

"...I gave Kaeya the job of making tea." Aether said, "How could you possibly mess up at making tea?"

Diluc glanced upwards as though he was praying for a miracle- though he likely wasn't actually praying, considering his god was sitting sick directly in front of him. He turned and marched out of the room, Jean hurriedly moving to follow him- briefly glancing back and silently asking with her expression if Aether could handle Venti on his own. The Traveler gave her a nod in return, and she quickly followed Diluc down the stairs.

Venti stared at Aether.

Aether stared at Venti.

Slowly, as though Aether wasn't staring directly at him, Venti got off of the bed, and on somewhat shaky legs, started making his way towards the window.

Aether patiently waited until Venti was right in front of the window before he launched off of the bed, quickly grabbing onto Venti's shoulders, pulling him back away from the window.

"Aw, c'mon!" Venti whined as Aether started gently pushing him back towards the bed. "Just a tiny trip to Ol-hH-.... Old MondstahH-"

Venti's hands started moving up to his face-

Aether spun Venti around so that he was facing him, grabbing hold of one of Venti's wrist with one hand, and placing his other hand against the back of Venti's head, gently bringing Venti closer to him. Venti squirmed, shaking his head and trying to choke back hitching breaths.

"Hey, it's okay." Aether said, "Trust me."

Even if Venti wanted to protest to that, he didn't really get much choice in the matter.

"Hihh-hH'ISsH-iew!! Hh...hEH'EtSHchiew!!" Venti had no choice but to sneeze into Aether's shoulder, his wings unfurling, one of them smacking into the wall of the room. Aether winced a little at that, figuring it was definitely bruised at least. Venti's wings twitched, and then he was surging forwards with three more sneezes. "Heh- hEH'Tt-shiew! Hh'EtSHiew!! Hh- hihH- hH'ITsHhiew!!"

Aether barely held back a shiver at the sensation of anemo energy that now filled his veins, smirking a little as Venti pulled back, clear surprise on his face.

"...Um." Venti blinked slowly, seemingly processing, and Aether used the opportunity to guide him back to the bed, carefully maneuvering around Venti's wings.

"There we go." Aether said once Venti was sitting down, "You don't have to go to Old Mondstadt anymore, right?"

"....I... guess not?" Venti said, just the slightest bit dazed. A thought seemed to cross his mind, clearing some of the haze from his eyes. "Ah- but, you'll get sick if I keep-"

"Oh, please." Aether scoffed, "I don't get sick."

Venti stared at him with something in between disbelief and being completely and utterly unimpressed.

"No, seriously, I've never been sick in my life." Aether continued, "Never."

Venti opened his mouth, ready to question him-

Another crash, much louder than before, rang out from the kitchen, followed by three different panicked shouts, along with what Aether was certain was the sound of Diluc summoning his claymore. Aether threw his hands up in frustration.

"It is not that hard to make tea! They've literally all done it before!" He said, making his way to the door. He paused in the doorframe, turned around, and pointed at Venti.

"Stay there. I'll be back in a second." He said, and then vanished down the hall. Venti stared unblinkingly at the door for a solid minute, and then sighed, laying down on his side, his wing folding overtop of him like a blanket. If he was going to have to stay here, he might as well get comfortable...

He must've fallen asleep at some point, cause when he next opened his eyes, there was a cup of tea on the nightstand beside him, and Aether was sitting there, looking slightly singed.

"...The art of making tea is more complicated than you'd think." He said, and Venti made a mental note to himself to later ask what in Teyvat had happened in that kitchen.

I live and thrive from the Dukedom angst (I love pain), and I cannot stop thinking about it.

Reader obv is already self harming by starving herself, but now that the guys are more aware of it, I can imagine them forcing her to eat more. Maybe it just starts as a few bites extra, but regardless they are depriving her of her coping mechanism. They see her start to gain a little weight back, and they feel less guilty and they feel like they are slowly helping-

But they’re not.

Reader turns to another form of self harming, because she wants to feel a semblance of control. She hides this better than the starving, knowing that the guys are viewing her weight in tandem with her mental and physical health, rather than addressing her health directly.

I could imagine the pain both parties would feel once the self harm was outed; reader feeling like she’s lost all control and the resulting shame, and the guys each blaming themselves for being blind to the issue and them having to grapple with just how poorly her mental health actually is...

But yeah that’s where my mind went 🙂

Cut to Ares showing Apollo how to properly grip a sword’s grip, and it was those lessons that helped Apollo kill Tityos ^-^

I can't believe you still remember that headcanon, and I totally agree with yours! Ares was a terrible brother for persecuting the twins when Leto was still pregnant with them, but deep down he still feel bad for them and tried to make it up during the Tityos and the Aloadae incidents.

I have another addition about Ares' repentance: when Apollo and Ares were boxing in the first Olympic, they were almost equally matched. But then Ares started to see the pain in Apollo's stubbornness, the struggle of a bastard trying to make his father proud and pay back for all of his mother's suffering, including Ares' part. So toward the end, Ares kinda start letting Apollo hit him more, like the more pain he gets, the more "relief" he felt. But at the same time, his pride didn't let him give up so easily.

Apollo beat Ares fair and square in the end, and Ares was still humiliated for his defeat. But a part of him still quietly said, "Good job, kid."

anon this has been sitting in my inbox since july i fear BUT…i have some food for thought possibly…

i think dating sam would be difficult as fuck after all of that because of how he can’t really feel anything (thank you cate…i still love you unfortunately). like he would have the inkling of a thought about how he should feel something like love or adoration or anything of that sort and that he definitely did feel those things at some point. but he’s just in a predicament where he physically cannot bring those feelings back because his brain really just won’t let him (i.e cate’s whole power lol).

there’s definitely that obligation there though to just keep it going for the sake of it, kind of like a keep it together for the kids scenario. i, also, would think that (if we’re going the route where you’re kinda separate from the marie, andre, emma, and jordan group somehow) vought would spin a whole fake love story between the two of you along the lines of him having saved you during the godolkin mess and having a love at first sight moment. so at the root of it, it’s just a big, more messed up PR relationship for the two of you: one of which you didn’t necessarily agree to and honestly neither did sam so it’s a bit of a lose-lose.

if we’re going the other route where you are with the main group, marie, jordan, etc, i can for sure imagine that you’re just like torn apart: literally pitted against your boyfriend and really the whole vought consuming world. theres also that false hope of maybe everything will be okay and sam will go back to his senses and things will be fine again but there’s still that sneaking truth always right behind you that knows that’s not the case.

In my head, I like to think Giulio is kind of a wide dude, made even more thick in the waist due all his metal prosthetics.

He gets home to you trying to fill the washer with dirty clothes, or empty the dish rack and scrub out the bottom of a pan, or even just tidy your room... and it's not like you're bad at those tasks, you're completely normal at them, and still, Giulio is nudging you aside so he can take the basket, or pot, or blanket from out of your arms and do the task himself.

everyone knows louis for the menace he is except grandma molly who treats him like hes the sun that the earth circles around (yes grandma molly likes bill’s kids the most, what of it?)

louis is surprisingly very sweet to old people. he does his due diligence and visits them the most, brings new presents to arthur and helps molly with chores and lets them fuss over him.

Okay I am a minor but I’m over the age of like 13 and I listen to malevolent. Ik it’s technically an adult podcast but the only thing adult is the violence, language, and like dark topics. I can see why parents would be upset if they found their kid listening to it but malevolent isn’t that bad. And also I think podcast is the safest content to interact with an older piece of media.

Idk bro I'm not your parent my age still ends in 'teen' idc if you listen to a rated R podcast (or what would be rated R). And, like. I've never seen anyone argue that only adults should listen to malevolent?

I am not good at picking just one option so I will provide all my options!

During DP I was a big advocate for him getting Leafeon (Glaceon complement) or Gallade (Prince vibe, additional tie to Wally for having a Ralts-line team member). Then Zoey showed up with BOTH of those so I'd like to think my dreams manifested it lol

Nitpick wise it bothers me how weak to ice his team is...yes I know the anime offers more leeway but anyone who has tried to use Drew's team in-game knows the hell ice and rock types bring. A new fire type would be cool for him, maybe Chandelure (bc it's one of my faves and it's Fancy) or maybe a Growlithe/Arcanine as a call back to his Arcanine pursuit before (what if he encountered one of the babies again aw 🥺)

Or of course the purely self-indulgent choice..........WOOPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to see him working with a goofy little guy who absolutely does not share the same laser-focus and maturity that the rest of his team does. Wooper would humble him. And Wooper is soooooooo cute.
