However, due to Gacha BS I still somehow didn't get about half the messages despite ordering 65 whole cards??? That's half the value of the order?? There should be 28 total, and even accounting for unspoken rarity bs (wtf rejet??) that I did know about when deciding how to order this is just weird... Like, I'm still missing one D rarity card despite FORTY out of all the cards being Ds. WTF???

Anyway, on to the translations!

Saw a picture of #1-C, and the message/translation is: 「これ以上吸われたら 困っちゃうよ……！」 "If you drink anymore, I'll be in real trouble...!" (I like to think she says this to mess with Amaya sometimes because she would JUMP in the cutest way (in Yui's opinion lol)😂)

#2-C: "...Are you worrying about me?" (Always😭😭 But somehow, she does always make me feel like no matter what, everything will be okay. (See 1-B))

The statement "Mizuki isn't explicitly confirmed to be trans" is true, and it is very okay for people to say that, I think. Because it is true. While the very unsubtle messaging obviously points to that conclusion, colopale has yet to say the word "transgender". For about five minutes post-mizu5, this statement was not an aggravating one, because everyone who said it was making a great point, which boils down to: This was not a fantastic move on colopale's part, please for the love of god stop using the """mystery""" of her identity to stay as marketable as possible, it's really not a good look. Writing 95% of a trans story and then being wishy-washy about sledgehammering the reader in the face with the final 5% that is the conclusion the writing has been hinting at for the past 4 years is A Choice, Alright.

NOW, however, half the time I see people mention that there hasn't been explicit confirmation, it makes me So Mad. Because all of the new people who have picked up that phrase seem to be doing so from a place of bias. The sentiment carried by the phrase lately doesn't feel quite as much like "colopale is cowardly for this", and is more often holding one of these two things:

"Subtext isn't valuable", which hurts me deep in my soul as someone who thinks using your brain is probably a little important to your continued survival and growth as a person. the problem with manjuu imho is that they fall into one main faction for a while and just run with it, which can lead to perceived biases when in reality they probably dont have biases. idk i also think assuming they're biased towards any faction isn't a very healthy mindset but it also appears they're a bit lazy and pick a faction and run with it for like a year or so. two HMS URs almost back to back for example after ~2 years of no events (except a minor one i think), and when they start breaking that mold and try new things people whine and seethe and shit themselves.

just look at the drama with Yorkie II and BisZwei, which is why im oh so tired of the fandom so i hope they give the IB Treatment™️ to the Iris/Vichya, and that next year we get Sun Yat-sen as the first Dragon Empery UR PR, and that to cure Amagi of her illness the Sakura give her the II/Zwei treatment and we get UR CV Amagi who is the Goddess of Fluffy Tails

Oomf you are so fucking real for this.

Yes, Touhou does have a lot of room for interpretation and fans making silly things is all well and good.

The issue is that LW markets itself to such a huge audience, and everything they do is to essentially leech money off its players. It’s just so disrespectful imo.

So many new fans get into Touhou with LW, and they have HUGE misconceptions about the series that it kind of sucks!! Especially with how much LW presents itself as “official”, so a lot of people think it’s canonical

It’s so different from a small fan doujin because. That’s just a fan making something small and fun to appreciate the series, even if it’s OOC, and if you don’t like it, you can just ignore it (unless it gets the community in a chokehold like KKHTA, but that’s rare)

Plus, when buying and consuming doujins, you are supporting small artists who are making content simply out of love for Touhou

LW is just a soulless cash grab that is just trying to use the skin of Touhou to amass money. It is in no way on the same level as doujin.

This is the biggest reason why fans dislike LW so much. It’s marketed to such a broad audience and presented as “official”, when it’s hardly faithful to the canon. It’s just here for money and leeching off of its players. It doesn’t care at all for the original series nor the original characters, and with how huge it is, it deeply impacts a lot of people’s impressions on the Touhou series. THAT is why people dislike it.

It frustrates me at times when people are like, “well aren’t you being too harsh?”

Or placing LW on the same level as doujin.

It isn’t like that at all, and I have reasons to be peeved about LW.

So a while ago i posted this costume Kutaka has in LostWord, asking if anyone knew why the character who's stated goal is literally to raise the status of chickens so they arent just seen as cheap food, is delivering fried chicken

Never really got a concrete answer other than it maybe being vegan chicken or something But now the event this costume is from is doing a rerun in game, so i played some of it to hopefully learn why (im maybe a bit too invested in figuring out why the gacha game gave a character an outfit that contradicts their character)

But so far, there's literally no mention or acknowledgement of it lol. Kutaka and the other characters in the event (Nitori and Takane) just get these delivery outfits for their food delivery service, and noone says anything about it I dont know if its brought up later, but i dont really feel motivated to do the entire story right now So i guess it was just like, oh we need a kutaka food delivery costume, give her fried chicken cause chicken and lol Kutaka fried chicken kfc or something? Maybe im thinking too hard about it

Makes me just a little bit sad that they did this though. Kutaka is an interesting character who i think gets reduced to just "funny cute chicken" a lot, and the biggest fangame giving her an outfit like this just feels. eugh Especially looking at people's reactions to the costume, mostly just joking "oh chickens are cannibalistic" "oh its dark humor lol" makes me sad. Kutaka deserves better than this guys

Are you serious? This is something I did not want to see. It's Magia Record all over again! This is where I'm so glad that I bought the obey me artbooks because stuff like this happens all the time. One of the reasons why I don't pay a dime anymore to gacha games. If players don't pay or play enough, the game shuts down. Why? Because no one is happy on how the game is set up. If it's difficult to get a certain character, levels are hard to beat, and the price is high; there's no way in hell anyone is support the game because it's unreasonable. I mean, I'm still shock about this one.. ⬎

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy and love the game. The characters, designs, and story is amazing! Even the events are fun to play!

BUT!

The game play is horrible because the grinding you have to do (leveling up cards and so forth). The company does not make it easy for you to beat the levels on your own because they're trying to make players heavily rely on their paid items.

I'm still going to play Obey Me Nightbringer to finish the story but once I'm done; I'm deleting the game. I'm not even going to bother downloading their other games because it seems that this company has a bad habit of discounting games when things don't go as planned.

Sorry for the rant. I'm just so mad. I know I should be thankful but I can't because of how greedy companies are becoming now. You want us to support you but you keep making these mistakes and bad decisions so why in the world would I pay when it's not fair.

Ah! You said you like Kurumi too?

I confess one thing, I started to like Kurumi Wendy when I started exploring her in a roleplaying on Discord that I was invited to. Let's talk about some spoilers here. This will probably be a rant about the character, sorry for the long text.

I've seen a lot of criticism about her and her writing, and I can somewhat agree, she's an informant, she seems to have a lot of potential to be a detective or an investigative journalist, It's just my opinion, but I don't really like it being reduced to ""Love interest" of the protagonist, Yuma's girlfriend.

I know it's just meant to be funny, to be a joke, but, I don't know, it seems a bit forced. I think Kurumi's ship with Yuma, Kokowendy, can be okay? It can be something innocent and cute, like puppy love, Her being a schoolgirl displeases me.

Probably, if she hadn't died for her clone, she would be an adult, 20 years old, right? Her homunculus clone won't be stuck at the same age forever, right? I imagine she could still be an adult, in the game, isn't she like a senior? Am I wrong? The girls at school having a respect for her and stuff, wouldn't she be finishing high school? And it's normal that games like this put 16 and 17 year old girls in high school (17 years old seems to be more popular)

I think she would be interesting and have potential.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I like her, I started to like her and I did some drawings, edit and gacha version of her.

I've been thinking about making her with different clothes, her hair down must be pretty, and I actually like her uniform in the game, the red and black is an interesting combination. Sorry, the description is really bad.

I didn't like the first outfit very much, the second one is supposedly an outfit she would wear, she's always in uniform in the game, I know it's supposed to be part of her identity, buuut, Make her with another one, She can be stylish.

Her being 18 years old is supposed to be her post-game version, let's assume the game takes place at the beginning of the year or towards the middle of the year, and the epilogue could be close to her birthday month, She's always walking around alone, and I could imagine her sleeping at the detective agency at will? Not to mention her traveling alone too.

Also, seeing her being 18, or going to be 18, is because of leaving her ship with Yuma, less bad for me. (I have problems with age differences)

I heard some sad news about her on reddit, Apparently, the game's designer, Kazutaka Kodaka, said he wouldn't be interested in making a female protagonist in future games? Like, I don't know if this is real, if he said this on some social network or in an interview, but if it is true, it's a shame, Why couldn't Kurumi be like Komaru Naegi from Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls? Even their names look alike!

Remember games where you control high school student protagonists? Not Danganronpa. I thought of Corpse Party, in this game, you control high school students between 16-17 years old, although there are NPCs younger than that, and even 18 years old.

I'm sure Kurumi could be like Ayumi Shinozaki, but could she be like Sara Chidouin from Your Turn to Die? Or even Kaede Akamatsu from Danganronpa v3: Killing Harmony or Chiaki Nanami form Danganronpa 3 anime? Or even like Komaru Naegi, from the reviews that say Kurumi is "too normal" compared to the rest of the cast.

Whatever it is, I bet she's a sweet, gentle girl who wants to protect the few friends she has, She probably didn't even have many friends at school and lost one, and I don't know if the game really works much with this thing of the characters being lonely in many ways, I like to think of her as someone who is determined and wants to show her potential and not be a damsel in distress. I like the dynamic of a female character saving a male character.

She can be a bit of a sad character inside because of everything that happened to her in the past and in chapter 2, Working with her through her difficulties as a defective homunculus should be explored seriously, I don't mind a story from her point of view, She deserves character development, growth, and to learn that detectives is not heroes.

Well, that's my view of her, she's a cute and cool character, but she needs to improve, there's nothing like us fans having to do that, right? Especially if she's not the protagonist in a sequel. (If have another game), I hope you don't mind my view, I don't hate her or her ship with Yuma.

Ima rant about the Minecraft movie cuz I’m bored

First off, I never liked the idea in the first place. I saw it was going to happen and knew immediately it wouldn’t be great. You can’t please the whole fandom. Everyone wants different things, especially with a “story less” game. (MC story mode Ik and the whole ender dragon I know but whatever besides the point)

Then the trailer comes out.

I laughed through it. And not in “haha funny joke” no in “holy shit this is bad” the fucking borderlands trailer was better then this. That movie flopped so hard too.

First off, why is it live action? Animate it.

And if you INSIST on doing live action, at least fucking try. Worst green screen ever. Looked like a green screen kid on YouTube that filmed in his room wiht his brightness up at 11 pm.

Secondly, the outfits are sooo bad. I know Minecraft skins are supposed to be like a free representation or something but WHAT THE FUCK? That just looked horrible. I don’t even have a comparison. Besides didn’t they do the whole “wake up in a video game”? Who the hell wears that in real life, BE HONEST. I’m not one for outfit shaming or anything but seriously.

Adding to that, you ddint even make Steve recognizable. You had to make him SAY HES STEVE. I like Jack Black and all, but wrong choice.

Third. The plot.

They really went for the whole “wake up in a video game” trope. It’s literally jumangi. Again. I don’t even have to say more. There’s no coherent plot at all anyway! What’s the goal! What’s happening that makes this difficult?? WHATS THE HOOK? I could write a better Gacha story than that.

Fourth. The hell was that scenery. Didn’t look like Minecraft. At least try, okay?

And we aren’t discussing the sheep. That was.. bad.

Overall it just looked so unprofessional, like some teens all decided to make a Minecraft movie but worse than that.

And the obligatory apology to Minecraft story mode… I’m sorry for calling you dry and unpredictable, and your better then this. still don’t like the game tho-

Hello, I am sorry not sorry in advance but I just need to rant like a madman about Canto 6 and Heathcliff because OH MY GOD.

so, I forget if this was mentioned by anyone else but a major part of Limbus Company is Mirror Technology. Basically Multiverse Tech, allowing multiple versions of characters called Identities across multiple potential universe (It's how the Gacha is explained, it's a major part of the over-arching plot, you git the jist.) Well what do we see for the first time ever in Canto 6 Part 2?

THAT'S RIGHT, WE GET FUCKING BOOK HEATH!!!!

LOOK AT HIM! LOOK AT HOW FUCKING HAUNTED HE IS! Turns out he's travailing the multiverse to kill every Heathcliff because he considers himself Cathy's Murder and that she is destined to be miserable because of Heathcliff! Every like third line of his is a quote from the books it's great!

The best Part is that this man's a Boss fight in this part too! And He's really Hard! You really gotta manage his sanity well since if he wins too many clashes things can go bad really quickly, especially cause he will always full target Heath and get even stronger if he manages to get any hits in. Made even worse by the fact that if Heathcliff dies it's an instant loss so you really play this fight on a knife's edge.

And look how hard my boy is taking it! Throughout the entire fight Heathcliff is completely silent. no combat dialogue, no voice lines, no nothing. Even E.G.O's, this game's equivalent to limit breaks, which usually come with a unique voiceline, are completely silent for this fight. What's more, and I'm so upset I can't do this justice with images so you'll have to watch this after but each character has their own special story E.G.O with Heathcliffs being "BodySack". so at the end of the fight Heathcliff just starts wailing on Book!Heath over and over again and again to the point of breaking the UI while vowing to just tear down everything and everyone that shoved him down and got in between him and Cathy.

and it all culminates with a scene of Heath Distorting through his perspective. Now Dustortion is the other side of E.G.O's coin. they're the two options you're given when your entire world and psyche collapses, you can either move forward and gain an E.G.O or give into your despair and selfish desires and become a Distortion. For reference Hindly becomes a Distortion in this same part (which I will talk about later!). The whole process also has a bunch of lore connections to PM's other games but unfortunately this ask is already way to long and I won't be getting into those but yeah, as a long-term PM fan I have chills.

And this is all still just Part 2! we still have a whole other part to go!
