But the writers better have been careful moving foreward bcuz I can def see a world where Angel's arc goes very wrong very fast-

Also while we're criticizing: wasn't a fan of the pacing. Especially in episode two. Like I can look past it, but the way they breeze past some plot points kinda bugged me

Like the way I went from "FUCK YOU HEESEUNG!" to "NO WAIT TAKE HIM BACK" to "YES GO HEESEUNG GO!!" to "HEESEUNG YOU DICKHEADDD" to "Oh god you poor thing" to "Omg yay! theyre together 🥰" is absolutely amazing!! As this was a series, every time I saw a notification for the next part of this fic showed up I immeeeediately read it! Caused me to be late for work a couple of times but it was worth it 👍👍👍👍. okay first of all i'm going nutso butso about a sky of honey it's sooooooo good. but this is mainly not about that--i just want to say that i really appreciate your author's note on the most recent chapter, specifically w/r/t gender essentialism. i think it's undeniable that the abo genre is inexplicably tied to gender essentialism; it is at times and turns and eroticization of gender essentialism or its unwitting celebration; it is at the very least a genre that is somewhat dependent on the concept. that doesn't make it evil or mean its fans subscribe to gender essentialism (saying that would make me a big fuckin hypocrite) but i do think it's important that we as fans of the genre take time occasionally to touch that fact and acknowledge it. good on you dude. also l'shana tova umetukah!

Ahh thank you for asking this! Yes, it always makes me nervous writing a/b/o because, as you said, the genre itself relies so heavily on themes of gender or dynamic essentialism.

But it’s a fun little story, where maybe we get to enjoy Bruce slowly sinking into his instincts. It doesn’t mean we think people are slaves to their gender in real life, or that I the author am anti-trans or gender essentialist in my own views.

I added that note just to be safe, since I personally do not subscribe to gender essentialism, I have trans family members, and would revolt if someone told me my instincts as a woman ruled my life.

It’s such a strange and tricky genre! Generally I don’t write in it, but this series is special to me.

Anyway basically you can read my many, many geraskier fics for the actual smut portion of this but have you seen the women that geralt is attracted to in canon. He wants to be told what to do you KNOW he wants to be told what to do and he wants to be really good for his partner. Geralt being called good boy is a major factor in my extreme enjoyment of several otherwise mediocre fics I read in 2020

People fucking love to write geraskier with geralt being this big brute who's in control and Jaskier is this wilting lily who does whatever he's told or at best is a bratty sub and I just like. No. Did we even watch the same show? (I only read the first book and didn't vibe with it and my computer can't run the games don't @ me anyway) like Jaskier is sooooooo fucking bossy, he just happened to have become best friends with a guy who's entire thing is to be solid and reliable and not get bossed around but that's like, his professional thing, his worksona if you will. I know deep in my heart that Geralt melts in the bedroom

We also must acknowledge that while the wardrobe department did an amazing job making Jaskier SEEM small in comparison to geralt actually joey batey is fuckin huge. I'm just.
