okay i don't usually run into this because my superpower is being ignored by everyone but

jesus chris what is with the huge apprehension I see toward fanart in all these artsy communities

okay sure i can certainly think of numerous times where my eyes have combusted at the glimpse of some sonic vore, or that one time when I was actually bisected for a few seconds at the sight of dr eggman in a.. actually nevermind

point is, there's lots of good fanart, too, like this:

but a lot of the time I see art getting 'critiqued' for the sole reason that it's fanart.

i mean what the heck just because I did not draw ORIGINAL CHARCTER DO NOT STEAL i am suddenly a bad artist???

see honestly my problem with artistic communities is that it operates on a system of extremes.

with fanart, you have people posting pictures of rouge #**@ing amy's @*#(@*dingus@**#(@wharf@(#(@(@*#hole, and on the other end, you have people mercilessly flaming some guy who drew Mario.

and that's NO GOOD

oh also not to mention the fact that people seem to not understand what constructive critique is

bad critique: "This art is terrible because you are an ostrich and I have a kidney infection."

good critique: "This art is terrible because it is literally two purple lines and an image of ronald mcdonald from wikipedia. i suggest using the burger king instead."

okay that is sort of a bad example but that is the general idea!

to tell the truth, i am a pretty terrible artist! I spend a lot of time drawing terrible, terrible softcore furry porn with many horrifying things that draws mere mortals into the cavernous maw-depths of the dark lord loosipurr or something.

but at the end of the day, i can rest easy knowing that I do not have a kidney infection.

oh um also be nice on the internet, constructive critique is good, don't do drugs, and steak is delicious

When I was watching #AOSTH it had alot of #looneytunes humor! But my favorite out of the scenes of AOSTH is the #Sonicsez segments, they taught us how to be safe and have fun at the same time! But anyway, It would be an honor if @lifeatwildbrain (formerly #DHXmedia) would give this cartoon a reboot and have its plots remastered! And we know that #longjohnbaldry is no longer with us....... Maybe We Could Get @mike.pollock to voice #drrobotnik. But here in the photo is #Sonicthehedgehog and #MilesTailsPrower in #DIC style.
