Day: 29 "False Alarm"

seekers I've done so far (I don't think I'll even make it to the ref sheets)

you know what, IM GONNA RAMBLE ABOUT HEADCANONS AGAIN. (out of these six, prolly. Also, these headcanons are NO WHERE near perfect)

Thundercracker is the more calm and collected out of these guys, which also makes him seem as the most boring (Skywarp teases him the most). Ever since the Decepticons came to Earth, he's been amazed by the scenery of a planet and how organic it is. This also brought him to be fond of its creatures, especially dogs. He has the ability to create massive and deafening sonic booms, and can manipulate electricity. They become more powerful if the weather is stormy.

Sunstorm is a very joyful guy. At least he tries to genuinely be. He likes poems, and singing! (Voice HC Your Anxiety Buddy 💀). Him and Novastorm have similar abilities. He's basically a walking nuclear bomb because of his radioactive nature, but of course he can control it. And like Rodimus and TF:ONE Optimus, he can use his blasters as flamethrowers. Otherwise, he just can light his whole frame on fire. Fun fact: In the coldest of days, the other seekers just huddle next to him to warm up in their free time. They don't do it to Nova since they know she doesn't like it.

Novastorm is more tired and angry than calm, but she does find a bright side to everything (no pun intended). She's confident, but can also get annoyed easily. Like Sunstorm, she can radiate a star's energy, but she mostly uses a burning, blinding light to mess with her opponent's optics, then she goes for the kill.

Skywarp is the prankster, procrastinator, and most cocky one. He's that one guy that calls others weak for being scared of a horror movie, then after it you find him huddling in the corner crying. He really likes his visor. He uses his teleportation all the time, he doesn't even walk. For some reason, it just annoys Starscream. The only flaw he has with his teleportation, he can only bring a maximum of fifteen bots at one time.

Acidstorm is a strange but useful mech, at least that's what Starscream thinks. The Rainmakers feel concerned and worried for him since he's been using up his energon for his abilities just to fight the Autobots, but he always says he's fine. Starscream finds his abilities the most effective since acid can y'know, ruin EVERYTHING, so sometimes he pushes him to use more of it, but he doesn't know it costs him Acid's own life source. The Rainmakers have arguments with Starscream to stop him from getting Acid to overuse his powers.

(I don't know too much about Ionstorm, so tell me if there's things I missed or need to fix because this is me basically making crap up!!) Ionstorm sometimes just goes with the flow, but speaks up when he needs to. He's more smiley and open when he's with his Rainmaker trine, but with others he just nods and listens to whoever's talking. His ability is similar to Thundercracker's, but he uses it more to power the Nemesis and other really generators or machines they have wherever they are. But when it comes to combat use, it's deadly. With just one shock, he can knock out fifteen to twenty bots.

I'm aware this is random timing but I've wanted to analyze this scene ever since I saw it and I was rewatching the Frontiers cutscenes so I decided "why not now" lol

This scene right here.

First of all, I'd like to say that Sonic & Tails's interactions throughout this entire game are IMMACULATE. And while I've seen some people complain that Tails "wasn't concerned enough" at the fact that Sonic was so clearly sick, this scene begs to differ.

It also shows, in both a good way and a sad way, how well Tails knows his big brother.

The entire time before, Sonic's been (for the mostpart) going around with a front. Pretending he's fine and brushing aside everyone's worries about him to turn the focus instead on THEM and THEIR problems, not his. ESPECIALLY with Tails. And this little fox knows probably better than anyone that Sonic doesn't like it when people fuss over him. So he's been playing along. Doing his part, doing the best he could in his digitized state, staying busy and all the jazz.

And sure, a couple times before this, Sonic was acting more tired than usual around Tails, but Tails didn't point it out. And he still doesn't point it out here, but his expression and body language say it all.

Now the corruption's getting worse, and Tails is just about done pretending along with Sonic that everything's fine. This time, unlike the last two times when Sonic had defeated a Titan when Super Sonic had flown down to find Amy and Knuckles, Tails is the one who runs to find him afterward.

He's clearly very worried, especially when Sonic barely acknowledges his presence and is really just doing his best not to keel over at this point. Tails reaches out in a vain attempt to touch him — whether to comfort him or help him up, I'm not sure — but still cannot touch him at all for obvious reasons. He pulls back and just watches him intently with this deeply sad, almost regretful look on his face. The End starts talking again and Sonic lifts his head a little to listen, while Tails just quietly shakes his head as he looks at him. As if he's saying, "Please don't do more, please just take a rest, I want you to be okay." 😢 Or it could just as easily be a sad sort of understanding, a resignation to what Sonic does, like, "I want you to rest, we both know you need it, but I know you, I know you'd sooner run yourself to death before you let us stay trapped any longer. And I can't do anything to stop you." 💔

And then, after having his fists clenched in obvious distress, Tails tries to reach out again, one more time. Almost unconsciously, as Sonic looks up to where the voice is coming from. Almost like he does want to stop him. He opens his mouth for a moment, too, like he wants to say something, but bites it back at the last second.

Then he pulls away again. His face is nothing but sadness and worry. Sonic tries making a quip at The End's new instructions, but he's still so clearly exhausted.

It's also interesting how Sonic won't look at Tails this whole scene, until Tails asks in that tiny, scared voice, "Sonic?" and he stands up, tells him to hang tight, reassure him they're almost done. Trying so hard to play the part of strong older brother even here, when Tails can so easily see how sick he is. 😔

Their dynamic will always be so fascinating and sweet to me. Even in these darker, more painful moments, the familial love they have for each other is beautiful. 💙💛💔

He stared up at the stars. Normally the sight of them would bring comfort, a feeling of freedom, and remembrance of simpler times, but now he all but glared at them with tired eyes and annoyance in mind.

It's been days since he managed to keep his eyes closed for the whole night, or even once he did, he woke up for seemingly no reason.

Something was keeping Tails from resting properly which only made him more irritated, which, made it hard to fall asleep in the first place because his head would just not shut up and rest and instead tried to figure out what was bugging him so much.

It's not that he wasn't tired, far from it. That was the biggest problem, in fact.

If he's tired on his travels he risks dropping his guard which could get him hurt or worse. When he's not thinking clearly talking to other people is a hassle that could lead to a pointless misunderstanding or two, or again, something worse. But the absolute worst of all, when he's tired he's easily irritated by everything which makes sleeping in the first place a problem.

Eventually, he managed to narrow things down to some form of anxiety, but that brought him around to not knowing the source of that anxiety which is pretty much net-zero information.

He had plenty of food and water, shelter was suitable, forecast was clear and he wasn't that far away from civilization if he really got himself into trouble. The Tornado was still in perfect shape and Miles Electric along with his communicator functioned as they should. Nothing was broken, nothing was missing nothing dreadful was waiting for him tomorrow, there was nothing to be anxious about!

Well. Something was missing, or rather someone, but that was dumb. The whole purpose of going off on his own was to stop thinking about Sonic at every turn he ran into an issue with himself. This whole trip around the world was to show he can handle himself, that he's big and skilled enough, that he doesn't need to rely on anyone. And yet here he was, scared to sleep because his big brother wasn't with him.

It made no sense either, before this Sonic disappeared for months at a time doing his own thing, and he didn't feel anxiety then, why was his head actively sabotaging him now.

Tails groaned with all the might of an annoyed, tired, (almost) adolescent fox and sat up.

He glared at the end of his sleeping bag as if it personally wronged him.

Not that he was already at his wit's end but there was always an abundance of irrational thoughts after multiple allnighters (this time he didn't go through them willingly though, and there was no annoyingly dotting hedgehog who would usher him out of his workspace and to his bed.)

Tails pressed the bridge of his nose, as if that would help push the whiny thoughts away (it didn't), and he forced out another groan.

The least he could do was to check if Sonic was alive. Even if he knew for certain he was, the fox mused, perhaps that would be enough to at least mute the storm brewing in his gut for the past two weeks.

Grabbing his communicator, Tails opened the contacts, no need to scroll, the one he was looking for sat at the very top and doubled an emergency dial.

A quick check of Sonic's profile showed all his vitals active and, strangely calm. So the hedgehog was most likely napping somewhere.

Best not to disturb him then.

But to no one's surprise, seeing some colorful numbers next to the hedgehog's name did nothing to help.

He kept his eyes on the repeating heart rate graphic and yawned.

They made an agreement he would be called only in the case of a pressing world-ending issue, so he should be glad and happy his brother was mostly radio silent from his end.

Of course there was the weekly "Hey you still breathing?" message from each of his friends that Tails either replied to with a dry "yes" or a thumbs-up emoji.

And while Tails was glad Sonic was respecting his wishes, not having someone by him physically to tell him his self-deprecating thoughts are being stupid, he falls for them.

Sonic was just fine without him, and he should be too.

He's not a helpless child anymore– he's eleven for crying out loud, he should know better!

He should be able to fall asleep without issue while knowing a sudden gust of wind and a cheer signaling the return of his brother with a dozen chili dogs and nightly presence over a campfire they shared will not come.

Tails shouldn't need that anymore.

He shouldn't be lingering over the blue-coded contact the way he does.

Of course, it could all be blamed on his sleepiness, which in turn was the result of his childishness, which...

This time it was the communicator that recieved a glare.

It wasn't its fault really, it was fault of no one but himself.

He could wait until complete exhaustion got him of course, because one way or another his body will eventually force him to sleep. But the last thing he needed was to collapse in a less than ideal situation and put his life in danger.

Tails gave a shaky exhale, already regretting his choice yet to come as he pressed the dial-up.

Sonic always picks up on the second ring so if he doesn't, he'll just hang up and say it was an accident–

"Heya buddy! Everything all right?"

Nevermind then.

Tails cursed his weakened state of mind that caused him to falter this much, but there was nothing to be done about it now.

"H-hey." The fox croaked, way more strained than he wished to sound. The shift in Sonic's attitude was felt even despite the most likely continental gap between them.

"Yeah, I'm just..." he's just what? Sorry for being a failure and annoying Sonic after telling everyone to leave him be? Angry at himself for failing the only promise of being big enough to take care of himself? Exasperated over the fact his head just won't shut up "I'm sorry, I probably woke you up, I shouldn't have called-"

"No, I've been wide awake and doing nothing don't hang up!"

Sonic urged, worry spiking his tone in a way only Tails could discern. But the openness to just talking wouldn't be lost on anyone that has ever had a conversation.

"Where you at now big guy?"

Just off the communicator's mike he caught a strangely familiar, rhythmic tap of fingers against wood as they sat in silence because the little worm of possibility that Sonic was missing just a bit didn't allow him to talk.

Overplayed on top of that, was him finally recognizing the the sound Tails perked up.

"Are you, playing the guitar?"

Sonic gave a weak chuckle and equally quiet "Yeah." as if he was shy about getting caught over something so benign.

Tails opted to ignore the previous question since he didn't know properly either and focused on the guitar instead.

It's been, quite a while since Tails heard his brother play anything on it. After he received a stable roof over his head and their lives became far more complicated, there was less time and need for it at the end of the day.

Hearing Sonic play, and grow more skillful over the years, has always and without fail managed to soothe the fox, no matter the trouble or environment they faced prior.

But the hassle of having to carry around a whole ass instrument unsuited for those drastic environments that was pretty much as big as him wasn't lost on him. He can't deny Sonic obviously enjoyed playing the guitar, but he knows there's a lot of things the hedgehog did just for Tails' sake and nothing else.

Tails thought he stopped playing altogether after some time, but it seems he was wrong.

(He also thought he didn't need his big brother for comfort but he was gravely wrong about that as well.)

"Could you, could you play me something?" Tails asked so meekly he wanted to punch himself, he doubted it was possible to make himself more of a baby than he already was. He just wanted to sleep already.

Sonic's smile radiated at him even without a visual feed and a crunchy sound of rapidly plucked strings rang from the comunicator.

"Sure thing, got anything particular in mind?"

"Not really I just, I want to hear you play."

The "say no more." went unsaid as Sonic picked out a random melody and went with the flow.

That was until some parts gave Tails deja vu so strong he could swear he heard this song a thousand times already. No need to fight against it, he decided.

If anything, it did return him in time, to simpler times, when it was just him and Sonic and the campfire and the stars with a new day so far ahead he found himself not caring about what it might bring for the first time in his short life.

Even the communicator's less than suitable microphone didn't do the music any justice and picked up every third tone Sonic played, Tails didn't care. He knew this melody by heart, he realized, the gaps filled out by themselves.

It was less about wanting to hear music, than who was playing it. And well ok, maybe there wasn't anything bad about wanting to hear from his brother once in a blue moon.

Tails laid back down, closing his eyes.

Finally free from the unexplainable tension or the impending feeling of having needing to wake up again as soon as possible, It almost felt as if Sonic was right there by him, and he finally slept easy with that notion.

i wish i had more of a handle on knuckles i wanna do serious character analysis on knuckles.

easily embarrassed. easily angered. full of love. trusted too easily and now doesn't trust anyone (except for like 6 people). poor guy's first friend was eggman and like it or not it informs a lot of who he is today and how he interacts with people. super awkward from being isolated for so long (knuckles and silver solidarity). obviously cares deeply about his land and culture, loves it and mourns for it in equal measure every day. protects his true friends and is always there if you truly need him, despite his insincere grumblings. scared of company, grateful for company, longs for company.

great forager and gardener. bad with technology, overstimulated by bright lights and a lot of noise, is generally a guy who Wants To Go Home (his autism....). uncomfortable in positions of authority (The War) but still likes to Have A Say. does not tolerate nonsense unless he's in on the nonsense (sonic and him shoot each other out of cannons for fun i think). skilled weaver, skilled at making jewelry, skilled with survival, awkward around chao but is still very very good with them because he's lived with them his whole life.

adventurous, though not great at adapting to new situations (the autism). likes exploring / learning about other ancient cultures, languages, and peoples. curious about the nature of the world (where the master emerald came from, general existential stuff). likes a challenge. shows affection via mutual snark and/or deep talk about the universe. doesn't know much about planes but likes listening to tails talk about them.

is so hard on himself that he seriously contemplates ending his own life if he feels like he has failed his duties. feels like he exists for one purpose, despite his value to the world being much more than that. fears leaving his post because of multiple terrible experiences around leaving the master emerald unguarded, making him paranoid and wary, but his initially justified fear ends up isolating him and stunting him further. good thing his friends are so insistent on visiting and getting him out to see the world - he needs that.

again, is always there when you really need him. isn't good at emotional stuff but is a great shoulder to cry on nonetheless. heart achingly honest and genuine. will say what he thinks. doesn't pick up on social cues very well (autism). doesn't like admitting when HE needs a shoulder to cry on, but his loving friends are there for him even if he doesn't say anything - they know him well.

pushes people away to make himself feel safe and protect his squishy center - some of his best friends annoy the shit out of him because they insisted on being best friends with him anyway. great company once you get to know him. makes people laugh - time spent with sonic has honed his sense of humor.

precise, steady hands. great spatial awareness and reasoning. knowledgable about traditional medicine. is very clean and smells good. punches real good. good at conserving ancient artifacts and ruins - cleaning them, protecting them, maybe even retouching them or making some of his own.

he's so scared of being wronged. he longs for company. he's lonely. he's hard on himself. he's so full of love. he looks amazing in hats. and his song lied he DEFINITELY chuckles

So I've been thinking about Forces and Frontiers and their new "General Knuckles" characterization. Under the cut cause it got longer than I thought it would lol.

First off I'm not a fan of it and it really doesn't make sense for his character to me. He's someone who grew up in isolation, is easily trusting while also being a hot head that hits first asks questions later, none of that screams General of a resistance.

My working theory as to why they did this was they wanted a quick way to get away from himbo Knuckles that Boom had introduced. Cause his character was always presented as smart before with his knowledge of history and archeology just that he lacks the common sense that comes with being around other people and he was ignorant in that way.

In my opinion he should have been presented as the front lines man who's the first and last on the battle field. That way he was still very much in the inner circle of the resistance in Forces but his character isn't just sitting back in war meetings planning but in the middle of every fight. Since previous characterizations of him have never been a "think things through first" kinda guy it just doesn't make sense to me to suddenly make him the "plans guy".

My next thought was to give the General title to Amy. Cause it does kinda make sense. She's usually the character that hangs back since she's not one of the main 3 with that characterization being a left over from her early days of "damseled girl character." But she's also way more charismatic than Knuckles, has been shown to make plans, be detail oriented, and care deeply about other people.

But at the same time she's also characterized as a bit of a hot head and doesn't like to sit back while her friends are potentially in danger. With more recent versions have her liking to be beside them in a fight and is also shown to be one of the more heavy hitters with her hammer now-a-days. Plus her having to send people into a fight and them potentially being hurt (or killed) on her orders, while a good set up for angst and some character development, just didn't sit right with me.

Then it hit me.

There is a character that walks into a room and with few to no words commands respect and other's, even villains, to listen to them at the drop of a hat....it's Vanilla. Sega missed out on bringing her in from the sidelines and doing interesting things with her character in Forces in my opinion. She's been shown multiple times to be able to waltz into a room and immediately take complete control. She's is quickly able to command people and direct them to the best and most efficient course of action in a few of her scenes in the IDW comics.

Heck a lot of main characters have been shown to be a scared of her being angry, one of them being Rouge who's a spy and has literally been a double agent.

Imagine it though in Forces maybe we don't know she's in charge to begin with and it's kept a mystery for most of the game of who's the one leading the charge against Eggman. The main cast just keeps referring to the General in their conversations about their plans but not saying their name. Then after they do the big Sonic rescue and it's time for a big war meeting, boom ! in comes Vanilla who ain't messing around. I can imagine a line from Sonic of "Vanilla!!!?? You're the general!!!" in the scene where she's walks in.

This also leaves room for a few jokes of her flipping from serious leader to "mom of a 6 year old" attitude. Like big serious meeting and she's talking and directing what people will do in a big assault on an Eggman base and then suddenly she just like "oh! and I also brought cookies and juice boxes for all of you while we talk" and then immediately switching back to talking about planting a bomb or something.

And like even with Tails going off on his own and disappearing from them could have been an interesting topic of conflict with all of them. Like Vanilla having to give the order to Amy and Knuckles to not go looking for him cause they don't have the man power all the while Cream could be upset with her for not letting them look for her friend. Or something along these lines.

Idk I just really feel like Sega is sleeping on Vanilla and could do so much more with her. Just with her being a mom and the only consistent cannon friendly adult in the sea of over powered kids with her own kid jumping into the fray cause she's also an overpowered child just has a lot of potential there to me.

Jin!

- was raised in a house that would tend to broken vehicles, yet her mother was a bit of a...✨bitch✨ who always had planned for Jin to be exactly like her: running the broomstown rescue team. Well she got what she wanted, yet jin was MUCH nicer than her mother. But that's a story for another time ;3

- she had a brother. Keyword "had". Her little brother whose name was Hendrix died due to neglect from her mother. How did he die exactly? Poison.

- Anyways happy hc now: even if she bickers with helly, she sees him as a sorta little brother. ( =>)

Alr, now Amber

- As I've mentioned before, she can throw syringes at someone pretty easily. She's done it before (by accident!) to helly-

Now, this one may be triggering but I'm sorry :(

- orphan. Why? Basically her family had her put in a "special" school. She had two sisters but that now is only a memory. Why? Well that school had smth bad happen to it: a uh, school shooting.

- Siren go weewoo/j I didn't know what to put here lmao

- Sometimes, he looks after the more "younger" residents if there's anything that comes up with their guardian(s) and takes them for a tour around the rescue station!

- Still, scared of caterpillars :3 (hey, I don't like them either, so he ain't alone/j)

- gets dragged into chaos with Helly sometimes (either willingly because boredom or forcibly-)

- like some people, I hc him to be able to speak korean mostly because I think he was raised in Korea✨

And now Roy (who I actually don't have that much for but screw it✨)

- got taught korean by poli just to mess with the others because why not. (I'll let y'all decide what they talk about✨)

- knows other languages but prefers to stick with English :3

- if a STH show exists in their world, his favorite character would be knuckles (polis favorite would be sonic, helly's favorite is tails and Amy✨)

- Now, if you don't specify a thing your giving him isn't edible, he will immediately eat it. Don't ask why, he just does.

Wish more were interested in recognizing and embracing differences between modern and Boom Egg instead of acting like they're one in the same because it's true and way more interesting that way with the comparison Imo

Boom Egg's idea of his theme park is just mildly troublesome while modern Eggman's dreams for Eggmanland is literally a sadistic hell on earth (one of my favorites lol)

Boom Eggman is implied to be lonely and want friends and attention. Modern Eggman isn't and instead seems comfortable being alone, doesn't seem to get along with and always seems too bothered by people in general to make friends, and wants attention from afar on a global scale instead.

Boom Eggman wants to be friends with Sonic and willing to befriend his other friends too. Meanwhile that's the last thing modern Eggman would want, he haaates the guts of Sonic and co and clearly wants them dead so bad, always trying to actually kill them and being delighted whenever he thinks he's succeeded.

Boom Egg was hinted at having the ability to care for others here and there, while modern Egg has never been seen capable of thinking about anyone else's needs and desires and doesn't give a damn about anyone's but his own hehe

Boom Egg also had small moments of showing he can be genuinely selflessly nice to a child, unlike modern Eggman being a danger to them by how he treats Sonic and co while specifically acknowledging they're kids/children, combined with how he treats his creations.

Boom Egg is more scared easily in various ways with the funniest being ghosts, while modern Egg is extremely brave in the face of literal death more often than not, summons and tries to harness horrifying monstrous beasts, and also captures ghosts and sees them as mildly bothersome instead of scary! Another favorite funny one.

Boom Eggman seems to have some insecurities in various ways, while modern Egg has never been implied to be uncomfortable or unhappy with himself or his life in any way and his egotism is genuine even in private and clearly isn't a cover up for any insecurity.

Boom Egg is hardly evil compared to modern despite insisting all the time, he's mildly a menace that targets one island, doesn't have goals that are that evil, and never causes that much harm and destruction. Modern actually says he's evil far less but shows it way more by being a serious global threat of diabolical evil who has caused global catastrophe and tons of evil schemes that have likely killed thousands.

Etc etc and that's what makes them such a fun combination to me to put together and make them interact

Something has to bring all the counterparts together, it's either Nine or some big space anomaly. (Still holding onto the sacrifice idea until we get the trailer later for proper speculation.)

There's such a big insistent that they're just as alive as the originals brings up how concerning the finale is going to go; cause I don't think some are going to swallow the idea of the verses being gone so easily unless there's proper reasoning for it. (That, and if the counterparts can live on in some manner.)

There's most certainly going to a huge emotional breakdown on Nine's part, I can feel it. (I wonder if part of it is that he's having a hard time processing a life that wasn't either hectic or in solitude. Him making those palm trees and coconuts has to mean something, I doubt those crossed his mind before Sonic showed up. And in his own lab at that, his own private space. Also Sonic mentioning to expect many adventures after the whole thing is over. {And will Nine ever experience a chili-dog? Questions, questions.})

Heh, it would be pretty funny if Mangey's first [and likely only] coherent sentence is the thing that strikes a deep chord in Nine. The fact that he saw both at all will probably be in his mind when working on the Grim. (Hmm, I have seen a few think Sails might be a representation of Tails' loyalty, and such, might have abandonment issues [like the rest of the pirate crew]. The fact that Sonic came back, but Dread jumped ship could probably cause some reflection.) In any case, not getting an episode with all 3 together when one's leaning into main antagonist territory would be a massive waste on the storytelling.

Mangeeey! I think Nine seeing his counterparts helped him to better understand how the Shatterverse works... he seemed confused when he saw Sails but downright scared when he saw Mangey... Idk what conclusions he came to though.

It could be loyalty, though out of all 3 Tailses Sails is the one with the least unique/obvious personality traits. I was mostly thinking how the things Sails and Mangey went through could relate to Nine's situation, it's easy with Mangey, but what could Sails offer, you know? If anything It'll be like with the Roses, "Fuck Dread and Fuck the Council Sonic", I don't think Sails could actually be of help here. (Unless it amounts to "hey at least Sonic isn't as bad as Dread, you should forgive him". Which I don't like because I don't think Nine is obligated to forgive Sonic. I wouldn't mind if he decides to forgive him anyway in the end, but no one should guilt him into it. I actually think it would be cooler if he didn't, because it would show Sonic that his actions have consequences and he can't placate Nine with a "sorry" the way he does Tails. 1) op's first mistake was thinking a change.org petition would do anything

2) op was a grown ass woman with a hate boner for a fictional pink hedgehog all because she got in the way of a ship

3) something that stood out is that op said amy was a "bad role model for children" because she "promotes violence" with her hammer. like THE ENTIRE SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG GAME EXISTS??? so a hedgehog holding a gun doesn't promote violence but the funny pink hedgehog with the hammer does. got it

4) op has made it obvious that she hates amy because she's a sally/sonally stan but she tries to hide it by pretending to have some kond of moral high ground and saying "oh, amy's a bad role model for children" but it makes her a hypocrite. by that logic mario is a bad role model for children because he encourages them to stomp on turtles.

5) she says amy should be replaced by characters like sally, blaze, and rouge. but these characters come AFTER amy, who was supposed to be the lead female of the game. blaze and rouge only got introduces in the modern era. to suddenly make them the lead female characters wouldn't make sense. and sally is from a different continuity. if she was implemented in the game canon her backstory would be different.

6) and going off the above point, all three of the female characters op mentioned wouldn't hesitate to burn her to keep amy warm.

First of all I wanna mention that it actually takes them awhile to even tell anyone. Everyone, including Tails at one point, were certain that Sonic had died. How do they tell/explain this to anyone? Much less the world? And what if they don't believe him (Tails)? It'd be logical of them to assume he's just in some sort of denial over Sonic's death again.

So they actually go awhile without anybody knowing but uh. The first person to be 'informed' of Scrapnic's existence technically hadn't been told anything. So who is it?

Well remember how I said that since Tails couldn't really keep a certain someone out of his workshop/home that they're the only one that Tails ever really talked with?

If you don't remember, it's Shadow.

Also since I ended up going on whole spiel about what happens here's a TL;DR: Shadow visits Tails and, much to Tails' dismay, can tell something is up and ends up discovering Scrapnic. Immense confusion ensues.

You see, Tails had been so distracted with Scrapnic that he completely forgot that Shadow visits him regularly to check in on him. So when he hears a knock at the door and sees it's Shadow (through a peephole in the door) he immediately panics. He tries to convince Shadow that now's a bad time.

Of course this completely backfires as it only makes Shadow worried about him. Except for the first few times, Tails had never done this before. It's clear he's hiding something so he teleports inside much to Tails' dismay.

The additional problem here is that, due to completely forgetting about Shadow's visits, he hadn't told Scrapnic to hide. Just asked for him to stay out of sight of the door while he handles it. I mean whoever it is, he should be able to get them to go away pretty easily.

But wuh oh! Turns out the person at the door is literally the only person who he can't easily get to go away! And Scrapnic doesn't know this!

And Tails really tries to get Shadow to not come in beyond the doorway. He's totally fine, see? Shadow obviously doesn't buy it one bit. So uh. Shadow begins to go looking around the workshop to find out what Tails is trying to hide, inevitably stumbling across Scrapnic. Idk what Scrapnic is doing when he finds him but he's definitely just harmlessly minding his own business.

When Shadow sees him he just completely blue screens for a moment. What. The fuck. Is a Metal Sonic. Doing here.

He immediately gets into a defensive position and Is just all "Who the fuck are you?!" and on one hand, Shadow is tempted to attack him. But on the other hand, this is probably what Tails was trying to hide from him. And since Tails seems fine there's probably something more going on here?? Maybe????

And Scrapnic just completely gets the (s)crap scared out of him and is all like "Shadow??? What the fuck are you doing here?????"

I'm just imagining it's like that one Spiderman meme, lol.

Tails just rushes in like "PLEASE DON'T ATTACK HIM, SHADOW!!! I SWEAR THERE'S A GOOD REASON HE'S HERE!!!" and is super relieved to see a lack of fighting.

Of course Shadow demands an explanation and poor Tails is like "Yes. An explanation. This is a thing I should definitely be explaining now. Something of which I will explain. Something I am totally sure of how to explain to you because it's definitely nothing complicated. Of which I should definitely get on. You know, since I'm sure you'll totally understand and not question my sanity. Haha, yup."

Both Shadow and Scrapnic just stare at Tails all like -_- because he's clearly stalling and most definitely does NOT know how to explain.

Eventually Shadow has enough and is just like "For fucks sake, let's just go into the living room where you can just take your damn time figuring out a way to explain why in the fuck there's a Metal Sonic in your house rn." while poor Scrapnic just stands there uncomfortably at being called a Metal Sonic.

Tails makes Shadow promise to hear him out before jumping to conclusions as he proceeds to just tell him what happened on Scrapnik Island.

Then he gets to the part where it's revealed that Scrapnic is Sonic.

And Shadow just. Doesn't know how to process that. What the fuck do you mean that's not a Metal Sonic and is actually just Sonic?? That Sonic is still technically alive but as a fucking robot? Why the hell didn't Sonic, like, run across the water or some shit?! (The answer is that he was too scared that his robotic body would fail him in the middle of ocean)

Shadow is visibly angry but holds out the questioning until Tails is done. And to put it simply He's not happy. In fact he's fucking pissed, even with the explanation.

Cause Shadow knows how painful it feels to lose someone that close to you. The sheer amount of grief it gives you.

So to know that Tails had to go through for all that for no reason? That Sonic was alive this whole time? Whose only 'reason' he didn't just run across the water was due to his own cowardice?

Well, let's just say that Scrapnic is gonna get a very stern talking to...

This hasn't been Sonic's best week. Not by a long shot.

For starters, he has a concussion. It's getting a bit better, but he hasn't had much time to rest and let it heal. The world is too weird for that.

There's a blizzard in the Mystic Ruins. It's December, sure, but the Ruins are usually warm year-round. It shouldn't be cold enough for snow to form in the first place, let alone get cold enough for a blizzard to ravage the region. Everything about it is strange and out of place.

Maybe he shouldn't be so surprised. Everywhere he goes, the weather is unpredictable. Nothing about the sky makes sense anymore. Where he expects sun, he gets snow. Where there is usually rain, he finds cloudless skies after weeks of drought. In some places, the stars don't shine at all anymore. That's just how it is these days, he supposes.

He wishes he understood why everything was so different. Nothing about it feels natural, but he doesn't know for certain what's causing it. It can't only be Eggman--Sonic and Tails are too good at ruining his plans for him to be the one who stole the stars from the sky. That means it's something Sonic doesn't know about, or something he can't fight as easily. The uncertainty frustrates him to no end.

Tails says it has something to do with the atmosphere. The sky is sick, he'd said. Science is Tails' shtick. Sonic should believe him. He tries to, at least. He just doesn't want to.

When he fights robots and gods that threaten the planet, his job is easy. He can touch them, feel them break beneath his quills. He can't do that with something intangible. This is what makes him so reluctant to accept Tails' theory: how is he supposed to protect him from something he can't even feel?

Sonic comes to a stop at the top of a hill. Visibility is low due to the heavy snow, and his hedgehog eyes are bad enough that he can barely see more than a few metres in front of him. His skull pounds in sync with his heart. He thinks he's already stopped on this hill today, but his memory is foggy and the concussion makes it hard to think clearly. As far as he knows, he's been running in circles trying to find Tails' workshop for the last five hours.

He's been gone for more than a day. He'd left to find food after the first few snowflakes fell, but his trip has been entirely unsuccessful. The cold killed the plants and scared away the small game in the Ruins, and no matter where he ran on the continent, he would find Eggman bases or human settlements. He knows better than to eat anything near the settlements--they spray all their edible plants with something that makes him sick. Anything within a ten kilometre radius is off-limits.

There might be more food farther south, but Sonic doesn't have time to go there and head back to the workshop anymore. He usually has a good sense of direction, but he keeps getting lost no matter where he goes, and because of his head injury and the storm it's been more than a day since him or Tails have eaten anything, and the workshop doesn't even have heating and Tails deserves more--

Sonic sucks in a deep breath. Only his brother is capable of stressing him out like this. If he's going to find the workshop, he needs to stay calm. He needs to focus.

Of course, that's easier said than done when you're Sonic the Hedgehog.

The Mother Wisp was about to return back to the Shadow Void before sensing another Wisp flying up to her making her turn to look at them. After hearing them explain what was going on and asking for help she turned her attention downwards. It was hard to ignore sensing so many young Wisp scared or worried which only made her angry as while she wasn't the Grand Mother Wisp each Mother Wisp could still feel the emotions of all the children.

The Mother Wisp would then grow a size, a sign she was struggling to keep her anger in check, though was remaining mostly calm. She would disappear only to reappear right above the base. She'd then just angrily glare at the GUN soldiers, as if daring them to try anything and to see what'll happen.

Lanolin was trying her best to keep calm, but the threat that Sonic might snap and cause an all out war between GUN and Restoration was insane. She was trying to devise some way to ward off GUN and now she had to worry that Sonic might just blow everything! not that she wasn't pissed about Amy to! but there was a difference between being angry about it, and getting people killed because of it! She was just about to order her people to openly try and stop Sonic when Blaze's voice popped in her head making her stop cold in her tracks.

She looked up as if that would help her see Blaze better

- To get an idea for how to write his character, let's start right away on Yandere behavior.

- Robotnik/Eggman is Manipulative, Controlling, Impulsive, Easily jealous, and rather Self-centered.

- He isn't a good person and is someone to not care how you feel about him.

- If he likes you then he gets you, he's entitled and immature.

- Selfish, too, Eggman feels the only way to satiate his obsession is stalking/kidnapping.

- He has robots to help him.

- Eggman thinks it'll be an easy task, unless you're allied with Sonic.

- Then that hedgehog throws a wrench in things.

- Why must that blue blur make his life harder?

- Oh well, he'll just find a way around this.

- "One way or another, I'll make you mine...!"

- Robots end up scaring you a lot whenever you see them.

- Eggman tends to use them to keep an eye on you.

- It's always a good thing to break them when you see them.

- It'll frustrate the man and make it harder for him to find you.

- You can only delay the inevitable for so long, however.

- One way or another you'll be captured.

- Run all you want, at some point you'll get tired.

- Ways Eggman could have an interest in you usually has to do with power.

- You're a powerful deity/royalty, you're also good with robotics, you generate enough energy to power an army, you guard chaos emeralds/know about them, etc.

- He most likely won't go after some random person.

- You have to be connected to power somehow, then he slowly falls for you while hunting you down.

- He is obsessed with the idea of ruling the world, after all.

- If he needs you for it then he'll be obsessed with you.

- "With you, I'll rule the world!"

- When he eventually captures you he'll try to make you comfortable.

- It's the only way he's getting anything out of you, but you'll still be unable to get out of your confinement.

- While you're waiting for someone to save you, you're pestered by him.

- Eggman would probably be one to mind break you.

- He's also egotistical, wanting his darling to worship him.

- If you don't comply to his whims then Eggman can get impulsive and emotional.

- It's usually like a tantrum, making you scoff at how childish and entitled the man is at his age.

- Yet it's not good to take him lightly, either.

- If he is unsuccessful at getting anything from you, affection or information, he won't hesitate to use harsher methods.

- "You've pushed me too far, dear. Your rebellion ends now!"

- Harsher methods include brainwashing/torture.

- He has the technology and he's ruthless enough to do it.

- Eggman would not be obsessive with getting you to say 'I love you' to him.

- He also doesn't say it much himself, maybe to tease you but really he's just an egocentric sadist.

- He likes to keep you like a little pet once he gets what he needs from you.

- You'll be wonderful company for him.

- You'll also be great bait for Sonic and his friends.

- By the end of this he'll not only rule the world, but have you along for the ride.
