Not sure if you've been asked this before, but do you have any specific reason why you chose alhazen to be tails nickname in your fics? As an Arab reader I'm delighted to see an Arab scientist being brought up but it got me curious, why him?

oooh so when i was giving tails his public name, i looked around at really old physicists to find one who fit. i saw alhazen described as the world’s “first true scientist” and thought it fit as a name for someone who unlocked science for his planet.

I haven't read the sequel yet, and can't remember if I asked this before, but I. Your fanfic setting was Dr. Robotnik/Eggman going by the first name but then switching to Eggman for the name of his empire like him taking on a more Mobians name? I remembered having the thought over a year ago.

hiii unfortunately the answer for this is a little boring 😔 eggman and eggman empire are terms that the public grew to use for him, most likely originating from sonic and his resistance group. tails still calls him robotnik simply because that’s the name he’s always used for him—and in part because he was less exposed to whatever public persona robotnik was using at the time. my rule is that everyone should call him eggman except people who have known him personally, which is tails and later starline (who calls him Ivo).

Amy followed in-step. “With a name like ‘Miles’, you’re bound to have one. Tails the Fox is a good Mobian name, though. I never bothered to get one. Amy is easy enough to say.” 

“What about Cream and Vanilla? They still live together,” Tails said. Floral Forest Village was still a little strange to him, in the way that families existed as units and lived in their own homes. He’d yet to see another village like it on the islands. 

“Everyone in their village does that. I’m not sure why. Maybe a lot of her neighbours are from human territories or something.” Amy tilted her head in thought. “Vanilla is really protective, though. I don’t think she’d let Cream live apart from her no matter where they were.”
