I love the new LEGO SETS because it’s Tails and Sonic at the beach…Because Sonic loves to swim…obviously

Then we got Amy fighting robots with grapes at Angel Island with Knuckles and the Master Emerald Shrine….obviously

Hi there! I have a quick little non-art related question. Have you built any of the sonic lego sets? If so which one is your favourite? Also, if you got the Tail’s lab set, did you notice the mints they put in???? I thought that was pretty hilarious XD

I have! I got Amy’s Animal Rescue Island for Christmas this year and I keep her here at work on my desk. Whenever people come to my office they can’t help but play with the set 🤣

This is the only one I own right now, but I had to have it because Amy’s my favorite and also the animal friends are SO TINY! And there’s TINY FRUIT!!! And a BAR?!?! 😂

I love the amount of details they put into these sets! I did not know that about the Tails set but that’s genius.

My coworker also gave my this unofficial, cursed Sonic minifig and I keep him on top of my computer monitor to scare me to stay on task at all times 😂

joke aside im so happy we finally got the master emerald shrine even if it’s so scaled back, but highlights of the “clearly designed for little kid playtime with little awareness of lore implications” for me:

punching bag <3 which is actually very cleverly designed, if you spin him on the pad it actually looks like he’s punching (gif under the cut)

lattice with grape vines (which go with amy’s part of the set, a launcher to fight the egg robot)

the little bedroom nook underneath the shrine, complete with: bed carved from log, chaos cola, and a lava lamp???????

Yikes, listing Knuckles under a list of traits for Rouge is pretty gross, not gonna lie. Is she really that underdeveloped that they couldn't think of anything else to put there? That's insulting really.

They could have listed anything like "flirtatious", "materialistic" or "persistent"—any of which would describe Rouge.

Looking at the other character bios, they really had nothing for her, huh.

Sonic: speedy, confidant, unstoppable

Shadow: skilled, independent, protector

Tails: intelligent, innovative, optimistic

Amy: spirited, brave, kind

Rouge's bio just lists random stuff...treasure, secrets, Knuckles. That doesn't describe her at all. Everyone else has character traits but she doesn't. I'm incredibly disappointed in the complete lack of care for Rouge's character. They just listed her as being Knuckles' side piece with no personality to speak of.

Oh so this was knuckles' bio that I finally found:

Knuckles: heroic, kind-hearted, honest

Holy crap, this is depressing. The disrespect for Rouge is out of this world. Her bio lists him as her character trait but his bio doesn't even mention her and includes all his good qualities. What about "gullible" huh? "Hot headed"? No, they made Rouge his side piece but he's gotta have all his good traits.

I don't hate Knuckles, but I can't believe they did this to Rouge
