buneary and grubbin. i get to go bunny mode 24/7 and my new bestie is an electricity bug. i see this as an absolute win

in the postgame when i get to evolve them vikavolt will finally be able to not care about his abysmal speed stat im so proud of him. also i get to mega evolve i guess so thats cool

when i finally learn ive been betrayed by the ominous ghost and/or dark type (1/4 chance of it being a cute psychic type instead. lets go with a hattenna) who is respected by the townspeople i simply yeet grubbin at them antennae first to "give em the ole business". grubbin has asked me to stop doing this on hunts for outlaws several times now but this time he gets it

i spun the wheel again to roll who my sorta guardian angel friend is (think gardevoir, grovyle, hydreigon) and i first rolled elgyem. "no beheeyems are already characters." then scraggy. "thats ALSO already a character."

then i rolled tandemaus. and i think that them being like gardevoir and only i can hear them except theyre like the angel and devil on my shoulder (who also sent me to the pokemon world) is very good. except instead of good and evil its "save the world!" and "become as strong as possible first". like

tandemaus a: "autumn you need to save the baby skwovet who got lost in the forest!"

me: (yeah that sounds like a plan)

tandemaus b: "no. idiot. go to the main menu and put in wonder mail codes to give yourself the best items first. itll take 20 minutes but itll be worth it"

me: (oh shit true. lemme do that)

20 mins later

grubbin: "autumn why did you space out for 20 minutes there"

me, holding mysterious pieces of mail that appeared from nowhere: "grubbin check this shit out if we go to Welcoming Crag 5 times we can get a bunch of cool stuff thatll help us save the pokemon"

tandemaus a: "what"

grubbin: "what"

baby skwovet at the end of a dungeon called Fiery Forest "im scared. also i just got an inexplicable wave of dread. wheres my mom"

when im in the final boss dungeon that belongs to... flips a coin a legendary pokemon instead of a Mystery Creature. we'll go with uhhh. necrozma. the tandemaus that only i can hear become corporeal at the dungeon midpoint, and grubbin (understandably traumatized by The Hattenna Incident) is like "servants of necrozma! autumn we have to defeat them!" and im like "woah okay grubbin. these guys are cool. yknow how i space out sometimes?" "yeah?" "yeah these guys have been haunting my brain ever since i got turned into a pokemon. theyre chill though dont worry" and tandemaus a is "grubbin i never thought id get to talk to you thank you for helping autumn all this way" and grubbin is like "aw shucks its what friends do" and me and tandemaus b are looking at eachother nervously since im gonna disappear into a tuft of light after this

you're going about your normal day when, suddenly, surprise! you've been pokémon mystery dungeon'd!

unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the pokémon assigning quiz has been canceled. instead, you must spin THE WHEEL, assigning you a random, unevolved, non-legendary and non-mythical pokémon. you must now go on some sort of world-saving adventure as this pokémon. good luck!

~30 Day Pokemon Challenge Day 23~

Today we have Generation V!  Time for some weird little guys~

I’ve always had a wild fascination with ancient Egypt in general, but particularly in their interesting beliefs about the afterlife, mummification and burial procedures for their nobles or Pharaohs.  I got pretty excited to see that we were getting a creepy, sarcophagus spook.  Cofagrigus is more defensively inclined, but for some reason I always tend to prepare mine with a more offensive set and a nature that lends itself more towards offense.  It’s been on my list to attempt to raise a defensive Cofagrigus sometime soon.  Eerie, ancient, malevolent, and badass?  Hell yeah, this one’s in my top.

Look at it—it’s a cute little alien!  The Elgyem line was also a really welcome thing to see in the Generation V lineup.  The psychic-type suits it perfectly; look at the big head with the mysterious markings on it!  And damn, is this thing powerful.  I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near those flashing fingers; there’s no telling what they can make you think or see.  I added a Beheeyem to my in-game team on my last run of Ultra Moon version, and honestly, it was a great choice.  I named her Starry, and gave her a couple of TM moves to top off her mind-bending, special offensive moveset.  Overall, Beheeyem is kind of underrated but is too cute, strange, and powerful not to mention!  I just adore it <3

Are Elgyem and Beeheeyem affectionate Pokémon? And what are they like with an affectionate Trainer?

Elgyem

* Elgyem isn’t too affectionate but it can be if the affection is initiated by someone else. It’ll sometimes try to hold hands with it’s trainer but that’s about all it’ll do on it’s own.

* With an affectionate trainer, Elgyem doesn’t mind the affection at all. It’ll often return it back, although sometimes it can be too much for the Elgyem and it’ll back away if it doesn’t want anymore affection.

Beheeyem

* Beheeyem is a bit less affectionate than it’s pre-evolution but it’ll still show it if their trainer gives it to them first. It still keeps the habit of holding it’s trainer’s hand when at home together and occasionally it’ll hug it’s trainer’s arm before and after a battle.

* With an affectionate trainer, Beheeyem is more open to the affection than before. It’ll accept as much of it’s trainer affection and especially likes it when it’s trainer hugs them.

Hello! If you don't mind me asking, do you have any headcanons for the Elgyem line?

Elgyem

* If there’s a person that they don’t like, they’ll use their psychic powers to give them really bad headaches. They’ll never do this to pokemon though or human children, just trainers who should know better.

* There is still a lot of things about this pokemon that people don’t know. It’s widely believed that this pokemon came from space and is the subject of a lot of research.

* They’re very curious pokemon. They like to know about everything and everyone around them so they’ll sit and observe, trying to learn what they can from merely observing.

Beheeyem

* They have the ability to see and tamper with anyone’s memories. They can use this to help others though. They normally only do this with their trainers, what they’ll do is if they see that their trainer either wants to forget something or can’t remember something, it’ll use it’s abilities to help them.

* Sometimes it can be a bit hard to understand what they’re saying or want since they have no direct way to communicate with humans. The best they can do is project thoughts to their trainers to show them what they want to tell them.

* The lights they flash on their fingers have yet to be decoded by even the most smartest scientists. Some people seem to think that these lights are a way for them to communicate back to wherever they came from in space.
