Winona: Ah, Fluffy! You're so... fluffy! Is that natural for a Hydreigon like you?

For a Hydreigon like him specifically, yes! Fluffy is of the subspecies Alpine, which are suited to living in very high, snowy mountainous areas. So his fur is longer and thicker than one would find in a typical Hydreigon, which makes him super fluffy! He’s also got some other adaptions too to help living in such a harsh environment.

Of course, he doesn’t live as high as his adaptions would allow, he’s got a bab to look after so he’s found a decent cavern well below the snow line and decently hidden from human interference.
