So!
I have figured out that Hoopa did not, in fact, send me to Castelia City, but instead some place called "New York" in a completely different universe that's full of people with superpowers and doesn't have any Pokémon!
The smart thing to do would probably be to ask a superhero for help.
The fun thing to do would be to become a D-list supervillain and annoy people enough that they send me home so they don't have to put up with me anymore!
Anyway, if anyone needs me I'll be spending the next two hours psychically broadcasting the lyrics to Wonderwall into every mind at the Daily Bugle building on loop.

Legendary and Mythical Pokemon You Could Keep in An Apartment
Mewtwo - if a seven-foot person could comfortably live in your apartment, so could a Mewtwo. Their needs for space and environment are minimal, and they often appreciate being treated like a human. Thus, space-wise, it's not dissimilar to preparing for an extra human housemate. It's a shame so few Mewtwo exist, they're probably the Legendary with the smallest barrier to entry regarding keeping them.
Mew - I say this with a grain of salt. Mew need a LOT of enrichment and a lot of play, but they're small enough that it's possible to keep them in a small space. Just be mindful of their needs and their over-the-top nature. Definitely bring them outside!
Celebi - Again, they're small, but again, a grain of salt should be applied. They feel most comfortable with a lot of plant life, but like Mew, they don't need a large space. Unlike Mew, they sometimes feel uncomfortable in large home spaces, but also like Mew, they should be brought outdoors often.
Latias - Latias can technically be kept in an apartment, but they'll probably be uncomfortable unless they're let outside very often. But if your apartment is spacious enough for Latias to maneuver, they should be fine. Latios are larger, and therefore this probably won't work for them.
Kyogre - For the record, you cannot keep a Kyogre out and about in an apartment...but the same is true of a house. If you have good access to a body of water they can roam in, an apartment has no advantage over a house for keeping a Kyogre.
Jirachi - Small, don't need a ton of enrichment as long as you spend time with them; they're very relaxed. It's fine to have one in a small space.
Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf - As above with Jirachi, they can be kept in a small space. However, they need a small space to hide in that's their own and private.
Cresselia - They're very sedentary, a daily walk and some Psychic enrichment will fulfill their needs and they don't need a ton of space.
Manaphy - As long as they have access to water and the opportunity to swim some long distances, they're fine without a ton of space. If you have a tub in your apartment that Manaphy can hang out in, it'll be happy.
Darkrai - I've discussed them before, but Darkrai are quite comfortable in small spaces as long as they have a space that they can hide and relax in, someplace dark and comfortable.
Shaymin - Shaymin like plants, but even a window garden and some indoor plants will keep them happy. With the ability to fly around in Sky Form and a very relaxed nature in Land Form, it's not too hard to keep them content in an apartment.
Victini - Like Mew, they're over the top with energy, and destructive at times - but if you can keep up with them, space isn't an issue.
Meloetta - Like Mewtwo, space-wise it's like having an extra person in the home. Unlike Mewtwo, this extra person is on average two feet tall.
Hoopa - The Unbound form is an issue, but Bound Hoopa - while mischievous and destructive - is a Pokemon that doesn't need a ton of space.
Cosmog/Cosmoem - You absolutely cannot keep a Solgaleo or Lunala in an apartment. Don't try. However, their pre-evolved forms are fine in confined spaces, and even enjoy them.
Marshadow - As long as they have shadows to hide in, they're pretty happy little creatures. Friendly, too. They'll need a good amount of enrichment, and they'll probably want to play with the rest of your team a lot, but they're nice enough.
Magearna - As long as they receive appropriate affection and time, they're fine in a small space.
Honorable Mentions:
Diancie - They're troublesome for an apartment due to their accidental destructiveness and need for cave access and rock features. Best kept in a house with a rocky yard.
Zeraora - They're too active to be kept in an apartment for the most part due to their active nature, need for privacy, and need to climb, but a Trainer willing to go through a lot of trouble probably could.

"Exceptionally Dangerous" Heat Wave May Scorch California for Several Days
Excessive Heat Warnings currently affect 15 million people in California, with Excessive Heat Watches in place for western Oregon and western Nevada, indicating widespread areas at major to extreme heat risk.
An intense and potentially record-setting ridge of high pressure is developing across California and the West, threatening a dangerous, life-threatening heat wave that could last for days, potentially extending over a week.
The worst heat will be concentrated in California's Central Valley, where temperatures may reach 110 degrees for 10 days or more. However, nearly all of California, along with parts of western Oregon and western Nevada, will experience prolonged sweltering conditions.
Climate and Average Weather Year Round in 01775 - Stow MA
Currently, Excessive Heat Warnings affect 33 million people across California, western Oregon, western Nevada, and Arizona, with widespread areas facing major to extreme heat risk.
It's not just the near or record-breaking temperatures that have forecasters concerned, but also their duration, as the hot weather pattern remains stagnant.
"The record-breaking heat isn’t going anywhere," forecasters from the National Weather Service in San Francisco wrote in their forecast discussion Tuesday morning. "The high-pressure dome will linger over California for at least a week, with some long-range guidance suggesting that timeline may even be optimistic."
The San Francisco Bay Area might record its all-time highest temperature at 5,000 feet this week (currently 88 degrees) based on their twice-daily weather balloon launches. NWS forecasters noted that the region is likely to remain in the 98th percentile for heat for at least six days, and possibly up to 12 days.
"While we have all experienced high temperatures before, this event may reach the upper limits of what we’ve historically seen in terms of duration," stated the NWS in San Francisco.

youtube
Their Excessive Heat Warning was even more alarming:
"Several days of temperatures well above normal will lead to compounding effects on people and infrastructure, with the possibility of numerous heat-related fatalities. It cannot be stressed enough that while one day at these temperatures may be manageable for some, an event of this scale, magnitude, and longevity will likely rival anything we've seen in the last 18 years. Heat is the number one weather-related killer in the United States. By this weekend, it is VERY LIKELY that we will add to that statistic if preparations are not taken seriously."
Weather Forecast For 37821-Newport-TN:
https://www.behance.net/gallery/200105047/Weather-Forecast-For-37821-Newport-TN
Forecasters across the region issued similar warnings.
What is a Heat Dome?
"This is a severe heat event," said NWS forecasters in the San Joaquin Valley. "The heat risk index is in the major to extreme category through the end of the forecast period. There is no reason to doubt the guidance."
"Widespread major to extreme heat risk will last at least into the weekend," echoed the NWS in Sacramento.
"For Hoopa in particular, this could easily approach the all-time high temperature record of 111," noted the NWS in Eureka. "All indicators point to strongly above-average temperatures being here to stay for the foreseeable future."
Medford, Oregon, could challenge or exceed its record of 10 consecutive days over 100 degrees, with the potential of reaching 110 degrees over the weekend.
Even Death Valley could see temperatures soar into the mid to upper 120s. If they approach 130 degrees, these would rank among the hottest temperatures ever reliably recorded on Earth.

https://weatherusa.app/zip-code/weather-90005
Even more concerning is the lack of overnight cooling, with many areas only dropping into the 70s to low 80s, providing minimal time for heat recovery.
Additionally, long-range forecasts do not clearly indicate when the heat wave will end. Even if temperatures drop from their peaks next week, long-range projections confidently suggest that above-average temperatures will persist in the West.

What if other Pokemon in Pokémon Go get Adventure Effects?
So we’ve known since December 2023 about Dialga and Palkia’s Origin forms getting special effects of their signature moves Roar of Time and Spacial Rend respectively. These are called Adventure Effects and are able to change how the game is played. They can only be used if you have the specific Candy and enough Stardust and can have their time limits extended by using more of both.
For the sake of those who didn’t get the chance to participate in the event to get these Pokémon a few weeks or longer than when I made this post, the moves do as follows;
If your Origin Form Dialga has Roar of Time in its moveset, it is able to pause the timers of all items currently in play that affect you specifically. I haven’t tested it on the Mega Pokemon timers or the Daily Incense yet, but for the regular Incense, Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces, it will pause the timers if they are active before you use the Adventure Effect. It does not affect Adventure Effects themselves (I’ve tested it and they don’t work that way).
If your Palkia is the Origin Form with the move Spacial Rebd, than it expands your search radius for Pokémon. Honestly I would’ve preferred if they made it so Pokemon that are Region Exclusives (Tauros for the USA, Kangaskhan for Oceania, Mr. Mime for Europe, etc.), but in hindsight this is still a very strong effect, especially if you have a Pokémon Go Plus or Plus + but a stationary job like Office Worker as opposed to one like Factory Worker where you gotta keep on your feet. I think it might also extend the range you can interact with Pokestops at, but I haven’t tested it out.
But this isn’t about Dialga or Palkia. You read the heading, so you know this is about what other Pokémon could get these Adventure Effects, so let’s look at a few examples of where these Effects could go, starting with one I already brought up; Regional Exclusive Encounters.
There is a Pokémon already in the game called Hoopa, the Mischief Pokémon. The signature move of the Hoopa in the main series games is Hyperspace Hole which as of current is not available in Pokémon Go, and would be an amazing move to incorporate the ability to catch Region Exclusive Pokémon from the comfort of your house. However, there’s another way this could go. Reminding now my dear audience; Hoopa Unbound, the Djinn Pokémon with its own signature move, Hyperspace Fury. Again in the mainline games, when Hoopa switches between it’s Confined and Unbound forms, it’s signature move also changes. So how abiht this~
In Hoopa’s Confined Form, you can use the Adventure Effect of Hyperspace Hole to encounter low level Region Exclusive Pokémon but will be a sinch to capture. However if your Hoopa is Unbound and has Hyperspace Fury, than the Region Exclusive Pokémon will be higher level, but I hope you have a lot of Razz Berries because they will be tough to catch.
Now let’s look at a different way Adventure Effects could be done. Type Specific Encounters.
The two examples I came up with sadly already have their signature Moves available, but if Niantic ever decides to adjust that, than Origin Form Giratina with Shadow Force allowing more encounters with Ghost Types and Heatran having more encounters with Fire types if it has Magma Storm would be a great way to integrate older moves with special effects. Could even work with Xerneas and Yveltal’s signature moves Geomancy (I know it’s a status move but Charm is doing damage in Go so whatever) and Oblivion Wing (both of which are not in Pokémon Go yet) increasing Fairy and Dark type encounters respectively.
I know Heatran, Xerneas and Yveltal don’t have alternate forms, but it still could work. Adventure Effects are brand new, so we don’t have set rules quite yet.
The final idea I have so far is for the biggest mamma jamma of them all, Arceus and Judgement. Another move not yet in the game, and this one is a more situational one… but what if it majorly increased the chance of catching Pokémon? Have a specific Raid Pokémon you want but you hear it’s catch rate is impossible? Use Acreus’ Judgement Adventure Effect and you’ll never have to waste a Premier Ball again!
Well that was some ideas I had about the Adventure Effect mechanic. Does anybody else have any ideas for what could be done? I honestly just like conversation, so if anybody can come up with anything else, than I’m all ears.
Thanks for putting up with this essay of a post and I hope you all have good luck in your games.
Ciao4now!

Are you saying theres a possible chance that i could be making a post about My daily life, and the me from the evil dimension could like my post. Im blaming hoopa for this what the FUCK does this imply
Is it just me or is social media getting weirder. I remember like, five years ago it was all different pokemon trainers talking about their gym challenge or how they found a shiny pokemon, and every once in a while i find out someones apparently a pokemon hybrid, or a hyperintelligent pokemon, or a legendary in disguise, some regions terrorist that almost ended the world just casually posting like nothing happened, like. Did something happen. Am i just guillible now? no hate to any people like this im just so confused

Random Fact of the Day
Daily Pokémon that was randomly selected: Hoopa!
Did you know that in its true form, Hoopa possesses a huge amount of power? It is said to be able to seize anything it desires with its six rings and six huge arms, and has the power to bend dimensions to its will. In either of its forms, however, it has the ability to summon powerful Legendary Pokémon at will!
