you woke up rather early today, just in time to see steve before he went to work. something happened the other day, and you wanted to tell stevie all about it!

“oh my gosh, i have to tell you stevie! guess what!” you said, steve didn’t really answer but you were used to it anyway, “yesterday, i went to the mall with stacy! you know stacy, she’s like my best friend ever! and we had so much fun we ate ice cream and went shopping and when we were walking around the mall i saw the cutest—“

“baby” he said, a little louder than the volume you were speaking, “i really don’t care what happened with you and stacy, okay? i have stuff to do” steve said, and left the house

you stood there, tears brimming in your eyes, you did it again. you annoyed someone into leaving. why were you like this? why did you have to be so excited and get so talkative over something so stupid?

you silently went to the bathroom, seeing as you just woke up, you then went to the kitchen, and began making breakfast for you and eddie

sooner or later, eddie woke up, you knew because you felt hands wrap around your waist

“good morning, sweetheart” he smiled

you hummed in response, and he furrowed his eyebrows

“that smells really good” he said and you didn’t respond

he went to the bathroom, and you set the table, once he got back, he saw the look in your eyes, you were now facing him, and it was clear you’d been crying

“hey, didn’t you go out with stacy yesterday?” he spoke as he ate

you nodded

“how’d that go? you did come back looking excited”

you shrugged and continued eating

eddie looked at you for a moment before dropping the fork and knife

“okay, what the hell is going on?” he said, and you just furrowed your eyebrows, “don’t look at me like that, can you just talk to me like a normal person?”

“what’s wrong, eddie?” you said

“what’s wrong? wha—are you mad at me? shit—did you see the magazine under the bed? baby i swear i love your body that was before we all started dating i promise you i don’t use them i mean maybe sometimes but it’s only when you’re away i sw—“

“i didn’t know about that” you simply said and he realized he fucked up, “it’s fine eddie, it’s not all about me, yknow, you can see other magazines, it would be good anyway so you don’t get bored of me”

“okay, what?” he furrowed his eyebrows

“just forget it eddie” you said, eddie didn’t want to forget it, but he kept quiet for you

that was until he heard sniffling, he looked up from his plate only to see you crying as you ate

“hey hey hey, whoa, baby” he quickly got up and kneeled down in front of you to get to your level, “talk to me, sweet thing, what’s wrong?”

“i’m sorry—i just…i feel like steve doesn’t like me” you said

“what? of course not, steve loves you!” he answered

“but—today before he went to work, i wanted to tell him about what happened yesterday and he said he didn’t care and left…am i really that annoying?”

“what—no, no, no, you’re not annoying at all” he said, wiping your tears, “cmon baby, you know i hate to see you cry…why don’t you come and tell me what happened, i’m all ears”

sniffling, you had slightly calmed down, and with a light smile you nodded "so...yesterday, i went to the mall with...um stacy! you know stacy...yknow what its nothing-"

"no no hey..." eddie mutters softly as he caresses her cheeks, "i want to know everything...don't leave a single thing out, got it pretty girl?" he says in a low voice

you nod slowly, and look down before eddie lifts your chin up and you smile softly, "so...anyway she’s like my best friend ever! and we had so much fun we ate ice cream and went shopping and when we..."

you continued on with your story, telling him every single detail about what you did and saw and such, and eddie nodded, listening to you talk, smiling

soon, you had hopped in the shower, and steve had just come home, you made his favorite food, all ready and placed on the stove to be heated up when he comes.

eddie's eyes flickered to the door as he heard it, he slowly walked to the bathroom, slowly closing it so you don't hear anything outside, and turned to steve who was just sitting on the couch looking at the ground

eddie stood there looking at steve, steve didn't even dare to look up, he knew what he did.

"you had a good breakfast with her today?" eddie says and steve sighs

"i know alright...i messed up-"

"damn right you messed up. that sweet girl was crying because of it today." eddie says and steve looks at him, his eyes softening

"shit..."

"the fuck was going through your head-"

"clearly not alot!" he says and gets up, looking at eddie right in the eye, "im an idiot..." he says and turns away, "i love to hear her talk...i love everything about her...i was just stressed out..."

“don’t, steve. that girl has been nothing but an angel. you can’t take it out on her whenever some bullshit at work happens” eddie says, a stern look on his face, he pinched the bridge of his nose and muttered to himself for a second before looking back at him

“she made you your favorite. it’s in the kitchen” eddie points out and walks away, steve sighed, he felt like a dick

you soon walk out of the bathroom after you’d gotten dressed, brushing your wet hair and walking, to be met with steve sitting on the couch, leaned to the edge, elbows on his knees, his hands raking through his hair as he mutters to himself

she paused for a moment, steve glancing up at her, just as she was about to turn away he gets up

“shit—wait! please baby, please?” he says, almost pleading

you turn back to him, fiddling with your hands after you’d placed the brush on the table, “um…i made you your favorite…i’ll heat it up” she says and nods before he even replies and walks to the kitchen, before he grips her wrist, not harshly but firm enough to keep her

“will….will you please…please—tell me what happened yesterday?” he asks softly, eddie, who was nearby, crossing his arms as you just looked at him

“uh…i already told eddie so…s’okay” she says softly and steve shakes his head

“i’m so so fucking sorry baby—please, angel? i know it’s not an excuse but i was just pissed cause of work and i wasn’t in the mood—but i’m so sorry. that doesn’t mean shit! i love hearing you talk, about every little or big thing in the world, with that pretty voice of yours. i’m so sorry baby, i’m so sorry” he whispers, his voice trembling slightly, like he was gonna run out of breath if she didn’t forgive him

you just look at him, your eyes softening, eddie glancing at you, you nod and hug him

“s’okay…i forgive you stevie…it’s okay” you whisper as you rub his back, your touch was a balm to his soul…he’d felt awful this whole day

“see that, sweetheart?” eddie says with a grin, “this idiot can’t get enough of you! look at him! you don’t talk to him for five minutes and he’s about to cry” he says and steve deadpans him, you giggle with eddie, and steve finally budges and laughs with you

“so…are you gonna tell me baby?” he says softly and you nod as you walk into the kitchen to heat up the food, eddie and steve both sit at the table

“okay okay! let me tell you! so i was—wait wait! let me start at the beginning—“ you talked on and on and the two listened, a soft smile on their faces, even eddie who already heard this story before, but they both cant help it. they’ll listen a million times…they will never get tired of you

"I'm worried about you, you know." you placed your head in your hands, leaning your elbows on the table. "Really, it should be the other way around. You don't know this even though it should be basic knowledge." Tsukishima sighed, ready to go over the biology lesson with you for the hundreth time already.

"Do you get enough sleep? Your eyebags are looking a little big lately. Do you eat enough? You look stressed. You always tell me you're fine, but-"

"I'm fine." Tsukishima brushed you off, looking back at the notebook.

"What are you pouting like a toddler for?" when he looked back up at you, he was seriously baffled by the similarity of your face to a little kid who got refused to eat candy. Though, maybe, just maybe, he finds it kind of cute. Maybe.

"We're done studying." you got up from the dining table, placing your hands on your hips. "You do realise I'm only doing this because you asked, right? And you're the one still struggling with this subject, last time I checked." he furrowed his brows slightly.

"I won't be able to study in peace until I see you sleeping peacefully in bed after a good meal. We can start with the sleep and I'll cook something later!" you were determined to take care of him now. Sometimes your boyfriend's aloof attitude towards his well being and towards everything in general makes you worry. Whenever he replies with a simple "I'm fine" you must dote on him for a bit. That's the rule.

It looked like he was weighing his choices for a brief moment before sighing and saying "Fine, just don't come crying when you fail this test tommorow."

"Yaaaay, I'll be up in your room, ready to tuck you in!" you pecked his lips, spun around on your heels and ran upstairs to his room.

Tsukishima sighed, closing his notebook. When he looked to the doorway, his mom was standing there and smiling at him. He immediately tensed up, worrying about just how much of your conversation she heard.

"You know, your girlfriend would make a good mom. I'm just saying." Tsukishima's mom smiled at her son cheekily. He hid his face, not moving for a good thirty seconds before practically sprinting to his room.

He never did tell you why he looked so red upon arriving in his room.

"Is all of this really neccessary?" Suna raised one of his perfect brows when you placed another shirt in his arms. You took him out for a shopping trip today. Your shopping trips always end with him walking out the mall with a whole new closet instead of the other way around.

He always insists that he doesn't need new clothes or much of anything, but you always end up convincing him into a mall trip. You spoil him rotten, to be honest. Not that he minds.

"Yeah, how else am I going to keep you well-dressed?" you urged him to the dressing room just so you can clap excitedly at every outfit he puts on and models for you. He already looks like one, so why not take advantage of that, right?

"Okay, whatever you say, babe." Suna rolled his eyes playfully and walked into the changing room. You were squealing excitedly at each outfit he appeared in from behind the curtain like a crazy fangirl.

He didn't seem too enthusiastic about some of the outfits which made you sad but for the most part, you had loads of fun. He was taking a while with the last outfit, though. And you were probably overreacting, but you got worried.

You just can't help but worry for your boyfriend sometimes, even if it is unwarranted. It's kind of your thing. One time he accidentally cut his finger and you spent every moment together with him pressing get better kisses on it. You made sure he changed the bandaid every day, too. You were comically worried about him being able to attend volleyball practice. And that's just one of the examples.

So you pulled back the curtain.

"A little privacy, please?" Your boyfriend was standing in the changing room in all of his shirtless glory. You never really thought about it until now, but Suna is fit. You suppose it makes sense, considering he plays volleyball, but still. He was smiling at you cheekily, probably amused by how dumbfounded you look right now.

"I... um, it's... I was just worried about you! And put your shirt back on, you'll catch a cold!" You don't think you've ever closed a curtain as fast before.

You could hear Suna laugh to himself behind the curtain. "Sure, sure, mom. But I think you were just trying to be a little sneaky."

Well, you still ended up spoiling your boyfriend with new clothes that day, but you ended up with an accidental gift of your own, too. Maybe being a worrywart isn't that bad sometimes.

"Um, I can eat on my own..." Kenma gently pushed away your hand, which was holding food to his mouth.

"Oh, we both know you wouldn't eat at all if I didn't hand feed you. You seriously need to lay off the videogames sometimes." You playfully rolled your eyes, putting the piece of food back to his mouth. He sighed with exasperation and begrudgingly ate the piece of food.

"And besides, you know how much I love spoiling you. I can't resist when you're just... too cute." you pulled on his cheek like an overly excited grandma.

The thing about Kenma is, he hates that he likes being babied by you. When his mom used to do it, he found it overbearing and annoying, but when you hand feed him, it kind of feels comforting. Then again though, he can't focus on the videogame because of that. So that's why he hates it.

"I could go without the... ugh." Kenma was just about to beat the level, but you placing another piece of food in front of his face distracted him for just a moment, which made him get a game over.

"Oh..." you stared at the game over screen, suddenly feeling bad for being a distraction. You just can't help but want to baby him whenever you're with him. He doesn't exactly make it hard for you with the way he blushes and gets all embarrased every single time.

"Well then, I was just thinking you played enough videogames today. I propose we do something else." you pulled on Kenma's arm and he protested by giving you one of his iconic scowls.

"You'll get wrinkles if you frown too much." you reminded him with a gentle smile. He mumbled something you couldn't quite catch under his breath and reached for the controller.

"Oh no. No you don't." you tackled Kenma before he could do anything else. You know, if he wasn't so damn flustered right now, he would have been seriously mad. But when you smile at him like that, it's like his anger decides to get up and leave.

"Would you... umm, mind getting off me?" he was worried that he might overheat like his dad's poor laptop which he forced to run videogames far beyond its capabilities. Now he feels bad for that old thing.

"Only if you promise that we go for a little walk outside." he grumbled at first but ended up agreeing after you gave him a little kiss on the cheek as encouragement.

Shorter than usual sorry

The clouds outside suggested a thunder storm later on. There had been a lot of rain here lately anyways. I headed up the small walk way to Mikes home. Knocking ever so lightly.

Mike opened the door. His black hoodie and jeans on. His brown hair ruffled ever so slightly. “Hey come in.” His voice gave way that he was sleeping before I arrived.

I stepped inside and looked around as he closed the door. He was being quiet so I assume Abby was also asleep. Rain had that tempting sound to make anyone wanna fall asleep. Mike sure looked like he needed a good nap. Not in a bad way it’s just.. I always notice the bags under his eyes.

“You been doing okay?” He shot me a question as he walked to his couch to have a seat. I followed after and sat down beside him. A little too close this time. I felt our arms brush. I didn’t give much of a reaction just leaned away. But I could see the blush on Mikes face.

“Yeah I’ve been good. What about you?” I asked softly turning my head to him. He looked down at his lap before turning his head to meet my gaze. “I’ve been.. okay.” He answered as honestly as he could.

A small smile displayed on my face. I knew how hard he worked at this mall security job. How he tried his best to keep Abby. I was only the baby sitter but me and Mike had become friends. I would hope so at least. I’ve been watching Abby for about 6 months now.

“You know if you have a day off and just wanna sleep I can take Abby to my apartment. You need to sleep sometime Mike.” I patted his hand. I could feel him hesitate on wether to pull it away or not. Surprisingly he let it stay. Giving me a thankful look. His brown eyes were cloudy with stress, worry and other emotions.

“I’m here for you Mike. You don’t gotta be afraid to ask for help.” I whisper softly giving him a kind look. In turn seeing his face once again grow a darker shade of red. “Yeah.. thanks.” Was the only answer I got. I could see he was getting nervous. For what? I had no clue.

He leaned away from me and sighed. He didn’t move his hand though. Mine still sitting on top of his. He kept his there. Until Abby came out that’s when he moved it. That’s also when he said good bye. He was off to work. I just hoped he could drive safely in the rain.

It wasn’t unusual for Mike to call. He did it every once in a while. To say a shift of his has changed or that he needed you to come by early. Tonight was different. It was about 9 pm. Why is he calling?

I got up and answered my phone. Leaning against the wall and played with the coiled wire.

“Hello..?” I could hear Mikes disheveled voice on the other end. Was he crying?

“Hey Mike, everything okay?” Concern laced my voice.

“Umm.. no. Could you.. could you come over? Please..” he whispered. He must not want Abby to hear him. Which broke my heart more. How he tried to cover up his pain so his sister doesn’t see..

“Yeah I’ll be over in a few.” My answer was quick. I hung up the phone before he could say good bye. I put on my shoes and quickly rushed to my car. Driving the 5 minutes it took to get to Mikes house.

I make it to his house and slowly walk up to the front door. Before I could knock it swings open. Mike standing in-front of me. Sure enough. There were tears in his eyes. “Mike is everything okay?” I asked searching his face for any clues as to why he was like this. “Can you just.. come in?” He asked so quietly I almost didn’t hear him. I nodded and stepped inside. He closed the door and headed to the couch. Sitting down and letting his head lean back. I sat beside him. Closer this time. Our thighs touching, arms brushed against each other and shoulders close. He closed his eyes and softly cried.

For reasons unknown to me. He sobbed quietly. I slowly pulled him towards me. Saying it’s okay softly and pulling into a hug. He slowly accepted and wrapped his arms around me. His face landed in the crook of my neck. I could feel his tears hit my skin.

“Why are you crying Mike?” I ask quietly as I rub his back in a circular motion. “I keep having those dreams..” He said between sobs. Those dreams about his brother. You knew of them. How he used nature noises to sleep. How every-time he’d dream of Garret he was unsuccessful in saving him.

“I’m never gonna find out who did this to him.. I’m a failure and a terrible brother..” he squeezed me tighter. I almost forgot how muscular he truly was. Till now.

“You’re not a failure Mike. I know you’re not a terrible brother. Abby thinks you’re great. What happened with Garret was not your fault.” I soothed him. Slowly running hand up. Grazing it through his brown hair. He let out a small sigh. Leaning his head back to look at me.

“Thank you..” he whispered and stared at me. Debating on something. Was he going to say something else? His eyes displayed a fight in his mind. Of what I had no clue again. He was so difficult to read.

“Wanna know something funny?” He asked finally in such a strangely serious way. I nodded in response. “When I’m at work. It’s the last place I wanna be. I think about coming home and seeing you. Playing with Abby. Having fun. Cooking dinner. How that’s all I want.” He stared at me. His eyes having a admiring look.. why?

“What do you mean Mike..?” I ask softly. When did he get so close to my face?

“I’ve been wanting to ask you this for ever now.. our glances. Our hand touching. Sitting too close on the couch… how you ask to come over on Saturdays to play with Abby and they end with us watching a movie together..” he went on. Pooling out his emotions. His face was red. The tears had dried up mostly. “You comfort me and you make me feel.. something. Something I’ve been afraid of feeling for someone else..” he leaned closer. So close I could feel his breath.

“Are you mine?” He asked so quietly. His voice filled with sadness, heartache, and fear. He was scared. Scared of my reply. Scared this would be the end of the road. Not only would he lose a friend, his sisters friend, his baby sitter, but also the only person who’s made him feel happiness in a long time.

“You got me Mike.” I whispered softly. His lips sealed my reply with a kiss. Surprisingly his lips were soft. I titled my head a little. His right hand slid up to cup my cheek. Pulling me closer. The kiss wasn’t like any I’ve had before. This was a hungry kiss. From someone who’s never had this feeling. The pull he had on me was something else. The kiss became more urgent as it went on.

Everytime we’d pull away to breathe he’d pull me right back in. His lips moving in sync with mine. Before I knew it I was on his lap. Making out with him and running my hands through his hair.

The worries of his dreams, rent, custody battle, and work left him. He was in the place he wanted to me. With the one girl he wanted to be with. He deserved these few minutes of pure bliss.

Our lips unconnected and we stared at each other. Eyes lingering.

“Are you just mine tonight..? Or are you mine?” He asked this question in such a way it sent butterflies to my stomach. He was doubting this was real. But his voice was so low and his eyes were needy. He needed my reply to be a yes.

“I’m yours.” My simple reply gave him all he needed to kiss me again.

It was so slay to meet Claire @rhythmthlef Eiffel @thedevotionaltour and Sarah @ron-do-i-get-to-sing-my-way and to ofc be with my bff Alissa @taintmansion . Everyone looked so yass and slay and our group pic got on the insta story!

Also shoutout to @churippu who was so sweet and gave us the grooviest stickers in the merch line! I can’t wait to find a place for my sparkly suit Russell.

I NEVER go crazy at merch tables and have spent months not going to the movies, buying records, or eating out, so I got… 3 t-shirts, a tote bag, socks, and the pin set 💪 I love all my swag!

ofc last year in Chicago (same venue) was a bit more subdued all around energy wise bc it was still during COVID but the crowd was great this time. I wish we’d stood earlier (seated venues are like that sometimes) but the people in the front row were up dancing like crazy the whole time and other people were dancing in the aisles!

Those first few opening songs obviously went hard but I was LIVINGGGGGG during Beaver and Ron’s piano/Stevie’s drums in Nothing Is As Good As They Say It Is were fire. And Russell’s vocals in general jesus! How do u do that dude!!!

It Doesn’t Have To Be That Way has meant a lot to me personally for various reasons - mainly, I’ve felt weird and uncool my whole life and I find my passion in meaning in making art and using that art to connect with people who DO understand me - and so Russell was just introducing it and I started crying and cried the whole song 😭

Then cut to Balls when we NEEDED to get our fist pumps on!! ✊🟢

I love that they kept Shopping Mall Of Love bc people were screaming for Ronnie like it was Beatlemania. Love that bridge clapping also!

Toughest Girl In Town had one of the coolest arrangements eva god it was beautiful. And We Go Dancing went crazyyyyyyyy like I will never be that in shape in my LIFE

All That was worse than IDHTBTW like I started sobbing and couldn’t stop until they left the stage 😭 They just mean so much to me!!! And Ron made a lil speech thanking us and said “I know it sounds hackneyed but at this point in the night I can’t avoid sounding hackneyed” and I mean ofc they’d say this but they said “best Chicago visit yet” which was nice

The standing ovation after All That and the pic was like 3-4 minutes long and Alissa commented on it and Claire just went “I could go all night baby!” which like so true

I stood on my chair and still didn’t get in the pic but Ron was technically on top of me so 💪😌

Random asides: got so many compliments on my Ron outfit! Sparks fans are the nicest! When our group met in the Dunkin a nice blonde woman walking outside flashed me a thumbs up from the window and then she was front row. We actually chatted after and she said she was considering going to Milwaukee last minute. Girl do it!!!! And when I got to merch and said “okay let’s start with the tote bag bc i’m gonna go a little crazy” the person in the left half of the line laughed and was encouraging lol.

Alissa and I waited outside for about half an hour and I guess the guys had been whisked away long beforehand 😅 but we said hi to Evan and Max and they were super nice!

One of the best shows I’ve ever been to. Once of the most meaningful and profound. So glad I have a favorite band. So glad I have great friends to do it all with. Gee That Was Fun (real)

you and dustins relationship hadnt been the same after that. you watched as your brother seemed to forget about you, walking ahead with steve dropping raw meat on the train tracks. you shook your head and softly smiled shaking away the sad feeling bubbling in your stomach.

you knew you were being irrational at the time, dustin having another guy to talk to would be good for him. you watched with a small smile as the two interacted, the smile fading into a frown over the next 3 years.

dustin had always went to steve instead of you. anytime he wanted to go somewhere he always asked steve, he went to steve about advice for girls, he went to steve when he was upset. its like you weren’t even there anymore.

“i just feel like somehow you’ve gotten closer to dustin than i have been in so long. i mean hell i didn’t even know about suzie until you mentioned her last week! and last summer at the mall.. he immediately ran to see if you and steve were okay like i hadn’t been there too. sometimes i wonder if he would’ve even noticed if i ended up dead in there.”

dustin held a hand over his mouth listening and quietly cried. did he really do that? he thought about that night and remembered seeing you in the corner of his eye. you were watching as he ran over, your face falling as he quickly hugged steve and robin asking if they were alright.

he remembered getting home a week later, seeing you covered in cuts and bruises as you sat on the edge of the bath cleaning your wounds. he was gonna ask if you were alright after he came back from saying bye to the byers. he walked into his room and called lucas, asking if he wanted to bike together. completely forgetting about you when he came back.

he heard you hang up the phone and cry. he waited a minute before he knocked on the side of your door, listening as you sniffled and shuffled on the bed before saying it was open.

studying in momo's room makes you feel like a Victorian young lady studying moral philosophy, writing poetry about the mourning doves outside the garden window, and waiting for her husband to come home from sailing the seven seas

it's your Belle moment where she's in the royal library except it's every day

stacks of beautiful, old books

the smell of the crisp, white pages

soft classical music floating through the air

the window cracked open slightly

and you are the luckiest student in all of UA because you get to study with the smartest girl in the whole school

she's also gorgeous and sweet and perfect which def doesn't hurt

u know that joke that ur teacher can spend a year explaining something and u never understand but then a random indian guy on YouTube explains it in 2 minutes and you finally get it

she is that random indian guy

you will never struggle with a single concept after you start studying with her

And she's so proud of you for every little question you answer correctly

(even thought she's the one that explained it all so well in the first place)

she insists that neither of you study too hard and that you take lots of breaks to stretch

Like u started studying together and then all of a sudden you were almost at the top of your class

she's just so sweet that being with her gives you the energy you need to write that essay all in one sitting instead of procrastinating like a normal person

Shows up at your dorm with snacks and drinks to keep your energy up!! :D

even though she's still going to end up getting sleepy anyway later in the afternoon

You get most of your studying done at the beginning of your study date so it's not really a problem

you know she doesn't have a lot of money to be throwing around so you pay for dinner every night

It's usually takeout but sometimes you guys make your own dinner for fun!

it always turns out almost inedible and burned because neither of you were paying attention to the stove

don't let baku see it or he'll start screaming about how you need to try your best at everything so he can beat you fair and square and that includes cooking too

neither you nor uraraka can handle spicey food so you never eat what Bakugou cooks for the class

You grab a few bags of chips and some sushi and shut yourselves in your dorm to pull an all-nighter study session about once a month

it should make you tired but, again, studying with her is so enjoyable that you don't mind

u two enjoy each others company in studying so much that you sometimes read ahead in your textbooks just to be able to study more

overall, hanging out with her is just lighthearted and filled with giggles

and you just so happen to get all your homework done along the way

it's impossible not to smile when she's around so even if you have a huge exam tomorrow, all your worries fade away just from being with her
