Occasionally I picture Nightwing calling Red Hood "little wing" in front of others and people looking between this huge, 6'0 feet tall man with growing white hair, and then Nightwing, a shorter man who has flawless skin, probably around his 20's, and a fit but not too buff build and they just- don't know what's happening. Is it some kind of inside joke they aren't aware of? Why is Nightwing acting as if he's years older than Red-fucking jacked-Hood?

Nightwing: Little wing, you actually were decent in that fight! I'm impressed.

Hero, who was helping during this fight as well, listening in to the conversation: little...?

Red Hood: Wow, feeling very appreciated right now. Got any other backhanded compliments in there?

Hero: Wait, excuse me-

Nightwing: As a matter of fact-

Red Hood: Nope! I'm outta here. Screw you!

Nightwing: You know you love me!

Red Hood: In your dreams, dickhead!

Nightwing: Hey! We don't use that-

Red Hood: Not listening!

Nightwing: Jeez, kids these days...

Red Hood: I'm an adult and fuck you too!

Nightwing: What? Thought you weren't-

Red Hood: See you never, I'm out.

Vampire AU feat. Ansy

A little something funny after the last DxP update based on a silly convo I had with @nartothelar (also someone on IG commented they wanted to bite me for The Angst that happened so here’s your bitey revenge? XD)

Ingo would feed much more ravenously while hungry, but I can see him exercising some serious self control for his female friend with PTSD, taking only a bit so he can move again ;u; Meanwhile Ansy, like me, really doesn’t do well with things like blood tests (like getting hurt & bleeding is one thing, it’s a whole other thing to get her blood drawn or seeing someone’s blood being drawn T7T).

This quirk adds an extra silly layer to her friendship with vampire Ingo (& Emmet, when he’s also a vampire), especially when combined with her caring for her friends. Also yes, she ran from his & Emmet’s apartment to the blood bank & back, going “OH NO! OH NO! OH NO!” the whole way XD

(Also, personal HC: they always carry stuff to give any immediate first aid for willing “blood donors” - water, juice, snacks, warming pads, etc. Safety first!)

PS: I’d place this between the events of BW2 & Kalos, so before her pixie cut days, hehe.

Time. Worried about Wars.

Time. Worried about Wars. Time is worried about Wars- Time has to be so freaking scared for Wars I-

Warriors is going into his first dungeon which has challenges for how he should deal with it, and Time is stressed. Ima rant about it

At this point (update Entrance) Time is obviously... well, terrified. His concern for mr. stubborn after his injury is obvious and he wants to make sure it does not happen again

And his concerns are valid- they are all now painfully aware of their lack of skills in working as a team. And they are heading into a dungeon- where that instantly results in stuff like this lol

And then Wars openly says that he has never done this before

The group is obviously uhh concerned that he hasn't done this or had any dungeon experience

'No dungeon experience?' / 'Has he even seen certain monsters before?'

Time wanted to stay in a group for safety- but they have to split up. Dungeons are cramped and messy and small, and Wars is used to fighting on a battlefield - not this sort of setting

And they still joke around about it- and Wars instantly starts analyzing.

'Tell me. Give me the intel' / 'This isn't practical'

Honestly Wars' response to this is pretty cool- it's totally in line with who he is as a captain and hero. He instantly starts thinking about it and treating it as a different type of battlefield to figure out strategy. Also I think it's pretty cute that he said 'intel' even if he's grumpy about asking the others for advice and what a wallmaster is

Wars can handle it and learn what a dungeon's like- I think it'll be fun to see him go through his first dungeon :D

But. He's still never done a dungeon before. It will be interesting to see how that develops in this arc... and let's not forget he's pissed the shadow and his emo sword off before. This isn't where he fights best and Wars is particularly vulnerable in a major way.

Time was already stressed about mr. stubborn Twilight, but hearing that the captain, that Warriors isn't prepared for this is. Extra scary. I just think he must be really concerned for him- for all of them. And now mr. reliable is in a learning position and not a leading one

But these are his boys and he'll have to trust that they'll be ok. Therefore I think this was Time's thinking:

Time, thinking: "Dungeon. A dungeon oh this is dangerous- no one can get hurt-"

Wars: "can't say I've really been in one"

Time, absolutely sobbing internally: "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THE RELIABLE ONE"

One reason I think nicknames give me the ick for Payneland is that if a nickname was going to arise... it would have already? Charles is already so affectionate with Edwin like, he's not going to randomly shorten his name starting now!!!

when you say "christian kane almost died scene" do you mean that as in the character he plays almost died, or that the actor himself nearly died?

Christian himself. They talk about it in the commentary for that episode that the window he hits up against was not rated for that sort of impact, and had it shattered he would have plunged through. You can actually see it ripple ominously when he takes the gut punch.

Every time I feel anxious, I watch this video to calm me down. As each time, I try to concentrate on different jelly fish, the one who is actively pushing itself to move around, the one who is just passively floating with no efforts, the one who wants to eat the light, the one who can expand so big as serving plate, the one who flaunt it's ribbon legs and everyone's clover shaped reproductive organ and the colours changing around these moon jellies. I try to sync my breathing with them, they really helped me!

I noticed an odd thing while talking to one of my friends about nerdy prudes must die. for almost every character in the show who goes by a nickname/diminutive, she calls them by their full first name. peter. stephanie. maxwell.

One reason I really dislike the Leonidas thing btw is that there is just way in hell Esperanza Valdez, who was keenly aware of Leo being a demigod and everything that meant since he was born and was actively trying to protect him from being a hero for as long as she could, would make her kid share a name with a Greek king who died sacrificing himself. That makes no sense.

Esperanza would not name Leo Leonidas for the same reason Sally didn’t name her son Jason instead of Percy. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
