From this group I'm getting a lone wolf type of vibe. Not in the sense that you are surly or don't like other people, quite the opposite, it's more that you do your own thing and you always have. Group 2, I'm seeing that for those who this message is meant for, you are in a situation in your life/that you are witness to where there are chaotic or tumultuous circumstances at play that you can't physically do anything about. You want to, but you can't interfere. In my channelling before I pulled the cards, I did see the Tower card too & it ended up coming out. It's as though things are falling apart around you, but what I'm seeing is spirit wants you to protect yourself and your energy. It makes sense, since the picture you chose is a dark purple-y colour, and dark colours are associated with protection. Right now, wearing dark coloured gemstones or colours (eg. a dark purple shawl, a black tourmaline necklace, just wearing dark clothes) could be very beneficial and energetically aid this need for protection.

For some I'm getting that you are exposing yourself to a lot of darkness/negativity on the news or online hence the message that these are situations you can't do physically do anything about. For others this is something in your real life where things/people are falling apart around you in real time, and a part of you might be wondering if you should be reaching out and doing more.

The message here is to protect your happiness and in a sense, 'cloak yourself' from whatever this is. Trust your inner wisdom too. 'Leave it up to the universe', I'm hearing. While helping others is a noble thing, it's not your job to reach out and save everyone else in this storm. It's not pleasant to see, but at this stage it is important to focus on your happiness and maintain balance.

One thing about the Tower card, is that it'll be over eventually and oftentimes the metaphorical Tower was bound to fall all along. The Tower has to fall, the chaos and darkness has to break loose, for there to be a chance of rebuilding something better and understanding what went wrong.

Group 4, I feel like there is something you're trying to manifest, something you're trying to grow that involves other people/needing interconnectedness. For this group, I see there is something your inner child specifically has always wanted, and you are being encouraged to manifest it, to be honest with yourself about that desire and create that abundant life. It feels like there's this deep emotional need or craving, that wasn't fulfilled by the people around you growing up. A part of you is still kind of hoping that somebody else will come and fulfil that need, but I see it being important in your path that you walk away from depending on others to validate or help you in creating the life you desire. If others do help, that's awesome but the initiation is something only you can do. While you feel for the child in you who actually was dependent on what adults around you were willing to provide for you, now that you're older there is a need to realise that you are capable, intelligent, resilient, and worthy enough of doing it yourself.

This isn't to say you don't need people, everybody needs people to an extent & it is human nature to thrive in a tribal setting. In fact, I'm sensing for some of you that feeling you have a tribe is a part of what you are wanting to manifest for yourself. It's more that there is no need to wait around for somebody else to do it for you or give you the 'thumbs up' that this is the 'right' path for you.

You have the power within you to craft and structure this dream/desire. With this group, I am sensing there can sometimes be a tendency to blame others for what you do or don't have (no judgement here, we all do this from time to time) out of a place of resentment. Ooh, with this group I'm getting a very interesting message- it feels like you guys got a lot of your heavy karma in life out of the way at a young age, and the rest of your life is meant to be a bit more breezy. Of course there will still be challenges since that's a given part of life on Earth and how we are meant to learn, but you've already received the brunt of a lot of heavy stuff. Perhaps you feel very on guard in a way, since you're so used to that intensity it's hard for you to relax. You're worried everything will be pulled from under your feet again or change in an instant, but I'm seeing that spirit wants you to know that things are meant to be a little more smooth sailing from here on. From this group I do feel a lot of sadness in your past, a lot of heaviness and feelings of things not going the way you wished. hi pasta ! i’ve been a long time fan of you and your work, your writing is by far my favorite so far for matt that you’ve reignited me to write fanfics again ! i think you’re incredibly talented and so smart in your way of designing a story so vividly it just sparked my desire to to create again after my 30th reread of TRT. it is totally okay if you choose not to answer these but i have a couple of questions for writers? i have written fanfics before but they never came out to my liking (i never published them😅) so i’m looking to improve it and better my understanding of creating content that i like and am proud of!

the questions !! :

what are some things and tricks to writing lively, real dialogue? i find when i write sometimes my characters seem dull and cardboard like. i want it to flow naturally god dammit !

how do you go about characterization and staying true to it as your character develop and evolve? and to riff off of this question what is some additional research you would do to get the nature of your chosen character (ex, matt) right?

what are ways to better your writing? for example highlighting a characters complex emotions, describing the scenery around, detailed fight scenes and car chases, etc, etc. and not just them but silly grammatical errors and simple vocab. (i’m trilingual so it get a bit fuzzy remember all the rules of every language 😭) your foreshadowing game is just chefs kiss cuz you would sit on something and brush past it but it’ll make its comeback 20 chaps later, HOW??

and lastly, what is your advice to planning a long story? what are some steps you take to je respect the timeline of a show or a movie and how do you fit your OC into it? as well as making the OC’s backstory fit in. speaking of backstory and lore, i find it so hard to fit in believable, human lore to my OC and not make it super childish. i think you did such an interesting job with project beagle, the antagonist, the body swapping, the symbolism, etc, that it just feel so canon to me.

Oh my gosh, this is so sweet! I'm absolutely gd honored you love TRT this much, I'm so, so happy it could help make you want to write fic again! 😭😭😭 Seriously, one of the things that just makes me absolutely delighted is when something I've made could lead to more things being made in turn, cause I don't just love Matt and Daredevil and TRT, I love stories in general! The world needs more of them, so this is FUCKING AWESOME. And I'm happy to answer these questions as best I can!

Natural, lively dialogue: Ooooh this is a fun question I haven't gotten asked before I don't think. I won't lie, part of it absolutely the immersion with all the shows, movies, and books I take in. But there's another element I was taught in creative writing classes - the idea that sometimes you should read as a writer. That is: read while asking yourself, 'how did they do that? Why? How did they foreshadow this?' Etc. You can do the same thing with characters speaking and with people. Listen to how these characters speak, how similar people speak, and try to get a feel for how they talk. I'll use contractions as an example. Most people use contractions, for example (at least in the US), in natural flowing dialogue. It's shorter, it's more casual, whereas they might speak more formally (less contractions) in a professional setting like a courtroom or when they're really angry and speaking somewhat threateningly. They also might not use contractions for other reasons - in TRT Ciro tends to use fewer contractions when speaking English, both because he's a classy guy and because English isn't his native language (he learned it more formally). I also try to treat each character as having their own natural accent (which can also show a bit of their personality). Matt rambles when he's nervous, but his dialogue gets sharp and choppy when he's furious (Devil wants to act, not talk). Foggy loves metaphors and has a lot of swings up and down in tone for emphasis (Grew up a theatre kid). When Jane in TRT is feeling particularly cold, she starts dropping unnecessary words from her sentences so they're shorter (more efficient + trained to give immediate answers without flourish). Sometimes it can also help to listen to the dialogue you write or have it go through a text-to-speech program so you can hear if it sounds stilted, but I've found the ability to detect stilted dialogue is just something you have to practice!

Keeping true to the character while letting them evolve: this is ALSO A FUN QUESTION. Especially because something I was taught is that, generally speaking (always exceptions): a stagnant character is a boring character. They need to struggle with who they are, and grow or devolve as a person. They need to learn. I knew I wanted that to happen in TRT, so yeah, a big question was how I could show characters growing while also keeping them the characters we know and love. And for me it was about figuring out what the basic building blocks of those characters were, and making sure they were always present, because an apple pie should always, in theory, come out of the oven an apple pie, even if it's been changed some by baking. Things like Matt's struggle with his faith, the way he's sorta incapable of finding a middle ground between Devil and Matt Murdock, his refusal to ignore injustice, his trauma and fear of abandonment, his love of the Kitchen, his anger issues and the ensuing impulsivity, these are all building blocks for him. These do not change. What changes is how they manifest, and what he does with them. Matt learns he can trust Jane with his trauma and fear of abandonment. She helps calm his anger. The building blocks are all still there. Some of them just get arranged a little differently as he grows. Same with Jane and how she has grown. She's always going to have Hound Mode floating around in the back of her head. Security will always be her biggest concern, her motivator. She's always going to be the one who prefers to think and plan. She'll always feel a little weird about personal identity, and be able to flip through lies and false faces with the best of them. But she'll handle all of that differently as she grows alongside Matt. The plot is baking them, changing those pies in the oven, but their base ingredients are something I'm super careful to keep consistent. That I think is one of my secrets since this has been going on 8 years now!

Additional research for characterization: I am always, always, always going to recommend good psychology research (I loved this shit in college, especially developmental psychology, and fortunately there's a TON that's easily accessible online and doesn't require any classes). For Matt, that would be psychological things like... what does repeated abandonment do to a person when they're a kid? How does abandonment and parental loss shape their attachment styles and relationships later in life (hint: it's not great)? We know he has untreated depression, so what's going on in his brain considering he's pushing all that down? What would the day-to-day struggle being exposed to all that crime and pain do (research into things like the mental health of paramedics and social workers, etc)? Dissect these characters like little bugs, put them on your table, and try to figure out why someone would do what they do. Be curious, basically!

How To Improve In General: I LOVE THAT YOU BROUGHT UP MY FORESHADOWING FIRST OFF, I'LL ANSWER THAT IN THE NEXT BIT FOR PLANNING BUT. For me this is a couple things. The biggest one is reading, reading, reading. Read professional stuff in addition to fanfic. Read in your chosen genre. Read writers you want to write like! Read writers who are writing what you want to learn! And when you do, ask yourself how they did what you want to do. I have one book series that's my absolute favorite, I've read it over and over and over again. And it's very likely that someone who's read that book series and TRT would be able to spot the influence that book series has had on Jane's character voice, how I write action scenes, morally grey characters, etc. So that's where some of it comes from! For things like detailed emotions and sensations, my favorite book is The Emotion Thesaurus! I've found I don't need it as much now because I've gotten the hang of it, but it's still good to have there as a refresher. And for things like grammar and simple vocab, not only will reading help, but I'd also open the door to any fandom friends who might beta read for you! I've been writing fic since I was... hrrgh, quite young. And I'm super grateful for the betas over the years that would go over my fic and leave notes - notes not just on what they had changed but why: why they changed this punctuation, why they broke up this sentence, why they capitalized this or lower-cased that. That helped a ton! But yeah, when in doubt, grab an author you love and open it up and go, '...Ok, so how did you do this???' Also holy hell, you're triilingual so you already get a TON of kudos here on learning how multiple languages work, YOU GOT THIS.

Planning a long story: now's the part where I make people groan but the biggest advice is to outline, I know a ton of us heard it in school and ignored it because pfft but THE OUTLINE REALLY IS IMPORTANT. This is how I was able to foreshadow things ages in advance - I knew what was coming in the future so I was able to leave breadcrumbs earlier on. This also meant I was able to figure out how certain dominoes would tip (like when TRT's original plotlines would change something in canon) or when there were gaps in Daredevil's timeline that I could neatly settle into. Knowing the entirety of the story and having it all laid out also meant it was easier to change things or work to make sure TRT fit into the Daredevil/Marvel Universe like a puzzle piece. That was one of the steps for me both when it came to respecting the timeline (not that you need to! That was a personal choice for me) and with making sure the lore all fit in. I love the Marvel universe, have since I was a kid, so I was able to tap some of their fun recurring tropes and themes (Evil scientists, secret government projects, Mutants/Enhanced characters in hiding) and instead of trying to make it new, I tried to do my own spin on it instead because I know this sort of thing already exists there, and threw in some of the other general genre tropes I enjoy (love me some symbolic otherworlds and psychic connections). I think for an OC like this, that's sort of the key. Their backstories will fit because they're built on power structures and building blocks that already exist. It's just about finding a little section that hasn't been told yet. That's where this type of OC flourishes: in these little gaps between walls and load-bearing pillars, a story and character you wouldn't find all that unusual if they popped up as a side character in canon, all to explore some part of the world that hasn't really been fleshed out yet. AND if desired, I think there's something to be said for matching just how grounded/fantastical your show/movie is. Daredevil is very, very grounded. People get hurt. They die. These aren't Avengers-level Gods who can take a lightning strike. So I respected that with Jane, who gets hurt... fairly often, tbh. I also leaned into, yet again, a story gap in that while a lot of the people running around with the Devil (Frank, Elektra, Stick, Jess and Luke, etc) are GOOD at fighting, Jane's specialty is NOT fighting, generally, even if she's pretty damn good with a gun and quick with her knife. Her specialty is getting away, so it gives us new things to explore in terms of threats and fight scenes!

I hope all of this helps! Everyone gets better with practice, so don't be afraid to put your stuff out there! God knows I've got old fanfic floating around the internet, and a lot of my early stuff wasn't anywhere near what TRT is. But I also couldn't have gotten to TRT without writing it, posting it, and learning from it. <3

Maybe Dick convinced her not to "work" [on a schedule for someone else] so they could spend more time together and so she wouldn't fill her little head with things like forced labor or bills. In modern society its now believed that the only way to get self respect is to be a working woman. Why cant we stop telling woman to be something? Staying at home, raising or not raising kids, focusing on your passion and loving your husband ( future husband too) is just as acceptable as going to work( if you can find a man like dick ofc). you do work hard, you did have a degree or not depending on your circumstances and you are genuinely working towards your goals. Ahhh, I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense, but I'm curious to know what changed Hajime/Izuru's mind in the universe your art takes place in? Like, what made him go from not caring about anything because everything was boring and meaningless, to trying to enjoy life?

I don't really remember what it was in the anime, but it was probably hope. And like, that makes sense if you think about it, considering that's the definition of hope, but hope doesn't usually just happen like that, you know? Especially not to someone who probably had never felt it since the whole Ultimate Hope thing (ironically). In my mind, it's hard to imagine what it could have been, considering nothing ever phased him. I know that whatever gave him hope doesn't have to be that deep, because that's how it is sometimes, but I was wondering what you think it could have been (or more importantly, what you consider it to be in your art)!

Also, this is kinda unrelated, but I find it so cool how much your art makes me really think about the characters. It's amazing how you're able to really see how you've fleshed out the characters through you art, and honestly, you are probably one of my favourite artists because of it.

But anyway, sorry about this long and random rant 😭 Idk why I spend my time analyzing the character and point of view of fictional characters, but I guess sometimes the ADHD brain goes brrrrrr.

depends on the universe! But I'll assume you mean my general post-game stuff.

I've said it somewhere before so if it's old bread to you bear with me, but basically, it was a genuine dedication to face the big horrible awful feelings that come with trauma and life in general, and also the brain boost of getting to skip the slow growing part even for just a while.

My idea is that Izuru and Hajime are not two separate identities, rather, an amnesiac and horribly traumatized boy was given a moniker he didn't care to accept or deny. It's not like he had any other name to go by. That was Izuru Kamukura.

The brain has these neural pathways of how it responds to things, and his all got burnt out so he could respond with an appropriate talent each time. As a very simplified example, someone might respon to threat with the Flight response, because it worked in a dire situation and the brain decided "that saved us, this is how we will respond from now on".

Hajime, in the game, gets a sudden bump out of those pathways, enabling him to feel things properly and be fully present in his life. Thematically, the big Super Sayian moment is him deciding to not fall into old, but true and tried, brain patterns, and instead taking on the horrific experience of being human, with all the messy Emotions and Failures that comes with it.

When he wakes up from the game, he still struggles, but the artificial boost from his old thinking as well as a conscious, strenuous, painful effort to not repress himself anymore but instead face the things that he did and were done to him, make him able to carve himself into a new Him.

Not the same, in the sense that WHO could say they're the same as they were before a simulated murder game that revealed that you were a killing machine terrorist and so were your friends. But the same as in, he's Hajime Hinata and he decides what exactly that means. To want is an emotion, and he wants to become someone who can experience life fully, and chasing that single feeling of Want opens up the doors to everything else. You might've heard this before but "before you change, you have to want to change".

So in short. What enabled him to get Hopeful so to speak was the combination of a brain kick (you could call that a metaphor for outside help), and a concrete decision to try to do the difficult but right thing. Sounds kind of boring maybe, but everything else comes later - like his interest and care for his friends, an enjoyment of philosophy and the arts, a pleasure from being useful and helpful, a serenity from accepting things as they are, and a thrill that comes with strong genuine emotion (from my own life, sometimes a single moment of !!!! can carry you on for months).

Yes the whole thing is a metaphor for getting better with mental health stuff. It's personal to me okay 😂

(also I like the idea from Miggys fic that his human connections override the apathy and distance so as long as he's around the people he loves he can hold onto what keeps him going)

I love thinking about and building on characters too! Spending tons of time inspecting them like a specimen 🤝 people (and therefore characters) are very interesting to me so I just like rolling them around my brain. Thank you for your interest and kind words!

i fucking love this question, but there's no easy answer to it. i guess i'm gonna have to try tho, because sometimes i feel like maybe some of you don't really understand WHY i totally changed my entire blog when clancy came out (it's kinda like me loving this band was my biggest secret for such a long time, idk. i still remember how a few months before it i've mentioned something and anix literally yelled at me like "WHY THE FUCK YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU LIKE TWENTY ONE PILOTS" lmao. anyway).

first of all, no one has ever made me feel so seen and understood. there's real magic in tyler joseph's lyrics, you might hate me for what i'm about to say right now, but speaking of tortured poets - for me it's not taylor, it's tyler. and the scariest part of it all is that i very often relate to his lyrics. but that's also beautiful - it's therapeutic in a way. so when clancy came out and i realized i relate to pretty much EVERY song on this record, i just thought to myself, oh lord, how did i survive this long without their music. it's always been them for me. i will never abandon them again, i swear.

second thing, the lore. you all know i'm a slut for stories told through music (*cough* musical theatre *cough*). also, if the plot of the story is complex and weird as fuck, there's a pretty big chance it will become my favourite thing in the world. the entire lore is an insane metaphor for mental health struggles so, obviously, i can find a part of myself in it. i would die for their lore, honestly. it's all i can think about. and clancy will always be my fucking blorbo.

another thing i love a lot about them, and it's something you don't really see if you don't watch their interviews or live performances, they are literally just two dudes. both josh and tyler have always been very anxious and awkward and weird and that's what makes them more human in my opinion - just two fucking idiots who are best friends, lmao. they are so relatable in every possible way. they are also the funniest dudes in the entire world. and their friendship is so fucking beautiful. the only difference between us and them, truly, is that they are extremely talented and they have their own band.

also, they care about the clique so fucking much, this was probably mentioned on my blog before (maybe even today in a previous ask). they don't care about the charts, about awards, about anything really, all they care about is their music and fans. they don't do it to be the best band in the world. they do it to save lives - our lives as much as their own (if it wasn't for this music i don't know how i would have fought this). and that's what makes them different and honestly, better than the other artists.

they are also pretty much unproblematic. i wasn't really sure if i should mention that, but i feel like i need to. tyler joseph made one stupid mistake a few years ago - the way people reacted to this still breaks my fucking heart. he realized he was wrong tho, he apologized. the other day i saw a post here on tumblr about how he's fucking problematic and racist and the worst man on the planet etc etc. can we... fucking stop, please. it was just a stupid joke and he knows it was dumb and unnecessary. most people wouldn't even apologize, but he did. end of story. i will defend him with my life (not saying he is perfect, but shit, if you want to cancel him for one mistake maybe you should look at yourself first).

With Instagram suddenly diving into the AI hay wagon head first full speed I feel like people need to be reminded about something.

ofc warnings for talk about AI and AGI but this is a hopecore post because i'm tired of the fearmongering

From my own personal look into the state of things, AI is starting to look more like a scarier version of NFTs so I choose to believe it's going to fall harder than they did after this high point. NFT's died out when the markets crashed due to courts coming in and commenting on the legality issues in their economy and cryptocurrency. Once they didn't make a good enough profit anymore and the get rich quick scheme died out so did they into obscurity.

I believe AGI and AI as a whole will soon have their theft of content and data exposed to courts or some sort of more powerful folk, like what happened to NFTs after the art theft with that one artist, and we'll see the models quickly fade out and return to just being chatbot partners for the losers who live in basements and swear their ape JPEG is still relevant and profitable.

And if I'm wrong they can't legally stop us from making art nor can they stop us from making counter programs that poison their models, lil reminder that those do exist and some programs are starting to put those into their stuff so you can easily poison your art in the program. It doesn't matter how advance their models get because since the renaissance an artist's main supporter were other artist's. As long as we continue to make and do what we love to do and support one another then that's all we really need.

So, I propose a form of counter attack.

Go to your local stores and look into making a business deal with them to sell your art or offer to produce advertisement flyers, signs, whatever they need. That way you get your art out there and you're supporting other folk struggling in this capitalistic hellscape.

Using the funds you get from that, go through commission pages and support your fellow artists. If you can, try and find the younger or beginner artists to support. We often look over them and they deserve as much support and encouragement as the experts.

And of course don't forget to share around commission ads as much as you can. The only form of advertisement we get is from us reblogging each other's stuff or recommending one another to other folk.

A large reason as to why artists aren't getting support against AGI right now is because of the public eye seeing us as nothing but a bunch of nerds who draw anime all day. We need to prove that we're people with a passion in this stuff and how we're useful. We also need to speak out how most of us are neurodivergent and careers in art are what fits for us best since it plays into our interests and our skills are best equipped for this.

In summary, don't lose hope. The moment you start talking about how advanced AI is and how nobody is supporting us you're basically saying you give up and that is not how you should ever think about anything. In the theme of pride, when everyone else is against you remember that there are others like you who will continue to support and protect you no matter how long it takes for things to get better. Those who led the queer revolution didn't quit when they were being threatened or detained, they kept on leading the parades and now we have openly queer characters and people in mainstream media. Change happens, sometimes for worse, but time and time again do I see that what is right will always come back on top.

I choose to live through this artistic struggle of an era with hope that in the end human produce media with love and passion and talent will come out on top and prove it's worth over artificially generated content. Even better, I keep hope that after this obstacle for us all it will only go to show our resolve and the public eye will finally look at us with awe at the strength and determination that we have.

Art by human hand has existed since we lived in groups in caves as our first form of communication and it still is such. Stories are told through art, messages are delivered through art, and that is something a robot can never recreate no matter how much techbros want you to believe it can. We are some of the most important and strongest people to be on this planet because we are a community of people who have struggled so much that our understanding of human emotion allows us to put that into images made with ink, pencil, pixels, words, sound, voice, whatever medium you may use. We are masters at what makes us human, communication and complex thought and emotion, and that can't be taken away from us.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS BLOG

About this blog/me:

I am a smut writer, I write smut, erotica, porn if you will, stories that usually center around sex. I do sprinkle in some plot and a bit of character development from time to time, but mostly I write explicit sexual content. Why? Because I like to, it's fun, it's what I'm good at.

Weirdly enough, I've identified as asexual/aromantic/aego for a long time, so I live vicariously through the characters in my head. Being aroace doesn't stop me from being horny though or fantasizing about the kinkiest shit imaginable. And that is what you're going to find here. Mostly kink, leaning heavily into the BDSM side of things (written by a non-practitioner, might I add). Sometimes I do write fluff or angst or about “normal” couples/partners too.

I do have some preferred tropes/topics/kinks, which you may come across in most of my stories, but also some hard/soft limits (see below). Aside from that, I am open for anything and always enjoy dipping my toe into new waters (writing this I want to remind you that English is not my first language, I was born and raised and live in Germany, and sometimes I do end up with strange translations in my head, so please forgive me for that!).

By the way, I am also open for requests. Just send me an ask, anon or not, share your prompt or idea or whatever else you like to have explored, and I will try my best delivering (also note that I am no longer an active part of any fandom, so my characters will most likely be unnamed/anonymous/neutral). As mentioned, I write explicit smut, very explicit (if words like cock and cunt make you uncomfortable, my writings won't be for you. Kindly move on!), I love details and I can write you a 5k words sex scene no problem (maybe I have a problem and just can't write anything shorter, though I tried with my Smut Drabbles).

I also like to write Reader-Inserts, though I will never use y/n (or mc). In fact, most of my stories won't even have named characters. I do like the challenge of just using pronouns (it isn't as complicated when there's just a he and a she/you). Speaking of pronouns, I do focus mostly on male/female relationships, I do have one wlw story, and am currently writing a m/f/f series.

When it comes to Reader (who's female/afab most of the time), I usually keep her neutral, as neutral as possible, but I'm not perfect and can't always think of everything. I still hope you enjoy what I write, even if you can't perfectly project yourself into my stories.

What this blog used to be/my humble beginnings:

This blog was created in June 2023 when I took a deep dive into the Hogwarts Legacy fandom, my first proper fandom experience. Being immersed and surrounded by so many talented writers and artists really fueled my desire to write again, and lo and behold, I did, a lot, so much actually, more than I've been writing in almost twenty years.

I have been writing fanfiction since 2005, had a good run for five to six years, then stopped writing altogether. I tried my hand at original fiction in between, in German, which, in the end, limited me too much. I didn't want to write just another crime story or psychological thriller (which seems to be the most popular genre in Germany...), I needed more.

I was always more focused on love stories, or rather stories with love in them, because weirdly enough I was never a big fan of romance books. I needed an edge, drama, some contrasts, not your typical A falls in love with B and there's rainbows and sunshine and unicorns everywhere. Boring. (No hate if you do enjoy these things, it's just not for me!)

And so I embraced it completely when I fell headfirst into the world of kink (figuratively ofc).

It may weird you out that I wrote my first explicit smut pieces about a teenager, but those were my beginnings. Sebastian Sallow was my muse, so you'll find a lot of stories and one-shots centered around him on this blog. I later leaned more into the teacher/student trope and focused on Aesop Sharp, and by doing so another love of mine came back to me: the older man/younger woman trope.

My first attempts at original fiction were centered around age gaps. I always had a strange fascination with the topic. Anything goes in fiction, and I do enjoy things most people would frown upon. But this is a safe place, for me, for you, for anyone who's open to these kinds of things. If you've read this far, thank you, I appreciate you, and I'm happy you found this corner of the Internet. Ironically he does like someone French, especially if you can speak the language. (Loves gossiping in French and German, again if you know the language.)

While he is more than willing to talk about bugs and animals (He knows a surprising amount of facts.) he’s also like you in the regard of not being around rodents. Cannot stand them but will talk and let you talk.

Only watches you do your bug hunting, just keep the spiders, beetles and anything else you catch away from him.

Definetly isn’t the best artist himself but he can recongize talent when he sees it. So he’ll often compliment your works, whether it’s your drawings or writing.

He is a drama / theatre kid 100% and I will die on this hill. So he is probably the best person for all your acting needs.

Doesn’t really mind your forgetfulness, it’s gotten you both out of some trouble over time. But he will also laugh at you for forgetting some basic information.

Does his best to help you with the things you don’t like; Keeping you away from the problems, the loud noises, rodents, swimming etc. (If you ever tell him a texture you don’t like, he will get rid of it immediately.) Thank you @artsyunderstudy, @facewithoutheart and @nausikaaa for the tag! So, it's that time again, huh? Well, some things have changed since I last did one of these, so here goes.

How many works do you have on AO3? 35 but one was a group fic (Birthday Man). So technically 34.

What’s your total AO3 word count? 957,040 - 39,132 for birthday man (not going to try to figure out how many words my chapter in that fic was) = 917,908. So close to that million words!

What fandoms do you write for? Carry On only.

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Always. I can't say my responses are always inspired because, just like in real life, sometimes I just don't know what to say. But I always reply, because I know for myself how hard it can be to write a comment, so I want to honor that. That, and I'm really truly grateful for everyone who takes the time to tell me what they liked about my work!

Have you ever had a fic stolen? No...my fics are pretty long and specific, it'd be really hard to pass something of mine off as someone else's. I know it hasn't happened on AO3, though I can't speak to Tumblr or other platforms, since I don't spend much time there.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, Birthday man, of course. And the Star Trek Redemption series is a lovely collab with many talented people. But also, I consider all of the many artists I've worked with co-authors, because so much of what I write comes from bouncing ideas off of them and being inspired by their art. 8. What are your writing strengths? Hmm...I think I'm good with blocking, because I visualize my stories in my head before I write them down, so I'm good about knowing where characters are in space at all times. I'm also pretty good at characterization? And while my fics aren't usually laugh-out-loud funny, lots of comments point out things that are amusing, so I guess I write humor fairly well. Definitely good at scientific background stuff, of course. I don't know, other than that.

What are your writing weaknesses? Plot, plot, plot...not that I don't write decent plots. I think I do. But it can take me hours of dwelling on how to get characters from one plot point to the next. I tend to plan a fic in broad outlines and leave out minor details, and then I get bogged down in the details later. Other than that? I have trouble with witty banter. I can do dialogue, but I struggle with, for example, coming up with amusing insults for Baz to use on Simon. It just doesn't come naturally, because in RL, I'm the type who thinks of the witty response hours after the conversation ended!

Oh, also I suck at continuity. I constantly have to go back and read earlier chapters because I can't remember what I already had a character do or say.

the ogs remember the poll i ran like a month ago about if ike should have freckles or not. shoutout to the landslide victory, if i remember correctly 97% of voters wanted ike with freckles! so glad that worked out, it works so well with the star theme and the difference between an online friendship meeting irl, and how reader loves them because it's a reminder that they have so much to learn about ike and are ready/willing, and also, freckles are just plain adorable. ike is just plain adorable. put them together and if i were richer and thirstier i'd be commissioning an artist

in moments of weakness it triggers something in him to bury his face a little deeper in his blankets, pretend the screen's light would cool the heat pooling over his cheeks, and search the hashtag himself.

not even three pieces of fanart later, he has to throw his phone face-down on the mattress, cover his blush with a pillow, and now he's definitely squealing. it's healing and it makes him ill. it's... pretty. you're pretty. and he's pretty dumb for letting a silly crush distort itself like this.

the worst part is that some of these line up a little too well with daydreams he wanted to lock away until the end of time. he likes when he takes the lead. the stunned, puppyish expression so rare it only shows up on your face during the biggest plot twists during a stream, but coated in a darkened blush as he pecks them on the cheek, elegant and composed. calm.

ohhhh, this can't be good for his heart. especially when ike himself is so red-faced just thinking of it. calm, his foot.

still with the pillow over his flush, ike feels around for his phone and sets it on his nightstand. he chides himself. that's enough internet for the day, eveland! now quit acting like a shoujo high schooler in love and go to bed already, it's not going to happen!

he sets his face into a determined frown as he lifts the pillow and sets it aside. with any luck, he'd go the rest of the night without thinking of reader and his feelings for them.

the frown eases as he nestles into his blankets and tucks himself in. soft sheets and warm comfort greet him as he shuts his eyes, and he enters the fluffy haze of sleep as he slips into dreamland...

...is what he'd like to say, but not even ten seconds later his eyes snap open and jerks upright in bed. wait, i'm acting like i'm in love?!

he sits with the thought seeping through his brain like a corrosive acid, filing through every little moment he daydreamed about you, and when those don't paint him a picture he likes, he tries to recall the moments he shared with you instead. those are even fonder, and even worse.

I usually like and enjoy listening to hip-hop, so I'd like to try hip-hop if possible! Or I'd like to try EDM too!

I was worried at first, but I was confident, so I practiced hard and had a lot of fun on the show!

I remember all our concerts, but I want to go to America where my parents are and have another concert!

I think that if you ignore the nuances of the things that you’re criticized for no reason and just focus on the helpful content, negative comments are also good feedbacks.

It was an experience that gave me a sense of accomplishment in challenges.

I want to go on concert tours at various places!

What do you personally love studying about art history?

I apologize if that sounded a bit too blunt. I find it fascinating to examine and analyze history through the eyes of artists who had lived and witnessed everything during those periods. They speak to us at the same level as the historical records and books, perhaps more sometimes. I would like to ask you to tell us a little bit about your own thoughts. What made you pursue art history? How did it click in your head that it was the right path for you? 🦭🤍

Also, it's kind of off-topic, but I wonder how people will remember us in the future (if humanity survives that long) and what they will deem of us, especially now that there is an overwhelming minimalism in almost EVERYTHING. I'm not even going to talk about AI; it's a disaster. Progress in technology is good and all, but I hope AI dies quickly. It's not ethical. And I don't think we, as humanity, have the virtue to handle such power wisely. I'm afraid it will cause a lot of harm.

And yet, despite everything I said, I think there are a lot of talented artists out there. Besides, they have more freedom in comparison to the past. The bad thing is that they are either not given the right opportunities to thrive, they put their passions aside to gain better money (people are getting increasingly poorer every day in most countries 🫤), or their families pressure them to choose other career paths. It makes me so upset that there are still some people who do not realize the importance of art to humankind. It's not merely a form of self-expression or simply a way of entertainment. It is the very proof of our existence. If we ever go extinct, what's left of us will remain behind for a long time here.

What do I love about studying art history? I like the arts in general, but I was not interested in studying them in a more practical sense, which is why I did not want to study art alone. I am also very interested in history, as you already know since we have had this conversation before, haha.

I never decided that it was “my path” or anything; I originally wanted to study something else. However, some situational complications arose, and I would have had to wait two whole years without doing practically anything, which I disliked. So, I enrolled in art history, and that is pretty much the whole story behind it. I also considered philosophy, but art history is definitely easier to pursue with less effort (Berry… you do not know how lazy I can be).

But what do I actually love about art history? I enjoy analysing things in general… a lot. Through art history, I get to explore the evolution of art, connecting with the emotions, thoughts, and cultures that have shaped civilisations. It gives me a profound sense of continuity with those who came before us, creating an emotional bridge between past and present. I think that art speaks directly to the essence of human nature, offering insight into the fears, joys, dreams, and struggles of its creators. I also think that it is a way to understand the complexity of the human soul and how it transcends time and place.

That said, when I visit museums to study specific aspects (which you need to do quite often as an art history student), I cannot help but feel overwhelmed by the emotions evoked by certain paintings. I do not experience this with architecture or sculpture, though. In addition, I have an obsession with beauty in general, so it all seems to connect. I also enjoy spotting patterns and making connections with my own rather wild theories by analysing art pieces, haha.

My take is that humanity will likely survive, but nothing will be as it was before. I suppose it would be more accurate to call it a transformation rather than survival, haha. Looking back through history, it is clear that humanity has always evolved in one way or another, for better or worse, and nothing has ever remained the same. Future generations will likely see us the way we see people from past eras now (I think?😭).

I do not wish to sound like a pessimist, but look at history—when has humanity ever possessed great power without abusing it? I do not know if it will cause harm, but I see it becoming the “norm” rather than a controversy in the near future.

That said, unfortunately (acting as if ChatGPT is not my best friend at this point, haha), I do not think AI will die. Or at least, if it does, something AI-like will simply take its place.

Why do you consider it unethical, if you do not mind me asking? If you are referring to AI-generated art, I absolutely agree. Besides, I do not see the point of it. It would make far more sense to use AI for tasks humans do not enjoy and let people create their own artworks. I am not sure what purpose it is supposed to serve.

I agree with your take on minimalism because that is not my vibe either. I do not see why anything needs to look/be so soulless.

I understand where you are coming from. Perhaps we should… take over the world? Not that anyone else is doing a better job than we could, haha.♥️

like y/n in my head is olivia rodrigo coded. like her having a specific brand (very romantic, lovey dovey) when she was on disney channel (and maybe was asked to lean into really hard) as opposed to guts/sour which is so.....emotional/ jealously/rock that's kind of the vibe I get from that character (or at least where we are headed)

historia in terms of aesthetic/character is sabrina carpenter and taylor swift. sabrina carpenter in terms of aesthetics/looks (she is very much the beauty standard, the dream girl, nonsense outros) and in terms of character is taylor swift? like she's a relatable but there's a part of her that's always going to be untouchable (for taylor that's just cuz I think she's a billionaire/very detached from reality, but for the character that just stems from being so deep in the whole industry type thing that she kind of forgets what matters sometimes)

gabi in general reminds me of billie eilish, in terms of where her character will go. I wanted to include the real life hate that gabi as a character got in the show into the story, but I also feel like that hate sometimes is given to billie eilish. to the point where when she wins grammy's she's apologizing bc she feels like she doesn't deserve it, but at the end of the day...she's one of the most talented artists in our generation? what was I made for? bad guy? happier than ever? they were all phenomenal. gabi can be a great actress but she'll never feel like it!

Mkani Kano/Meros - first reunion after a long absence

I don't know these two very well so this is a bit more generic than I'd like, but I hope it works!

It had been too long.

Kano barely tasted the fine food and wine at supper. His lord liked to mark the occasion of any major reunion with his sons, and tonight was no exception. The grand feasting chamber of the Red Tear echoed with laughter and pleasant chatter.

When he caught Meros' eye across the room, his heart ached. He felt a little foolish. Lovesick, the poets might say. He wanted nothing more than to embrace him, enfold him in his arms and not release him until the morning. They had not had a chance to speak yet. He kept his thoughts carefully shielded, though he could sense his brothers' curious glances at how quiet he seemed.

He glanced up again, and almost dropped his fork. Meros was smiling shyly in his direction. He cleared his throat. He quickly returned the smile, then focused on his plate.

Later, the tables were cleared to make space for music and dancing. Another tradition. Kano sensed pride on the air from those of his brothers talented enough with their chosen instruments to play tonight. They struck up a familiar melody from Baal, one of Sanguinius' favourites. Music of celebration, of triumph over adversity. The playful notes warmed him and he soon found himself nodding his head to the rhythm as he watched the dancers. He did not usually join, content to observe. Pairs of his brothers spun about one another in fluid motion, weaving together and apart like an artist's rendition of battle. Sometimes they clasped hands and laughed together. He saw two seamlessly intoduce a third into their routine, not breaking step for an instant. At his table, Sanguinius was talking animatedly with Azkaellon and Raldoron. He wondered if the primarch would dance tonight. And with whom.

"Excuse me, brother."

He looked up, startled from his reverie. And there was Meros. Still with that slightly shy smile. Exactly as Kano remembered him up close. (It has only been half a year, he reminded himself. Only.)

"I wondered if you would do me the honour of joining me to dance?"

Kano blinked. Meros' eyes were lowered, his cheeks a little pink.

He wanted to say yes. His feet seemed frozen to the tile, however. It was not that it was not done - there were several pairs already on the dance floor to attest to that - but to have their first contact at reunion, hand in hand, be so public, so new -

Next to him, one of his brothers gave a drawn-out sigh. "Go on, Mkani. Unless you want to keep mooning over him from a distance all evening."

"Oh," he said. Not as discreet as they'd thought, then.

A friendly push to his shoulder and he was on his feet. His hand found Meros'. It was warm in his own as they moved to the middle of the floor. He breathed in, and took Meros' other hand, briefly squeezing them both. Meros' eyes shone.

They began to dance together. Here, as elsewhere, their rhythm was perfectly complementary. They came together and apart, unable to keep from smiling. Kano raised Meros' hand high above his head and, laughing, Meros took a graceful spin beneath.

His hearts felt so full. The crowd seemed to melt away, leaving only the two of them. Meros was beautiful. He spun him once more, and at the end of the movement wrapped his arms around him.

"I have missed you so," he murmured in Meros' ear.

Meros pulled back gently. The flickering candlelight reflected in his eyes.

"Not so much as I missed you."

Kano smiled. The only thing left to do was kiss him. So he did.

If the noise of the chamber hushed by a degree when their lips met, he did not notice.

It was only when the song ended that their surroundings faded back into focus. They parted, flushing. Kano's lips already felt bereft. Meros was panting slightly.

It would be rude to retire from the celebration so early. But even as he was inwardly cursing the glacial tick of the chrono, he became aware of his lord rising to his feet.

Sanguinius did not single them out, but Kano fancied he saw a quirk in his gentle smile as his eyes passed over the crowd. "My sons, do not stand on ceremony. Many of you will have private reunions to share. The night is young; you may take your well-deserved leave however you see fit."

Permission granted, Kano felt a certain boldness seize him. He clasped Meros' hand to his chest and whispered "Shall we?"

"Oh, yes."

When they bowed to Sanguinius before departing, Kano's cheeks were hot. He almost missed the brief wink his lord gave him.

Seeing IU at the Prudential Center in Newar, NJ on Monday night was an incredible experience. I started my K-pop journey back in 2019 but quickly discovered her in 2020. I have really been getting into her the last year or 2 and have become a giant fan. She's 31 and has been active in music/acting since she was 15. Amazingly talented w/ a gifted voice. So many hits! 

I was so excited to see her & was hoping to go w/ a friend. But understandably, none wanted to pay what I was willing to so I went solo. It's her 1st North American tour ever. And Newark was the 1st stop so I felt I was part of her history. I justified my ticket price since I cancelled a trip I was going to take in June that would have cost me twice as much. I was very pleased w/ my seat as I was the closest I've ever been to the stage at a big arena like that. Speaking of the crowd, def very diverse in race, gender and age. And also very much populated by Asian Americans (mostly Korean). I'd say maybe half the crowd. I pretty immediately made friends to the people next to me and throughout the show we laughed, screamed, teared up, cheered, etc. Such a shared experience. I know most concerts might be like that but K-pop is such a positive community. When I was waiting in line outside til doors opened, people walked around giving little homemade gifts. So sweet! 

The concert was 3 hours long! She split it up into about 4 or 5 parts w/ each part having a theme like "Energetic" & "Heroic". Between parts (while she was doing a quick change), there would be text both in Korean and English on screen with beautiful messages. Or sometimes videos even of the crowd outside before the concert. One interval was quite theatrical w/ a young girl coming out acting a story to music/lighting until IU appeared. 

She did 2 encores. Both expected as she is known to do long shows. 1st encore was definitely planned songs. The 2nd, she actually asked the audience & thousands of us yelled out. I'm not sure if she pretended to pick ones but it did seem like she genuinely picked random songs that will change every show. Alas, my favorite & one of her biggest hits "Hold My Hand" wasn't done. But, she's had a long career so I understood. 

She spent a lot of time talking to us as well both in English & Korean (w/ help of an off-stage mic'd interpreter). Her English is pretty good but she spoke a lot of Korean if she couldnt remember the phrasing or words. She was so damn cute! She kept saying how she couldn't believe what an energetic audience we were for a Monday. She seem genuinely surprised that the crowd was so into it w/ high energy (she said my section was the loudest!), singing along in Korean (and of course the English bits), dancing along, screaming, etc. She clearly got moved at one point. As did I for a couple of songs. Genuinely thought I was going to burst into tears when she sang "Eight", a song she had collaborated on with BTS's Suga. A fave song, I had seen/read interpretations of it being about 3 of her close friends (also K-pop idols) whom had tragically taken their own lives. Whether that's true or not, it still gets me every time. 

IU isn't known for dance skills but she is pretty good. She always claims she's a bad dancer which isn't true. There isn't a ton of choreography as you'd see w/ K-pop groups. I really liked how casual she was with it. She'd dance the choreography almost marking it but not really. It's def a secondary thing as the showcase is her voice. She has a great belt and her head voice is so controlled and beautiful. She switches from both effortlessly. 

She did a cute thing where she did the normal "take a pic w/ the audience". Where as most people just sit in the middle of the stage w/ back to audience and photographer takes the shot w/ the audience in background...she took 3. One for center, one for left side and one for right side. Not sure if other artists have done this but I thought it was cool. Also I am very much in one of those pics and can see myself! Sure I'm blurry because I'm further away but I'm def in it! So I can say I got a pic w/ IU now and was part of her history making 1st American concert!

I'm still reeling from it and haven't come down. It's the concert of a lifetime and I highly recommend grabbing some resell tickets in any of the other cities she's playing in. I know I would have been happy if I sat further up as she really plays the whole arena. You can thank me after.
