I cannot bear to see you fall
Babycorn stopped dead in her tracks with a scream, falling backwards into a pile of leaves. “Woah! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you!” The strange miqo'te that had caught Babycorn by surprise leapt from the trees and landed right in front of her. “Here! Let me help you up!” He held his hand out and pulled Babycorn back up onto her two feet. “My name’s G’nash by the way! Nice to meet you!” Babycorn was still a little stunned, too stunned to speak. Uninterrupted, G’nash continued to speak. “Sorry about scaring you again! It’s just…” He nervously tugged on his singular sleeve. “You probably don’t want to go that way. Some of the people over there can be really mean.” “What do you mean?” Babycorn finally managed to ask. “Just…” G’nash hesitated for a second. “I mean I wouldn’t go over there. Unless I didn’t have a choice or something…”
ffxiv write day 3: Tempest
in a way theres a lot cherrypit doesnt understand about the world more than babycorn doesnt understand. hes still growing after all.
At the same time theres also things he can see that other people cant.
Cherrypit noticed a change in his sister almost immediately.
It’s a little hard to spend your entire life (and semi-afterlife) with someone and not notice these sorts of things.
Being as young as he was, his attention to small details wasn’t the greatest. If he had to guess when this all started it would have to be sometime during their second trip to Gridania. At the time he had been distracted by a cool looking table he was thinking about biting. “Yummy…” He babbled to himself.
The sound of his sister raising her voice was enough to make him jump on top of the table in surprise.
When he looked towards her voice he saw her talking with another tall person he didn’t know.
“I’m going out of my way to help you! Not like any of you even deserve it!”
Neither Cherrypit or Babycorn would have had any idea that she was yelling at a wood wailer. The protectors of Gridinia itself and who were also very notoriously very wary of any outsider. He hadn’t heard anything before Babycorn’s outburst.
It was the first time in a very long time that Cherrypit had heard her voice that loud before.
At this point Cherrypit’s desire to bite the table was long gone. Instead he was far more interested in potentially biting the leg of the person talking to his sister. He didn’t understand a lot of the words coming out of their mouth but he could feel that most of them weren’t very nice.
Not a lot of people were nice to his sister. It always made him a little sad whenever people would stare at her a certain way.
Before Cherrypit had the chance to act on his thoughts the wood wailer had made their exit. As they did, Cherrypit stuck out his tongue. That would show em’!
“Stop calling me that! My name is Babycorn Corn!!” Babycorn screamed out. “I’m not an adventurer…” That last part was said as quietly as she could.
From behind her desk Mother Miounne tried her best to defuse Babycorn’s anger. Not that there was no reason for her to be mad after being told she couldn’t be trusted. There just seemed to be something else there. Another reason why Babycorn was taking this so personally.
“I’m sorry about that-” Mother Miounne wasn’t about to get halfway through her apology before Babycorn turned around and stomped out of the building.
Just before she was out of sight Babycorn turned around and shot a glare at Miounne. A way to try and let her know that while she was doing what she asked her to–Babycorn wasn’t happy about it. “Let’s get this thing over with.” It was a chore for gil and food. Nothing more.
As Babycorn walked away, Cherrypit waddled right after her.
Once he was walking beside her, he noticed her hands were shaking. They were balled up into a pair of fists. Her eyes were wide as she looked straight at the ground. “Bebe?” Cherrypit raised one of his oversized sleeves up to her. Babycorn liked to hold hands when they were scared and right now she looked terrified.
Babycorn gasped and took Cherrypit’s hand, walking towards a big blue (and tasty looking) crystal surrounded by a large crowd. It was strange. Usually his sister always told him they needed to stay away from lots of people.
Once Babycorn had done what she had needed to do she took off with Cherrypit again. This time she picked him up and held him close to her as she took off to who knows where.
Whenever someone would walk past them Babycorn would glare at them. Occasionally when someone would stare just a little bit longer than usual she would look right back at them and either growl or make it seem like she would bite them if they got any closer.
Sometimes even both!
Cherrypit wondered if his sister was sad about something. Or maybe she was mad. Like when they would get chased by scary people yelling at them. One time one of them threw something sharp at his sister. It really hurt her and Babycorn didn’t want to talk to anyone after that.
All Babycorn would do was stare at people walking by and tell them they deserved what was coming to them. Today sort of felt something like that.
It was like a little storm cloud was constantly hovering over her head.
Just as the idea crossed Cherrypit’s head, he felt Babycorn stop. He looked around to see where they were. There were no people around unlike just a few minutes ago when it felt like they were surrounded.
Now they were somewhere else Cherrypit didn’t recognize but they were still in Gridania, he could feel it. There were some toys on the ground and a lot of weird shapes all around them all made of wood. If Babycorn hadn’t been hugging him so tightly he would have run off to play on them and bite as much as he could.
He heard his sister let out a sniffle. Cherrypit felt Babycorn lay her head on top of his, ruffling his hair. “I’m really sorry Cherry…” Babycorn whispered. “Are you doing okay? Are you tired?” It had been almost a straight trip from Limsa Lominsa to here without almost no rest. Even Babycorn had to admit she was a little exhausted from everything.
Cherrypit chewed on his oversized sleeve and thought about it. He didn’t feel sleepy. He felt like running around looking at everything he could. “Play!” Cherrypit happily said. He turned to look at his sister and put both of his sleeved hands on her cheeks. “Play! Play!”
At this point the dark circles under Babycorn’s eyes were just something Cherrypit assumed had always been there.
Babycorn gave her brother a small smile. The first in a long time. “Okay Cherry.” She grabbed his hands and held them as tightly as she could. “We’ll play when we’re all done. Okay?”
“Okay!” Cherrypit repeated. That was enough for him.
Things got both better and worse when they joined the scions of the seventh dawn.
All of a sudden there were so many new people that Cherrypit didn’t know. At first he was a little scared of them all but as time went on he was able to see that they were really nice. Some of them gave him candy and treats! Others would tell him really funny stories!
And a lot of them were really fun to scare!
The only big problem was that Cherrypit could tell that the storm cloud over Babycorn’s head had grown in size. Getting bigger and bigger every day they spent helping the scions with things.
No matter what they asked her to do, Babycorn always found something to complain about. Sometimes she would even go so far as to insult the scions, all of them. Most of them would brush her off. The only one that would really get on her case about being rude to Minfilia was Thancred.
Or as Cherrypit knew them, ‘Mini’ and ‘Thanky.’
Every night Cherrypit would hear Babycorn whispering to herself that tomorrow would be the day they finally would have enough of her. That tomorrow they would finally get kicked out. The only problem was that Cherrypit liked it here but if his sister wanted to leave then he would have to go with her.
There had to be some reason she didn’t like it here…
Cherrypit knew that Babycorn got into a lot more fights than just with Thancred. He didn’t really understand what the fights were about. In Cherrypit’s opinion there was nothing worth fighting with people for unless it was for extra candy for dinner.
Fighting just wasn’t for him. Playing with people was a lot more fun!
There was a nice talking piece of armor that sometimes played with him. He had a funny name but Cherrypit just liked to call him Big. Sometimes Babycorn would even join in too! She would walk up next to Big and hold her leg out for him to trip over. Big would fall onto the ground with a funny noise that made Cherrypit laugh.
Then Cherrypit would be able to jump up and down on Big, sort of like a big trampoline that didn’t actually bounce you anywhere! At least until someone else would come over and tell them they weren’t allowed to do that.
Which was strange because it was a lot of fun!
While they were being told not to do that, Cherrypit would notice a strange smile on Babycorn’s face. It wasn’t the sort of smile that she usually gave him. It didn’t make her look like she was happy. Usually the person talking to them would get even louder when Babycorn would start to smile like that.
Especially if Babycorn was talking with Lunya.
There was just something about those two that set the other off. Even Cherrypit could tell. It almost started to feel like a necessity that the two had to argue over something every day.
Cherrypit didn’t understand it. As she chewed on his sleeves he wondered if there was anything else they were going to do today. (he had a short track mind) He looked over to his sister who had just stormed off from fighting with Lunya over her not bothering to carry emergency potions with her.
As Cherrypit waddled behind Babycorn he looked at something he noticed the first day they arrived. He noticed it, but he still didn’t get why Lunya of all people also had her own storm cloud over her head.
“So what’s the secret?”
“Bwrah?” Cherrypit took the cookie out of his mouth and stared at Yda in silence. Both of them were on the ground, seemingly already having a conversation before this. Yda was lying on her stomach, kicking her legs back and forth. “You know-! The secret to being Babycorn’s friend! She’s always so nice to you–I figured you would have some advice.”
Cherrypit chewed on his cookie and looked around.
Papalymo gave a heavy sigh and finally looked up from the book he was fake-reading from. “Why are you asking a baby this question?”
“Because Cherry is the only one Babycorn is nice to!” Yda sat up and scoffed. The answer seemed so obvious why couldn’t her partner see it?
The older lalafell looked at Yda and then over to Cherrypit, who was very busy making his chocolate chip cookie as soggy as he could using his own drool. As disgusting as that was, it only helped prove Papalymo’s point. “I believe the answer to your question would be to simply have been born as Cherry instead.”
“That can’t be the only solution!”
“The girl doesn’t even call us by the right names.” The idea that Babycorn would suddenly turn around and like them with one simple trick given to them by a baby sounded as impossible as it was actually pulling it off. “We’re just going to have to live with it.”
Having finished his cookie off Cherrypit moved to chewing on his chocolate stained sleeves. “...Corn!” He suddenly squeaked out.
Yda sprang to her feet with a gasp. “That’s it!!”
“What’s it?” Papalymo was almost afraid to find out.
“We get her corn! As a sign of friendship and camaraderie!”
“Doesn’t she have enough of it in her hair?”
“She could always have more!” Yda helpfully added. Right after saying that she took off running, leaving Papalymo in the dust. “Y-Yda?! Wait a second-?!” He struggled for a second to climb off of the crate he had been sitting on, making sure to take his weapon just in case they ran into trouble. Neglecting to also take his wallet.
As Cherrypit watched both of them disappear off into the night he wondered if Yda’s plan would ever work. He hadn’t been lying in saying that corn made his sister happy. He remembered it used to make her really happy back when they lived with their mama and papa but it had been a long time since they had eaten it.
“Bebe…” He really hoped it would work.
It would be nice if more people could make his sister smile.

Not only are we writing something new 👀 With the posting of this epilogue, requests for the Shake my Faith blurbs will be open! Madi and I love you all so much, and thank you for all the love that has been given to our series ♡
You had been craving it, the taste of the savory butter that coated the little popped bits of corn you threw into your mouth. One by one you crunched down on the snack and swatted Josh’s hand away from the bowl as he reached around you in an attempt to grab some for himself.
“One mouthful of popcorn per kiss. Those are the rules.” You tease, holding the bowl just out of his arms reach.
“Well maybe if you turn your head I can smooch ya!” He laughed, so you did as instructed. Just as promised he gave you a delicate kiss, followed with his mouth opened wide and a soft ahhhh.
You grabbed a fist full of popcorn and reached behind your shoulder to stuff it between his teeth. “Can we focus on the movie now? I didn’t hear a word they just said.” You grunted, adjusting yourself back into comfort on Josh’s lap.
You loved it there, the warmth it brought alongside the contentment it provided. You leaned back so your back was directly against his torso, your head resting just upon his shoulder.
“You know. I don’t think I’ll ever understand why he’s a bunny.” You whisper, earning a chuckle from Josh that vibrated your back.
“Most of this movie is an enigma.” He retaliated, and though he meant to say more the jiggle of the front door knob caught you both off guard. Simultaneously, the two of you looked over at the noise and watched as the handle slowly turned, opening slowly to reveal Jake. He was blissfully unaware of the two of you as he tossed his keys into the bowl, kicking off his shoes and slipping his coat from his shoulders.
You could see the blush still lingering on his skin as he smiled to himself, wandering into the kitchen as he stared down at his phone. You turned just enough to share a look with Josh, mischievous smirks adorning both of your faces as you watched Jake pull open the refrigerator door. “So, how was your date with this mystery woman you’ve been hiding from us?”
Using the fridge door as a shield, he slowed his movements as if that would make him disappear. “What date?” He grabbed at a soda can and cracked it open. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
When he finally popped his head out of hiding, his face was as red as a ripened cherry. Almost as red as a fresh sunburn after a day of swimming. “Awe!! Joshy look. He’s blushing! Look at how flustered he is!”
Jake shot you a look as Josh chuckled, shifting slightly to get a better look at his twin. “She must be something really special then, the only other time I’ve seen him get that flustered is because of you, angel.”
You smiled at the comment as you slid out of Josh’s lap, opting instead to curl up against his side and lift the blanket, patting the empty spot beside you on the couch. “Why don’t you come finish this movie with us and tell us all about this girl.”
Jake's sharp glare quickly melted away, and he shuffled out of the kitchen, making his way over and sinking into the spot next to you. You leaned over, nudging your shoulder against his as he made himself comfortable. “So, what’s she like? Gotta make sure she’s a good fit for my best friend.”
A fresh start wasn’t always for everyone. Most people enjoyed the comfort of their own living space enough to stay there forever. You thought you were one of those people, someone who would sit in the same living room for eternity looking out the same window. That was your truth, until a new shiny key was presented before you from Josh’s hand. “Would you like to do the honors?”
You took it between your fingers and lined it up with the knob. As you unlocked the door you couldn’t help but to reflect on what got you to this point in your life. How such a turn of events in a youth room had led you down the path to holding a key to your shared apartment with Joshua. A key you wouldn’t trade for the world.
Though you had seen the apartment a few times, it felt different now. Felt like home. Though the lack of furniture had every noise echoing between the walls, it still felt cozy. It could have all boiled down to the fact that Josh was by your side, and in all honesty, he was all you needed.
The two of you stepped further into the apartment, stopping in the kitchen and leaning on the island as you looked over the space that would soon be full of furniture that you had chosen together. Josh slid behind you, his hands resting on your hips as he turned you around so that you were facing him. He had you lifted onto the countertop before you had the chance to argue.
“Now, angel.” One of his hands lifted until his palm was brushing your cheek, and his eyes locked on his thumb as he slid it along your bottom lip. “Imagine just how nice it would sound with your sweet moans and whimpers echoing through all this empty space.”
He quickly closed the distance between his face and your own, his breath fanning across your lips. The serene moment between the two of you was interrupted when Jake and Danny came crashing through the front door of the apartment with the couch from your old apartment. “Dammit Sam! I told you to tell me when I was about to run into the fucking wall!”
Sam’s laugh echoed through the apartment as he stumbled into the main room. “Sorry, Jake, just be thankful you didn’t have to listen to the happy couple getting ready to fuck on the kitchen counter.”
He sat the singular plant he had tucked in his arm down on the kitchen counter and simply watched as the two men attempted to maneuver around the entryway. The whole time Jake was murmuring every cuss word in the book towards the inanimate object in his arms.
“Do you want it to go there?” Jake finally directed his words to you. “Because once this thing hits the ground I’m not picking it back up.” Though he was serious he made sure to soften his tone so as to not sound upset with you, just upset with the heavy ass couch.
“Two more steps to your left and I think that’s perfect!” As you directed his brother, Josh managed to land his hand upon your ass to give it the softest squeeze before leaving to grab a round of boxes. A few hours passed, and the five of you managed to get almost everything in the apartment.
Piles of boxes had been separated by the room they belong in, meaning the two of you had built up an extraordinarily large, seemingly never ending pile of boxes that started in the living room, and ended at the closet in the hallway to the bedroom.
Sam, Danny, and Jake left not long after lunch, having eaten an excessive amount of pizza between the trips from the moving van and the apartment. There was no energy left between you and Josh as you sat on the couch together and enjoyed the takeout he had ordered after the two of you had showered.
“I think I’m going to go pick up some groceries for the next few days, do you want to come with me or stay and unpack boxes?” Josh had just finished the last piece of orange chicken from his little white box and walked it over to the trash can.
Finishing your last few bites you answered. “I’ll stay and unpack a bit, get a head start on the inevitable.”
With priorities in line, the first box you opened had ‘RECORD PLAYER’ written in thick sharpie. Cautiously, you pulled out the pieces one by one and sat them down upon the floor. Once the speakers and turntable were plugged in, you made your way through the pile of boxes to find one labeled as ‘JOSH’S RECORDS’.
The entire box was moved next to the player for convenience but also just to get it out of the way. You picked up your favorite album from Josh’s collection, Back Home Again, and pressed the needle into the first groove so you could enjoy the sound while setting up what you could of the living room.
It seemed only fitting to put on another John Denver record when the first came to an end, so you walked back to the record player and carefully placed Back Home Again back in its sleeve, placing it in the shelving you had managed to put together before pulling out Poems, Prayers and Promises.
Josh made his way through the door about half way through Gospel Changes, with what looked like five or six grocery bags in hand. You had settled back onto the couch after unloading a couple boxes worth of blankets and pillows, so you simply turned to watch as he made his way into the kitchen and placed the bags on the counter. “Care for some help unloading those, my love?”
He looked at you with the softest of smiles spread across his lips as he worked to pull the groceries from the bags. “No no you go relax, get comfy. I will get everything all organized.”
You obliged, only moving enough to light the candles you had placed on the coffee table. Josh walked over to the couch holding a container of ice cream, and two spoons. Though he was still as happy as he was earlier, Josh seemed to be carrying something else, a sense of nervousness that he hadn’t had with you in a long time. In response, you simply smiled at him as he sat across the couch from you. “Is that what I think it is?”
“If you’re thinking of chocolate fudge ice cream, then yes. Yes it is.” He handed it to you with shaking hands, and once the container met with your fingers the spoon he held in the same hand dropped to the ground.
Josh immediately went to the floor to pick it up, and as you giggled at his clumsiness you lifted the lid.
“Oh. My. God.” You whispered, almost dropping the pint. When you looked up from the glistening metal lodged in the cream you saw Josh, one knee planted firm on the ground in a kneeling position.
“Now… bear with me. I had this whole thing planned but I knew as soon as I saw your reaction I’d forget everything… because you do that to me, make me forget about the world. Make me want to be better. You completely turned my world around when I saw you and I was too young then to know why, but it’s because you're my soul mate.”
Tears welled up in the corner of his eyes, yours mimicking his reaction as he continued. “I can’t even fathom the idea of finishing this lifetime without you next to me, and I don’t think I’d be able to do it without you, my angel.”
As he spoke he plucked the ring from out of the ice cream and wiped off the band until it was clean. “I could honestly go on and on about why I love you… why I need you. But angel, would you care to keep me by your side through this journey? To have someone so devoted to you as your husband?”
And just like that, your whole vocabulary dissipated leaving you speechless. “Y/n?” He quizzed, leaning forward to get a gauge on how you were feeling.
Your first instinct was to lean forward, your hand looping around to grab the back of his neck, and press your lips against his with enough force that your hand had to keep his head steady. Your freehand tapped at the ring in his hand, begging for him to slip the jewelry upon your finger.
It was cold, but was quick to warm up around you as it managed to slide across your ring finger flawlessly. You didn’t even glance at it, instead you pulled Josh in towards you and leaned back against the sofa.
“Put the ice cream back in the freezer. I won’t be needing it right now.” You whisper against his lips, only to get a groan of disapproval in response from Josh. “I don’t want it to melt, it ruins the texture when it has to refreeze.” You giggled as your lips pressed small kisses down his chin.
“Only because I love you.” He protested, but pulled himself away and snatched up the ice cream in a rather tantrum-esque display. You bit your bottom lip to hide your laughter as he stomped over to the freezer.
Josh delicately placed the pint back in its spot, and when he finally composed himself enough to turn towards you his jaw landed on the floor. You had somehow managed to silently strip yourself of every article of clothing aside from your panties. You knew how much he loved taking them off of you himself.
“What’s the hold up, fiancé?” You purred, raising your hands above your head as you pretended to yawn. He watched as your breasts rose with the motion and waltzed back over to you. You let out a yelp as he pounced, pushing you back upon the couch with his lips sucking and nipping at your neck.
“I like the sound of that coming from your lips, angel. Say it again.” The brushing of his lips against your skin as he spoke sent a shiver down your spine.
You lifted a hand to his face, moving it so that he was looking you in the eye. “Fiancé.”
You weren’t planning on answering your phone as it buzzed against your nightstand. You and Josh were actively sorting through different designs for wedding invitations. Somehow, you had managed to narrow it down to a forest green paper with gold font, or a cream colored paper with forest green font.
When your phone stopped ringing, only to start back up again it was Josh who looked over your shoulder to see who was calling. “You might want to answer it this time angel, it’s your mom.”
Frantically, you grabbed the phone off the stand and pressed it to your ear. “Mom, hi. Are you alright?”
“Yeah… yeah, I’m alright. I just… I miss him.” At her words, your shoulders dropped forward.
“I miss him too mom… Do you want Josh and I to come over for dinner?” The mention of his name had Josh peering sympathetically in your direction.
“No no, that’s alright sweetheart… ” There was a deafening pause, only broken by the sound of her sniffle. “I just hope you know how much I love you… how much he loved you.”
You could feel Josh's hand brushing gently along your shoulder blades as you took a deep breath. “I love you too, mom. And remember, Josh and I can come over whenever you need.”
While you placed the phone back down on the nightstand, you turned your head away from Josh. You tried so hard to hold back the tears, but it was no use. As soon as the first droplet slipped past your eyelids the rest came cascading down your cheeks. Between that, your sniffles and the way your chest began to vibrate, your cover was blown.
“Come here, angel” Josh pulled you in desperately, wanting nothing more than to just hold you until the tears stopped. He himself was holding back tears as he watched you mourn. This past month you tried your best to be strong with your fathers passing, knowing he wouldn’t want you to be stuck in the sorrow you had been feeling.
Josh’s embrace left you sobbing against his chest, and in return Josh pushed the invitations off of the bed to make space for you to lay against him. As he sat and ran his hands through your hair, one of his tears dripped down upon your scalp.
“I-It kills me he can’t be there. For us. For this.” You managed to whisper out between sobs. “He was so fucking excited. He already had ou-our father daughter dance song picked out.”
“Yeah, he uh- showed me some of his… groovy dance moves one night while you were out for dinner with our mothers.” His lips had turned to a small smile at the memory, and the comfort that came with it slowed the tears until all that was left was the streaks they left upon your cheeks.
He held you in silence for a while, simply listening to the steadying of your breathing.
Part of you wished you could say that you had woken up with the sunlight streaming in through the window. In truth, you had been awake since before the sun peeked over the horizon. Sitting wrapped in the comforter as you waited for the sun to make its grand entrance through the window of the bed and breakfast you had rented for the wedding. Through the silence, a small knock echoed around your room. You kept the comforter wrapped tightly around you as you slid from the bed, padded over to the door, and cracked it open only slightly, peaking through to see who was on the other side.
Josh stood on the other side, a sleepy smile on his face as his eyes locked with yours. He looked pretty much the same as how you imagined yourself at that moment, his curls were an untamed mess, you could see the little goop in the corners of his eyes, and the creases across his cheeks from the pillowcase he was sleeping on. When he finally broke the silence, your brain tingled because of the drowsy rasp in his tone. “I know we’re not supposed to see each other, but I had a dream about you… and when I woke up and reached for you, I got sad cause you weren’t there. So I uh, thought I’d see if you were awake too.”
You stepped away from the door, pulling it open further so that he could enter your room. You pulled the blanket open, extending your arms towards him. He immediately wrapped himself around you, lifting you from the floor and closing the door as quietly as he could with his foot. It only took a few steps for Josh to reach your bed, and he gently placed you down on the mattress. You rolled over as he crawled onto the bed, lifting the comforter for him to lay under with you as you went back to watching the sunrise.
Josh shimmied himself to be as close as possible with you, turning his head to nuzzle against the warmth of your skin. “I love you.”
You hummed, leaning your head against his. “I’d hope so, or else it sure would be an awkward marriage.” You gently repositioned the two of you so that you were laying on your sides, facing each other. “I love you too, Josh.”
The two of you laid like that for a while, slowly sinking until Josh’s head was laying on your chest, your fingers gently brushing through his curls as you were warmed by the early morning sun. The peaceful quiet felt like an eternity before you were eventually interrupted by another soft knock on the door. You kept your eyes on the ceiling as you quietly called out. “Who is it?”
From the other side of the door, a quiet voice called back. “It’s Jake.”
Your smile grew, and you could feel Josh’s do the same as his lips softly grazed your skin. “Come in.”
The door opened slowly, and Jake stuck his head in just enough to see the two of you lying peacefully in each other's arms. “I hate to break up the two of you, but people are starting to wake up. So Josh should probably get back to his room before one of our mothers sees you two together.”
Josh groaned, the sound muffled as he kept his head pressed in the crease of your neck, but he knew his twin was right. He lifted himself off of you and slid out from beneath the blanket. You lifted yourself onto your elbows, watching as he trudged toward the door. He turned as he reached the doorway, turning to you and blowing you a kiss before turning back and passing Jake.
Jake watched his brother cross the hall and enter his room before turning back to you. “I’ll see you later, Y/n.”
You smiled at him before dropping back against the mattress. “I better, I’m sure as hell not about to walk myself down that aisle.”
“I’d never leave you alone out there.”
You got another forty-five minutes or so before another knock came from your bedroom door, your mother opened it and leaned against the doorframe for a bit, just watching as you stared up at the ceiling.
“You know, I couldn’t sleep either when I was about to marry your father.” She whispered, startling you slightly from your silent trance. “I almost ran away from the church. I was so nervous. I’m glad I didn’t, because then I wouldn’t have you.”
A smile spread on your face at the mention of your father, and when you felt the end of the bed dip down you sat up, crossing your legs as you did so. “I’m glad you didn’t either. I’m lucky to have you as my mom.” You crawled down the bed to wrap your arms around her from the back.
“I will request we do makeup last though, so I have a chance for a nap.” You admitted, feeling her laughter against your stomach.
“You’re going to be too nervous for napping. Don’t worry, I’ll get you a mimosa and you’ll perk right on up.”
Just the mention of it made you smile, squeezing your mom a little tighter as you rested your cheek against her back. “Is there food? I’m starving.”
Her hands landed over your own and she chuckled. “I’ll grab you a plate, hopefully the boys haven't eaten it all already.”
You took your time lowering your feet from the bed onto the floor, stretching as much as you could. All the nervous energy that had been building up inside of you having left you tensed up. You couldn’t help the joyous hum that came from you as your muscles relaxed and your back cracked.
Your mother returned not long after she had left, a tray held across her arms as her, Ronnie, your cousin Jamie, and two of your closest friends, who until recently had been travelling Europe. The four of them walked in and immediately wrapped you in a warm group hug.
You were the one who released the hug, not because you wanted it to end, but because the smell of the sweet pancakes intertwined with the savory bacon and had your mouth watering. You plucked crunchy bacon directly from the plate and hung it over your mouth to take a dramatic first bite. “This… is delicious.”
The food managed to help relax your anxiety ridden stomach, and once everyone was picking at the last few berries left in the bowl, you heard a knock at the door. Jake stood there, a pint of orange juice in one hand and an unopened bottle of Prosecco in the other. “Delivery for the ladies.” Rather dramatically, he made a show of popping the top off, earning a few shy screams as the cork bounced around the room.
With a couple good chuckles he reached past the door to hand each of you a glass, bowed, and headed back to Josh’s room.
Ronnie picked up the first glass, holding it up in the air as the rest of you picked one for yourselves. “Here’s to a smooth, easy, love filled day. Nothing is going to go wrong. Today will be perfect, because you’re perfect and it’s what you and my brother deserve.” There was a glaze of tears already coating her eyes as she spoke. “Now. Let’s get you even more jaw droppingly gorgeous than you already are.”
You quickly finished what remained of your mimosa before shuffling toward the vanity. You sat to apply your skincare, the same way you had for years yet this time you were nervous. Your hands shook as you gently pressed the moisturizer into your skin. Hands pressed a tad too hard as you massaged your jawline upwards.
Ronnie came up behind you, her hands running through your hair to fluff it up a bit. You had already told her and shown her what you wanted your hair to look like. It wasn’t anything extraordinary, just fancy enough to fit the occasion, and keep it out of your face for the duration of the day's activities.
Everyone sat and conversed as they all joined you in wedding preparations. By the time Ronnie had made it to the last strand of hair, it was already almost noon. You took a break, sitting around to talk some more about how the day would pan out as Ronnie placed her makeup across the counter so it would be ready after you ate lunch.
There was a ruckus in the hall as a stampede of men made their way down it. Through the footsteps you could hear Joshua's voice and the sound had your anxieties melting away. They also had ideas of lunch on their minds.
You bolted over to the door to press your ear against the wood, some of the bridesmaids followed behind you, giggling. “I can’t hear him anymore!” You complained to Ronnie, her head right beside yours.
“Why are you being so nosey, angel?” Josh’s voice flowed through the barrier as if it wasn’t even there.
Your nose crinkled upwards as you smiled. “I guess I could ask the same of you.”
“May I just say you sound like you look absolutely stunning.” Jake's ear was planted right beside Josh’s, his head on the opposite side of the door from Ronnie’s.
The next thing you could hear was violent faux gagging from Jake, which was soon paired with a rather guttural grunt as Josh so kindly punched his stomach to get him to stop.
Everyone erupted in laughter, including yourself. “Did I hear you guys are grabbing lunch?” You spoke up.
“Say the word and it’s yours.” Josh hummed, ignoring as Jake mocked him from the sidelines with his hand over his heart in a rather dramatic display.
“I think we’d all appreciate some pizza.”
“Well then you shall have it.”
Ronnie smiled at you as you continued to rest your head against the door, listening to the rest of the boys talk on the other side. “Thank you, my love.”
“Anything for you, my angel. We’ll be back soon, I love you.” You could hear not only one, but multiple men on the other end copying Jake by dramatically fake gagging at the two of you.
“I love you too, Josh.” You pushed away from the wood of the door, turning to walk back to your chair.
From the hallway, you could hear the boys as they made their way down the hallway, echoes of them saying, ‘I love you Joshy.’ amongst some other phrases, which were quickly shut down as Josh told them to shut up before he pushed them down the stairs.
Ronnie stepped back into her spot behind you, beginning to pull back what she needed to finish your hair, and a peaceful quiet settled in the room, the only sound coming from the speaker as it quietly played music.
Almost an hour passed before a soft knock came from the bedroom door. Jamie walked to the door and pulled it open, finding Jake on the other side holding two pizza boxes. “I come bearing lunch, and a letter for the bride from her fiancé.”
You slid from the bed faster than you thought you could, making a b-line for the bedroom door. As Jamie opened the door further for Jake to enter, you plucked the letter from the top of the boxes. You turned to scurry back to the bed, but Jake managed to pass off the pizza boxes and catch you before you had the chance.
You followed curiously as he pulled you onto the small balcony, sitting you down on one of the chairs and lowering himself into the other. The gentle breeze was soothing for your ever growing nerves, and Jake's gaze was locked on your face as you stared at the small envelope in your hand. “He can’t sit still.”
Your eyes lifted to look at him, an inquisitive expression on your face, spurring him for further explanation. He chuckled and leaned back in his seat. “We keep trying to tell him that he needs to get ready, but he just keeps insisting on going on little nature walks to calm his nerves.”
You smiled, wishing you could be walking the grounds with him, your fingers intertwined. “Sounds like something he’d do, has he eaten lunch yet?”
Jake nodded, “Yeah, he took a couple slices of pizza and dragged Sam out for another walk while they ate.”
You turned away from Jake, looking over the railing of the balcony and catching sight of Josh and Sam as they wandered around the backyard. You glanced back at Jake with a raised eyebrow. “Did you plan this Jacob?”
He smiled, holding his finger to his lips. “It wasn't just my idea.”
He turned his phone to show you the screen, his messages with Sam open with a message already typed out. He turned the phone back to himself and hit send. The two of you watched as Sam pulled his phone from his pocket and tapped Josh on the shoulder, pointing up to you and Jake on the balcony.
Jake felt his phone buzz, and looked down, reading the message with a chuckle. “Sam said that Josh has started rambling about how beautiful you look.”
Your cheeks flushed pink, and you watched as Josh turned to Sam, pointing at his phone as he spoke. You turned to Jake, waiting to hear what it was that Josh had Sam typing out. “Josh said that he loves you, that you should read the letter alone, and that you should probably read it before you get your makeup done so that no one tries to kill him for making you cry and ruining it.”
You glanced down one last time to blow a kiss in their direction, when you looked up Jake was already sliding the glass door shut to leave you alone with the letter. Cautiously, and with trembling fingers you opened it.
My angel,
No word in this universe could describe the admiration I have for you. Have had for you. No song has been sung that can perfectly encapsulate the way you make me feel. No poem has been written that has selected rhymes well enough to encompass your essence.
I pace back and forth today not out of anxiety or remorse, but out of anticipation. Anticipation of having you be my wife until our journey in this world ends. Hopefulness that our lives will be as perfect as you deserve them to be. That you will forever feel the love I have for you, and that I never once fail to show you that love.
You’ve always been it, angel. With no questions in my heart you’ve always been the one I wanted to say my vows to. Share a home with. Have children with. You’ve taught me so much in life, but above all else you’ve taught me how to love.
So. To fill the void in academia that refuses to put into words how I feel about you, I decided to give it a go myself. Be warned, I’m not a poet.
I’d start with roses and violets that are so blue,
But not even that poem is as enchanting as you.
Sunflowers touch the clouds and kiss the sky
But will never be as marvelous as the gleam in your eyes.
I have loved you in this lifetime, and I’ll love you in my next,
My beautiful flower who is more pulchritudinous than the rest.
With all my love,
Within the next couple hours, your makeup was done, and you watched as guests began making their way through the backyard towards the aisle you would soon be walking down. Karen had occasionally been popping in throughout the day to check in when she wasn’t attempting to keep all of the boys in one room, but she was sure to be there when it was time for you to put on your dress.
It slipped on effortlessly, and it was then that the tears began well up in the corner of your eyes. For everyone. Your mom walked over to your side and you watched as her reflection placed its hand upon your shoulder.
You saw a small box peeking out from behind her back, and she pulled it forward to be seen fully. It was hard for her to speak with the tears cascading down her cheeks but she managed to begin. “Something old.” She murmured, pulling your dad's cross necklace and latching it around your neck.
“Mom…”
You held the cross between your fingers and pressed it against your lips. Remembering all the days you saw your father wearing that very piece of jewelry .
Jamie, Ronnie, Leslie, and Tara made their way to you, and Ronnie lifted a small black box towards you. “Something new.” You took it from her hand, pulling the lid off the box. Inside was a charm bracelet with four small charms.
You looked up at the girls, a smile on your face as you tried to fight back the tears that threatened to spill. “Thank you, seriously, it’s beautiful.”
Ronnie helped you put it on, watching as you looked over each of the small charms before stepping away to make room for her mom. Karen stepped forward, giving you a kiss on the cheek “Kelly and I will give you and Josh your something borrowed after the ceremony.”
She stepped back to let your mom come back to you. “Lastly, your something blue.” Your mothers fingers fumbled a bit as she pulled out a small pair of earrings. A light blue stone sat in the center of each. “It’s Angelite… I found it fitting since I hear Josh call you angel so much… And you’ll always be my angel too.”
She helped you place the earrings in your ears, and everyone choked back tears as you took in your final appearance. The room was silent, apart from the sniffling from yourself and those around you, until a knock sounded from the door. Before anyone could answer it, Jake cracked open the door, shuffling in as fast as he could and shutting it behind him.
All of you turned at the sound of the door opening, seeing Jake leaned against the dark wood, his mouth stuck open like he was going to say something, but he simply stood there staring at you until his mother broke him from his trance. “Is it time, dear?”
He blinked a few times before nodding his head and taking a few steps towards the group. “Yeah, dad is looking for all of you, it’s time.”
You had rehearsed this. The exact way it was all about to happen, yet your hands clammed up and your throat went dry at Jakes beckoning. “So. Josh will be out there soon?” You bite your lip at the thought of him waiting for you.
“Yes, after our mothers find their seats of course.” Jake motioned to them to make their way out, and you watched as your mother and Karen squeezed each other's hands and walked out of the door, each of them turning to blow you one last kiss.
All of your bridesmaids left soon after them, scrambling around the room to do quick touch ups before being practically chased out of the room by Jake. Once everyone was finally gone, Jake turned to you slowly, his gaze travelling along the length of your body. “Wow.”
He motioned for you to do a twirl, and you followed his instruction, spinning in a slow circle. “Josh is definitely going to cry.”
A small chuckle accompanied his words, but as you locked your eyes with his, you could see the tears forming in his eyes. You took steps forward, your heels clicking upon the floor as you approached him. Your hands landed upon his cheeks, your thumbs moving to wipe the tear from the corner of his eye.
“Don’t you dare start getting emotional on me now. Because you’ll make me cry.”
He smiled at your words, taking a dramatically deep breath to compose himself. “Sorry, I’ll keep it together I swear.”
In the distance you could hear the music that cued your bridesmaids to begin their walk down the aisle alongside the groomsman.
You reached out to grab ahold of Jake's forearm. “It’s happening.”
Jake reassured you by placing his hand upon yours “It’s happening.” He guided you into position, his arm looped around yours as the two of you waited for your song to begin.
You couldn’t help but to giggle as Danny and Sam walked down the aisle, tossing white flower petals haphazardly.
The autumn leaves gently brushed upon the ground, creating a marvelous orange and red walkway for you and Jake to stride through. Josh couldn’t keep his eyes off of you. His cheeks began to grow red, his hand raised to cover his mouth with fist as you walked slowly alongside his twin.
Josh couldn’t hold back his tears of admiration as they cascaded down his cheeks. His chest began to rapidly rise and fall as he tried to wrangle in his breathing. You couldn’t hear it over the piano, but he was whispering about just how gorgeous you looked. How lucky he was.
He stood beneath a large tree at the end of the aisle, his skin illuminated by the slowly setting sun as it peaked through the curtain that had been hung to create a soft backdrop for the position the two of you would stand as you shared your vows.
Jake’s arm slid out from around yours, keeping your hand gently in his as he eased you forward towards Josh. The moment your hand was placed over his, it really hit you. You were at the altar with the love of your life, about to start the rest of your life together. Jake gave you one last kiss on the cheek before letting his hand clap against his twin's shoulder. “She’s still out of your league… in case you forgot.”
Josh nudged Jake as he moved to stand next to Sam and Danny, and when he finally turned back to you got to see his beautiful smile in all its glory. You looked out to the crowd of people to see one empty chair in the front row. A photo of your father rested against the back of the chair, adorned with the tie he had spent hours picking out for this day.
Your hand lifted to your mouth and you stared into your moms eyes in admiration of her efforts. The squeeze of Josh's hand around your own pulled your attention back to him, and he whispered a quick ‘I love you’ as Kelly opened his notes to begin the ceremony.
“We are gathered here today before friends, family, and above all else, God, to witness the holy matrimony of Joshua and Y/N. We thank the Lord for all the blessings that brought us here today and those that brought our lovebirds together to make this day possible.”
You stared directly into Josh’s glossy eyes, aware that yours more than likely looked the same, and you gave his hand a gentle squeeze.
“Love and marriage are truly one of God’s greatest gifts and accomplishments. Yes, the heavens and the Earth are pretty impressive, but the Lord has filled all of us with love and allows us to grow that love exponentially by sharing it with someone else. And so, by giving selflessly to another, we make ourselves stronger and our lives that much richer. It’s truly one of the greatest miracles we’ve been given.”
Just hearing Kelly speak in such a manner had emotions swirling that you thought you were prepared to deal with.
“I remember watching these two as children. I watched their love grow from a childhood best friend to a romantic partner. I am so blessed to say that I wouldn’t want my son to be standing here with anyone other than Y/N. If you don’t mind I would love to read a verse that expresses my view on this couple you see standing before you.”
Kelly flipped to a bookmarked page of his Bible. “Corinthians 13. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”
Both of you were a mess at this point, and both of your honorable members were placing their hands upon your shoulder to act as an anchor.
“At this time, the couple would like to join together to unify their love physically by placing their two different colors of sand in the hourglass. The colors of the sand may be different, but over time the grains of sand will continue to combine until to the naked eye it looks to be a brand new color. However when you look closer, the sand is still yellow and red. Just how in marriage your bond only grows stronger, though your individualism remains true.”
While Kelly spoke you and Josh alternated putting little pours of sand into the glass. Giggling when Josh poured more than his fair share. Laughing when you accidently dropped a little on the floor. The two small tubes were emptied and you stepped back to admire the layers of sand before you.
You both found your original positions and grasped upon each other's hands tightly once more.
“Joshua, do you promise to love, honor, cherish and respect Y/N above all others, from this day forward until your very last day on earth?”
“Forever.” He murmured, just loud enough that everyone could hear it.
Kelly asked you the exact same question. “I promise, Josh.” You responded, earning a hand squeeze from him.
“Now I believe the couple have written their own vows they would like to share with each other before the ring ceremony.” Kelly stepped back, handing the small microphone over to you so you could begin.
You turned to Jamie, reaching for the cards she had held out for you before turning back to Josh and clearing your throat.
“Josh. You have always given me a sense of purpose. From teaching me how to ice skate to being by my side through the passing of my father.”
Your voice began to quiver so you took a moment to breathe. The sun was lower and the glow of the horizon line left a streak of an orange hue directly crossing over Josh's eyes. You anchored yourself within those golden eyes.
“There are so many reasons that you have always been the one. From your dedication with the children at youth group, your love and admiration towards me, the never ending back rubs I receive after briefly mentioning I had a bad day.”
You tossed the card behind you, deciding that you were too in the moment to read from a cue.
“As I look at you now, with the last drops of sunshine across your face I’m reminded of the sunlight you bring to this relationship; the nonstop smiles, the goofy jokes. You are the reason my days remain bright. You are the reason that storm clouds that may try to take over my mood are washed away. You are my everything, Josh. So I promise. I promise to stay by your side and I promise that whatever storm life throws at us, we will tackle together. As long as I get to see the sun on the other side of the cloud, it’s all worth it.”
Kelly had to clear his throat after your words as he choked back his tears. “And Josh, now is the time for your vows.” He watched as his son anchored himself with a deep breath.
“Y/n, my love. I can’t believe we’re finally here. When we were younger, our parents used to joke about us getting married… and we would both just freak out and insist that the other has cooties and we would never get married-” a small chuckle came not only from you and Josh, but from everyone that knew how the two of you were when you were younger. “-but I think even then, some part of me knew that something about you was different to me than any other girl I knew. So I guess our parents were right, and though it took us sixteen years to finally do something about those feelings we both seemed to be hiding from each other, I wouldn’t trade a second of our time together.”
He stopped for a second, taking a deep breath and smiling at you as he wiped a tear from his cheek. “We have watched each other grow and mature, and we have loved each other for so long. I cannot wait to live the rest of this life by your side, through whatever may happen. I love you, angel. Forever.”
Kelly wiped the tear from his eyelashes and gave a soft sniffle while readjusting the microphone. “From the earliest times, the circle has been a symbol of completeness, a symbol of committed love. An unbroken and never-ending circle symbolizes a commitment of love that is also never-ending. This ring should be a reminder of the commitment to love each other that you have made today. Repeat after me. I, Y/N , give you Josh, this ring as a symbol of my commitment to love, honor, and respect you.” You did as he was asked, taking the ring into your fingers with shaky hands to cautiously slide it upon Josh’s finger. Josh repeated your actions, sliding your ring onto your finger and you couldn’t stop staring at the way it glistened under the last few rays of sunlight.
“And now. After all this time and anticipation… I now pronounce you man and wife. Son, you may now kiss your bride.”
Time stopped as you and Josh looked at each other. Finally, after all the years pining for each other, after all of the good times, and the bad. You were standing across from the love of your love, your husband.
Just as quickly as times seemed to halt, it came rushing back, the feeling of Josh’s hands holding either side of your face pulled you back to reality as his lips brushed against your own. Your eyes were locked on his, wide smiles plastered on both of your faces. “I love you, angel.”
“I love you, Josh.” Your lips met, for the first time as husband and wife, and everyone erupted in cheers.
Suddenly everything felt like it was in fast forward as you and Josh were whisked off to sign the marriage license, followed closely by Kelly and Jake to sign as your officiant and witness.
The night was off to a great start as the guests found their place at the reception. After many photos were taken of the wedding party, one by one you walked out to find your spot at the table. Food was served and everyone began chatting, though your thoughts remained mesmerized by the wedding band wrapped around your finger.
At your silence, Josh’s hand found a place upon your thigh, and he gave it a soft squeeze, as if asking if you were okay. You were better than okay. It was when he looked up at the cheesy grin stamped to your face, that he realized you were in awe of this moment in time.
You weren’t entirely sure how much time had passed by when your mother stood with her glass in hand, tapping it softly to try and get everyone’s attention, her eyes locked onto Jake’s and she shook her head no when he brought his fingers up towards his lips. When the second clink of the glass still didn’t harbor the attention she desired, Jake took it upon himself to rip out a long whistle that cut through the noise.
“Thank you, Jacob.” Your mom began, earning a playful wink in return. “I have never been one for standing up in crowds or giving speeches so bear with me. Although we all knew that eventually we would be in this moment, Josh wanted to make it special.” You looked over to him, but his eyes were growing teary and you weren’t quite sure as to why.
“Before Josh had even asked you to marry him, he texted me. Asking if it was okay if he came over to talk. I should have known right then and there why he would want to come over by himself but I was oblivious. Your Dad was just as confused. Now, I don’t normally invade privacy but I have something I think all of you will enjoy…”
Your mother reached over to grab a small black remote and fumbled around with the buttons for a while until a white screen slowly dropped down on the wall just across from you. She fumbled with the buttons some more and eventually the screen lit up with the image of a door slightly ajar. She hit play.
“Now Josh, I can only think of a few good reasons as to why you would drag me into my own office to speak with me. You’re the pastor's son, so I hope you’re not asking me to bail you out of anything.” There was a familiar and warm laugh that followed his playful words.
Your dad’s voice slipped its way through the crack in the door and your mother inched the phone forward to face the camera on them. Your father was leaning up against his desk. Josh stood with his back turned to the door, his hands anxiously fumbling behind his back. “No, no. Nothing bad.”
“Then you have me stumped.” There was a pause and your father raised his hand to gently place it upon Josh’s shoulder. “Whatever you have to say, just say it without hesitation.”
You watched Josh take in a deep breath, his whole spine stretching to accommodate his expanding lungs. “Well… Would you- I was wondering if I could-” Josh was clearly struggling to form a coherent sentence, earning a hearty chuckle from your father.
“Did I not say without hesitation?”
“No sir, you did.”
“Since when was I sir, that seems so formal.”
“Sorry , Mr. Y/l/n.”
“I’m Mr. Y/l/n now, this must be one hell of a question you’re about to ask.”
“Well I-” Josh took one more deep breath before finally blurting out his question, only to be interrupted halfway through it.
“Yes, Josh. You have my blessing to marry my daughter.” The smile on your fathers face brought equal parts joy and sorrow as you watched him beaming at Josh, laughing at his clearly amusing expression as he pieced together that your father had known the entire time what he was going to ask.
Even from the crack in the door, you could see the crimson blush on the back of his neck, and when you turned to look at him beside you, his cheeks were flushed in that same warm color. Your hand found a place upon his thigh as you focused back upon the screen.
“Are you sure?” Josh questioned in utter disbelief, expecting some sort of push back from him. He had rehearsed his long speech for hours in the mirror before he had even asked to come over to your childhood home.
“Am I sure?” Your dad laughed before a wave of seriousness overcame him. “I couldn’t be more sure, son. If any man came in here asking for my daughter's hand in marriage that wasn’t you, I would not have the same answer I gave you. You have all the qualities that she deserves, and you’re one hell of a lucky man if she says yes.”
“I am the luckiest man alive just to have her as my friend.” Josh replied, tucking his head downwards to hide the blush spreading across his cheeks from your father.
From behind the phone you could hear your mother’s soft sniffle as she readjusted the camera to get a better view of them.
“And that… That right there is why I wouldn’t want anyone else to be with her.” Your father gripped Josh’s shoulder and tugged him into an embrace. Your dad locked eyes with the camera and simply lifted up his thumb in approval of the snooping.
You were certain that there wasn’t a dry eye in the building as the screen cut to black and you turned to Josh. You opened your mouth to say something, but you must’ve looked like a beached fish, gulping for air as tears streamed down your cheeks and words failed to arrive. Josh smiled, placing a hand on one of your cheeks to wipe the tears as his lips pressed against the other.
When his lips parted from your tear soaked skin, you stood from your seat and walked over to where your mother was sitting. She looked back at you as you leaned down to wrap your arms around her. “I love you, mom.”
Her hands found your own, squeezing them gently as she leaned into your embrace. “I love you so much, sweetheart.”
After much conversation dinner had been served and devoured before you knew it. Once the plates were cleared from the table, Sam, the DJ for the night, leaned into the microphone to introduce the beginning of the dances. “Hope you two don’t mind having all eyes on you again, the first dance tonight is for the new Mr and Mrs Kiszka.”
Josh pushed his chair out, standing and offering a hand for you to take. You placed your hand in his, lifting yourself from your chair and following as he led you towards the dance floor. The doors of the barn had been opened when everyone finished eating, revealing the beautifully lit outdoor area. Lanterns hung from the branches of surrounding trees, bathing the area in a soft light as Josh came to a halt and spun around to face you.
His hands quickly found their spots, one twisting its hold on your own as the other gently wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer. “Well, hello my dazzling bride.”
You swooned, losing your footing a bit as he began to lead your movements, earning a chuckle from him as he held you tighter to counter your little slip up. “Not quite used to that yet?”
You smiled, shaking your head. “I don’t think I will for a while… but I sure do love the sound of it coming from your lips.”
He leaned in, close enough that no one would be able to see his lips as they brushed the shell of your ear. “I’ll be sure to use it all the time now.”
Your smile turned up a bit more to one side. “All the time?”
His smirked matched your own as his head returned to its previous position and his eyes met your own. “Any chance I get.”
The song came to an end as the two of you swayed, and Sam’s voice came through the mic once again. “Sorry Josh, I’m afraid you’re gonna have to hand off Y/n, it’s time for the parents to have a dance with the lovely couple.”
The two of you stepped apart, watching as Kelly led Karen towards the two of you. He handed her to Josh before stepping towards you, holding a hand out for you, which you gladly took.
You could tell that Josh had learned how to dance from his father, Kelly easily picking up a soft swaying motion with you as Sam began playing the next song.
All he could talk about was how proud he was of you, and the person you had become. He talked of how proud your own father was of you.
When the song came to an end, he placed a kiss upon your forehead and walked you back to your table. Josh and Karen were up next, Karen’s eyes already red with tears. They swayed and laughed together, Josh playfully dipped his mother half way through the song.
Karen walked Josh back to his seat, sitting beside the two of you with a grin upon her face. Sam began the playlist he crafted, leaving everyone distracted amongst themselves.
“I know with the apartment and the wedding, you guys have been tight on money.” Karen began, glancing over at Kelly. “And I firmly believe that everyone deserves a honeymoon.”
Quizzically you turned towards Josh, surprised to see the same confusion on his face. “So. We have decided to let the two of you have the keys to the cabin for the week.” Kelly presented you with the single key, a small brown bear charm hung off of the key ring.
“I… Thank you so much.” Josh placed the key within his suit pocket and nodded at his parents with a fat grin on his expression.
You, Josh and his parents continued to talk amongst yourselves about what there was to do at the cabin, until the music grew slower and you could see Josh staring at you from the corner of your eye. “Care to have our second dance, my beautiful wife?” He smiled, standing from the chair to take your hand in his.
He whisked you away to the floor, everyone making room for the two of you. Your head found a place against his warm chest and you focused on how his heart beat so steadily. Your whole left let you up to this exact moment, and you wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
Half way through the song there was a gentle tap on your shoulder, lazily you pulled yourself from Josh’s chest to be greeted with Jake. “Care if I steal her away?”
“Only if you promise to give her back.” Josh handed you off to his brother, his eyes scanning the room for who he would enjoy to finish his dance with. He landed upon your mother, lonely and longing at the table next to an empty reserved seat.
“You look remarkable…” Jake began, his eyes resting upon the top of your head as you placed it right where it once rested on Josh.
“I guess you clean up nice too.” You laughed, feeling his hand squeeze your side ever so softly. From a distance you watched as Josh crafted a smile upon your mothers face that you hadn’t seen since your father passed.
“Can you promise me something?” Jake ran his hand through one of the soft curls in your hair, using his fingers to gently spread apart a small tangle.
To feel his gentle touch relaxed you more than the alcohol had. “Hmm. Anything.”
“If at any point, he doesn’t treat you with every ounce of respect you deserve. Tell me so I can kick his ass.” Jake's voice was so gentle, so delicately spoken that it made you feel safe.
You leaned against his chest further. “You’ll be the first person I tell.”
“I better be.” His lips delicately placed a kiss to the top of your head, his arms wrapping around you to pull you into a tighter embrace. The two of you swayed side to side just like that as the song slowly transitioned to a more upbeat one.
He didn’t want to let you go, if anything he wanted that song to go on for forever. Though as the music changed he knew it was only time to release you from his arms. One single tear ran down his cheek as he kissed the top of your head one last time. “I love you, angel.”
“I love you too, Jakey.”
“I HAVE SHOTS!” Danny hollered, nearly kicking you and Jake over towards where the rest of the wedding party was dancing, his hands too full to politely escort you. Jake left your side to be by his girlfriends, planting a firm kiss on her cheek with the biggest shit eating grin on his face.
“To love.” Danny began, as he passed around the shots he had accumulated on his tiny platter. “To friendship.” He held up his small glass and waited for everyone to follow. “And most importantly, to the honeymoon.”
The teasing left you flustered, though you laughed alongside everyone else. Though you grimaced, the shot ran down smooth and in just a few seconds you gained some extra confidence.
As the night moved along, more and more people migrated between the dance floor and the table. A short break was taken to cut the cake, and the drinks were flowing.
Sam briefly let Danny take control of the booth so that he could have a dance with you. You weren’t sure you could really describe it as a dance, it was mostly just the two of you swaying back and forth while he told you stupid jokes. Only once he could see the tears in your eyes from laughter did he break off… and end up in a tipsy dance battle with Jake's girlfriend, Stevie
You excused yourself to the side for a breather, finally taking a moment to people watch your own wedding. Jake and his girlfriend were making good use of the cameras that had been left for the guests to take pictures with. He had his arm slung across her shoulder, wide grins on each of their faces as they took candids of each guest they walked past. Jake seemed focused on getting the intimate details on film, as Stevie took polaroids of people in the midst of a joyful exchange.
You hadn’t realized that someone had approached you until the subtle click of a camera broke you from your trance. Josh had his camera held to his face, watching for the realization to dawn on you, and only when you finally broke into a heart stopping, earth-shattering smile, the smile reserved specifically for him, did he press the shutter button again. He lowered the camera and closed the distance between you two. “Hello, my love. Taking a little break?”
You reached forward, wrapping your hands around his and drawing him even closer. “Yeah, after Sam and Stevie had their dance battle I needed a little breather.”
“I’m sure you did, I could hear you laughing all the way from outside the barn. I was a little offended to be honest.”
“Oh yeah?” You chuckled as your eyes traced the features of his face, the curl of his plump lips as he pouted just a little. “Why’s that?”
“I’ll tell ya, someone was playing music over the most wondrous sound in existence.” His faux pout lasted only milliseconds into his sentence, and by the time he had stopped talking, his lips were spread in a grin that was as cheesy as it was cocky.
You rolled your eyes, but your smile never faltered. “I’m fairly certain I snorted a few times.”
He leaned forward, pressing a chaste kiss to your lips. “Exactly, it’s my favorite sound.”
“My snort?”
He lifted your hands, placing them over his shoulders before dropping his own to your waist. “And all the marvelous laughter that comes before and after it.”
Through everything his touch still allowed the butterflies to swarm your stomach. How lucky you were to get to live life in love with your best friend. “I hope you’re prepared to hear that laughter for a long time.”
Josh flashed a smile, dipping down to press his forehead on yours. “I would want nothing more than to hear that happiness for forever. Till death do us part.”
Inside the barn, everyone began to retreat back to the Airbnb in order to get a safe night's rest with the alcohol running through their system. Though intoxicated, Sam had taken notice of the two of you alone outside and ensured that one last slow song would play before the end of the night.
In the distance the intro to Sam’s song played delicately. Just loud enough where you could hear the lyrics. “I could stay awake, just to hear you breathin’. Watch you smile while you are sleeping…”
“I love this song.” Your voice was just as soft against Josh’s chest as the two of you swayed side by side, the last crickets of the season chirped alongside you. There was a silence of comfort that washed over the two of you, no words were spoken as you both listened to the lyrics closely.
“And then I kiss your eyes, and thank God we’re together. And I just want to stay with you in this moment forever.”
Though he meant for it to be playful, the way he softly kissed your eyelids while humming the song against them had you melting.
Overcome with emotions Josh couldn’t stop the first thought that came to his mind. “Let's leave tonight.”
“Wait what? To the cabin?” You pulled away from him only slightly to get a good view of his face. The song faded out, leaving you and him alone with just the soft chirping of insects. “It’s only a few hours from here, we could get there before morning if we leave now. I just, I want nothing more than to be completely alone with you, right now.”
“Okay, but let's at least leave a note.” A subtle squeal ended your sentence and you jumped a few times at how spontaneous all of this was. Josh got lost in admiring your excitement, a dorky grin overtaking his cheeks as he stared at you with glazed over eyes.
The two of you quietly snuck through the side door to find a pen and paper before tiptoeing to your room to pack. Josh paced around the room, collecting all of your belongings as you wrote a note for your family and friends to read in the morning. “You don’t think anyone will be mad about this do you?”
You jumped a bit when a pair of hands suddenly landed on your shoulders and Josh’s breath tickled the side of your neck. “No one will care, it’s our wedding, angel. It’s our honeymoon.”
Once your bags were all packed and ready to go, the two of you decided to pack some snacks for the road. The two of you made your way to the kitchen, coming to a startled stop when your eyes landed on Jake as he leaned up against the fridge with Stevie sitting on the counter next to him, handing him a cupcake. “Well fuck.” She groaned, pulling a five dollar bill from her pocket to hand to Jake. “How did you know?”
“It’s just a twin thing.” Jake smirked as he looked at Stevie, a look that was quickly soiled as she smushed another cupcake into his face, smearing the icing over his nose and mouth.
Jake groaned, reaching for a paper towel to wipe the icing off of his face. He threw out the paper towel once he felt his face was clean enough, catching his twin's eyes with his own and nodding to a bag on the island. “I packed your favorites. Text me when you get there.”
Hugs were passed along between all of you as you said your goodbyes before sneaking back out of the house to pile everything into your vehicle.
You felt one of his warm arms sliding underneath your thighs, the other reaching behind your back. You were still mildly distracted with the view until you felt your ass lift from the seat about an inch before it fell back towards the cushion. “Wrap your arms around my neck, angel.” He insisted.
Doing as he asked made it easier for him to lift you up and out of the car with only a few grunts as he rearranged you in his arms. The keys, still in his suit pocket, were soon being fumbled around in his hand as he tried his best to hold you up and steady his hand by the lock.
“Give it to me.” You reached your hand out to grab the little bear charm between your fingers before effortlessly unlocking the door. “You know, you could have just picked me up after you unlocked the door.”
“Hey. I think I’m doing a damn good job, thank you very much.” He spoke through a shit eating smirk as he kicked the door open. Josh tried to take the first steps through the doorway as a married couple, but didn’t quite calculate the size of the entrance. There was a soft thunk of your head hitting the door frame that grabbed his attention. “Oh shit, are you okay?”
It was your belly roll of a laugh that answered his question, and he couldn’t stop his own chuckles from erupting as he just stood and observed you radiate happiness in his arms. “God, I should have packed a helmet apparently.”
He let you slide from his grasp, giving a light smack to your ass as he turned to walk back out to the car to grab your luggage. You turned and watched as he scurried off, giggling to himself.
With luggage in both hands he stopped in his tracks at the entryway to the bedroom to admire you as you reached behind to carefully slip from your dress. It was the subtle creek of Josh shifting his weight that had you looking up at him through your eyelashes.
“I'm going to go unpack my things in the bathroom.” Your voice was smooth and lacked the playful ambiance that Josh had left you with. “Don’t wait up.”
The dress slipped down your body and onto the floor. Cautiously, you stepped out of the circle of fabric and took your bag in the bathroom with you. The oak door clicked shut behind you, and you frantically sat your belongings on the sink to rummage through the multitude of items.
On the opposite side of the door, Josh was excitedly looking for all of the candles to place them upon every inch of the room. Striving for perfection he took his time on the placement, scooting some candles closer to others to get a romantic glow of light upon the bed. It illuminated a vase of roses, a tiny white card with his mothers handwriting stuck out above the flowers.
He pulled the card from the bouquet, reading it over as he plucked a rose from the vase.
A symbol of the beautiful love the two of you share. We hope your honeymoon is as special as the two of you deserve, we love you so much.
Mom and Dad
Josh placed the card on the dresser, leaving it tucked beside the vase as he pulled a couple more roses from the bouquet. He could hear the sound of the shower running from the other side of the bathroom door, and he took a moment to simply stand in his spot, listening as you softly began to hum a song to yourself as you cleansed your skin of the day.
It didn’t feel like you had been in the shower long when you counted yourself as sufficiently cleansed and reached down to shut the water off. You took your time to dry and moisturize your body before wrapping your hair in a towel and opening your makeup bag to collect your skincare items. You could hear what sounded like Josh pacing around the bedroom as you rinsed your face of cleanser, and you continued to listen to the soft pitter patter of his socks on the hardwood as you massaged the serums and moisturizer into your skin, step by step.
He had stopped a few times, once in front of his open suitcase to shed his suit jacket and tie. The second time was when he stepped outside for a breather, and the third was when he stopped at the side of the king size bed, welcoming the mental images his brain was conjuring up of everything he was planning on doing with you when he finally had you in his arms.
Josh was lost in his own little world, making it exceptionally easy for you to sneak out of the bathroom and tiptoe your way toward him. You felt his muscles tense up momentarily as your arms slid around him, but he quickly relaxed. Your fingers travelled the length of his torso, running along the buttons of his dress shirt until you reached the first open button.
His hands were quickly over your own, pulling them only far enough away for him to turn around, his eyes immediately taking note of your new attire. You raised your eyebrows at him as you placed your hands against his shirt once again, silently awaiting his approval. His lips curled into a smirk as he nodded at you, looking down as you began slowly undoing each button.
Now that his hands were free they were tracing down your silk robe as white as snow. They fumbled a bit unknotting the tie, but as soon as the loose ends were dangling downwards he was left mesmerized by your set hiding beneath the silk. Your bra was sheer white, as a fresh layer of snow would allow the ground to peek through from below, it allowed your breasts to shine through. His fingers danced upon the embroidered thread as delicately as he could.
His eyes explored lower and once he arrived at your navel his fingers traced the edge of your matching garter belt. He was oblivious that his whole chest was now exposed as you popped open the last button. “All of this…” His fingers softly dug into your hips as he got lost in admiration. “For me?”
Your fingers dipped beneath the band of his slacks, pushing him back as you stepped forward, leading him closer to the bed until the backs of his knees hit the mattress. “All for you, Josh, always.”
His eyes lifted to your own, and the two of you stood in a comfortable silence, simply breathing in the moment as the candles all around you bathed the two of you in a soft glow. One of his hands trailed from its spot on your hip to your face, gently running his thumb across your cheek. “I love you.”
He felt the weight of your head resting into his palm as a soft sigh fell from your lips. “I love you too, Josh.”
Josh leaned forward, brushing his lips against yours for only a moment before closing the distance. It was slow, patient even, as he slotted his lips with your own. You could feel his fingers twitch slightly before the grip of his hand tightened a bit, pulling you impossibly closer as he moved to sit on the bed. There was no part of you that wanted to part from him, your bodies moving in harmony as he drew you in to sit on his lap.
The hand he had on your jaw kept your face close to his as your hands explored his bare chest, travelling once again to the waistband of his pants, pulling his shirt from its tucked position in his slacks. The feeling of his fingers pressing into your thigh, veiled only by the thin mesh of your stockings, was fogging up your brain already.
His hands traveled down your bare thigh and used the curve of your knee to pull your legs further apart and lower you down upon his lap, just enough for there to be a touch of that heavenly friction he craved. There was a delightful hum of approval that snuck past your parted, glistening lips that only egged Josh on further. So cautiously, he slid his hand back up your thigh to hold your hips in place as he pulled your body down to grind slowly against the cloth separating you from his erection.
He knew you could feel the embroidery pressing against your core, his eyes locked onto every single movement he made. So with that in mind, he pulled you down once more for another slow and drawn out ride upon his lap. Your once regulated breath turned into soft huffs of air as the warmth encapsulated your core. Every part of your body was burning for him, your husband, the man that you would forever have the pleasure of pleasuring.
Unable to stop yourself, your hand upon his chest laid him back against the smooth comforter, and you left his lap only to slowly shimmy his pants and boxers down and off of his legs. With the barrier gone, you repositioned yourself upon his lap, feeling as his erection landed flawlessly between his stomach and your lace covered, glistening cunt.
Leaning forward you took your time leaving a trail of kisses up his goose bumped chest until you found the heartbeat along the curve of his neck. Your lips lingered there for a while to appreciate the rhythm of his rapid pulse. You pulled your hips forward to drag up against his erection, earning a firm whimper of approval from Joshua.
You savored the hitching of his breath as you dragged your hips over him for a while, a silent challenge to see which one of you would make a move for more first. It seemed as though you had held out just long enough, feeling Josh’s hands reach for you to slow your movements to a stop. You lifted your head from where it was resting, giving him a curious look as he laid beneath you, staring up at you in lust filled bliss already.
His fingers gently tapped the back of your thighs, and you raised an eyebrow at him. “Words, Josh. I wanna hear your beautiful voice, baby.”
His lips curled into a smirk as he gently swatted your thigh. “That’s my line, angel.”
You appeased him, shuffling forward just the slightest bit before stopping again. He playfully rolled his eyes, digging the tops of his fingers into your thighs a little harder, dragging you forward. “Let me taste you, baby. No need to tease.”
You melted into his grasp, allowing him to pull you higher and higher until your knees were on either side of his face. His arms remained wrapped around your thighs as he lifted his head just enough to press a chaste kiss against the arousal soaked mesh of your panties.
You could feel his tongue playfully licking at your panties but you wanted to see it. You wanted to watch every second that he pleasured you. So, you took it upon yourself to press your arms backwards, hands holding his thighs to keep you in place. Now, as you looked down the slope of your stomach you just saw his golden brown eyes, illuminated by candlelight, staring directly back into yours.
Maintaining eye contact, Josh brought his fingers up to gently pull the fabric barrier to the side and though he had seen you like this before he took a moment to truly appreciate you. Craving more, you interrupted his admiration by pushing your hips downward ever so slightly just to snap him back into reality.
“Desperate are we?” Josh hummed out, only millimeters away from where you needed his lips to be.
You squirmed in anticipation. “Please, Josh.” The whine was so needy, so pitiful that Josh sympathized with you and let his tongue glide upwards upon your slit, all the while maintaining eye contact.
Watching you, with your fucked out expression as he lapped against your core only encouraged him more. He looped an arm under and around your thighs to pull you in closer, nearly suffocating himself in the process as he sucked and licked every inch of your throbbing clit. He felt each and every time your thighs twitched against his cheeks. Every now and then he’d let his head fall to the side to catch a quick breath, but it didn’t last for long before he was back to devouring you. His wife.
He didn’t stop when he felt your stomach tense. He didn’t stop when he watched your head fall backwards. Instead he continued at a rhythmic pace. A string of melodic moans echoed around the dimly lit room, and as you clenched your legs against his cheeks you could feel the moisture cascading from your cunt and against his face. Breathy, spaced out huffs slowly regulated your heartbeat and brought you back to earth.
“You’re so damn delicious, angel.” Josh licked his lips, gently releasing his grip upon you to scoot you back down enough where he could lean up and wipe away the reflective liquids from his nose and chin.
It took you a few minutes to fully catch your breath, but it was worth it when you slid from your spot on his lap, and continued down until your knees landed on the soft rug. You watched as he lifted himself to lean forward, his lips parted as he stared down at you on your knees for him, your hands slowly inching up his thighs.
He sat, mesmerized as he watched the way your fingers danced along his skin, getting closer and closer to where he desperately needed you. The sound of a soft hum coming from you broke his trance, and his eyes lifted to see your own looked back at him as you leaned forward, ghosting your lips over the length of his cock. “You’re so pretty, Josh.”
His chuckle was breathy as he reached down to take your chin between his fingers. “My sweet girl, you’re on your knees for me, and you’re calling me pretty?”
You took advantage of his focus on your face as you nodded softly. “Mhm.” Your hand inched forward, wrapping your fingers around the base of his cock. “Prettiest man in existence I think.”
His head fell back as you gently tightened your grip on him, running your hand up his length, followed closely by a pleased hum as your lips followed in close behind, peppering kissing until your hand reached the tip of his cock. Your thumb rolled over the head, collecting the beads of precum that had been leaking out as you teased him.
“Fuck, Y/n- need your mouth, angel- please.”
You rolled your hand back down to the base, giving it a light squeeze as you stuck your tongue out and dragged it along the length of his cock. The sound of a shuddered groan slipping between his lips only fed your desire, and you responded by wrapping your lips around him and sucking. The action made him gasp, followed closely by a collection of profanities. “Fuck, Y/n- I’m not gonna last long if you keep teasing me like this, babe.”
You pulled your mouth off of him, leaning your head against his thigh as you began lazily stroking his cock with your hand. “We’ve been waiting weeks for this, Josh. You think we’re going to stop after we’ve had a taste?”
His head fell forward, his curls bouncing as he shook his head. “God no.”
You hummed before returning your mouth to his cock. You could feel every small twitch, every jolt of his hips as he tried to chase the pleasure you were inflicting. You knew he was close, you watched as his head lulled back, his eyes closed as he panted.
The smile on your face was inevitable as you listened to the disapproving groan that came from Josh when you released his cock from between your lips. You continued to use your hand on him as his head rolled back to face you, his eyes remaining closed. “Joshua, baby. Look at me.”
His eyes opened slowly, fluttering closed briefly when he saw the way you were looking up at him through your eyelashes, a much too innocent look on your face for the situation. “Open your eyes, baby. Don’t you wanna see how pretty your wife looks with your cum on her tits.”
You chuckled at how quickly Josh’s eyes shot open, his lips parted as he looked at you in mild disbelief at your vulgar words. He didn’t last long after that, succumbing to the pleasure, and watching as hot ropes of cum painted the skin of your chest. Your gaze followed his, landing on the small trails of his semen as they rolled down your chest. It was a mindless action as Josh reached forward, running his thumb over your skin to collect his own arousal before lifting it to tap over your bottom lip, a silent instruction. Your lips parted with no resistance, welcoming the weight of his thumb on your tongue.
Watching you, with his thumb in your mouth your lips wrapped around the base of it to ensure no drop went to waste, had him needing your more. He may have just came but his cock was pleading to feel more of you, all of you. Impatiently he pulled you up and over, laying you beside himself on your back.
Stunned, you sat still and watched as he stood and positioned himself between your legs. “You don’t need a moment?” You teased, impressed with his stamina.
“Fuck waiting.” The head of his cock slipped effortlessly between your soaked folds, pushing deeper into you without warning. Your widened eyes encouraged him further, he slowly pushed deeper until he couldn’t physically go any further. “Just wanna feel you.”
Josh arched his back upwards ever so slightly to angle his pelvis deliciously against your clit. Instead of pulling out to get a thrust in, he simply rocked his hips in a way that shifted his pelvis, rolling it against your sensitive nub. It was intimate and slow, and while you were desperate for him the intimacy was fulfilling.
His hands were beside your breasts, arms straight up to hold his body above yours. With his hips continuing to rock against you, you could already feel that familiar sensation building up in your stomach. Your eyes caught the way his arms quivered, elbows locked as he fought to keep himself composed. With a gentle touch, you ran a hand along his arm, the other lifting to brush over his cheek. “Take a breath, Josh, come back to me.”
You watched as he visibly relaxed, pushing the position of his arms and lowering himself so that his chest was just millimeters from your own, his face coming to rest in the curve of your neck. “Love you so much, Y/n- fuck, you’re perfect.”
You wrapped a leg around his, fully embracing the moment in its entirety. Josh’s warm yet minty breath huffed directly against your neck between his lazy kisses. “I love you too Josh. Always.” Your words were reciprocated with one strong thrust from Josh before he returned back to his original pace.
He was lost in the moment, huffing and panting against your neck. Lost in the love he had for you. God, you’re my wife. You’re mine. He would say between breaths. I fucking love you, I love you so much angel. The pure admiration and lust swirling in his words was inching you closer to your release, so you leaned downwards to place your ear almost directly against his lips.
“Keep going.” You murmured, though it was quiet he heard you loud and clear.
“I love you. Everything about you. I love how good your pussy feels, and the fact it’s all mine. Fuck, you’re all mine, forever.” He was lost in his own train of words, but the grumping against your lips had your thighs clenching around Josh’s hips. Every thrust combined with the vibrations of his voice brought you closer until you could finally feel it snap in your stomach. Your head flew backwards, neck outstretched for his viewing pleasure.
You let out a string of moans as your back arched against him, pushing him off the bed slightly as you squirmed from the consistent rounds of lighting coursing through your veins. When you came to, your body relaxed completely underneath him. “Fuck.” You huffed out, still trying to steady your breath.
“My wife is so sexy.”
His lips found the sweat dampened skin of your chest as your breathing slowly regulated, and your fingers quickly found their way into his hair, winding themselves into the shaggy curls. “I could say the same about my husband.”
Your pussy fluttered at the overstimulation as you felt him rock against you again, lifting himself until his lips were hovering over your own, a cocky smile plastered on his face. “Oh yeah?”
You tried to close the distance, but he pulled back, clicking his tongue at you. “Tell me about it, angel. Let me hear that pretty voice of yours.”
You couldn’t stop yourself from letting out a whine that sounded a touch more desperate than you were intending as you arched your back to press yourself against him. He chuckled and pressed a soft kiss to your lips. “You still want more, angel? If you want it, all you have to do is ask.”
Your leg tightened around his hip, providing even the slightest friction of his cock, still buried inside of you. “I want it all, Josh. Need you to fill me up, baby.”
You groaned in disappointment as he slowly pulled out of you, standing up straight and taking a moment to simply take in the vision of you laid out on the bed for him. He got back onto the bed, leaning against the headboard and turning to see you watching his every move. “Come here, angel.”
You had no desire to argue, crawling your way into his lap. One of his hands quickly found your hip, holding you above him just enough for the other hand to tease the head of his cock through your folds. Your head fell to his shoulder when it brushed over your overstimulated clit, earning a low hum from deep within Josh’s chest. “Is my girl feeling sensitive?”
You nodded against the skin of his shoulder, too overwhelmed for words. He ran the tip across your clit again, smirking at the way your hips flinched away from the contact. “Do we need to take a little break?”
When your response was to simply shake your head, his fingers wound into the hair at the base of your skull, drawing you gently away from his shoulder to look him in the eye. “Words, Y/n. Need you to tell me if we need to stop.”
Your lips parted, and though it took a few deep breaths before you could, you eventually managed to croak out, “Don’t stop. Need you inside me, Josh.”
The fingers he had in your hair traced along your jawline, his thumb eventually resting against your lip. “I want to hear all those pretty little noises you make, angel. No one else is here, there's no need to be quiet.”
Your lips parted in a breathless moan as he lined himself up and slowly lowered you onto his cock. Though he was the one teasing and inching his way inside of you, you watched as his jaw dropped at the way you perfectly encapsulated his dick. He cussed out through clench teeth as you teasingly clenched around his length.
Leaning forward, you pressed your head into the crook of his neck and lifted your hips away from him, slowly arching your back downwards to lower yourself slowly back down the length of his cock. You repeated this motion, fueled by the grunts and whimpers that slipped from Josh’s swollen lips.
He rested his hands upon your hips, aiding in your rocking motion to push you down and roll his hips inside of you in a way that allowed for every single inch of his length to feel the inside of your warmth. A steady rhythm was introduced, and eventually the overstimulation grew uncontrollable and it took every ounce of concentration to keep your motions steady.
Josh wasn’t ignorant to this, if anything he wanted to help you more. The hold on your hips got a bit firmer as he now lifted you a few inches upwards, and from below began to fuck you. The sounds alone were delightfully sinful. Your whimpers grew sporadic and you desperately reached down to grab hold of his shoulder to help steady yourself. The sensitivity was overbearing but in a way that left you craving more.
“Want you to cum again…” Josh breathed out, focused on not skipping a beat. “Want to spoil you…” You could tell by the short, cut up, sentences that he himself was on the edge of his release once more. His fucked out gravely voice left your neck stretching backwards.
“Josh, together? Please?” He asked you to use your words and that was exactly what you did. He seemed to appreciate it though, as his jaw hung open to allow a groan to slip past his tongue.
“I’m almost there, baby.” His thighs tensed up below you, and you took back control of the situation. The two of you got lost in the sensation. Eventually your foreheads were pressed against one another, a few lazy kisses were shared. It was the warmth of his release inside of you that had you spiraling above him. The two of you whimpered and moaned in unison crafting a wonderful harmony. Solidifying your relationship more than it already had the day before. You wanted nothing more to live in this balance of love and lust for just a while longer, but your body grew weak.
Josh pushed through one last thrust and the motion of his hips sent you falling forwards against his chest.
“Josh… There’s a washing machine here…” You turned your head to the side to try and make eye contact. “Right?”
“I think at the rate we’re going… We’re just going to have to buy new sheets.”
“Are you serious? Like, actually, one hundred percent serious?”
You giggled at the shocked look on Josh’s face as you looked at him from beneath the blankets. He was on the way to the bathroom, still groggy from his slumber as he trudged into the en-suite when you casually made a suggestion that stopped him in his tracks. “Yes, Josh. I am one hundred percent serious.”
The speed in which he spun around and ran into the bathroom. He left the door open for you to watch as he riffled through your drawers. You could see the way he lit up when he found it, turning to you with a triumphant grin before stepping on the little pedal of the trashcan and dropping your last package of birth control into the bin.
Josh spent the next couple weeks collecting as much information as he could on pregnancy, and everything you could possibly need to assist with conception. You were just enjoying the baby making process. Every possible moment he could be between your legs, he took, clearly eager and excited about the prospect of getting his wife pregnant.
The arrival of your last period slowed the two of you down a bit. When you woke up alone, you were undoubtedly disappointed, you slid from beneath the covers to go find him, pulling on your slippers and shuffling out of your bedroom. You had no luck, instead finding a note on the kitchen counter to inform you that he had gone to get groceries, and would be back soon.
You huffed, turning and opening the fridge to look for something to eat, staring into it for a few minutes before the sound of the door unlocking captured your attention. You moved to meet him at the door as it swung open, a wide grin on your face as your eyes landed on Josh with an armful of grocery bags. You reached forward, taking a couple of the bags from him as he entered the apartment. The two of you made your way to the kitchen, comfortably quiet as you unloaded the groceries.
Josh placed the bags in his arms onto the counter before turning to watch as you stood across the kitchen from him, wearing one of his old tee shirts and a pair of panties as you pulled items from one of the bags and separated them so that you could put them away quickly. He abandoned his own bags after getting any frozen or refrigerated item stored away, opting instead to wrap his arms around your waist and press a kiss to your temple. “So my app says that today is your most fertile day.”
You spun within his grasp, turning to him with a mildly confused painted on your features. “You have an app?”
His grip on you tightened, pulling you close enough for his lips to brush against your own. “Of course I do, I just wanna make my angel a momma.”
Your lips broke into a smile, and you pressed a chaste kiss to his lips. “I know you do, my love. You’ve been showing up to my work with special juice everyday.”
Josh threw his head back with a hearty chuckle. “Well, yeah. They have vitamins in them to help your body get ready to grow a human.”
You leaned forward, littering a few kisses over the expanse of his throat. “You know what I really need right now?”
Josh’s head lifted to look at you, his eyes quickly catching the way yours had darkened. “What is it baby? I’ll get you anything you want, just give me a list.”
Your smile dropped to a smirk as you brushed your lips against his once again. “You.”
You were swept off of your feet within seconds, being speed walked towards your bedroom. His enthusiasm had you giggling the entire way to the bedroom, but quickly stopped when he tossed you onto the bed and tore his shirt over his head. He watched as you readjusted to lay against your pillows, and you watched with bated breath as he untied the drawstring of his sweatpants and pushed them and his boxers down his legs. He kicked the clothing to the side before crawling onto the bed.
“I think instead of making me drink those juices… I should just call off work for the week and do this the entire time…” Josh moved to be on top of you, his knees pushing your legs to the side though he didn’t have to do much work.
“Oh? Is that so?” He hummed, leaning down to delicately nip at your collarbone, ensuring that the soft pink blood spots rose to the surface. “You don’t think you’d get tired of it?” His kisses lowered until his teeth were grazing across your nipple.
You sucked in a deep breath at the sensation before retaliating. “Joshua. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of your cock.”
The vulgarity of your language had Josh glancing upwards at you, his jaw dropped into a smirk. “Is that so? You want my dick inside that pretty pussy of yours?” He gently bit down on your nipple, but with enough force to produce a gasp of surprise from you.
You reached down to grab hold of the back of his head and pulled him up so his face was aligned with yours. “I want you to follow through with your words and put a baby in me, Joshua.”
There was no rebuttal, no protest, as Josh slammed his lips upon yours as if he were touch starved. As if he had gone years without a meal and you were offering him a buffet. There was a quiet, yet noticeable, grunt that echoed in his throat as you gently dug your nails into the skin of his neck.
His hand snaked up your side and approached your throat, grasping the sides of it firmly to grab your attention and control of the situation. “If you want me to make you a mother, a mother is what you’ll be.” Typically, he would be an advocate for foreplay, but he could already see how glistening your core was as it anticipated him.
So instead, he lined up his throbbing cock with your entrance, playfully using his free hand to glide the head up and down your slit to help spread around your arousal. It wasn’t a difficult task as there was plenty to go around. You squirmed below him, desperate to feel every single inch pushing against your walls.
“Josh… Come on.” You whined, earning a shit eating grin from Josh as he softly tapped your clit with the head.
“Beg for it. I want to hear that pretty mouth of yours begging for it.” The grip he had on your throat tightened ever so softly and his attention once again landed upon clit as he teased it so mercilessly.
“Fuck Josh, please. I need you. I need you so bad, baby. Please just fill me up.” You bucked your hips upwards at an attempt for him to accidentally slide inside of you, and to your surprise it actually worked this time.
“So impatient. So fucking spoiled. I’ve treated you so damn good you think you can just take what you want?” He laughed softly as he leaned down to press his nose against yours. “You can have anything you want, baby, but on my terms.”
Though he wanted to continue the teasing, he knew you were all too needy for him and in return he succumbed to your begging and gave you exactly what you desired. Without warning, he let every single inch slip its way inside of you, smirking as you gasped. “Is that not what you’ve wanted this whole time?” He teased.
“Fuck Josh. It is. Keep going, please.” Again, he did as you wished and began a flawless rhythm as his dick repeatedly slammed inside of you. He was desperate for what he wanted and let that desperation fuel him. He wanted nothing more than to be a father. To be the person that stood alongside you as you brought another human into this world. Fuck, he was going to get to that point one way or another.
He released the grip upon your throat to fall forward and place his elbows alongside your head. His lips brushed against the shell of your ear. “I’m going to fill up every single bit of that gorgeous cunt until you’re the mother of my child, do you understand that?”
Just hearing the rasp in his voice as he talked you through his plans for the night had you squirming below him in sensory overload. “I understand. That’s exactly what I want Josh. Please.”
“God you’re such a good girl. How did I get so lucky?” A few good thrusts later and he was pulling away from you. He pulled out, and with a tap of your hip you knew exactly what he wanted and willingly rolled over to be on your hands and knees, or more so your face and knees. Your ass was up in the air and ready for him and he couldn’t control himself when his hand came down to smack upon it. The pain rippled through your body, but it was desirable.
You felt him ease into you this time, knowing that he was just staring down to admire the way it slipped inside. His pace picked back up and before you knew it his nails were digging crescent moon shaped indents within your hips.
The repetitive sound of his hips slapping against your ass was music to your ears, while the constant flow of your moans was the music to his. His hands ran up your spine until he was able to grab a fist full of hair and use it as a set of reins to crank your head backwards. “I don’t wanna hear you muffled, angel. I want to hear those moans as loud as they come.”
The tension on your head, the pain that was just now dying down from his smack to your ass, all of it added to the stimulation you felt from his mesmerizing motions. Quicker than you anticipated that all too familiar edge of your orgasm came to light.
“Hmm I can tell you’re gonna cum for me.” Josh groaned. “I can always feel you clenching against my cock when it’s about to make you cum.”
He was right, and soon your head was being pushed into the mattress as your body lurched forward with the rounds of sensation that amplified with every single motion of Josh’s hips. The near scream of your pleasure had Josh struggling to hold himself together, and nearly alongside you, the warmth of his finish filled you just as he promised.
With heavy breaths, he remained stationary, pressing his hand firm upon your back to instruct you to hold still. “Now you’re going to sit just like that for five minutes. Got it?”
You nodded your head in understanding. “Got it.” If anything you arched your back more, ensuring that after Josh slipped out of you none of it would spill outwards until it was time.
“Actually, wait.” Your voice was a bit strained after your activities, but Josh stopped moving and raised an eyebrow at you. “Can I lay on my back with a pillow or something? This is gonna make my neck sore.”
Josh chuckled, his hands reaching for your hips to flip you onto your back, tucking a pillow beneath your hips and crossing your legs at the ankle before reaching for your phone and handing it to you. “Better?”
You beamed at him, taking your phone from between his fingers and letting your head fall back against the pillow. “Better. Thank you, my love.”
The next morning differed drastically. You woke up on your back, the feeling of Josh’s lips peppering kisses up the length of your throat rousing you from your slumber. “Good morning, my love.” Your voice was laced with sleep as you began gently running your fingers through his curls.
He hummed, detaching from the spot on your neck that he had been kissing and nipping at for a while. “Good morning, angel.”
You could feel the slow roll of his hips against yours, the weight of his cock remaining as his hips stopped moving. You added a bit more pressure to your fingers as they ran along his scalp, earning a low groan, and another, more purposeful roll of his hips against your own. “What’s got you so worked up this morning, Josh?”
His head settled against the curve of your neck, and he pressed a long, warm kiss to the skin before responding. “I had a dream last night.”
“Oh yeah?” You hummed, letting your legs slowly pull apart, letting Josh's hips settle further against yours as he went back to kissing the spot on your neck. “Tell me about it.”
“You were pregnant. We had uh- we had just found out.” You hummed in response as he began to tell you about it, trailing a hand along the sheets next to you until you reached your hip, slipping it between your bodies. “And we got to do an ultrasound-”
His words trailed off to a groan as you wrapped your fingers around his cock. “How did I look pregnant?”
He chuckled a bit, strain evident in his voice as you slowly began to run your hand along his length. “Fucking beautiful.”
You smiled, moving to run the head of his cock through your folds, revealing to him just how wet you were. “Are you gonna put a baby in me, Josh?”
He nodded against your skin, jutting his hips into your hand as you continued to tease it through your arousal. “Wanna put a baby in you so bad, angel.”
You lined up the tip of his cock with your entrance and loosened your grasp on him. The moment your fingers left his skin he rocked forward, inching into you slowly. You readjusted beneath him, helping him to find a comfortable position for the two of you as he drew his hips back, and sinking back into you with a bit more enthusiasm. “So what was it like? Your dream.”
He giggled as he rocked his hips into yours. “Unreal, Y/n. If the real thing is anything like that dream, I can’t wait.”
His hips fought to keep a steady rhythm, but you knew how Josh could get in the morning. Days where he was so needy and eager left him struggling to last long, but you loved them. His moans and whimpers were muffled as he kept his lips attached to your skin, but you heard them all, you loved every miniscule noise that left his lips in the haze of such pleasure. You ran your fingernails along the expanse of his back, clenching yourself around him. His hips stuttered as he finished, a deep groan falling from between his lips. You helped him through the come down, gently rubbing his back as he caught his breath. “I’m sorry, angel.”
You chuckled and tilted your head to press a kiss to his temple. “Why are you sorry, my love.”
“You didn’t finish.”
“It’s okay, Josh”
He looked up at you, offended by your words. “It absolutely is not okay.”
You giggled, an idea popping into your head as you spotted his hand on your waist. “You know.” You wrapped your hand around his, dragging it over your stomach to your navel. “There’s always something else you can use to get me there.”
His eyebrow lifted, and he quickly clued into what you were talking about. Both of you groaned at the loss of contact as Josh pulled out of you, but he got the satisfaction of watching your eyes flutter shut when he slid his fingers through the mixture of your arousal and his own. “You want my fingers, angel?”
You nodded, hoping it would be enough, and for once it was. Josh slid two of his fingers into you, curling them in just the way he knew you liked, watching in satisfaction as you arched into him, and listening as you repeated his name like a mantra.
The pace he set had you teetering on the edge of an orgasm faster than you expected. “Josh, I’m so close.”
His lips found the curve of your jaw, pressing a few lingering kisses there as he kept the pace, matching it as he rubbed small patterns over your clit. “Cum for me, angel. Look so pretty when you cum all over my fingers.”
Your orgasm flowed through you like a rolling tide, every muscle relaxing into the mattress below you. Josh slowed his fingers as he worked you through your release, pulling out once your breathing became more even. The two of you stayed laying like that for a while, tipping in and out of slumber in the comfort of each other's embrace. “Can we sleep for a bit longer?”
Josh’s arms tightened around you, and you could feel the rumble of his chest as he spoke. “Yes.”
You smiled, nuzzling a bit closer to him. “Good… but we need to remember to wash these sheets when we get out of bed.”
“I know that look, Josh, if you know why your brother was just as insistent about this dinner as we are, why won’t you just tell me?” Your legs were dangling off the counter as you watched Josh scramble around the kitchen, collecting all the ingredients he needed to start making dinner.
“It’s just a feeling, babe. And if I told you, not only would it not be a surprise, if it’s not what I think it is, we’re both just going to be disappointed.” He added one last ingredient to his pile before turning to you and placing his hands against the counter, boxing you in. “Just be patient, angel. They’ll be here before you know it.”
To his credit, Josh was right about time going by quickly as the two of you prepared dinner, eventually realizing the time and shuffling away from the kitchen to get ready. You were applying makeup at the bathroom mirror when Josh came up from behind you, his hands looping around your stomach to pull you in closer. “You look absolutely stunning, angel.” He moved your hair away from your neck to softly kiss the exposed skin.
“Is that so?” You leaned your head downwards, allowing him more room to kiss a line down your spine.
“Radiant, even.” He stopped kissing you once his lips reached the edge of your shirt, and instead he removed his hands from your stomach and brought them up to dig his thumbs into your shoulders. Though you enjoyed the massage, a portion of you was prepared for his kisses to continue further, so you let out a huff of disappointment. “I can’t distract you for too long, they’ll be here in about half an hour.”
“That’s plenty of time.” You protest, turning around to face him now, your hands reaching for his belt buckle.
Josh’s smirk expanded across his cheeks as he reached down to grab your hand in his. “After dinner. I promise.” He admired the small pout that formed on your mouth because of his words, and pressed his thumb against your bottom lip. “I haven’t broken a promise yet, have I?”
“No.” Your tone was a tad desperate, wallowing in the loss of contact as he turned to put on deodorant.
You walked up behind him, taking advantage of his raised arms to wrap your own around his waist. “I love you.”
You could feel the tumblr of his chest as he chuckled, lowering his arms to rest over yours. “I love you too.”
The two of you managed to finish getting dressed as soon as Jake knocked on your front door. You almost jogged out to the living room to welcome them in, Josh following closely behind. Stevie greeted you first with a warm and welcoming embrace, Jake following behind for his bear hug that you had missed so much.
The bottle of wine clinked against your back, and you curiously pulled away from the hug to take a look at what brand it was. “Hey you remembered!” You exclaimed, grabbing the Arrington Firefly Rosé from his hands.
“How could I forget? You and Josh drank the full bottle in one night.”
You smiled at the memory, taking the wine with you to the kitchen as Josh led the two of them toward the dining table. When you walked back with three wine glasses in hand, Jake sent a curious glance in your direction. You placed the wine on the table as Josh went to gather the food, placing glasses in front of the others spots at the table, the glass of water you had been sipping on when they arrived still sitting in your spot. “No wine for you, Y/n?”
You lifted your glass, taking a sip before responding. “Maybe later. My stomach has not been a friend to me today, so I’ll have to see how dinner makes me feel.”
Jake lowered his suspicion but the squint in his eye was very much still apparent as he pulled the chair out for Stevie to sit. Josh happily brought over the stuffed shells, garlic bread and side salad that the two of you managed to make entirely from scratch.
There was a roar of chatter as everyone took their first serving of food, the steam rolling off the ceramic plates carrying with it the most delightful scent of basil and tomato sauce. You were uncharacteristically silent, forking small bites into your mouth as you insisted on being more observant for once.
As everyone joined you in eating, an awkward silence washed upon the table. You could tell that both Josh and Jake were biting their tongues as hard as physically possible to keep both of their secrets under locks.
That was, until they simply couldn’t hold it back anymore.
“We’re pregnant!”
“We’re engaged!”
The two of them spoke over one another in unison, almost so perfectly they couldn’t quite pick up every word that was said. You were positive it was simply due to them being twins that they both managed to understand one another perfectly.
Jake stood from the table, a finger pointed directly at you with the largest, toothy grin you’d ever see him wear. “I KNEW it” He slapped his hand down on the table with excitement. “I knew something was up when you said no to wine! You’ve forced me to get you wine between your drunk vomit sessions before. I should have been harder on you.”
You remained quiet, but your smile was as wide as physically possible as you watched Jake look between you and Josh with one of the most excited expressions you’ve ever seen on him. He ran around the table and pulled you from your chair, wrapping his arms around you in a tight hug and swaying the two of you side to side. “Go easy there Jake, I wasn’t lying when I said my stomach has not been kind to me.”
His movement stopped as quickly as they had started, and he gently placed you back on the floor, his hands remaining on you as he pulled back, his smile so wide that you were convinced his cheeks were going to start to cramp up.
Jake knelt down, his hands moving to the front of your stomach. His face was blocked by his hair in such a way you couldn’t see the tears welling up in the corner of his eyes. “Hey little one.” He whispered, rubbing his thumb back and forth slowly against your stomach. “I’m your uncle. You’re going to be hearing my voice a lot, so just know. Never listen to Uncle Sammy.”
“Already teaching our child the important life lessons.” Josh laughed along, looking over towards Stevie who was also tearing up. “And if I heard right, congratulations on you two! I don’t want us to have all the attention, you guys deserve a celebration.”
Jake stood up and walked back over to Stevie, carefully pulling her hand up from the table to show off the ring he had purchased for her. “Look at this bad boy.”
You walked over, taking her hand out of his and inspecting the ring on her finger. “It’s beautiful, really suits you I think. So how’d he do it? I mean, I know how much he had to prep just to ask you to move in with him so I can only imagine how nervous he must have been.”
Her face just lit up at the question, as you were the first person she officially got to tell the story to. “So… We all know Jake plays guitar. So one night he told me he wrote a song for me and of course I sat down to listen.” She reached over to grab his arm. “He began the song and half way through it he accidently dropped his pick on the ground, when he came back up from looking for it he was on one knee and he had magically found a ring instead of his guitar pick.”
Jake was blushed, fully reddened in the cheeks as she described the events in detail. “I was shaking horribly. I’m surprised I even got the ring on her finger when she said yes.”
The four of you chin chatted a bit more as you spoke about their engagement, finally settling enough to finish eating your dinner with the news out in the open. Stevie took a sip of her wine before turning to you. “So how far along are you?”
You smiled, placing your fork on your plate and looking over to Stevie. “Doctor said around seven weeks, we just found out a few days ago.”
She smiled, everyone at the table clearly buzzing with more excitement than usual. “So you’re early days still, first trimester?”
You nodded, taking a sip of your water. “Yup. We’re keeping it kinda under wraps until the second trimester just to be safe, but Josh and I both knew he would explode if he wasn’t able to tell someone, especially Jake.”
Every single one of you stuffed your stomachs full of the homemade meal while conversing about the major life events that just got shared amongst yourselves. Jake and Josh were both leaning back in their chairs, giving their stomachs more room to expand.
“I think it’s time we head out.” Jake stood from his seat, stretching upwards rather dramatically. Once again you felt his hand brush against your stomach. “Don’t get into too much trouble little one, but if you do Uncle Jakey will always bail you out of it.”
The sound of your front door opening alerted you to the arrival of Jake and Stevie as you prepped veggies in the kitchen. Josh was in the backyard getting the barbeque ready, and you weren’t sure where exactly your daughter was. You had left her on the couch, but she had taken after her father with her tendency to wander. The front door was closed, and you could hear the sound of them making their way to the kitchen when their footsteps came to a sudden stop and a shrill scream echoed through the halls. “UNCLE JAKEY!”
“CECE!”
You smiled as Stevie walked into the kitchen. “That kid has one hell of a set of lungs.”
You chuckled and turned to face her. “Believe me, I know.”
The two of you stood across from each other chatting for a few minutes, waiting for one of your husbands to walk into the kitchen. Jake had gotten sucked into a conversation with Celeste in the hallway, and he wouldn’t dare cut it any shorter than she would go. Another trait she definitely got from Josh, she was very long winded, impressively so for a small human with such a limited vocabulary. “Why is aunty Stevie acting icky?”
Jake squatted down to be more level with her. “What do you mean, Cece?”
She looked back toward the kitchen before returning her gaze to her uncle. “Aunty Stevie looks like she’s gonna be sick.”
He chuckled as her nose crinkled up and she lightly shook her head. “Oh, she’ll be alright Cece, she’s just not feeling too good today.”
“Why?”
“It’s a secret, but she’ll be alright, I promise.”
He knew he was going to cave when her bottom lip jutted out, and her honey brown eyes widened. “But Uncle Jakey, you said you’d never keep secrets from me.”
He sighed, and pulled her closer.
You watched as Stevie fought to keep a straight face, the muscles in her jaw clenching. You knew the look, and as Jake and Celeste ran through the kitchen and out onto the patio. “Daddy daddy. Uncle Jakey told me I’m going to have a cousin.” She stopped in her tracks and tilted her head to the side a bit. “What’s a cousin?”
You were shocked by the words, whipping your head around to watch as your toddler pulled on Josh’s hand. The sound of Stevie gagging next to you quickly captured your attention, and you shuffled as fast as you could to the pantry to grab her a sleeve of saltines.
In the midst of the chase Jake was taken to the ground by a small barbie doll dressed up for the ball. He rolled onto his back, looking up with innocent eyes at his twin brother. “Surprise!” He winced weakly, immediately looking over towards Celeste.
She looked back at him with a straight face, still awaiting an answer to her question. “So- uh… what’s a cousin uncle Jakey?”
Jake looked up to his twin for assistance, and Josh offered a hand to help him off of the floor. Once he was standing, Jake stepped to the side, and Josh kneeled to look your daughter in the eye. “Aunty Stevie is going to have a baby.”
Her eyes lit up, the excitement flowing through her in an instant. “Like how mommy is gonna have a baby?”
Both of the twins chuckled at her enthusiasm, and Josh nodded. “Yes, sweetheart. Just like how mommy is gonna have a baby.”

Hi Nohr, I hope I'm not being rude for asking but I read you have ARFID? What is it like for you? I think I may have it but Im afraid of 'self diagnosing' and being judged 😖
hiii sweetheart! ✨ youre not being rude at all, im very open about my issues and stuff, so ill be happy to talk to u about it !! (if u also wanna rant or open up abt ur situation more privately u can go off anon (if ur comfortable) and ill reply privately or thru dm's <3)
and yep, ive had arfid my entire life. its been different things that have been safe foods at different periods of my life !!
im putting the rest under a read more bcos i go into detail of my current restricted diet and stuff, so if that triggers anyone, they wont be forced to see it !! its also just a bit long lmao
rn its Very bad and the only things i can get thru my mouth is crushed corn flakes, gummy bears, a specific ice cream and on/off cucumbers. like ive eaten nothing else since sunday and very little of either. anything else i try makes me gag, nauseous or can even give me meltdowns if forced to eat. im dizzy all the time rn and very frustrated about it 🙂↕️ its also sooo embarrassing because like ??? my dude those safe foods are literally candy? and im afraid i seem like i just do it to eat candy but its not and i feel so ashamed 😭
i AM hungry tho; i feel the hunger and the low blood sugar, so i try to eat, get clammy and/or triggered and then thats that. cant try again until ive regulated back to a calm state of mind and feel ready to try again.
i also react strongly to my roomie's food/the smell. i have to go into another room if they eat anything with a strong scent, or sit in the opposite end of the living room. luckily, theyre VERY understanding of it so they dont get offended!!!
as i said im going thru a kind of extreme phase right now, but in my usual day-to-day life theres still tons of food i can eat. when im stressed, have my period, big decisions or other life crisis my food selection instantly limits themselves.
but like normally i have at least 10-12 different safe food meals, besides my 2-3 comfort foods and am usually more willing to try new stuff and comfortable exploring new things.
my current arfid flare-up started during early summer where i started repeating the same three meals (like last year when i lived off of onigiri and ramen) ill go to great lengths to prepare and make the food that is safe but as soon as its unsafe, i dont go thru the trouble anymore; thats usually my first warning sign. i repeat few meals and feel safe eating less and less varieties.
for me its not about calories or weight restrictions; its 100% sensory input. im not afraid of having adverse reactions like allergies, i just physically LOATHE the food in my mouth, it grows as i chew it and it instantly triggers my gag reflex.
theres little else to do about it but go thru it as best as i am able, drink lots of water and then supplement with shakes of fruit and protein powder. usually my arfid is a symptom of distress, which means i have to fix the underlying issue before it goes back to normal.
you should never fear self-diagnosing in any capacity, because the only thing an 'official' diagnosis is important for is a) treatment accessibility and b) inner understanding and comfort in knowing youre not alone. in a lot of countries, assessments like these cost so much with no insurance, so theres no shame in learning and figuring out yourself.
even if you end up not 'qualifying' for an arfid diagnosis, it does nOT take away your issues around food or the validity in your search for solutions !!!!
i wish no one would get judged for any 'quirky' eating habits but i think its something - depending on what youre able to eat - you may need to face daily or weekly. i have a very understanding circle of people around me, and ive been struggling with eating since i was a kid, so many people in my circle are also just. used to it. they worry and in the past theyve tried to force me to eat by taking me to restaurants that didnt have my safe foods to entice me to eat differently which is ALWAYS humiliating (they dont do it anymore). theyve since learned that taking it into consideration is way easier for everyone, and will make for a more positive experience if they want me included in the eating part of anything social.
a way to handle it is to practice how to respond to judgy comments, and figuring out what you want to get out of those. are you interested in educating them about arfid and why it is hard for you? maybe learn and remember some facts or offer some sources to send that they can read, and that youre happy to explain your experiences (if you are). maybe youre just looking to appease the situation and make your eating a non-topic? then shut it down 'nicely' with a smile and a laugh like 'yea, i definitelt am picky ahaha'. it can feel a bit like shooting yourself down choosing that road, but if its people u know you dont want to have the discussion with/will make it uncomfortable or youre just not that interested in opening up to them, you can shut it down like that. for me, practicing a few formulated replies in case anyone comments on it, have made it way less anxiety inducing for me to join in social gatherings and feel less blindsided !! (and if i have to go out to eat somewhere new i check the menu online beforehand!)
my twin has pretty hardcore arfid too and when we were kids, a little worse than me, so in some aspects ive never really been alone with my issues or felt completely ashamed because she was going through the same thing, which in my case, was lucky. i wasnt the odd one out or the weird kid (we were the weird twins tho lmao but we had each other !!!) but im sure finding community in facebook groups or even here (with me or others) can also really help on the shame around being so picky. let me know if you have any more questions or wanna talk about ur experiences, im genuinely genuinely always up for a chat and here for anyone who needs it !!! 🥰🧡
#nohr.talks#lovenote: anonymous 🥰✨#thank u for trusting me and coming to me !!!!! im hugging you ill always be there <3333333#this is also okay to rb if anyone wants to. arfid is very stigmatised so if itd help anyone im comfortable w that

Ooh! For the prompts, maybe 10 with Ishimondo? I love the idea of Mondo really hating his laugh because of how goofy and loud it is! Like, he’s all “biker gang leaders don’t laugh like that!” And Taka’s all “Well, they are now!” X3
Words: 1028
Summary: Mondo hates his laugh so Taka decides its his time to do something.
AN: Uncle if you see this you really dont have to read this. This blog is a T-word blog so it has T-word fics and therefore its not necessary for you to read it.
AN pt.2: I akin to this prompt since I hate the sound of my own voice and laugh. I sound like a broken stove top kettle trying to fix itself while dragging behind, a wagon thats missing 1.5 wheels.
-------------------------------------------------------
Mondo and Taka had been hanging out in their shared dorm after school. Mondo had chucked himself, lazily on him bed without taking off his loafers nor his jacket. Taka on the other hand, was carefully undoing his boots and taking off his over shirt, laying it on the back of the chair, sitting at the desk.
"What a great day! Wouldn't you say so too, Kyodai?" Taka was always such a boastful person when it came to his learning abilities.
"I don't understand what you mean." Mondos voice was gruff, and tired sounding, "I don't know what you mean. We just sit in the same spot all day and we don't learn anything. Its the same everyday!" He sighed under his breath and squinted at the bright ceiling titty that lit up the dim rooms, the hopes peak students lived in.
"What do you mean? I think we learned lots today!" He put his hands on his hips with a wide smile, as if he was proud of himself. It was then, Mondo decided to stop blinding himself by staring at the light. He blinked away floaties before looking at his boyfriend.
"Maybe you do, but I don't think I have the ability to learn anything." Mondo layed his hands under his head, intertwining the fingers as to not slip.
"You don't understand Kyodai!" Taka walked over, sitting on the bed, next to Mondo, and gave his boyfriend a small kiss on the forehead, pushing his corn hair back a little. Mondo winced at the kiss as if he was in pain, but Taka knew he just wasn't used to it, due to the smile planted on the bikers face. Taka chuckled under his breath, still close to Mondos face. Takas breath lightly grazed the taller boys neck making him giggle. His smile quickly turned to dissatisfaction as he groaned a little. "Something wrong, love?" He requested an answer from the boy under him.
"No no, I'm fine." Mondo suggested, but Taka wasn't going to take any of it.
"I know somethings wrong love." He forced Mondo to look at him, by taking taking his chin in his hand hand gently forcing it towards him. "You can trust me." He left a gentle kiss in Mondos nose, making his stomach fill with butterflies.
"I just don't like my laugh. I run a biker gang. Bikers shouldnt sound so stupid when they laugh. Were supposed to be intimidating. Y'know what I'm saying bro?" Taka just blinked before a creeping smile, snuck slowly onto his face.
"Oh I think I know. But now they do, y'know what I'm saying?" Takas tone dialed down to a more ominous, joking kind.
"Uhm no. I don't know what you're talking about." Mondo tried to sit up but gently pushed him back down. The soft look that Taka wore was but only a facade for what he had planned for his boyfriend.
"Oh no, where do you think you're going?" The soft facade turned to a smirk of pure amusement as his boyfriend portrayed nothing but anxiousness and confusion, which quickly switched to a wide smile that which kept a laugh behind its tough bars. "Come on, you cant hold back forever~" Takas sickeningly sweet voice only made it worse. "Besides, I think its cute!" He continued tracing shapes into Mondos torso, as he helplessly, tried to shoo away the compasses hands, holding in his giggles. "Must I work harder than I do on an average day in school to wring the giggles out of you?" Taka chuckled at the boy underneath him. His face was rivaling that of a ripe tomato. His cheeks puffed out a bit proving that he couldn't hold in the laughter much longer. All Taka had to do was get a good spot. He moved down to Mondo's belly and started squeezing the tender area. Mondo quickly shot hid hands up to cover his mouth. Supposedly as an extra defense to hide the giggles. "Tch, tch, tch." Taka closed his eyes and shook his head at the slightly squirming boy. "That was a bad move for you my friend." He shot his arms immediately into Mondos underarms, and started lightly scratching which elicited small kicks from the biker, which Taka thought was cute. "Awwww this is why I love you, Kyodai!" He giggled lightly under his breath when his Kyodai's arms shot down and his giggles escaped from their jail cell known as his mouth.
"Tahahakaaa!! Stahp!" He had a huge goofy grin on his face and somehow, was getting more red. His eyes were closed tight with tears of mirth rolling downwards.
"Ahhh theres giggles I love." He planted a kiss on the squirming boys nose.
"Stahap!! Nahaha!!"
"Now, now. Think reasonably Love. I cant stop when my hands are trapped!" He emphasized this by wiggling his fingers making the bikers giggles grow louder.
"StAHAhap!! Noho more!" Mondo giggled lightly at the sensations.
"You want more? Weird request but alright Love." He was close enough to Mondos face, that he scrunched up his neck, giggling more from the breath revealing itself to be tickly upon grazing the neck area. "All you have to do to get this to stop is just to say, your laugh is great, alright?" He whispered this to Mondo to let the warm air from his lungs tickle the boy under him as he leaned down for the ever so famous, tickly neck kisses. "Got it?"
"Nahahaha staaaahap!!" Mondo couldn't take any more and let in on Takas 'need'. "Ohok ohok my laugh is greaheat!"
"Aaaand?" Taka borrowed further into the crook of the bikers neck.
"AHAHAND ITS NOHOT DUMB FOHOR AHA BIKER LEADER TOHO SOUHOUND LIKE THIHIS!!" Taka slowed down to a point where he stopped. Mondo gulped down air greedily as he rubbed the ghost tickles.
"All better my Love?" Taka was back to his caring self.
"I... Hate you..."
"Aww I love you too Kyodai!" He beamed. "But we should finish our homework, as to not get in trouble!" He smirked down at the boy.
"Oh no, not yet. I still haven't gotten my revenge!" Mondo stated regaining his composure.

Undercooked Popcorn
Masterlist
You and Konner have a mini training session in the barn and get in trouble with Clark.
Warnings: fluff, Swearing,
A/n: Here is a small fluff piece I have been working on enjoy XX
Taglist: @iloveyouyen
After the initial move to Mrs Kent's house they had given you a week to settle in before getting stuck in to your school work. Not only you but konner as well letting you both bond which you had, the both of you had become close...konner had opened up quicker than you had, already secure about his place in the family you on the other hand was less sure. You had a trouble with it you wanted to believe that you was here permanently , that this was it where you belonged but you couldnt help holdingnyour breath still waiting for something to happen. Currently you and konner was in the old barn, you'd both unconsciously decided that it was your hang out, the place you go to escape the adults and get to know one another without the eagle eyes of the others. Somewhere to get away from an overbearing Clark who seemed to take the term mother hen to a whole new level, it wasnt necessarily bad but it was hard for you to go from no one gives a shit to holy shit this guy is consistently fussing over you. You knew he was trying to be inclusive and trying to solidify your place in the family reassuring you, wanting to show you he cared. Which was good youll admit you liked the attention in a way, you'd not had this type of parental guidance for a long long time but you'd didn't realoze how suffocating it was. You also suspected that your injuries had something to do with it aswell, you couldn't exactly fault him for it.
So here you were hiding out in the barn with konner as Clark flitted about the place doing odd chores here and there .Martha had gone out to work and would be home after the lunch rush at work. You rolled across the blanket that covered the hay pile your lime green cast glowing in the noon sun you winced as the light reflected off of it and shuffled moving it into a shadowed area. Currently you and konner were shareing details about your abilities, something the both of you had avoided and danced around until you got more comfortable with each other.
"Soo you don't make things? You just stretch'em" you nodded at him as he sat above you cross legged on one of the wooden cross beams that spanned the large space.
"Yeah pretty much..I can't touch living things tho, no plants or animals or people" you said glancing at your arm sighing it would have been nice to just fix it but no you had to wait it out.
"That sucks..." you nodded mournfully but then tilted your head back to get a better look at him.
"So what about you? Your an ET wannabe right?" He laughed flipping you the bird"Fuck you" you giggled as he shook his head jumping down from the beam landing just before you.
"Kryptonian is the politically correct term I think....Well hybrid... I'm half Clarks and... Half human" he said dusting off a little to sit on the hay across from you. You noticed the hesitation and the way he swerved around his own comments. Deciding to leave it be you opted to ignore it, much to Konners relief.
"So can you do all the stuff he can?" Konner smiled and shrugged
"You mean dad? Yeah sort of, I can do most...We are still waiting to see if we're exactly alike but I've got the strength speed and flight....I can do the lazer thing to which is cool but I havent found a practical use for it yet...Or a way to practice that shit is hot." You hummed at him then looked out of the open barn doors to the corn field.
"Corn?" He tilted his head following your gaze confused
"What?" You smiled at him Sitting up letting your arms fall into your lap
"Pop some corn...I mean theres a field right there...." he looked at the rows of corn catiously.
"Popcorn...You want me to use my laser eyes to...Get you a snack? How is that gojng to help me?" You rolled your eyes at him grunting."Oh for fuck sake...get unpopped popcorn and I will throw them in the air and you pop'em with your melty eyes.... you know target practice...And if I happen to catch some with my mouth its a bonus!" He sat up a little it wasn't a bad idea but Clark wouldn't like it.He doesnt like him practicing without him here.
"What about dad? Won't he be pissed?" You laughed and shook your head.
"Not really not like anyone can see us out hear and Clark did say we can practice around the place" Konner's grin fell he was worried that you hadn't really...Adapted? well you had...But you wont refer to the others as Dad and Grandma. As far as he was concered you were his sister already but he just really wanted you to know it was okay...That you really did have a family now. His dad and Grandma had told him not to push but he got the feeling you wanted to...Somethjng was holding you back.
"..You do know he is technically your dad now to right... You can call him dad and you can call Grandma, Grandma they wont be mad....I think they would like that." you sighed looking down, you knew that but it just... You didn't know, was it disrespectful to your real parents? You'd only been here a week? Surely it was to early...Even if it felt right, natural. He waved a hand at you
"You dont have to...I just didn't want you not to.. you know..Incase you thought they didn't want you to thats all, don't want you to have stupid thoughts like that holding you back" you blinked at him smiling sadly
"I-I do but...I still dont think I will be here long...I'm gonna slip up, if I ever accidentally hurt Martha I'm gone" he frowned at you
"No...If that happens; which I don't think it will, but if it does then we deal with it togethet...you wont get very far if you do run...Me and dad will bring you back home and we talk things out .Thats what family is, we stay together and help each other, your my little sister, the first person my age I don't have to worry about hurting so much. I can relax more around you because you can protect yourself if thing get to much, you think im gonna let you leave over an accident? Fuck no like Dad keeps saying your here now, your a kent and your stuck with us...I hope you see that sooner rather then later it can't be nice always being ready to run" your lip quivered eyes filling with tears as he explained this, the conviction in his voice how he spoke with absolute certainty. Unwilling to cry in front of him you simply nodded to him. Getting the message he patted your arm then disappeared for what seemed like seconds with a small bag of unpopped corn cernals.
"Show off" you sniffed moving to wipe your eyes only to hiss when you cracked yourself on the head with your cast you whined rubbing to sore spot and froze when Konner held out some tissues to you
"I grabbed them inside" you smiled at him meekly. He gave you a soft look, he hated seeing you struggle but he had said what needed to be said, said what he had needed to hear when it was him all those years ago. Quickly he changed his expression and smirked tossing you the bag of popcorn cernals you opened them swiftly still fighting a few tears back then looked around deciding on the safest area to throw them.
"So... Just to clarify if this falls down you will save me right?" he smiled nodding"Of course I will, you will be out of here before it even started falling down" you nodded then took two cernals in hand.
"so one or two?" he smiled and held up a finger. One. you threw it up and shreiked as he tried to ignite it missing ...well you only noticed he missed when you heard the little tap of it hitting the floor you both laughed seeing two tiny holes in the side of the barn. You grabbed another and threw it up he missed again, but he ws closer than before. This carried on for another few minutes with you oth getting excited as he got closer just skimming one, the heat from his vision making it partially pop.
"Oh no that one dont count you didnt hit the fuckjng thing!" He argued
"It popped tho!" You blinked at him.
"Okay half a point ready to go again?" He fist pumped then nodded readying himslef to go agajn. Finally thirty six cernals later he got it. You both jumped up.
"FUCK YEAH WOO!" You quickly moved to the popped popcorn on the floor dusting it off then ate it, you held up your hands to him chewing slowly as if you was a food critic then shook our head.
"Yep no under cooked" you both stared then burst out into hysterics crying with laughter.
"Lets try two this time!" You nodded moving to the bag pulling two more cernals out of the bag when you turned back round you froze. Shit.
"Why are there singe holes all over this barn?" Konner jumped turning around faceing an unamused Clark, who stood frowning at the both of you with his arms crossed. You and konner shared a look then peered around the barn...There was lots of them.. Some were just peep holes others longer and had charred lines around them. In all the fun youd both forgot where you were, and the barn now looked like it had taken a spray of bullets from a firing squad.
"Well? Konner? Y/n?" You cleared your throat and smoved to stand beside Konner
"Konner was...practicing, training" Clark raised an eyebrow shifti g his weight to one foot.
"Hmm? what exactly? See how he could burn the barn down without setting it on fire?" You both winced at his tone...He really wasnt impressed.
"You know this barn is older then me? It survived me growing up playing in it, yet an afternoon with the both of you and it looks about ready to keel over?....What were you both doing?" You moved to open your mouth but Clark stopped you holding up a hand.
"And if you try to get smart with me and say training again your going to be grounded for much longer then you already are young lady!" You flinched back. Wow. He had never spoke to you like that...Well not since you met him, he was always so laid back and fun, the type of adult you listened to because they were so chill but who knew he could switch over to no nonsense stern dad so effortlessly... You wavered uncertain how to approach him like this, it had been a while since youd cared about an adults opinion of you and you really didn't want Clark to hate you turning you looked to konner for help.
"Well...we were seeing how accurate my aim was...So y/n was throwing popcorn cernals and I was trying to pop them....I did miss a few times." Clark blinked then scanned the barn. He sighed shaking his head at his son exasperated.
"Konner... We've spoke about this I will take you to the fortress to train, but not here you could hurt yourself!" Clark stopped his scolding when he saw you take a large step infront of konner
"It was my fault I wanted to see so I came up with the idea...He was just trying to cheer me up." You stood firm shaking a little, you didn't like Clark raising his voice, he didn't shout but it was enough to make you nervous of him. He fixed you with a look making you cower from him slightly then sighed shaking his head, he didn't want you to be scared of him.
"Thank you y/n. But even if it was your idea he still knows how I feel about it I'm disappointed in both of you. Your both grounded for the rest of the week, this was very reckless and I don't want to catch either of you doing this again are we clear?" You both nodded to him solonmly resigning yourself to a few days being stuck indoors. He sighed then smiled a little to tell you the truh he was happy in a way, you'd become close and were up to mischief, which was good? You could both be a little reckless and act your age. You both had someone to let loose with. But he couldn't help worrying over the two of you. Had you got to carried away the barn could have collapsed, yes konner would have most likely got you both out but you were already hurt, already vulnerable and fragile. He really didn't want to risk anything. Luckily it hadn't come to that and the damage to the barm wasn't that bad... A few new boards and a new cross beam at the top, regular humans would need to dismantle the roof to sort it out but him and konner could have it done in an afternoon, he would also have you help as he had no doubt that you'd encouraged your brother. He smiled chuckling catching the two teens by surprise.
"Popcorn...I mean it was obvious right?..Wish I'd thought of that one...Any way lets start sorting this out befor Ma gets home shouldn't take to long not like the time I-" he caught him slef noticing the looks he was getting.
"What did you do to the barn?" You asked breaking the silence as konner waited both eager to hear what Clark had gotten up to when he was little. He cleared his throat
"Never you mind, now come on get to it, start picking up all that corn the we can see about plugging some of those holes" you shared a look with konner moving slowly collecting the corn as Clark moved to the back of the barn inspecting the damage.
"What do you think he did?" Konner shrugged
"Not sure apparently according to Grandma he was a little goody two shoes so... it couldn't have been that bad"
"Im gonna ask her when she gets back" konner froze and shook his head.
"No dont! Do not do that! We don't wana be in trouble with Grandma ever, dads a piece of piss to deal with but Grandma? She is a different beast altogether...To clever with punishments I mean she perfected her methods on him... She knows what shes doing" you blinked at him.
"We? You mean you I wont get in to much trouble...I mean evidence points to you, your the one with laser eyes." You smirked impishly at him as he looked shocked.
"You'd throw me under the bus? Just like that?" You nodded
"To avoid Martha's wrath abso-fucking-lutly sorry dude but Im not getting sucked into that shit show...Actually....Dont worry I got this she will never know." Befor Either on them could ask you'd closed your eyes then opened. Konner took a step back as they glowed bright. And sure enough the small holed were closeing, you coiled the fibres of the wood around in tight circles until the holes were all coveres feeljng aroh d the planks looking for them all. Konner gasped watching the way you manipulated the planks hearing a slight tiny creaking of the wood as it bended around itself. You moved to the side looking at the damaged beam quickly knitting it back together filling in the two deep burns that ran across it. Slowly you looked back down to the other two and smiled.
"All done...The beam should hold I made the grain tighter where it was." Clark smiled as he made his way towards you patting your shoulder and giving a sweet kiss to your hair.
"Thank you y/n now I think we shouldall head inside dont you?" You stuttered as he continued past you and Konner. Who was gaping at you.
"That was so fucking awsome! You made that look so easy...Is it? Whats else can you dowith it? And your eyes shit! Even I was scared for a second..." you flushed fidgeting going all bashfull.
"Oh haha sorry for scaring you...And that was easythey were tiny holes to plug." You moved slowly following Konner and Clark to the house.
"You still gonna ask Grandma about what he did?" You nodded at him laughing.
"You bet! I wana hear about all the dumb shit he did" he smiled at you as you both made it to the kitchen. Clark had entered and was already sitting down at the table with a drink.
"Your both still grounded by the way" you pouted at him
"No fair I fixed it!" He rose a brow at you
"It wasn't about the damage, I want you both to be carefull, you were reckless and both put yourselves at risk unnecessarily so rest of the week. No phones, games or tv. No leaving the farm and you can help your Grandma and me with the chores..." you sighed and looked to konner defeated he only shrugged in responseas if to say 'nothing you can you do' you slumped down into the chair pouring yourself a glass of juice from the pitcher Konner following suit grumbling to yourselves Clark shook his head getting up placing his glass in the sink. Teenagers.

Fame - Angus Cloud (3)
Summary- a luckily timed audition leads to you falling for your new and unexpected co-star.
Warnings- okay HI welcome to my first multi chapter series woah?! this is actually so exciting for me like wow especially since angus doesn’t have any fics yet im just really really excited- so warnings! smut for sure, bad words, lotsa fluff, angst- everything in one basically. here comes a ride and I hope you enjoy :)
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3 {reading now}
-
Well, needless to say you got the role.
The final run through with Drake was successful, he started spewing off about how talented you were. You did your usual which was smile and nod, and Angus told you to "Stop being so shy mamas. You gotta get used to this."
Time flew as you turned in forms, focused on moving closer to set, and grew your social media audience. It was all exciting but also overwhelming, however you already loved it.
You and Angus seemed to be getting more comfortable with each other, the tension was wearing off and a simple friendship was forming. The luxury apartment you were moving into for when filming ceased was conveniently just a few doors down from his apartment, you two were going to be in the same complex. You talked quite often and filming hadn't even started yet, and you almost felt silly for feeling intimidated, if that was even the word, by him before. He'd offered to come over to help you move in- and even though the tension had faded, your {sometimes} inappropriate thoughts of him hadn't.
But today was the day everything kicked into gear, because today was the first day of filming.
You and Angus decided to meet up at a small, locally owned coffee shop before heading to set. You could both go together, and since he offered to drive, you could save some gas.
You got there early, you two were to meet at 7:30 am, you were there at 7:25 due to leaving time to dodge the traffic. Angus came through the door yawning at 8:17- due to oversleeping.
"Do you always do this?" you laughed sliding a donut over to him as he sat down across from you in the booth.
"Do what?" he asked, eating half of the donut in one big bite.
"Are you always late- like on set? Because most of my scenes are with you and I-"
"You think ahead a lot, I just like sleeping, you should like it too you feel what I mean? Sleep is just that bitch...if there was a girl like sleep then I would have a girl."
Half of the time the things Angus came up with made zero sense to you, but you always just agreed and moved along. For example, yesterday night he called you at 12:32 am just to let you know that the Frosted Flakes box had 'of corn' in small writing under the bold logo. You said you'd never noticed that- which was the truth, and then that led to him telling you the complete history of Mandela effects. You didn't get back to bed until 1:54.
"And to be fair Y/N, you kept me up last night with that Mandela effect shit." he said with a smirk as he finished off the donut.
Your mouth fell open as you rolled your eyes "Boy as if! You wish I-"
"So you quoting 90s movies now? That's new, don't really know how I feel ab-"
"Lets go," you shook your head standing up and tossing your coffee cup into the garbage.
You two walked out and into the warm LA air. "You read the scripts at all?" He asked you as you headed to his car.
"I did! We have a lot of scenes...some are quite different."
"What you mean? Not boutta lie I didn't read anything past the first episode cuz them other shits too far away."
"Well, sex is always a given in Euphoria."
"Yeah them nude scenes finna make me feel a bit violated if you know what I mean."
"You'll be fine, all you show is your ass but I have to-"
"Oh shit I gotta show my cheeks? For real? On television- aw nah I gotta talk to somebody about tha-"
"I have to show everything except my baby maker so...who really has it worse?"
"Yo' baby maker? Is that them gorgeous eyes cuz it sure does make me want to make a baby wit' you."
Was that a joke-
He did this alot. You never knew if he was actually flirting or if it was just him joking around, but you always assumed it was the latter.
"Was that a...was that a joke from you Angus? How rare!"
He flipped you off with a goofy grin at the next red light and you laughed. "No all jokes aside though Gus, I gotta show my whole body, titties and all. Like my parents are going to watch this how do I? Explain?"
“Well we can fuck wit’ all that when we get to it.”
“Oh baby...” You said sarcastically. “You didn't actually read the first episodes script did you?”
“What you mean?”
You pulled the script from out of your tote, clearing your throat before you started to read. “Jess looks at Fez with a gleam of interest in her eyes. ‘Its been awhile tiger’ she says in a certain way, a way that makes Fez adjust his- yeah I’m not reading that- ‘It has’ Fez says biting his lip. He wants her, but he doesn't know if she wants him too...he thinks she doe-”
“We gotta have sex the first episode? Nah you lying.”
“Episode 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8.”
“Holy shit what?! Aint nobody have that much sex last season...”
“Yeah but its because of our storyline. Jess and Fez constantly want each other and they think the only way to let it out is through sex- they are both terrible with commitment and Jess is afraid of Fez’s dealing; even if she wants to be with him that's keeping her away.”
“Damn, my manz Fez gettin’ the short end of the stick.”
“Jess is the only one getting a short stick Angus.”
It took him a minute to understand what you said, but as soon as he comprehended it his eyes widened. “Girl no you didnt- you know I’m packing- how you gon’ do me like that?!” he said defensively as he parked. You couldn't help but to laugh as you hurried out of the car. “Imma get you back for that!” He yelled after you. You shook your head and walked to the main trailer where everyone was to gp.
Walking in you saw only Z and Storm, Queen Bey played softly in the background showing the girls in front of you were in their element. “Hey girl!” Z said giving you a quick side hug. “Dont worry about being late, its all good. You came with Angus didn't you?”
You nodded whilst rolling your eyes and took the key she was holding out, walking back out and to your trailer.
The trailer was cozy, comfortable and not too small. It had quite a modern look to it, and the look on the outside didn't match the inside at all. You smiled as you sat on the sofa, seeing a white envelope on the glass table. On it was scribbled ‘Angus and Y/N’. Before you could get up to go over to his trailer, he walked in- no invitation, no knock, no anything. “Gee!!!! Good thing I wasn’t naked!” You said sarcastically as you glared at him.
“Yeah whateva. We gotta read this letter together I guess.” He said plopping down beside you.
“Yeah yeah okay, I can read it out loud.” You said cracking open the envelope and pulling out the bright white printer paper. “Okay here we go...it's from...Drake?”
“Ah shit.”
“Don’t worry yet, it's probably just- let me just read.”
Angus nodded and got more comfortable on the sofa as you started to read. “Angus and Y/N. On behalf of your upcoming roles I wanted to tell you guys to loosen up. Theres alot of sexy time to film, and I don't want the viewers to feel the sexual tension from Angus and Y/N, I want them to feel it radiating from Jess and Fez. Make kissing casual, make being naked around each other casual too. Don't make that shit weird. And Angus, make sure you can get it up. If it takes...oh-” you stopped for a moment.
“What?” Angus looked at you and you cocked your head to one side still inspecting the letter.
“Okay- here, he said: If it takes walking around each other unclothed then do it, take care of that tension between you two. I could feel it in the final run through, meaning that the viewers would be able to sense it as well. I'm only saying all this cuz its your first time filming together. I need art, not high school production shit. You guys have the passion, and you click. But there's something missing. Make the fuck out and get this show on the road. I'm always a call away if its not working out-- Drake.”
“Well damn. What he tryna say?”
“Angus it's clear what he's saying- I mean come on I feel the tension between us too, and I don't know what it is but hes right, whatever it is we need to get over it, and move on from that. This is business- an art form we have to work through. Ight?”
“Ight. So what I’m hearing is we gotta make out and get naked.”
“We aren't doing anything until ya girl takes a nap.”
“How you sleepy we just got here and you woke up 3 hours ago?”
“Listen man it is not my fault I only got 4 and a half hours of sleep-”
“SO you tryna say it’s mine?!” “It is! With your mandela effecr loving ass.”
He chuckled under his breath. “Okay okay, fair. But lemme sleep wit’ you.” “What? Why?”
“You the one that read the letter, we gotta drop this tension lil mama. And if we legit just sleeping, ion see nun wrong wit’ it, do you?”
You thought it over, and he had a point. There was nothing wrong with it, sleeping is sleeping...and besides, you two would have to do much worse.
“Whatever, come on.”
“Let’s go to my trailer though.”
“What? Why? Ion wanna walk come on Angu-”
“I can carry you then. But my place more homey, you just got here and your bed ain’t even got sheets.”
Damn, why is he always right? “Okay fine but carry me.”
He hunched down in front of the sofa “Get on my back and we can go.”
You grabbed your phone getting onto his back and holding on tight, your arms around his neck and your thighs squishing his sides. “Go go go!” You giggled, feeling safe as you rested your chin on the top of his head.
He ran to the trailer, causing you to laugh and hold on even tighter. Dropping you onto the bed, he looked around the small trailer-bedroom for more covers.
“You know girl,” he said looking into the closet “You kinda cute. How you was laughing out there had my heart beating fast and shit.” He found a throw and turned back around to ask you if it was good, but you were already out, completely sound asleep, and cuddled into a pillow. “Damn so you ain't hear none o’ that huh?” He sighed. “Probably better on my end. Can’t be catching feelings and shit.” He covered you over and lay beside you.
In your sleep your body detected the body heat, so you unknowingly turned over, cuddling into his chest. A smile formed on your lips as you moved closer, practically wrapping yourself around him.
The man sighed placing his lips to your forehead and leaving a light kiss. “Yeah. No catching feelings.”

Arthur Morgan x Reader: Farmer’s Daughter
Ask: Ok well I was wondering if you could write an Arthur Morgan x Reader where the reader is the daughter of a rich farm owning family and Arthur rides up to the farm/ranch one day to scope the place out and see if they're easy to rob but somehow ends up with heart eyes for the reader and starts sneaking around to see her. Doesn't have to be smut, but that would be awesome. Thank you!
Warnings: Probably cursing. A bit of an age gap since Arthur is, you know, like 30 something, and the reader is still living with her parents.
Pairing: Arthur Morgan x Reader
A/N: So this turned out longer than I had originally planned oops. ALso apparently freezers were invented around the 1830′s so don’t come at me for having ice cubes in Arthurs drink ok. I really hope this is what you imagined and it doesn’t seem rushed, even though I spent like 4 hours on it. Hope it’s not too short or too long. OKAY I’M DONE RAMBLING YOU CAN READ NOW.
The last thing you expected to see on a Friday afternoon was a stranger on a white horse riding up your dirt road. You had been reading a book on your upstairs balcony when you saw him, at first just a small white speck a ways away. But when that white speck started making noise you looked up and saw it was a man on a horse, a visitor. You rarely got visitors here that weren’t two men on a wagon full of supplies.
You set your book down on the table and leaned forward to get a better look as he neared the front of your house. He looked handsome enough, even though you were on the second story balcony and he was on the ground below. From what you could see he was a rugged man about thirty or so, not the kind of men your parents usually dealt with. Your curiosity got the best of you and you walked back inside and downstairs where you saw your father opening the front doors. One of his work friends stood beside him in case things were to go south, his hand sitting comfortably on his pistol as a gentle warning to the stranger that stood on your porch.
“Sorry to bother you folks, I was looking for the Braithwaite manor and it looks like I got myself lost. Do you know whereabouts that is?” His voice sounded so friendly and warm, you would never expect that he was there to see if you would be easy to ransack. You watched the conversation go down from the bottom step of the staircase and tried not to look too obvious.
Your father was totally oblivious and way too trusting. “No worries friend, these back roads are tricky. Fancy a drink? You look like you’ve been riding all day. Come inside and I’ll have my wife draw you up some directions.”
The man looked hesitant but eventually shrugged. “You’re too kind. I’d really appreciate it.”
You took the chance to walk into the tea room since you knew they’d come inside any minute, and you didn’t want to look suspicious. Plus, you wanted to be nosey, it wasn’t often attractive strangers came by. You sat down at the table and picked up the book from the table, something you had already read before, and tried your best to look as if you had been doing it for some time already.
“Who’s that man outside?” Your mother had snuck up behind you and scared the daylights out of you when she leaned down to whisper in your ear.
“I don’t know.” You said after you recovered from the scare. “But he sure is good looking.”
She peaked at the front door and nodded in approval at your taste. “You’re not wrong about that.” Thank god it was your mother and not your grandmother, she would have chided you for hours about being indecent.
Finally, they came in and the man took off his hat, looking around as his eyes adjusted to the change of light. He looked even better looking close up. His facial hair was trimmed neatly but looked like it had grown in a little, the hair on his head the same. His face was partially spotted from the dust in the air from horse hooves but he didn’t look truly dirty, nothing compared to your farmboys.
He looked around and seemed impressed with the place, his eyes looking into every room he could see from his spot. When he looked into the room your father began walking into, the tea room, he only spared you a short glance.
Alright, well, you weren’t used to that. Most men who saw you immediately started complimenting your parents on how gorgeous you were, praising you and never failing to remark some version of ‘You’ll make a wonderful wife/Someone a very happy husband/Beautiful children’. But he didn’t say a thing.
“Darling, would you be so kind as to draw some directions from here to Braithwaite manor? Our friend here has gotten lost.” Your father asked your mother who smiled and obliged, heading upstairs to get some paper. “Oh! I didn’t even see you there!” He said when he noticed you sitting on the couch. “Could you bring our guest some tea?”
The stranger looked at you and looked like he was about to decline and tell you not to worry yourself but you were already standing up. “Sure thing daddy, need anything else?” You asked sweetly with a smile.
Your father looked to the man who just shook his head and tried to say ‘I’m fine’ and ‘No thank you’ at the same time. “No, I’m, thank you,” He jumbled over his words and looked visibly embarrassed. “I’m alright.”
You smiled widely, amused by that. He looked away and scratched the back of his head awkwardly. Your father paid no mind and led him to the couch, talking about how harsh the month had been with no rain at all.
When you got back from the kitchen with a glass of tea he looked up and accepted the glass from you happily, muttering a ‘thanks’ before he almost chugged the entire thing, even chewing on some of the ice. Your mother came down the stairs with a piece of paper in hand and one of your nice fountain pens in the other.
“You’ll have to excuse my writing, I’m not the best artist.” She joked and sat on the single chair across from the couch. “You should have told our artist here to do it instead, she could draw him the best map he’d ever laid his eyes on.” She joked and you tried not to let them see how bashful she made you. She always bragged about you and anything you did, you could draw something purposefully awful and she would still treat it like a priceless painting.
“Oh it’s alright, I’m sure I’ll manage.” He chuckled, taking more ice into his mouth.
You sat down on the other side of the couch and watched the man from the corner of your eye. He looked around the house while his jaw moved to chew the ice as if he was taking note of every single window and door. “Say, you folks-”
Your mother sighed in frustration, putting two fingers on her forehead in exasperation. “I’m sorry, I can barely draw a line. Darling, could you please?” She slid the paper across the table and gave you a sweet look.
“I’ll try.” You laughed and leaned down, taking the pen from her.
“What were you saying?” Your father asked from his seat and the man looked confused before he remembered.
“I was just going to ask if you knew of some good people to hire for security. Assuming those men at the end of the road are what I’m thinkin’ they are.”
“Yes, they work for a man named Michael, he hires men that used to be in the war and sells their services to those who can afford it.” Your father said proudly. Arthur just nodded.
“Here’s the house.” You said to the man as you drew a small house next to the scribbles your mother had done. He scooted closer to you carefully and watched as you drew. “And here’s the road. The corn fields are on the right, the tobacco on the left.” You kept talking as you drew and tried to focus on moving the pen instead of how close he was to you. His body heat radiated off of him and grazed your bare arm and neck, you could hear him breathing slowly. He smelt like smoke and day-old cologne mixed with the leather from his coat.
As you gave him directions he would never need Arthur felt morality tug at his heartstrings. You were such good people, welcoming him into your home and showing such hospitality. He would have to tell Dutch there was no way, there were too many workers and guards, he would make something up. He came expecting a snooty rich family but was caught off guard by good people. You all had the generosity, kindness, and respect of poor folk.
When you finished you slid the map over on the table. “Let it sit for a minute before you touch it, the ink’s still wet.” You warned and put the cap back on the pen. “Especially here.” You laughed softly and pointed at the words of his destination where you had spelled it wrong the first time and scratched it out.
He nodded and muttered an ‘alright’, looking at you from a side glance. Your father talked for a while about the people who lived in the manor, not being shy about his opinion. Arthur couldn’t have agreed more but he kept up his facade and played dumb.
“It’s dry now.” You said and Arthur looked away from your father. You were looking at the paper so he took the chance to actually look at you, unintentionally admiring you. Normally he was good about keeping his eyes where they belonged. If there was anyone who respected women it was Arthur, but it was hard not to appreciate your beauty. He figured your sweetness was the only reason he stared. It had been a while since he saw a sweet girl who wasn’t trying to pickpocket him or get him to spend a fortune in the saloon.
“Thank you.” He picked up the paper and admired your work. One of the few things he could really appreciate was art. You drew so effortlessly, the small roads and hills looked like the maps he’d seen the professionals sell. “Well, I reckon I better be on my way, I’ve taken up too much of your time.”
“Not at all.” Your father stood up and so did the stranger. They shook hands as he thanked your father who shook him off and pat his back a few times. “You sure there’s nothing else we could do for you?”
“You’ve done more than enough.” He promised and looked back to you and your mother, the paper held gently in his hands. “Thank you both for your hospitality. And for the map.” He held up the paper and you smiled, causing him to unknowingly do the same.
When he started walking out the door with your father you ran upstairs and almost fell off your balcony to watch him ride off. The hot wind hit your face when you reached the banister, just in time to watch him ride off. He put his hat back on and took one last look behind him, not failing to notice the beautiful young girl watching him leave.
***
The frogs and crickets sang while the fireflies lit the black air with soft pulsating gold. You were on your banister half reading a book and half watching the farmboys work in the fields below, their lanterns bobbing gently through the rows of plants, stopping occasionally to pull up weeds or a dead plant.
It was hard to read. It was stupid to even try. But there was nothing else to do to take your mind off of your thoughts, even though reading wasn’t doing a good job at that. At least it was something.
A dog barking in the distance made you set your book down. It was the dogs they kept up at the end of the road to warn when someone was coming. You waited a minute to see if they would calm down but they didn’t. You heard your father yell downstairs to the men at the end of the road, and they responded with something about deer in the woods.
You believed it for a moment until you heard rattling from the other side of your balcony. The first thing that came to mind was some kind of greasy gunslinging bastard but before you could start screaming two arms hooked over the side of the ledge, covered by that same damn leather jacket you had been so close to earlier.
It shouldn’t have made you feel any better considering his original intentions were to rob your family for everything they had. But for some reason you had a feeling he wasn’t a threat to you. That made you incredibly stupid and naive but thankfully, for once, you were right in this situation.
When he finally pulled himself over he looked surprised to see you standing there watching him. “Now, before you start screaming,” He said as he reached up to grab the lantern that hung above him. “I’m not here to hurt you or anything like that.” He blew out the small flame and the two of you were suddenly surrounded by darkness.
“Then why are you here?” You asked cautiously. It wasn’t like you didn’t want to see him again, but the last thing you expected was this. If anyone saw him your father's politeness would be out the window as well as Arthur.
He sighed as if he didn’t know why himself. “You been on my mind girl, and I don’t know why. I don’t know why my dumbass thought it would be a good idea to risk not only my ass but yours, just to come back up here and ask for your name.”
You covered your mouth to stifle that bubbled in your throat. “Truly? That’s why?”
Arthur laughed softly, shaking his head when he realized how ridiculous it was. “I suppose so. And I wanted to ask for another one of those hundred-dollar drawings you make.”
You laughed again and put your fingers on the bottom lip you held between your teeth. “Oh yeah? Was my map that good?”
He grinned and looked down at his boots, kicking them against the floor to kick some pebbles loose from the bottoms. He couldn’t believe how young he felt then, like he was only sixteen again flirting around with the farmer's daughter. The only thing different from that was he was much, much, much older. If the other men in the gang saw him they’d make fun of him till the day he died for sneaking around for a girl.
“Well, okay, I guess I can make you something.” You smiled while biting your lip. He put on a show of acting grateful, clasping his hands together and placing them in front of his forehead. When you recovered from quiet laughter you went into your room to get some paper and a pencil. You made sure both your doors were locked before you went back onto your dark balcony. You stopped in the open doorway, noticing how little you could see. There was no way you could draw anything out there unless a lantern was lit, but that would be too bright and anyone nearby would be able to see the two of you. “I can’t see out here, maybe we should go in my room.”
He was reluctant for a minute, considering how fast he’d be able to run and jump out the balcony if need be. “Yeah, sure.” He sighed and walked towards the doors. The spurs on his boots lightly jingled and you could hear fabric moving against fabric as he moved past you into your dimly lit room. “Been a while since I’ve been in a room this nice.” He admitted as he looked around your room.
“You live in a barn then?” You teased and sat down at the table near the windows. “Oh, I never told you my name. It’s (Y/N).”
Arthur leaned against the wall near you and crossed his ankles, nodding as he thought over your name. “(Y/N). Never met anyone with that name before.”
You smiled proudly, twirling the pencil in your fingers. “And yours?”
He paused, considering while he looked out the window. “Arthur.” He said finally and looked back to you.
“Arthur.” You mused before remembering what you were supposed to be doing. “Ah, sorry, what did you say you want me to draw you?”
He snorted and crossed his arms. “I didn’t give that any thought, do anything you’d like.”
You bit your lip and looked him up and down. “Okay. It might take me a little while though.” He wanted to say ‘good’, but held his tongue and settled for a ‘That’s okay’.
After about an hour of talking, constant talking, you were finally finished. “If I had longer I could have done better, but, here.” You slid the paper across the table to him. After a while, he got tired and had sat down across from you.
He took the paper in his hands and squinted before his eyes widened. “Christ, girl.” He breathed and looked over the lines and shading. “You’re better than me.”
“You draw too?” You asked with sudden interest but he didn’t respond, he was too caught up in the paper in front of him.
“I can’t believe this. Did you take a picture of me when I wasn’t looking?” He shook his head and scratched his chin as he continued admiring it.
You blushed and ran a hand through your hair, he made you into a flustered mess with those praises. They were different when they were coming from someone who wasn’t kin. “Thank you.” It was all you could say. You didn’t expect him to like it that much, it was a hurried sketch of him leaning against your wall, but as much as you liked to pretend your art wasn’t that good there was no denying that this was an exceptionally realistic drawing. You were almost sad to see it go.
Arthur shook his head and looked up from the paper, looking at you completely different. Like how your father looked at your mother the first time he saw her shoot a gun. Newfound respect and admiration glinted in those pretty blue eyes of his, all directed to you. He was going to say something else but the sounds of heels coming up the stairway stopped him.
“(Y/N)! I just found a letter from June, it came yesterday but-” She grabbed your doorknob and tried to open it, only succeeding in causing the door to shake slightly. Arthur looked at you with wide eyes as she called out your name a second time.
“Go, hurry!” You whispered and he sat up as quickly and quietly as he could, tiptoeing to the open doors. “One second, I’m changing into my nightdress!” You called back to her as you rushed the grown man out of your room.
He paused in the same spot he had climbed up, one hand on the jasmine covered lattice he had used as a ladder. “Could I come see you again?” He asked boldly, the paper in his hand slightly moving from the breeze.
You laughed in disbelief. “There’s no way I could say no to that. You better.”
Arthur smiled then, the widest and cheesiest smile he had worn in a while. If it wasn’t for the lantern sitting inside your room next to the window he stood near, you wouldn’t have seen it. You wanted to say more, but he swung his legs over the edge and left you to explain to your mother why you spent so long doing something so simple.

I literally love your batfam writing so much, can I request something? Can batsis (biological daughter of Bruce) be adapted after her mum dies and she's obsessed with makeup and loves it so all the boys think she's shallow and conceited? But she's not? Thank you so much
Makeup
Tim flops on the couch beside his eldest brother, “Did yousee her room? She’s got a one of those makeup mirror things. The one with thelights in the mirror and all the drawers. When I walked by, she was filling thewhole thing up with makeup”
“Are you serious? Who needs that much makeup?”
“I don’t think Steph, Cass, and Babs have that much makeupcombined. I mean I know her mom was a model and all, but she must be stupid shallowand obsessed with her looks”
There’s a soft creak as the door open and both boys glanceup to see the newest member of the Wayne household standing awkwardly in thedoorway. “Hi, Alfred said that you two were in here … he said that you guys wouldn’tmind giving me a bit of a tour. I only know where my room and the kitchen is …”
Dick lets out a put-upon sigh and heaves himself off thecouch, “Yeah, come on, I’ll show you around.”
Y/N glances up at him when they’re passing one of the hugebay windows, “You know, you have beautiful cheekbones, they’d be perfect be forsome highlight. And Tim has some beautiful eyelashes, I have to use falsies ormascara to that kind of length. You know I have -”
“Not everyone needs makeup to feel good about themselves,Y/N”
She freezes for a few seconds before catching up to him, “Iknow. I don’t use makeup because I don’t feel good about myself. I use it becauseit makes me confident, it’s like a mask that helps me take on the world. Ienjoy makeup, I don’t need it, Dick.” Her eyes lock with his, “This familyshould know all about mask, right?”
Dick almost chokes out a disbelieving laugh, that’s definitelysomething he’ll need to bring up to Bruce but for now he’ll ignore it. “So, youhave all that different makeup, and spend all that money just because you likeit?”
“I actually get a lot of my makeup for free. I have a YouTubechannel where I teach people how to put on makeup, so different makeupcompanies will sometimes send me their new pallets or supplies for me to testout and review. Mom taught me to be confident in who I am, to love myself andothers based on who they are as a person. I try to help my followers becomeconfident in themselves while I’m teaching them how to do makeup” The older manjust continues to stare at her, “Maybe you shouldn’t judge people on their outwardappearance and try to get to know them first”
Y/N quickly walks the rest of the way down the hall andstraight into her room while Dick slowly makes his way back toward the livingroom where Tim is still sitting. “So how was it? Was she completely airheaded,or could she actually hold a conversation?”
“She actually seems pretty smart, like she had a reason forhaving so much makeup. I guess she uses it all for her YouTube channel, and tohelp other people gain confidence in themselves”
Tim quickly sits up, “Do you know what her YouTube name is?I want to look her up”
“I don’t know, just search her name, it’ll be her mom’s lastname”
Tim types for a minute, “I found her … holy shit, she hasover 8 million followers”
“You’re kidding me. She was telling the truth? Play one ofher videos”
The two boys play a random video from two months ago. Y/Ntalks about how it doesn’t matter how much makeup someone layers on their faceif they’re ugly on the inside it’ll show. She talks about just being confidentin everything you do and in believing in yourself. The boys end up watchingvideo after video. Watching as she does casual day makeup, or night out makeup. How sometimes her mom or friends will appear in the videos and she’ll do theirmakeup as well as her own and the guest will share their own words of wisdom. The last video the two end up watching is the most recent one Y/N had posted, dated for only a few days after her mother had passed away. It isn’t a makeupvideo at all, it talks about loss and figuring out how live life after losingsomeone so important. Y/N talks about Bruce, how her father who she’s never metintends to take her in and adopt her. Finally, it wraps up by saying that shedoesn’t know when she’ll be able to post again, or even if she’ll be able to answeranyone messages.
“Did we completely misjudge her and act like total assholesto a girl who just lost her only parent up until recently? We’ve both lost ourparents and we were total assholes to her just because we assumed she wasshallow and conceited, when really she just likes makeup and uses it to expressherself”
Dick groans, letting his head fall into his hands, “How dowe make this up to her?”
“Maybe we should follow her advice and actually get to knowher. I think … I think we should treat her like a member of the family insteadof like an outsider. We need to talk to Jason and Damian, you know they’ll cometo the same conclusion we did and yeah, Damian’s gotten a little better overthe years, but he still doesn’t have much a filter.”
“You’re right. I have a great idea. We should have a siblingmovie night, then we call all get to know her at the same time and she can getto know us. She won’t feel so alone here afterwards”
“Perfect! Just us tonight, and maybe next week we can getall the girls over here too?” Dick quickly nods his agreement, “I’m going totell Alfred and see if he can whip up some snacks for us. Can you call Jasonand get Damian?”
“Yeah, I got them. I really hope this works. We might havejust ruined our relationship with Y/N because we judged her over her makeup andnot her personality. We should know better, god we’re so stupid” Dick lets outa soft sigh and pulls out his phone, “Let’s just hope she can forgive us”
A voice clears behind them. Both vigilantes whip around, their eyes wide, having not even heard the door open, “You know, I’d forgiveyou a lot quicker if you’d apologize, that’s typically how these things works”
“Y/N, you scared the crap out of me!” Dick lets out a shakybreath, “I’m sorry … We’re sorry for judging you without getting to know you. We’ve known a lot of models and just kinda assumed that you were like all of them.I didn’t mean to judge you, or insult you”
“I understand. I’m a stranger coming into your guys house. You don’t know me, you guys didn’t even know I existed until recently, so ofcourse you’d assume things about me. That doesn’t make it right though, howeverI’m going to forgive you this time. I want to get to know my new brothers, solet’s put this behind us, okay?”
Tim grins, “Thank you. So we were gonna have a movie nighttonight, the four of us guys and you if you want. A way for all of us to get toknow you and for you to get to know us … if you want”
Y/N grins, “I’d love to, that sounds like fun … but we NEEDto have some kettle corn for the movie and some cookies”
Both guys snort, “I thought you were all into the healthy lifestyleand being the best you can be? That’s what your videos said”
“That’s what some of them said, but then I also say that it’sokay to indulge as long as you do it in moderation. So, I’ll be going to the gymtomorrow, but tonight we can watch movies and eat what we want”
“Sounds like a plan, I’ll call Jay and go talk to Damian”
“I’ll go ask Alfred if he can make cookies, you haven’t hadthe chance to try Alfie’s cookies yet, Y/N. They’re amazing!”

Ok i’ve GOT to know 14 and 15 because josh...you have a torment hard-on unlike anyone else i have ever seen...why do you always have one OC who’s like a fucking orphan with a peg leg and almost starved to death as an infant or another one who ended up in the hospital and lost all of their money because their small time drug dealer turned out to be working for the colombian cartel and robbed them blind. josh why
ok tumblr wont let me post all of it but gimme a sec and ill edit this ask
edit:
HHSHDJDKXNXJDJZNSJ WHAT'S FUCKIN LIFE WITHOUT PERILOUS DANGER and inborn trauma and tragedy... i do it to purge myself of my own problems and to give me incentive for research and discovering different walks of life than my own ... you almost hit the nail on the head with lewis though which is the answer to
14. The roughest backstory I’ve given an OC
Lewis was made because the head of this cult wanted lewis to be born... kinda like symbolism for jesus's birth. i don't know all the lore for this cult yet but they're a small commune north of a small town in northern California. They have their own isolated community of two hundred people give or take. Lewis' mom was a teenage runaway and lewis' dad was a simple farm hand in a cruel family who treated him poorly because of mental disability and they had to have lewis because it was ordered of them and there was sorta no way out of it...they had a boy and for some reason the birth of this kid didnt feel right and he didnt feel like... divine enough to be used for ritual practice and the ultimate mission of these cults leaders... which would inevitably be a sacrifice of the boy. haha (: and so theyre like ...try again. so now Lewis was born with a fraternal sister but they only cared about Lewis...his real name is Aloysius for petes sake, he's named after a saint. Lewis isnt particularly singled out as he grows up like he doesn't know he's being especially watched because of some bullshit prophecy that was most definitely made up and no theres no angelic godly energy running through him everyone is just a bunch of freaks. Lewis grows up not knowing his siblings are his biologically because the commune is about group-raising. everyone is a sibling every adult is a parent. he doesn't know his mom is His mom but she watches him extra close and lewis gets an idea that this one women may be his Mom mom even though he doesnt have a strong concept of what that even means. Lewis is abused and neglected like other kids, him more severely by a man called Father Gabriel..we despise him ha ha. he's the most vile evil character i will ever make. Lewis's life is fine, not fine... because he's being raised in a cult... but fine in his eyes because he gets schooling in the small community school, he gets recreation activities..this is where he learns to paint, he does labor a lot but he does love when he gets to garden and pet the animals in their barn, he sings in the church choir. the hardest part about it are his visits with Father Gabriel that occur whenever father wants them to at whatever time of day and the neglect from the Brothers of the church as well. this starts when he's about 7 or 8
he's treated especially poorly and corporal punishment and solitary confinement and withholding of basic needs is a big thing. etc etc. this is a religious cult obviously so that sort of biblical fear is instilled in him. uhhh then for whatever reason i have to iron out the kids are allowed to go to private schools close by, probably as not to seem like a closed off and suspicious cult that draws attention. lewis meets chris at his school (: hehe. lewis still has to go back to the commune every weekend though and thats especially hell because things get worse when he's in middle school. uhh when high school comes around hes actually plucked out of the school system and is going back to living full time in the commune and being homeschooled except he and 5 children are selected to go on a Retreat with father gabriel and two of the Brothers..the retreat is actually just living in an abandoned home in the middle of Nebraska and its one big sacrificial ritual thats lasts a year and the kids are of course neglected, made to do odd rituals, are humiliated. uhh basically its Horror Movie stuff... i wanted it to feel like a horror movie that lewis is trying to escape from. theres no light in the house. they only use candles and daylight. theres limited food. hardly any outside time. the ultimate goal is that they'll eventually get very malnourished and then theyll be sacrificed... a little girl doesnt make it. Lewis is upset because he learned to love her as a sister. he can feel himself getting closer to death.... he has deep lacerations on his leg from abuse and theyre not getting treated and his tissue is dying and his leg is getting gangrene. he escapes one night through the corn field and he tells a man he sees in town to call the police and then flees. he realizes his leg is dying! he by chance meets a doctor! lewis has no money for amputation so he offers something Else and this disgusting doctor accepts!!! lewis is sent off with a bad wooden prosthetic and not enough healing time in bed and no physical therapy and his own supply of pain meds that will soon run out! lewis prostitutes for money and pain meds in mystic overhang!! he gets with very repulsive men that mistreat him! when lewis is touched he gets very pliable and limp as a coping mechanism! he stops the meds and withdrawals! thank you
15. The least painful backstory I’ve given an OC
My least painful backstory HHHSHDHSHS IS TANNER. jesus tanner grew up with a very...here or there father. he's not great at all. he's not the worst. but being around him feels kinda empty and they don't talk about much besides tanner in hockey and other common interests like that. his parents are divorced, he feels lost with his passions and where he's going in life. it all feels a bit aimless and he feels like he's on the Precipice of something bad or losing something he holds dear. like friends and memories and his girlfriend amiyah. his brother is really mean like pretty much abusive..he's 14 and he's narcissist asshole with a fucked up head and he makes his life hell and he's honestly a little frightening. sometimes his mom is unaware of the important things going on in tanners life and she's a bit harebrained and unfairly self absorbed but she is a good lady and he loves her. also we arent sure yet if this is canon material but he gets amiyah pregnant and she miscarries 3 months in SO...yeah there u have it.

ok i want to talk about my cookie run ocs so i will but below the cut because thats just how it be sdkljklsjklea (im going to TRY not blab out everything i think so then if you want you can send asks)
FROG!!
ok so hes a liddol baby . he likes to hang out with sand ! theyre best friends and sometimes go to beaches and other places together. he’s very sweet and a little quiet. just a baby.
speaking of sand here they are!!! they dont talk much but when they do it sometimes freaks cookies out due to it being a drippy sand hole like
frog doesnt care about it too much . sometimes he tries to put sticks or something in their mouth just to see what’d happen. sand just eats the stick
rabbit’s foot is ! very lucky to say the least. hes also pretty gullible and easily fall for tricks but due to his luck they never seem to work out. very rarely does something harmful happen to him, though things like disappointing or saddening other cookies can happen.
SPEAKING of disappointing or saddening cookies... fun dip! he’s often disappointed due to his tricks not working on rabbit’s foot but that only motivates him more. someone once said he looks like he’d be gumballs brother and honestly that’d be a chaotic pair of siblings (while im hesitant about canon relations with ocs..... who cares????). so yeah fun dip and gumball are brothers.
rabbit’s foot is very much like a young child (though he is aware of a lot of things, he just has a personality alike to a young child. not a brain alike to a young child) and fun dip is a goofball prankster.
almond is very grumpy and they want to be a powerful wizard . honestly if they knew how to contact de or find her they would. also they are very emotional but tend to bottle it up (becuase in their tags on their ref its like “bad boy or crybaby” and i was like ‘’ok both’’).
they dont hang around cookies often
and now for your local gamer boy. basically mlg jokes all the way around. mtn dew cookie references all that old stuff! theyre likely aware of other things too but theyre like “ah, nah, no thanks bro lolololol” and somehow they have that one robotic male voice? you know the one in all of cowbelly’s videos that reads the memes? yeah that one. idk how to describe it
they also live off of doritos! besides their pet because it’s kind of obvious that’s a different dorito (plus g4m3r br0 has been existing for a while so it’d taste bad)
(mtn dew cookie is pangender)
garlic cooky! hes a dad and he’s married but that was on ponytown . i made him when me, kiley, and jamie decided to make a lil oc family . kiley made bread cookie his husband and jamie made butter, their daughter. garlic cookie had a very chaotic family when we all actualy messed around on there !
he also adopted some one’s herb pony on ponytown who acted very feral . we joked about dog with a blog because garlic called him the family dog . garlic cookie thinks toe toe (what he named the feral herb) is a dog unironically. like legit. also he’s a vampire ! he’s allergic to himself but isn’t dead yet somehow.
i could talk more about his family but yeah !
ravioli ravioli give me the formuoli (this oc was made on ponytown as well ! she acts like plankton)
she is a gremlin. pretty small. why is there so much evil in you, little cookie? also i was playing with styles in that doodle so like ? if you want me to draw in that style a bit more then just mention it
ngl i dont like how i doodled corn dog in that one but! corn dog is a baseball player and she’s very much ur classic jock. but nicer. she will want to play with you no matter what you want to play she loves ball games ! considering shipping her with orange cookie for some reason idk why but. if you want corn dog x orange then ig just ask for it sdkljdsljskl ;) i might doodle it too. corn dog x orange x lime? maybe but probably not since it seems like lime would get too jealous too easily
ASIDE from ships i really like how i first drew corn dog
what i struggled with with my doodle was her hair and i need to practice that a bit so i might look up things to practice with that ;-O
birthday cake ! he is chaotic party. very energetic. i completely imagine him whacking his face right into cake at a birthday party like if u gave him the 2nd anniversary cake his message would just be like. “*SPLAT* feels good on my face!” just to make it obvious he threw his face into the cake. also he has eyes he just likes to cover them up. maybe he’s blind but i based the blind fold thing off of terezifjseakljklw jklfjkldjkl jfkljwlkjioKLSJKLFJEKLRwer
gasoline cookie! i only made this character just recently on ponytown. he is very tired and lacking energy and is overall soggy in a sense. party pooper and very serious. i made this guy because i was joking like “if there were a gasoline they’d have a tension with fire spirit thats like ‘’DONT DRINK MY HAIR’’ or something” and then i made him
JAM!!!! they are my baby child and i love them a lot! i even made a blog for them but idk if its still up uhhh @cookiestuckinspace ! send asks there if you’d like i guess? the blog is very dead. mtn dew is also there! there’s also unicorn cookie but i didn’t draw her.
they are a very sweet cookie who wishes to befriend many aliens! they’ve learned many languages and often mixes things up (as in, like, you know, accidentally saying an alien idiom in english or an english idiom in alien, forgetting words from either language then trying to describe it then BAM remembering. probably said an alien idiom in ANOTHER alien language while speaking in an english conversation). they know plenty of written languages and honestly? they try so hard to make sure every one is heard. theyre not very professional and theyre kinda bad at driving a ship
whcih is why they let their space buddy drive the ship! yeah their dog, buddy, drives a spaceship. its funky but their dog is literally a spaceship itself.
phoenix!!! i only made him because.... on ponytown there was a mythical beast cult. he likes bugs and orange juice i think? capri suns? i dont know but i think he’s had a drink from a juice box before. theres not much about him but! yeah
RYE COOKIE! hes not really exactly a cookie. more like bread than gingerbread, if you catch what i’m throwing. jam tries really hard to be his friend but he doesnt speak any of hte languages jam knows and jam is trying really hard to figure out what he speaks so they can be friends.
thats all i guess ! please send asks about them or say “would ___ and ___ be friends?” i like to think about the relationships my ocs would have with each other !
heres the image i posted earlier with all my ocs with their names! if you read through this then i love you and have a good day <3
#cookie run ocs#ocposting#haha yeah i could talk about my fandomless ocs too ! i have too many object ocs and im not truly TOO much into object shows . not as much as#i used to be#i really like how i drew almond cookie!

Headcanons for the RFA+Saeran going to MC's family's house but as the day progresses MC's family has some crazy drama like MC's sister slept with the other sister's bf and it turns out her brother cheated on his wife and theres so much drama and MC and the RFA+Saeran are just there like "okay wow um"
Sure haha
YOOSUNG
* you invited him to spend a weekend with your family
* mostly because your parents wanted to know him
* and also your sisters were coming too
* so it was going to be a typical weekend at your house
* nice food because your parents loved to cook special meals on weekends
* movie nights
* and maybe some games
* it was like that all your life
* so you were excited to show Yoosung all of this
* when you two arrived your sisters were already there
* so he got to meet everyone
* and being like he is everyone loved him
* later that day you were helping with the dinner and he was talking with your sisters
* dinner was ready and the table was being loud as ever
* everyone talking about different topics
* your mother talking about her job and your dad about something that he saw on internet
* your sisters talking about college
* they were a year apart and went to the same college
* you were sitting next to him so you two were talking
* mostly because the rest was a mess and you couldn’t hear the other conversations
* but all of sudden the table stopped
* you both looked up and your sisters were about to fight
* you knew their looks and this was going to be huge
* they started yelling at each other
* about stupid things
* your parents trying to calm them
* it was impossible
* you knew those two since they were born and nothing was going to calm them
* “I MEET HIM FIRST! I TOLD YOU! “
* “YOU NEVER SAID HIS NAME!! HOW I WAS SUPPOSED TO KNOW! “
* Yoosung was in shock
* they were fight about a boy
* who apparently was dating them both
* “Mc, should we stop them?”
* he was whispering because he didn’t wanted to upset them more
* “no, leave it… I guess it will stop soon”
* also you wanted to know more about this, it was like a tv drama
ZEN
* he is dead nervous
* he wants to do a great impression
* so he wears nice clothes and bought a present for your parents
* “are you sure this is fine? only wine?”
* “Zen, calm down. They are going to love it. Did you thanked Jumin for the suggestion?”
* “yes…”
* you two made your way to your parents house
* they greeted you with happy faces
* of course they were happy to see you
* and happy to finally meet Zen
* “Oh dear, she talk about you every time. Don’t worry, if you are like she described you you will be fine”
* you mother was being nice as always
* your father was a bit more quiet but he was just keeping an eye on Zen
* funny enough they were friends by dinner
* “oh I forgot to mention but your uncle is coming too, he brings the kids”
* “mom, they are not kids anymore. They are older than me”
* “oh, yeah… they are still young to me”
* the food was so good
* and then your mother offered tea to everyone
* and your dad and uncle started talking about their school days
* “you remember that girl? the one we both liked?”
* they started talking about that girl
* your mother didn’t said a single thing
* she was kind of pissed
* and you could swear they were going to fight soon
* but surprise!
* your cousins were the ones fighting
* “HOW COULD YOU DO THAT??”
* “WE WERE DRUNK!”
* “SHE WAS MY GIRL, DUDE”
* “YOU BROKE UP WITH HER!!!”
* you looked at Zen
* his jaw dropped
* he was not expecting this
* but to be honest neither you
* “WE GOT BACK LIKE A WEEK LATER”
* “IS NOT MY FAULT!”
* you couldn’t do nothing but stare
* they were giving a big ass show
* your uncle tried to stop them
* but he couldn’t do much
* “WHY DO YOU CARE? SHE’S WITH OTHER GUY NOW”
* “BUT SHE WAS WITH ME, AND YOU HAD SEX WITH HER!!”
“IT WAS LIKE FIVE YEARS AGO!”
you looked at Zen and his eyes almost popped out of his face
he tried to say something but nothing came
JAEHEE
you two are going to your cousin’s marriage
she’s very happy that you wanted to go with her
and of course the ceremony is beautiful
she tears up a bit
but now the good part starts
the food and the party
what can be better
you are with the most lovely woman eating nice food and about to get drunk
some people are dancing and you are still in the table
some of your aunties come to chat a bit
you haven’t seen them in years
but they are… a bit intense
they love to talk about people
“did you see what she’s wearing?”
“I can’t believe your cousin’s boyfriend”
and suddenly they started talking about one of your aunties and how her husband was cheating on her
you were kind of interested too
but it was still a bad thing to do
“I heard that he’s with a girl way younger”
“and she doesn’t know nothing”
they were pure evil
speaking of that poor woman like she wasn’t part of the family
they were about to say more shit but in a second they both were covered in some red cocktail
you looked at your back and there was the woman
“you want to talk shit on my back? huh?”
Jaehee was about to say something, to calm the situation a bit
but the women started a little fight
nothing serious
but they were saying some shit
“you are always like this, talking and talking but doesn’t do shit”
“oh come on, he’s cheating and yet you are here angry at us”
“at least I had sex, not like you lonely bitch”
all the attempts of Jaehee trying to calm them failed
and at this point she was just like “wow…”
she looked at you trying to find an explanation but you were as speechless as her
you two did nothing but look until some men came to separate them
the rest of the night was fun but you will always look different at your aunties
and Jaehee will always remember how she meet your family
and how… interesting some of them are
JUMIN
he is happy to finally meet the family you always tell stories about
that big and loud family you have
“you have many siblings”
“yes, I do”
he is still impressed on how many siblings you have
6
he can’t believe how you managed to be with so many people in the same house
but he sure wants to meet them
hearing all those stories about them getting in trouble of fun fights with water
sounds like a family he has to meet
but is hard to get all of them at the same time
they all have different lives now
so he only met your little sister
but nothing about your other 5
but somehow your parents managed to bring them all in the same weekend
“your house must be big”
“not as your house, but we fit perfectly”
he is really having a great time
hearing about you by your older brother’s point of view is something he would treasure for life
and let’s be honest all your older siblings want to meet him
you and your little sister were the babies of the house
so you got the protection fo them all
you older sister is with her boyfriend as well
and they seem a bit distant
but you are more worried about the questions your bothers are making Jumin answer
“Jumin, you don’t have to listen to them”
“But MC, I want to”
“haha see kid, he’s a good one”
you were having the same old conversation with your brother when you heard them
“I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU”
“no… is nothing like that”
“NOTHING LIKE THAT??? ARE YOU SURE BECAUSE HERE IS THE PROOF”
everyone turned to see what was happening
your sister screaming at her boyfriend
he had a piece of cake on his shirt
and she looked just like that time you broke her favorite skirt when you were younger
but this was serious
“ARE YOU GOING TO STAY THERE AND NOT ADMIT IT??”
“no, please calm down”
“JUST SAY THAT YOU ARE SEEING OTHER GIRLS AND THATS IT”
that turned all the alarms
in a moment he was surrounded by your whole family
your dad and brothers
five big boys looking at him like he was the worst of the worst
and him looking at them like he was begging for his life
the next minutes are really tense
nobody says nothing
and no one moves a muscle
Jumin switches between your eyes and the scene
not knowing what to do
he is a strong man but he doesn’t want to get involve in this
“should we do… something?”
“no… you just…. don’t do nothing”
you know how to handle this
but you are waiting a bit
just to scare that idiot
so you don’t move until one of your bothers push him to the ground
you move fast and step in the middle of them
“Okay… no need of violence here boys”
you sound like this was a normal thing in your house
but only happened once in the past
“you idiot, leave this house and never come close to any of us or you are done. And you boys… just do something else”
SAEYOUNG
he loves fights more than he cares to admit
but as long as they don’t involve him
is a funny thing to watch
drama is his thing
would grab pop corn to see how people fight in front of him
so when he sees that in the family reunion some of your cousins are having an argument he’s the first person to be there
sadly he drags you there too
they are having some sort of fight about this girl
they both liked her
but she was more like a player
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? SHE’S MINE”
“OH THAT IS WHY SHE LET ME KISS HER IN THE PARTY?”
“YOU ARE AN IDIOT”
“YOU ARE THE IDIOT, SHE DOESN’T EVEN LIKE YOU”
Saeyoung looks in heaven
and you are just bored
somehow they start talking normal again
but the boy beside you has other plans
“so you are letting him take your girl?”
and boom
they start again
“Saeyoung!! why?”
“I love this drama, I want to know more”
they say more and more things
not nice things
until one of them punch the other
they start a real fight now
all your family is there now trying to stop them
but it doesn’t seem to work
they are really pissed
“This is your fault… you stop them”
“Umm… how? I mean… wow I didn’t thought they were going to….sorry”
SAERAN
it took him a couple times to feel comfortable at your house
your parents were always so good with him
but he was a bit cold at start
now he’s like their son
but this time your uncle and auntie are coming
he doesn’t feel bad at all
because how bad they can be if they are related to you
also your parents proved how good they are
maybe they were the same
and at start it seemed like that
nice talk
and funny laughs
but as the day passed
things got a bit intense
your uncle was a bit drunk
and he was talking no sense
and suddenly he shouter other girls name
your auntie of course asked him about it
but he was like “ahh you don’t need to know”
“I NEED TO, I AM YOUR WIFE”
there was no way to stop your auntie
she was angry
and he was drunk
“SHUT UP AND LET ME DRINK”
“YOU ARE NOT DRINKING MORE, NOW TELL ME”
Saeran was a bit… shocked
of course that is something you never expect
they continued with the screams
your parents stopped they efforts on trying to stop them
“IS NOT MY FAULT THAT YOU DOESN’T LOVE ME”
“WELL YOU IDIOT IS YOUR FAULT BECAUSE YOU ARE AN IDIOT THAT IS CHEATING”
Saeran was getting a bit tense by the situation
so you took him to other room
“is okay to let them fight?”
“yeah… they will end soon and leave”
“oh…that is… sad”
he was really concerned about them
and the whole situation made him feel sad too
but your parents entered the room too
“Maybe we can go eat something outside… they will be like that for a moment”
your dad had the best idea
and that made Saeran feel way better
Okay… sorry because 1) the first ones have that… that thing, I write those two in my notes and ended like that and 2) because the last two are really short and bad :(

Had mild anxiety attack.. had something to drink and smoked a little. Then I cleaned up my room, found my missing tangle and climbed under my weighted blanket. I'll be helping make dinner soon, Chris is doing burgers on the grill for the girls and him, I'm going to make corn on the cob. I'm hoping we have time to slice our watermellon. We just picked up a small grocery order today. I haven't gotten much done perusal. I stayed up late and didn't take a nap like I wanted to. I'll probably go to bed early tonight. Besides dinner my main goal is to shower and focus on self care cause I really need it to feel better. Its day 2 of no anxiety meds and it's not going easy but one day it will get easier with each passing day rather than more difficult. It'll be interesting to be without the meds in my system for awhile thats going to take getting used to. I still plan on picking up my refill for emergency days but not taking it daily as I have been for years.. theres power in this struggle I know it.

I dont remember my dreams but i remembered this one.
ok this is going to be disjointed, grammatically incorect, and the writting itself will probably bother some people cause my writting style? is trash.. i think. i had a wild cohesive dream last night and i HAVE to share omfg. i dont often remember my dreams.. if ever. I just started antidepressants like.. a couple weeks ago. the day before this dream, i was working on my friends car (01 ford taurus limited) trying to replace the front complete struts (fuck those struts omg) been at it for more than a few hours. shit just was not going well. finally got one strut out after a shitload of hammering but the new strut just wont go in and i said fuck this car im taking a break. went inside and joing my already in motion dnd session that we are at level 20 now. were in the last part of hell, beating the shit out of a rockshasha (idk how to spoell it) pentagram on the floor. blood pooling into it. we beat him then get an image of th partys home town being waylayed by an army of demons, devils, monsters of all kinds. we plane shift back, and get told that a rift opened up and they just started pouring out just a few moments after we left to deal with the rockshasha. game ends, and i join my friends with some apex legends for a few hours. my head starts to hurt like a MOTHER and i bow out. i watch some youtube on my couch so the tv is further away from my eyes than the monitor but headache doesnt do away. its one of those headaches that feel like your brain is getting stabbed and it was on my left temple and behind my eye at the same time... i dont get headaches often. so i say fuck it, i take four pills of off brand ibuprofyn, and two off brand pill of acetamitaphin. eat a banana, can of cambells chuncky corn chowder soup and go to bed.
this is the dream i rememebr having after having the most restful sleep i can rememebr having i n a long while.
ok so i remembr three parts of it maybe more. first thing i remember is that it was dark and stormy night (cliche i know just.. just hang on) panning through an apartment you hear thuds and a scream or two. sounds like fighting. after panning through a tossed apartment you finally get to the bedroom where a woman lay exaushted on the bed, room is trashed. (no this is not erotica hang on) man is haunched, twitching somewhat in the shadows of the room. pan to the woman on th bed, its a beaten and bloody blonde.. (for some reason my head went brittney spears idk why) and shes laying there kind of laughing.. chuckling and finally says, i wont let you have your way as the guy lunges for her she takkes a bottle and breaks it over his head. broken sharp bottle in her hand she glances at it as the guy staggers backk some,he growls. as he begins to lurch forward again lighting strikes and for a flash you see mangled, rotting flesh. eyes white, teeth missing, just horrible to look at, and groaning sniffing the air. presumibly for her. with the last bit of her strength she take the bottle to her throat amiling and crying that she both got away from this thing and sad that she has to die to do it.
im in a funeral home in what i normally wear, jeans, leather jackket, t shirt, bandanna, long hair. (it my dream of course im in it, just put yourself where i put me, im, mine, etc etc) Im standding therre waiting to go in and the same woman comes up beside me. Shes in kind of a black.. or whitish sun dress, depending how the light hist is.. or doesnt? with one of those hat that have a large... brim? (i dont know the word right now, those hat you see woman wear to the beach that offer a shit load of shade) around it. i rmember us chatting a bit and she finally looks at me. immediatly im struck with shock cause she looks like who we are going to the funeral for. I say "holy shit you like just like her" she says "oh yeah shes my twin, the only difference between our features is that i have one eye thats yellow". i then take notice of her eyes and finally ee that one ofo them is indeed yellow. but its not exactly?? its that thing that happens around the pupil that looks yellow and kind of spikey. idk what is called but it covered most of her iris. i told her this, ahs smiled and said "well thank you i never knew that" and walked inside. as i walked inside i saw everyone was well dressed and now im in a black suite and tie, hair pulled back. it was a large church with cielings that i could only imagine how high they were.
im in an attic type place. (presummably the area above the church??) im walking around lookks like the belfry from the first batman movie with michel keaton and jackk nicolson.. they arent there. its dark out, lights kind of peering through the cracks in the roof and slits of the wood. panning through the attic i see a particularly large crack in the wood. just big enough to look through. So i do. i see the guy who played glennn in the walking dead (i cant remember the actors name right now) standing there witha shotgun in hand and ak slung over him. looks like he did in walking dead (only thing ive seen that actor in so far -shrugs-) kind of decked out with grenades, a bullet belt, cargo pants, couple of boot knifes. hes talkingf to someone casually i cant make out what they are saying. suddenly he turns around in shock and yells run as he sharts fireing. can see everything inside the area now. its a long hallway.. ish? type area. looks the same as where i was. you see some creatures coming towards "glenn" and he stops grins and all of a sudden on ether side of the hallway is row after row of automatice guns. and they just start PUMPING they things full of bullets.. like they dont even stnad for more than a few seconds. after that he promptly runs to the side off where i cant see him anymore.
now im standing next to him and the woman from the start of this is in front of us, he hands me a knife. we both go in, shes jerking around but still as beautiful as ever, smiling and saying "you still think that will finish me do you, bwhahahah" you know that anime haha laugh that women do with the back of their hand to their mouth. me and "glenn" go in, with glenn warning of her dragons breath. and suddenly i have her in a choke hold and shes squrming. im trying to twist and break her neck, it just wont happen. shes smiling and i can see red creeping up her throat, smoke coming out of her nose and mouth, eye glowing red, keeps trying to grab my arm with her hands to get me to let go, shes held down by.. something idk. finally i say fuck this, i take the knife to go for her neckk and saw at her neck, its like rubber, the knife wont cut and suddenly theres wood covering it.. wind wipping around us. im sawing at the wood like my life depends on it. then i get pushed back as earth starts to form around her leggs and she gets lifted up on this mound. wood covering the top part of her and her arms. shes still laughing until shes not and is now panicked. im confusedas fuck cause i didnt do anything. th earth hardens into metal. so much pressure that the earth and rock turned to metal. the wood covering the top ortion of her, her arms become limbs of the tree and it grows from the top of her head and fully blooms in an instant then petrifies. her contorted screamingf face like a knot in the tree. "glenn" walks up next to me just as beaten and bloody as i am. somehow we are both standing. "glenn" asks "is it finally over?" and i say " it might.. for a while. but not forever" camera pans out as we both slump to our knees finally breathing and you se a cathedral that the funeral was in on a hude mound of earth and the city, landscape, everything is ether over grown or crumbling like in the game the last of us.
for some reason i think this would a wild ride as a movie or book or well written at all.. fuck

Day 28 Brook's Memorial Park to Sunnyside RV Resort 50 miles
July 31, 3:49 time, 2,044 caloires, 13.2 avg mph, 1,014; climbed After so many days resting up I was ready to ride. The campsite was great, I went to sleep at sunset reading Thomas Paine’s The Age of Reason, which is blowing my mind, and then was at with the sun at 5:30. This was a great execution of the morning routine so I was able to run through the breakfast and packing like a pro. This was greatly assisted by having a dry tent, I think I’m learning something about dew, I believe dew doesn’t settle through the night as much as it settles in the morning after the sun comes up. It makes sense, if the air around a colder thing heats up then the surface of the thing gathers dew, it’s just condensation I’m thinking. This lines up with my observation and is encouraging me to get up as soon as its light, I really hate packing a wet tent! Adapting my body to routine of the sun is really exciting for me, I have always been a morning person and believed this to be the best way to make the most of the day. I hope that I can keep it up when I get off the road. It makes me think about how much time I have been outside, and sleeping and waking without a roof over my head that normally allows my controlling of light, and so many other things. I am enjoying an learning a lot from the simplicity of a narrow realm of control and adapting myself to nature instead of trying to force all the elements to adapt to my lifestyle. But, don’t get me wrong, I’m also looking forward to sleeping in when this is all over and I’m back in my bed, I need some black out curtains. ;) However this morning I had almost pedaled out of the park before realizing I didn’t have my Garmin computer in its place, I turned around and dug it out of some pocket it didn’t belong in, I’ve got to unpack and reorganize everything soon. Because I am no longer on the coast I no longer have maps and planned routes, instead I downloaded a route on the Ride With GPS app and when I was setting it up I checked avoid highways. This was a bad move. I rode for a couple hours, the last few miles down the same road, I knew I had a right turn coming up and that it was going to take eight miles toward the next town. This road was deep grey gravel with some packed spots from driving but like cars do to roads like this the packed spots were rippled and a nightmare to ride over. I had a little hope that it might turn into a paved road so I went almost a half mile before throwing in the towel and turning around. The way back was downhill and there were several times I was certain I as going to crash as I drifted through the loose surface. Somehow I managed to not though and arrived back to where I started. I happened to just get phone service at this same time so despite the chaos I called mom right away because she hadn’t heard from me in a couple days, and I promised her that wouldn’t happen. She was at a computer and helped find my way, as she has always done so well, even before computers. I’m actually really grateful for this mixup because I ended up cycling through the Yakima Valley hop farms. Eighty percent of America’s hops come from here, they grow all different varieties, the ones hop fans are familiar with as well as ones they developed and cultivated ones found wild. I am a huge hop fan myself and have in the last year become for intrigued about how they grow. My local brew supply store had some for sale in the shop one day that you could grow at home, then I talked with a friend of mine that farms hay about them and we wondered if they’d grow in the Texas hillcountry, surely local Texas beer brewers would pay a lot more for Texas hops than what whoever pays for hay. The field is covered with a grid of rope and wire suspended twenty feet up in the air. Ropes are run from it to the ground, one for each hop vine in the rows. They grow tall wrapping up the vine and reaching for the sun, it’s a beautiful sight to see. I stopped as soon as I did, parked my bike and walked in to inspect what this was. It was a young plot and none of the plants had mature hops on them so I didn’t recognize them right away. I did have a feeling it was hops from the baby buds I found on them, I took a sample to ask someone later but I didn’t have to, down the road was a mature field with towering vines and fully developed fat hops. I was beside myself, my ideas were confirmed and they had been on my mind for such long time so to see it in person felt like the coolest culmination of my ongoing farming lesson that has been this trip. I continued to ride turn after turn through hop farms all at different stages of growth approaching harvest and delivering those delicious betters flavoring my favorite hopy IPAs. All day I had been riding through or along the Yakima Nation Indian Reservation and the Yakima River. I will take this moment to not start ranting about the genocide that created the foundation for our sprawling across this “great” nation and the irony and conflict that I feel about national pride because we collectively choose to ignore this fact……If you stole someone’s TransAm you wouldn’t go blasting around town, blaring Metallica, yelling about it with your mulleted head hangin out the window, flying a flag with you name on it would you? How long after it’s been stolen and passed down to your kids does it become appropriate behavior? This is why I have a hard time with the braggadocios pride on Independence day, why I’ll always bring up smallpox at Thanksgiving, and could only wear an American branded article ironically. Budweiser beer has the word America in the place the brand name used to be, it’s way out of hand. People keep realizing the truth in the line Not all Donald Trump supporters are racist, but all racists are Donald Trump supporters, and they also see them selves as the greatest patriots as well, only adding to my resistance to align where I’m supposed to, patriotism, its a no brainer right? You go all gung ho about where ever your from and allow ideas that’s it’s the best actually hold water. That’s insane, It’s like religions knowing that all the others are wrong and mine is right. Clinging to nationalism, hyper patriotism and rejecting things foreign or different are blatant signs of insecurity and self doubt, in some cases, in my opinion. But since I’m not ranting about the patriotic forgetfulness of the blood on our hands after “founding” our country I’ll move on to my next flat tire. The Yakima river took me into Granger, there are dinosaurs in Granger, all over the town, apparently its a ancient river bed and some of the first fossils were found there. There really cling to there dino identity in Granger, theres not much really to be honest. I needed to eat and managed to find the only restaurant in town that was inside a little Mexican market and meat shop. I had a great time visiting with the three woman sitting next to me at the second of the only three tables there. I drank a bottle of appeared to be Mexican version of pedialite, that stuff you give to babies when they are sick and need electrolites, which I sure did, it was hot outside. The bonus was it was Horchatta flavored! I love Horchata and used to order the cinnamon rice milk drink at Magie’s, my favorite Mexican joint in my home town. I hope I find that again some day! It wasn’t much further to the next town, I had options, I could have stopped there or gone on but I was in no rush and then my tire popped a quarter mile from the first gas station of the town so it was decided, Sunnyside Washington would be home for the night. I had a hell of a time changing this tire. The one tube I tried to replace it with ended up have a bad valve in it and wouldn’t take air, I only realized this after wasting a buck in quarters and a CO2 figuring it out. When I the bike was finally ridable and put back together I spent a while riding around this big little town. I checked the Big 5 Sports store and the Walmart. Little air guns and pellet guns use CO2 but they don’t screw in so they don’t have threads to use with my tire inflator. So knowing there was nothing left to do I cruised around eyes for a spot to camp. The back of the Walmart had a line of overhead bushes and right behind them was 8 foot lane before a huge endless corn field, it would have been perfect but it was still early, I could use a shower, and didn’t want to not be able to leave my stuff to go eat or get water. Sunnyside RV Resort was a much better option for twenty bucks. I met some wonderful kids too there that were really interested in me, my stuff, harmonica and had all kinds of random ass stories to tell me like, about the bug at school, the treasure he buried in the yard, and the youngest just mumbled stuff constantly. They were are dirty from playing outside all day and not afraid of their curiosity. The six year old gave me a blue magic stone which was one of the half glass marbles from a fish tank, I’m keeping it forever. The guy who ran the place sent me to El Valle for the Lamb Shank and Cadillac Margarita. The lamb was delicious covered in enchilada sauce served with rice and cheesy refried beans, I didn’t need any liquor though so I passed on the Cadillac. I went to bed full and happy I was back on the road and in the full swing of things.
PS. The encouragement from strangers and drivers everyday is amazing, powerful and really helps me push on sometimes when it’s slow. Please take note, If you want to express your excitement about seeing a cyclist on the road and cheer him on, be sure not to begin honking until after you have passed him and he can identify you as an ally by your fist pumping out the window. Ally’s honks don’t sound any different than Asshole’s
