Something I've thought of but (this is Raven Neil btw)

What if Jean notices Andrew and Neil's somewhat chemistry or rivalship on court. What if he's pissed off at first because, like Neil is his forever partner. What if when Kevin runs away and seeks protection from Andrew and Andrew actually manages to protect him from Riko, Jean realises that he can do the same for Neil. What if Jean is the one that gets Neil out of the Nest at the expense of his own life. Maybe riko grows more restless, or Neil comes back more nights bruised and battered so much so that Jean has a tragic, heartbreaking epiphany that he is the anchor that makes Neil unable to set sail.
