im all for making fun of and criticizing the way booktok (and booktube) aestheticize reading to an insane degree, making it more about being percieved as a reader more than like. actually reading. but some people on here lump the most normal things ever into the booktok consumerism pile?
like yes, booktok/tube places a lot of emphasis on the visuals of "reading", but then someone on here just went and said that simply "not wanting to damage your books" is a stupid booktok thing??? what? it's not vain or pretentious to care about your posessions, especially if they mean a lot to you. simply wanting your books to remain in good condition is not the same as having 100 unread books, or five editions of the same book, or books you hated, purely because they look nice.
and someone else said that having a yearly reading goal was also a stupid booktok/tube thing? since when? i've met people who set themselves yearly reading goals before youtube even existed. it's literally just a new years resolution, but tailored to a specific hobby?

@thebusylilbee (For some reason I couldn't reblog that reply of yours with this post. Pity)
A following of this beautiful, reflexive reblog:
Wow, you were so expressive, so passionate, so full of rage back there. I would've feel intimidated if you have added a deep, complex explanation of your point between all that messy spit of words..
As much as I would love to give you a full and detailed explanation of why your reasoning is fucking WRONG, I know by the way you wrote your thoughts you're not the type to willingly hear arguments that go against your beliefs and you're firmly set on your own interpretation of reality, so I'll be quick with this and leave you to keep swimming in your ignorance.
From all that load of bullshit and rage filled nonsense you spit out, there was one thing you're absolutely right about it:
"Hamas WOULD not need to exist"
Damn right they don't, their mere existence is a crime. I don't know how many palestinians outside Gaza you've spoken to but I can quote what the ones I came across have said about Hamas, here some examples:
"They're the real monsters. They do nothing to protect us and just keep making everything worse"
"We weren't allowed to leave because they shoot down anyone that tried to flew the country. They don't care about our lives, just our usefulness to them"
"We can't complain, we can't speak up, if they so much sniff someone's dislike towards them...."
It's hard to translate some of them, but you get the picture. Hamas are terrorists, that much is known. They've been also opressing, humiliating, torturing, raping, displacing, robbing and imprisoning people since their creation, but they've done it in a way that only those lucky enough to escape can confess their crimes. The rest are dead. But foolish, uncultured idiots like you don't want to hear that because it's much easier to pin Israel's government as the SOLE villains of this story and buy the propaganda western media is feeding you.
"if ZIONISTS hadn't created a fascist apartheid state called Israel"
Honey, I don't know what the fuck they taught you in History class, but the "fascist apartheid" state you speak of doesn't exist. Israel was created by the United Nations as part of a plan to give both the arabs and the jews their own territory and cease the continued conflicts.
(Fun fact: The Arab League refused this idea because they didn't want the jews to have their own land, and so shortly after proclamation, five Arabs countries joined forces to attack the freshly created Israel state and invade them. Or, using that term some people in this site love, colonize them. Israel fought back, won for some dumb stroke of luck and, as a solemn "fuck you", they also took a 25% more of the territory that have been accorded)
Now, the Israel's government has clearly changed a LOT (speaking in euphemisms ofc) back from the original days where they genuinely just focused on the Israelis and right now there's really nothing good left in that corrupt, self-centred circle of men.
"zionist ideology wasn't RACIST GENOCIDAL AND INHUMANE."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The origin of the Zionism movement was born as a response to the growing anti-semitism, an actual racist genocidal and inhuman movement, that was happening all around the world. So using those particular adjectives to describe it it's ironic and fucking dumb, because they go against the very reason of its existence.
Now there are various ramifications of Zionism, such as political Zionism, liberal Zionism, religious Zionism, etc. Not all of them good obviously, but the main core of this movement was focused ONLY in protecting the Jews and their culture. I'll never understand how a government that knows the tragedy their fellows suffered even dared to inflict it on other people, but well, guess some humans don't learn from the past.
And last one, the very jewel of your whole commentary:
"You are so fucking stupid, it's incredible that you would fuckign DARE tag your braindead bullshit with a pro-palestine tag when you quite obviously know and understand NOTHING"
I dare to tag "pro palestine" because I'm with them and I'm actually defending their lives, their cause and know where they come from, unlike people like you that speak up all proudly against others and use big words you don't even know the meaning of. If you actually cared about these people, you would have done your research and find out everything about this topic. But you don't, you simply want to show your deep anger for their pain in the same way all influencers and fake activists have been doing since this started. You want to be "part of the trend".
The only one who obviously knows and understand NOTHING about this conflict is YOU, fucking uncultured and ignorant asshole. Everytime I see people like you speak up on this conflict makes my blood boil, because all of you have been blisfully blind while all the atrocities were happening but now the biased social media and tv shows and all these radical anti-semitist political figures are telling you how bad it is, you think it's time to "stand up against the unjustice".
People like you only see the surface of it plus the propaganda they shove in your throats, and not the centuries of dark history and events that have consequently lead up to this. So how about you shut the fuck and let the grown people speak about this matter?

I don't know if someone already asked this but can we get facts abt the ROs? thank you!!
Small warning that some of these can be considered spoilers !
Sol
— Sol's one 'party trick' is being able to tie a cherry stem into a knot with their tongue; lots of time on the road passing by many cerasi meant a lot of free time to kill by practicing dumb tricks
— They're terrible at actually trying to flirt. They excel at saying whatever dumb thought pops into their head and having it come out incredibly romantic, but if they have to put real thought into flirting, they sound like an idiot; lots of stumbling over their own words and getting flustered when trying to come off smooth
— They're not the type to paint their nails themself, but if someone else wanted to go through the hassle of it (the augur, Khiita, etc), they'd enjoy that time together and end up really liking how it looked
— They don't like taking off their shirt / going shirtless, and pretty much the only time they will is when bathing. Part of it is cultural, and part of it is shame over their body—or more specifically, their back and how heavily scarred it is. Like with their face, they have difficulty with the bare skin there being touched
Khiita
— In a modern AU, Khiita would dress like the unholy combination of Ms. Frizzle and an early 2000s / 2010s Disney Channel kid
— She was born in a small town by the sea and she misses it a lot; much of her memories of childhood are filled with seashells, pearls, and a specific cliffside close to the water. It's the one place where, if given the choice, she would always return, and it's why she always wears the pins in her hair. It's the last physical reminder she has of that place
— The tattoos along her arms, legs, and back are a form of 'living' magic; they can shift and react in response to her own magic or strong emotions. Her eyes sometimes act as an extension of this, though their shift in color is not always due to either of those
— Pretty much the entirety of her body is covered in tattoos; each one has a specific meaning, both personally and culturally. For example, the star on her palm is what's known as a guide star, meaning the star she was born under and the dead-god it's connected to. Each guide star is part of a greater constellation, which is depicted on her opposite palm; hers is Indiri, which is the container for Taharus
— Her love of speaking indirectly comes from her time spent at court. It began as a way for her to entertain herself while stuck around those she didn't want to converse with, and over the years has turned into a type of self-soothing; she's more likely to start speaking in circles when she's uneasy or otherwise worried about something, usually as a way to keep some distance between her and what it is that's upsetting her
Flor
— Flor writes frequently in their downtime. Snippets of their day, how it went, what they did. What colors the leaves were, what the air smelled like, turns of phrase others used that really stuck with them. Even the water levels in the canals and how soon until they think it'll rain again. A living memory, of sorts
— They have a pretty good ear for music, and can usually replicate a basic tune or melody after only hearing it a couple of times. They really took to the lessons they had growing up, though it's something they often forget about
— Growing up in two cities where nobility is everything was difficult for them. A lot of their shyness when given any meaningful attention is rooted in how little notice people paid them until they learned who their father was. It made it difficult for them to gauge which relationships were real and which weren't, and while much more at ease with their place in life now, for a big chunk of growing up they preferred their own company
— They've taught a lot of people in their life how to cook, as they find it an important fundamental but also the best way to connect with another. Their most recent attempts have been with Cían and their sister; both have been disasters in their own way, but Flor hasn't lost hope (yet)
Cían
— Cían was sick a lot when he was younger, and his childhood physicians were convinced that his weak immune system was due to his lack of magic. A lot of his time was spent alone, away from others
— As a result of this, he was also painfully shy, to the point where he had difficult speaking to and in front of others. He's mostly outgrown that now, but he still speaks in a similar manner of blunt, clipped sentences, a leftover habit of avoiding prolonging conversation
— His mother only speaks to him in Seltk, an older form of Selh and done as a way to spite his father. She never taught him anything beyond a few rudimentary phrases/words (his name, 'mother', and 'be quiet'), so most of his knowledge of Selh comes from self-teaching
— His interest in fish comes from his uncle; Jean loved fish, and would often take a young Cían to the upper gardens to watch them swim in the pond there. His attachment comes less from his own personal love of fish and more from them being a part of the few good memories he has of childhood

Riddle x Mouse!Reader
The reader is a mouse beast-man that is 7.5 inches tall in normal form.
It was odd going to a school completely designed for larger students, and it took a lot of convincing to get the crow man to let me attend the school.
The entrance ceremony was a little awkward cause the headmaster had to lift me to the mirror to be properly signed to a dorm. And wouldn't you know it, I was assigned to the Heartslabyul Dorm. I happily hopped down and climbed up to my seat, next to a redheaded boy.
He looked so serious, yet he was shaking in his boots, so I thought I would lighten the mood.
--------
I made it and into Heartslabyul dorm no less.
"Hello there," Squeaked a voice.
I looked around looking for the source, but only saw Trey and a space next to me.
"Down here," It squeaked again.
I looked down at the chair beside me to see a tiny Person with Mouse Ears and tail. They looked no bigger than a teacup, why is such a tiny student doing here.
"I'm Y/n Angera, What's your name?" Y/n squeaked with a cute smile.
I could feel my heart start to quicken and pound in my chest as I stared at this tiny person, But why, why do I feel this way.
"Are you okay, your cheeks are red," Y/n said in a curious.
"I-It's nothing, M-My name is Riddle Roseheart," I said as I tried to recompose myself.
"It's nice to meet You Riddle," Y/n said as they held out their tiny hand.
"Likewise, So where do you come from?" I asked as I gently shook his hand.
------------
"I come from Whisker Town," Y/n said squeaked proudly.
Riddle blushed at the tiny person's cuteness, as his heart fluttered in his chest. Riddle tried to compose himself as he looked away from Y/n while muttering something just loud enough for Y/n to hear.
"If you e-ever need help with something just ask, Okay," Riddle mumbled.
Y/n's eyes widened at the sudden offer, but They smiled none the less.
"Thank you, Riddle, that's very kind of you," Y/n squeaked.
"I-It's cause rule #543 of  Heartslabyul, help your fellow Dormmate. You should memorize all the rules," Riddle said with a snobby pout as his cheeks stayed a slight red.
"well Thank you nonetheless, Riddle," Y/n smiled.
-------
From that day on Riddle would help Y/n around the school, From helping them get to classes, helping them upstairs, Studing, and other big people tasks. The two would enjoy their study sessions and tea parties together.
"Y/n that tea cup is too tall and big for you. Your going to fall in," Riddle warned, as he watch the tiny mouse person try to drink from the cup.
"NO, no I got it," Y/n said as he leaned over the lip of the cup.
And just as Riddle warned, Y/n fell into the cup of hot tea. Riddle gasped as he quickly fished out his tiny friend. Y/n coughed up some tea as Riddel craddled them in his hands. Riddle could feel his heart race as Y/n continued to cough up tea, and slowly sit up in Riddles shacky hands..
"I told you not to do that!" Riddle scolded as his heart slowly calmed down.
"In know, but.." Y/n paused, " That was some pretty good tea,"
Trey who was also at the table chuckled slightly as Riddle's face turned red from frustration.
"You could have gotten horribly burned you.. you idiot," Riddle mummled as he put his mouse friend down on the table.
"Sorry Riddle. I didn't mean to scare you like that," Y/n apologized.
"it's fine just don't do that again," Riddle mummbed.
As Riddle spent more time with Y/n, he would notice a few students from their dorm would pick on his favorite tiny friend.
But when he brought it up with the dorm leader, he simply shrugged his shoulders and did nothing. This angered Riddle, as he challenged the Dorm head the next day and won. Making him the youngest dorm head ever.
At first, things were pretty good, Y/n was thankful that Riddle put a stop to the bullying, and it helped them to get along with the other Dormmates.
But naturally, things slowly started to go downhill. Riddle started to become more and more uptight and strict as the months passed. At first, it wasn't so bad, but then it started to get intense.
When Y/n would be a few minutes late to lunch and drank lemon tea passed a certain time, it was an Instant scolding. If Y/n was fooling around with fellow dormmates st a tea party, is punished by forced to write a 2 paged apology. No one was spared from Riddle's punishment, not even his close friends. Y/n soon found it harder and harder to keep up with all the rules that Riddle enforces.
"Hey Y/n are you feeling okay," Trey asked as he helped his underclassmen up the stairs.
"I don't think I can keep up with Riddle and his rules. Just look at me! How can any think sending a 7-inch tall student, to feed 4 feet tall birds, is a good idea?!" Y/n ranted.
"Well Riddle is just trying to uphold tradition," Trey tried to defend.
"I was almost eaten by a bird yesterday, Trey," Y/n said with an unamused face.
"Well, let's just turn in the apology paper," Trey said not knowing how to respond to that comeback.
"I don't think I want to come back to Heartslabyul anymore," Y/n sighed.
"Y/n don't say stuff like that," Trey whispered.
Little did the two know, Riddle heard everything, and Y/n's words caused Riddle's heart to ache. But he quickly shoved those feeling down and locked his heart as he begrudgingly excepted his Tiny Dormmate apology essay.
------------
I can't show lenience towards anyone, rules are equal among everyone. If I have to feed the flamingos, everyone feeds the flamingos. I will show no favoritism to anyone, not even you...Y/n.
But it seemed that Y/n meant what they said, cause the next day was the next unbirthday And Y/n was no where to be seen.  They weren't hiding in the tea pots with the door mouses, or playing tricks on fellow Dormmates. They just vanished, but according to Trey he still sees them around and attending to his classes. They've been spending a lot more time with the nonmagic student Yuu and that trouble some first year, then...me.
No if they wishes to be a lazy traitor, fine. So be it. Yet Why do I feel like I've been abandoned?
------------
"are you sure you can beat Riddle, Ace?" I asked as I held onto his magic blocking collar.
"He sounds pretty strong," Yuu said with a worried tone.
"I can totally could take on that shorty," Ace said with a cocky smile.
"This won't end well," I sighed.
And It really didn't; Riddle was able to beat Ace in a second. Ace being Ace started to spout off about the unfairness of Riddle's reign, while starting a miny revolution in the process. Then everything went to hell.
____
"Riddle , I challenge you to a duel for the Drom head stautes," Y/n squeaked as they hopped off Yuu's shoulder.
"Haha, A tiny thing like you, Face me?" Riddle laughed with a Cocky smile, " Your just as much as a rule breaker as that first-year, and you will always need the help of others just to do basic student activities. I'm so many leagues above you Y/n. You amount to nothing just like Ace,"
Y/n simple glared at the taller boy, but Riddles gaze didn't go noticed from Yuu. He could see some sort of anger and sadness trying to be covered up with pride and regalness. Y/n just glared as Riddle kept on monologing on and on about the rules.
"What sort of lessons were you taught that you can't even understand that?" Riddle smirked, " Your home town, Whisker Town must be tragic. I bet that you didn't even receive proper education before you step foot into this school. Truly Pathetic".
Y/n's eyes began to water at Riddle's words as they started to try hold back their tears of frustration and anger. With a battle cry Y/n dashed towards riddle as their body began to glow and grow.
Suddenley Y/n was Trey's height, as he ran and punched Riddle square in the nose. Everyone was still in shock at Y/n's spontaniouse growth, but Y/n slowly began to shrink and just bearly met Riddles hip .
"It looks like Mantaining that form drains to much of Y/n's energy," Crowley said as he observes his students.
"So Y/n has to limit his magic use, or else they'll get to tired?" Grim asked.
Suddenly an egg was thrown at Riddle, and everything escalated, as Riddle's overblot took control. With a swift hand movement everyone was wearing Riddle's magic blocking collar, and Y/n was forced back to their 7 inch tall body. The sky turned dark and rubble started to float up into the air as Riddle changed and turned into a monster.
"I am.....! I'm ALONE!! I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO IS ALWAYS RIGHT AND DON'T NEED ANYONE!!" Riddle cried out.
"R-Riddle," Y/n gasped at the transform class mate.
"I do not need anyone who defies me in my world. Or leaves me, I am the absoute ruler. My world itself submits to me!" Riddle laughed darkly as he grabbed Y/n by the tail," I will not tolerate any other answer except, "Yes, Lord Riddle."!
Riddle tossed Y/n hard onto the ground and Y/n's world went dark.
------
"Y/n-san, Y/n-san are you okay?" A voice asked.
Y/n opened their eye's to find themselves in the infirmary, with their head ,left leg, and torso wrapped in banages.
"Good, your alive. Thank goodness," Yuu sighed in relief.
"What... Happened to Riddle. Is he okay?" Y/n asked slowly.
"Yeah he's fine, You were out for 6 days. Oh and know that your awake, Riddle wanted me to invite you to the unbirthday tomorrow. He wanted to apologise to you," Yuu said.
"Well, umm..... It would rude to turn down an invitation," Y/n smiled wearily.
----------
Riddle sat nervesly at the main table as he waited for Y/n and Yuu's arrival. A tiny tea set and table was set up for them.
Soon Y/n and Yuu arrived, as Yuu set Y/n down on the table. Y/n held their minature cruches at their side as they sat down at the tiny set up for them. The two sat in an awkward silence till Riddle cleared his throat to call Y/n's attention.
"I-I wanted to say sorry... For the things I said and for hurting you. I let myself get out of hand," Riddle apologized as  tears ran down his cheeks.
Suddenly Riddle felt a gentle hand wipe away his tears. He looked up to see Y/n, but about his height and was smiling down at him with a kind and soft look.
"I Forgive you Riddle, just please don't cry. It doesn't suite you," Y/n smiled as Riddle blushed slightly.

Daily Blog #6: August 13, 2021
Okay, okay, I know it's a couples days later, but I can assure you that I did not forget; I purposefully, and kinda without a better option, didn't post on Friday, and you'll see why.
So the day started off pretty regularly: I got up, ate breakfast, got a shower, and then sat around playing games and watching YouTube for a bit.
That was until my friend showed up at my house...
He called me and said to come outside, so I did.
It wasn't long until I got into his car, and we started driving.
I definitely should have been more anxious or nervous heading out, but for some reason, I just sat there with my head absentmindedly poking out the window, not really thinking about it.
I really wish I had grasped the situation a little better.
We got down there after an hour and a half of driving and we parked a bit away because there were so many people there, so many people there, in fact, that we just got some food until it calmed down again.
It was gonna be a great fucking concert.
Hella Mega Tour 2021, originally supposed to be Hella Mega Tour 2020, but postponed for obvious reasons.
We shopped for a tiny bit beforehand, not buying anything, and then headed over to the stadium 45 minutes before the concert was set to start. We were let in about 10 minutes later, and we filled our contraband water bottles that we managed to hide on the way in.
We sat there for a bit, me just listening to music on my Redmi Buds 3 pro.
I love these things.
Pretty soon the music started, and it was The Interrupters; everyone was feeling pretty lazy for this bit.
It's not like they were bad or anything, they were actually pretty good, but I guess everyone was just getting situated and didn't wanna bother using up all of their energy lol.
So The Interrupters' set is up, and they tear down the stage and reset it. Before too terribly long, Weezer starts up, and there's a lot bigger reaction from the crowd than there was before: people knew the songs, like Africa, Buddy Holly, Beverly Hills, and Feels Like Summer to name a few.
I was getting into it a bit, I knew a good few of the songs, I was moving along, I sang a bit, took some video.
What's cool is that I could feel myself moving along the scale, like going from no excitement while no one was playing, then tapping my foot and grooving to The Interrupters.
When Weezer first came on, I was just sitting there like, "alright, this is good shit." Towards the end, I was quietly singing Buddy Holly, their last song for the night.
I say quietly because there was a lot more loudness to come.
I should add that, up until this point, the music had been kinda unbearably loud, the highs really piercing and hitting hard.
Additionally, up until this point, I had been trying my best to document the concert with videos and audio recordings; it wasn't so much about enjoying the concert, for I've always been taught just to record stuff and not worry about the concert.
I don't think I've ever really enjoyed any of the concerts I've ever been to; I was there, but I wasn't. I didn't really know too many of the songs, and I had only listened to the artists in passing, not to mention the fact that my mother had been at every other concert I've been to, which is stifling in itself. I really can't enjoy anything when she's around.
But here we were; it was starting to get dark, and Fall out Boy was coming onstage. The crowd was getting into it with Weezer, and it was time for Fall Out Boy. The energy here had far exceeded both Weezer and The Interrupters, and this went for me as well.
I was sitting there, singing along and still occasionally recording, but I didn't have my phone out too much. I started to dance in my seat with every song, for I knew almost every one: Sugar, We're Going Down, Centuries, My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark, Grand Theft Autumn/Where is Your Boy, The Last of the Real Ones, Save Rock And Roll, and Dance, Dance being a few.
Throughout this set, everyone was singing along, but the real fun had yet to begin; the scent of smoke from the flames and fireworks finding its way through the crowd, the music now strong instead of piercing, a sense of unity between everyone in this packed stadium, between people of all walks of life: men, women, children, transgender, cisgender, non-binary, gay, straight, lesbian, ace, black, white, Asian, Mexican, young, old, middle-aged, and everything in between and outside... It didn't matter who you were or where you came from; you were at a fucking party, and everyone was gonna fuck it up once the main act came on stage.
Meanwhile, everyone was more than happy to celebrate with Fall Out Boy and some of their greatest and most memorable tracks.
Part way through Fall Out Boy's set, I decided to get off of my ass and join the growing number of audience members who were really getting into the groove and feeling the music.
It was so close to becoming an explosion of energy once Fall Out Boy was about to leave the stage.
After they left, the set was torn down once again and set up for Green Day.
Their was a low mix of music playing through the speakers all the while things were being set up. Once the stage was set, the music continued for a bit, but was then cut and replaced with a voice and lyrics that everyone knew immediately.
"Is this the real life. Is this just fantasy."
The crowd sings along to every word.
"Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality."
Freddie's voice poured out into the crowd, and the crowd sang them right back.
"Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see"
The song continued, and the whole crowd sang to the very end.
This really goes to show how impactful some people and groups can be on our lives... Although no one at the show was connected to Queen or Freddie Mercury, everyone who came to see these 4 bands still knew this great group.
Once the song was over, a mix of some of the most famous rock anthems began to play:
"We will, we will rock you"
"I love rock and roll"
"Hey, Ho, let's go"
A glorious piece all lead up to the 4 running onstage, Billie Joe Armstrong, Jason White, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool, joined now by 2 new members, Jason Freese and Kevin Preston.
All at once, it was an explosion of strong and passionate guitar jamming, soon followed by the drums and vocals of American Idiot. All at once, the crowd was rocking along with bopping heads, stomping feet, and swaying bodies. I only had my phone out to record for a short moment before I put it away and scarcely removed it from my pants for the rest of the concert.
I couldn't help but feel cocky, as a bi/pansexual (idk which one lmao), being allowed to sing the line,
"Well maybe I'm the faggot America"
I was like, "You straight bastards better not be singing that line 🤣"
It was absolutely incredible; the crowd cheered passionately and wholeheartedly at the end of every song and solo, after every quote from the band.
The coolest part about the concert was the fact that everyone just lost themselves in the music, as well as that everyone, without hesitation, followed what Billie Joe said. He says jump? WE FUCKING JUMPED. He tells us to scream? We. Fucking. Screamed. And when he wanted us to sing, we sang. I mean, okay, we were singing the whole time xD. I'm sure we would've sang if he told us to and we weren't already doing so lmao. What he said was our law, and we were doing our jobs as the dutiful citizens of Suburbia by following those laws.
It really is hard to express the level of pure energy at this gathering, especially when it radiates from every point in the packed stadium.
I screamed so loud and hard, and sang so long and passionately, that my voice started to go. But. Guess. What.
When you're at a place like this, no matter what, you just have this insatiable urge to keep going no matter what. When my arm got tired of throwing my fist in the air, I kept fucking going and even used the other arm too.
It's such a strange feeling when you feel like you're about to give out, like your voice is gonna break, or you're gonna collapse from dehydration and exhaustion, but you find around you the strength and power to keep on going, no matter how quickly your vocal health deteriorates.
Ask my friend, I couldn't speak properly after that shit xD. He even threatened to send a video of me talking to my choral teacher, who honestly would have been mad at me lmao.
Meanwhile, Green Day is playing some of their greatest hits, old and new alike, and I knew every single fucking one of them. I sang every song, and only took a break between 2 of them to down my whole bottle of contraband water in 3 seconds flat.
At one point, the band stopped playing, and Billie spoke into the microphone.
"Get your pretty lights out. I wanna see the pretty lights."
Everyone got their phones out and turned the torches on, as per his command.
"Turn the house lights off."
The lights go off, and the stadium is lit up almost as bright as it had been before, but this time with the lights of thousands.
"Look at that."
It was honestly an incredible moment.
That brings me to another point: when you go to a concert, you're not just paying for the music, you're not just paying to see a band, you're paying for an experience.
Let me tell you, this was one hell of an experience.
If you don't leave a concert feeling fulfilled, then the performers didn't do their job of giving you the experience that you paid to be a part of. I'm so happy that these four bands, especially Green Day, were able to deliver.
I really did love every moment of that show, which is such a rarity for me. I'm really happy that my friend took my mother's place. I can't fucking enjoy everything when she's around.
Oh yes, it wouldn't be one of my daily blogs without me talking about how my mother consistently pisses me off. Don't worry, I have some happy shit left to end on.
I swear to fluff though, she always manages to ruin everything for me. When we went to see The Lion King on Broadway, she insisted on coming with. That meant that I wasn't able to relax in my seat because this disgusting woman was sitting next to me and I had to cram myself to the side of my chair away from her. It meant that I wasn't allowed to cry when Mufasa died or during Can You Feel The Love Tonight because I knew I'd get made fun of for it.
I even went to a Fall Out Boy concert before, her refusing to let me go myself, and I didn't sing a single song because she'd just tell me to let the professionals handle it.
And for fuck's sake, the time she compared me trying to fucking validate my existence as a trans person to her wanting a car... That will always fucking piss me off.
Sorry, I got sidetracked. I was talking about how she ruins everything for me.
I literally cannot be myself around her. I've always been judged and ridiculed by my parents, and still am. I can't enjoy anything when they're around because I'm too focused on trying not to get made fun of or yelled at.
That being said, that concert was absolutely fucking incredible. I was with thousands of people who felt the same way that I did, and I could fucking jam out if I wanted to.
Apart from everyone being really on top of their game, and Billie Joe basically not aging since he turned 25, the only really notable thing left to say about the performance was when they pulled a kid guitarist onstage. He played for a bit, and they ended up letting him keep the guitar lmao.
BEST PART IS:
I SAW THE KID AFTER THE CONCERT, AND I WAS LIKE,
"Omg, hey, can I get a selfie with you?"
I was trying to be really low-key and quiet cuz I didn't wanna draw too much attention to him lmao.
The security guard was like, "Yeah, sure, but hurry up."
I TOOK THE PIC REALLY QUICKLY AND THEN HEADED OUT
HERE IT IS
Tumblr media
YES, OF COURSE I BLOCKED OUT MY FACE
But I absolutely love the vibes of this photo xD. It's blurry, the lighting is shit, and you can barely make out any details. It has a lot of character, and I would take this over a clean, clear photo any day.
Walking away, the kid's mom said, "You're like, the coolest kid ever now."
Agreed.
Then it was time to go home. Honestly, I didn't feel sad that it didn't last longer, or disappointed that I had to leave. I was actually very satisfied and fulfilled with what happened, which is honestly the way it should be.
Driving home, I stayed awake by sticking my arm out of the window and letting the cold rain hit fast like tiny needles.
I got home.
I passed out.
Although, that was technically on Saturday 🤔
ANYWAY, THIS IS MY LONG ASS BLOG FOR FRIDAY THE 13TH
I hope you enjoyed
Be good people!!!!

Drowning - Billy Hargrove x Reader
DOESN’T FOLLOW ANY STORYLINE
(Aka no spoilers)
WARNING: Major Character Death, Drowning, Swearing
I had never put much thought into how I'd die. I had hoped for a peaceful death--- or at least a quick one. I never thought it'd turn out like this.
~~~~~
     "Y/N you can't possibly be thinking about wearing THAT!" Y/N smirked as her boyfriend stood in the doorway to her room, flabbergasted. She turned towards him, doing a little spin to show off her new swimsuit. It was a slim black monokini that hugged her body and extenuated her curves. Y/N had to admit, she looked pretty damn good. Billy thought so too. In fact, he thought she looked so good, he had the sudden urge to stay back from Tina's pool party and show her what he thought.
     Billy's thoughts were interrupted when Y/N turned back around to grab her towel and sandals off the bed, "Billy, I just got this! What other chance will I get to wear it?"
     He sighed and held open the door for her. She ducked under his arm, giggling as she felt his gaze follow her every move. Billy rolled his eyes and snatched his car keys off her nightstand before following her.
~~~~~
The party was absolutely packed. Almost everybody was there. Steve... Nancy... Tommy... Carol. Even Jonathan was there! Granted, he was standing awkwardly in a corner, pretending that he wasn't staring at Nancy. Billy parked his Camaro and turned hesitantly to Y/N, "You sure you want to go? I thought you didn't even like Tina."
Y/N scoffed, "I don't. I just want to go because I haven't been to many parties, and I think a pool party is a great place to join the fun! Also, I get to see you shirtless."
She had rushed the last part but Billy had heard it. He grinned and pulled off his white sleeveless shirt. He flexed his muscles a couple of times, watching Y/N's reaction. Her eyes widened as she ran her eyes up and down his body. "Enjoy the view?"
Y/N blushed and torn her eyes away from his body. 'God, I am so lucky that he is my boyfriend!'  She unbuckled her seatbelt and stepped out of the car. Billy glanced back toward the house. He could already see people checking out his girlfriend. This is gonna be a LONG day.
~~~~~
     He had been right. All-day Billy had been chasing off the jocks, geeks, freaks, and sluts who had gotten too close to Y/N. Nancy and Y/N immediately found each other and had been chatting and laughing while Steve and Billy came to a silent agreement not to fight. As much as Steve didn't like him, Billy was pretty good at intimidating the horny, drunk teens that surrounded them. Billy put up with Steve since Y/N had refused to speak to him for a week the last time he had started a fight with the guy.
     Billy had just chased off another curious teen when he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He turned to see Y/N standing behind him. "Billy, I'm going to go get some water. I'm starting to get a little bit light-headed."
     "Babe, are you alright? Do you want to go home?" Y/N shook her head, cutting off his worried rambling, "I just need something to drink. I'll be right back."
     Billy made as to come with her but she put her hand on his chest, stopping him. She smiled up at him before walking towards the porch, where a crowd of people was dancing with their plastic red solo cups.
     "Excuse me... sorry... I'm just going to sneak in between the two of you... Whoops! Sorry!" Y/N awkwardly made her way through the crowd. She ducked under arms, around legs, through groups. It was as if she was doing her own little dance through the tangle of limbs. However, her dance was interrupted by a jock who had had a little too much to drink. He bumped into her, causing her to stumble back into a cheerleader, who stepped away before she could hit her again and possibly ruin her perfect hair.
     Maybe things would have turned out differently if the cheerleader hadn't moved out of Y/N's way, or if Y/N had simply let Billy go instead. Unfortunately, Y/N decided to go by herself, and the cheerleader had stepped out of Y/N's path.
     Y/N's dizziness came back full-force and she took a couple more steps forward as the world spun around her. She closed her eyes to stop the spinning. Suddenly, she felt as if she was falling from a great height; just tumbling down and down and down and down until she hit the ground. But the ground was not real. It was not even a visible thing. It was noise. The faint sounds of water and music and screaming. Screaming about what? Y/N did not know. The only thing Y/N knew was the pain in her chest that was rapidly growing worse and worse. She felt an intense need to breathe. Her body contracted, forcing her to inhale a salty substance. Y/N snapped out of her daze as she realized what was happening. She was drowning. Her eyes flew open, lungs burning as she attempted to move. Y/N felt frozen. She tried to wave her arms and legs furiously but it was as if she had been turned into a statue. Her body forced her to breathe again, causing more water to splash into her lungs. The noises she heard felt far away now. She could distantly hear the sound of a splash. The feeling of being lifted up and out of this watery hell was all that she felt before the world went black.
~~~~~
Billy had been listening to Nancy and Steve's conversation when he heard a loud splash followed closely by screams. His head whipped toward the pool. The crowd of people had stopped dancing and the people in the pool had moved away from something in the water. He stood and began to walk to the group of frozen teens. He tried to see what happened, but the crowd was too thick. How in the hell did Y/N get through this mess? Wait... where is Y/N?
"Oh SHIT!" Billy began shoving his way through the crowd, trying to find his girlfriend. He spotted Jonathan (who had been standing near the pool throughout the entire party) and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, "Where is Y/N?! Have you seen her?!"
Jonathan looked shocked for a moment before glancing at the pool. Billy's eyes flashed with horror. Y/N got dizzy often, and she had told him of the few times her dizziness led to fainting. There was one unfortunate circumstance in which she hit her head and earned a pretty nasty concussion. He should have realized the danger she was in when she told him about being light-headed. He let go of Jonathan and pushed his way to the edge of the pool, where he dove in.
He spotted Y/N immediately. Her hair created a halo around her face that would've made Billy's jaw drop in awe under normal circumstances. He quickly swam over to her and pulled her out of the water. She was unconscious and, worse, not breathing. He laid her on her back and began running through the rescue steps that he had been taught as a lifeguard. He pinched her nose and breathed into her mouth a couple of times before starting CPR.
Steve and Nancy saw what was going on and ran over. Steve ran to call 911 while Nancy kneeled next to Billy. He was crying. He could tell that she had been underwater for too long. Nancy began crying as she also realized the severity of the situation. Billy felt the slightest movement beneath his fingers. Y/N had moved. He gasped and kept up the CPR until Y/N began to cough and choke. Billy quickly turned her onto her side as water flooded out of her mouth. The flow of water stopped as soon as it started and Y/N's eyes fluttered open. She looked up at Billy and coughed a couple more times before gently smiling at him. She was still in a lot of pain and had a feeling things weren't over just yet, but she wanted to spend what could very well be her last moments, wisely. Y/N's mouth opened and her voice came out in merely a whisper, "B-billy?"
Billy lifted her off the ground and cradled her head in his lap, "Yes, Y/N?"
"Neh-next time wh-wh-we go swimming, leh-let's not hah-hah-have another near-death experi-experience," Y/N's voice shook, causing her to stutter.
"Of course, babe." A tear fell from Billy's face, landing on Y/N's cheek, where it was washed away by one of her own tears.
     "It's ge-getting cold. Did th-the suh-suh-sun disappear or som-something?"
Billy froze. It was hot as hell outside but Y/N's skin was growing colder and colder, "You're... It's probably just... shock."
Even he didn't believe his own words. Y/N gazed into his eyes, as if in a daze, "Were yo-your eyes always th-this blue?"
Billy couldn't reply. He could hear the ambulance sirens growing nearer, but he wasn't sure they'd make it in time. Y/N drew in a shaky breath and managed to speak without stumbling, "Billy you know I love you, right?"
Another tear fell from his eyes as Billy leaned over and planted a kiss on Y/N's forehead, "I know, babe. But you're going to be fine. The ambulance is almost here."
Y/N seemed to not hear him, "I love you more than... anything in the world... I'm so, so happy to have been your girlfriend... Please, don't... don't forget about me."
"You're going to be fine! The police are here! Please don't leave me Y/N! I need you! I can't... I can't imagine a world without you. I don't think I'm strong enough without you..." Billy's tears ran furiously down his face. The whites of his eyes had turned a slight shade of pink from his crying, which made his irises look jade-blue. Y/N reached a trembling hand to his cheek, "I'll never be far from you. I'll be--"
She was cut off by a sudden fit of coughing. Her calm expression was replaced with fear. Her hand slipped slightly but Billy grabbed it before it could leave his cheek. Her eyes were wide as she glanced over at Nancy, who was trying to keep the gawking crowd away. She softly called her best friend's name. Nancy heard and called Steve over to replace her as she ran back over to Y/N and Billy.
"Nancy, you will always be my best friend... Please just take care of Billy," Y/N laughed weakly, "Knowing him, this idiot will go do something stupid and get himself killed."
Nancy smiled as Billy feigned outrage. Droplets of water flew from Y/N's mouth as her laughter turned into coughing. She struggled to lift her head as she cried out through the coughing, "I don't wanna go... I don't wanna go, Billy, please!... I'm sorry."
Nancy turned away as Y/N took a final, shaky breath. Her head fell back onto Billy's lap, rolling to the side. Her eyes became glassy and unseeing as they fluttered shut. Her mouth fell open slightly, more water dripping from her pale lips. Her arm became heavy in Billy's grasp. He stared at her body in shock, "Babe? Babe, wake up."
He began shaking her shoulders, "Y/N, please wake up! Wake up! Y/N PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME! PLEASE OPEN YOUR EYES!"
Billy realized she wasn't going to come back. He raised his head to the sky and screamed. The sky was too perfect for the oh-so-unperfect event that had taken place. It was bright blue without a cloud in sight. Billy saw this and it made him furious. He felt taunted by the appearance of the perfect day. After all, Billy's life before Y/N was shit. She helped him during tough times. She let him stay with her whenever his father was a jackass. He would turn up on her doorstep with cuts and bruises everywhere, but she wouldn't ask questions. They would cuddle on her couch and watch movies on weekends. He would give her all the attention she wanted. He wouldn't hesitate to beat up people who looked just a little too long in her direction. He would make sure everyone knew she was his, as much as it annoyed her.
She was his entire world. Nothing mattered more than her, and now she was gone.

Sides of a Hero - Ch2 Past Friends
Ch1
Summary: Patton takes a trip down memory lane after the argument in the common room and realises there is trouble in the mindscape. Meanwhile, Virgil is dealing with the after effects of his trip down memory lane. Not all memories are good ones
Tumblr media
(Art inspired by @awkwarddoodles410 . Seriously go and check out their drawings. 100% better than what I can do.)
After the argument in the common area, Patton returned to his room and began flipping through one of his many scrapbooks of him, Thomas, and the other sides. He had crafted a photo of every special occasion. Their first video with Virgil - Virgil was not impressed with Roman’s original scripts. Their first physical visit with Thomas - that was scary for all parties involved. Thomas’s first Vine, first stage show - oh so many firsts. The days Virgil’s, Roman’s and Logan’s doors each appeared.
Patton sighed, staring at the page dedicated to their doors; eyes glued to the day Logan became…well…Logan. Before that day, Rational-Thinking, Learning and Conformity were all separate impulses roaming the mindscape. Patton had been so excited when they fused together to form Logan and he finally had another side to keep him company in the common area. Don’t get him wrong, fusing with Optimism, Sympathy and Morals was amazing, and becoming a main side of Thomas was mind-blowing, but…he had been lonely. Meeting Logan had been the best day ever and they became quite close. Working together to create the mindscape. Watching the other impulses fuse and imagining which ones would become core sides like them. Patton encouraging Logan to accept the ever growing Curiosity, and their inevitable fusion. Logan chastising Patton for fusing with the childlike Innocence. The two watching as Thomas’s various creative impulses slowly came together, and then watching the immaculate red door form in the common hall and seeing Roman emerge in all his glory. All three of them supporting Thomas in dealing with the ‘unkinder’ impulses and chasing them out of their rooms.

Patton's fond smile turned to a frown and his reminiscing was cut short by a sudden realisation. The other sides had been uncharacteristically frustrated lately. Very short fused...Patton stood and quickly walked out to the hall; knocking rhythmically on the other sides doors to get their attention in the least intrusive way possible.
Roman emerged first, sword in hand. "What's up, Pat? I was just practising my sword fighting."
Patton was about to respond when Logan opened his door; arms crossed and emitting a generally frustrated aura. "What do you two want? Come to belittle my opinion again, Roman?"
"Oh, come on! It was one mistake you..."
"Woah there!" Patton stood between the two, arms outstretched to keep the two apart. "Take a break from fighting for a second." A Kit Kat chocolate appeared in both Roman and Logan's hands.
Logan raised an eyebrow, "Really? Was that necessary?"
"Thanks for that Pat," Roman licked melting chocolate from his fingers. "You now have my attention."
Logan sighed, but Patton beamed. "Your welcome, Roman. Well, I called you out here because I think I worked out what has been happening lately."
"What?" Logan and Roman spoke in unison, and then glared at each other.
"Rage," Patton called out cheerfully. "The cheeky little devil is obviously playing games with us again."
"Ok. So, where is he?" Roman asked. "He can't be in my room. I have security for irritating impulses like him."
"Well he wouldn't be in my room," Logan spat. "Why would an emotion be in my room. He is obviously in Virgil's room."
Logan began banging on Virgil's door so hard that flakes of black paint began falling to the floor. Patton and Roman exchanged a glance and Roman drew his sword and pointed it at Logan.
Logan's eyes widened and stared at Roman; then they glimmered red as he smiled at the two sides.

Virgil sat on the ground and leaned back against the solid wall of his room; still counting to keep his breathing steady. Two shadows lingered in front of him as Virgil continued to reel from his nightmare of a memory. He could still here Lust and Ego's voices in his head and felt the lingering guilt of his actions. Lust and Ego were neutral impulses; he should have been thrilled that Roman allowed them in his corner of the mindscape. Instead he had acted like a selfish jerk.
Admittedly, it was the other two that should have been jealous. Thomas' teenage years were a time when Virgil, Deceit and Rage had an increased influence in Thomas' life and were at their most powerful. They had managed to turn the impulses 'safe space' into a room; despite it lacking a door to the common area. Ego and Lust had every right to leave; they weren't feeling heard in that space and the kingdom was a lot more accepting. But all Virgil was worried about was losing his friends to the main sides; especially Roman. He was the least accepting of all of them.
Virgil sighed. He couldn't linger on his own nightmares, he still had a job to do. Thomas wasn't going to be able to deal with negative comments if Virgil hadn't thought through possible negatives beforehand. He pulled the shadows close and allowed the negative energy to fuel his thinking.
The shadows weren't too hard to deal with. Just the normal post video blues: That video sucked. Can you even act? That video was too long. What a waste of time. Should have made the video longer and actually taught your viewers something. That singing was horrible.
As much as Virgil hated it, he knew some of this would reach Thomas. He was just glad to have taken the brunt of the negativity. The others would step in soon enough and provide words of encouragement and inevitably ignore Virgil altogether.
A rhythmic knock at the door pulled Virgil away from his thoughts and broke his focus. Virgil froze, heart rate rising and throat tightening as the shadows thoughts mixed with his own anxieties of what was happening outside. Calm down. Calm down. Come on, Virge. Focus! Virgil massaged his hand and started counting his breathing again. No further knocking occurred, and Virgil felt calmer. He focused solely on filtering the shadow and remaining calm to not upset Thomas too much.
Virgil stood and started walking around the room, stretching his tense muscles and shaking off the last of the lingering negativity. A sudden banging at his door caused Virgil to jump. That is not a good sign at all. Virgil's hands shook, but he clenched his fist and teleported to the hallway.
Virgil appeared behind Patton and Roman and quickly took in the situation; Roman pointing his sword towards Logan. What the heck is going on now? Logan turned and locked eyes with Virgil; he smirked, and his irises flashed red. Rage! He wasn't just influencing us, he fused with Logan. Virgil's own anger flaring, he stared hard at Rage; his eyes flared purple.
"Logan?" Patton asked warily.
Logan|Rage winked and suddenly Logan and Rage separated. Virgil maintained eye contact with Rage and pulled the impulse into his room.
Logan swayed slightly before falling forward; Roman was quick to drop his sword and catch the falling side.
"I have no idea what just happened, but let's get this Sleeping Spectacle to his room." Roman hook Logan's arm around his should and Patton moved to do the same on the other side. Logan merely mumbled in confusion as the two sides took him too his room; all oblivious to Virgil's role in the situation.
**************************************************************************************
Virgil stood in his room facing Rage.
"What's up, Anxiety?" Rage sneered. "Long time. No see."
Virgil noticed Rage's pale, papery skin. That fusion really took it out of him. "What was that all about?"
"Just a little fun. I was feeling ignored."
"So, you thought it would be a great idea to waste energy forcing a fusion and making us fight?"
"Gotta get my kicks somehow." Rage's legs shook slightly. He tried desperately to hide his exhaustion from Virgil; he didn't want to show any weakness.
"Take a seat you idiot."
"What?"
"I can see your legs shaking. I'm vigilant, remember." Rage opened his mouth to argue but Virgil cut him off. "We don't need to talk. Just sit until you can get yourself out of here." Virgil moved to his bed and threw himself down.
Rage sighed and moved to sit on nearby lounge; sinking deep into the familiar cushions. As much as he hated Anxiety; he was glad to be in an accepting and safe space.
***************************************************************************************
Patton and Roman deposited Logan on his bed and sat on a nearby sofa. Logan's room was very minimalistic and small. A bed, a desk and a sofa made up the entirety of the room; however, there was a door leading to a bathroom, another to a library and a final one to Logan's area of the imagination mindscape.
"Well that was a new level of low for a worthless, impulsive Dark Side." Roman commented.
"Now, Roman." Patton cooed, " Don't be so harsh on Rage. He didn't do too much harm. He probably just wanted to hang out with us. We haven't seen him around in a while."
"No harm? Oh, suuure. Logan always collapses in the hall after banging on Virgil's door like a maniac."
"Oh. well..."
"You can't always find the positives in people, Patton. The only purpose Rage's actions served was to take Logan out of the picture..." Roman suddenly looked at Patton with concern. "We need to check on Thomas."
Patton nodded and the two sunk out to check on Thomas, leaving Logan to sleep soundly in his room.
************************************************************************
Thomas sat on the lounge staring at his computer; the video had already gone public and the first reactions and comments were appearing. Thomas was feeling the effects of Virgil and massaging a circle in the palm of his hand to remain calm. He was happy to see Roman and Patton rise up in their usual spots.
"Hey guys." Thomas glance around, "Where is Logan?"
"Oh, he's just taking a little nap," Roman said with a smile.
"Ok. Well, what do you think of the latest video?" Thomas looked down at the floor, "I already know Virgil's thoughts."
Patton and Roman moved to sit with Thomas and started sharing their thoughts on the video. Thomas felt much better listening to their comments, even if they were a bit over the top.
********************************************************************************
Virgil sat up as he felt Patton and Roman rise up to interact with Thomas. Rage was dozing on the lounge; his breathing steady and calm. Virgil couldn't help but smile as he felt a wave of nostalgia roll over him. Familiar sight. Rage passed out after making Thomas argue with a friend or family member, and then I get to work over time to make up for it.
Virgil went into the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. His hair was a mess and his eye shadow had been smudged down his cheeks; truly a horrible sight. Grabbing a brush, Virgil quickly fixed his hair before washing off his old make up. Reapplication was a fast process and Virgil checked that Rage was still sleeping before teleporting to Thomas' lounge.
Thomas, Roman and Patton couldn't help but jump at the sudden appearance Virgil at the foot of the lounge.
"Sorry. I probably should have aimed for the stairs." Idiot. You scared them again.
"Probably should've stayed in your room," mumbled Roman, and Patton shot him a disapproving glance before looking back at Virgil.
"Good to see you, Kiddo. How are you feeling about the new video now?"
Virgil sighed and looked at his feet. "It was alright. Just..."
"We KNOW!" interrupted Roman. "It took too long to make, the sound was misaligned, the lesson wasn't ..."
"Roman!" Thomas was the one to interrupt this time, and Patton joined in giving Roman a disappointed head shake.
"What?" Roman feigned offence. "We know he doesn't have anything positive to contribute. He was upsetting you earlier, Thomas, and Patton, you heard his comments in the mindscape earlier"
"That will do, Princey. Virgil?" Thomas looked at the anxious side fondly. "You had something you wanted to say? You can be honest. I appreciate any and all feedback"
Virgil rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Um... I guess...I … Kind of liked the song. It was a good way to... Engage your audience. Even though I wouldn't normally sing."
Thomas beamed. "Thanks Virgil. I feel like the song really added to the conversation, and Joan did a great job writing it too."
"See Roman. Virgil liked your video." Patton nudged Roman with his elbow and smiled.
Roman sighed in defeat, "Thank you, Virgil. I... appreciate the feedback."
***********************************************************
The sides all hung out with Thomas as the comments started rolling in at a faster rate. Virgil curled up in the corner of the lounge and focused on keeping his breathing steady and listening to Roman, Patton and Thomas talk.
They had been with Thomas for half an hour before Logan made an appearance.
"Hey, Logan." Thomas smiled, "Did you have a good nap?"
Logan appeared confused and Roman nodded vigorously behind Thomas to encourage Logan to play along. "Oh. Oh yes. I did thank you. How is the video going?"
Patton moved to sit on the floor, so Logan could sit next to Thomas and comfortably join the conversation. Logan made sure Thomas (and Virgil) were focused on the facts, which helped Virgil; who was beginning to lose his grip on remaining calm.
A few hours later, Virgil felt his eyelids grow heavy and saw Thomas was beginning to fall asleep. "We should go." The others nodded sleepily and sunk out.
Thomas stirred and looked up at Virgil. "Are you alright, Virge?"
"I'll try and keep my worrying to a minimum." Virgil stood and tucked his hands deep into his pockets. "You should go to bed and sleep. Joan and Talyn are coming over tomorrow...don't want to look like me, hey"
Thomas smiled weakly and repositioned himself on the lounge. "Thanks Virgil. You really are a good guy."
Before Virgil could make another comment, Thomas closed his eyes and fell asleep. The lounge wasn't the best place to sleep, but Thomas needed sleep so that was enough to satisfy Virgil.
He teleported to his room.... something was off. Virgil scanned the room for any lingering shadows but saw nothing except Rage still sleeping on the lounge.
"You can't hide Deceit. I know you're in here."
