dear americans,
as a polish queer woman and human rights activist, i know exactly how you're feeling right now and what to expect from these elections. i lived through the 2015-2023 regime of pis, a right-wing populist party that divided families in the same way trump did. i’ve experienced the rise of fascism in poland, the influence of far-right parties like konfederacja, and their “santa’s little helpers”—ordo iuris, an ultra-conservative catholic organization (banned in many countries, mind you) that helped enforce a near-total abortion ban and runs anti-queer campaigns in public spaces. i supported the black protests in 2016 as a middle schooler when they first tried to ban abortion. as an adult, i actively participated in the 2020 women’s strike, running from police tear gas daily after they finally passed the ban. i supported friends who faced charges.
i’ve lived through intense homophobia in poland as a queer teen and adult. i survived the first pride march in my hometown, where far-right extremists threw stones and glass at us. i endured the anti-queer propaganda spread by the ruling party in state-owned media. i survived the “rainbow night,” poland’s own stonewall moment in summer 2020, when police arrested around 50 queer activists following the arrest of margo, a nonbinary activist. i survived the "lgbt-free zones," the targeted violence, the slurs from strangers on the street, and the protests i held against queerphobia. it was hard as fuck, but i survived.
but just because i survived, it doesn’t mean others did. many women died because of the abortion ban—marta, justyna, izabela, dorota, joanna, maria, and many others who didn’t survive pis’s draconian anti-abortion laws. milo, kacper, michał, zuzia (she was 12), wiktor, and other queer and trans kids and young adults took their own lives because of the relentless queerphobia.
despite all of this, our experience in poland can serve as a guide now. here are some tips for staying safe and how we, polish queers and women, organized under the regime:
safety first, always. if you know someone who’s had an abortion, no you don’t. if you know someone is trans, no you don’t. if you know people who help with safe abortions, no you don’t—at least not until you know it’s 100% safe to share. if you are queer or have had an abortion, only share this with people you trust fully. most importantly, not everyone has to be an activist just because they’re part of a minority. if it feels unsafe to share that you're queer, trans, etc., then don’t. it doesn’t make you any less queer.
use secure, encrypted messaging like signal for conversations on potentially risky topics, such as queerness, abortion, organizing counter-actions, protests—anything that might be used against you.
stay anonymous online. if you want to research or report something without surveillance, do not use regular internet. get a vpn (mullvad is affordable and reliable), download the tor browser (for both onion and standard links), and if you plan to whistleblow, consider using a riseup email account.
organize and build networks. community is everything now. support each other, foster independence, because your government won’t have your back. set up collectives, grassroots movements. create lists of trusted professionals—lawyers, doctors, etc.—who can offer support.
to lawyers and doctors: please consider pro-bono work. this is what got us through poland’s hardest times. your work will be needed now more than ever.
for protests or risky actions: always write a pro-bono lawyer’s number on your arm with a permanent marker.
get to know the anarchist black cross federation and other resources on safety culture: "Starting an anarchist black cross group: A guide"; Still We Rise - A resource pack for transgender and non-gender conforming people in prison; Safe OUTside the system by the Audre Lorde Project;
for safe abortion info or involvement: get familiar with womenhelpwomen.
stay radical, stay strong, stay informed: The Anarchist Library
if i forgot to (or didn't) include something, don't hesitate to reblog this post with other resources.

remember when trans activists beat up Fred Sergeant, a gay man in his 70s, stonewall riot veteran and organizer of the first pride protest, because he was holding a gender critical sign at pride? And now trans activists are disturbing gay rights conferences by throwing thousands of live insects at us? like we can't even gather to discuss our rights anymore, we can't even attend the marches we ourselves set up, lest some radicalized teenagers and porn-obsessed balding men in their 50s identifying as lesbians beat us up scream slurs at us threaten to kill us rape us and take our jobs away from us and throw thousands of insects at us? and then they have the audacity to claim we are hateful bigots and our organizations are hate groups just because we were naturally born exclusively attracted to the same sex and not to the opposite one? and then thousands of people on this very website clap and send money to those people to reward them for disturbing gay rights events, call them strong and brave and once again if we dare to criticize them we are once again harassed and insulted? and they do all of this while making jokes about biblical plagues and biblical punishment? this is absolutely insane like LMAOOOO do you realize how absolutely fucking insane this all is??????? I am going crazy

URGENT: Congress about to pass a mass censorship and surveillance bill under the guise of "protecting children"
May 13 2023
The Senate has been in a "do something!" mode regarding children's online safety. They're using this as an excuse to push for widespread internet censorship and surveillance. The EARN IT Act, has a slimmer chance of passing with widespread opposition and some senators saying they won't vote for it. TLDR;The real threat is actually KOSA (s.1409), the Kid's Online Safety Act, which will mass censor and surveill the entire internet by giving all 50 state attorney generals the power to remove content that is "harmful" for kids, and force you to upload your govt ID online to access the internet. I'll explain how it works below the action items but it's absolutely urgent that anyone who likes having a free and open internet fights back. It's all hands on deck, because this has so much public support it's insane:
HOW TO FIGHT KOSA
CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES & THE COMMERCE COMMITTEE
This is a link to the Senate Commerce Committee phone numbers and a call script to read off of. (202) 224-3121 connects you to the congressional hotline
Opposition is getting drowned, and these upcoming weeks will be heavy for lobbying and they're using young people to do it. We NEED to show these senators that young people are actually opposed to this and don't want it.
2. Sign these petitions
Open Letter Against KOSA
Petition 1
Petition 2
Petition 3
Petition 4
Resistbot: Text PHJDYH to 50409
3. Spread the word.
The opposition is getting absolutely drowned online. Dove has nearly 100k signatures to push for KOSA. Influencers on tiktok are pushing for this without ever having read the bill. Fucking Lizzo is sponsoring it. If you have twitter, reddit, tiktok, are in any community, SPREAD THE WORD, PLEASE.
Here is a linktree with all the above petitions for easy shargin: Link to linktree
HOW KOSA WORKS
First, KOSA pressures platforms to install filters that would wipe the net of anything deemed “inappropriate” for minors. This means instructing platforms to censor. We saw how these filters impacted websites firsthand with tumblr in 2018, with not only blocking all adult content but also sfw queer content such as suicide hotlines, art archives, wiping out entire blogs because they had queer fandom related posts, etc. Places that already use content filters have restricted important information about suicide prevention and LGBTQ+ support groups. KOSA would spread this kind of censorship to every corner of the internet. And who gets to decide what is and isn't harmful for minors? Oh don't worry, just every single state attorney general and the FTC, which is appointed by the president. You know, the same attorney generals that just banned gender-affirming healthcare under the guise that it "ruins mental health" of minors. This is why the Heritage Foundation was one of the first to sponsor the bill because they can use it to censor trans content, and Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee is it's co-author.
Second, KOSA would ramp up the online surveillance of all internet users by forcing websites to use age verification and parental monitoring tools. Yup, that's right. Now every single person who wants to access the internet has to upload their govt ID online to third party apps that get hacked all the time. You queer in a red state? You undocumented? You an activist? Have fun getting all your online activity and metadata attached to your govt ID.
Over 90+ human and LGBT rights groups agree that KOSA is dangerous and updates to the 2023 version won’t and can’t address the big problems with the bill. This bill has MASSIVE bipartisan support, and the authors Blumenthal and Blackburn (yes, that Blumenthal that's pushing the EARN IT Act, and who also sponsored the RESTRICT Act and SOPA/PIPA if you remember) are using the tragedy of mothers who lost their kids to online harassment and young adults who've been traumatized online to lobby for it, and got Dove the company to use a bunch of influencers to push for this under the guise it prevents eating disorders...I wish I was lying. There are already 30 co-sponsors.
It is all hands on deck. I'm dead serious when I say if this bill is passed it is the beginning if not end of the open and free internet.

Okay I said I wouldn’t but I’m making a post about it
Tumblr media
Rant under the cut
Why is everyone so upset that these exist? Contrary to popular belief, MENS CLOTHING DOESNT FIT EVERY TRANSMASC. Transmasc people sometimes have larger thighs and hips! The only pair of men’s jeans I own I need to wear with a belt, because they fit at the hip but not at the waist, because they are styled for cis men’s bodies.
The worst part about this is seeing all the other trans people making fun of these, even transfems saying things like “why don’t they make transfem blouses tho” THEY SHOULD. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t make clothes for transmascs!!!!
Everyone wants to say transmisandry or transandrophobia doesn’t exist, or that it’s just another way to say transmisogyny, then you treat transmascs like shit for… wanting jeans that fit??? Everyday on every accursed social media site people say things like “ew why would you wanna be a guy at all lol” or “trans guys should know their place worshiping the dolls.”
Everyone forgets that most transmascs have lived as women. Some of us still have to. Some of us face misogyny and transmisandry every day of our lives. And it fucking sucks. All I’m asking is that other members of the community that transmascs believe we’re safe in show some basic fucking respect. This isn’t transmisogyny. This isn’t being a “mens rights activist.” This is wanting people around you who should understand your experiences better than anyone to treat you like someone worthy of respect.
(Original tweet is sarcastic btw)

im sorry this might not be the place to ask for advice/help but im doomscrolling about the news and the soon to be president and im seeing so much to be scared shitless about, invasions, removal of vaccines, cost of living increases, revoking of trans rights and how it might make it all the more impossible to get the surgeries i wanted... its just too fucking scary to breathe right now what do i do with myself
Hey, Anon. I'm here. A lot of us are here right with you.
It's scary, to be sure. And I'm not going to sugarcoat the possibilities of things going south very quickly. So, let's jump into some survival tactics.
This post on burnout is a great place to start. There is a lot of overlap with burnout and the anxiety you're feeling.
Allow yourself to slow down and unplug. You are allowed to step away from the news cycle -- events out of your control will unfold regardless.
Don't feel guilty by letting yourself relax. I find it especially helpful to do activities that don't involve the internet -- I've been decorating my house, mending broken crockery, and sketching some embroidery ideas. I try to take the time to get dressed and groomed every day, to remind myself that I matter. I spend more time outdoors.
As you find the ability to relax, you'll be able to focus better on the things you can do to be resilient. Things I have been doing to improve myself and make me a better helper:
Staying on top of my medical appointments and any preventive care I can do
Working to be physically healthier overall to mitigate future medical issues
Getting all my paperwork in order, including passports
Tweaking my financial budget
Researching what estate & family documentation needs to be done to protect my relationship in case my marriage gets dissolved
Brushing up on job skills, getting new certifications to stay competitively employable
Stocking up on my medical and general emergency supplies, especially for bad weather events
Getting in the habit of mindful purchases, curbing my habit of impulse shopping
Selling things I don't want or need anymore to have a little extra money and be able to move house easier, if need be
Building a habit of fixing/maintaining my possessions instead of trashing broken things
Canceling online subscriptions and quitting social networks that make me feel in danger
Getting my personal and any queer-related files out of the cloud and onto redundant solid state drives
Downloading / printing out queer resources and buying queer art that may be banned or monitored in the future
Enjoying physical media again and hunting for old favorites
Keeping in touch with queer friends and allies and making plans in case people (even myself) need to flee
Being visible when I can and knowing when it's best to lay low
Allowing myself the luxury to dig into things Old Me would have saved for "special" events -- aka, wearing the nice clothes and eating off the fine china as an everyday thing
Shutting the fuck up, especially online, when I think my words could be used against me
In a way, I am trying to simply become a better version of myself, one who is calm & self-sufficient, mindful about his actions, and available to help those in need. It sucks that the driving factor is fear, but I intend to use that fear as a catalyst to be stronger and survive.
There is a lot to be done, but there was always going to be work, new regime or not. But please, start with that burnout article so you can jump into your own plans with new hope and energy. ❤️

In the almost month since the election I’ve gone through so many emotions. I’ve felt hopelessly crushed, furious, overwhelmed, and just plain exhausted. I hate that this has happened, and that the orange shitstain is gonna put the most awful people in power. I’m not gonna lay down and die, but I’m just so tired of this. That man has slowly drained the hope out of this nation for the last ten years and I’m sick of it. I know this didn’t start with him, but he certainly emboldened blatant authoritarianism. I know every generation feels at some point the world is ending, but at this point it feels so difficult to try to have hope for the future. I believe we as a country can be better than this, but I’m not sure at the moment how we can get there.
I know the feeling, the tired part any ways.
in 2016 I was in the Hillary campaign and like we talked about HOW! bad Donald Trump could be, Hillary had a tweet "we can't trust a man who can be baited with a tweet with the nuclear codes" and for us inside the campaign we took all that very seriously for us it was not talk we meant it, we believed he was really dangerous, deeply corrupt possibly criminal already, and totally unqualified and unfit. And we said so, and no one took us seriously, I always remember a nice middle aged couple stopped at our office to get some signs they weren't from the state and were just passing through. But Democrats, supporters and I was trying to push them to maybe volunteer (as was my job) and I talked about how a Republican President (Ie Trump) could appoint up to 4 Supreme Court justices and they would surely do away with Roe V Wade. And They literally rolled their eyes at me and said "I know thats a good line but do you really believe that'd happen? they'd do away with Roe?" yes, yes we did.
So any ways I believed Trump 1.0 would be every bit as bad as it turned out to be, it was even on January 6th a little worse. So I went through the emotional roller coaster in 2016
2024 has been just sad, and tired.
But I do feel something growing in the guts of my soul, rage, pure burning rage. Someone once said that the thing that fuels every good activist is rage at the world for being imperfect. I don't know if thats right or true.
But it's whats getting me up in the morning, we offered hope, and kindness and a better world and they threw it back, well fuck 'em. This is my patch of dirt on god's good earth goddamn it and they can't fucking have it without a fight, I'm a miserable cockroach motherfucker, I will out fight them, out last them, and win and stand on the ashes of their fucking fascist dreams.
more to the point, I did feel like giving up, and saying "well they picked this, eyes wide open, now we all suffer, w/e" but I don't get to give up, Bill Clinton said "there are no permeant victories or defeats in politics" and he's right, this is the call and the cause, to struggle unendingly for the better world and if you're very lucky you live to see it turn a little and a new battle for the better of man kind than the one you spent your life on be engaged. For me personally, my nephew is trans, he's 17 looking at colleges, picking states that are safe for him. I don't have the power to protect him, I did EVERYthing in my power to stop this, because of him, and for him, I'll be out there again and again and again. I wish deals with the devil were real because I'd just go to hell so he could be safe and happy, but sadly only hard work and uncertain outcomes are real.
I have no easy answers, no clean hope of a better world or a better America about to be born from the bitter ashes of this election. Harvey Milk said "I know you cannot live on Hope alone, but without it life is not worth living" And the last 10 years, the forces of darkness have across all of society, wearing many different faces tried to take hope out of our souls, and its brought us here. My favorite speech is by Ann Richards and I quote the end a lot, but here I'll quote something she said way way back in 1988
This Republican Administration treats us as if we were pieces of a puzzle that can’t fit together. They've tried to put us into compartments and separate us from each other. Their political theory is “divide and conquer.” They’ve suggested time and time again that what is of interest to one group of Americans is not of interest to any one else. We’ve been isolated. We’ve been lumped into that sad phraseology called “special interests.” ------ No wonder we feel isolated and confused. We want answers and their answer is that "something is wrong with you."  Well nothing's wrong with you. Nothing’s wrong with you that you can’t fix in November! We've been told -- We've been told that the interests of the South and the Southwest are not the same interests as the North and the Northeast. They pit one group against the other. They've divided this country and in our isolation we think government isn’t gonna help us, and we're alone in our feelings. We feel forgotten. Well, the fact is that we are not an isolated piece of their puzzle. We are one nation. We are the United States of America.
in the 2020s we're doing it to ourselves but its helping the cynical just as much. Each of us trapped on our phones in our own personal self made hell, well not self made, there are algorithms feeling you stories designed to make you feel like shit, because when you feel like shit you stay on-line, and keep doom scrolling. We're divided and our culture, the way we speak to each other it only makes us more divided, we're rubbery and inauthentic.
So I guess, you want hope, get out there and find something you believe in and fight for it, there's a local candidate near you I'm sure you can believe in, a ballot measure, a local group, something, and break the isolation we have to talk again because if we don't, well its already eaten us alive and we're trying to get out of the whale.

Don’t believe me?
I challenge you to watch this short video.
**I couldn’t watch it all the way through. It breaks my heart and repulses me that the “abortion is healthcare” motto is used in society.
Abortions have happened for centuries. It’s not like they’re a new thing. However, thanks to Margaret Sanger (Nazi) and her work in eugenics to sterilize the human race through the targeting of black communities AND Hillary Clinton championing and mainstreaming her work, the present abortion culture and satanic sacrificial system is accepted as a form of healthcare when it’s far from it.
Baby pictured at 14-22 weeks. Looks like a tiny human.
Tumblr media
Link: https://www.abortionprocedures.com/
Can you stomach the video?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, out of 1200 abortions, none of the pregnancies endangered the mom’s life - though the abortion endangers the mom’s life and future ability to have kids. Hmm.
Tumblr media
Mom’s host babies. Give the baby any name you want, it’s still a baby inside the mom.
And while we’re here. Implanting a baby inside a man’s rectum “so he can give birth” is evil, is sick, and doesn’t make him a mom.
Tumblr media
Stop affirming mental illness and let women shine as women. Men and women are different AND that’s a great thing. We complement each other. Men provide and lead; women nurture and raise kids. They are the roles we are designed for. Masculinity isn’t toxic; the absence of men is toxic.
Tumblr media
Or there’s the damning study that found the direct correlation between a mom’s mental illness and the kid’s desire to be trans.
Of course, some people are just crazy. Look. Clinton pitched this same sad story when Roe was returned to the states where it belongs. If your state doesn’t allow abortions, you’re able to find a state that does and have the abortion there. Much like getting a tattoo from any studio you want, you can cut that kid up wherever you like. Do I agree with it? Fuck no. Can you do it? Yeah. Is it wise? No. But that’s the ruthlessness of personal choices.
Tumblr media
Maybe this mom sounds like someone you know…an activist mom fighting for “the right to kill a baby” that you - didn’t - have - wait a minute…that sure sounds like that proud mom is subtly saying she couldn’t kill her kid…mental illness comes in all forms.
Tumblr media
It’s certainly not like Hillary is the only one to blame, but she’s definitely near the top of the pyramid. If she hadn’t championed Sanger and abortions and helped Planned Parenthood get taxpayer money, we wouldn’t be facing the same battle or same level of sin.
Make no mistake. This is a spiritual battle with an ugly dark web of deceit surrounding abortion and what it actually means to all involved for that abortion to happen.
If you want to fund this stuff, set up a GoFundMe. As for our tax dollars, our tax money belongs nowhere near this evil system.
Joe Biden was pro abortion until after the day the kid was born. Kamala was pro-after birth abortions. Your kid was just born; Kamala was ok killing that kid and calling it an abortion.
Is Trump a solid no abortion guy? No. On that topic we differ. However, he like me says it’s a state’s rights issue and not a federal issue. SCOTUS agreed with that.

You guys CANNOT seriously keep making this argument. "What if the jokes were about people of color or lesbians" THEY ARE! THEY ARE! You can't throw a stone in any direction and not hit someone joking about gay and trans people, calling us groomers!
Stop moving the fucking goalpost for these people, stop doing the legwork of advocating for the most protected class of people who EVERYDAY treat us like shit in OUR REAL, MATERIAL LIVES. WHY ARE YOU GOING TO BAT FOR CISHET MEN? WHY DO YOU THINK WOMEN WHO HOLD DISDAIN FOR MEN DESERVE TO BE SHAMED FOR WHAT MEN DID TO THEM AND HOW THEY MADE HER FEEL? WHY DO YOU USE THE MOST BAD FAITH, FAR OUT EXAMPLES TO TRY AND ARGUE AGAINST WOMEN?
The argument that "well if you changed the circumstances, it would be different and you wouldn't like it" is HIGH KEY akin to the reverse sexism/racism fallacy and comes straight from the mind of an arrogant high school sophomore who thinks they got the whole "social justice" racket worked out and is very pleased to leave smug comments in their wake about it.
You cannot make this argument and hold genuine feminist beliefs, imo. It's ASININE.
Men are human beings who, in my life, have been very important companions and friends. I would also always hold room for conversations about the fact that the category of men as a whole includes men of color, who have historically been oppressed and categorized out of their fair claim to manhood. It includes gay men, who are my brothers and sisters, it includes trans men, who have been some of my closest friends, it includes men who are denied housing and other human rights, workers, artists, activists. But I would never hold that room to DENY other women the right to hold ANGER for the very LARGE CONTINGENCY OF MEN WHO USE THEIR GENDER TO ABUSE US. As human beings, men hold and exercise an immense capacity for doing harmful, evil shit, and they have, they are, and they will.
Women are oppressed by men and a patriarchal society, and you guys have GOT to stop devil's advocating away all the room that notion needs to hold. It's complex, but things like highly pervasive sexual violence CANNOT BE WAVED AWAY. we're not having a debate in the cafeteria of your high school anymore. Have some fucking perspective.

trans activists on this platform have like the same ten talking points
we (whoever we is, certainly not us centric) have gay rights because a transwoman threw the first brick at stonewall (not even true)
that analogy about how transphobes see a tree and a chair made of wood and say its the same when its clearly not which means trans real and valid
some animals can change sex which somehow means humans can too
woke non-western cultures with nonbinary and trans gender identities (which usually turn out to be just a result of homophobia and/or misogyny)
transwomen are women, transmen are men (why cant they be acknowledged as their own thing? nobody knows)
„terfs“ are truly misogynistic because they reduce women to our genitals/ability to birth children or because they point out differences between the sexes or want women only leagues or whatever the fuck
„terfs“ are fascist because they uphold nazi gender ideology because nazis burned books by a jewish gay man
something about bodily autonomy that is not actually about bodily autonomy because its someone else doing something to you (prostitution, surgeries, etc)
nothing anybody does is anybodys business because apparently despite popular belief we do NOT live in a society

Alastor Reacting To Stereotypical Activist Gen Zer (No NSFW really ig)
Me and @rainyvandragon were discussing this last night and we thought it was the funniest thing ever, so I wanted to write a short fic for you guys. Enjoy.
This might be offensive to some audiences but I tried to portray a stereotypical feminist Gen Zer in the eyes of somebody closed minded (somebody like Alastor kinda) so LOL.
Tumblr media
The new generation, Gen Z, (1997-2012), started making their appearances in Hell. Alastor, being a gentleman from the 1930s, wasn't used to being around the influx of activists, feminists, vegans, etc. It wasn't until one showed up at the hotel seeking redemption that he truly met his match.
"WHATS UP GIRLY POPS?!!" The Gen Zer kicked open the doors, strutting into the lobby. They turned to Charlie, "Omg, you look SO slay!!"
Alastor looked at them in disgust. What the fuck were they even saying?
The Gen Zer turned to Alastor and gasped in delight, "Omg! Look at youUU-UH."
They walked over to Alastor and sat on the chair next to him.
"What are your pronouns?"
Alastor looked dumbfounded. "My... My what?"
"Pronouns silly! Are you a girl, boy, trans, non-binary, gender-fluid-"
They went on for a couple minutes before Alastor interrupted.
"I'm a boy, my Dear."
"Are you a CIS male?"
Alastor literally was getting so fucking annoyed because he literally has no fucking idea what this mf was talking about.
"...Yes."
"Great! So He/Him. What's your sexuality?"
Alastor didn't know what the fuck that meant.
"...I don't like having sex."
"Omg so you're ASEXUAL? QUEEN!!! LOVE THAT FOR YEWWW-UH!!"
Alastor wanted to die (again).
The Gen Zer got back up and started talking to Charlie. Charlie also looked a little offput but she was a LOT more accepting.
"So... how did you die?"
"Oh, my, GAWD, I literally was at a protest and some stupid fucking cops decided to pump me full of lead! Whatever, at least I went down for fighting in what I believe in."
Angel Dust perked up, "And what do you believe in?"
"WOMENS RIGHTS AND UNRESTRICTED RIGHTS TO ABORTION-UH!"
Alastor was banging his head against the table in the lobby.
"Oh and I also got arrested a few times for vandalizing government property but hey! Worth it!"
Angel Dust was CRACKING up at Alastor's reaction and Charlie was trying to listen attentively.
"We definitely need to completely remove gender roles from our modern society. Oh, I also really miss my husband... I proposed to him recently and he's SUCH a good stay at home dad!"
"WILL YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY!"
Alastor yelled, his voiced filled with radio static.
Angel Dust was on the floor, hollering with laughter.
"Oh my gosh sorry, I should've asked for your beliefs before I started spouting off about them! You know...my mum was kind off...a total fuckin cunt, which is why I cut of all contact with her. She was a Republican, smh."
Alastor threw a table at them.
"OH MY GAWD STOP IT!!!!"
Im sorry guys I'm fucking laughing so hard this is the best head canon ever.

1.) for the love of science, please, please stop using the theory of gendered socialization as some “gotcha” against all female people. stop trying to constitute that just because a person who happens to be female is only empathic because they’re female. stop making us all look bad, stop proving the dumbasses who say we’re trying to claim all women have some universal spiritual bond that connects them & that we’re using the theory to constitute & declare all women as inherently this and all men as inherently that, right. stop misunderstanding the theory. yes, socialization has impacts on how someone turns out as a person. yes, socialization does influence personality, and yes, the reason why women are more likely to be empathic is because of socialization, not because of some inherent biological magic; however, this doesn’t mean that having basic human decency & choosing not to be a piece of shit is somehow alien to male people. this doesn’t mean that women should throw away all their learned personality traits & tendencies. just because empathy is more forced & pushed onto women, doesn’t mean women need to get rid of that. instead, women should work on unlearning passiveness & unhealthy self-consciousness– female people should unlearn the process of female socialization that taught them to think low of themselves, that taught them to constantly feel like a burden, that taught them not to have any boundaries & to stay quiet and meek– empathy & human decency are not something to be thrown away. those are valuable & natural human traits.
2.) the trans movement is not inherently anti-feminist. the commodification, commercialization, and pinkwashing of it is. if we look very closely, trans people a lot of the time agree with the core elements of radical feminism; they just phrase their beliefs differently. there are gaps within ideologies, and both sides can be obtuse as fuck. both sides can be annoying & unwilling to learn. both sides can do legitimate harm in the real world. both sides need to learn from each other & stop vilifying & caricaturing the other as some pesty inherent danger that should be hidden from the rest of the world. gender critical women and trans rights activists need not always be “at odds”. we can, and we will, bridge the gap; no matter how many times annoying people like you fly around our ears like & whine. buzz all you want. there are people out there working on bridging the gap & are efficiently doing so. if you want to lock yourself up in an echo-chamber while also insisting trans people are doing that very same thing, then well done. have your hypocrisy cake and eat it 🤷🏻. me personally, i’ll keep having meaningful discussions with people who don’t necessarily share the same worldview as i do. nevertheless, radical feminism does wonders for trans people, and there are so many radical feminists out there insistent on proving that. if you’re going to sit back and whine about “men in dresses”, “those disgusting tranzes invading women’s spaces” and “moid xys fetishizing women”, while not doing anything whatsoever to improve the conditions of your local women– then don’t bother calling yourself a feminist of any sorts, yet alone a radical feminist. gncphobia does not look good on a person claiming to be pro-feminist. seriously.
3.) “no one is arguing that we should make trans-identified people’s lives worse” this is just, like, blatantly untrue. bans & limits on self-expression, bodily automony & self-determination, do in fact, harm trans people, a deeply vulnerable & targeted group in many societies. the same societies that tend to be extremely intolerant of trans people are also extremely intolerant of women. this is not a coincidence. it’s not a coincidence that the worst misogynists are also very often transphobic. it’s not a coincidence that conservatives, the people working to tangibly oppress trans people, are also anti-abortion, anti-divorce, pro-nuclear family, and anti-lgb. it’s almost like, hey– trans people are oppressed on the gender axis! and if you’re going to say that you said this in regards to radfems; you’d also be wrong. i will agree that tras often unrealistically portray radfems as fashies capable of systemically oppressing trans people, and that they very often create conspiracy theories on how “terfs are running the world” & “terfs control the governments”, exaggerating the “power” radfems may have– but this does not mean that there are no transphobic radfems. i’ve seen many deny dysphoria being a thing, many are unnecessarily & inhumanely cruel to dysphoric people & constantly try to purposely trigger someone’s dysphoria, many are exceptionally cruel to trans men (which is funny because they like to claim we are their “lost sisters” or whatever), many straight up mock surgeries & call people “mutilated” which extends to the hatred & bigotry against detrans folk. you cannot complain how trans people refuse to excommunicate genuinely awful people in their community if you yourself are going to ignore the genuinely awful people in your own community. you just cannot.
4.) “we are pro gender abolition and they are pro gender”– i mean, making a wild claim like this just proves you’ve locked yourself up in an echo-chamber. you sound exactly💯 how those tras who portray radfems as The Incarnation of Devil Himself sound like. you believe you know everything about a group & the group’s beliefs without conversating with anyone from said group. that’s exactly how many tras behave, making up wild claims & false caricatures of radfem beliefs, exaggerating them up to the point of nonsense. like, i’m sorry– but i’ll call bullshit on the “they are pro gender” stuff. i just cannot bring myself to believe that a group uniquely oppressed by gender is capable of meaningfully supporting the existence of it. sure, there are trans people who will vocally say they are against the abolition of gender because they personally feel it helps them because want to assimilate/it helps them express & understand themselves or whatever– but this doesn’t erase the reality of gender inherently repressing & oppressing trans individuals. certain, individual trans people can do & say wacky shit, they can hold horrible and stupid beliefs– but this does not reflect the universal reality of trans existence. trans people deviate from the gender binary. trans people do not fit into the system of gender, and as such, they can only benefit from the abolition of gender. gender hurts us in a very specific way, and we are going against the very existence of it, just by existing. this isn’t to say some trans people aren’t genuinely dumb & misogynistic/bio-essentialist/neurosexist/assimilationist/homophobic/awful/whatever– i’m simply saying that we as a group do not fit into the gender system– obviously, we still have to prove that we truly are against it, but we defy traditionalist way of thought merely by existing. of course, we still have to do actual work to be considered activists, and we aren’t immediately some punk blood-pumping political figures simply on the basis of not fitting in.
5.) any person who sends rape & death threats to anyone is despicable. the phenomenon of this specifically happening to radfems is real, but we cannot base our moral beliefs & opinions on an entire group off of this. oftentimes, it’s not even actual trans people sending the threats, it’s cis people [particularly cis men to be clear] who want to speak over us. calling out homophobia & misogyny in the trans community is a worthy endeavor & definitely, desperately needs to be done. being hateful and assuming all trans people are this disgusting caricature in your head, is not. again, we will bridge the gap, and there’s nothing you can do about it. activists of all kinds will come together & reshape the world from the roots of it. they will pull out all the toxicity & take down all the oppressive structures & institutions, stomp on them violently & mercilessly– they will rebuild the world from its’ roots, all over again.

Sorry for the random ask but you're one of the few people i see talking about this occasionally
It's honestly DISTRESSING how many usually smart and thoughtful blogs on this site have jumped on the ''It's okay to be shitty to transmascs'' bandwagon
People I've seen be mindful of community exclusionism in the past suddenly and almost GLEEFULLY pouncing on the chance to to rag on those awful cringey 'men's rights activists' (read: marginalized men discussing their marginalization)
They go on and on and on about how these 'transandrodorks' endlessly speak over women and are out to be the Biggest Victim Ever (and I'm sure it DOES happen here and there, there are shitty people in every group)
But the vast VAST majority of these people I've seen are just...transmascs venting on THEIR OWN BLOGS about how hurt and scared they are, how frustrated they are at being told how to define their own trauma and experiences, and then being harassed and dogpiled for speaking about it.
Some have been deleted, have had to move blogs, or have left Tumblr, and others are still being harassed!
I swear just a few months ago we were all rly upset at the harassment of trans people on Tumblr, but ig it's cool now?
Idk
Sorry for the long ask, it's just scary out here rn and we're tired.
Even if you don't answer this, Thank you for standing up for us. It's more appreciated than you know.
🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵
no its really fucked up and scary.
Just know that there's a whole lot of goodness out there, and that the loud bitter mean girls on tumblr are the minority. You're loved, nonny <3

I know I’ll get people disagreeing with me for this, but I just came to a realization. I strongly believe that we (Democrats) lost the election because of trans/gender stuff.
Think about it. Gender ideology was always a thing and trans people have been around for a while, but we can’t act like the whole thing didn’t explode in popularity around 2020. Covid lockdowns might’ve had something to do with it, but all of a sudden the amount of non-binary people increased like 10x, neopronouns were everywhere, and it seemed like everyone was now expected to put their pronouns in their bio. Before, there were a few out trans people who just wanted to live their lives. But around 2019/2020, it’s like the crazy people took over. I barely even knew what an enby was before then, and now suddenly almost every tumblr profile I clicked on said they/them.
And trans activists did an amazing job of making all liberals look crazy🙄Thanks to them, all of us are seen as insane gender cult followers who want minors to transition.
They called anyone against gender ideology right-wing. They called anyone against transition for minors right-wing. They called anyone against neopronouns right-wing. They called JK Rowling a Nazi. They called terfs fascists.
I think many swing voters looked at those labels and voted red because of it, thinking “wow if being against that is right-wing, then I’ll wear that label.” TRAs really did convince people that being against gender ideology was a right-wing position. And I think, even if some of those voters didn’t like Trump, they voted red because they didn’t want to vote on the side of the TRAs.
And we had a lot of people who didn’t vote at all. I think there were some liberals who didn’t vote because they thought Trump was an ingrate but also because they didn’t support the Dems’ views on trans stuff. I was this way at first but I did ultimately vote for Harris because I knew Trump would fuck everything up. But I know radfems who didn’t vote because of this.
A few months ago I would’ve claimed we lost because of non-voters, but now I think we lost because of trans activists. And I’m pretty pissed about that.
What do you gyns think? Did trans ideology end up hurting the Dems this election cycle?

Liberal fauxminists and trans activists: "Fuck boomers."/"Middle aged and older women who complain are Karens."
Liberal fauxminists and trans activists: *places no focus on age or human experiences with age in human rights*
Liberal fauxminists and trans activists: *barely hears older people when they speak, dismisses them as out of touch*
Liberal fauxminists and trans activists: Condescendingly "educates" or scolds older people on pronouns. Makes demands on other people perceiving them a certain way.
Liberal fauxminists and trans activists: "DECOLONIZATION"
Native people: Elders always called to eat first during dinners, elders generally first priority in community planning and health projects, elders emphasized as not being cast aside in tribal values, when an elder talks to you work can wait, when an elder talks to you at work it is comsidered paid time not wasted time, reserved parking for elders in front of on-reservation stores, when an elder (usually anyone 55+) passes away some tribes entirely shut down in remembrance and for the funeral, being humble a core tenant in most Native values, etc.
