2e Partie Historique Micro Âge d'or & Début des Consoles

Suite à l'article précédent, je continue la 2e partie de ma découverte de cet univers vidéo ludique.

Micro Age d'or et fin.... En parallèle de mon usage moitié CPC et moitié ST, je voyais dans les magasins les NES & MasterSystem apparaitrent. Je voyais que les jeux étaient différent de ceux de la micro mais aussi attractif voir plus selon certain.

Evidemment, comme de nombreux enfants, je me suis retrouvé au rayon TV d'un hypermarché face à une NES en accès jouable sur Mario Bros. Quelle fut ma surprise en découvrant ce gameplay tellement fun à jouer ainsi qu'à Duck Hunt et son pistolet.

De même, une émission avant Disney Channel le samedi soir sur FR3 montrait les astuces sur Legend of Zelda. Il avait l'air tellement plus intéressant et plus profond que mes jeux joués sur CPC... surtout dans ces donjons.

De l'autre côté, les pubs de Maître Sega nous fascinait avec ses lunettes pour voir en 3D, mais bon soyons honêtes, c'était justement plus le côté accessoire de la MasterSystem qui nous plaisait que ces jeux comparé à BigN.

Mais je continuais de jouer à mes jeux micros, conscient d'être très chanceux d'en possédait un car ce n'était pas le cas de tout le monde.

C'était avec les jeux suivants exclusivement CPC que je jouais vivant la majeure partie chez ma mère. M'ENFIN reprenant le principe du Cluedo dans l'univers de Gaston Lagaffe avec des parties aléatoire.

Night Hunter, jouant dans la peau d'un vampire commuté en forme vampire et loup-garou aussi.

Renegade et Target Renegade, beat'em all classique dont le dernier joué de nombreuses fin de journées avec le voisin du même âge.

Mission par son ambiance solitaire

Manoir de Mortevieille par son enquête tellement difficile mais son ambiance glauque Alphakor par sa narration

Deflektor par sa réflexion

D'autres titres aussi mais je préfère les évoquer sur ST (Amiga aussi) car ils étaient de largement meilleurs qualités. Par la suite, on sentait venir la baisse de jeux sortir sur Amstrad sauf de très mauvaises conversions pour vendre tel que Golden Axe.

Mais je découvrais aussi de nouveaux titres tellement riches sur ST par contre avec Lemmings Impossible Mission 2 Maupiti Island Liquid Kids Metal Masters Xenon 2 Magic Pockets Blues Brothers Hudson Hawk Voyageurs du Temps Targhan Technocop Parasols Star Ivanhoé Speedball 2 Etc.... C'est à mon goût l'un des 3 âges d'or du jeu vidéo en parallèle de l'arcades & jeux consoles 16 bits.

Avantage de la micro est de pouvoir faire autre chose que des jeux ce qui m'a permit de découvrir et creer de la musique, et faire du graphisme.

Cela me fait penser à une anecdote, où nous avions trouvé le moyen par le logiciel DEGAS Elite de modifier graphiquement les personnages de Street Fighter & Strider. Je vous laisse imaginer tout ce qui a été fait de façon parodique.

Ensuite l'usage micro hors jeux était le plus souvent pour copier les jeux ou apporter des modifications hexadécimales toujours dans ces œuvres.

Je me tenais au courant par le biais de magazines tel que Amstrad Cent pour Cent. D'ailleurs, c'est un paradoxe que les les magazines CPC étaient tellement plus sympa (sans oublier Amstar aussi!) à lire que ceux de la micro 16 bits. Mais Joystick & TILT plus généraliste me permettaient de voir ce qu'il sortait sur les autres supports.

C'est par ces revues que je voyais l'arrivée de consoles portables tel que la Game Boy incluant des titres de la qualité équivalent à la NES. Mon anniversaire approchant, ma famille se groupa afin de m'offir pour mes 11 ans ce cadeau accompagné du célébrissime Tetris et Mario Land.

Effectivement la qualité des jeux étaient là mais différente, je ne touchais même plus aux Micros..pendant un temps...

Mais les jeux étaient payant chose qui n'était pas habitué chez moi lol ce qui me renouvelait peu la ludothèque contrairement aux jeux micros passés de main en main.

Je trouve d'ailleurs que cela permet d'approfondir plus ces oeuvres.

Ci-dessous un accessoire acquis par la suite me permettant de jouer la nuit surtout en voiture.

Consoles portables ...Âge d'Or

Je partis après un redoublement en 6e dans un collège différent où il était autorisé d'apporter sa console portable ...????? Mes parents n'ont jamais acceptés cette possibilité ce que je comprends totalement avec le recul.

Mais il n'était pas rare de voir dans la cour des copains jouer à la Game Boy. Mais un jour en sortant de la cantine, qu'elle ne fut pas ma surprise en voyant un garçon jouait à la Game Gear à Castle of Illusion !!

J'étais subjugué par la couleur, la taille de la console, de l'écran et j'étais tombé sur ce qui reste certainement l'un des meilleur jeu de la machine.

Je n'avais plus qu'une idée en tête c'était de vendre ma Game Boy et l'ensemble de mes jeux pour acheter la GameGear ...et un jeu...!

Au passage plus tard, j'étais tombé sur éleve amenant sa PC-Engine GT Turbo encore plus éblouilli par sa technologie mais c'est une autre histoire. Vu le prix de la machine, choqué des parents laissant leur petit l'amené à l'école.... mais bon ce n'est pas si différent lorsqu'on voit des enfants encore plus jeune jouer à des smartphones à 500€....

De plus, mes jeux Game Boy acquis n'étaient pas non plus l'apothéose avec Dr Mario, Burai Fighter de Deluxe, je m'ennuyais plus qu'autre chose...(Sauf Duck Tales!) Toujours pas de Zelda à l'horizon ni de Mario land 2 pour l'instant.

Donc ça y est je revends ma Game Boy et j'arrive à acheter la Game Gear par la Redoute accompagné de Wonderboy & Columns.

Une fois reçu, j'étais enchanté par la console mais un peu déçu par l’infériorité de Columns face à Tetris et Wonderboy par rapport à Mario Land..

Par la suite, je ne sais plus comment je l'ai obtenu mais une fois Castle Of Illusion que j'avais tant voulu, cela m'avait réconforté de son usage.

L'usage de la Game Gear... on ne peut pas en parler si on parle pas de ses piles consommés. J'avais trouvé la parade en achetant de ensemble de 6 piles rechargeables accompagnés du chargeur toujours alimentés et le chargeur de la console me permettant d'y jouer à domicile en continu.

D'autres jeux m'ont permis de prolonger l'aventure avec Sonic 2, GG Shinobi, Ax Battler, etc... J'ai découvert Crystal Warrior un jeu très pauvre graphiquement mais très bon en Tatical RPG avec les guerriers, magiciens, pretres en suivant les équilibres eau, terre, air, et feu.

Autre bon usage de la Game Gear, c'est l'obtention du Master Gear, c'est à dire un adaptateur permettant d'insérer les jeux Master System. C'est parce que j'avais un ami la possédant que cela me permettait de découvrir d'autres titres tel que Wonderboy 3 d'ailleurs refait récemment par Dotemu

Cela s'est suivi par la suite par l'achat de la Master System 2 en promotion intégrant Alex Kidd in Miracle World.

En réfléchissant, nous étions pas si loin du modèle Switch, car j'avais la possibilité en jouant à la Master System de continuer le jeu de façon portable sur la Game Gear.

En utilisant cette solution, je voyais que du coup les jeux SMS n'étaient finalement pas adaptés au petit écran et leur vitesse d'animation étaient boostées sur cette dernière.

Sans m'en rendre compte, j'étais passé fan SEGA avec quelques titres sympathiques tel que Donald Duck, Asterix, Alex Kidd in Shinobi World, ... argumentant les graphismes plus colorés comparés à la NES ainsi que le monochrome de la Game Boy

Mais je constatais malgré tout les jeux Nintendo sortir chez la concurrence qui avaient l'air plus abouti avec Mario Bros 2 et 3, Megaman 2, Bionic Commando, Kid Icarus, et surtout les Zelda !!

Je termine cette partie avant une suite sur les consoles 16 bits...

Pernah merasa sendiri ga kak? Liat temen lain posting story ig bareng temennya tiap hari ganti2 sedang kitanya drmh aja mau ajak jalan siapa jg ga tau gt. :(

Hmm.. Saya ini introvert dan soliter.

Dari SD saya santai aja kemana-mana sendirian. Di masa kuliah, kalau ada film yang mau saya tonton di bioskop, langsung aja saya ke sana tanpa repot-repot mencari teman yang mau nonton. Lagi bosen? Jalan aja sendirian ke toko buku. Tanpa sedih, tanpa menye-menye, biasa aja.

Malah saya tersinggung kalau ada yang bertanya “Kok sendirian aja?”, apalagi pake mengasihani (Hello? Situ kali yang kasihan, ke WC aja mesti cari temen, wkwk–curhat, jaman kuliah). What is wrong with being solitaire? This is an advantage, not a weakness.

Alhamdulillah ya, saya ngga punya ketergantungan yang besar sama orang lain. Saya pikir kamu juga harus mengembangkan sisi ini dalam diri kamu.

Cobalah pergi sendirian. Ke manapun yang kamu mau. And don’t do it for the sake of Instagram story (millenial banget 😋)

Betrayal (G/T fluff, Reader POV)

100 GT theme challenge.

You feel the trembling of the table long before they enter the room and though normally their presence is impossible to ignore, your mind to far too focused on your current endeavor to pay them much mind. The only thing you are truly aware of is the bright flashing lights of the screen, the plastic controller in your hands (the special small one they made for you), and the slowly climbing score in the top corner.

So close. So very close.

Thought you are only vaguely aware of them standing behind you and though you’re mind remains sternly and stubbornly focused on the screen, you cannot help the growing awareness of their presence. And knowing well enough their near complete disinterest in video games of any sort – aside from solitaire which NO does not count! - you start to sense their true purpose. And once you turn the slightest bit of your attention to the large being, their acute dubiety is hard to mistake. You reluctantly pause the game, and turn your head back and up – very up – to meet their gaze.

Oh yeah. They’re not happy.

You smile weakly and ask, “So…? Whatssup?”

They cross their arms and raise an eyebrow and immediately you blanch and begin the mental scouring to try and figure out what you did to upset them. You cleaned up the mess you made at breakfast and even apologized, admitting that spelunking into a cereal box was not a very smart idea. Even if it was fun. Then there was the mail incident. Which you also apologized for. And it was mostly junk mail anyway!

And there was no way they knew about your super secret candy stash. So that couldn’t be it either.

“...what’d I do?” you ask instead, ducking your head a little in preparation for whatever answer your giant friend is about to give.

“What time is it?” they ask simply with mild accusation.

You blink and turn back to the screen. “Uh, it’s 2:35.”

“Exactly.”

You stare at them without comprehension. Seeing your confusion, they tap their own watch strapped to their wrist. “2:35...AM.”

“Ooooooh...”

“Exactly. Oh.” You’re mind turns to your unfinished game, feeling the all too real pang of yearning. The last level before the big boss fight. They one you’ve struggled and toiled and labored to reach all week. So close! SO CLOSE!

“Five more minutes,” you say to them in an urgent and clear bargaining tone. “Just five minutes and I’ll be done.”

Your friend laughs, but without humor and they regard you with a critical eye. “That’s not gonna work on me, bucko. I am well aware how long you version of five minutes can be. Not gonna happen. It’s bedtime.”

You watch in mounting horror as their hands reached above you towards the console. You drop the controller and latch onto their wrist, your arms just long enough to wrap around it completely and allowing you a strong hold. “NO! PLEASE, I AM SO CLOSE! I WILL GIVE YOU ALL THE GOLD IN THE WORLD!”

They snort an amused laugh, but your antics and hysterics do little to prevent them from turning the game console off with a simple solitary push of the power button. The screen flickers and turns a bright blue and then black as the screen it turned off as well. You stare with wide eyed horror as all your hard work disappears and you let your grip on their wrist loosen and you fall the short drop to land on the desk. You lay there motionless for a long moment, staring up at the ceiling in shock. Soon, the large face of your friend – saboteur! - leans into view with dulled concern.

“You’ll live,” they said. “Come on. Bedtime.”

You mumble something in despair and kick your leg.

“Huh?” Your friend leans down further to hear your small voice. “Say that again.”

“You have murdered me,” you reply. “I am dead. Betrayed and friendless. Leave me here to waste away and die.”

Their expression is one of concern and then flat eyed amusement.

“I thought you said I murdered you?” they ask with a sardonic twist to their mouth. You feel their fingers pushed at your side, slipping under your arm and back to lift you up off the table. Unresistant, you lay limp and lifeless in the cradle of their hands as they leave the room and make way towards the bedroom. “Go on and stop with this silliness.”

“It’s not silly!” you argue with real vehemence and real emotion. Your friend pauses in their stride and they regard with with open surprise as the strength of your opposition. The edges of your eyes tingle and pool with tears and you look away from them a little ashamed. A part of you is aware that you are acting beyond childish and just because you are so much smaller and a bit younger than they are doesn’t excuse such behavior. Then again, there is a part of you that doesn’t care. “I worked really hard to get to that level...really hard.”

“It’s just a video game,” they tell you, but gently and perhaps a bit apologetic, but it just makes you mad. It might seem trivial to them, but it was important to you. “You can finish tomorrow. It’s unhealthy to stay up so late like this. You need sleep. We both do.”

Their thumb pokes your belly and you involuntarily jerk, bringing your hands over your middle to guard against the offending digit.

“You could have at least let me save!” you shoot back with a frown, turning over so you’re sitting in their hands rather than laying. They enter the bedroom and set you down on the side table as they pull the covers up and slip into the bed. You sit sulkily on the table, trying your best to radiate your displeasure. They look at you and smile indulgently. “You really think I’d ruin your game?”

“I don’t think,” you shoot back. “I know!”

“Never heard of auto-save?”

You blink, the simmering indignation of your churning thoughts subsiding for a moment. “I...uh, yeah.”

“And did you know that if you go into the console settings, you can activate said auto-save?”

“...no?”

They just stare at you patiently, waiting for the slow molasses of your thought processes catch up and you sit up straighter with a start. You eye them hopefully. “You...you mean my game’s not ruined?”

“Nope.” They reply, a ghost of a smile on their face as they reach out and offer you their hand. “So now that you’re assured that the world is not ending, can we please go to sleep?”

With a spring of joyous energy you leap to your feet and practically throw yourself onto the palm of their hand. “THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!”

They bring you over and settle you carefully onto their chest which vibrates with their laugh. “Alright, alright. Settle down.”

Even as they’re actively trying to tuck you in, pulling the sheet over you, you still cannot contain the relief and joy and wiggle around in a mock happy dance while still laying on their chest.

“~I’m gonna beat the boss tomorrow, I’m gonna beat the boss tomorrow!~”

They sigh deeply and place their hand over you to keep you still and silence your song. But even muffles, your melody chanting of “~I’m gonna beat the boss tomorrow!~” cannot be silenced completely.

“Please, go to sleep!” They beg in exasperation.

You stop singing and cease your wiggling, pushing at their hand to let them know you’re done and after a moment they release you. You lay there giggling and breathless for a moment before you become aware of the weariness in your limbs and the lulling pull of fatigue at the corners of your mind. Your eyelids droop and you yawn wide and loudly with a little stretch. Assured that all is right with the world once more, you turn onto your side, snuggling into the sheet and the soft warm fabric of your friend’s night shirt with a contented sigh. You feel the relaxing touch of their finger brush against your back, rubbing gently, and just as sleep overtakes you, you hear their soft voice say, “Goodnight.”

Une pièce unique, un événement bien travaillé, un parcours suivi sur les réseaux sociaux … tout a été bien fait pour qu’il soit impossible d’en faire la moindre photo sur le salon, entouré qu’il était ses très nombreux fans. Il a fallu que je m’y précipite un matin avant l’ouverture pour pouvoir l’admirer aisément.

A côté de ce mastodonte, deux stands au moins faisaient le poids : celui de Citroën, lancée vers la célébration de son centenaire, ainsi que celui de Kidston réunissant de splendides Miura.

Commençons par Citroën et ses concept cars. J’ai ainsi pu découvrir la C10 de 1956 incroyablement moderne pour l’époque. Cette voiture a réellement 60 ans ? Difficile à croire !
