Dragon Age Thought: Awakening Anders died

This was inspired by my unfortunate Leto died and Fenris is a Spirit Theory 1, 2.

If you meet Nathaniel in DA2 and Anders died in Awakenings Nathaniel says he saw Anders dead body with an arrow in the neck.

Anders says he fled during the attack on the Keep and then quips ‘Let me guess- badly burned, in robes? Do all mages look the same to you?’ It is very reminiscent of the misdirecting humor simply human Anders had in Awakenings.

What if in that particular world state the Anders in Awakenings did die… and Justice reacted to that death in the same way that the Cole we know from DAI reacted to the original Cole- he became him. Cole was not aware of his nature at first and the muddled memories and confusion of Anders short story would still make sense but it wasn’t a direct merge so much Justice incompletely copying Anders.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE thinking about the specifics of the Anders and Justice merge as I normally think of it, but this is interesting to me as well.
