I should probably make it known that one of the other ships I have for Maevaris is Dad Mercar.

Shadow Dragon Rook having grown up with a widower or never married single father, who used to make them sit and listen to him read aloud her latest speech in the Magisterium or published opinion at the breakfast table.

Afterwards he would put the paper down on the table with his palm resting on it, shake his head and declare, “what an incredible woman,” before making Rook discuss her points at dark-o’-clock in the morning before school.

Ashur telling Mercar that the Dragons were thinking of approaching their father, what do they think? And Mercar barely managing to keep a straight face as they go, yeah, no, I think he would- you know, he’s always really admired Mae’s career, maybe if she could write him, or meet, perhaps?

Bioware dev 3 : They're using people as chairs and furniture in the background of some areas , further dehumanizing them, really good show don't tell environmental work

The writers assumed people would be able to infer that dark shit is happening all the time without hitting the player with exposition bricks all the time, unfortunately forgetting that a lot of players have the attention span of a silverfish.

Nyxie working with the group has a terrible sense of imposter syndrome and trying to figure out *whats* her place there initially. So she see's herself a bit of a fake, but she tries to follow her training and see herself as just a weapon and an assassin, but she's so hungry for more but she hides those desires/hunger'.

She does think something is inherently wrong with her but has no intent to start to address that.

She tries to cultivate a cold/closed off exterior, but it's become more of a unnerving /unsettling vibe to people with her stare and lil habits and just being generally bad at connections

They do see her differently once hey get past that initial wall, but just a challenge to get there

Today’s Questions: Borrowing a bit from this character questionnaire today, because I think there's some fun stuff in there-- how does Rook see themselves? What fundamental truths do they believe about who they are, and their place in the world? Does this differ from how other people see them? Is that difference something they cultivate intentionally? Is the way others see them the way Rook wants to be seen, or is there difference between how they would like to be perceived and how they are, in actuality?

Taash is Nyxie's partner!

Nyxie likes a lot, both on a physical level 'big/strong' then personality level likes that they are more straightforward and blunt about things. Glad to have someone she can just *talk* with and not feel like she's having to carefully watch what she's doing but be a little more relaxed around. Neve intimidates Nyxie because neve seems so put together, and clever, Lucanis is not just another crow but grandson of the first talon so initially she's on her best behavior because 'thats like big bosses protege if i make any errors it'll get back to them', Emmerich is so esteemed and she's just throwing things at the line, she's so intimidated by a lot of the group and having someone she feels at ease with

Very much physical activities. Before they were together Nyxie did admittedly look for reasons for the two to train/spar together. Not at all subtle with that big ole stare at Taash. A lot of 'getting their mind off of things,' to help out each other, or finding good things inspite of the base since neither are good at direct feelings. Love joining taash on hunts and hearing about them talk about interests (Imagine working on her stitch work as taash talks about something in the hilt) I do think they did have a rocky patch *post* vg because of how much Taash thinks the crows are cool and Nyxie finally cracks and tells taash more the realities and the brutality of some of the training. Which both 'that's bullshit' and 'why don't you leave' which is a reallly complicated subject/feeling for Nyxie. So some tension there as Nyxie works on finding more compromise because it is such a big part of her life and the 'you can't just leave the crows' situation. Taash thinks her brother is *weird* and Nyxie's the normal one. Sees how twisted up the twin's are and likely same situation to their mother. Also that Nel gets into the 'corpse stuff'
