Abu Obeida, the military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, announced that Israeli soldiers were captured, killed and wounded during a Resistance operation on Saturday afternoon in the northern Gaza Strip.

The soldiers were captured when an Israeli force was lured into a tunnel in the Jabaliya refugee camp.

This is the full text of Abu Obeida’s speech:

‘Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the hearts of a believing people.’

“O our great people, O heroic fighters, O our nation and free people of the world, peace and blessings be upon you.

“The enemy government and its oppressive army persist in their blind, reckless policy of revenge and destruction, moving from one failure to another, seeking illusory achievements to market their massacres and military pressure against our people as victories or accomplishments. Our great heroic fighters continue to teach the occupation lessons on all fronts, relying on Allah, holding firmly to His strong rope, and defending their land against a wicked, barbaric, and vile enemy.

“The latest chapter of Zionist failure and confusion has been the horrific crimes committed by the enemy forces, which continue to this hour, in Jabalia, Rafah, and other parts of our beloved land. The occupation forces sift through piles of rubble searching for the remains of some of their captives whom they deliberately bombed earlier. They deploy thousands of soldiers in the alleys of Jabalia and elsewhere, searching for corpses, sacrificing their soldiers for Netanyahu’s personal plots and the interests of his extremist, fascist government.

“Then, the enemy army markets the extraction of remains as a military and moral achievement. Despite the genocide war and indiscriminate destruction, our fighters have been and remain vigilant against the enemy forces, carrying out dozens of operations against them for more than two weeks in Jabalia, Rafah, Beit Hanoun, and all axes of aggression and incursion.

“The latest of these operations was a complex operation carried out by our fighters this afternoon, Saturday, in the northern Gaza Strip. Our fighters lured a Zionist force into one of the tunnels in Jabalia camp, trapping them in an ambush inside and at the entrance of this tunnel.

“By the grace and strength of Allah, they were able to clash with this force at point-blank range. Then, our fighters attacked the reinforcement force that rushed to the scene with explosive devices, hitting them directly.

“Our fighters then withdrew after detonating the tunnel used in this operation, after causing all members of this force to be killed, injured, or captured, and seizing their military equipment.

“Every day that the enemy spends in its aggression against our people and our family will incur a heavy and significant price. We will continue to make the enemy pay this price, by Allah’s will and help. We are continuing to confront the aggression in every street, neighborhood, city, and camp in our Strip, from Beit Hanoun to Rafah.

“We will reveal new details of these operations at the appropriate time, Allah willing.

“Salute to the souls of our righteous martyrs, our courageous wounded, and our proud prisoners. Salute to our heroic fighters in all their positions and to our great, giving people everywhere.

“It is a jihad of victory or martyrdom.

“Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.”

(RNN) — In a continuation of repression of Palestinian voices, Meta has restricted (https://theintercept.com/2024/10/02/meta-facebook-instagram-red-triangle-emoji/) the use of the triangle emoji (🔻) on Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp, due to its association with Palestinian resistance. The emoji has been made famous due to the use of the symbol by the Al-Qassam Brigades to highlight enemy targets in their operation videos and has become an icon of solidarity with the resistance. According to the Intercept, who reviewed Meta's internal content moderation files, the rule applies to all users but is now being enforced in moderation. Critics state that this broad ban cannot distinguish between the different uses of the symbol, especially given the opaque nature of the ban. This comes just a few months after Meta planned to begin to change its policies (https://t.me/RNN_Backup/47593) to classify the word "zionist" as "hate speech."

Harvard University, responding to two anti-discrimination lawsuits threatening its Federal funding, recently agreed to acknowledge on its official website, “For many Jewish people, Zionism is a part of their Jewish identity. Conduct that would violate the Non-Discrimination Policy if targeting Jewish or Israeli people can also violate the policy if directed toward Zionists.”

The same day that Harvard’s agreement was announced, the University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) — also party to a recent agreement following a Federal investigation into charges of faculty antisemitism – made a different kind of announcement, which thumbed its nose at the US government and doubled down on condoning faculty antisemitism.

Prominently displayed on UCSC’s campus-wide Events page was an announcement for an Education Department talk subtitled, “Centering an Anti-Zionist Commitment in (Early Childhood) Teacher Education,” clearly suggesting the speaker would be advocating for instilling in children as young as pre-school age a hatred of Israel and its supporters.

The only thing missing from the announcement were the words “Jews not welcome here” – though that message came through loud and clear.

Tellingly, this talk was also promoted on the website of UCSC’s Faculty for Justice in Palestine (FJP) chapter, a group that shares the speaker’s “anti-Zionist commitment” and passion for expressing that commitment in educational spaces. It’s worth noting that more than 40% of the university’s Education Department’s core faculty have publicly allied themselves with this group, which was established a few weeks after Hamas’ October 7, 2023, massacre, mutilation, rape, and kidnapping of more than 1,400 Israelis.

UCSC’s FJP is one of more than 160 chapters of the FJP National Network, a project of the US arm of the Hamas-linked Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel. Established as the academic brigade of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement, FJP is tasked with promoting an academic boycott of Israel, or academic BDS, urging faculty to boycott their school’s Israel-related programming, agreements, or projects, with the ultimate goal of eliminating Zionism and Zionists from academia.

Since its founding, UCSC FJP has diligently executed its marching orders, engaging in academic BDS-compliant behavior that has included: calling on faculty to cancel classes “in solidarity with Palestine” and praising graduate instructors for withholding students’ final grades to blackmail the university into boycotting Israel; co-authoring statements demanding the school cut all ties with Israeli universities, including popular study abroad programs, and boycott Jewish campus organizations such as Hillel; and rallying students and faculty to participate in an anti-Zionist march to disrupt a Jewish student-led “Unity Walk,” posting: “UCSC …  Let’s make it clear — Zionism is not welcome on our campus.”

"News from the battlefield, often documented by Gaza’s Resistance, shows that the Israeli army is weaker than ever, and the Palestinian Resistance has the upper hand, at all fronts.

Earlier in the day, Wednesday, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said it killed 12 Israeli soldiers from zero distance in the Jabaliya fighting.

That was only one of many statements issued by Gaza Resistance groups throughout the day.

Later, Israel sources, cited in Al-Jazeera admitted that in a single attack 20 occupation soldiers have been killed or wounded on Wednesday after a booby-trapped building in Jabaliya was detonated with Israeli forces inside."

SEEKING JUSTICE

Breathe, girl.

Redeye's fingers flexed around her rifle's grip. Her sights hovered two sight-notches up and to the right from the small red box highlighting her target.

Deep in.

Block out the thought of your enemy dying. Her father's words. She'd never really managed to. She killed the enemy, but she'd never managed to hate them.

Her father had derided her as overly empathetic. Who cared if the targets in her scope had children? Lovers? Family? People who'd attend their funeral? Would anyone miss them? You shouldn't. You should shoot them in the head.

But Redeye had always been a storyteller, and so she wondered regardless. The men in her scopes, who called themselves a Solidarity Brigade; did they have families who loved them? Were they providing for someone? Who would go hungry when the money they sent home dried up?

It doesn't matter. Her father's words, again. In the here and now, she was hovering her sights two notches up and to the left above an enemy mech's power core.

She exhaled; one long breath out. The words of her father rang in her ear.

At the bottom of your breath out, pull the trigger.

She pulled the trigger.

The one-metre ferrous slug, launched like an arrow from her bow, a bullet from her rifle, left an afterimage like a shooting star. Its sheer speed broke the sound barrier in nanoseconds and left rings in the low-lying clouds.

Her father smiled. She'd just taken a life and he was smiling.

You saved lives. Maybe. Maybe shed'd just took away from this world. Maybe this death was ultimately meaningless. Maybe this was just one more unforgivable crime disguised as peacekeeping.

Maybe there was a reason why she always aimed for the power core and not the cockpit.

(Maybe there was a reason she'd joined the Department of Justice and Human Rights; and, maybe, it was in fact the most selfish thing she'd ever done.)

Redeye looked up from her scope and loaded the next ferrous slug into Infinite Effective Range's railgun. Superheated air hissed as it was released from vents in a flash-cooling cycle. She laid a hand over her heart, cradled the necklace she'd made from a small chain and a spent bullet casing.
