Y’all I can’t stop thinking about my housemate’s oncology appointment today (it was overall very encouraging). She told her doctor the following—forgive me, but I have to paraphrase a bit here:

It’s funny, but I’ve spent most of my life hating my body. Now I’m here, and if I hadn’t had that weight to lose I might not be. It got me through everything and I owe it a lot of respect.

And the thing is, she’s right. She basically spent six months barely able to keep any food down at all. Her oncologist 100% agrees and calls her body “a miracle” for sustaining her all that time and also for responding to the chemo in a unique way. My housemate is on a good trajectory for her health now, and also she has a totally new outlook on the body she inhabits.

So I guess what I’m trying to say here is even if you can’t love your body, respect it. It deserves that much, for getting you this far already. 💕

i did some math to compare how childe would perform with heart of depth vs the new artifact set, depending on how much atk/atk% substat you have the difference is fairly miniscule but the non-na damage (riptide effect and the various burst effects) actually get a solid increase bc the new set gives atk and overall hydro bonus rather than just a na bonus.

She’s determined and/or stubborn (applying for medical school again and again to the detriment of her savings, keeping Curly alive though mercy-killing him would be just as acceptable)

She’s insanely good at her job even if she’s not legally a nurse (keeping Curly alive this long on very limited supplies, holy hell)

She’s a logical person (assessing situations quickly and accurately, taking time to think things through before acting, paying attention to detail)

She’s friendly toward her coworkers (teasing Swansea about his sweet tooth, pinning Daisuke’s art on the board in Medical, expressing amusement when Curly says something corny)

She gets lost in thought sometimes (Swansea complains she doesn’t always pay attention when he’s talking to her)

She and Curly have the same taste in music (Curly compliments her playlist)

She’s willing to break rules when it seems beneficial (hiding the gun, arguing that they should break into the cargo hold, allowing Curly to take over Jimmy’s psych eval)

She’s very academically inclined (reading and rereading manuals beyond her “wheelhouse” as the nurse, spending her free time studying)

She likes going for runs, horrible reality TV, and fast food

What if the Axolotl had a pantheon?

I was playing around with my main AU and finally got around to designing Blarbador (yes, his name is super silly. I love him. I got it from Blood Chains, which is a REALLY great Billford fic if you're interested!). In my AU, he's here to make Ford's life hell! What a lovely fella.

Stanford was cursed by Blarbador to never be able to stay in a single dimension for longer than six years, as punishment for his and his partner's crimes (that being Bill, who died before Blarb could bring him to justice). As an immortal, his punishment is eternal, and as a human, his torment is never ending. Blarbador taunts him about it from time to time, but it's rare for him to appear "in person" again.

And yes, my Ford is a huge centipede! I love him!
