Same for the previous drawing, this looks great. I'm glad you added your version of April, May and June and Kabooie Duck, and there's Violet with them. Fenton and Gandra on the lunar rover look great. Thank you so much for these drawings and for participating in this 55th anniversary of the Moon Landing. Thanks a lot!

Ducktales Crew in spacesuits in space on the Moon - Ducktales kids, teenagers and adults on the Moon - Happy Moon Landing and Happy Independence Day of the USA - Gift for my friend - Ducktales in Space (Ducktales AU) - Tribute to Ducktales 2017 - Second part
Although I already drew Ducktales characters in spacesuits on the moon last year, still because of Landing Moon Day which is held on July 20th every year and this year is the 55th anniversary of human walking on the moon, I drew somehow a similar drawing, in my own way, in my own style where the Ducktales characters are on the moon in spacesuits.
Astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins who led the Apollo 11 crew in the Saturn V rocket from July 16 to July 24, 1969, with July 20 and 21 being Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon and were the first people to walk on the moon and brought great pride to the USA and to all mankind. July 20 and 21, 1969 were the significant dates when people were on the moon for the first time. And those are the days of Moon Landing. After the crew of Apollo 11, the crew members of Apollo 12-17 will go and walk on the moon, until 1972, except for Apollo 13. Unfortunately, after more than 50 years, people reportedly did not go to the moon due to numerous problems with the construction of further rockets, but lately there is a race to the moon again, so maybe in the near future people will go to the moon again, unless they are faking it. Space travel is back in fashion. And 55 years have passed since the first walk on the moon.
You can see a similar previous drawing here: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/732385519766487040/ducktales-crew-in-spacesuits-on-the-moon-in-space
I didn’t manage to draw Ducktales characters from head to toe in spacesuits, but certainly the special way I imagine Ducktales 2017 is that they wear spacesuits like Sandy Cheeks from Sponge Bob, I just reshaped it in my own way and these suits can be used and for traveling under water, in volcanic regions and protection against pandemics. Yes, they wear bubble helmets, which are actually glass-proof. This time is the second part of Ducktales 2017 characters with family members and their friends, since not everyone could fit in the previous drawing. Anyway, check out the previous drawing from Ducktales 2017 crew in spacesuits on the Moon part one: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/756620890157056000/ducktales-crew-in-spacesuits-in-space-on-the-moon
Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera and Gandra Dee drive the moon rover (I love how Fenton and Gandra are together so I drew them sticking together), Scrooge McDuck in his vintage spacesuit holds moon ore filled with diamonds and gold found on the moon, and Violet holds a banner along with Daisy's nieces April, May and June Duck and mostly writes this: "We are the first ducklings on The Moon. One small step for ducklings, one big step for ducks!" If you understand this sentence. ;) What Neil Armstrong said when he walked on the moon on July 20, 1969. And that Louie Duck took photos with his android mobile phone (see previous drawing) of these characters to mark the new event and the big anniversary of 55 years ago. And Gyro keeps an Oxy-Chew just in case he runs out of oxygen in his space suit. As for Daisy's nieces as I imagine them in Ducktales 2017, see here: https://ducktoonsfanart.tumblr.com/post/743089775258615808/april-may-and-june-duck-as-teenagers-quack-pack
And that's how I imagine these characters in my version of Ducktales 2017 (Ducktales AU) and in my version of the Quack Pack reboot if it was a sequel to Ducktales 2017. Yes, Boyd is holding the US flag since it's also Independence Day which is celebrated in the US every 4th of July. , and the Americans were the first on the moon, allegedly. While the others wear symbols of the USA, Gladstone wears the flag of Ireland on his space suit, because after all Ireland represents the country of lucky. ;) This drawing features Violet Sabrewing, April, May and June Duck, Boyd Gearloose (Boyd Beaks), Kabooie Duck (5th Donald's nephew wearing a brown space suit and how I imagine him in DT17), Scrooge McDuck, Gladstone Gander, Fethry Duck, Drake Mallard, Launchpad McQuack, Bentina Beakley and Gyro Gearloose.
I hope you like this drawing and this idea and feel free to like and reblog this, just don’t use these same ideas of mine without mentioning me. Thank you! Also this is dedicated to my friend @ducksinspaceadventure, who organized Moon Landing Day. Happy Independence Day everyone and Happy Moon Landing Day! And the 55th anniversary of walking on the Moon!

May I please request a character dynamic between Mrs. Beakley and Gladstone?
Okay, sure.
Just to note: When I got this request, I still had another story queued up (the Donald and Fenton one) that you requested that I had to wrap up. But that’s done, so now there’s this!
Update: I’m sorry this took so long to put up, but ultimately, here it is. After this, I’m going to take the fics that I have done for both this prompt and the platonic sentence starter prompt and pop them onto AO3.
I give you…
On a Warm Summer’s Evening…
Originated from this post.
It was late. Gladstone was too tired to sleep. On this particular evening, he just so happened to be staying at McDuck Manor, as was Fethry (they had spent the day hanging out with Donald and Della).
Trying to be as quiet as possible, he snuck out of the guest bedroom. ‘Crap,’ he thought. ‘What now?’
His eyes wandered around the dark hall. He noticed a door to a room that he hadn’t been in before. He decided to check it out.
When Gladstone flipped on the light, he was surprised to see, amongst various games and game pieces, a solid mahogany pool table. It was rather immaculate, as if it hadn’t been touched in a while. Even the playing field seemed to not have any nicks or tears on it.
“Incredible,” he murmured. “I never would have guessed Uncle McDunkle would have something like this hidden away. Okay, maybe I would have, but a pool table? Surprising.”
All 15 balls were nestled snugly in their rack, but the cue ball was nowhere to be found. Gladstone started poking around to find it. He was so invested in his search that he didn’t pay attention to how much noise he was making. And he didn’t notice the looming figure coming up behind him, flashlight in one hand, wooden club in the other.
“AAAAAHHHHH!!!”
“What the feathers?!”
It took a bit for Gladstone’s eyes to adjust to the figure in front of him, but eventually, he realized that the figure was a stern-looking Mrs. Beakley.
“Ah- buh-“
“Gladstone,” Beakley whispered sharply, “what in Heaven’s name are you doing rooting around the mansion at this hour? I had reason to believe you were a burglar.”
“I couldn’t sleep,” Gladstone admitted. “My mind’s just-“ he used two fingers to make a zooming motion to try and illustrate his point.
Beakley was rather annoyed with Gladstone for disturbing her sleep. But she couldn’t say she didn’t relate to his situation.
“Well, then,” she replied. “Have you tried anything to go back to sleep?”
“I figured maybe taking a walk would help,” the gander suggested. “But I don’t know-this doesn’t usually happen to me.”
“I see you found Mr. McDuck’s billiards table,” Beakley continued, changing the subject.
“Pffft, guess so,” Gladstone replied. “I never saw him as the kind of duck to have one of these, though.”
“Oh, he bought this years ago,” Beakley explained. “Said he would use it after meetings with clients or fellow businessmen. But, to the best of my knowledge, he never did. So it’s just sat here. I’d suspect he probably views it as some sort of a status symbol. Massive shame to let such a purchase go to waste.”
Was Gladstone’s hearing playing tricks on him, or could he sense a bit of resentment and frustration in the housekeeper’s voice?
“You up for a game?”
Beakley could not believe what she was hearing. “What?! Absolutely not!” she hissed. “It’s past 11 in the evening, and I’d like to get back to sleep, thank you very much.”
She then went silent, weighing her options. Even though she wanted to get back to sleep, after Gladstone woke her up, in all honesty, it would be quite hard for her to actually get back to sleep. Plus, like she said, she had no idea why McDuck would make such a purchase if he wasn’t going to use the pool table.
“Well…” she reluctantly admitted. “I suppose we could play a game. If that will sate your desire.”
“Fantastic!” Gladstone replied. “Then I guess it’s game on.”
“I should warn you,” Beakley continued, “I was quite the billiards player back in my day.”
“Very well, then,” remarked Gladstone.
“And I will not go easy on you.”
The two stared competitively at each other.
“Care to make it interesting?” Gladstone asked.
“What do you propose?” Beakley shot back.
“100 bucks?”
As high a standard of morality as Beakley held herself too, she was also not one to back down from a challenge. “Make it 200.”
“Deal.”
Gladstone broke. “Call it, Veintidos.”
Beakley ignored the nickname. “Solids.”
The fifteen balls went scattering about the table. However, Gladstone didn’t sink anything, at least not yet.
Beakley was now up. The cue ball had a good position relative to the 6. She took aim, and fired. The cue ball struck the 6, and sent it flying into a corner pocket.
“Not bad,” Gladstone remarked.
“Oh, I am just getting warmed up,” Beakley retorted. She had her eye on the 3 now. She changed her position as needed, and after the cue ball struck the 3, it peeled off in the opposite direction, and dropped into the opposing corner pocket on the same side of the table. “Hm. 2 for 2.”
Gladstone wasn’t worried, though. He could bounce back in a big way. It wasn’t just luck, though. It was skill.
Beakley tried for the 7 ball next, but she didn’t get enough power to sink it. “Your turn,” she said curtly.
“Alright,” Gladstone noted. “Let’s see-“ He sized up his ball situation. He eyed the 12, took aim at the left corner pocket on the other side of the table, and fired. The 12 was just past the center of the table, so Gladstone needed a lot of power in his shot. The cue ball smashed into the 12, sending into the corner pocket. 2-1.
“You’re not so bad yourself,” Beakley echoed.
“Well, I try,” Gladstone answered. His next target-the 15 ball. It was in the center of the table, and with how close to the center pocket the cue ball was, Gladstone was going to have to do some maneuvering. He angled his cue as far down as he could, and took his shot. The cue ball successfully struck the 15, but the 15 veered just to the left of the opposite center pocket, coming to a rest right at the edge of the playing field.
“Well, I guess it’s your move, then.”
“Quite so,” echoed Beakley.
She eyed the 7 again, and this time, her aim was true. It dropped into the center pocket.
Next up, the 1 ball. She took a good shot at it, but the 1 fell just shy of the right corner pocket.
Gladstone took a look at the field. Which ball would give him good position at another point?
He eyed the 14 on the edge. He prepared to take his shot, and…fired. The cue ball crashed into the 14, and started towards the opposite wall. With as much force as Gladstone put into his shot, the 14 rolled all the way to the opposite right corner, and dropped in.
Gladstone sharply exhaled in response. He needed to be in the zone. He was a confident player, but he knew Beakley was bringing her A game.
He tried to sink the 9 into the same pocket, but he came up just short.
“Hm,” Beakley quietly remarked. “Back to me, then.”
Looking back at the 1 ball, she set up her aim, and easily dropped it in. She sunk the 2, which was along the corresponding side of the field, in short order. Beakley then eyed the 5, floating near the middle. She moved over to one of the longer sides, intending to sink the 5 in the opposing center pocket, which was exactly what she did. Just the 4 and the 8 to go, and she would win. However, the 4, which she shot towards the pocket to the left of where the 5 went, bounced off the edge of said pocket and came to a stop just right of her intended target.
“Back to you.”
Gladstone nodded, then set up his second go at the 9 ball. It easily went in. He tried sinking the 15, which had eluded him before, into the corner pocket on the other side, but no dice. It bounced off both edges, then reversed course a bit. It was still within close range of the pocket in question, but now it was back to Beakley.
Beakley came towards the 4 ball, and it went into the corner pocket with ease. She now went in for the kill. The 8 ball was near the center of the table, so this would be somewhat of a shot in the dark. She tried to pot it in the opposite right pocket, but came up empty. Gladstone was still alive.
“Third time’s the charm,” he muttered under his breath, seeking down the 15 once again. This time, he made it in. Now he needed to keep it going.
In the corner diagonally opposing where he’d just potted, he saw the 10 ball. And the 11. If he used enough force on the cue ball, he could sink both in one go.
He took aim. He fired. The cue ball zipped towards the other corner, knocked into the 10, which, in turn, pushed the 11, and the two dropped neatly into the corner pocket. Gladstone was only down by a single ball now.
Beakley was thoroughly impressed. For someone so obnoxiously drunk on luck, she’d figured, he had major skill at this.
Gladstone had landed the cue ball pretty close to the 13 ball. The angling seemed too slim to try for the side pocket, but if he could just get it back to the other side of the field…
He aimed for the opposite corner pocket. The cue ball knocked off the 13. The 13 rolled towards the pocket in question, tailed off a bit in speed, but on what was seemingly its last leg of momentum, ultimately dropped in.
Gladstone and Beakley stared at each other wordlessly. They knew this next pot would be for all the marbles.
Gladstone took his first shot at the 8 ball, aiming for the other corner on that side of the table. No luck.
That left the door open for Beakley, and she repositioned the cue ball, took aim, and finished Gladstone off by sinking the 8.
“Very nicely done,” Gladstone remarked quietly.
“Thank you,” Beakley answered. “You’re not so bad yourself. And now, I believe we had a wager?”
Gladstone fished around in his breast pocket, pulled out two $100 bills, and slammed them on the table. “There you are, Downton.”
Beakley nodded in acknowledgment. “Goodness, what time is it?” she wondered, checking her watch. “Well! Just about 12:30. That certainly whiled away time.”
“Yeah, it was actually pretty cool,” Gladstone added. “You’re like a regular Calisota Fats.”
“Well, I usually played either while undercover in my S.H.U.S.H. days, or against a fellow agent,” Beakley recalled. “‘‘Twas quite a rush. This was not too bad itself.”
Well, Gladstone was satisfied, and as much as Beakley was downplaying it, she was as well. So they bid each other good night, and returned to their rooms. As they did so, the same thought crossed both of their minds:
‘Who knew?’

If you could cast actors as the Duck family (and friends) in a live action series (where the charachters would be in human versions, ofc) who would you cast?
Hi and sorry for answering you late again. Hm, to be honest I didn't think about that, but to be honest I'm not a fan of ducks being in a live action movie or live action series. Of course if it were possible to put animated ducks in those real action movies like Who Framed Roger Rabbit or something like this:
youtube
But if you think that as actors they would play those characters who are not ducks, but humans, then it would make more sense. By the way, last year or two years ago I know that French fans made something similar, in which Scrooge and Donald go on adventures, I just forgot the title. But there's also this movie made by Icelanders that's like a parody of Donald Duck comics:
youtube
The movie is called "Dogma" and there an actor plays Donald who is struggling in life and stuck in prison and has a lot of trouble and in that movie it is spoken in Danish as a parody of Danish comics where they usually publish Donald Duck comics as well as a parody of Danish movies which are usually criminal and dramatic. By the way, it's not for children, because adult humor and black humor are mostly used, which can only be understood by adults who know Donald Duck comics, and in Scandinavian countries Donald Duck is very popular, so the area of popularity is not limited to Italy. Ironically more struck by the authenticity of the Donald Duck comics than either version of Ducktales.
Of course, if it was a normal live action movie as a parody of Donald Duck comics without horror and black humor, only with real actors playing our heroes in real life, it would be a good idea. You just need to have good script writing and good actors and it would turn out well.
If I were to play someone, it would most likely be between Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck, and possibly Fethry Duck and Gladstone Gander, if the opportunity arose. I certainly can't play Donald's nephews, because I'm no longer a child, but an adult, but 10-year-old boys could play them. If a good parody is made and good actors are found, it would be a good movie, although everything depends on the given outcomes and the situation. But it would most likely be played by Donald, Scrooge, Gladstone, Fethry, one of the Beagle Boys, Gyro or maybe Glomgold or Rockerduck, though it depends if my voice is up to it.
I hope I satisfied you with these answers and I'm glad you asked me. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me and I hope you are satisfied and sorry if I offended you with these answers. All in all, thank you. :D
If there are any ideas for that movie or live action series (just for cosplay, nothing more) and someone who could play one of the characters from the Donald Duck family and friends from the Duck comics, feel free to get in touch and say it here.

Favorite villain and what you wish we could have seen more of - DT ask
(I am super aware this has been nearly a year and I am so sorry for putting you on hold for so long you don't have to see this but if you do I hope you will like it thank you and sorry ahhhh)
(1) First: Favourite villain...Jim Starling Hum...this is immediately a hard one...
Okay yes...If Mister Starling counts as a "villain", he is my favourite (at least, the first favourite that comes to mind when I see this question). For purely subjective reasons. not my fault that he is my type of duck man a huh huh huh
("The Duck Knight Returns!" literally gave me 2 of my favourite characters in DT17 in 1 episode who then never appear again. Sadge)
But if Jim doesn't count and I turn off my extremely biased mind, I would say Lunaris.
Solely because of his moonvasion plan. As complex as DT17 writing could possibly be (it is still a children's comedy show, after all), the plan is actually quite clever. He really uses Della as much as he can:
(a) Steal the rocket blueprint because I can't for my life build one myself
(b) Get as much information about the Duck Family and their allies, who will be one of (if not) the biggest adversaries I will encounter on Earth
(c) Lastly, fake a betrayal as the casus belli
Perfect.
Honestly, Lunaris only lost because of a lack of resources/knowledge that he can't possibly obtain/predict:
There is literally only 2 military personnel on Moon, while the rest are all civilians (who make up a barely functional army)
One of said military personnel immediately deflected, and that personnel ultimately helps dismantle the plan
He doesn't have all the information about all people on Earth (e.g. Flintheart, Fethry, Gladstone), because he is not based on Earth in the first place (unlike, for example, Bradford)
Our protagonists literally have the power of god and anime on their side (if Zeus wasn't being cringy and childish, the moonvasion would have ended as soon as it had started)
Now that I have finished the entire series, I actually like the resolution to Moonvasion more than that to The Last Adventure. Bradford has everything that Lunaris lacks: He has a functional task force (okay still one person deflected but she is taken care of soon enough). He has all the information about everything he needs. He somehow can disable and overpower the protagonists' power of god and anime.
Bradford is literally winning until he is somehow not anymore.
FOWL is literally OP until it is somehow not anymore.
The Last Adventure is definitely epic, even more so than the Moonvasion arc. It has a wonderful buildup with interconnected stories (one thing I absolutely love about Season 3 is how the Kit Cloudkicker episode - which seemingly is just a cameo episode - is still tied to the main conflict of Season 3). Everything looks amazing. But as an action anime fan the solution to the conflict is one thing I feel somewhat confused about.
For one, I have to agree with Mister Buzzard: "Family is the greatest adventure of all" is not a reasonable rebuttal.
(For any JoJo fans reading this, I think this is the DT17 equivalent of "So it's the same type of Stand as Star Platinum.")
(And speaking of JoJo, Lunaris literally got Kars-ed at the end lmao)
Sorry @shychick-52 if you have no idea what I am talking about, I will stop now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(2) More I wish we could have seen more of...JIM STARLING I wonder...
Okay, I am honestly curious about what they had in store for Negaduck. I think I have seen the behind-the-scene episode idea somewhere (i.e. The ultimately scrapped idea). At the very least, "Let's Get Dangerous!" could have featured my man, but for what it ended up to be now, I am not complaining either.
Other than that, I want to see more interactions between the Duck Cousins, actually (i.e. Donald, Della, Gladstone, Fethry). With DT17 introducing Fethry (for which I will be forever grateful), the quartet (?) being together is something I would like to see more of. Especially with how extensive HDL and Webby has been interacting since literally the first episode of the show, I feel like it would be awesome seeing a grown-up version of this group in the Duck Cousins.
(Perhaps an episode of the 2 groups hanging out together? Moonvasion is the closest there is to something like this)
There are some interactions between the 4 of them, noticeably the Moonvasion mentioned above, and The Last Adventure. But ultimately there could have been more potential, which might have been limited by Gladstone's and Fethry's little screentime (as much as they are part of the Duck Family, both of them are ultimately guest characters).
That being said, this is purely my subjective feeling. If truly implemented into the show, the Duck Cousins thing would be a bonus instead of a missing piece or missed opportunity (e.g. No Della - Gyro interaction whatsoever, despite the rocket-building manual and Oxychew. And I say this not as a shipper). So, just my personal opinion.
#Once again really sorry for the wait#And thank you for the ask#I really appreciate it#You may see my activity this year is super wonky and inconsistent as well#I know I have said this a thousand times#But I am slowly getting more active again#Really can't make any promises at this point but I will keep on trying#Hope this answer finds you well (better than I am at least)#infodump

#I have Ideas(TM) on how I would want to handle the island scene #which in turn bleed into 'ideas on how I'd remake the show if I could'
#okay wait bestie where's your tangent analysis @justaboot
And that's all you needed to say in order to get me into full tangent mode so buckle up, I have no idea where this is gonna go!
(Posted as its own thing and put under a cut because hoo boy it is long- seriously, open at your own risk)
First thing's first- I'd make it so that Della's attempts to evade the pursuing Moonlander ship lead to both the Sunchaser and the Moonlander crashing on the deserted island. This would be so that the 'comedy' aspect necessary could be largely carried by a third party -a very confused Moonlander who is pretty sure that none of this is healthy- which would allow for the main cast to focus less on having to become comic relief. And I'd also have it happen for one other reason (which will become quite relevant later).
But the biggest thing I think about the island scene is that it had a lot that it wanted to do (show the twins interacting again for the first time in ten years, show that Della really isn't as okay as she'd like to admit, wrap up Louie's arc, allow the kids to interact with Donald again for the first time since the beginning part of the season), and didn't really have a bunch of time to do it in.
So to change that, I would make the deserted island scene it's own full episode. (Which would subsequently mean changing Moonvasion from a two-episode finale into a final arc- which would still really start with Timephoon).
It would allow for it to cover a lot more, go into more depth with the characters and their interactions with each other, starting with...
Della and Donald's first interaction with each other to be fighting. That'd be a very big part of what I'd want the episode to be about.
They're both exhausted, traumatized, angry, relieved, scared- they've got a whole cocktail of emotions brewing inside of them and they're just so tired of it all.
The episode before The Island would basically end with Della and the kids crashing onto the island and having Donald enter screen. It'd also end with Scrooge and the gang having 'beaten' Lunaris (thanks in large part to Fethry and Gladstone having shown up just in time), which, again, will become relevant later.
The episode would start in largely the same way as the island scene but a little more drawn out, with Donald and Della just sort of stuck in a 'is this actually real? Did I die and just not notice it?' trance before the kids snap them out of it.
And once they do, once they finally approach each other for the first time in ten years and the kids are all waiting with baited breath to see what'll happen... they don't fight.
Not at first.
They also don't cry and hug each other either. They just- greet each other. Awkwardly. Stilted, like they've forgotten how to act around each other. (And they haven't, but they're so scared, they don't want to ruin things and everything is going wrong and they don't want this to go wrong and after so long apart are they even the same people anymore?) So they to be polite, like 'How are you? What's happening? Why are you here? It's good to see you, how's life been?'
And of course the kids would think it's weird- they're twins, and yet they're acting like complete strangers around each other!
But as the conversation progressed, things would start to get more heated. 'Why weren't you around? Why didn't you try to find me? Why'd you leave Scrooge? Why didn't you send any messages? Why didn't you tell the kids about me?' Before they knew it, it'd turn into a full-on screaming match, ten years of pain and regret and loneliness and 'why did you leave?' all forcing it's way to the forefront, unable to be held back because of all the pain running through everybody's minds right now.
And the big difference comes in in that they wouldn't stop fighting. They wouldn't suddenly go 'I missed you' and have everything be okay. The kids would step in and pull the two of them away from each other, so that they wouldn't end up fighting while they've got a hostage (the Moonlander, whom the kids -namely Webby- would've tied up in the background during the whole fight) to talk to.
The moonlander explains what's happening as they're interrogated, and the kids start making plans to get off the rock. Della immediately objects, saying that they need to stay put, and looks to Donald for backup (after all, she knows her brother, right? After everything they've been through, and everything the kids have said about him, she knows that he'll probably advocate for the kids staying out of danger, too).
And Donald instead sides with the kids (which hammers home that Donald has indeed changed to Della). They need to get off the island and go help. And immediately they start making plans to fix the Sunchaser to fly out.
To which Della still objects. Much more heartily, this time. Everyone's a little concerned at the heat to her objections, which she brushes off by insisting that everything's fine, that they're all fine here, that Scrooge has it handled, that they're safer here, that they can't leave her behind, that all their needs will be taken care of, that all these thoughts of bravado and being able to leave in the first place are just going to hurt and they should just give up now, that they're obviously just delirious from lack of oxygen and should change out their Oxy-Chew, she has some spares in her pocket that they can use if they...
Oh, no.
And everything would come crashing down around Della in that moment. It'd click in a really ugly way for her- she's not on the moon anymore. She isn't.
And yet, she's still acting like she is. And has been the entire time- she stopped acting like 'Della' and she doesn't know when, but she realizes that every time something's happened since she came back she's first reverted to 'Moon Della' problem-solving than anything else.
And that'd be overwhelming in and of itself, and including the fact that the sun is glaring down overhead and the kids are staring at her like she's grown a second head (like she's been afraid of ever since coming back) the fact that she doesn't actually know if Scrooge will be alright or not and that's killing her inside (it would've been so much nicer if she could've grabbed him and loaded him on the Sunchaser as well) the fact that Donald is staring at her with that concerned look that she was sure she'd never see again (it's been so, so long)- it's all too much. She needs space.
So she runs away. Deeper into the deserted island, despite the cries of the rest of her family.
The episode would refrain from following Della in order to stick around with the kids and Donald. They all have some stuff to talk about after all, despite all of them being very worried about Della.
And they'd talk (I think they should all get to air out their grievances at their names at least a little), and hug, and try to decide what the next course of action will be. Most of them want to try and find Della, but Donald assures them that she'll be fine, and it'd be better to figure out how to get off this rock before they 'go and try to kidnap her to get her outta here' (He's still a little upset with her).
That being said, at least at the start all of them head out to go search for her as a group (and have a talk about how 'She's a lot different than you made her out to be'/'I don't think she's the same Della who left you behind'/'She really missed you'/'And I know you missed her too')
One by one, after they've said their piece to Donald (most of which are some variation of 'give her a break, she's been through a lot'), each member of the search party would fall back to the beach. They aren't getting anywhere, they need to get work, and they need to trust that Della will come back to them.
In the end it'd just be Donald and Louie, and Donald would mention something about how if Louie has something he'd like to say about the subject, it's okay if he wants to share it. Donald would be happy to hear it, even if it kinda hurts.
And Louie just shrugs and asks Donald what he would've said to them if he'd been there when Della returned. What he would've said if they'd had issues with her coming back and didn't know how to handle it.
Donald would say that he would've assured them that they didn't have to forgive her if they didn't want to. That just because she came back, just because she's sorry, just because she didn't want to hurt them, doesn't mean she didn't. And they're not required to forgive her- even if they do want her to be a part of their life.
And Louie would just say 'Then right back at ya. If you don't wanna forgive her, then don't. If you do wanna forgive her, then do. If it's more complicated than that, then let it be complicated.'
After that (and maybe a little bit of Donald hiding his tears) Donald would say that he should get back to the others to make sure they hadn't killed the hostage, but that he trusted Louie, and if he wanted to keep searching then he should.
Which Louie would do- and only a little bit after Donald left, he'd find Della. Alone in a small oasis, on her back, staring up into the sky.
Now going way back for a moment before continuing (you remember how I said this would bleed into 'how I'd change the show in entirety?'), something that'd be vaguely important to this scene would be a change to Glomtales.
Specifically (a 'canon change' that I've seen talked about on the internet before and gone 'ooh yes gimme' to) that Della didn't head out with the rest of the family on the adventure. Instead, she stayed behind with Louie while he was grounded- which would change a lot of the issues with Glomtales in my humble opinion.
It'd make it more interesting because it'd really hammer home just how alike Louie and Della are. Mainly by having her thwart his every escape attempt by always being one step ahead of him (because she knows the mansion, knows how she would attempt to escape, and knows the order she'd most likely do it in).
It'd also allow for them to have a talk in the Glomtales episode as well- because Louie pointed out in Timephoon that 'Hey, you did the exact same thing, you know' and it would have been really really great to have had Della be able to respond 'Yeah, I did. Look at how that turned out, kiddo.'
She would've sat him down around the end and explained why she was so insistent that he needs to not keep messing around in the way he has been (because it reminds her way too much of how her childhood was and that didn't exactly lead to a healthy outcome), definitely also accidentally pull back the curtain just a tad on the fact that she is not okay (which would lead to Louie mostly just being concerned about her instead of listening), and would allow her to say, specifically-'Your family will always try to be there for you. We will always gladly be your safety net. But having the best safety net in the world means jack if you refuse to use it. And if you keep going doing what you're doing, you might end up in a place where we can't reach you.' (Which, sidenote: I think is what they were attempting to get across in the show, but just kinda fucked up at.)
And largely Louie wouldn't really take what she said into consideration until The Richest Duck in the World, where he'd very quickly find himself in exactly the position Della described.
Anyways, all that said, going back to The Island. Louie finding Della, alone, not doing the greatest.
And Louie would do what Louie would do. He'd head over, lie down right next to her, and make some dumb quip, which she'd snort at and return. ('Seems a little difficult to stargaze in the middle of the day.' | 'Hah- after the moon, any 'starry night sky' on earth just looks completely blank.')
And they'd finally talk. Della would get to explain how she didn't see this coming, and how much that sucks. And Louie would be like well it's not your fault Lunaris is a conniving ass, but Della would shake her head. It's not that she didn't see this betrayal coming (well, she didn't, but honestly at this point in her life it wasn't much of a surprise), but how she didn't see- this. Herself. Breaking.
She never saw this coming. Maybe she just hadn't been looking, but she never could've believed that she'd break like this. That she'd carry this- weight around, even after the moon. (She'd escaped the moon, after all. She really thought she'd be able to leave it all behind.)
She was Della Duck, for crying out loud. She always claimed that nothing could stop her, and yet- here she was. Unable to move on.
And Louie would agree. She couldn't move on- not by herself, at least. But what was it she'd told him, again? 'Family was a great safety net, but only if you actually used it' or something like that?
There was no shame to be found in breaking sometimes. You couldn't be expected to keep moving forever, without any breaks, until the end of time. Hell, he broke all the time- and took breaks all the time too, which helped a lot.
And there was no shame in asking for help, either. In admitting that you cannot solve every problem on your own, that you can't see every problem on your own- sometimes stuff affects you in ways you'd never be able to catch on your own.
But she wasn't alone anymore. She had family. And she could break now (well maybe not now-now, since the world was kinda ending at the moment), let herself shatter. And they'd all be here to help her pick up the pieces.
Della would 100% be in tears by this point, and Louie would bust out the song for her and Della would finish it (because that's just a beautiful scene), and Louie would get to explain to her after she asks that Donald sang it to them every night when they were little.
And that would be what finally gets her up and ready to head back. Ready to talk to her brother again, to face the world.
So the two would head back to the beach, where the Sunchaser is still kind of in disarray (without Launchpad around, none of them know how to fix it quickly), though the Moonlander has managed to get the rocket in pretty much tip-top shape by this point.
The kids notice that Della's back first, and immediately run to give her a hug (she apologizes profusely to them for her 'episode' back there, and promises not to react so poorly to one should it happen again), then back off to let her and Donald talk again.
And, again, they're back to that- awkward stage. They've forgotten how to interact with each other.
Della makes an effort to resolve this by lightly punching him on the shoulder. 'You refused to tell 'em anything about me, but you sang my song for them every night, huh?'
And Donald would snort and bandy back. 'Well hey, it was a good song. ...And even if I couldn't manage to talk about you, I thought they deserved to know a part of you, at least.'
And finally (finally), it'd come crashing down for both of them. Della was back. Donald was back. After ten (well more like eleven but who's counting) long years, they were finally back together.
Cue the waterworks. They'd immediately launch into a hug that looked like they were trying to squeeze the air out of each other, blubbering unintelligibly all the while.
Then the scene would be cut short by a loud booming noise. Off hundreds of miles out in the distance, the large Moonlander mothership would be seen blasting up, up, up into space.
And they'd breathe a sigh of relief (and maybe a little disappointment from the kids). Apparently things had been resolved while they were away. Lunaris was retreating. They were okay.
And then the mothership would turn around. And everyone's stomach would drop.
And that would lead into the final (or maybe penultimate if I wanted to be really self-indulgent) episode of the arc, which would start with the end of the episode before the island- Lunaris's defeat at the hands of Scrooge (well really Glomgold, Gladstone, Fethry, and Mitzy). The group is celebrating, momentarily not paying as much attention as they should. Lunaris takes the opportunity to run back to the ship and launch it into space. Everyone's like 'ah damn, wish we hadn't let him get away, but still- a victory's a victory.' At least, until the ship turns and they realize that he's going to try and do a suicide run into the earth. Which is good for absolutely nobody.
And as they realized this, a battered Moonlander radio that had fallen out of one of the ships nearby would start blinking.
Back on the island, the group would be freaking out. What could they do? What was gonna happen? The earth was doomed, everything they did, everything they tried to do- all for nothing.
And Della would look to the fixed up Moonlander ship, steady her shaking hands, and move towards it. And Donald would notice, understand exactly what she was going to do, and immediately run to object.
And they'd have an argument that, while we never saw the first, mirrors the last fight they had before Della went up into space the first time. Which Donald would hint towards by saying stuff like 'I just got you back, I can't lose you again!'
But Della would manage to cut him off eventually. This time was different. She wasn't running away. She knew the risks, she knew that this probably wouldn't end well.
There'd be a whole argument of 'It's the only thing we can do! Would you really be willing to let the whole world die for one person?' 'Yes!' 'Then what about the kids?'
Complete silence.
Della would tell Donald that she knew what he'd pick. If it was between her or the kids, she knew who he'd choose, every time. Even if it would kill him each time. Hence why she wasn't making him choose.
She'd then look over his shoulder and ask the kids if they'd ever seen what the stars looked like outside of the city. When they'd mention that no, they hadn't, she'd offer to show them.
With strengthened resolve and clear minds, the group would all head into the ship and fly up, up, and up to go meet Lunaris's vessel.
But there'd be a complication. Maybe caused by the earth moving out of orbit, maybe just pure coincidence, but as the Moonlander ship made its way into orbit, it'd slowly get harder and harder to see. To navigate. Maybe Della was just cursed, or maybe some force in the universe just really hated her guts- the second time she rocketed up out of earth, she was greeted by another cosmic storm.
But this time would be different. It had to be different- her whole family (obviously much more important than the world) was relying on her now. So instead of waiting, instead of trying to brave it herself- she immediately flips on the radio and tries to hail someone who could guide her through the storm.
And back on earth, Scrooge would pick up the blinking radio and his niece's voice would come out of it. Tinny and slightly shaking, but still putting on a brave face. As she says 'Hey, so promise not to be mad, but I might need your help,' he'd realize what's going on. It's happening again. His going to lose his whole family. Again.
Except- it wasn't happening again. Because this time it wasn't just him and Della. This time Donald was there. And Beakley. And Webby, and Huey, and Dewey, and Louie and Fethry and Gladstone and Launchpad and even Glomgold for crying out loud!
It wasn't just two people acting like they were gods this time. It was a whole group, a whole family, with a mission.
Since the mothership touched down close to the Money Bin, Scrooge could quickly get the remains of the earth team to the long unused command module. A little bit of blowing off dust and very shoddy science, and they could get it working- mostly.
It was nothing fancy, nothing wonderful, but all their heads combined they could figure out a way to track the mothership through the cosmic storm, and lead the space team to it.
What would follow would be a bit of a cat-and-mouse game between the mothership and the Duck ship, with the cosmic storm acting as cover and sort of a mask for both ships. They'd both be flying blind- but the Ducks would have the earth team to guide them. (Mostly Scrooge and Beakley, though Gladstone, Fethry, and Launchpad would help as well- Glomgold not so much. He would be trying, though, and that's gotta count for something, right?)
And all combined, they'd manage to do a decent job! They'd deal significant damage to the mothership, especially when taking into account just how small their ship is in comparison.
But even with all of that, disaster would still strike. In the form of a lightning bolt from the storm getting a lucky shot and frying their systems, leaving them dead in space (it would be specified that it was only temporary, though- the Moonlanders had built in backup systems that'd take over should a cosmic storm fry them after Della told them her tale). Which would already be bad enough- and then the storm would clear.
Granted, that would bring momentary relief to Della (flying through it would not be comfortable for her for pretty much the entire time) it would quickly be replaced by dread. Because without the cover, without the engines- they're sitting Ducks. Lunaris would very easily end them.
Thankfully though, it would end very similarly to how the Moonvasion ended regularly: Penumbra would come flying in at the last moment (in the original Spear of Selene, no less) and blow up the ships engines, momentarily leading to a tense moment where it seems like she died- then she slams onto the window of the Ducks' ship, and it'd be okay.
For the space team, at least. When their systems were fried momentarily, they'd also lose the radio. So earth team -specifically Scrooge- would have to sit in anticipation and dread as it really did seem like everything was going wrong exactly like it did last time.
And then the radio would blip back on, the signal would come back, and the earth team would rejoice. Everyone would rejoice- the earth would get pushed back into position, the space team would land back at the mansion and everyone would get to have a 'We Just Successfully Averted the End of World and Nobody Died! Thank Fuck!' Party.
(And if I was being really self-indulgent -which I totally haven't been already- I would make the 'holy shit we actually made it' party it's own final episode, maybe with a little bit of the 'fighting the big bad mothership' part for the beginning.
It'd actually largely be after most of the other people had left or had passed out in one of the guest rooms, and would be a bit of a mirror to the first episode of the season- Game Night. But this board game night would be -relatively- more chill, and just a thing focusing on what the Duck-McDuck family does to cool down after a large adventure like that.)
So yeah that's like- a little bit of my tangent of 'How I Would Change Ducktales If I Wanted To Make It A More Dramatic And Plot-Heavy Show'
If you got this far I hope you enjoyed it (and I feel real sorry for you if you didn't)
TL;DR: I'd make it so that the Moonvasion finale was instead a final arc, and I'd make The Island a full episode in its own right. I'd also make it so that they fly up to meet Lunaris in a space fight right after The Island, leaving Scrooge and the other cousins to guide them through a cosmic storm
#this is honestly just one of the many things i'd change#I also have feelings on the final twist of s3#I'm cool with it because it opens up a lot of potentials and that's all I really care to ask for from a finale#that said#storytelling-wise#it was handled poorly and rather abruptly#it purposefully removed a lot of nuance from the conversation in order to try and hammer home its point to the younger audience#but in turn made it so that when trying to add nuance back into it it can risk coming across as the opposite of what it was trying to say#...which is something that can kinda be said for a lot of the messages ducktales tried to get across but i digress#(removing nuance from a conversation really just serves to make it more difficult to understand)#(if you haven't heard the conversation a hundred times before)#ducktales#dt17#della duck#donald duck#season 2#moonvasion#long post

Happy 90th Birthday Donald Duck! - Donald Duck and his family and friends - Tribute to Don Rosa (Happy belated birthday to Don Rosa) - The Duck Who Never Was - My redraw - Duck comics - Duckverse
I know it's past Donald's birthday, but I don't care, because this year is a whole year dedicated to him, because this year the most popular duck is celebrating his 90th birthday this year. So if someone tells me why I'm dedicating his birthday to him now, even though it's passed, please shut up, this is definitely dedicated to the best duck in the world and I have the right to draw related to him. By the way, I drew tributes related to his birthday before, so check out my previous drawings.
By the way, even though his birthday passed a month ago, I definitely wanted to dedicate this drawing to one of my favorite comic artists and writers, Don Rosa, who celebrates his birthday on June 29th because he was born on that date in 1951. Don Rosa wrote and drew comics mostly related to Scrooge McDuck, but also dedicated something related to Donald Duck. A special comic is "The Duck Who Never Was" from June 9, 1994, which is dedicated to the 60th birthday of Donald Duck, where Donald thinks that everyone has forgotten about his birthday, so he miraculously went to another universe where he does not exist and it can be said that it doesn't work at all without it. In the end, Donald returns to his world and is surprised that his beloved family and friends threw him a great birthday party. It's one of my favorite Don Rosa comics.
Yes, I drew as a redraw those final scenes from that comic, so I drew it in my own way, and I apologize to Don Rosa, since I added some characters, and also did some of my own version of characters from the Duckverse. Daisy kisses her Donald, and besides them there are also Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Daisy's nieces April, May and June Duck (Dutch version), Donald's uncle Scrooge McDuck, Donald's grandmother Grandma Duck (Elvira Coot), Donald's cousins Gladstone Gander, Gus Goose, Fethry Duck, Donald's best friends Gyro Gearloose, Little Helper, Jose Carioca (José Zé Carioca) and Panchito Pistoles. Yes, added Fethry and the two caballeros because they somehow don't make a real Donald family without them in my opinion. And instead of the 60th birthday, I added Donald Duck's 90th birthday on the banner held by Donald's nephews and Daisy's nieces. Yes, and the 30th anniversary of this comic. I hope you like this idea and this drawing and my remake of that comic, even though I know it's against the Don Rosa rules. Sorry.
I hope you like this drawing and this idea and feel free to like and reblog this if you like it, just don't use these same ideas of mine without mentioning me! Thank you! Also, here's a happy 90th birthday to Donald Duck (who celebrates on June 9th) and a happy birthday to Don Rosa (who celebrates on June 29th) and the beginning of summer, which is celebrated on June 21st! Happy birthday to the best duck who deserves the best! :D And this is a gift for all of you who love this duck and his family!
