Seungmin leaned back against the couch in the dorm's living room, scrolling through his phone while Han and Felix' voices echoed around him (Chan and Han are visiting).

He knew it was only a matter of time before someone brought it up—the picture Han had sent earlier in the group chat.

Sure enough, Han entered the room with a smug grin, holding his phone like a prize.

"So," Han started, his voice dripping with mischief, "did lunch go well, Romeo?"

Seungmin barely looked up. "It was fine, thanks for asking."

"Fine?" Han pressed, plopping down beside him. "That didn't look like fine. You looked like you were on cloud nine. And walking her back to the editing department? Very gentlemanly of you."

Felix, who was lounging on the other side of the room, chimed in. "I thought you said you were too busy for this kind of thing. Guess Y/N is the exception?"

Seungmin sighed, finally putting his phone down. "You guys are exhausting."

Bang Chan appeared from the kitchen, wiping his hands on a towel. "Cut him some slack. It's not every day Seungmin willingly spends his lunch break with someone other than us."

"Exactly," Han said, leaning forward dramatically. "Which is why we need details! Is this serious? Are we getting wedding invites soon?"

Seungmin groaned, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "No one's getting wedding invites. We're just… getting to know each other. That's all."

"But you like her," Felix said, his tone more sincere now.

Seungmin was taken aback, his sarcasm faltering for a moment. "Yeah," he admitted softly. "I do. But I'd appreciate it if you guys didn't make a big deal out of it."

"Alright," Bang Chan said with a nod. "We'll tone it down. Just don't mess it up, okay?"

Seungmin smirked, his confidence returning. "Who do you think you're talking to?"

Chan puts his hands up in defense "I believe you. Also, that’s not a word, Han."

“What?” Han looked up from his phone.

“Gentlemanly isn’t a word.” Chan said, walking back to the kitchen to finish putting the dishes away.

You were midway through reviewing a batch of footage when your phone buzzed on the desk beside you. Glancing around to make sure no one was looking, you opened the notification.

You blinked, rereading the message. Dinner? At the dorm? The idea made your pulse quicken. You hesitated for a moment, fingers hovering over the keyboard.

You smiled, the excitement bubbling beneath your nerves.

By the time you arrived at the dorm, the sun had started to set, casting a warm, orange glow over the city.

Seungmin greeted you at the door, his usual sarcastic grin firmly in place.

"Perfect timing," he said, stepping aside to let you in. "You get to help me not burn the kitchen down."

You had raised an eyebrow, slipping off your shoes. "So, you don't actually know how to cook? Thought it was just an act for lives."

"I know enough," he replied, leading you to the kitchen. "Besides, cooking's more fun with company."

You two had worked side by side, chopping vegetables and debating over how much seasoning was too little and too much.

Seungmin's confidence in the kitchen quickly wavered as he overcooked the rice, but his commentary kept you laughing the whole time.

"You know," you teased, stirring the pan of chicken, "for someone who claims to be talented, you're not doing much."

"I'm supervising," he shot back, leaning against the counter with a smirk. "And you're doing great."

"Uh-huh," you replied, rolling your eyes but smiling anyway.

The meal finally came off all right, considering the hiccups throughout the operation.

You sat opposite each other at the small table in the kitchen.

The simple dinner felt weirdly more special than any nice restaurant could have managed to make it.

The conversation, as you ate, moved from light banter to something a bit more personal.

"Do you always make time for things like this?" you asked, nodding toward the table.

Seungmin shook his head, his expression softening. "Not really. Life moves too fast most of the time. But… I guess I'm trying to make more time for things that matter."

The weight of his words hung in the air as they swelled your heart.

"I'm glad you did," you said in a hushed tone.

He looked into your eyes, for once not smirking but something softer. "Me too."

The silence between you was a comfortable one, the type that didn't need to be filled.

The sound of the opening front door shattered that silence, and Seungmin slumped. "Of course."

Before you could ask, Han's voice boomed from the hallway. "Seungmin! Did you make enough for us, or is this a private dinner?"

Seungmin groaned, muttering, "Why are they like this?"

Felix poked his head into the room, grinning when he saw you. "Oh, hi, Y/N!"

Han followed, smirking. "See, I told you she'd show up again."

Seungmin stood, blocking their view of you. "Don't you guys have somewhere else to be?"

"Nope, we already dropped Chan off," Han replied cheerfully. "But don't mind us. We'll leave you two lovebirds alone…for now."

Seungmin shot you an apologetic look as they retreated to Felix's room, still laughing.

As the evening wore on, Seungmin walked you to the door, his hands tucked into his pockets.

"Sorry about them," he said, his voice low. "They don't know when to stop."

You smiled, brushing it off. "It's fine. They're funny."

The tension that lay between you both swelled in the silence; for what felt like an eternity, neither of you spoke, finally, Seungmin leaned closer, his look all hesitant and hopeful "Thanks for coming tonight. I know it wasn't exactly Michelin-star dinner, but-"

"It was perfect," you manage, soft.

His lips fold into a small smile. You lean in before any more rational thoughts can interfere with your actions and press a soft, delicate kiss to his lips.

It was quick but enough to render both of you a little breathless.

Seungmin blinked, frozen for a moment before a soft laugh escaped him.

"You really like catching me off guard, don't you?"

"Maybe," you said, smiling as you stepped back.

"Wish I could drive you back." He softly says, looking into your eyes.

"Can't risk us getting caught can we?Goodnight, Seungmin." You replied.

"Goodnight," he said, his voice warm.

APHMAU SHALASHASKA

- aphmau shows up at phoenix drop’s doorstep pretty much half dead. no one knows where she came from, and upon waking up she doesn't remember who she is, where she's from, nothing.

- vylad carried her here because he knew that garroth was stationed in phoenix drop and he knew that the village was in dire need of help due to it being lordless; however it doesnt get revealed until way later.

- aphmau gets carried into the guard station which is where she resides for a period of time. zoey, who was visiting phoenix drop at the time (she was a wandering 'merchant' of sorts, looking for a permanent place to stay) feels a weird presence coming from her, not magical but also not normal, and decides to prolong her stay, healing aphmau back to health with garroth's supervision.

- aphmau wakes up and is sooo grateful they took care of her and decides that as payment she’s going to help make this mess of a village better (also she has no memory of anything that happened prior or why she ended up here anyway, so it’s not like she has anywhere else to go.)

- so she fixes up the roads and helps remodel some of the houses (i feel like this version of aphmau is much less princess-like and more handy than canon aph) garroth is very grateful for this

- anyway uh i dont actually have a lot of stuff for her since i find aphmau to be somewhat bland?? ig thats bc aph is meant to be jess for the majority of s1 but yeah uhh that needs to change. this aphmau is more rough around the edges, not afraid to fend for herself and those she cares for, but also very kind and compassionate. also very bubbly at times, but around those she trusts. she’s actually kind of against the idea of having guards follow her around all the time when she first becomes lord (because she believes she can do everything on her own), but later realizes that its much better to have backup bc the world is dangerous tm

- anywayz she grows closer to zoey when she moves into her house. she finds her presence weird at first but quickly gets used to her company, and she finds that waking up to the smell of tea everyday is soothing

- she is often sent out to the woods to gather whatever herbs zoey needs for her magicks. this quickly turns into aphmau trying to find pretty flowers to bring back to her pretty wife as a gesture of love friendship. sometimes she gets scolded bc she unknowingly brings back poisonous flowers or something but zoey knows that she does it with the best of intentions and thinks its kinda cute in a way.

- also aphmau brings back zoey pretty items from her travels, usually rings, necklaces, or even pretty rocks. zoey keeps them all in her room and looks at them while working on magicks stuff

- sorta angsty but i feel like aphmau definitely feels guilty for being absent for most of levin and malachi’s childhood. way in the future i feel like she and zoey would either adopt or have a biological kid of their own that they can both be present for, now that aphmau is no longer a lord and zoey is just enjoying her last lifetime with her beloved wife.

- OH AND i find it funny that they end up together since, at least in my canon, irene and zoey were a thing way back when. so like after irene left this plane or whatever and reincarnated as aphmau its like zoey and irene found themselves again in another lifetime (more on that in zoey’s section, which i actually wrote first)

- god i really don’t have much to say abt aph lol uh she’s bisexual (fem leaning, which is why she doesn’t rlly feel anything for garroth or laurence but does get flustered around guys sometimes) and demiromantic (takes a WHILE for her to feel any romantic attraction. again its why she doesn’t feel anything for G and L LMAO)

ZOEY TALTATHEIL

- was a devout follower and close friend of irene 900 years ago. zoey, although she wasn’t part of the divine warriors, was irene’s right hand woman, and would help her with decisions etc etc.

- she was kind of like a guard but not really lol. i do feel as though she began to mess around with barrier magicks as a way to protect irene, despite the fact that it got her exhiled from her home. she’d do anything to protect her.

- they were overall very close, but due to circumstances tm they had to separate. they never saw each other again sadly

- (although there are some books written by scholars that state that at some point lady irene had a certain lady friend who she lived with and shared intimate moments with. wonder who that is :P)

- ((also irene did have a family at some point, and levin is of her bloodline. he has blonde hair and blue eyes, guess who else has blonde hair and blue eyes? garroth ZOEY (and yes also garroth but thats a coincidence imo) so i think they are at least distantly related but very much so regardless))

- enough about irene. in zoey’s long 900~ year life she’s travelled to many regions, learned about many different cultures, and met many people, some who she did settle down with at some point. due to her immortality, however, she outlived all her previous partners and since then has been afraid to settle down with anyone, afraid of losing them to time

- it wasn’t until she met aphmau and levin (and later malachi) that she began to change her mind. she began to raise her children when she was away on lord duties, and she got VERY attached to them. she treated them as her own, and soon became accustomed to the idea of having a family

- she also began to see aphmau in a more romantic light at some point during s1. she didn’t know when the change from platonic to romantic feelings began but it didn’t matter. what mattered was that she had been raising another woman’s children as though they were her very own, cooking for the 4 of them like a happy family, and literally living the life she had always wanted without even realizing it.

- anyways she sleeps with aphmau in her room despite having her own room. she uses her room more as a workspace for her magicks

- also (and this is less about zoey and more about elves in general) i feel as though elves start out with dark colored hair and with the years it slowly lightens up until it’s completely white (doesn’t matter what color; zoey’s just happened to be blonde which is why she has platinum blonde hair pre-timeskip. it obviously doesn’t change this fast, but zoey giving up her immortality did speed up the process by a LOT which is why the change was so drastic in such a small amount of time (for an elf))

- speaking of her immortality, i feel as though it was the main reason that drove her to, you know, actually become a thing with aphmau. they were practically married pre-timeskip but they never really mentioned it, both scared they’d ruin what they had. aphmau being trapped in the irene dimension was the thing that drove her to spend years of her life studying, trying to get her closest friend, no, her lover back; losing her immortality was the final push to make it official. losing her immortality mean that they’d both pass within each other’s lifetimes, which is something zoey had always wanted (that sounds morbid but imagine being immortal and outliving all your loved ones.. i feel as though one can only take so much pain before it turns you crazy)

- anyways enough angst. since zoey has lived so long and has been all over the place, she has countless stories to tell and levin and malachi always loved hearing them. post-timeskip she tells the same stories to the children of phoenix drop in her spare time. she loves being around children and overall just loves caring for ppl ^__^

- as for like sexuality hcs uhh i can’t imagine her as anything but a lesbian lol

So your linework is awesome, a thing I often end up skimming over because I'm too engrossed by the story, but yeah. Do you have any tips about "white lines on black"? Because the "default" has been "black lines on white", which means "the lines show where the darker bits are", and it doesn't reliably work to just "draw with white lines the stuff I'd normally draw with black lines".

I've got many methods of how to draw on black with white. I know there are line art color changing tools but I don't use them. I want to draw as manually as I can so my tricks are never anything super awesome but just drawing lol.

The anon talking about publicity around bill and twigs, totally hear you, but they all knew what they were doing. They were kind and super fun together so naturally some media are going to use that for trashy click bait. not at all saying they were playing into speculation, they were being themselves. But Bill and twigs sat at a restaurant with a clear shot of them next to each other through a window, where they woudve known they’d get papped even if paps weren’t called by their PR to say they were there. I’m sure he doesn’t actually like doing things like that, but he did. He knows the drill, he just only does it sparingly. That movie needed a little of that type of press bc it had negative press already, and there wasn’t much else to play into. Nosfuratu didn’t need to have that strategy. Even if Lily was single they wouldn’t have had that strategy. Most of the pics we see of bill in the states are bc his team tells paps where he will be too, and that’s only when he has a movie to promote, not for personal reasons. A lot (not all) of pics we see where he’s signing for fans, that’s PR telling people where he will be to ensure there are some fans there as well and pics get released. Notice how they are mostly men looking for memorabilia autographs, most of those are then trying to get sold to other fans. Yes he has a huge male IT fan base, but that’s also a classic PR strategy. Paps and PR have lines to groups of ppl who they have identified are fans or will pose as fans even to make sure there are ppl at a certain spot and time. Bill plays the game, just a pretty classy game.

Also I get someone has apparently met everyone in Sweden and hates them all, and yes other countries nearby like Denmark and Norway have way better quality production overall for various reasons, but any skarsgard doing them isn’t a downgrade. Stellan has done them even recently. Mads M still does them for ex as well. They don’t do it getting paid the same as they would elsewhere, they knowingly choose to do them for other reasons than $ and agree to get paid a lot less. So do big Hollywood actors when they do low budget indies. I don’t want to see a S2 Clark either (what else is there to show anyway) but Jonas is a fairly big name either way and they are clearly tight. maybe they’ll end up doing something else together (I hope!).

And I have a huge list of excellent, well regarded TV and a few movies from all over the Nordic countries if anyone is interested :)

My Scene Instagram Profiles | Barbie 💅🏻💕

This is so fucking blurry I'm sorry, click on the pic for better quality. I was not about to miss the opportunity to post a Barbie-inspired My Scene IG profile on the same day the Barbie movie premiered, so here it is! This one was actually a bit harder to make. Obviously, Barbie is known for being hyperfeminine and pink-obsessed, however, I didn't feel like Barbie was always like that in My Scene. She was still pretty girly though and I wanted to make it true to her My Scene personality but still have it look cute. Eventually I just said "fuck it" and made most of the pics have some kind of pink in them because it would've felt boring as hell otherwise. You can't have Barbie without pink, that's just not a thing. I still tried to incorporate other aspects of her personality in My Scene, mainly her being a party girl and loving iced coffee lol. I'm pretty sure she was the one who planned Nolee's sweet 16 and also helped with that Masquerade Madness party. But yeah, happy Barbie movie premiere day! Make sure to watch it in theaters with your tackiest pink cowgirl hat bc that's what I'm doing. 💖

The above pic mainly focuses on the center part of the poster; but as you can see the left and right ones do not show on its fullest. I've found photos of both sides, though the quality is veeeery worse:

Like I've said, I'm still yet to find any decent picture of it, so this is all I have for now. But I hope it is a good start.

Also, if anyone's curious on researching by themselves... Be careful. Google images has this weird thing with japanese shopping products, where pictures of items in search results will lead to strange and VERY unrelated URLs. Some examples? The 1st pic was hosted on some site named "gokuburger.fr" (France?) , the 2nd in "rauquen.cl" (Chilean web domain) and the 3rd one in "Bodegas San Valero" (Zaragoza, Spain). Yeah, I have ZERO idea how those images got there. All I know is that I once clicked in a link similar to those and I got redirected with a page with a fake "Allow notifs" pop-up. I've managed to escape, but it is not worth the risk.

Lovingly bullies Yuichi. Auntie very much had to do the whole domesticating a feral kitten for all the ninja but especially with her.

Itsumi is sooo fun. She thinks Yuichi is an idiot and is frankly astonished he's still alive and that he's lived so long(she admires him, his kindness and determination). She tolerates him as he loves and cares for all the neko ninja orphans as little sisters (he loves and cares for her). Just. She was snarky and bossy and disbelieving. And it could have just been she was a brat kid and/or a bully. Or. Or It could be that she was always trying to be the loudest among them, speaking up and speaking out to get all the attention on her, "Look at me, look only at me, pay attention to me, ignore them, leave the others alone, they are not worth your time, focus on me." And disbelieving how Hanna actually got out of the crew because she needs to nip false hope in the bud to avoid getting hurt. Because while the other kittens sometimes have a confused or concerned expression, she had an angry or sceptical one. And she was always in front while the others were at her side and a step behind. She needs to be on the lookout, she needs to guide and protect the others because who else will? And Yuichi got them out. Sure Chizu and the others helped but Yuichi gave them a home. Tells them the best napping spots. Will tell them to try and find his hidden comics on their own, but will give hints(that aren't so much so hints but their exact locations) if he feels like they might be struggling even though they very much are definitely not. Pats their heads. Calls them imouto. Lends them his old clothes, gives them his childhood toys. Became their big brother. Goofy and more childish than them sometimes, but a good and caring older brother nonetheless.

Going from living with Lady Fuwa to living with Auntie on the farm.... They were always kept in the dojo, and depending on how young they were taken in never even remembered or knew what the sky looks like, and then its shown in the show that because of the bright lights of Neo Edo you can't see the stars, and then their first night at the farm, still disbelieving that they're truly free, together in a room because there's no way they feel comfortable enough to separate, and then looking out a window and seeing a sky, blue, dark, and covered in stars.

Itsumi chose new clothes that were blue, and yes it was to copy Yuichi (she will forever deny that) but also because blue is the color of freedom, the color of the samurai who held out his hand and tried to teach them to be good, the color of the sky overhead as you realize you are free to rest your head and not worry about a demon in red coming for you and your sisters family comrades, just. Peace.

She'll never admit that though, it's more tactical now, she'll say. The blue blends in better with the night sky now that the lights are off.

anyways hi its kenji/leia... whichever you want to use lmao today was just one of those days where i revisit old ocs i know i have but refuse to draw them after having a hardcore phase for them back then. it do be like that sometimes but tbh i think its for the best of me. so here's my main OCs featured in whatever nutcracker story i have, Holle (old musketeer lady), Dolokhov (the little guy), and Roscow (the one i'm morally afraid for).

id love to get back more into them and the story i had for 'em tbh, so... idk hmu with questions or comments !! idk its been a while since i've drawn them but i have a lot of stuff planned for them tbh.
