with all the power in oz
movie!fiyero x gn!reader, 2.2k words summary: the reader, rather anxious and studious, finds their self head-over-heels with none other than fiyero, supposed boyfriend to galinda upland. to placate this, they somewhat agree to meet him at the ozdust ballroom. a/n: YOU pronouns are used to address the reader, but there is no usage of y/n. just watched the movie today. tried to find a fic, couldn't. here I am writing one instead. reader worries a lot. so me. you're welcome. also, I'm going into this blind. I have unfortunately never seen the actual musical (downsides to living in the middle of nowhere) so I'm only going off based on wikis and the movie. it should be gn as I read through it like... five different times, but please let me know if I missed something!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Breathtaking. That's what he was. But could you truly refer to a man like him as breathtaking?
The very features that graced his face were absolutely mesmerizing, and you felt like a fool watching him at times. How could you not? He seemed so full of life, so full of... well, not a care in the world, really. It was as if he brushed everything off of his shoulders without hesitation.
You could only wished you were the same way.
No cares, no worries. How lovely that would have been.
No, you hold onto the things that happen to you as if you have no other way to live. You hold grudges, you think over things that happened years ago that no one could possibly remember.
For someone who wished to be a sorcerer, you had a hard time simply letting things go. Your emotions often got the better of you, even when you knew better. Even when you wished it could be the opposite. But perhaps that was the way of the world.
Not a man in Oz could tell you otherwise.
Books in hands, you crossed the path to your dormitory, brows cinched together in mild concentration.
You had a project in your history class, and an extensive paper to complete on the study of mathematics—of all the things you could have had, a paper in mathematics. You'd rather perform magic in front of the entire student body, but you couldn't.
As you walked, you heard your name come from behind you. Eyes flicker back, a soft frown on your lips. You see him—Fiyero. The one fool you meant to avoid with all the gumption within you.
You'd melt just being near him.
"Fiyero," you softly greet.
He gave you a charming smile, coming up to walk with you. "Heading back already?" he asked.
"I am."
"Working on the project, hm? We could work on it together if you'd like. I'm sure our minds could do wonders," he said, a playful wink coming from him.
"I'm fine," you simply said.
He blinked slowly, but his smile never wavered. "Come now," he said, your name leaving his lips rather sweetly. "Surely you're not going to spend the rest of your evening alone. Why don't you come to Ozdust tonight?"
You looked back at him, frowning. "Ozdust. Me. I don't think so, Fiyero."
"And why not? I'm sure you'd be as dashing as ever."
You stopped in your steps, eyes searching his for but a moment. "Dashing. Are you in earnest, Fiyero?"
"Yes," he said, smiling.
"And what of Galinda? You'll be with her. Why invite me?"
"She doesn't need to know. It's not her business," he said. "Besides, she will be busy with Elphaba. I'd much rather spend time with you."
"And I think you're just pulling my leg," you said defensively. You crossed your arms over your chest, careful to keep your books close.
"Pulling your leg? I haven't even touched you," he said, a cheeky grin on his lips. "Come now, don't play coy. You should come."
"And if I do?"
"Then I'll be quite happy."
You rolled your eyes and went to walk away.
A hand wrapped around your bicep, and you paused, glancing over your shoulder at him.
His eyes widened a bit and he dropped his hand, albeit hesitantly. Perhaps he didn't think he would actually reach out to you. He cleared his throat.
"I really would like you to be there. You'll have the time of your life."
"The time of my life," you repeated. "I don't think you realize how much I dread parties."
"Have you ever been to one?"
"No."
"Then how do you know you dread them?"
"I just know," you said. "I feel it in my bones. I know going will just get on my nerves."
He scoffed, placing his hands on his hips. "I think you're foolish for that," he said. "Come on. What are you losing? A couple hours to work on a project that you know you could finish in a morning session? You'll be fine. Come to the Ozdust tonight. I'll show you a good time."
You clenched your jaw. "I don't want—"
"—I would like you to be there. That is all. I won't ask again." He gave you another small smile before he looked away. "I'll see you around. Perhaps tonight?"
You stared him down. He would like to see you there? Was he being honest? And what of Galinda? Would he be going behind her back? Wasn't he madly in love with her, or something? Or was it the other way around?
He said your name once more, and you looked up at him, letting out a soft sigh.
"Right. Perhaps tonight," you softly said.
The smile on his lips was rather... hopeful than anything else. There wasn't anything smarmy by it. He seemed as genuine as the glint in his eye—the one he used when he spoke with anyone he trusted. At least, you hoped so.
Tumblr media
The night came quickly as you finished up your outfit—one you would hope you didn't look completely foolish in. The color you chose seemed to fit well with almost anything, but you still worried. You always worried about something.
Time was of the essence. You weren't even supposed to leave Shiz University's campus, but here you were, sneaking like some scoundrel.
Well, perhaps you were, listening to the requests of a man who already had a girlfriend—a fantastically beautiful one at that.
But you paid no mind. You did what you could, and soon, you found yourself walking down the steps of the Ozdust Ballroom.
Never had you been in a place like this. It was almost... breathtaking, had it not been for the overpowering smells of perfume and some kind of drink wafting from the bar. Your eyes flitted from patron to patron until you finally spotted him—Fiyero.
He looked just as handsome as ever.
Good Oz, what in the world were you doing? This was foolish.
You took a step back, staring at Fiyero for a moment as he spoke with another man, drink in hand. You needed to leave. This was ridiculous. You were ridiculous! Never in a thousand years would you ever imagine yourself to do such a thing—
"You made it!"
Fiyero's voice rang out above the music.
You look to him, eyebrows furrowed in frustration. Because of course he saw you as soon as you had decided to leave.
Fiyero smiled and made his way to you, taking your hands in his, drink left with the confused man behind him. Surely he didn't just up and leave in the middle of his conversation.
You part your lips and go to speak, but to your dismay, Fiyero is instant.
"I was afraid you had changed your mind," he said. "You look ravishing, darling."
Your eyes widened. Ravishing? You'd been called many things in your life, but never ravishing.
"Galinda couldn't make it?" you asked.
"Wha—no, she couldn't. But what of it? I didn't ask her to the Ozdust, I asked you. I'm glad to see your face."
Warmth blossomed in your cheeks as you watched him. "Fiyero, please... I shouldn't be here."
"Oh, nonsense," he said, grinning all the while. "Come. Dance with me."
"But I don't—"
"—do not say you don't dance. I can teach you."
"Teach me?"
"It's as easy as breathing," he said.
"For you, maybe, but not for—"
"—humor me," he said, smiling.
You pursed your lips. Of course he had to give you that charming smile and the sweet bat of his eyelashes.
"I do not dance," you repeated.
"I think I will be the judge of that."
He grabbed your hands once more and pulled you out into the ballroom floor, smiling all the while.
"You'll be a natural. I can just see it."
"I feel like if I were a natural, you wouldn't have to teach me," you said, gasping as he pulled you close to his chest. His face was dangerously close to yours, his eyes flickering from your eyes to your lips.
"You know," he began, eyes flickering back to your eyes. "We all start somewhere, do we not? You should know that better than anyone."
"What? What does that—"
He interrupted you by spinning you by your arm, back into his embrace. The music was rather ambient, not quite one for dancing so enthusiastically, but Fiyero embraced it. Hand to your hand, face close to your face.
"See? A natural."
"You merely spun me around, Fiyero. Do not be foolish."
"You could have fell flat on your face," he said, a boyish grin evident on his lips.
"Stop looking at me like that," you defiantly said. "You are far too close to me for my liking."
"Oh, feisty, are we?" he asked, moving his body along to the music and forcing you to go along, too. You nearly stepped on his toes several times. "I do not think there is anything wrong with the way I'm looking at you. You're rather breathtaking, if I may."
Breathtaking. The same way you had described him only hours before. He wasn't a mind reader, was he?
No.
Of course not. That was foolish. He was merely a man. Nothing of great importance—no power within him other than the power he held in every single eyelash as they batted down at you, making you melt over and over again.
"What of Galinda?" you repeated.
"What of her?"
"You shouldn't be calling someone who isn't yours breathtaking. It's quite..."
"There is nothing wrong with admiring the beauty in front of me," he said, your name playfully leaving his tongue. "Look at me. Galinda and I are only friends."
You rolled your eyes. "Do not lie to me."
His eyes widened a bit. "Lie? I do not lie. We are friends and nothing more. Though I do believe she thinks differently..."
"She must," you said, huffing softly.
"But that does not make it true. I have eyes for someone else."
"Eyes for someone else?"
He tilted his head once more. He was rather endearing when he did that.
"Who did I ask to their very first party?" he asked, smiling. "It's quite a feat, isn't it? Afraid you wouldn't show, and then you do, questioning me and everything I stand for, hm?"
Warmth found its way to your cheeks once more. You looked away from him. With the crescendo of the music, Fiyero pulled you closer, fingers lacing with yours. His lips hover dangerously close to yours.
"You know, if you would just give it a chance, perhaps you and I could make some magic of our own."
You let out a curt laugh. "You—oh, good Oz, I hope you never use that line on anyone! Has that worked for you before?"
He gave a cheeky smile. "It seems like it's working on you."
"Absolutely not!"
"Not even a little!"
"No!"
His smile only seemed to grow. "Truly?"
You looked away, swallowing thickly. "I mean... no. Not even a little. Not at all."
"You're lying," he said.
"I am not."
"I do think I know what I'm talking about," he said, leaning forward and pressing a soft kiss to the soft skin of your cheek. "Come now," he said. "Stop with the lies."
You looked up at him, a soft huff escaping you.
"Fine. I lied. It may or may not be working. But it's not just because of what you said."
"Oh? Are you saying you like me for more than my suave words?"
"Suave words? Who in Oz said they were suave?"
He just smiled, his eyes flickering to your lips once more. "Do you think instead of just a dance, I could try something more?"
"Try what?"
"I think you know."
You blinked slowly at him, your fingers gently gripping onto his tunic. Your lips part in mild surprise, but you realize that you shouldn't have been. He'd been eyeing you the entire evening.
"Very well," you softly said.
"Wonderful," he replied, and in a swift motion, he pressed his lips to yours. It was short as he pulled back almost as soon as he had kissed you, but it was enough to keep you wanting more.
"Fiyero, that wasn't—"
"—come with me," he softly said, lacing his fingers with yours once more. "Somewhere without so many prying eyes, yes?"
Your answer was almost instant: "Yes."
Fiyero led you back up the staircase, and he didn't look back once at the ballroom.
"Where are we going?" you asked.
"Somewhere where I can see you and only you," he said. "If that's alright."
"Oh," you softly said. "Yes. That's alright."
"Then follow me," he said. "Do you trust me?"
You smiled sincerely for one of the first times in the evening. Did you trust him? What kind of foolish question was that? If you had the chance, you'd do whatever he'd ask of you. You found your answer rather quickly, knowing within yourself that it was far truer than any other statement you had ever uttered.
"With all the power in Oz."

The two of you were sitting across from one another as the cameras had begun rolling and Joe was all smiles as he stared back at you which made your face instantly heat up and a laugh escaped from your mouth.
“Why are you laughing? We haven't even started yet!” Joe asked you as he also started laughing.
“Because you're staring at me!”
“So, I can’t look at my wife anymore? Where do you want me to look? The floor?”
“I didn't say that!”
“Are you going to laugh the entire time? How are we supposed to get through the questions?”
“As long as you're on your best behavior we shouldn't have a problem.” You told him as you shuffled the cards in your lap.
“I think that you need to take your own advice. Anyway, I'm Joe Burrow and this is my wife….”
“Y/N Chase-Burrow.”
“I… since when is your name hyphenated? That isn't on your driver’s license.” Joe asked you with a confused look on his face.
“It’s not. I just did that for dramatic effect. And to see you make that face.” You answered with a smile as Joe gave you a blank stare.
“See, she’s starting already.”
“I'm definitely asking you all the hard questions.” You told him and he scoffed.
“And I know that I'm going to get them all right.” Joe replied as he winked at you, making your face heat up once more.
“We have to get through this in one sitting so stop looking at me like that! Okay, first question. I'll go easy on you and then they'll get harder.”
“I'm listening…” Joe told you as he sat up straighter in his chair.
“What's my full name?”
“Seriously? Y/N Katherine Chase-Burrow. You're named after your grandmother on your mother's side.”
“I thought you said my name wasn't hyphenated?” You asked as you eyed him.
“I… you said it first so I just repeated it. Next question, please.”
“Okay, where was I born?”
“Harvey, Louisiana. You were born at 3:36 in the morning while your twin was born at 3:39 even though you swear your parents found him in a dumpster behind Popeyes.”
“That’s my story and I'm sticking to it. And look at you trying to get extra brownie points. I didn't even know you knew what time that I was born.”
“I have my sources.”
“The sources being my mother, but moving on. What is my secret hidden talent?” You asked Joe and he was about to say something, but stopped.
“And keep this PG Burrow! I see you over there smirking.”
“I… you know what? I'm not even going to go there. Your hidden talent is that you're a really good baker. You don't do it as much as you did when we were at LSU, so when you do I tend to eat the entire thing.”
“Good job, baby. That's the one that I was thinking about. Okay, what's my favorite meal?”
“You don't really have one. But if I had to choose it's chicken parm. Now if we're talking cheat meals, you love tacos and pizza.”
“My husband knows me like the back of his hand.”
“I told you that I would get each one right.”
“Calm down, we aren't done yet.” You told him and he made a face at you.
“What's my favorite song to dance to around the house?”
“Juvenile, Back That Ass Up. Cash money taking over for the 99 and the 2000's.” Joe replied without hesitation, making you laugh.
“Still remember Erin and Alisha requesting that at our wedding reception.” He added as you went to the next card.
“How many Olympic medals do I have?”
“Four because my wife is amazing.”
“Aww. And what was the music that I used that has been my all time favorite floor routine that I did at LSU?”
“It was between the Prince or Beyoncé medley.”
“What was our first date?”
“Officially or unofficially? I feel like this could be a trick question.”
“Hmm, unofficially.”
“It was the day after we first met and we went on a breakfast date and we talked about how nervous I was going from a backup quarterback to being a starter.” Joe smiled at you as he remembered that day.
“And I told you that you were going to be amazing and look at how what I spoke into existence came true. When did we first tell each other ‘I love you’?”
“It was even before we officially became a couple since we had been friends first. But in a sense, you were actually the one who said it first.”
“Very true and I was scared out of my mind how you were going to take it.”
“But why? You knew that I liked you.” Joe asked as he smiled at you.
“Maybe because I fell so hard and so fast and I was hoping that everything would work out and it did since I now have a ring on my finger.” You told him as you held up your left hand to show the camera.
“You want to know when I knew that I was going to ask you to marry me?”
“I thought I was asking the questions, but yes tell me because I have no idea.”
“That summer after your first year at LSU and you came to visit me in Athens for two weeks. I saw how much my family loved you and how you fit in perfectly with us. When you left, I started designing your ring.”
Hearing him say this, your eyes went wide as your mouth hung open.
“Seriously?” You asked him as tears pricked your eyes.
“And I actually bought it during my rookie season.”
“You love me real bad, don't you?”
“Yes, and that doesn't even begin to cover it.”
“Last one before we switch. How do you know when I'm mad at you?”
“Easy, you call me by my first name. My full first name and give me that look.”
“What look?”
“It’s just a look you do and I know that I'm in trouble.” Joe told you as he finally held up his cards.
“You ready, wifey?”
“I was born ready, thank you.” You replied as you flipped your hair over your shoulder.
“Okay and I'm going easy on you for the first question and that's it. Where was I born?”
“Ames, Iowa. Give me a hard one.”
“What award did I win in my senior year of high school and what year was it?”
“Mr. Football and Gatorade player of the year in 2014. That wasn't hard.”
“Okay, then Mrs. Burrow, how many rushing touchdowns did I get in high school?”
“27.”
“I… I had no idea that you actually knew that.”
“I make it my business to know everything.” You answered as you fixed your necklace.
“Hmm, just like older siblings. But, moving on. Favorite dessert my mom makes me and favorite dessert that you make me?”
“Snickers salad and my strawberry cheesecake. “
“Can you tell me how many awards I got at LSU and name five of them?”
“16 in total. Hmm, only five? The Heisman, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm, Lombardi award, Walter Camp award, and unanimous all american. All of them you won in 2019.”
“Damn. At this rate, you probably know my playbook better than I do too.” Joe told you as he laughed with you joining in right along with him.
“I would definitely agree with that.”
“My favorite nickname for you?”
“Princess or baby doll.” You sweetly said as you twirled the end of your curly hair around your finger.
“What is my biggest fear?”
“Career wise or in general?”
“In general.”
“Now I think this one I actually don't know.”
“You do know and I'll give you a hint. Losing.”
“Losing? I'm still not sure.” You told him as you were trying to think of what he could possibly mean.
“Losing you. We've come close to it, so let's not do that again.” Joe quietly answered as you nodded.
“Promise not to.”
“What is the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning?”
“Kiss me and tell me you love me! And sometimes that wakes me up too.”
“Despite how grumpy you usually are.”
“Well yeah especially when you wake me up at 5 in the morning.”
“Last one, babe. I'll give you two points if you get this right. What was the degree I got at OSU and the degree I got at LSU?”
“At OSU, you finished in 3 years and your degree was in family and consumer financial services. At LSU, your masters is in liberal arts. Actually surprised you got that one since you had been all up on me ever since you got to Baton Rouge. Yall I never saw this man study. Our study sessions would turn into make out sessions every single time.”
“They would not! And I did study!”
“I'll ask my twin for confirmation, but he didn't even graduate so he's probably not the best person to ask.”
“Ask him when we leave. Anyway, you did amazing. You know me pretty well.” Joe told you as you scoffed.
“I would hope so. I'm married to you and we're locked in for life.”
“Yeah, I like you so I guess I'll keep you.” Joe told you as you gave him a blank stare.
“What do you mean you guess?!”
“And there we have it. That concludes our GQ couples quiz. See you guys next time.”
“Joseph! Answer my question!”
“Uh oh.”

SHE'S THE ONLY GIRL THAT I WANNA LOVE | MARAUDERS X READER
word count \ 1.8k | fluffy fluff | slash / poly!marauders x reader
in which you get tickets to the marauders, courtesy of your friend lily
Tumblr media
The Marauders were your favorite band.
Their music varied depending on who wrote the song. They all knew how to play and instrument and how to sing, each of them having their own album of music named after them.
James was the album you went to when you wanted a good vibe. 13 songs each with an upbeat vibe, mostly about love, let everyone easily know just how much of a hopeless romantic he was.
Remus was an emotional wreck to say the least, both the album and the person. He had a gothic style to some of his music, and his descriptions of love were enough to make any grown man cry. Sometimes the topics got extreme within his albums, so you made sure not to listen to it unless you were struggling.
Sirius was a mess of emotions that sent you on a rollercoaster between the two. Switching back and forth between fuckboy vibes and childhood trauma turned into pop music, it was an album you listened to whenever driving, especially for this concert.
You and your friends were dressed in a rockstar kind of aesthetic, red and black mixing together with the showing off of your body. The venue was completely packed, your bodies all pressed together as you tried to find yourselves a booth.
One of your friends that you had made recently, Lily Evans, had gotten the whole friend group free tickets to see them live in a small concert venue. As far as you and your group knew, she was dating at least one of them. There was no other way she’d get the tickets for free otherwise.
Little did you know how wrong you really were.
Tumblr media
“Do you three remember the girl I told you about a while back?” Lily asked the three guys, leaning against the wall of the recording booth as they practiced for their upcoming concert.
James, Remus, and Sirius all looked up at that.
“Yeah?” James asked her curiously. “What about her? Is she okay? Do you have any updates?”
Remus sighed, undoing his guitar from his shoulder. “Jesus, James. You sound like a stalker.”
“He has a point,” Sirius grumbled to Remus, looking at Lily as his face softened at the mention of you. “Is the lady okay?”
Lily had noticed that the three of them had developed a crush on you as soon as she mentioned you to them. She had done a couple of tests, showing photos and telling them about your day, which only seemed to make them fall farther. You weren’t aware of it, but some of their best selling romance songs were written about you.
Despite all of that, none of them knew you.
“She’s fine,” Lily said, a lazy Chesire cat smirk growing on her face as she spoke. “In fact, she’s visiting town this week.”
“She is?” James asked excitedly.
Sirius gasped, his smile matching James. “We could meet her! Right, we can do that?”
“That sounds like a horrible power dynamic.” Remus shut them both down, standing up and hanging his guitar up. “She’s one of our fans, a fan we aren’t meant to know. It’s manipulative.”
“Oh please!” Sirius said. “You played psychology tricks on me back in Sixth Year when I said I wasn’t gay after you asked me out!”
“He literally just showed his hand covered in rings.” James chuckled, making sure his guitar was tuned.
“Exactly!” Sirius said. “Psychological trick!”
Lily sighed at the three of them, knocking her shoe against the wall to grab their attention. “Do you want to meet her or not?”
“Obviously!” James and Sirius said in unison. Remus sighed before shrugging, looking between the two of his partners before over at Lily.
“Sure,” he shrugged.
Lily smirked, placing her phone in her pocket before making a grabbing motion with her hand. “Free tickets, or it’s a no go.”
Tumblr media
You were there when The Marauders began to set up their equipment, wincing slightly as Lily stood up and dragged you near the stage. There wasn’t anyone where you were just yet luckily, which gave you a good view of the band members.
“You three!” Lily called out, not listening to you when you tried to shush her. Did she not realize they were extremely busy right now?
The three walked up to the edge of the stage, James kneeling down while the other two stood there. “Hi Lils! Hi Lils’ friend!”
“Hi,” you whispered quietly, waving your hand.
“Y/N,” Sirius said with a smirk, snapping his fingers as he looked at you. “I love your makeup.”
You blushed as he noticed you, not sure how he knew your name. You looked at Lily incredulously, eyebrows furrowed as she sent you a sheepish yet not sorry smile.
“This is the band!” she said. “James, Sirius, and Remus. You three, meet Y/N!”
“It’s nice to finally meet you.” Remus said calmly, slowly kneeling down in front of you with a big grunt. It seemed to pain him, you assumed it was something to do with his scars.
“Nice to meet you too,” you whispered quietly, shaking his hand with a small but excited smile.
“You’re much more beautiful than Lils here gave you credit for.” James chuckled, with Lily nudging his arm in retaliation. “Sorry.”
“You told them about me?” you asked her incredulously, sighing softly as she nodded.
“Doesn’t matter much now,” Sirius said, a small smirk on his face as he walked backwards while playing a string of his guitar. “All that matters now is you enjoy the show, yeah?”
“Yeah!” you said, chuckling softly in shock.
James smiled and jumped up as soon as he could, getting back to setting his instrument up. Remus was still there, most likely preparing himself for sitting up after sitting down.
“What’s your favorite song?” he asked you. “I’ll play it for you.”
You gasped before giggling softly, hands resting on the edge of the stage as you stared up at him. “You really would? Really?”
“Mhm.” he smiled gently.
You kicked your foot aimlessly back and forth as you thought, not sure what song to choose. “I think I love all of them,” you mumbled quietly. “but I think that, if I had to choose any, it’d be Like Real People Do.”
“Really?” he asked, a small smirk on his face.
“Or Mary.” you said, giggling softly.
“I can work with that.” he said, standing back up. “I’ll play one of them for you, okay dove?”
You nodded up at him dazedly, heart fluttering at the ‘dove’ nickname. You were absolutely done for, Lily having to drag you back out to your booth.
Tumblr media
“We have our third act for you ready tonight!” Sirius called into the microphone, his setlist having just finished. He played a mix of genres. Black Dog, Smells Like Teen Spirit, MAMMAMIA, Holidays, GASOLINE, and Family Line. James had played five songs instead of six. Ballroom Blitz, which Sirius and Remus joined in on, Flawless, The Less I Know About The Better, Head Over Heels, and Out of My League. “Are you all ready?”
You smiled as the crowd cheered for Remus to get on stage, Sirius quickly rushing him off the drums. Remus was quite a fan favorite with some of the girls within the fandom, a lot of people admiring his quiet nature. He started with Starman and Iris, his setlist shorter due to a small voice injury. He finished Iris before strumming the chords to Mary, his eyes locking on you as they played.
You felt your cheeks blushing wildly as he began to play, noticing how James and Sirius also seemed to know exactly what was going on. You blushed even farther as he began talking, his voice husky within the microphone.
“Tonight is a little bit different than usual,” Remus said, the audience cheering at him. “I wanted to change this song to fit the vibe.”
The crowd cheered as he moved himself closer to the microphone, a small smirk on his face.
“Y/N is the girl that I wanna kiss,” he sang, eyes locking onto you. “She’s got big red eyes and big red lips. She’s got big sharp teeth and big fat hips.”
“Y/N is the girl that I wanna fuck.” he sung, his calm voice radiating through the stage speakers. “She’s got leather heart and leather gloves, she’s the only girl that I wanna love.”
You panic drank your Shirley Temple as he continued singing, not sure how else to hide your extreme blush.
You were a goner.
Tumblr media
“He dedicated the song to you, hm?”
You turned around as you heard Sirius’ voice, gasping before sighing softly. You had a small cigarette in your hand, an unlit one in his as he leaned on the wall beside you.
“Yeah,” you whispered with a blush. “He asked me about it before he stood back up earlier.”
“Sneaky bastard.” Sirius chuckled, lighting his cigarette and puffing it out. “Surprised he did, to be honest with you. Seems like a James thing.”
You shrugged before smiling softly.
“He’s kinda scared of talking to you.” Sirius said.
“Why?” you asked him. Were you a scary person? You didn’t think so. But maybe he did?
“He doesn’t want to feel like he’s manipulating you into liking him because of his power over you.” Sirius shrugged. “Parasocial or whatever. He doesn’t wanna mess it up. You know?”
“Oh.” you whispered. “I think I know.”
“But I disagree,” he said calmly, looking at you. “You’re too beautiful not to talk to.”
“Oh!” you said, blushing wildly. You weren’t sure which one you were meant to be attracted to. They were all nice guys.
“You’re silly.” he chuckled softly, blowing smoke to the side. “Can I have your number? I can make a group chat with us in it.”
“You and Remus?” you asked incredulously.
“And James.” he smirked. “Wouldn’t want you feeling lonely.”
You smiled softly at him, blowing a puff of smoke out yourself. “Okay.”

Great Shift; We Didn’t Choose These Bodies…
Tumblr media
Trevor:
I’m officially 2 months into the Great Shift and I’m about to go insane! You see before all of this craziness went down— I was a 18 year old scrawny gay boy who lived across the street. The body that seems to be now mine forever belonged to 47 year old Jason Dixon. He’s a handsome guy, works in construction, and has one son named Carson.
Now Carson, is someone I’ve known since I was young. He’s a couple years older than me and I hate to say it but he was kinda my sexual awakening. He was on the swim team and I remember seeing him in a speedo— something about it just woke me up. And now all of this time later I still get weak to the knees when I see him.
Now the hard part about all of this is that our community has chosen as a whole to “pretend” and live our lives in public as the body we are in.
Which can be hard given people have swapped with different genders, ages… it gets kinda weird. But when I’m out in public, I’m Jason. No one causes me Trevor anymore, well accept for Ben.
Ben is a guy who lived a couple blocks down from me, I really didn’t know Ben prior to the Great Shift. He was a middle aged gay guy who lived alone. And now he’s inside of Carson’s body.
We both now live under a house together that never belonged to us and are forced to pretend to be ‘father and son’ in public.
At home both of us have just really enjoyed each other’s company. We’re both gay and openly talk about guys, what we like about them, music, all kinds of stuff. The house is kind of our safe space to be ourselves.
Except him and I have one huge issue— we both are very attracted to each other’s bodies. Ben confessed to me one time while we were sitting on the couch together drinking a bottle of wine that Jason’s body is like the man of his dreams.
And I get it, Mr. Dixon is a good looking guy. I enjoy having his big muscled hairy body on a daily basis. Especially since he has a gigantic cock and a pair of sexy feet.
I guess they’re something he passed down to Carson because I can’t stop looking at them! I already had a foot fetish before this mess and I have to watch Ben strut around in his body… he never wears socks or a shirt or pants for that matter!
So what do I do in response? Well, I turned it up a notch. Not only did I strip down to less but I stopped wearing underwear around the house. I’ll free ball so he can see my sexy daddy junk flopping around as I walk. And boy did I get his attention!
He can’t take his eyes off of it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That lead to the back and forth mirror selfies… both of sending more and more risky photos of each other.
And then came Ben placing Carson’s big smelly feet on my lap… I know he knows I have a thing for feet! He looks over at me with a very cheeky ton and says, “my feet are killing me! Could you rub them?”
And of course I said yes, I rubbed his feet for 15 minutes until I knew I couldn’t take anymore!
I hightailed it to the bathroom, locked the door, and wanked one out. I knew in that moment, I was done with games. I need to address this.
So that night, we sat on the couch after dinner watching a movie. I wrap my arm around him and he freezes up.
“Sorry need to stretch out a bit, I say to him.”
He acknowledges my excuse and leans his on me.
I start rubbing up and down his forearm softly wondering if he’s going to do something about it.
He says nothing… a few moments later, Ben puts his feet on mine and starts rubbing his toes back and forth.
I lift my head up and look at him. I kiss him on the cheek. He looks taken aback by it.
“Trev, you know we can’t.”
“And why the fuck not?”
“Because we are technically father and son…”
“That’s such a BS excuse, you flirt with me for weeks now. You and I aren’t related. Now these bodies might be but who the hell has to know?”
“Yeah but what if we get caught?”
“We won’t… now just relax.”
I grab his junk and lets out a yelp noise.
“You’ve toyed with me for too long Ben. You and I are going to explore every inch of each other starting tonight. You’re gonna come sleep in daddy‘s bed for now on do you understand?”
“Fuck…”
I pulled his pants down and fully expose him. I see his beautiful cock, really for the first time. It’s so hard and already leaking. I’ve bend my head down and gingerly lick become off of his head. I knew that been like to be dominated. We both shared our fantasies with each other. He’s always wanted some handsome hairy bearded muscular daddy to boss him around. And that’s what I’m gonna do.
“ Do you understand daddy‘s orders?,” I say to him. he knows his head. I grabbed his dick and play with the head of his cock, running my thumb back-and-forth on it.
“ I said did you understand daddy’s orders? I need to hear you.”
“Yes—“
“ yes what?”
“Yes daddy!”
“ good now let’s head to bed, daddy needs you to use that pretty mouth of yours on his massive cock.”
I pull off my shorts and out comes Jason’s massive dick that I know he’s been fantasizing for a long time now.
“ Trevor, this is so fucking hot. Thank you for doing this. I’ve been wanting the touch that body for so long. I wanna suck your cock so bad. I wanna feel up and down that hairy chest. I wanna smell those big manly feet. I want you to cuddle at night. God I’m so happy this is finally happening. Deep down since this whole swap thing happened it’s all I’ve ever wanted. Not only are you in the body of my dreams, but I really like you.”
“ fuck Ben! Way to kill the mood with that last part, I really fucking like you too. How about we just stick to role-playing and worry about our emotions later. Daddy’s worrying as fuck lol.”
“ shit you wanna get really crazy what about if you’re sexy ass son talk to you tonight?”
“ that’s hot as shit you know I’m a bottom!”
“ yeah but you’re gonna have to tell me every now and then especially with that massive dick of yours.”
“ well then I want a foot job. You know I like feet and you know what I like those feet. Which by the way, you’re such a dick for making rub them for like 30 minutes the other day. I literally had to run to the bathroom and jerk one out.”
“ ha ha I literally I knew it!”
“So you ready?”
“Yep!!”

(Billie's pov )
Beautiful.
that's all i could think as i watched her from a distance. she had no idea that i knew every little thing about her, that i studied her every move, her every smile, her every tear. she was so oblivious to the world around her, so lost in her own little bubble, that she never noticed how i was everywhere. to be completely transparent, i don't know what compels me to do this, following her around, taking pictures, obsessing over her, i don't know why i do it, i just do it. it's like some sort of magnetic pull, something inside of me that screams for more of her, something that keeps me coming back for more.
it had been our first week of university, orientation week, where we hung out, met new people, got situated, and whatever else normal people did. i decided to take a... different approach, not by choice, but by necessity. i had noticed her from the moment she stepped into the auditorium for the welcome assembly. she had the kind of aura that drew everyone in, made them question who she was, made them insecure, made them ask her out without knowing her properly. i just sat back and took notes on every little gimmick or bit or habit she had.
her name was y/n. i had followed her from class to class, lurked in the shadows as she went to the library, sat outside her dorm at night as she studied with the light on, and watched her as she slept. i know, it's creepy, but i couldn't help it, i needed her to be safe, needed to make sure she was okay. she was just so... innocent like bambi or something. i had to protect her from all the shit that was out there in the world.
every night i'd go home and write down everything she did, everything she said, every person she talked to, and i'd analyze it all, trying to piece together the puzzle of y/n. i have a whole notebook in my room dedicated to her, filled with pictures and notes and writing. she's 5'0, doesn't drink much out of personal choice, she loves to paint and sing, she likes painting her nails different colors, she loves coffee and shopping and music and has 3 siblings, 2 brothers and a sister. whenever she's nervous she touches her neck or when she's excited she swings on her feet. i know most things about her and she still knows nothing about me.
-
first day of classes, i decided to take a seat next to her in our english lit class. she had no idea who i was, of course, but she gave me a polite smile as she sat down. i took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. this was it, the closest i had ever been to her. the scent of her perfume filled my nose and i couldn't help but lean in slightly to get a better whiff. she smelled like vanilla and coconut, a heavenly combination that i had never smelled before.
"hi," she said softly, her eyes scanning my face for recognition. "i think i've seen you around. i'm y/n."
"oh," i said, playing it cool, trying not to let my excitement show. "i'm billie. it's nice to meet you."
y/n nodded, her eyes flicking back down to the book in her lap. i studied her from the corner of my eye, noting the way she played with the hem of her shirt as she listened to the professor drone on about the syllabus. she was so focused, so intense, that it was hard not to be captivated by her.
the class eventually ended and she began to pack up her things.
"need help with anything?" i offered, hoping she'd say yes.
"no, i'm good," she replied with a smile. "but thanks for asking."
as we walked out of the classroom together, she turned to me.
"do you know where the art building is?" she asked.
i nodded, "yeah, i can show you."
y/n's eyes lit up with relief and she fell into step beside me. we talked about our majors and hometowns, and i found myself getting lost in the sound of her voice, the way she talked with her hands, the way her eyes sparkled when she talked about painting. it was like nothing else in the world mattered except for her.
when we got to the art building, she thanked me and went inside. i watched her go, feeling a strange mix of happiness and sadness. happiness because i had just had a real conversation with her, and sadness because i knew i had to let her go, for now.
but i couldn't stay away for long.
that night, i found myself outside her dorm again, watching her through the window. she was singing to herself, her voice a soft melody that floated out into the night air. i leaned closer, trying to make out the words, feeling a warmth spread through me as i did so. it was a strange feeling, one i had never felt before.
the next day, i was sitting outside her dorm when she walked out. she looked surprised to see me.
"hi again," i said, smiling.
"hi billie," she said, looking around nervously. "what are you doing here?"
"reading," i lied, trying to seem casual. "what about you?"
"oh, i'm just going to grab some lunch," she said, looking down at her watch, "i've got class in like 10 minutes so i've gotta rush" she added, looking a bit flustered. "see you around."
"see ya," i said, watching her go.
but i couldn't stay away. i followed her to the cafeteria, watching her from a safe distance as she ate with her friends. she laughed at something one of them said, and i felt a pang in my chest. i wanted to be the one making her laugh like that, the one she confided in, the one she leaned on.
as the days turned into weeks, our interactions became more frequent. we'd run into each other in the halls, at the library, and even at the coffee shop on campus. each time, she'd greet me with a smile, and each time i'd fall a little bit more in love with her.
but i knew i had to keep my distance. if she ever found out what i was doing, she'd be terrified of me. so, i contented myself with watching her from afar, taking in every little detail, every little gesture, and storing it away in the back of my mind.

losing game pt. 3

as promised here's your happy ending (yall would be enraged if i told u how this was originally going to go😸)

──────────✿───────────
But when you woke up the next morning, she was gone. You had her hoodie and a pair of underwear on, but everything else — her clothes, the warmth of her body beneath you, even her scent on your pillow — was gone.
And her set of keys were left on your nightstand.
──────────✿───────────
Ellie woke up in your arms, you lying on her back and her draped over you as you slept soundly. The night before replayed in her head, images of you and your body flooding her mind; from you hugging her as you cried, to hugging her as you moaned, doing the most intimate thing you’d ever done. From kissing up your arm to you kissing up her thighs — feeling you against her, it all came flooding back along with the sound of her music still playing from your dying laptop. Songs she wrote about you, that she hadn’t even registered you were having sex to, songs that held feelings so private that she couldn’t believe she’d shared with the world when the memories of why she wrote them invaded her mind.
She couldn’t stop herself from crying when all the feelings of the past year came back to her, running her hands over her face and wiping her eyes to force them away. She wanted, more than anything, for you to be the one to comfort her at that moment, but she didn’t want to wake you. You’d cried so much the night before, and she didn’t want to make you watch her cry. You’d feel awful. She couldn’t do that to you.
She quietly got up, going into your drawer and pulling on one of your sweaters and a pair of underwear. She looked back at you, clinging to the blanket now that her warmth had left you, and grabbed her sweater from the edge of the bed. She grabbed another pair of underwear and went over to you, carefully pulling on the underwear and sweater before pulling your blanket over you.
She left to the living room, only intending to sit and calm herself down so you weren’t burdened with her feelings, but she got a call. She quickly wiped her eyes and sniffed as she picked it up, seeing her bassist’s name.
“Hey, Dina,” she said, voice thick with tears and groggy from just waking up.
“Where are you? We have to leave,” she said, sounding frantic. Ellie pulled the phone away from her ear, frowning at the time. It was barely six in the morning, where the hell would they be going? “Don’t tell me you forgot about our fucking tour,” Dina said and Ellie brought the phone back to her ear. “What the fuck, Ellie?”
“That doesn’t start until the eighteenth,” she said.
“Yeah, but we have to get on a plane on the fifteenth. Today. Right now.” Dina sighed. “Where are you? Everyone’s waiting.”
“I…” She looked back at the door to your room. “I at least have to wait until she wakes up. I have to—“
“You’re kidding.” Dina shook her head, she could hear Jesse asking what happened in the background, Dina whispering your name and making him sigh. “The plane boards in forty-five. I have your suitcase… Why don’t you wake her up? You can have, like, fifteen minutes with her — Ellie…” Dina sighed when she heard her sniff. “I’ll come get you. You can call her before we board.”
“I just don’t want to wake her up—“
“I know.”
“She was upset last night, I want to let her rest—“
“I know… It’ll be fine, El. It’s shit timing, I know, but we have to go.” She sighed, nodding. “Do what you need to do. I’ll be there in a little bit.”
Ellie went back to your room, taking a moment to sit on the bed. She wished she hadn’t left. At least, she would’ve gotten to sit with you for longer — and she felt a pit in her stomach when she remembered — She knew how this would make her look, and she wished she’d just said it back when she had the chance. She wished she’d said it when she first got there, or before she took off your shirt. She should’ve said that instead of saying she was in love with you. Like she wasn’t still.
She wanted to wake you up and tell you now, but she couldn’t bring herself to. If you saw her like this, a complete wreck, you’d just try to comfort her. She wouldn’t be able to leave if that happened.
And as she got on her jeans, her keys jingling, she looked down at them. She slipped your apartment keys off of the keychain, set it on your nightstand, and placed a very soft kiss on the top of your head. She didn’t think she deserved to keep them. Not when she knew how upset you’d be when you woke up — how you’d think of her. Hell, if any paparazzi caught her at your apartment, coming in, or leaving, you’d probably think she was taking one last jab at humiliating you.
And it made her feel worse because she knew, after how upset you were, you wouldn’t even blame her. You’d think she hated you, and you wouldn’t even be mad at her. The thought had her sitting in Dina’s passenger seat, crying over everything all over again. After just getting you back, after missing you so much, she felt like she wouldn’t be able to make up for this.
“Ellie, I can’t watch you like this,” Dina said. “Just call her.”
“She might call me when she wakes up.”
“Call her, so she doesn’t think you left her in the middle of the night like she was some kind of one-night stand,” Dina told her, her tone firm. Ellie sniffed, nodding and dialing your number. It rang and rang, but eventually, it went to your voicemail. “Tell her,” she mouthed, but she just hung up. “Ellie—“
“She’s going to think I hate her, Dina.” She shook her head, looking at your contact picture and clicking the message icon. She typed, then deleted, then typed again. What was she supposed to tell you? You wouldn’t believe her if she said she forgot she had to leave in the morning because she was with you. Who would believe that? “Fuck…” She muttered, a tabloid notification popping up. The news was already spreading that she went over to your apartment.
“I don’t understand why you can’t talk to her. There’s no need to be this upset.” Ellie just shook her head, typing and deleting over and over. Dina glanced at her phone. “At least tell her you care about her. We both know what she’ll think when she sees the photos.” That just made her cry more. Dina nearly pulled over. Nearly offered to take her back, but they had things to do as soon as they landed. “Text her, Ellie. Please. This is hard to watch.”
“Her manager will delete the message.” She sighed, still sending you a text. It was only three words, but it was enough.
It was enough to make you pause when you finally checked your phone. You thought, just maybe, she went out to get breakfast for the two of you, or get you coffee like she would before, but the text let you know she wasn’t coming back. You pursed your lips, typing and deleting until you settled on a joke.
Tumblr media
Ellie huffed a laugh, typing a long message. She wanted to explain away the photos, tell you she didn’t mean for any of that to happen, but she wasn’t careful because she just wanted to see you. She wanted to tell you she’d get on a plane another day if you asked her to, skip all the promotions just to be with you, but she knew you would never ask her to do that. Even if you wanted to — even if Dina would turn the car around for her. She retyped it over and over, reluctantly trimming it down.
Tumblr media
You waited for her to reply, staring at the bubbles until they disappeared and sighing, tossing your phone aside. The night before had been so perfect, but she couldn’t even wake you up to tell you she had to leave. Knowing Ellie, she probably didn’t want to upset you, but you wished she had. You wished you’d been upset because she was leaving and not because she left.
Waking up without her, to an empty apartment, her keys left behind, it made you feel sick. You wanted to call, but you felt foolish dialing her number — you felt like an idiot for doing it the night before. You wanted to text, but you didn’t want to embarrass yourself, and looking at her text from that night made you even more embarrassed. You just wanted to know why, and now that you did, you couldn’t say you felt any better.
She called you hours later, once she landed, and you couldn’t bring yourself to answer. Your stomach dropped as you saw her contact pop up, just like it did when you saw the photos, and when your manager called you about them. Your hands started to sweat as you grabbed your phone, letting out a breath as the call ended. You texted her.
Tumblr media
You knew she wouldn’t reply, and you knew it was because she didn’t know how to talk to you now. That hurt the most — that she didn’t wake you, because she didn’t know how to tell you — because she thought you’d be upset with her, even though you lived such similar lives. It was like you didn’t even know each other anymore. You were on speaking terms, but you couldn’t even speak.
Over the next weeks, you and Ellie started to text like you were still friends, sending each other things, and asking about each other’s days. You got rid of your manager and unblocked each of your old band members, texting them apologies that they each replied lovingly to. Despite how stupid you felt.
Ellie called when the news broke.
“Are you okay?” She asked. You answered the second time she called, feeling bad for ignoring the first when you heard the worry in her voice. “I saw the headlines.”
“I, uh…” You were always close with your manager, she knew that; it was why he was so adamant about looking out for you — why he pushed her away. He was the reason you could hardly speak to Ellie now. “I wish you were here,” you muttered. “I, just, I’m just getting back into my music, and now I don’t know what to do… I guess I could release independently…”
“You should,” she said, sounding happy just to have a conversation.
“You think?” She hummed. “Maybe — Maybe I’ll try that, then.” There was a beat of silence. “You have to go, right?”
“We open in a few minutes.”
“And you still called?”
“I wanted to make sure you were okay.” That made you smile. “Hey, we, uh, we have a break in the tour soon — on the twenty-second. I could come home. Maybe we could see each other? I’d only have, like, a few hours, but—“
“You should do something nice, then,” you said glumly.
“The only reason I’d come back is to see you.”
And she came back, coming up to your apartment without care whether or not paparazzi caught her. Just like last time, all she wanted was to see you, and neither of you cared what was outside of your door.
You cared that she was there, standing in front of you like it was still a year ago and you were still best friends. But you didn’t know what to say after saying hello.
“Fuck it,” she muttered before pulling you in. Your lack of verbal communication led to getting it out physically, sweet kisses, and “I missed you’s” being given out haphazardly as you got your clothes off once you made it to your room.
It became a tradition, almost, each time she had a break. She’d come to see you, you’d have sex, and she’d be gone in the morning when you woke up. There wasn’t a single time she waited, no matter how late her flight was. She’d go out, bring coffee back for you, and leave her keys with the coffee before she went to the airport if there was time enough for that, but she never woke you to say goodbye. She couldn’t bring herself to.
Because the last time she got to say goodbye to you, she lost you, and she wasn’t going to let that happen again. She knew not to say goodbye.
She knew better.
“Is this how it is now?” You asked her one night, lying together in your bed. “We barely talk until one of us calls to say ‘I miss you’ and you come home for…” You looked at the clock by your bed. “Six hours?”
“I don’t have to come back,” she said quietly, half wanting to comfort you because you sounded so disappointed and half hurt that you didn’t seem to care about her coming back for you.
“Then don’t,” you mumbled, reciprocating what you took as apathy.
Maybe that was why you didn’t speak; you’d just misunderstand each other.
“You don’t mean that — hey…” She made you look at her when you tried to turn your head away, block out the conversation. “I love you?” She tried, hoping that would help your mood. You hadn’t been saying it since this started, and she hoped she could remind you why it did.
But, for some reason, that only worsened your feelings.
“Don’t bother. You’re not even going to be here tomorrow to act like it.”
She scoffed, nose reddening immediately. “Okay,” she muttered. “I’ll catch a flight tonight then. That better?” She moved you off of her, standing and putting on her clothes. She always left with some clothing item of yours, but she didn’t take anything this time. All you could think in the moment was that you at least got to see her leave, but the moment continued for far too long, and you started to regret saying anything — feeling anything.
All you wanted was for her to stay.
“You don’t want to wait until I’m asleep?” You half-joked, voice drab as you snatched her sweater before she could put it on, pulling it over your head. “Or give me your sweater?” She always did. She never left you like this. She never left you feeling vulnerable, with nothing to remember her by.
“Do you even want it?” You scoffed at her and she opened her phone, checking for flights. “Whatever. Keep it. I have to go now if I want to catch this.”
And suddenly there was a pit in your stomach as you realized she really was leaving. And upset. She tugged on the shirt she had under her sweater, making sure she had everything as she sniffed. She wiped beneath her eyes and you sighed, “Ellie—“
“You want me to go, I’m going. Keep the fucking sweater.”
“I love you, too,” you said, and she stopped at the tone of your voice, looking at you. “Are you going to come back again?”
“Do you want me to?” You pursed your lips, frowning at her and wondering why she’d even ask that. Why couldn’t she understand that you were upset because you wanted her there? Why couldn’t you just tell her that?
She took your lack of an answer as a “no” and nodded.
“I don’t want you to leave right now.”
“I asked if you want me to come back.”
“But, right now—“
“Right now, I want to catch this flight.” You shut your mouth, knowing you couldn’t stop her. “So, are you going to give me my sweater? Or should I just go?”
“You can take one of mine.” She huffed, heading for the door. “Why don’t you take your keys,” you suggested quickly, throwing out anything to make her stay. “You can let yourself in next time.” But she was closing the door behind herself, and when you heard the front door close, you felt your throat tighten. “Fuck,” you muttered, pulling your knees to your chest as you looked at the empty spot next to you.
That was the most you’d talked during any of the times she came home.
Tumblr media
You waited and waited, but the door never opened again, and you had to go to sleep when your eyes got heavy, waking up to a knock at the door and quickly getting on pants before you answered. A delivery driver handed you a bouquet of flowers and a teddy bear holding a heart-shaped box of chocolates.
You didn’t think you could feel worse about that night when you read the note. Ellie wasn’t one to write long notes to people, maybe long journal entries, but when it came to talking she got straight to the point. She left out the flowery messaging and the sentimental paragraphs to say how she felt without sugarcoating it;
I know this won’t make up for it, but I wish we were spending today together too. I had the whole thing planned in case it worked out.
Maybe next year? lolll
Happy Valentine’s Day.
Love Els ᡣ𐭩
It was no wonder she got defensive so quickly, you thought as you called her, getting her voicemail. There wasn’t anything you could think to say that you hadn’t in your message. You knew she didn’t want to hear you apologize, so you hung up.
She didn’t come back during her next tour break. You had half a mind to call her, but you didn’t want to come across like you were clinging to her. She didn’t come the next time either.
When the fourth time rolled around, you’d gotten so used to not seeing her that you were asleep when the buzzer rang. Someone else must’ve buzzed her in, because there was a knock at your door that woke you up and made you open the door sleepily.
“Oh,” Ellie said. “I didn’t realize you were asleep.” You stepped aside to let her in. “Want me to find a hotel tonight—?”
“No,” you said immediately, walking back to your room and getting in bed. “Just change your clothes and come to bed.”
She quietly did as told, smiling at the teddy bear and flowers on your desk before she got into a sweater and shorts and got beneath the covers. You immediately went to her, arms around her waist and head on her chest, to help yourself back to sleep. “Didn’t think you were coming,” you mumbled, half asleep. “Why’re you here?”
“I missed you…” She sighed, pulling you closer as she ran her hand up and down your back. “I wanted to give you space after acting like that… I was just upset already, and…”
You waited for her to finish, but it seemed like her sentence ended there. “You could’ve told me that.”
“I didn’t know how.” The conversation ended there, Ellie obviously tired and you not knowing how to respond.
You’d been so close before; you could talk about any and everything, you know every little detail about one another, so how did it get to this? Why couldn’t she just tell you she was upset because she couldn’t spend the next day with you — maybe, she thought you’d be upset, but you would’ve been happy to know she wanted to be with you.
Ellie had actually woken you up to say goodbye this time, telling you that she was leaving and she’d miss you before you went back to bed. She knew she shouldn’t have.
She knew better.
“We’re just holding on to what we used to have,” you said over the phone when she called about coming home again, saying she had a few days between shows and could leave then.
Ellie was quiet on the other end of the line. She knew you were right, but she didn’t want to say it.
“I just… I just feel like—“
“It’s too late?” She said quietly, telling you she felt the same. “For us, I mean… I know that…”
There was a long moment of silence, both of you wanting to say so much, wishing you’d said so much more, and finding yourself at a loss as your lips pursed. You heard her let out a breath, the sound shaking before she asked, “Do you still want me to come home?”
“More than anything.” You could hear her rustling on the other end of the line. “But it’d only be to say goodbye. I know you hate saying goodbye.”
“You always want me to,” she tried. She just wanted to see you. Even if you were upset, or saying goodbye again. Even if her last memory with you during this period of your relationship would end up being bad, she wanted to see you.
“Not this time.” But, more than anything, she wanted to see you happy with her. And you hadn’t been. She thought, maybe, giving you what you wanted now would do that. “I don’t want the last memory of this time together to be bad.”
“It doesn’t have to be.” But you both knew it would end up that way. There was another beat of silence. “Do you, at least, want me to come to give you my keys?” You frowned. “I took them before I left last time…” You could hear her playing with them, fingers fidgeting to try and distract herself. “I could just bring them back. Get a hotel?”
“I wouldn’t want you to stay in a hotel — you wouldn’t stay in a hotel if you brought them back.” She knew that. “Just keep them. It’s not like we’re done being friends.”
But you weren’t even that. Friends spoke more than you did, they cried less, and they didn’t know every intimate part of each other like you did. They didn’t remember every intimate detail, every beauty mark that they could kiss, every spot that when touched made them feel like they could spend the rest of their lives together.
You weren’t friends. You never were, and you never would be.
You both knew that, but she still agreed.
Even though she sat in the airport, waiting for you to text and tell her to come anyway, to say you missed her and you were sorry. Even just to tell her you loved her.
The texts slowly came to a stop, the calls too — any ask about how the other was doing felt too insensitive to continue. This time, instead of someone coming between you, you drifted apart. And maybe that was how it should’ve been all along, but you hated it. You both did.
The first thing she wanted when her tour ended was to see you, and the first thing you expected was a call from her — for her to ask to come over and you to say she didn’t have to ask. It never came, and she never did either, but it stayed in the back of your minds until July.
You’d kickstarted your independent career with a new band just in time for summer, and you’d be seeing each other at festivals. It was nearly every day in June, and oftentimes your set was either right before or right after hers. You’d pass by each other, say a quick hello, and move on because she had to get started and it wasn’t like you would stay. You saw each other at afterparties, but neither of you made the move to go up to each other.
Even though Ellie started talking about you during shows — even though she let your passing “hello’s” be what they were in June, until July rolled around, and she slipped in small details between announcing songs — let fans go wild. Even though she all but confirmed what happened that past winter, all but confirmed she was still in love with you, and made a point to say that if she had it her way you’d be together now.
And maybe it was a way to tell you without breaking your unspoken rule of not speaking. Because you saw the headlines, and they made you smile rather than cry. That was how you knew, if the time came, you would be with her. That’s why you started mentioning her between songs, why you did confirm what happened that winter, and why you made sure everyone knew that all she had to do was ask and she’d have it her way.
But she never did.
At least, not until August.
“Shit!” You gasped when your drink spilled down the front of your shirt. Someone was turning around as you were walking around them, your drink tipping back and down your blouse as they walked right into you.
It was at an afterparty for the last festival you’d be attending for the summer, and you were just heading out to leave.
“Shit, I’m so sorry.” The girl had a napkin in her hand that she used to try and get the stain out before it settled, but you were less focused on that and more on her voice. You knew it well enough to know, even in the dim light and the music bouncing off the walls of the venue the party was held in, Ellie was the one drunkenly wiping at your shirt as if the cocktail would come out.
“It’s okay,” you said, grabbing her hand to stop her from wiping at your chest. “It’s not even my shirt.” She looked up at you, recognizing your voice, then back at the shirt. She recognized it as her own, though it was cropped and distressed for your set.
“I liked that shirt,” she said, tipsy.
“I’m not the one that dumped a cocktail on it.”
“I’m not the one that changes into it during every show,” she countered. “You did good today.”
“You saw my set?”
She nodded. “I always watch the stream.” That made you smile. “And you always have that stupid shirt—“
“It’s not stupid!” You defended, pulling at the hem to look at it. “I mean, now it is — thanks to you,” you laughed, “but I loved this shirt!”
“It's just a white band tee,” she laughed out, but she couldn’t deny how good it felt, for some reason, to hear that.
“Yeah, but it’s yours.” You rolled your eyes at her when she smiled.
“I’ll get you a new one,” she said simply, sipping her drink. “That sound good?” You smiled, nodding. There was a beat of silence, her looking you up and down, wondering if you’d bring up her shows, before she asked, “How’ve you been?”
“Better,” was your answer, making her frown. “Good,” you changed it. “Just… Music feels weird without you,” you admitted. She nodded like she understood, and maybe she did. Maybe, that was why she watched every show, but couldn’t bring herself to go. “I haven’t watched any of your shows just ‘cause… I don’t know—“
“I miss you, too,” she cut you off, narrowing your statement down before you could start to ramble. Usually, you’d make a joke about her letting you finish talking, but now you just smiled. “I think time apart, after everything, has been good for us though.”
“Me too.” You nodded in agreement. “I mean, clearly — We finally remembered how to talk to each other.”
Ellie chuckled, nodding. “Yeah.” There was a beat of silence, but it wasn’t for lack of knowing what to say. Ellie just had to brace herself before she asked, “Do you want to go out sometime?” She’d been waiting to ask since summer started, hoping it’d been enough time. Hoping what you hinted at during shows wasn’t just for the headlines it produced.
“Like, as friends?” You asked, tilting your head at her. She was always catering to you, but you wanted her to pluck up and say it as boldly as she did on stage.
“We’ve never been good at being friends.” You laughed, nodding. “But sure, that works too if that’s what you want.” Like always, she agreed with you, but this time she made sure to speak up, “But I was asking you on a date.” You pursed your lips to hide the smile that immediately wanted to come to your face, raising a brow at her. “And somewhere public, and busy, where everyone can see us together, and paparazzi can have a fucking field day.” You laughed at her. “Unless you want it to be private.”
“I haven’t even said yes yet.”
“Yet,” she repeated back to you, making it a point that you said it. “What’ll make you say yes?”
“Ask me when you’re not drunk,” you told her, cupping her cheek very briefly. “It was nice to see you, Els.” You looked over at your band, ready to leave. “Text me.”
You found yourself waiting for a text from Ellie as you drove home with your bandmates, smiling as you thought over the conversation. She wasn’t that drunk, so you knew she’d ask again, but you still wanted an excuse for her to text you.
She knew that, and she knew you were already saying yes, which was why she was still at the party, taking celebratory shots with Dina before she finally went home. Immediately, she took out her phone to text you.
Tumblr media
You, as promised, got a call from Ellie an hour later.
You laughed as you answered. She started talking the moment you picked up, and you just listened: she missed you, and she’d been giving you space until the right time came up. She knew she wanted to ask the minute you saw each other again and she knew you wanted her to, and finally, “So, will you go out with me?”
And of course, “Yes.”

Tumblr media
It has been weeks ever since that little argument you and Se-mi had at the party, she hasn’t talked to you since. You’ve tried calling texting her but no answer, you even tried to talk to her in person which was always a fail.
Once again you tried calling her as you heard your own phone ring to your ear, you waited “C’mon pick up..” you muttered, “Hey this is Se-mi please leave a voicemail.” was all you heard.
You hung up since you didn’t plan on leaving on a voice mail. You texted her once again but noticed your message was green.
Your heart dropped, did she block you?
You quickly went onto your instagram and searched up her account but only to be face with, “No results”, did she block you on there as well?
You quickly went to snapchat as well only to see a ‘X’ next to her name.
That’s when you knew she blocked you and unadded you on basically everything. you sighed and leaned back into your bed already feeling tears forming.
After an hours or two you got a message, “Hey se-mi throwing a party btw, she told me to tell you” you read confused.
Why wouldn’t Se-mi just tell me..but oh well, You decided to go, You quickly drove up to her house already seeing if packed and music pounding, you sighed as you parked and got out, nervously you walked in, Already your ears filled with loud music and your eyes seeing everything crowded, Like deja vu.
You managed to find your friend and stayed with them awkwardly, you got a drunk just a tiny bit and looked around, You found Se-mi and you quickly went to her as if you couldn’t control your body or soemthing, that’s just what alcohol does i guess.
“Se-mi!” you quickly yelled out and grabbing her shoulder softly to catch her attention.
She turned around facing you, Her eyes staring in your owns, her face tensed up a bit, “Please you have to listen to me..i’ve been trying to explain everything to you but you won’t pick up!” you explained as she grabbed your arm shoving it off her shoulder, “What is there to explain huh? I don’t like you. What more is there?” She coldly said.
Your arms fell to your side and already felt your heart heavy.
“It’s not like that..look you don’t have to like me! i just want my best friend back..” you told her, Her gaze soften a bit as she crossed her arms, “I can’t see you the same.” she said back, “What? i’m still the same person Se-mi. I’m still your best friend! you seriously can’t just throw all those years of us being practically glued to each other. I’m still the same person..” You said already feeling tears wanting to come out for some reason.
“Maybe you can’t throw it away, But i can. And i already did! so why don’t you just get over it!” she said harshly.
you stared at her tears filling your eyes but before you could speak a girl came behind her, The same exact girl you saw that day of the argument, your face dropped a bit at the sight of her, “God she’s still trying to cling on you? It’s bad enough that we hear your phone buzzing every single time we’re together..i’m so glad you blocked her for me” She said smiling.
That’s when it hit you, were they dating? either way it was confirmed that she did block you.
Tears begin falling down your cheek, “So that’s it than? your just throwing away our friendship just like that.” you said.
Se-mi nodded “Was it even a friendship to you or did you see it as a relationship.” She said as the girl behind her laughed, you scoffed as tears continued falling down and shaked your head “Why are you doing this?” you asked, “It doesn’t matter, so why don’t you just fucking leave huh?” The girl behind her spoke up again.
You looked at her and back at se-mi “All this for her?” you quickly “Fucking leave already! why’d you bother to show your face here huh?” the girl yelled out at you, you stared at her and looked back at Se-mi who said nothing but stared “It’s not what it-..” she begin to speak but before you could hear her you quickly walked away.
“looks like..” Se-mi whispered to herself as she was tempted to go after you but didn’t, the girl grabbed Se-mi shoulder, “C’mon, finally she’s gone.”
Se-mi looked at her and looked back at your figure as it was slowly fading away, Once it was out of her sight she looked back at the girl, but she couldn’t help but feel guilty for what she did.
It has been weeks since our second argument, ever single day Se-mi goes on Y/n account tempted to unblock you, eventually she did but never followed you , just staring at your account.
She cut all contact of that other girl, and stopped talking to her completely, you sulked in my bed thinking sighing heavily.
For Se-mi everything was a downfall, she started missing you and thought about you more often, she thought it was just a phase but realized it wasn’t , she wanted you back, most of all she wanted her best friend back.
But on your side, you got a boyfriend that you barely started dating, everything was great for you, yall were in a happy healthy relationship.
It was until one day you were at your job (let’s just say starbucks lmfaoo) you were getting off of work your boyfriend waiting for you at the counter smiling as he gave you a kiss on the cheek, you did a small giggle as you look forward.
Your smile quickly dropped seeing Se-mi staring into your soul basically (Like the one in the GIF), she had saw everything, your boyfriend kissing you and everything, “Uh.. can you wait for me in the car?” you told him as he nodded and just left, once he left the building you stared back at Se-mi as she just walked towards you.
“I see you uh have a boyfriend now..” She spoke softly as you nodded “Yea..he’s a nice guy” you said simply, “Well..what about me..? you just moved on like that?” she said kinda embarrassed.
“Se-mi you humiliated me. You made me look so stupid! just for what? a random girl you barely knew?” you said harshly, She stared at you for a moment, “I know and i’m sorry!” she said desperately.
“Well it’s too late for that now.” you said shoving past her walking away, she quickly turned around watching you “Y/n wait!” she yelled out but you ignored her. The truth was you weren’t entirely over her.

[12:22 pm]
Husband!Taeyong’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He sighed, deciding this would be a good time for a break from boxing up everything you both decided you were going to donate. His brows furrows seeing your name on his screen. Weren’t you in the house with him? Why wouldn’t you just come tell him instead of texting him? ‘You’re not going to believe what I just found!’ He read with a smile.
He heard your hurried steps on the hardwood floor of the hall and soon enough you were standing in the doorway of your shared bedroom with a bright smile and a colorful book in your hands. As you walked closer, Taeyong reached for you grabbing your hips to guide you to stand between his spread thighs. “What did you find, honey?” Taeyong asks, pressing a kiss to your arm.
“My diary! It’s got some entries from our first 2 years together!” You beam.
“Oooh, juicy stuff?” Taeyong asks with a quirked brow.
You clear your throat and crack the journal open, “this is from 5 years ago, ready?” Taeyong nods, but his mind is reeling, you guys didn’t know each other five years ago, what could you have written about him? Your voice interrupts his train of thought, “Today, I went to the cafe with Minho. While Minho and I were waiting for our drinks, the most handsome guy I’ve ever laid eyes on came up and started talking to Minho. I guess they took a class together a while ago. This guy didn’t look at me the whole time, but I think I’m in love. Who would ever believe that I saw a man this handsome in real life and not a magazine? Even though he didn’t look at me, I’m pretty sure I’m going to think about him for the rest of my life. Minho said his name is Taeyong. I’m writing this so I have some happy memory of a handsome guy to return to when I’m sad.”
You look down at your husband, “I guess I was a little dramatic, huh?”
“I don’t even remember that! What else do you have?” Taeyong asks eagerly. He wishes he could go back in time to introduce himself properly, he could have had a whole extra year with you. Ugh!
“This is from four years ago, from that dinner that Minho held. I wrote, oh my literal god! You are never going to believe this! The handsome guy from the cafe was at Minho’s party and he spoke to me! There’s like a whole row of exclamation points here,” both you and Taeyong snort out a laugh before continuing, “his voice was so gentle and his hand was sooooo soft when we shook hands. We made conversation about school and our interests. He told me he likes to make music and make art and I told him I’d love to see his work, talk about thirsty. He had a really cute smile on his face and I swear I saw him blush! He told me he’d like to show me and before the night ended we exchanged numbers. I think there’s a higher possibility of us falling in love now. I hope he’s not actually a creep.”
Taeyong pulls you into his lap as he laughs loudly, “I remember that meeting, thank goodness. I remember that you were really cute and shy. And that Minho can’t cook to save his life. I was really excited to text you after that, but I wanted to be chill.”
“I think I ended up writing that after a week of nothing from you I gave up hope a little. I thought maybe you were like a figment of my imagination or maybe I read into it too much,” you sigh as if you’re reliving the memories while turning through the now warped pages.
For a while, the two of you sit there in comfortable silence reading through your entries. He reads and laughs good-naturedly ay the entry that describes the anxiety before your first date in detail and in drawing. Half the page is a messy scribble of words he can barely read, and the other half is scribbles that he can very well imagine you screaming while you drew. There’s a whole page of scribbles and ‘ahhhhhh’ filling up the whole page after the first date/first kiss which makes him smile softly while pressing a kiss to your shoulder.
He finds himself holding you closer, his arms around your waist tightening as his eyes pore over the words of a three-page long entry that came after your first big fight. You’d tried to skip past this, but he pulled the book out of your hold. ‘Tonight, Taeyong and I got in our first fight and I don’t think my heart has ever hurt this badly. I just don’t understand why he left! All I told him was that I needed some space to think and he took that as me wanting him gone. He just turned on his heel and left! I just wanted like 5 minutes to gather myself! Why would he just leave?’ Taeyong’s thumb sadly runs over the obvious mark of a tear drop.
He remembered this fight, he could remember the reason, but he remembers the aftermath. He remembers all the work that came after so that you two could communicate effectively. He remembers promising to never walk away in the middle of the fight and to never go three days thought talking to you again.
He closes the journal as sets it beside him while pulling you into an embrace, “we’ve made it far haven’t we?”
“Yeah, now I don’t freak out like scared chicken before our dates,” you laugh into his chest.
Taeyong laughs deeply, “I meant our communication, but sure.”
“Taeyong, we’ve been together for like four years, of course we’ve learned to communicate. We’ve learned a lot of things about each other. Each and every thing I learn just makes me love you more.”
He furrows his brows, “you didn’t like it when I bleached my eyebrows.”
“Oh my god, yeah! That wasn’t a good look. I hated that!” You exclaim, standing from his lap to assess the work he’s gotten done. “You’ve done a good job so far,” you nod.
“We’ve done a good job so far,” Taeyong stresses.
“That was cute, but I meant the clothes, honey.”

CRAZY GIRLS - Part #1
Lara Raj X Reader
Synopsis - Lara isn't your girlfriend, at least not yet.
Genre – Fluff     Warnings – this tells the story of the past, when you and Lara didn't date (there will be part 2)  (request)
Now playing – Crazy girls, by TOOPOOR
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From the beginning of your relationship with Lara you always knew that the Indian girl was a flaming cauldron of jealousy, damn it, even before you dated you knew that the girl was jealous from birth. Lara didn't like to share things and she sure didn't like to share you. You knew from the beginning.
Working with music has always been your dream, you loved creating melodies, you loved playing instruments, you loved singing and mixing chords to form a song. So when you finally managed to establish yourself as a music producer, you were jumping for joy. You had worked with some Hybe artists before, Le Sserafim, NewJeans, Enhypen, Seventeen, BOYNEXTDOOR...
You could walk through all the groups, with all the different concepts and you would still be able to filter all the essence and make an out-of-this-world production. So it was no surprise to you when you were asked to work with the newest group Hybe had released. You'd seen a few things about Katseye here and there, it was kind of impossible not to see with all the success these girls were having, they were pretty much everywhere.
When you arrived at the studio the girls were kind, friendly and very sweet with you, they were extremely loud and funny, and that helped the environment to be comfortable and light so that you could all work. At first you didn't notice, too busy at your work to see what was going on, but after the first week, you started to notice a strange movement in the Kats' behavior.
As soon as she saw you, Lara was impressed. You were beautiful, you were hot and after talking to you for a few minutes she also saw that you were very intelligent and passionate about music, and that attracted her a hundred times more. Although Lara tries to be quiet about it, the Kats had already noticed her strange behavior around you, and when they asked, Lara couldn't keep it, letting it all out. That day, the Kats had to spend more than half an hour listening to how hot and cute you were, and how Lara thought you were a music nerd.
It turns out that over time, it was starting to get tiring for the Kats. Lara didn't have the courage to ask you out, she always got tangled up in her words when she was close to you. All this was very new to the Kats, who were always used to the Indian girl's endless confidence. They'll never forget the moment they encouraged Lara to ask you out for the first time, only to mess it up in less than five minutes.
a week before
"Yn!" you heard someone shout your name as you walked to your car.
You had just finished another session in the studio with the Kats, and after saying goodbye to all the girls, you went to the parking lot to get your car.
"Oh, Lara. Something wrong?" You asked, thinking that maybe you had forgotten some of your stuff in the studio.
"I, uhm... I wanted to ask you something." Lara said, nervously fiddling with the jewelry she wore in her hands.
You honestly thought the red-haired girl was pretty cute. You always saw Lara very confident in presentations and interviews, it was a little funny to see that she got nervous just looking at you.
"I... I was wondering if... us, if we're already close to finishing the songs." Lara took a few steps back on her head. She hadn't been able to say what she wanted, and all that lack of confidence was making her frustrated.
"Yes, it is. We just have to make a few adjustments and everything will be ready. Why? Do you have a problem?" You asked, genuinely worried about the girl in front of you.
"What? No! I was just... I was just wondering. You know, just to have better control of our schedules." Lara said, trying to appear relaxed.
You nodded your head, smiling slightly at the girl who was scrambled in your words.
"Well, bye, drive carefully." Lara said, waving at you and turning her back, walking back to where the Kats were spying on all the interaction from afar.
When Lara turned her back, she lost your knowing smile, knowing the Indian girl's intentions, but wanting to see how long it would last. And well, for the same reason Lara lost your smile, you lost the girl's face of frustration. Lara closed her eyes tightly as she turned her back to you, her head nodding in denial discreetly, for the embarrassment she had just gone through.
(...)
After all this happened, the Kats decided to do something to get a confession from Lara. None of the girls could stand the passionate sighs and the Indian girl constantly talking about you in every corner of the house. That's when they had the brilliant idea, all the girls knew that Lara was jealous with her things, she didn't share. And even if you weren't from Lara (yet), the Kats knew that the red-haired girl would react if she saw someone wanting what was (still be) hers.
That morning, Manon was strange with you. The curly girl was talking to you more than the others, she was constantly close to you and her touches on your arm took much longer than usual. You were even more sure that something was wrong when it was Lara's turn to enter the booth to record. Manon dragged her chair close to yours, putting her head on your shoulder, as you tried to give Lara instructions.
The girl mentioned was on fire, if you were in a cartoon for sure smoke would come out of the Indian girl's ears. Lara was steaming with rage, not only because Manon was clearly hitting on you, but also because it was Manon, and she knew Lara had a crush on you. In Lara's mind, none of that made sense, and for a moment she just wanted to get out of that booth, pull you somewhere, tell you to stay away from Manon and kiss you until you begged her to let you breathe. Then, after recording her part, Lara quickly left the booth, standing next to you and Manon, with an unfriendly expression.
"Yn, can we talk quickly in the hallway?" Lara asked, her gaze was burning your head and you for a moment wondered if you had done something wrong.
"Hm, sure..." You said, being interrupted by Manon settling more on your shoulder.
"Does it have to be now? I'm so comfortable." Manon said.
The Kats were static, all looking at the scene as if they were about to watch a boxing match, who would throw the first punch? Sophia began to slightly regret the idea of making Lara jealous. But what did she expect? You should never release a hungry lion from the cage hoping that it will not attack you.
"Yes, it has to be now." Lara said, and everyone in the room could have sworn they heard her gritting her teeth.
"Alright, come on, no problem." You said, wanting to avoid anything that was brewing there.
As soon as you stood up, Lara grabbed your wrist, quickly pulling you out of the room, walking a little down the huge hallway, until she found a dead end, pulling you there and pushing you against the wall.
"Do you like Manon?" Lara asked, crossing her arms and looking at you with an angry expression.
"What?" You answered.
"Do you like her getting on top of you and touching you all the time, Yn?"
"I... I don't know..."
"I, i, i, i." Lara mocked you, making you even more confused. "Do you like her, Yn? Do you want to ask her out? Do you want to date her?" Lara bombarded you with questions, making you a little overwhelmed.
"My god, no, I don't like Manon! I don't even know why she's acting like this. I want to ask you out, but I never find the right time. I'm sorry." You said, raising your hands in surrender.
Lara, realizing that she had gotten out of control, was paralyzed. She couldn't believe she had done such a shameful thing. Still perplexed, the Indian girl took two steps back, putting her hands to her mouth.
"Yn, my god. I'm sorry, I don't... I didn't want to blow up on you." Lara said, running one of her hands through her hair, trying to understand everything she did. "I... I was just frustrated with everything, I was trying to ask you out for so long, that I didn't even realize how stupid I was being."
"Alright, I just wish you hadn't thrown me against the wall so hard." You said, laughing lightly, making Lara laugh with you. "But since you've said everything you wanted, can we finally have our date?" You asked, looking down slightly to see Lara's eyes.
"Do you still want to hang out with me after all this?" Lara asked, scratching the back of her neck nervously as she put her other hand in the back pocket of her pants, embarrassingly cute.
"Of course! Only promise me not to crash into a car if the waitress at the restaurant decides to flirt with me." You said, laughing before Lara slapped your abdomen a little, laughing lightly.
"Shut up."

This has a part two, because I received two requests from jealous Lara and I had the idea of doing them in the same "universe"
This chapter tells the past, when they were still getting to know each other, in the next one they are already dating, and we will be able to see more of Lara being jealous. :)
xoxo, spider.

Rafe and you were on our way to a kook party, which had been the talk of Kildcare for quite some time. The traffic lights made the drive take ten minutes. Rafe had his right hand on your thigh and the other on the steering wheel.
Rafe let out a breath, turning his head in your direction as you look out the passenger window, "Y/N before we get to the party, please be on your best behavior tonight," you turn your head around looking at him confused.
"And what if I'm not on my best behavior?" You smirk, tilting your head to the side.
Rafe laughs as he turns the corner toward the house. "You already know what will happen, princess," he says in the tone that just gets you going.
One thing about you have a bad attitude towards everyone around you. You have a short temper and become overstimulated easily. Rafe is the only person who can calm you down and behave in certain situations.
You say what needs to be said and don't care whose feelings get hurt. You have no fear confronting someone that's been talking about you or anyone you care for in a negative way.
If anything, Rafe and you are nearly the same, except you are worse.
The party has undoubtedly been the topic of much discussion during the last week. Outside, music can be heard, as can voices. Rafe held your hand as you two entered the big house, which smelled of weed, alcohol, people making out, and bodies grinding against each other. To move around the house, you have to squeeze.
A few guys recognized Rafe- calling out his name, waving, or dabbing him up.
"The fuck you looking at?" You question a group of girls who give you a filthy look as you walk past them with Rafe.
Rafe squeezed your waist after you snapped at the girls, "remember what I said princess."
You rolled your eyes as you let out a huff at his comment but on the inside you wanted to get on your knees for that man. There's something about the way the word princess rolls off his tongue.
Rafe and you parted ways after spending a majority of time together in the first half n hour. He went to hang out with the guys, while you are with some of your girlfriends. You two trust each other enough to be away from each other at parties like these.
He was out on the balcony which wasn't far from where you were. So if anything were to happen he would be there in a second.
Your girlfriends and you were in the living room, sitting on the couch with drinks in our hands after dancing for thirty minutes in the large crowd to the music which was still packed with sweaty bodies rubbing against one another.
"This party is packed," Olivia, one of your girlfriends, exclaimed while gazing around.
The rest of you are nodding in agreement with Olivia's comment.
"Josh will have a lot to pick up in the morning," you say, taking a sip from your drink, talking about the guy who's hosting the party.
You noticed the group of girls you snapped at earlier walking up to where you and your friends were seated; they stood close enough for you to hear what they were saying.
You tell your friends about the little incident. They all agreed it wasn't that big of a deal. You were wondering why they were giving you a dirty look for no reason.
"Can you believe that bitch came in with her guy earlier? I can't believe Rafe is even with that girl," the girl shouts to her friends, clearly affected by the situation. Her friends all agreed and saying their imput.
Who do these girls think they are? You think.
Thalia's jaw dropped as she heard what the girl said. Thalia rushes to look at you, but she already sees you standing up to confront the group of girls.
"This isn't going to end well, get Rafe right now," Olivia runs towards Thalia, pointing to the balcony.
Thalia sprints to the balcony to grab Rafe and the guys. Olivia looks in your direction with worry- she knows you like the back of her hand.
"Like Rafe can do so much better than that sl-" The girl was cut off when you poked her on the shoulder. She turns around about to see who tapped her but shuts her mouth when it's you.
"You wanna finish what you were gonna say?" You ask in a serious tone, crossing your arms over your chest, "because it's really funny hearing you lame asses talking shit about me over something so minor," you remark with a straight face.
Your blood was boiling.
The girl that was talking the most scoffs, putting her hair over her shoulder. "I said that Rafe can do much better than being with a slut like you" she steps close to your face.
Her little posy agreed and putting in their input.
These bitches sound dumb.
You can't help but laugh: "You sound very insecure, you all do in fact," pointing at them. "Calling me a bitch because I clapped back cause you three were giving me a dirty look when I walked in mind my business with my boyfriend?" The tone in your voice indicated that you were not messing around.
She puts her index finger on your chest, "Oh honey that's not us being insecure it's just us stating facts. Plus you are a bitch" she says giving a fake smile.
The moment her finger laid on your chest everything in you was telling you to rip her face off.
You forcefully swap her hand off your chest, taking her off guard with your strength. She glances at you, slightly afraid, but remains calm. Her friends' eyes almost fell out of their sockets.
Other's around have their phones out and waiting for something to happen. To them this is entertainment.
"Am I a bitch for calling you out for giving me a dirty look? Listen, bitch, I have never met you before in my life. I don't care what comes out of my mouth because I'll say what needs to be said." At this point, you are eating the girl up and she has nothing else to say since she knows you are correct.
After you finish your sentence, she rolls her eyes and extends her arms, pushing you back slightly, taking you by surprise. She glances at you, still wanting more. You aren't the kind to fight, but she put her hands on you first.
Your girlfriends rush over immediately. No matter what happens your girls will always have your back.
Before you swung you felt two strong arms wrap themselves around your waist, pulling you away from the fight that's about to happen.
"What did I tell you princess?" Rafe calmly asks you in your ear. He could feel the tension in your body on a hundred.
The group of girls begin giggling, "Aw, you need your boyfriend to pull you away from that mu-" Rafe instantly hushed her up, "You shut the fuck up!" he said sternly, pointing at her and gazing at her straight-faced.
Others around started laughing.
Rafe halted in front of the host, Josh, and told him to kick the group of girls out of the party. Josh nods and instructs the girls to leave due of the ruckus they created.
Rafe took you upstairs to a room for you to cool down. He knows what to do in situations like these- always gives you reassurance, gives you a cold bottle of water, telling you that everything's going to be okay and to take deep breath's.
When your body is placed on the bed carefully, you let out a frustrated sigh, running your hands through your hair, shaking your head. Ranting about the encounter that happened.
Rafe stands between your open legs, gently grasping your chin with his thumb and pointer finger, and tilting your head back slightly to make eye contact with him.
"Princess you are okay, focus on the sound of my voice, yeah?" He says in a calming tone that relaxes you, placing the front section of your hair behind your ear.
The more Rafe calms you down the more relaxed you feel. Words cannot explain how you appreciated him. You can't imagine how you could get out of this moment without him helping you out of it.
"There you go, just keep repeating that," Rafe says as you take long breathes in and out.
Once you calmed down enough you looked up to Rafe, still standing between your legs, looking at you with his blue eyes.
"Thank you for calming me down- I love you," you say, smiling with your teeth, "of course, anything for my girl. I know how you get in these types of situations and it's my job to calm you down" he says before kissing your lips softly.
When he pulls away you ask him the question, "Are you mad at me?" You asked curiously.
"No, I'm not, but it was really hot seeing you like that," he grins as he plays with the gold necklace he got you with his first initial.
You cover your face with your palm, blushing. Rafe takes your hand away, putting it back on your lap and moving closer to you, causing your back to hit the bed's comforter.
You two look into each other's eyes and then kiss. The sexual tension in the room starts to rise. You both crave each other's touch in the most intimate way.
"I want you Rafe," you moan between kisses, "so bad" dragging out the d, running your hands down his clothed chest.
"I'm all yours."

yesterday while feverish i wrote about how boats can moor next to each other like pigeons, cooing with the gentle rap of water against their hull. you once said that that the way i see things - birds in the water, feathers in marina paint - was "childish and naive." you said i'd been misdiagnosed - "it can't all be adhd. you might be just kind of stupid and lazy."
i still do certain things like how you taught me - turn the pillow case inside out before putting it on. drive defensively. hate myself entirely.
the prompt for this poem is "mahler's fifth." i wish it wasn't, but mahler's fifth was our song. it ended up in my book. every person that knows your name has promised me they'll give you one swift rabbit punch, right to the face. dean read the book and showed up on my front porch, drenched in sweat from running the 8 miles at 4 in the morning. he was shaking. pacifist and gentle - he works with children - i'd never seen him furious. a punch isn't going to do it, he said, and then said i'm sorry. i had to come to see if you were okay.
mahler's fifth was mine first, like my girlhood. i like the way each movement piles onto the next movement, each instrument bleeding into the next. i like the horn version the best. before i met you, i danced to it on grass still-wet from sprinklers.
later you would tell me that the way you heard it was somehow better. you understood something in it that i couldn't quite wrap my fingers into. once, on our anniversary, you asked the classical music radio station to play it for us. we missed hearing it because we were fighting. one of the things people get wrong about abuse is that sometimes victims are, like, brutally aware of the stupidity of our situation. what do you mean that you thought i wasn't good enough for you? you? you're just... nothing.
sometimes people can pull the poetry out of your life. i watched my words become clothesline, and then thin out into kite twine. i watched you chew through every good syllable of me. so many good songs and places and moments were ruined. i am glad you didn't like most of my music - less to tie back to you.
but still mahler's fifth. the music swells, and i am 21 and throwing up in a bathroom on my birthday. a woman i will later refer to as lesbian jesus runs a cool hand down my back, her perfect pantsuit starch-pressed. she told me to leave you. she said - and this is true, and not an invention of rhyme or fantasy - i'm you from the future.
i am 22, and i got home from an award ceremony, and i remember you telling me - you act so proud of yourself when you're actually so fucking embarrassing. i took you to disney world. you took my virginity. i gave up visiting spain for a week with my family - i instead choose you, to spend the time just-cuddling. you called it "our fuck week." the music swells. it probably should have been a red flag that for about 3 years - i just gave up on crying. my grandfather died and you said nothing. my uncle died and you ghosted me for 3 weeks. you said i need to protect myself from your ongoing tragedy.
every so often i come back to the memory of one of our last afternoons in person. i had just told you that i wasn't going to law school, despite the free ride - i was going to join a creative writing program. master's in fine arts. i was going to finally do it - i was going to follow my dreams. this blog was already internet-famous. however reluctantly, i would occasionally refer to myself as a poet. i got into umass amherst's writing program for fiction authors. it is one of the the top 5 programs in the country.
wait are you seriously considering actually attending that? dumbfounded, you turned completely towards me in your seat. for the 3rd time in our relationship, you almost crashed the car. you actually want to be a writer?
the first time i went viral, it was for a poem i wrote about you:
he wants to say i love you but keeps it to goodnight because love will take some falling and she's afraid of heights.
every time i see that, i want to throw up. you weren't in love with me, you were in love with the control you had over me. a little truth though: i am afraid of heights. you caught a rabbitgirl and skinned her alive.
mahler's fifth still makes me sick.
give me that back. give me back music. give me back everything i had before you. give me back fearlessness. give me back bravery. give me back a scarless body.
give me back what you took from me.

Family swap: Boys just wanna have fun!
Tumblr media
My name is Robert Philip Cornell. I come from a very succesful family of lawyers. And in order to honor my family's legacy I continued in this tradition. Therefore I hope that one of my sons, preferably both, will continue this path as well. Unfortunately my twins, Richard and Philip, are very much like me and their mother. Inteligent, very good looking and thanks to our wealth, powerful. And they know how to use that. But sometimes I wonder if they should appreciate our legacy more than they do now. If you asked me right now and I answered that they were high, drunk or fucking someone, I'd definitely hit atleast one of the three if not all of them.
I was in Johannesburg to help close a company I represent a great deal. After signing we ended having a few coctails and then I left the group to my hotel room. Suddenly a WhatsApp message came to my mobile phone. From my wife Anna
"I'm sorry for interupting your meeting. Call me asap when you're free. It's the boys"
Oh god. What now? I dialed my wife's phone number
Anna:"Hey love. How was the meeting?"
Robert:"Hi, all went well. What's happening?"
Anna:"Philip took the boat. Richard covered him and as soon as the boat left the harbour he followed him. They just wanted to trick me. So now they're once again having a party on the sea, absolutely high as always. I just hope the cost guard will be understanding once again"
Robert:"Honey. I know you mean well with them, but I think it's time"
Anna:"Robert no. You can't be serious. Don't you remember what happened with your father and you when you two did this? Your father wanted to 'teach you a lesson', then you spent a shit ton of money and almost destroyed his reputation."
Robert:"And look where it got me. I know that the boys will understand eventually"
Anna:"So what are you gonna do? It wouldn't be fair to swap only one of them and there isn't another male figure left in your family to swap them with"
Robert:"I wasn't thinking of a male figure to be honest"
Anna:"Are you crazy? One of my sons in my FEMALE body? Robert, I don't think I'm comfortable with that. I can't imagine one of them treating my body decently"
Robert:"I am not happy with one of them ruining my image too or even treating my and yours body, but I believe that they will learn the lesson soon enough. Besides, wouldn't you wanna take those two teen hormonal bodies for a spin?"
Anna:"You're a tease Robert... when?"
Robert:"How about right now? I am in a hotel room. So let's say, Richard can try to get out of South Africa back home and Philip now can try to figure out and stress alone in your body on an island, how to get their original bodies back"
Anna:"Robert... you're evil. Then I am looking forward to see you in a minute"
Robert:"See you soon, my love"
A few minutes passed since Robert wanted to write down some instructions and so did Anna
Richard and Philip were on a yacht, blasting music and approaching the beach of the city they were headed to. Suddenly a text message sound. Philip opened the message first. It said:"Since you boys want to be on your own and enjoy everything life has to offer, we give you our bodies to take care of and with them the duties of maintaining our family image. Yes, you now have to work, yes you have to provide for the family. And yes, one of you will be a female. Treat our bodies with respect and we will do the same."
Philip:"Dude is dad tripping? What the hell is that?"
Richard:"I think I'm too high for this, bro"
A very nauseating feeling that didn't originate from the waves of the sea sweat through the two teens. Both trying hard not to vomit
Richard's P.O.V.
The feeling passed. There was a bright artificial light around him and he felt water coming down his chest. Wait what? How did he get in the shower? Was he that high that he didn't even remember the boat landing, the party or anything?
Richard looked down on his chest
Tumblr media
"What the fuck?!?" a deep voice echoed the walls of the shower
"Philip? Did you bleach my chest hair? They're grey you fucker. And what the hell happened to my voice? I sound like dad."
I wasn't paying much attention to myself and what was actually happening. I just took a towel, exitted the shower and tried to find out where the hell I was. I looked around and couldn't find much. It was a pretty normal hotel room, on the bed I saw my fathers briefcase and his clothes. There was a note on the bed:"Wanted to hand you everything clean and ready. BEHAVE and don't ruin my body! Love, dad"
"What the actual fuck is this?"
The reality was starting to him the. The text message, the note, the chest hair. I was scared to look in the mirror, but there was no other way of knowing
Tumblr media
"You son of a bitch!" he really did it. My new reflection wasn't the one I was used to, but seemed like my much older one and a but distorted along with a beard. My father is a very handsome man, I have to give him that. But it is very different from the point of view of his son. Your parents aren't suppose to be hot, they're disgusting to you no matter how they look. Yet here I was standing, watching my father's muscular, grey-haired torso. His veins on his biceps. His piercing eyes that I knew very precisely, cause these ones were the ones that raised me. The ones that always seemed the most disappointed.
Tumblr media
But now. I was behind these eyes. And my father did this to me on purpose. He wanted to give me another life lesson. "You know what dad? Fuck you!"
I dropped the towel I put around my waist before to reveal a hairy flacid dick. Ew, I never thought I would see my father's dick from this point of view. We'll here we are. But it's not bad to be honest. Might give it a little trim and the chicks would dig it.
I took a second before doing that to really think hard. I had to look away from the mirror causing watching my father jerk off wasn't something I would get off to daily. But watching this nice cock get hard in my hands as I was palying with these hairy balls and the foreskin, that was something. Looking down I was really proud. I am still muscular, I look amazing and I got a nice dick. Doesn't matter what dad does to me. I'll enjoy this punishment.
I grabbed my new dick hard. I squeezed it until I felt pain. And then I started jerking it. I spit in my hand and played with the head, almost instantly. I stopped and resumed jerking. I was hairy everywhere. I wasn't used to that. I wasn't even thinking about this body as my father's anymore.
My right hand was curious enough to get into the jungle between my buttcheeks. And what a jungle it is. I spit into that hand as well.
"Sorry, daddy. Boys just wanna have fun"
I pushed one finger inside. I could that this body has never experinced that. I'll enjoy that even more. I pushed in another finger and then kept on pushing until I couldn't. I felt my new prostate. So sensitive! I pushed and pulled. Almost forgetting to jerk off at the same time. I got in sync and could only scream in pleasure. I was so close. I could feel the sensation building up. If I were in my body I would stop to take care of the mess in time. But I didn't care. I let it pour outside off me. The cum got into my chest hair and on my abs. I let out a sight of relief
Collapsed on the bed, I noticed dad's phone lighting up. Mom was calling. Wait, is it really mom or is Philip also swapped? I gotta know. I took the phone to my ear and answered
Philip:"Those fuckers. What are we gonna do about them?"
Richard:"I don't know about you, but I just had the best orgasm in my life"
Philip:"You're so disgusting Rich, that's our fathers body, you know that?"
Richard:"Yeah, but that didn't stop me. And I don't think you should stop either. The women say that their orgasm is so much more intense, so now you'll know"
Philip:"I don't know if I am ok with that. It's our mother's pussy, bro"
Richard:"Yeah and? I just fingered our father ass. Suck it up big boy. I'll send you a location. I'll take a plane and we'll meet there?"
Philip:"You're nasty bro. See you there I guess. Wait, wait do you know what is this tiny weird thing sticking out at the top of the vagina?"
I packed my fahter's things and set off to meet my bro, or wife?. I went to the local mall and slightly altered my visage. Do you think they'll let me inside of the plane like this? Oh and one tiny request I gotta send to our butler
Tumblr media
Robert and Anna's P.O.V.
Tumblr media
Anna:"I must admit, Robert, I haven't felt so full off energy in ages!"
Robert:"That might be the drugs the boys took, haha"
Anna:"No, seriously. The boys got great bodies, but our bodies aren't as much vital as these ones. We have to go do something!"
Robert:"How about we continue in the plans that the boys had? Might be fun"
Tumblr media
We arrived to an empty beach with no one in sight.
Robert:"Did you check the coordinates?"
Anna:"Sorry, dear but I am still very high. I am still surprised we didn't crash the boat"
Robert:"Haha. It's so funny to see Philip call me honey. Haha, jesus. I think I am still also high"
Anna:"Wanna maybe lie down here and just... chill. Or how do the kids these days call it?"
Robert:"Haha. 'Kids these days'. Philip looks like a nostalgic senior now"
Anna in Philip's body laughed. "Yeah and what are you? A teen king who knows all the trends?" she ran up to him and pushed him on the ground
Both boys's bodies still very high. They very playfully fighting in the sand. Rolling around, like two teenage boys would
Suddenly Anna planted Robert a kiss. Robert was shocked and stared at her not returning it
Anna:"I still see you as you. I don't care what bodies we're in. Even if we were worms I'd ¹still love you"
Robert:"Anna, I... don't think I can do this"
Anna grabbed Robert's new hard dick and looked back at him:"Then don't think at all. Just love me"
Anna kissed him again and this time Robert kissed back. He felt the love his wife had for him and kissed the another boys body back.
Tumblr media
The two identical boys now with their hands all over their bodies. Exploring each other as if it were a mirror. A mirror that they made out. A mirror that they were caressing and pressing their hard dick against.
Ther dicks were out. Anna in Philip's body just laughed as she felt her husband sucking her dick:"I understand why you always beg me. This is so goood. Keep going!"
Robert didn't believe what he was doing, but he couldn't really keep thinking that or else he would go mad. Sucking his son's dick was definitely not on his bucket list.
Robert got into a 69 position. Twins giving each other the same pleasure. What a sight for horny eyes.
They didn't talk. They were mouthful, so there was no room for talking. Each gagging on each others dick. Giving pleasure to the other one. Thursting and enjoying the same feeling from the other. They were close very close. And they both came almost at the same time. They got some perfecting to do.
They were in each other's arms, naked on the beach sand. Enjoying the view of the other one. Just smiling at each other.
And just then, the family Butler arrived with security to the beach.
Nigel:"Good afternoon gentlemen. I have strickt orders from your parents to transport you back to your house and to enroll you back into high school. You have your senior year to finish and you have to pass all your exams. Your parents also gave a strict rule of no alcohol, no drugs and no visits in your home. Shall we leave?"
Robert to Anna:"Oh that's what I forgot. Fuck, Richard is good. This is gonna be very good for him. I think he'll be the next one to continue."
Anna:"Did you just hear what Nigel said, honey?"
Robert:"All I heard was that I will spend a lot off tíme together with the love of my life. I don't care how painful it will be. We get to be young again and together. And don't forget that the boys share bedroom, honey." I saw Anna blushing and smile as she opened the car door.
Tumblr media
Richard a Philip's P.O.V.
Philip:"Are you sure we're safe like this?"
Richard:"Yeah, bro. They're gonna have to go to high school and all. Nigel already has them at home. We get to live no without nagging"
Philip:"Yeah, so amazing to have no nagging, but If you haven't noticed I am the one with mums pussy."
Richard:"And I bet it's hungry for dick"
Philip:"Why on earth didn't they swap you into mum instead of me. I'm not even bi. I won't enjoy the sex as much as you will"
Richard;"Ok, I promile that tonight I'll show you that you're now definitely on the spectrum and that I now have a magnificent dick that will make you very happy"
Philip:"Fine. So, we gonna party now or what?"
Richard:"The festival hasn't even started yet and you wanna party already. I think we're now the oldest people here dude."
Philip:"Well then let's show them how older people party!"
Tumblr media
An inbox story that I played with a tiny bit :D
Could you write a story about parents swapping bodies with their twin kids since they don’t behave. Now the parents in the boys body must go to school and enjoy their youth while the boys in their parents bodies have to give to work and be responsible.
If you haven't seen your story yet, don't worry I got a lot of them in the inbox, some of them are partially written in the drafts and are now just waiting for me to have more time and be horny enough to finish them 😈

Clouds, Fog and Mists
The scholars and archeologists that Aang had been working with had come out of their museum basements and dimly lit studies with a wealth of Air Nomad histories and artifacts that had been lost during the war. Aang now had access to recipes he hadn't tasted in years, scrolls that gave historical context to the things he had just begun learning at age 12, and objects he had never seen, but was excited to learn the use of. At 22, he was just now learning that the Air Nomads had a variety of subcultures and customs he'd never encountered, even though he had visited every Air Temple that existed back then.
"Did you know..." became as common to his vocabulary as "hello" and "custard tart". Every day, he approached his wife with some new bit of lore he'd learned.
"Did you know that the Southern Air Nomads had a Festival of Remembrance?" he'd excitedly asked as Katara was hanging the laundry out to try. She was only half listening while she tried to keep Bumi, their nearly three year old son out of the basket of wet sheets, but she gave a polite hum of encouragement.
"For a whole week," Aang continued needing no further prompting, "no one was allowed to play music or speak. They even wore velvet over their feet so their footsteps wouldn't be too loud. Then, at the end of it, there was a huge party! Loud as anything with music and plays and games. I think I remember going one of those ending parties, but I didn't know about the vow of silence before it."
"That's fascinating, sweetie," Katara said, rubbing her heavy belly with a look of discomfort. She was seven months along with their second child, and this one was very active. "Bumi, last warning. Do not touch the clean clothes!"
"Okay, Mommy!" Bumi said before swatting at one of the sheets Katara had hung on the line. She sighed and turned to her husband.
"Can you take him?" she asked. "I'm tired, and I'd like to take a nap after I finish this."
"Oh," Aang said reluctantly. "I was going to have an afternoon session with the Acolytes. I'm dying to tell them what I've been learning."
"Aang, please?" Katara sagged tiredly, taking Bumi's hand and pulling him away from all her hard work.
"Alright," Aang sighed. "I'll watch him for a bit. Come on, Bumi! Let's go practice some air katas! I want you to be ready when your airbending kicks in!"
-:-:-:-:-:-
All Air Nomads were airbenders. That's what Aang had always been taught. He had to account for late bloomers, of course, but at age four, going on five, if Bumi was going to be an airbender, there would've been signs by now. Kya was a lost cause. She had started waterbending just before her second birthday, and despite the fact that her father was the Avatar, there was no chance that she would inherit the ability to control more than one element.
"Well, maybe it's not true that all Air Nomads were benders," Katara said with a shrug. "After all, not every Water Tribesman is a waterbender, and not everyone in the Earth Kingdom is an earthbender."
"It's different," Aang insisted. "The monks told me that all Air Nomads were benders because we have a unique connection with our spirituality." Katara didn't quite manage to hide her annoyance from him.
"Then explain our kids," she said. "Unless you're the first Air Nomad in history to have children with a non-Air Nomad, someone somewhere got something wrong." Aang went quiet after that. He had no response.
"Just because the Air Nomads may have had children with people from other nations doesn't mean that their children were Air Nomads," an acolyte named Qiao said. She was one of the most apt and studious of Aang's Air Acolytes, and they had spent many hours together pouring over the newly discovered texts. Sometimes, Aang thought that she had a better grasp of Air Nomad culture than even he did.
"I suppose....I suppose that's true," Aang said thoughtfully, taking a sip of his tea.
"The Air Nomads were mostly not monogamous," Qiao pointed out. "I'm sure there were a lot of Nomads who had understandings with their lovers from other nations. Especially among the Air Acolytes of the day."
Aang pondered that for the rest of the day. Then the next. Then the rest of the week before he finally approached Katara. He found her by the fountain with Kya and Bumi. Kya was busy making imperfect little shapes with the water while Katara was teaching Bumi how to put his hair into a warrior's wolf tail.
"You look just like your uncle Sokka," she laughed, pressing a kiss on her son's cheek. "I bet you'll be a great warrior just like him, too." That twisted Aang's gut uncomfortably. He cleared his throat to get Katara's attention.
"Hey, sweetie," he said.
"Hey," Katara smiled at him. "We're just about to have story time. Do you want to stick around for How Umiak Rowed Her Boat to the Stars?"
"Oh, um..."Aang shifted uncomfortably on his feet. "Sure. I was just...thinking of something."
"Yeah?" Katara raised her brow at him. "What?"
"I was just thinking of how all the Air Nomads were benders." Katara didn't bother trying to hide her disgusted snort or the rolling of her eyes.
"Okay, and?" she huffed. "Did you draw any new conclusions?"
"I can't have been the only Air Nomad to have children with someone from a different culture," he said. Katara stared at him blankly for a long moment.
"I told you that," she responded finally. "It's just now sinking in?'
"No, I understood you," Aang told her. He kicked at the ground. There was a loose pebble under his toe and he focused on rolling it back and forth. "It's just...well, the Air Nomads, they weren't strictly monogamous."
"Monogamous," Katara scoffed. "That's a big word for you." Aang bristled a bit at that, but he took a breath and let it go.
"I was just reading," Aang said with a shrug. "It occurred to me that maybe because the Air Nomads weren't monogamous, they just didn't bring their non-bending kids into the Air Nomad society." Katara looked up at Aang with her eyes wide.
"That's awful!" she said. "So because their kids didn't bend the right elements, they had to be cut off from one of their parents?"
"No, I'm sure it wasn't as bad as all that-" Aang started to protest.
"What exactly are you saying, Aang?" There was a dangerous edge to Katara's voice. A warning.
"Nothing, nothing!" he scrambled back, tripping over his tongue, trying to call back his words, and cursing himself for trying to bring up the subject without a plan. Katara eyed him coldly. She was angry and trying not to show it.
"It's time for lunch," she told her children. "Let's go inside and fix something to eat."
"But Mommy," Bumi protested. "I want to hear about Umiak!" Katara turned to him with a tight smile.
"That's okay, sweetie," she said. "I'll tell you while you help me fix lunch." With one last scowl at Aang, she took Bumi's hand and swung Kya up onto her hip and went inside.

Aang felt vindicated when it was discovered that he and Qiao were right. The Air Nomads would often leave non-airbending children with their non-Nomad parents. Sometimes the Air Nomad parent would stay with their non-Nomad partners and build a life with them and their children (something he made a note to tell Katara about). Then it was discovered that they were only partially right.
Some of the Air Nomads stayed and raised mixed heritage families. Some left their non-airbending children behind with their non-Nomad partners. That was expected. Reasonable, even. What Aang was not expecting, however, were the accounts of non-airbending children being given away. Some were adopted, and those adoptions were traceable through documents and letters. Others were sold. Those transactions were traceable, too. By most accounts, those children went into indentured servitude and many of them learned trades and were able to start businesses once their indenture was up. Aang tried to focus on the positives. Katara, however, was horrified.
"What right did they have to sell those children into...into slavery?" she demanded hotly while they were getting ready for bed.
"I'm sure it wasn't that bad," Aang insisted. "After all, the Air Nomads wouldn't have put children into situations where they could've been hurt."
"Yes," Katara sneered. "I'm sure their new owners were very gentle with their exploitation."
"That isn't fair!" Aang protested. "Do you know how difficult it would've been for those kids to live among the Nomads?"
"Probably about as easy as it's been for our kids." Katara glared at Aang meaningly. He felt his cheeks heat as he looked away, pretending not to understand.
Bumi was going on eight now, and Kya was five. They were both old enough to ask questions about why it was so difficult for them to move around their own home. Katara and the Acolytes had an easier time being adults and able to maneuver obstacles that short legs and small hands couldn't without help, but it was still a regular challenge to get around the Air Temple for them. Aang was in the process of building a complex near Republic City where non-airbending Acolytes could live and learn with more ease, but it wouldn't be ready for anyone to move into for another year or so. It would be safer for children with no airbending ability, too. Aang glanced over at Katara from the corner of his eye, at the soft swell of her stomach, already showing signs of pregnancy at her second month.

Tenzin was the last of Aang's children with Katara, and the only airbender. When he was almost one, he airbent for the first time, and Aang couldn't stop celebrating for an entire week. When Tenzin was two, the first of the burial mounds were discovered.
Archaeologists working at the mostly restored Northern Air Temple found it at the base of the mountain. There were several layers to the grave, suggesting generations' worth of use. Most of the bones were small. Infant and toddler sized. The largest bones were about the size of an average eight year old. The bones were all jumbled together, as if they had been tossed in a heap. Some of them wore the clothes they were buried in, but most of the bones were too broken to hang on to any frabric. There were also no signs of any shrouds or anything indicating that they had been given any of the customary funeral rites of the Air Nomads. The fact that they were found at the base of the mountain in itself was unusual. All the different groups of Air Nomads had their own unique funeral customs, but one thing that remained the same was that they were laid to rest as close to the sky as possible.
When the first reports of how the children came to be at the base of the mountain came out, Aang was certain it was the rankest propaganda. None of the Air Nomads, no matter how stringent they were about non-airbenders living among them, would ever harm a child. For a while, he seemed to be right, as all the proof was from secondary and tertiary sources.
"Lies the Fire Nation used to justify genocide," Aang said confidently.
"But how did the children get there?" Katara asked. Aang had no answer for her. Yet. There must have been a good one, though. Maybe a plague had run through the Air Temple, forcing them to bury the bodies at the bottom of the mountain to prevent contamination, or something equally tragic. Aang began talking to the archaeologists about giving the bones a proper burial as soon as they could be sorted. The count at that time was 700 bodies in the pile and there were still so many more to go.
A few months after that, the oldest of the Air Nomad accounts were uncovered. It went back a good 300 years, and it spoke about a surplus of infants born without the gift of airbending. There were too many to be disposed of the normal ways, and many of the non-bending parents were unwilling or unable to raise the children themselves. The anonymous monk wrote of a meeting to discuss the crisis. They wouldn't be able to care for so many that couldn't get around the temple, or travel with the Nomads. There was a food shortage. A water shortage. An everything shortage. So the head monk suggested giving the children to the air. That had been the first time the practice had been recorded, near as anyone could tell. But some of the bones were older than that.
That's what they called it. It sounded lovely. Poetic even. In practice, though, the babies were carried to the edge of the temple grounds and held in the air. A short prayer was said for the souls of the children, and then they just...let go. They were so high up, they probably couldn't hear the children hit the ground.
The public began to call them the Fog Children. They were babies born to Air Nomad parents, but without airbending abilities themselves. People clung to the term and it soon spread all over the world in hushed whispers. Aang hated it. Katara hated it. It was the only thing they could agree on by that time.
"It isn't fair!" Aang bemoaned. "It's like people are using it to justify the Fire Nation killing all the Air Nomads."
"If it bothers you so much," Katara said after she'd put the kids to bed, "then speak up! Condemn what they did."
"I do!" Aang insisted. He had protested, loudly that all of the Air Nomads shouldn't be judged by what one fringe sect did.
"Not just them," Katara said. "All of it. It's just like with the Fire Nation. Remember what Zuko said? You can't expect to move forward without acknowledging the past. All of it was wrong. The Air Nomads treated their non-bending children as if they had no value. Condemn the adoptions and abandonings and the selling of the children!"
"How is it my responsibility to make up for all of that?" Aang demanded.
"You're the only one left," Katara reminded him, trying to be gentle. "I'm not saying you have to call the Air Nomads monsters. They did something wrong. They were human. You can acknowledge that and commit to being better than that."
"How?"
"Start with your children."
It had been a frequent argument between Katara and Aang how Aang treated their children. Bumi was 13 now, well on his way to becoming a man. Kya was 11 and Tenzin was five. Often, Katara would quiz Aang on his children- what Kya's favorite color was, or the name of Bumi's best friend. Aang could admit that he was correct about Tenzin more often than the others, but it was only because Aang had so much he had to teach his youngest. Katara should've understood that. After all, there were things she did with Kya that she couldn't do with Bumi or Tenzin.
"It's not the same," Katara told him. Aang could never remember why, though.
For the next year or so, Aang spent much of his time doing damage control. He did his best to separate the practices at the Northern Air Temple and the particular sect of Air Nomad culture that grew around it from the rest of the Air Nomads. Every criticism of the culture was met sharply by Aang's rebuttals and justifications. Penning article after article espousing the virtues of the Air Nomads at large became his full time job, and obsession. It took him two weeks to notice that Katara had left with all three of his children, and another month for him to find the letter Katara had left in his bedside table telling him she was seeking a divorce.
He got Tenzin three months of the year. It was all he could manage, being completely unused to parenting alone. Aang taught his son what he could of airbending and the Nomad philosophy he could in that time, and did his best to ignore the people whispering fog children in the same breath as his oldest children.

We're Breaking Up

IMAGINE: WE'RE BREAKING UP~ GOJO X READER GENRE: FLUFF warnings: not proof read. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The world around you blurred as you drove behind the wheel. You were zoning out to the tranquil music that surrounded you. All was peaceful, until the loud ringing of your cell phone cut through the Bluetooth speaker.
Your eyes glance down at the screen seeing the familiar name of your boyfriends name pop up.
Moving your thumb to the answer button, the familiar click of picking up the phone is heard.
“Daaaarling!” Gojo’s singing voice cuts through the speaker, causing you to flinch and lower the volume a bit.
Always so loud when answering.
“Hey, baby. I’m assuming you're done with your mission?” “Yup! And I have a special dinner planned.” You could hear the excitement in his voice causing your own feelings of giddiness.
“Ooh! I’m so excited. What do you have planned?” You ask.
“Well I… tell… that.”
Static started to interfere with his voice, causing it to breakin in and out. You notice that you were coming up to a tunnel.
“Ah, sorry, Toru. Our connection, I think we’re breaking up. So I’ll call you later. Bye!” You say, not waiting for his response and hanging up.
However, it sounded a bit different from Gojo’s perspective.
He was shopping, picking up your favorite flowers and talking to you on the phone.
“Well I can’t tell you that.” Gojo responds, happy that you were feeling just as excited as him. He could hear a bit of static on the phone but he didn’t think anything of it.
“Uh, sorry… Toru…. We’re b-breaking… up..” The line went dead causing his heart to drop.
Breaking up?! What do you mean by that?!
He frantically clicks your contact on the phone, hoping to reach you. However, the call goes straight to voicemail causing him to think of the worst.
Oh no, he simply couldn’t have this.
He turns back to the vendor, and pulls out his wallet.
“I’ll buy all of these.” Causing the vendor's eyes to widen as Gojo pulls out his black card.
With the unsuspected traffic, you ended up home a bit later than you would have liked. You see Gojo’s car in the driveway and the lights are on. You smile, excitement filling you again just from the thought of seeing him.
You grab your bag, quickly making your way into the house.
What you see next shocks you. The front of the formal living room was covered in flowers. You honestly couldn’t see any of the living space.
“Wa- what in the world…” You whisper as you look at the variety of the flowers.
“Baaabby!” Gojo shouts while throwing himself on you. “Oof.” Your arms wrap around Gojo, stabling both you and him.
“Toru’. Baby. What’s all this?”
Gojo leans back a little, a pout on his face and you couldn’t understand why he was upset.
“Please, I don’t want to break up.” He says in a low voice. It was like saying the words made the situation feel real, and he didn’t like that.
You were taken back by his words. You had no idea where this was coming from. “What? Babe, what are you talking about?” “On the phone. You said that we’re breaking up.” He responds and you raise an eyebrow at him.
“Earlier? No. I said that our connection was bad. That we were breaking up. I was driving into a tunnel.”
Gojo’s perks up hearing your words.
“So, we’re not breaking up?”
You laugh, “no, silly. You’re stuck with me.” “Good, I want to be stuck with you.”
“Is this why you bought all these flowers?” You ask him, once again looking at the outrageous amount of flowers.
He looks at you with a smug smile.
“Well, I had to bring my A-game.”
