Eddie opens the door of the trailer to find Steve. Steve with; a bunch of roses, his hair done and in his tightest jeans. Eddie is confused but Eddie can also already feel a blush coming.

'Willyougoonadatewithme?' Steve gives him a charming, all American heart throb smile and thrusts the roses at him. Eddie notices Steve's hands shaking ever so slightly as he takes them and very eloquently says, 'uh'.

In his defence it is a little backwards, considering they've had their first kiss already. It was in the back of eddies van, hidden away in the woods and it was lovely.

'I just… I.. fuck! I I wanna date you Eddie. let me take you out, treat you. What do you think?' Steve is looking at his so earnestly, being so brave. Eddie is certain he's about to explode.

'Oh my god.. You're too much. I think I'm gonna bust. Baby what the fuck!' and this time its Steve's turn to go red, managing a 'um, so is that a yes?'

'Fuck yeah!' Eddie says dropping the flowers to his side and smacking a ‘mwah!’ on Steve’s cheek. Eyes sparkling, Steve laughs at him. 'Friday at 8 then, it's a date?' '

'Consider me wooed Harrington, you still got it' Eddie winks and Steve starts to back up towards his car. 'Okay well, I gotta' he points at the BMW, 'work you know? but Friday?' he asks standing at the drivers side door, seemingly unable to leave or look away just yet.

'Yeah, Friday' Eddie smiles, lifting the flowers back up and shoving his face into them. Hoping it'll hide his dopey smile a little as he watches Steve give him one last grin before he's backing out and away into the distance.

Eddie closes and leans his back against the door with wide, unfocused eyes, unable to fathom how the fuck he ended up here.

Wayne walks out then, about to leave for work, takes one look at eddie and chuckles. 'What do I do with these?' Eddie asks, looking confused at the flowers. They're beautiful... How the fuck did this happen?! To him!?

'You can put them in water but we don't really own a vase.' Wayne muses, still amused. 'Or if you hang 'em upside down they'll last longer, use a bit of string.'

'Metal' Eddie decides, looking at the roses in awe.

Wayne shuffles over, gently nudging eddie out the way so he can leave. But, not before giving his shoulder and squeeze, 'I'm happy for ya kid, bring him over some time' he whispers with a wink.

It's the next week, after their second date and eddie is holding steves hand, pulling him through the trailer to his room. Once inside he shuffles over to fiddle with the record player.

Steve makes a little surprised grunt and Eddie spins around to see why. He's pointing at the drying flowers, gives them a little poke and looks at Eddie with a smug smile, wiggling his eyebrows.

Eddie is still embarrassed by how the flowers make him feel like a fucking puppy love teenager. Covering his face with both hands to hide his blush and flopping dramatically onto the bed, he shoves out 'no one's ever gotten me flowers before.. wanted to keep them forever.'

But Steve just laughs lightly and Eddie feels the bed dip next to where he's sprawled. 'Well I’ll get you more then, now I know u like em'. Steve rests a hand on his leg and Eddie manages to pry his hands away, sitting up on his elbows. Finally letting himself look at the lovely boy on his bed.

'Actually, I'll get you more under one condition' Steve declares with a mock serious look and one finger raised.

'And what could that possibly be?' Eddie asks, playing along.

'Call me baby again?' Steve's smile turns syrupy as his eyes soften to something a little vulnerable.

Eddie can't help it, surging forward to kiss him, over and over again. Whispering 'baby', 'baby', 'my baby' between kisses. knowing he'll never stop, he'd do anything for Steve Harrington.
