Old Man Yaoi AU future rambles
I never posted the full thing here, so I thought why not, since I'm struggling to get anything new down lol. Just copy and pasted from twitter, so forgive any weird formatting or errors!
Tumblr media
I started this not knowing where I wanted to go with it, just knowing '10 years after being gone from japan, old man yaoi afomight come back because Toshinori has a bleeding heart and AfO is along for the ride' . And I didn't know what I wanted to show exactly, just the comfort and ease at which the two acted with one another.
AfO's gonna join Toshi at the railing and hold out a hand. Knowing what he wants, Toshi's gonna pull out a pack of cigarettes and let AfO take one.
"I don't know why I still carry these." Toshi says, watching as AfO lights the cigarette with a flicker of a stolen fire quirk. "
Habit." AfO says. "The lingering effects of the leash around my neck. Does it bother you?"
All Might quirks a brow. "What? The fact that I have to carry your shit for you, even now?"
AfO chuckles. That wasn't what he meant, and Toshi knows it. That's answer enough really - the experiments, the chip in his brain (even now long destroyed), the torture that AfO went through at the hands of the HPSC - of course it still bothered Toshi.
Coming back to japan…
It's weighing on Toshi. He's here to help his former students, even though he's retired officially as a hero. Vigilantism is still frowned upon, but no-one has the balls to tell All Might to keep to the sidelines, especially now that he has a few quirks on his side. And AfO. And isn't that funny? AfO has stated many times that he refuses to lend a hand. Toshi's alright with that. He's alright with the company alone. He still marvels at the fact that AfO still kept himself leashed to-
(Guilt, self hatred, Toshi still hasn't let them go. His former enemy could throw him that crooked grin that he'd hated so much in the past and Toshi would just melt these days.)
Toshi let out a heavy breath. Being back here… it was making it so much harder to rationalize his thoughts. His emotions. AfO stood by his side through all the meetings, appearing bored out of his mind and throwing in many a snide remark, and Toshi looked at him and thought 'I should hate this man.'
He didn't, though. The heroes, his former students scurried around the former demon lord like he was going to snap at any minute. Tenko refused to be in the same city as him. Izuku and Katsuki watched AfO with a single minded determination to put him down before he can even think to make a move, and only Toshi knew that AfO really had no intention to shatter the tentative truce in place.
Only Toshi knew AfO had other plans. He always had other plans. Some Toshi knew the details of, some he didn't, and there was a time when that would have terrified him. 15 years to spend together, through danger after danger…
Toshi knew AfO.
The doubts, when they appeared, didn't last.
"Does it bother you?" Toshi tossed the question back, and AfO paused, cigarette to his lips. Hazy white eyes drift to meet Toshi's, and the former hero marvels at just how easy it was to read AfO now.
AfO was disgruntled.
"Yes, and no." AfO said. "I don't care about your little students." A pause, and AfO's eyes gain a focus that has Toshi's hackles raising. "Hm. No, I suppose I do. But not because they all fear me or I feel any guilt for what I did to them."
A long time ago, Toshi would have flinched. He didn't even bat an eye now, even as he thought of Tenko and the sheer torment that All for One put that boy through.
(Guilt, guilt, guilt...)
"No, your one boy... Izuku Midoriya." AfO's gaze dropped focus again, his form relaxing when Toshi didn't bite at him defensively at the sound of his former students name. Toshi stood there, listening. "Or rather, One for All. And my brother."
Toshi hummed. His focus is intent. "Are you going to try taking it back again?"
AfO didn't look at him. Eyes unfocused again, cigarette dangling from between his fingers, burning away without being used. Toshi waited patiently. "... I said I would not." All for One finally said as he came back to himself. There's a tension to his mouth now. He's unhappy about it. "Your trust was hard enough to earn as it was. However..."
AfO is in Toshi's personal space now, a wall of heat pushing back the encroaching chill of the evening. Toshi braced a hand against the railing and shifted to face him, brow quirked. AfO always did like to crowd when he wanted to make a point or had something important to say.
"Do you remember what I said to you that last night we were here?" There's that crooked grin again, charming and threatening and so very well practiced. "When you played at hero when you didn't need to? When you were bleeding out and I had to carry you to safety?"
Toshi swallowed a sudden lump in his throat. "When - yes, what are you getting at?"
AfO finally brings the cigarette to his lips and takes a lazy drag. Smoke curls through the air, and Toshi breaths it in with shiver, remembering a time when he would have doubled over, unable to breathe.
"I can't fault you for being a hero." AfO said. "It's who you are at your core. You're the perfect hero, and I so utterly adore that. You're here to help, because of course you are, you're All Might."
Even when praising him it sounds condescending.
"But I want you to remember what I told you then." AfO flicked the cigarette carelessly to the ground and crushed it under the heel of his shoe. "About what will happen if your heroism gets the best of you, and you end up killing yourself."
At that, Toshi winced. Ah.
(a preview of THAT is this)
Tumblr media
(imagine Toshi's head in AfO's lap after being shot by the president of the HPSC lmao...)
AfO's smile is all threat. "If you let your heroism get the best of you, and you end up killing yourself, then know that there is nothing left to prevent me from completing my initial goals and taking One for All for myself."
It wasn't the healthiest of ultimatums.
But it was one Toshi remembered laughing at after hearing it for the first time. Live, because if not then AfO would turn back into the supervillain he was at heart? 'Live, or else I kill everything you hold dear?' He'd thought it was kind of sweet. Hadn't wanted to question why.
Still doesn't want to question why. Even now, he finds it kind of sweet. Knows its... messed up.
He smiles at All for One, feeling warm. "Don't worry about me. I don't plan on dying anytime soon."
"Good boy." All for One croons, and his arms snake around Toshi's waist.
They stand together in silence for a moment, and the evening sky deepens around them. AfO breaks the silence. "I feel you should know it's actually quite difficult to behave. I'm showing remarkable restraint."
Toshi snorts against AfO's neck, muffling his laughter. "Good boy."

AU where Hisashi calls Izuku regularly while he works overseas and one day Hisashi tells Izuku about his new boyfriend who is very sweet to him and unfortunately got into a bad accident many years ago that left him disabled so Hisashi helps care for him.Izuku later finds out this boyfriend is AFO.
why would you leave inko for afo. 'hold on yeah i think i'll leave this priceless bahia emerald and skip town and then i found a broken piece of chalk instead.' my guy. you deserve all might stealing your son.
1- ok so. Hisashi is an accountant who moves to new york to make more money. He and inko officially divorce, which means Izuku takes the Midoriya name and Inko has sole custody, but while Hisashi does not have to pay child support or alimony, he does opt to send them some support and tries to stay in contact because i guess his taste in men was so bad that he and inko just work better as friends. good for them ig.
2- actually Hisashi is just straight up color-blind: he can't see any red flags. Its not just his personal tastes. this man has worked for four separate blatant money laundering schemes since he went abroad. he has no clue. this is how he ends up coming into contact with AfO, but AfO's job offering is too indirect and vague, and Hisashi is like 'are you... flirting with me?' instead, but AfO can work with that. And while Hisashi certainly isn't a genius with people or warning signs, i will give him (and inko) this: he's a great lay.
3- He's also a very caring boyfriend, which was part of the problem with inko, they ended up really inciting each other's anxieties, but AfO likes being pampered so he decides to keep Hisashi around even if he isn't a employee. even better really, that he doesn't have to pay, bribe, quirkify, dequirkify, or threaten him. Hisashi, as a bit of a doting boyfriend, also has a lot to say about the man to others, so Izuku ends up hearing a lot of gushing over the phone as he's training with weights and is a bit too out of breath to change the topic. plus, he doesn't want to bring up going to UA until its a sure thing, his dad will definitely freak out about it not being safe. finally he tells his dad he got in, and hisashi is like 'oh yeah, cuz they changed the rules, which track?' and izuku goes 'oh uh hero track and alsoihaveaquirknowitscalledsuperpower oh look at that moms calling me for dinner sorry bye.'
4. Dazed, Hisashi gushes about his son to his boyfriend later, dropping that izuku's going to become a hero at ua, what a surprise- but, well, he supposes his son has always loved to watch heroes...
AfO is like 'hm. being a hero isn't very safe...' ('i know...') 'why don't you try to push him to visit you? keep him safe. maybe in a safe. don't you just wanna keep a hold of him?' ("i do, but that'll only drive him away. he's growing up... besides, if i was busy only keeping watch over him, who'd take care of you?") 'mm, good point. keep prioritizing me, i will neither put a hit on the kid as competition nor do anything to keep him safer.'
5. Reveal... uh yeah so Hisashi does mention to Izuku when his boyfriend goes missing, sometimes he gets called to work suddenly but he's never been gone this long, he's worried, is he restocking his meds, where is he? oh yeah, he vanished around Kamino. unfortunate, but not incriminating on its own. What IS incriminating is rewound!AfO, looking at Izuku with a tilted head. "I can see bits of Hisashi in you, hm. Just the worst bits, luckily." Izuku starts realizing what this means. Bakugo distracts him and blasts him to the Shigaraki fight, because he also started to realize what it meant and simply did not want to deal with hearing anymore of that. Over at the ShigarAfO fight, AfO tries to keep throwing Izuku (and tomura) off their game by wondering if Hisashi will find this new, younger body nice as well- probably, its not like the man had the highest standards. Izuku and Tomura are united in such abosolute done-ness with AfO that he's immediately snuffed out of Tomura's head and nothing remains behind. Tomura is like 'uh, do you want a day's break and then a rematch because i need to bleach my brain' but izuku is like 'oh no i need to punch someone through a mountain rn, lets keep going while i reform you with the power of friendship and incredible violence.' (By unspoken agreement, neither Izuku, Bakugo, or Tomura ever breathe a word about it to anyone, much less to Hisashi.)

[Trying to think of names for this AU. So far, have the "serious" (unStolen Innocence) & the "funny" (LoV Babies, play on Muppet Babies).] They all turn back at different times. Borogiri is first, he's only deaged a week or so. Hawks & Toya take longer, couple weeks to a month, with Himiko a little longer than that. Tenko takes the longest to go back to normal (& when he does, do you think he'd look different? Or is right back physically to where he was when he was hit by the Quirk?)
rip to me having to go back and tag all this BUT
See now I'm imagining it's some sort of 'heal your inner child' Quirk. Like some therapist has a Quirk that lets people de-age so they can kinda confront their shitty childhoods/re-experience something 'better'. It's supposed to be in short sessions in their office but the therapist happened to be in a store the group decided to do a 'grocery run' on and whoops Quirk went off and blasted half of them and the villains booked it before said therapist could explain or undo the effects.
So yeah the reason they're at the ages they're at is because it's either before the trauma starts/when it's just starting.
Kurogiri only dropped down to a teenager because Oboro's childhood was actually pretty much perfectly fine he only got major trauma when he died. He also swings back pretty fast because the 'healing' is just getting the hell out of dodge.
Himiko is dropped down to right when her parents started berating her for her Quirk's existence, so yeah around 5-ish. And her healing would be kinda quick in the sense that it's dependent on acceptance. Being around people who think she's a good kid and her Quirk is fine. Which works pretty well when around either the LoV or the people at UA and basically anyone other than her parents lmao!
Dabi is dropped down to before they found out his Quirk is malfunctioning. So he hasn't really experienced the rejection/replacement/etc. His healing is very dependent on getting to meet Enji again and being reassured that he's loved no matter what. Which is gonna take a while because not only is Enji still bad at communicating but with him being so innocent right now everyone's going to want to avoid telling him about All That™ which means no confrontation of it all.
Hawks is kinda weird because there was never a turning point for him Keigo's childhood was just all bad all the time. So the Quirk probably dropped him to when he's like. Conscious and aware of things and maybe aware that things aren't good/normal. Healing again would be a bit longer as people figure out what he needs(unlike the others, there's no template because no one knows him that well) which is mostly some unconditional love. Being cared for without expectation of him being 'useful' in some way.
Tomura is ofc dropped down to about 5-ish right before his Quirk comes in and *gestures* and he's probably gonna be stuck a kid the longest as he's gotta undo everything AfO did to his psyche. A lot of that really includes inspiring some persevering hope in this kid that there's genuine good in the world.
Everyone is gonna have a Fun Time™ when they turn back because even with the healing done as a child they have to reconciliate that with everything they went through the first time and sort out what that all means for them.

Not for inktober, ive been keeping some mha art for myself for some time now (mostly because they are [for me] wips).
This is an AU that ive been thinking for a while now.
Touya story is mostly the same. Except that there is no Shouto (yet), Rei had a two miscarriages after Natsuo, which led her to having her uterus removed and, because Endeavor attitude, a nervous breakdown.
Touya still burns on Sekoto Peak, but he doesnt return home. When he wakes up, he finds a package with information on Endeavor and his pet project.
Shouto is an engineered baby, made with Touya and Fuyumi genetic make up.
Touya does find the lab and 3 non viable babies (keep in what looks like jars, like some horror movie) but the 4th seems to be going well. Touya steals the pod and burns the place down, swearing that Endeavor will never get his hands on his masterpiece.
He tells himself that he is going to dispose of the baby... but he never actually doest it.
Shigaraki finds Touya (exhausted and starved) in the streets and takes him in after a brief confrontation. They bond over their hate for heroes.
In this AU, AFO does die in his battle with All Might, so his influence on Tomura is less on the murderous side and more on the want to tear things down and remake them. The league still forms, they are still considered terrorist, but they are more about tearing down heroes than just murdering All Might.
For Shouto, Dabi is his dad and Dabi, knowing how Shouto was made, doesnt deny the claim. For him the league are his family.
Everything is fine in the world... until the league kidnaps Bakugo (to make a point).

*shyly pokes finger tips together* may I ask you to expand upon the blood quirk cousins thing 👀 ?
SURE SURE, i dunno what part you mean but i'll tell you what i mean by it.
So, Aoyama,Monoma and Himiko's mom's are sisters, when i say blood quirk cousins i mean exactly what i said they each all have blood quirks a quirk that has something to do with blood. It's almost like being a mutant me and my friend made it a whole category of people this includes vladking he just isn't related to them.
People with bloodquirks have to take medication/supplements to keep them from biting other people to get that iron cause when you have a blood quirk your quirk regardless of what it is makes the body want/desire iron and their bodies require it/need it to continue functioning properly. When the body is on empty/the person is desperate the easiest way to get the iron in from another person easier then getting the supplements cause you gotta make an appointment, wait until the day,go to the doctor, instead of helping you right away they do some research tell you to come back while they do more research, you have to plan the next visit, ect ect you know the processes of getting to a doctor it's a hassle (at least in america) so this is the reason a lot of people with blood quirks bite people cause it's so much easier and at this point they are so out of it they'll take anything
BOOM accidents, lawsuits.
people that have bloodquirks in our AU is as mentioned - Vladking,Himiko,Aoyama,Monoma, and Hawks.
Himiko - has your basic blood-quirk, it works as it normally does for anyone she just uses the blood to transform into someone else.
Monoma - converts blood into energy, using someone elses quirk, therefore it's almost as if everytime Monoma is using someone else's quirk Monoma is bleeding because the blood is being used as energy but Monoma's body was made to do this so yes side-effects of blood-loss are a problem but not too bad cause muscle memory but with quirks. it's not entirely a good thing to be making your body get used to something like this but who's making any other kid stop using their quirk bc it hurts them
Aoyama - He was born quirkless HOWEVER his body was made to contain a blood-quirk but he has no quirk therefore he has fangs that is a clear sign of someone with a bloodquirk they have fangs. If he was born with a quirk it somehow would relate to blood in someway. The quirk AFO gave him probably consumes blood to make a blast even if the blast isn't blood cause that would be horrific therefore it's almost like Monoma in the way that it's using his blood like blood-loss they are in the same category of blood quirk
i'll rewrite this later when my friend wakes up and can explain it to me better this is just what i remember jvvngjf ndhj WHICH MIGHT NOT EVEN BE RIGHT so sadly i can't explain how she told me Hawks quirk is a blood quirk if you cared about that since you didn't ask me a question about Hawks.
i hope this is what you wanted answered i didn't propperly understand the question anon jrktnghjrfx

I was ranting to my friend about mha being my new fixation and how I’m relapsing to that LIKE MHA IN 2024 that’s gotta be a new low for me😭✊
I was telling them how I miss 2020 mha because I REALLY LIKED WHEN WE HC THE LOV TO BE A FAMILY BEFORE SHIT GOT SERIOUS💔💔💔
And then I said smith like ‘I miss villain deku’ so I proceeded to go on an entire analysis as to why and how villain deku was made and looking back it, I decided to post it cuz this shit is way too funny.
SO ENJOY!! (this is like half satire)
♡♡♡ ♡♡♡ ♡♡♡ ♡♡♡ ♡♡♡
Okie so basically: U might think 'what does bkdk have to do anything with it?' Ya u've probably heard of it and say it was popular ERRR WRONG it was deemed toxic in the earlier seasons of the show since bakugo bullied deku in middle school and was still kinda an ass to him (it was only in like s5-s7 where bkdk became MUTUAL and had themes like loyalty and friendship surround it)
So whats that gotta do with v.deku?? There was a specific line bakugo said to deku which was "go take a swan dive off the roof and pray you're born with a quirk in your next life" so people wanted to be like "u know what this dude's life is so bad he needs to be a villain" and thats exactly what they made him (background of the context: deku was born quirkless so he's ostricized from the others and ur gonna say "hows a quirkless person gonna be a villain" deku's like REALLY smart he's a nerd who literally analyzes everyones quirk and has every single detail of it on his ntbk
And another plot hole they can add is making all might say a different thing:
(Background of the context: All Might is a famed hero and is, not surprisingly, also deku's fav hero so of course he looked up to him.
In canon, deku was saved by all might and thats when deku asks him "can i be a hero too even without a quirk" i forgot the specific details about it but he's basically made into all might's successor and that gave him a fighting chance)
Going back to the idea now:
In v.deku au, instead of encouraging deku, all might crushes his dreams and tells him "naw dawg u cant be a hero ur a quirkless loser" and thats another way they can diverge from the canon while still maintaning some aspects of the original to support their au
In most v.deku aus, he joins the LOV (league of villains) and sometimes in gacha vids, him and shigaraki are siblings
(Background of the context: in canon, all might passes down his quirk to deku which is called "One for All" now this quirk originated from a single person atleast 9 generations ago. That bitch had a brother who's quirk was stealing other ppl's quirk and he's like the main antag so the good brother was like "yo i wont let u do that" and wow golly gee wilikers guess what the evil bro's name is?? All for one which is just OFA but reversed.
So what does that have to do with deku and shigaraki?? If deku is all might's successor, shigaraki is AFO's successor. Also transferring or passing down quirks can like tie the past and present conscious of the users.
BUT! THATS NOT ALL!! Thats actually partly canon already and was used later in the series AFTER that fact was revealed!!
The actual popular reason/theory is that AFO is deku's dad and since AFO adopted shigaraki, that would mean deku and shigaraki are half-siblings)
Afo being deku's dad is STILL a popular theory till this day
omg I can’t forget about their matching red shoes
♡♡♡ ♡♡♡ ♡♡♡ ♡♡♡ ♡♡♡
No way am I taking this more seriously than my actual essays for school😭✊

MHA The Boys AU
Seriously. Who would like to read it?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m still working on the AU that won the poll. Outlining it, but, due to my silly brain, I came up with this AU idea after watching two seasons of The Boys, so I REALLY wanted to share it!
Anyway, this is A LOT of brainstorming, so Read More under the cut
This AU takes place in the modern setting of The Boys, with Supes (those with superpowers) being created with Compound V. Vought, the evil corporation that manufactures Superheroes to market products, films, and etc for money, still experimented with the compound on some people prior to the present of the fic. One of the first(and actually true) superhero was Captain Hero, who has since died awhile before the events in the story. Captain Hero had fought in some wars, but gave that up as he hated having to use his power that way and instead wanted to help children. Vought saw the marketing opportunity and used him as a basis for what they have continued to do. Thus, the Captain Hero comics.
AFO was the first naturally born Supe, his mother having been experimented on and gaining only small spike growths. The twins were born and Garaki, the head scientist with the Compound V trials, decides to experiment on AFO since his power was the greatest supe ability to ever manifest. Although Yoichi is still frail since TTTS happened, Garaki still uses him as a control due to them being identical twins. After the experiments on him, AFO would always be brought back to Yoichi, who was the only person that treated AFO as a person and not just some lab rat. Yoichi was everything to AFO, LITERALLY, but Vought saw how they could use Yoichi to control AFO since his power and lack of parental figures was starting to create a monster. Vought gave up on allowing naturally born supes due to how terrifying AFO is.
The only entertainment they had were the Captain Hero comics, given in the hope that it would make AFO want to be like the hero. As in canon, he liked the Demon Lord more, but Yoichi always loved Captain Hero, so he eventually goes along with Vought’s plan to make him a marketable Supe because he wanted Yoichi to be happy and see him as a hero just like the one he loves in the comics.
At some point, Yoichi met Kudo and the latter realized that Yoichi was a pawn of Vought to control AFO. He tries to convince Yoichi to leave, but Yoichi knew he had to help keep his twin in control and also knew how hard it would be on AFO(and himself honestly) if he left his brother. After getting into a fight, Yoichi accidentally reveals Kudo’s plan and, in his anger, tells his brother that he WANTS to. AFO starts going insane and, when Yoichi tries to leave, he reaches out screaming at him and accidentally blows him up with a new Supe power he took.
Needless to say, AFO’s brain basically cracks at that point. The only thing that remains of Yoichi is his hand, which Garaki was more than willing to embalm for him to continue to try and keep him quelled. Vought also revealed that they have the recording of him killing Yoichi and, if it is released, no one would ever follow AFO again, so he sticks to his role as the face of the All for One #1 hero group, but also because he still wants to make Yoichi happy.
Since AFO is taking the place of Homelander, everyone is absolutely terrified of him and walk on eggshells all the time since he could snap at any moment even though he puts on a calm and heroic facade. Toshinori is a new hero added to the team with the ability to turn into a super powered version of himself(like he is in canon) for a short period of time. He is the Starlight character that joins because he really believes in being a hero before he realizes what is actually going on behind the scenes. I’m still trying to figure out what other heroes or villains take the place of the rest of The Seven from The Boys.
All Might does become a mole for One for All, the equivalent of The Boys team from the show. Kudo is the Billy Butcher, Bruce is the Frenchie, Banjo is Mother’s Milk, but I’m stuck on whether the other users of OFA are all there or if AFO or Vought has killed some of them. I’m thinking of maybe making Nana Queen Maeve’s replacement, but she has been working with One for All and maybe is the one that brings All Might into the fold?
AFO is known as The Suit since he still wears his signature suit and coat as Vought decided to go with the edgier look like Batman.
The story present has Izuku winning a chance to spend a week with the All for One team and will have a part in their new movie. His favorite hero is the new one, All Might, so he’s super excited to finally meet him! Buuuuuuuut, Izuku has eyes just like Yoichi’s and AFO takes notice quite quickly. He starts trying to bogart Izuku’s time and convince him how he’s so much better than All Might. Izuku ends up accidentally finding out about Nana and All Might being in One for All and they decide to bring him to Kudo and the others before he says anything stupid. Kudo notices the eyes too and learns from Izuku how AFO has been acting. He decides to use Izuku to get close to AFO to gain any evidence to prove how much of a monster he is.
This puts Izuku in a very dangerous position, especially because AFO is creeping towards cracking completely. Vought has spread the lie that Yoichi was killed by those in One for All to gain sympathy towards their hero team and to keep AFO’s denial in tact lest he goes mad over actually being responsible for Yoichi’s death. He had already stated that it’s all Kudo’s fault and Vought runs with it.
Unfortunately, Kudo’s vengeance gets the better of him and he forgets the day Yoichi died until it’s too late: Izuku is with AFO and he finally snaps, superimposing Yoichi over Izuku. Now, One for All needs to do whatever it takes to save Izuku from him and also take down Vought and their superhero team by gaining then revealing sensitive information. Kudo’s idea: find the recording of AFO killing Yoichi, his own twin.
I’m also thinking Hawks will take the place of Mallory, the agent working hard to take Vought down and help with witness protection, funding, and passing evidence off to the government.
I’d love any ideas y’all might have for other MHA characters to be involved!
Let me know what y’all think!!!

Quill AU:
I thought of another way that Aldera as an MLA front could become Nigheye’s problem; So you know how, in canon, All Might and Nighteye did a lot of investigative work to tear down AfO’s empire?
Well the MLA would have been in hiding and seen all of that, and maybe would’ve even had to relocate some assets to stay out of the warpath. When they find out that All Might himself is investigating an asset of theirs, they’ll probably flip the fuck out to either totally cover up their philosophy’s involvement, or at least make Aldera look like an isolated incident (Which depending on how they do it, may just push them more into the spotlight.)
And once they find out that the heat’s on them because Nighteye kidnapped a kid and then didn’t investigate their school? He shouldn’t need Foresight to foresee a criminal organization retaliating against him, and therefore take the necessary steps to protect himself from that, unless, of course, he misses all the signs because he wasn’t doing his job in the first place.
I could see it, but if they're that worried about being found out by this investigation, retaliation seems unlikely

You will do a character/personality analysis of Shinomori, Banjo and En?
I already did some analyses of these guys, but I think I'm gonna put down this masterlist of what I can pull off the top of my head so far
In relation to posts I made, got asked about, or reblogs about the vestiges and analysis/reading comprehension, from what I can remember,
(Edit: this is a list I'm updating as time goes. Does not include the AFO posts I make [I also like that guy])
En being a product of the time he grew up in
En being cut in half by AFO and not OFA
This ask about if I think En has an anxiety disorder
En and Shinomori's vol 41 illustrations
Shinomori being cute and also some character stuff
Shinomori and Hood should've been the same person
Shinomori was a weirdo
Shinomori and Bruce can be related (appearance and similar character/habits)

i hnstly thought id make a solo post dt to each one of these, but i dont think ill ever come around to do that so fuck it heres every ofa au i came up on a whim on twitter (though im pretty sure one of these alrdy exists but whatever)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
middle/high school au
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
gone bad au
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
paranormal twins au
(infodump ab everything below hahdjs)
anyways soo first one is just . like. a middle school au. or highschool. im not sure which one is better lol. basically its just a roles thing: afo is the student council president (that pretty much has his school wrapped around his finger), yoichi is just some student (that gets into fights with bullies) and kudou is a deliquent (that became one just cus of afo) i wanted to expand this more but im procrastinating so nvm
2nd one is well, again, an au i made out of the whim. i just entertained tbe idea of (forced) villain yoichi and rolled with it and only drew it just so i can design yoichi ahsjskg ... and kudoichi there is well . ig a hero/villain pair? and you could say theyre just unfortunate people forced to play a role (also ignore the quality in that part i rushss to draw it haha)
now last one, self explanatory? mama shigaraki lives, afo and yoichi shared their nutrients and their quirk ( where it functions as afo cant give away the quirks he attain, only yoichi could((and only yoichi can receive the quirks his brother takes)) he also cant take the quirks from the user without consent. yoichi is the same but vice versa, but he himself also couldnt give away quirks unless the user consents 👐) everything is semi-normal for the most part. also. first pic is kinda outdated.some of it anyways....... also also i tried my best to make sure afo and yoichi rlly do look like twins despite the hair difference
now i wasnt able to attach the ofa bad end au and the "theyre happy" ending au bc image limit but the 1st is smth i actually wanna work on (but not fuly expand and actively post about, its just smth i gave more thought than the others here haha) and the 2nd one is just ab designs and basically everyone lives nbd dies au (maybe afo only tho)
so yeah. thats all the ofa aus i came up? yall already saw the other aus liek demon/angel au, the childhood friend au.... does the fankids i made count as an au.....? the mlp one......? holders grow old one????
fuck theres so much aus i need to relax hahdhsjf
anyways yeah thnx for reading allthat . entertaining questions wouldve been fun if i actually put enough thought into these aus💔 the hfx just went behind the wheel for these

Hey, I was wondering. Did you also find it weird that the first time Yoichi talked to Deku he didn't properly introduced himself and jumped right into his backstory? He didn't even tell his own name. Not only that, but after finishing his backstory he took Midoriya's hand into his own. After he just talked to the kid for the first time. What makes it weirder is that, as stated, he didn't even introduce himself first.
Not—particularly?  Okay, so like, I love me a Creepy OFA and a Yoichi with some dark spots, as I’ll discuss below the cut, but my thoughts tend to go in different directions than this.  Forgive me if I’m misreading you based on my experience with fandom parlance, but your usage of “weird” here comes across to me as implying suggestive, even scandalous, motivations from Yoichi, a kind of sensationalistic Stranger Danger, and that’s just not a read I ever took from the scene in question.
Though Yoichi may not have known this, Deku didn’t need to be talked through who exactly he was seeing.  He figured out who Yoichi was within seconds of the dream starting, between already having been told the story of OFA’s origin with the two brothers, recognizing All For One’s voice, and AFO and Yoichi addressing each other as Brother.
Yoichi said at the end that he wanted to show Deku more, but Deku was only at 20%.  Deku’s low integration with the power limited how much and how long he could interact with the vestiges—that limitation came back up in Banjo’s first appearance and was still in effect until Vestige!AFO “forcibly drew [the vestiges] out” during the war.  With the OFA vestiges stated to be far more latent and vague prior to Deku, the dream encounter was probably the first time Yoichi ever managed to directly address one of the bearers!  If that connection was still patchy and Yoichi didn’t have a lot of access to Deku’s mind yet, he might not even have known that Deku had already been told the story of OFA’s origin.     Presumably, then, Yoichi was trying to get as much across as he could in as little time as possible—hence leading with a version of the backstory that quickly communicated who he and AFO are, why AFO is a bad dude that Yoichi is against, and how One For All was first created.  He just didn’t have time for more details than that, and every second he wasted on introductions would cut into other things he could be showing Deku instead.
I don’t think he shows untoward initiative in taking Deku’s hand.  Deku was already reaching out—indeed, he was reaching out for Yoichi, albeit the Yoichi of the past.  Deku also doesn’t drop his hand when the dream fades and Vestige!Yoichi staggers out of the dark, which he easily could have if he were feeling wary.  Instead, his hand is still extended when Yoichi reaches back for it, telling Deku both to be careful and not to be afraid.  I think the touch is intended to be reassuring.
No, it’s not how you’d want to behave with a stranger in real life, but the mindscape isn’t a real-life space and Yoichi isn’t some rando on the street.  He’s the driving voice of One For All, the fateful power entrusted to Deku, and a man who spent nearly his entire life under AFO’s thumb.  Given those factors, I don’t read Yoichi as being particularly suspicious there, or hold it against him that he gets right to business.
None of that is to say, though, that there’s nothing sketchy about Yoichi!  I think you can read quite a lot into him that the canon would rather you not, and can go even farther than that if you’re willing to put your own spin on things for AUs or the like.
(Hit the jump.)
For starters, I’ve never liked the tendency of the OFA bearers to refer to each other by number rather than by name, something that starts out kinda sporadic but gets exacerbated considerably in the endgame.  It makes them feel militaristic, even self-dehumanizing, which is particularly galling when Kudou starts intoning piousness about peoples’ quirks being embodiments of their individual wills and desires.  Hey, Second, if you think AFO should be afraid of quirks because of the people behind them, maybe try using those peoples’ names.
I also desperately wish we could have had a version of the story that was willing to explore Yoichi as a hardliner making sweeping proclamations about how an oppressed minority should use their meta-abilities when he himself doesn’t have one of those meta-abilities and therefore is at very little risk of being killed by an anti-meta mob. My ideal Yoichi would hear about Stain's crusade and say, “He's going a little too far, but he's not wrong.”
Seriously, I’d love it if BNHA would acknowledge Yoichi as being legitimately, admirably far-sighted about his brother’s machinations, but also that he only has the luxury of that long-term outlook because his brother is attending to all his basic needs.  Yoichi doesn’t have to worry about food or a place to live, he’s in no physical danger with his terrifying older brother looking out for him, and he has no dependents of his own.  That’s all because his brother is keeping him locked in a vault against his will, of course; I’m not saying he should be fawning and grateful to AFO!  It’s just that he comes across as very strict and inflexible when he fails to recognize that not everyone can take for granted the sustenance, shelter and safety he is so ready to reject.
I wish the story could acknowledge it as a character flaw, that Yoichi is so sheltered and isolated that he can’t empathize with people who will make bad bargains if it means helping their loved ones, people who are living every day in fear and are desperate for a way out of that fear.  Heck, I’d like it even more if Yoichi could empathize with that (he’s got all the reason in the world to both love and fear his brother, after all, and they did grow up on the streets!), but his own unbending viewpoint leads him to assert that it’s more moral to starve to death than accept a deal with the devil, and so that’s what everyone should be willing to do.
And of course, that’s all just about Yoichi as an actual person, which the thing in OFA definitively is not, no matter how the story treats him.  During the mindscape conference post-war, he says outright that he and the other ghosts within One For All are, with the sole exception of All Might, just quirk vestiges, not real souls.  Every day, I wish for a version of BNHA that was willing to take that distinction seriously!  I’ve got tons of thoughts on how OFA could have been made creepier and more of a challenge for Deku to overcome simply by treating it as a power instead of a person, a power with its own dictates and drives, a “will” detached from a conscience or true self-awareness.
As a bonus, this would also have let the endgame have its cake and eat it too with Demon Lord AFO.  Allow the real man nuance and affection for people, a motivation for his megalomania that goes beyond “Because that’s what my favorite comic book character did,” maybe even (how shocking!) a willingness to entrust his fortunes to his chosen heir.  Save the cartoon villainy for the quirk, which manifests with AFO’s face and mannerisms but is really just a mindless drive to consume, no more sapient than an AFO-themed chatbot.
That’s what I’d have liked All For One and One For All to boil down to, really:  one a quirk that exists to devour and the other a quirk that exists to destroy the devourer.  And somewhere in all of that, the Deku who wants to use One For All to save and the Shigaraki who wants to use All For One to destroy have to center and find themselves.
(Ahem.)
That’s my oversharey thoughts on Creepy OFA and Yoichi as an actual human being with objectionable traits and uncomfortable belief structures.  But canonically?
I suppose Yoichi and the others in OFA being hardline anti-AFO militants—which they sort of are and sort of aren't, because their writing lacks consistency—could feed into a willingness to come on stronger to Deku than is entirely kosher. I wouldn’t call that behavior “weird,” though; I’d call it “urgent,” or possibly “anxious.” If I wanted to argue that Yoichi willfully chose a narrative that would discourage sympathy for AFO, maybe I’d throw in some words like “peremptory” or “dissuasive of asking inconvenient questions,” but even those suggest a level of calculated, dogmatic malice towards AFO that I just don't read Yoichi exercising there. His focus is on explaining the origin of One For All, not demonizing AFO—he could surely dig up much worse memories, if that were the aim! If anything, the memories he chose gave more room for a nuanced AFO than the full story did!
Whatever I think of Yoichi's rhetoric, in any case, he certainly didn’t come off to me as some kind of closet pervert or underhanded groomer because he took the hand Deku had already extended towards him in a gesture of comfort and solidarity.
Tumblr media

Apologies again if that's not what you meant in calling him weird, but please understand that these days that is the context I most frequently see people using “weird” to not-so-subtly imply.

I want to hear about your Hero Academia trash collection story.
Ohh boy for some context: that entire fix it au was inspired by my city's incredibly stupid new trash collection system
Meaning that the provided trash cans got incredibly small and the fees more than doubled (among other things).
Which is how this was born
Anyways
It starts the same as the show but everyone is a year younger so Izuku has some time with OFA and doesn't have to rush to UA
For some reason All Might has to leave for a time and Izuku is left alone to train after cleaning up the beach
And on one of his morning runs he stumbles upon a man who tries to leave a fridge on the now clean beach
There is no malice in his decision. But renting a truck to bring the fridge to an actual dump site is not cheap. And depositing said fridge also takes money
He doesn't have the money
So it's much easier to drag the fridge two blocks and dump it. Everyone else is doing it? What's one more piece of trash on that mountain
What actually happens is that Izuku carries the fridge to the deposit site he and All Might have gone several times and pays the deposit fee with his own pocket money
He also successfully befriends the whole neighborhood and through vigorous research and selling a lot of stuff to pawn shops he manages to make the place semi clean
This is unfortunately unsustainable
Pawning things and hard work can take you a little farther, but sometimes people are too poor to take out the trash
Enter Shigaraki Tomura
I don't know exactly how but Izuku manages to befriend him
Maybe they stumble into each other while Izuku is running shop to shop looking for some kind of deal, maybe they argue on some obscure forum about All Might, maybe Shigaraki notices that a lot of petty criminals just straight up disappear in one part of the city because some kid needs some people to help his clean up method and he is working with what he can
The point is that they are friends
It's a pretty new thing for both of them
And when Izuku sees Tomura accidentally disintegrate something his first reaction is not mindless terror
Instead he thinks: that could be useful
This is how Shigaraki Tomura, AFOs successor and Midoriya Izuku OFAs ninth user end up collecting and destroying trash without knowing anything about the other's legacy.
And Tomura gets to see Izuku, someone who wants to be a hero, going around helping people left and right. It wouldn't matter. It shouldn't matter, not to him
But
But Izuku holds out his hand to street kids full of dirt and grime. Who look more like a nightmare than human beings
He can ignore everything else but he cannot ignore that. Not when his younger face is staring back at him and practically screaming: This one is actually a hero
He is also technically a villain. No hero work for him thank you very much. Dusting trash is an illegal use of his quirk nothing else (the fact that most heroes wouldn't even consider that a work of a vigilante is conveniently ignored)
He also doesn't really want to get AFOs attention on this but screwing with the system is always great and thanks to those video games he genuinely loves exploiting anything he can
This is how Shigaraki Tomura dumps his evil plan of upsetting the status and quo lands on the table of the small community he has been terrorizing (helping) (here are some back doors in the law on how to make the government actually take care of the garbage)
Things escalate and...
There is no vigilante emerging from the pits of Mustafa
All Might’s protegee doesn’t fight crime and All for One’s doesn’t plan for a Leauge to break society
There is however a new trash collecting regulation that forces the officials to keep the trash prices affrodable for everyone
And villainy is getting lower as it is implemented
--
Anyway that's the short explanation of my trash au. There are more parts one with Bakugou accidentally tutoring a bunch of social outcasts
one with Ochako, Shinso and Iida accidentally making a support network for financially struggling villains which makes Tensei gradually shift from capture hero to rehabilitation
and one with Dabi off all people becoming a semi legal emergency foster parent and helps Hawks out of his gilded cage
-
(Also there is a scene that lives rent free in my head that after either a disaster or a big destructive fight, Stain trying to get his philosophy by preaching to the masses and someone just chunking a shovel and telling him to get to fucking work and help people)

Au where quirks exist ever since the beginning of humanity but thought the last 200 years they started becoming rarer for no explainable reason
"for no explainable reason"? Not "because someone born two hundred years ago started eating them all"? Well, both can be true I suppose
1- humans have always had quirks so just go ahead and disabuse yourself of the idea that world history looks anything like ours now. Any boundaries humans have drawn between themselves or their spaces are totally different. Anyway, our story is set on the island nation of Akitsuba, which has begun to receive reports of children who are born without quirks- it seems impossible, but apparently the child born in Canton Province to two glowing parents but had no light himself was not the result of an affair. He is genetically both his parents child - just, without any unique plus alpha factor at all.
2- when the news breaks, Setsuji looks over at his twin brother. The two stay in a group home, and on the record, they have a spike quirk, just like their mother did before she died at their birth. In truth, Setsuji can take others quirks. He assumes he took his brother's in infancy, which why the boy can't use them, but now he wonders if his brother was in fact simply born without. He doesn't say anything, but his brother does- whispering it at night, apologizing for assuming his brother took it all this years ago and refused to even try to return it, but there's simply nothing to return, is there?
3- more people are born quirkless over time, and more people lose their quirk to AfO over time. Ujiko theorizes that quirks would get too strong, so both quirklessness and AfO are evolutions to prevent plus alpha self destruction. That is, sadly, a generous view- quirklessness is largely viewed as a horrible strange disability, and suddenly quirks become more important. Few people before had jobs that specifically used their quirks, but now no one wants to be mistaken for not having one. Many people campaign to treat and 'fix' quirklessness, trying to force activate one, study and prevent it, etc. Just go ahead and assume all the terrible things that can happen with this mindset, it all happened.
4- by the time of canon, however, quirklessness has been around for two hundred years, and it isn't going away- clearly the opposite. about half the population of the world has no quirk, and the number's hanging around 45% in Akitsuba when our main character, Akatani Mikumo is born. He's quirkless, and lives in the capitol of Higakyou, as schools there are required by law now to no longer require certain or any quirks. It's an election year, so his first semester of high school all anyone can do is talk about the candidates- especially Yagi Toshinori, a bit of a symbol for quirkless politicians and one people thought would run years ago. Mikumo, who helped Yagi carry groceries home one day and didn't recognize him outside of the bright suit, camera lights, and makeup, makes friends with a few kids at school. (Ochako, and the twins Tokoyami Fumikage and Kuroei- while the latter has a quirk, the former does not).
5- Then one day, Yagi is kidnapped, vanishing on live tv through a smokey warp. Mikumo doesn't know what to think about that, until he runs into the man on his way home from school- clearly in bad shape, with strange dark eyes that glow with some quirk he shouldn't have. Mikumo helps Yagi hide, and asks what happens, and how he can help. (AfO decided to end Yagi's use as a symbol by forcing a quirk on him and controlling him, but one of his brother's successors managed to break Yagi out first and give him his brother's quirk, allowing him to fight against AfO's quirk and withstand them safely. As for what Mikumo can do to help... he's done far more than he should already, a kind boy, but that answer isn't going to be good enough for him- he's determined to do more anyway.)

Amnesia!Dabi & AtLA Todorokis
My tablet has decided to be finicky, so submitting this all in a big chunk-
1) AtLa Todorokis
(Assuming CC!Canon)
Toya just looking at Princess “I Must Please My Dad And Be The Best!” Azula, and going “oh, you’re in for a bad time.” Somehow, he and Azula end up sparring, and then screaming and sobbing all over each other.
Fuyumi and Rei being “dismissed” is less “Woman” and more that the Fire Nation is a very militaristic and power centred society, so the demure housewives get ignored. Jokes on them, by the end of the first week Rei has blackmail on every member of Ozai’s cabinet, and Fuyumi has the undying loyalty of most of his staff.
Natsuo is less “God, how primitive” and more “Ok, I get that you don’t have access to the same technology, but here’s how to make a very simple freezer so these medicines last longer”. Also “ok, I’m like … 80% sure that this plant is the same one where I’m from, in which case you should stop using it, and use this one instead, it’s less addictive”. Or, alternately, “Oh, so this plant does all this cool stuff, isn’t addictive, and grows like mad? Neat, how many seeds can I buy?”
Shoto takes one look at Zuko, decides “Ah, yes. This must be another version of me from an alternate reality.” Zuko … doesn’t really know what to do with that, but the kid seems alright, all things considered. Shoto also kind of … smacks Zuko in the face (metaphorically) cause part of the problem is that Zuko is surrounded by politicians and manipulative power-mongers. Everybody keeps talking around problems, or making Zuko second-guess himself, meanwhile Shoto “What Is A Filter?” Todoroki is like, “I get where you’re coming from, but that was a dick move.”
Enji is gritting his teeth the entire time, cause like. They’re in a strange place, they have to play by the rules until they figure out how to get home. But the more time he spends with Ozai, the more he wants to punt this smug bastard into the sun, and he has to keep reminding himself why that might be a bad idea.
Finally, Ozai decides to have Enji assassinated, cause the Fire Spirit and his family are causing all kinds of political problems. Only, of course, it fails pretty spectacularly, and since it involved using Azula as bait, she’s firmly against him now. Somehow, it ends with Zuko, Azula, Ty Lee, Mai, Shoto, Toya, Fuyumi, and Natsuo going on the run, while Enji and Rei team up with an escaping Iroh to wreck havoc and cover their retreat. The group run into the Gaang, and Zuko has to be like “So, firstly, Sorry for all the times I tried to kill you, secondly-”
At some point, Aang uses his “Spirit Medium” powers to try and connect with someone from the MHA world, ends up contacting Fumikage.
2) Amnesia!Dabi
I think I sent this ask already, but I am becoming increasingly attached to the idea that Amnesia!Dabi as an AU is one where, for whatever reason, escaping AfO is actually not that hard. Like, in order:
Dabi - literally walked out of the sketchy clinic he woke up in. He was coming out of a coma, covered in half-healed burns, and still fighting off some lingering sedation. Took 15 hours before anyone found out he dipped. He proceeded to “evade” AfO for the next 3 years, to the point the guy thought he was dead, and only knew otherwise when Dabi walked into the bar to join the LoV. Finds out Dabi was basically two streets over the whole time.
Himiko (and Dabi again) - during the smack down involved with Katsuki’s Great Escape, AfO somehow misses Dabi covering Kats’ retreat, and then fleeing with an injured Himiko. When they don’t show up again, everyone assumes they got caught or went to ground, and only manage to piece together any kind of idea what happened when a news story breaks about the Togas suing UA over Himiko. Then the news Dabi=Toya, and his memory loss. Given the publicity involved on both Himiko and Dabi, unless AfO wants to really blow the fact that him being in prison doesn’t mean much, he “decides” they aren’t worth it.
Magne - left shortly before the Toya=Dabi story broke, but after the Himiko court case got announced. Just … left. Decided this clearly wasn’t the kind of group she thought it was, told everyone goodbye, good luck, and left. Jin, Compress and Spinner still have her number. AfO is unaware she left at all until sometime after the League joins up with Overhaul.
Jin - managed to escape a facility that was SUPPOSED to be secure, while severely injured from a procedure that stole his Quirk. Managed to escape, get help, and lead a bunch of heroes to said facility, forcing AfO to abandon it. Is now under the protection of both Enji, and U.A., and when the HPSC try to get at him, Nezu “reveals” Jin’s the pioneer patient for a new program about “rehabbing” villains or something. Hero support skyrockets. HPSC support continues to down-swerve.
Compress - Undermines a fairly important operation to nab a powerful Quirk user, saves several heroes and adjacent from losing their Quirks, and even rescue the current holder of OfA. The resulting de-aging, turning Compress from 32 to 16, somehow ends up with “Mr. Compress” being “dead”, as teen him doesn’t remember being an adult! (I mean, my idea is he … kind of does? Like, general impressions, or big moments, he does remember. He knows he WAS an adult, and why he did what he did. But Eri’s Quirk went a little haywire, so for all intents and purposes, Compress is, indeed, 16 now.) Somehow, ends up adopted by Aizawa & Mic, cause Eri sees him as a big brother figure.
Kurogiri - K, so like. Originally, he got nabbed during some big operation, right? However, so much is different here, that AfO is just trying to get these guys to lay low. So, instead - bear with me - Kurogiri gets sighted during an outing for groceries, and during a scuffle, suffers a head injury that abruptly causes him to remember his time as Oboro, and forget/muddle much of his time as Kurogiri. Disoriented, he accidentally portals himself into Aizawa and Mic’s living room. Shenanigans ensue. Tomura and Spinner figure he got caught. However, they decide to tell AfO he straight up died. AfO, for some reason, decides “yeah, that checks out”.
Tomura & Spinner - so, my general idea for this is. AfO has decided that “if you want something done right, do it yourself”, and has used a combination of Overhauls’ Quirk plus some others to reconstruct his own body, and then with Jin’s Quirk, is going to make an army of himself. He also decides he’s going to yoink Tomura’s Quirk, cause Decay is pretty powerful, and then he’ll kill Tomura on live TV, telling the whole story about Nana & Yagi, and OfA, really hammer in the message that he’s awesome and all is lost. While this mostly goes to plan, he also ends up broadcasting Spinner decking him in the face, grabbing the de-Quirked Tenko, and escaping while calling him a “bitchass knock-off Palpatine wannabe motherfucker” on the way out. The boys get an unexpected assist from a nearby Hawks & Miruko, proceed to tell everyone everything they know about AfO’s plans.
Much later, after everything is settled, if this ends the way CC will, it takes a few weeks for Yoichi and AfO to have a proper conversation, because Yoichi just. Can’t stop laughing.
-
Everyone easily leaving AfO is fucking great.
Also yes let Rei get blackmail!!!
