What are their top video games?
-mha version. Pt.1
-characters: tenya iida, izuku midoriya, Rikido Sato, Tsuyu Asui, Eijiro Kirishima, Denki Kaminari
- this is my take on things. And my opinion. It’s not canon (kinda in my head) but don’t come after me! And if you have other ideas I would love to hear them!!
- I will be doing other fandoms and characters! Let me know if you want any characters!!
Lets start.
Tenya Iida
He is a big enjoyed of candy crush and you can’t tell me anything else against that. I don’t see him having games on his computer or almost anything, so he plays mostly on his phone. I have a feeling he actually can’t stop and he is so embarrassed over it. Come on? Man is waiting for the new levels every time.
Tetris? A thing for his brain to work and does it kinda fast. He has high scores. MAN IS A BEAST- and when he fails he will get so frustrated and get mad….someone take his phone away please.
Super Mario is a childhood game but he still has it on something. Like a old nintendo, old ds and stuff. He plays it sometimes. And the only thing I see him having new gaming devices wise is a switch, and only has Mario games and plays it only each few mounts.
Izuku Midoriya
Planet zoo I can’t really explain but it’s just feels so right. I think he’s a pro at it. I really wish i could explain why I feel this way….Please tell me you see it to?
Fortnite he only plays with his friends but it’s so often. He does love the game a lot, even has a skin of himself in the game. And he has merch. He just loves to laugh with his friends and vibe. Has never raged quit.
Minecraft….Do I have to explain it? He’s wholesome, the games wholesome. It’s a match. Deku has so many hours it probably scares people. He’s obsessed!!! Mention you found diamonds and he’ll flip.
Rikido Sato
Unraveled is a childhood favorite of mine and I see him playing it for the same reasons. It’s chill but makes the brain think. I think he would love it.
Cooking simulators. This is not just for the meme. Tell me why I think he would rage so much to this because of the controls being whack. If he wasn’t a hero he would own his own restaurant/bakery.
Apex legends- HAVE NO IDEA WHY I THINK THIS. I know nothing about this game. I think he would play a shooter, and he gives apex vibes.
Tsuyu Asui
She’s plays game for chill vibes and vibes only.
Animal crossing?! One of the best games ever. She loves to decorate her island and go villager hunting. Has the best island out of the whole class. (Has many frog villagers)
Minecraft, 100# loves to vibe to the music. She plays with izu a lot too, the whole group. And she’s like the camp mom? Makes sure things are organized and she builds a whole ass city.
Stardew valley….One of the best games ever made again. Farmer Tsu!! She is the person who takes her time and doesn’t stress about anything, she knows everything without the wiki- but she could speed run the whole game so fast.
Eijiro Kirishima
Fortnite bro. Spends so much time on there is so embarrassing. The type of friend to beg his friends to play with him when the say no. He is that guy who doesn’t get up from his seat for hours to play this damn game. Headset, talking to everyone. Random people? He’s befriending them all.
Medieval dynasty is a good game. I see him enjoying building a city up from nothing, he is the type of guy I see. It’s relaxing.
Animal crossing fan and he has no shame. He loves this game so much. Decorates his island. Be proud of him even tho it sucks, but he’s so proud of himself (I relate) and keeps a streak of checking in every day.
Denki Kaminari
HE HAS ALL THE DAMN GAMES!! He talks shit every match. Has fought a child and made them cry (then got his ass handed to him) and I stand by this. He is good at the game, but also then sucks so bad.
Fortnite, yes other shooters because I believe he loves them. But likes to play with the boyz mostly, kiris main bestie in this game because they both are annoying the others.
Minecraft…yes this is getting used a lot but it’s a amazing game. Turns his music down because he’s either falling asleep or crying for questioning his existence. MINING!! He spends so much time mining it’s like he never goes to the surface.
-want more characters? Want another fandom? Just tell me in comments or my inbox

We smoking juju
She tried doing psionics on my ass, i snapped her silver cord in half and flossed with it. This shit ain't nothing to me man
where moving different man. where making this hapen
My money longer than act 6
I make more money in a week than crockercorp does in a year
Yesterday i killed someone over vriscourse
You wouldn't survive a day in my session. Just to challenge myself, I prototyped my kernel sprite with heroin laced garlic bread and the taxidermy wooly mammoth I keep in my trophy crypt. Every imp had the vengeful spirits of extinction in them, and their blood was poison. I felt alive
Kanaya thinks she's a rainbow drinker, but she's not him. I am!
I'm already him
I'm the ultimate him
I read all 8000 pages of himstuck
I'm a member of the himnight crew
I died in my quest coffin and ascended to him tier, and nothing changed, because ive always been him
We smoking that sburban jungle trickster mode post canon god tier build grist
That tentabulge got me feeling disappointed and inert
My hands can coexist with your crushed wind pipe you stupid bitch
I fought the homestuck, I put the clown down
I'm dracula. I'm 12 million years old. I'm thinking different. I made sburb. I programmed that shit, waited a few millenia, then put it on some random kids' computers, and now we're here. This was always the plan
I flipped a brick to the batterwitch hours before [s] collide, she was high off her ass when them kids beat the shit out of her. Now I have a whole new universe to fuck with
Got it all on camera, put live leak out of business
She sucked my meat AND my candy. I had a picnic on her ass
That green skeleton king put a tooth in me, I got quantum poisoning, so she fucked me in the back of my dead dad's 2007 Volkswagen beetle before my family reunion
I don't pull out, I sylladex the cum before it can reach her cruxite dowel
I alchemized a 1399 bottle of mead with a pound of crack, cost me more grist then there are stars in the milky way. When I woke up, I was naked and afraid
Hussie tried to kill me, they forgot that you can't fight the dracula
Bec noir whimpered when he saw my fangs, he knew his time was up
I did something wrong
Ultimate self? Fuck that, I killed every other version of myself in all of paradox space. Well, except for junedraculasprite^2, she was kinda chill
My balls smoother than doc scratch's head
This zaza got terezi loco
This Zaza got terezi sane
Junejasprose is all I think about
I fucked a horrorterror, worst mistake of my life. I had tentacles clogging up my sylladex, and I had several bricks at the bottom of my deck. Took 30 business days for me to get to that shit, money hemorrhaging more than my ass was
I showed up to the convention in my thief of blood god tier clothes, when a pack of eridan cosplayers made fun of my hairline. Now they're thralls in my basement, playing jump rope with each other's intestines
I snapped a horn off of some dude's skull and grafted it onto my own. Then we had a unicorn joust, and I skewered his stupid ass. Blue rained on me like I was Brad armstrong
Princes don't live in ships, they sleep in coffins. Only gills you'll have is the bite marks on your neck
This shit ain't nothing to me man

I like rewriting things for fun because this is just what my brain is like, and on my rewatch of Gravity Falls I was struck once again by how out of place "Roadside Attraction" is. Honestly I don't even dislike it that much, it just feels misplaced? Like, it's a season 1 episode thrown in right before we start gearing up the final arc. I'm hardly the only person who thinks this, but I thought it would be fun to throw my hat in the ring and come up with my own alternate version. Thinking about making a comic about it maybe??
So I've given it some thought, and here's how I would write "Roadside Attraction" (with the benefit of 10 years of hindsight, no deadlines, no supervisors breathing down my neck, and access to pieces of storylines that have only all come together completely after the show ended): It got long so it's under the cut.
I really like the idea of the road trip itself, and I really really like the idea of Dipper and Stan getting this bonding episode. Especially with Stan trying to be a role model for Dipper in a way that Ford has no experience with, playing into both of their insecurities of not being good enough. I just think the focus was too messy. There's a lot of different messages that could be fit in to the whole flirting thing, and I think the episode kind of confuses itself. I'm also of the opinion that the show is at its weakest when romance is the focus. It's just infinitely less interesting than the familial and platonic bonds that have been so lovingly set up.
So instead of the focus being on flirting, we're going to one of Stans favorite skills- lying!
The original episode centers Dippers conflict on not knowing how to deal with an unrequited crush and then acting on some bad advice from Stan. But the episode doesn't really succeed in clearly painting what was actually bad about his advice and why it was bad that Dipper followed it, it gets all muddled up (he wasn't cheating, he was literally just talking to people. It's messed up that ultimately he was objectifying them as subjects for "practice", but he also thought these were going to be one-off interactions. It's all too shaky to actually take a lesson away from in the way the episode wants you to.)
So we're shifting the focus from "confidence with girls" to "confidence" in general. Dipper expresses his insecurities with not being a very confident person, he doesn't think he's brave or cool or tough and he's scared of other people seeing him as weak. So Stan tells him to get some practice talking to people the only way he knows how-by making stuff up! It's very easy to be confident if you just pretend you're someone else! Sure, maybe Stan Pines isn't much of a winner, but Hal Forrester is doing great! And who's to know that he's not Hal Forrester? Stan is a showman and a con artist, if there's one thing he knows how to do it's perform. And that's kind of... All... He knows how to do. It's the thing that's kept him alive for 40-odd years. But it originated in a deep-set belief that Stan Pines is a bad person to be. He has to be someone else in order to be someone worth being around.
Most of the episode can play out as it did but with this framework. We can even keep Darlene! (Stan chatted with her under a false name and acted like he was some kinda unattached drifter lone wolfing it on the road. She heard that and thought "oh good, no one to come looking when he goes missing!" Then gets thrown off when a bunch of kids come and save his ass.) And a different side story for Mabel and the girls. Spitballing here- uhhh Candy and Grenda try to distract Mabel from her feelings about her Summer Romances because she's clearly upset but is trying to hide it. Wacky shenanigans abound. By the end the theme about authenticity comes full circle and Mabel feels better by earnestly talking through her feelings with her friends. It gives Candy and Grenda a bit more time to have some real emotion and follows up on Mabels lesson in "Society of the Blind Eye". She already learned that it's better to live with the bad stuff and learn, but now she also knows that you don't have to carry the bad stuff alone, and that a good friend won't stop being your friend because you aren't performing happiness. That theme can then be picked back up and really hammered home during "Escape From Reality" when she starts facing how shallow Mabelland is.
Anyways back to the primary A plot:
Instead of the crowd of girls it's just a crowd of kids who are all calling him by a different name and claiming to have bonded over a bunch of different interests he doesn't actually have, so he panics and runs out of there. (Basically a Kidz Bop version of what would happen if some of Stan's old "buddies" caught up with him)
Now on the drive home, they have a different conversation. Stan admits that his way of doing things isn't a very stable one, and it always ends with him being alone, but since it was his only option for so long he doesn't really know how else to be. And then Dipper can reassure him that, he, at least, thinks his Grunkle Stanley is pretty great. (Emphasis on the Stanley). Maybe they can both figure out how to be actually confident, together.
ALSO THE B PLOT IS FORD BEING LEFT HOME ALONE WITH WENDY AND IT'S REALLY AWKWARD UNTIL MONSTER STUFF HAPPENS AND THEY GAIN A MUTUAL RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER AS BADASSES!
The monster stuff could be anything tbh, maybe the science magic bullshit from the portal reactivating aggravated a long sleeping cryptid and now it's out for revenge on whoever interrupted its nap. That way we can reinforce that the space between dimensions is weak for a plot sprinkle while primarily focusing on emotional development for the main characters before we get into "Dipper and Mabel vs. The Future". I called it a B plot but it's honestly probably more of a glorified cutaway gag, I don't know how feasible it is to fit all of this into one episode.
I have a really specific scene that I would want to happen at the climax of their side story where Wendy saves Ford's ass at the last minute when he wasn't expecting it and he's like
"How on earth did you manage that?!"
"Dude, my dad is Dan Corduroy. I've been training for stuff like this since I could walk."
"Boyish Dan???????"
And then Wendy suddenly has tons of new ammo to tease her dad with because no one has dared use that name since the 80s
#gravity falls#i like to use whatever I'm obsessed with to trick myself into writing exercises#highly recommend it's very effective#rewriting for fun#gf

Book: Open Heart (Post Series)
Characters: Tobias Carrick x F!MC, the David Gandy
Rating: Teen +
Warnings: Sexual innuendo, nothing big
Words: 1,245
Summary: This is sort of a follow-up to Starstruck, based on this ask by @liaromancewriter. Casey always thinks she's seeing stars - the celebrity version - and on this quick getaway with her husband, she really saw one. Now, Tobias claims he has, too. Does Casey believe him?
A/N: In my HC, Casey has a crush on David Gandy, and she insists he does not look like Ethan. (Conversely, in E/K land, Kaycee has a crush on Jesse Williams and insists he looks nothing like Tobias! lol) So that made this little ask more fun! Ironically, the Tobias & Casey edit was also made by @liaromancewriter - so this works perfectly!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2fad90546c5bb3d12d5af57a98255215/88badc1888db462b-9a/s540x810/35a38af4a625fa796eaacb5edb2e4557c9c0249c.jpg)
Their flight was delayed…again. As much as Casey and Tobias enjoyed their little getaway, they were anxious to get home to their little girl. Tobias sensed that this latest delay was pushing his wife to her limits. So, doing what any good husband would do… he immediately offered to get her chocolate. After an appreciative kiss, he was on his way.
After a short wait on line, he was heading back to Casey with her Snickers bar in hand, nibbling on a Kit Kat of his own, when the collision occurred. Tobias and both candy bars tumbled to the ground as the man who knocked him down struggled to stay on his feet.
“Ah, shit!” Tobias moaned as the well-dressed man offered his hand to help him to his feet. The look of sincere contrition on the stranger’s face disarmed Tobias immediately.
“So sorry, mate!” The man stated with a distinctly British accent. “Completely my fault. I heard the announcement of a gate change after bumping my flight for the fifth time, and…” he sighed. “No matter, it’s no fault of yours, and now look what I’ve done!”
“Hey, no sweat,” Tobias grinned as he dusted himself off. “Accidents happen. There were no casualties, so we’re good.”
The well-dressed man looked down to see a scrape on Tobias’s knee and two pulverized chocolate bars.
“I think those chocolate bars would disagree with you, and look at your knee….”
“Ah, the knee is nothing,” Tobias waved. “My wife and I are both doctors. We can more than handle a little scrape. But I better get her another candy bar, or she might not be willing to help me at all.”
“Oh my, I do feel bad,” the gentleman fretted as he grabbed his wallet and handed Tobias a fifty-dollar bill. “Here, this is the least I can do. Get some sweets for your wife before you return to her. I’m a family man myself, and you know the saying, happy wife, happy life.”
“It’s really not necessary…” Tobias started… when something about the man’s smile stopped him cold. “Hey, wait a minute… I know you… you’re….”
Attention all passengers. Flight 4776, departing from gate 26 to Heathrow International Airport is boarding. Final call for all passengers on flight number 4776 to Heathrow.
“As much as I’d love to stay and chat, I’m afraid they’re playing my song.”
“Yes! Go! Go! But please take this,” Tobias attempted to hand back the money.
“No! It’s the least I can do! Get something sweet for your lady, and tell her David is terribly sorry about your knee!”
“DAVID!” Tobias gasped as the suited man disappeared into the crowd.
Still a little flabbergasted, Tobias returned to Casey sans chocolate bar. She looked up from her book as he approached with a slight pout.
“Tobias,” she frowned. “Where’s my Snickers?”
“Pulverized,” he deadpanned.
“Huh?”
“Case… you’re never going to believe what happened. I was minding my own business, eating my Kit Kat, when some guy plowed into me.”
She looked her husband over, interrupting him when she reached his knee. “Oh my goodness!” she blurted upon seeing his knee. “Tobias, you’re bleeding!”
“Ah, that’s nothing. Just a little scrape but… the candy bars didn’t survive.”
“That’s OK,” Casey smiled, “as long as you come back to me in one piece, it’s all good.”
Still dumbfounded, Tobias stood dazed, the fifty still in his hand, and Casey was becoming concerned.
“Tobias,” she started. “Are you… OK?”
“Yeah, uh… you’re never going to believe who my assailant was.”
“Well?” She asked with a questioning brow.
“David Gandy.”
A loud snort escaped her. “OK. I had thought you’d stop teasing me about celebrity sightings. Yes, that wasn’t Harry Styles the other night. But I did see Noah Kahan, and that’s been proven! So can you stop mocking me now?”
“I’m not mocking! I’m serious as a heart attack! He was rushing to his flight, and he slammed right into me! His flight was about to take off, so he gave me this $50 to buy you a new candy bar since he destroyed yours….”
Casey already had her phone in hand. “Tobias, dear. I love you, but what would David Gandy be doing in North Carolina? I mean, come on, he….” her voice trailed as her eyes went wide.
“What is it?” Tobias asked, leaning over her shoulder for a better look at David Gandy’s latest Instagram post.
Tobias plopped into the seat next to Casey, a satisfied smirk on his face. “I told you.”
“You’re the guy he crashed into!?”
“Yep, and he pulverized your Snickers bar.”
“Well! Where the hell is it!?”
“What? The candy bar?”
“YES!!!”
“In the trash.”
“TOBIAS! Why would you do that? David Gandy destroyed my damn candy bar… and you threw it out? I would save that for life!”
“You’re joking, right?”
“I’m not joking at all! But wait! His post says his flight was delayed again… Oh my God! I can find him! I can get another candy bar, and I’ll ask him to step on it so I can keep that one instead!”
“Yeah,” Tobias shuddered, “because that wouldn’t be weird.”
“OK,” Casey jumped to her feet. “I’m going to find him.”
But Tobias grabbed her hand, tugging him back to him before she got far.
“Uh, sweetheart… before you run off… you know that ‘hall pass list’ we always joke about… that is just a joke… right?”
Casey crossed her arms, an impish grin on her lips. “Why, Dr. Carrick? Are you telling me I’m not allowed to screw David if I find him?”
“Well, after you ask him to step on your Snickers bar, I’m sure he’ll be all turned on, but should the opportunity arise… I would really prefer it if you declined.”
“You understand that means if Shakira comes dancing over to you the second I leave… you have to say no, too.”
“Baby,” he sighed. “I don’t want Shakira. I only want you.”
“Right…. tell me you haven’t had a little Casey and Shaira fantasy run through that little mind of yours one or two hundred times?”
Casey broke into a fit of giggles as Tobias yanked her down onto his lap.
“What are you doing?” she playfully protested.
“Using you to conceal anything that may… come up… if you keep talking like that!”
Casey wrapped her arms around her husband’s neck and plastered a kiss on his cheek.
“Take it easy, Dr. Carrick. The list is all in good fun. You are the only one that I want.”
“You sure of that? ‘Cause far as I know, his flight hasn’t taken off yet.”
“I’m very sure! But, I wish David had merch like Noah – there should be a way for me to get something out of you for this.”
“Well,” Tobias said, lifting the fifty-dollar bill. “You could get fifty dollars of something on David?”
“He really gave this to you?” she asked, eyes full of wonder.
“He did.”
“So… he touched this?”
“That’s kind of how it works, Casey.”
Casey took the bill from his hand and held it against her chest momentarily before carefully placing it in her purse.
“What are you doing with that?” he asked.
“Framing it. The second we get home!”
“I’m hoping you’ll hug Sammy first?”
“Of course. Then… this is being framed. Oh, what wall should we put it on?”
“You’re not serious?”
“Oh, I’m serious, baby. Serious as a heart attack.”

The rest of the mob au of my ocs
These are the rest of the ideas I’ve come up with, but I haven’t drawn their mob version yet.
Navin
I imagine Navin owning a fancy nightclub “The Dream”, this nightclub is unique for being magical (because it is). Folks can come in and have fun/relax, but don’t let the illusion confuse you. Navin takes his business seriously, and while he loves fun, he also doesn’t take crap from others. He plays his part, but whenever someone spills information that relates to hurting the incident, he reports it to his detective friend Gab Silver. Navin works for both the cops and the criminals (depending on who and what they do, he has some morals), having all of them wrapped around his fingers. He does have his own group, some are seen in his nightclub, but the rest are doing their jobs.
Candy, Ty, Victoria
I’ve linked these three together because they work with Gab, Gab works for a special agency that has many departments for medical, police, and anything else for law and helping others. Gab works for the law/police department, here are the jobs that tbe others have.
Candy
She a jr research, she works with Gab (but in Gab office, because she doesn’t want Candy to get hurt). Because of her computer skills, she can hack and find anything she seeks. Candy wants to go along with Gab when she doing her job, but Gab won’t because of Candy's safety. She hates it, but listen to her big sister figure. When candy not working, she hangs out with her best friend (also crush) Ty.
Ty
Ty is the department jr doctor, he helps Victoria and the other doctors to help the other officers and Gab. He is very intelligent and talented for his young age, so he is treated respectfully by the other staff. When not busy, he hangs with his best friend (also crush) Candy.
Victoria
Victoria is the department's head nurse (also Gab's mother figure), she is the best at her job and makes sure things get done. She also helps repair Gab whenever she gets hurt (needs new robotic parts, etc…), and she is proud of Gab for following her dream of helping people. She still is worried because Gab is her child (adopted child), even though Gab is an adult.

Karkat’s gender, HIC, and the Virgin Mary
Karkat says he really admires HIC because of her ability to keep shit together as a leader and I can’t help but think of what HIC represents for other characters
In the beta verse, Grandpa ran away from her, Nanna grew up resenting her, on the alpha verse Grandma English both resented her and ran away from her, while Pops June just sorta, stayed, just passively accepted the Crocker name and became heiress without any negative feelings being canonized. It really feels like out of everyone June is the most receptive of HIC because of how she represents femininty
HIC is hyper feminine and has the persona of Betty Crocker, a 50s housewife, the way that she haunts other people who struggle with femininity just seems representative of that as well, Roxy resents her, Nanna wanted to learn her tricks to take her down someday, Grandpa just straight up ran away from her*, and it just feels in line with their relationships with feminity, Jake being the most avoidant dreaming of being this hyper masculine fever dream and Jane trying to subvert feminity but never managing to do so despite her being really masculine, loving to wear mustaches, interest in hard boiled detectives, but still trapped by the limitations set by HIC’s brainwashing of her.
(*Also bcz ppl keep getting hung up on that I’m not saying Jake hates femininity I’m saying that Grandpa who is a Macho Explorer who plays masculine and is basically Jake’s idealized version of a man, he runs away from femininty bcz he doesn’t want to think about his gender, he doesn’t want to realize he’s not confortable as a manly man, he goes off to perform masculinity on Earth C and is shoved into masculine roles such as the husband on candy tl and the hero with incredible power by Aranea)
The Collide segment also has those girls that grew to resent feminity being the ones to battle against HIC
And that’s a general theme in Homestuck that LEADERSHIP IS FEMININE, Roxy is described as a great leader by her ability to stitch the team together and trying to be there for her friends, but also by Vriska taking the lead in the end while Karkat just bitterly fades into the role of just listening. June and Meenah are also leaders of their sessions, and June specially had this thing of really looking up to Vriska, similar to Karkat and HIC, of looking up to someone who was a victim of their society’s ideals of being a leader and whatnot.
And the relationship I wanna highlight is KARKAT, KANAYA AND HIC, because there are a lot of conections, the most obvious one being Karkat and Kanaya who are really close friends, but also how they subtly contrast each other. Karkat wants to be a masculine badass leader, Kanaya wants to bring back the troll species, they both do not accomplish it how they wanted. Karkat is not a leader by the end, he just listens to Vriska’s plan while bitterly on the back, Kanaya fails to protect the matriorb and only gets it back way later, their attempts at fulfilling their caste and gender expectations fail
And also it’s really telling how Karkat keeps having female role models (HIC and Kanaya, Vriska takes his leader position, he sucks up to Jade and Terezi melding with crushes) while the one male role models he could have (Kankri and Signless) he just denies their existence basically.
Another point is that Kanaya is the child of a virgin mother and comes back from the dead, she is a Jesus figure, not Karkat.
And the relationship between HIC and Kanaya is also one based on their roles
Both want the Matriorb, both want to bring the troll species back, but both are unable to without Roxy. Kanaya and HIC both have this relationship of wanting to fulfill their porpoises of “mothers” for the whole species despite not having the ability to do so on their own.
And that just talks to homestuck’s theme of DESIRED ROLE VS REALIZED ROLE
Karkat wants to be a badass hero, but he is much happier when he is listening and doting after his friends, he is “the mom friend” while Kanaya admits that she is really bad at auspitism despite constantly being told to do that, Roxy and Vriska take the lead of their sessions despite Dirk wanting to control things on his session and Karkat attempting to be that. None of the characters fulfill their desired roles because it’s not for them.
The only place where Karkat manages to be a leader is on the non canonical black hole on the Candy timeline, the tl where everything went wrong and everyone is unhappy, Jane fulfilled her role as HIC’s sucessor, Jake is in an unhappy hetero marriage, Dirk managed to make a big impact by literally dying, June got a rushed and shallow marriage, they all fulfilled their roles based straight and cis ideals, and they’re all unhappy.
(That’s a reason why I hate Com Kat, he’s clearly unhappy and married with a 19 yo that had a crush on him when he was 15, and ppl still worship as a badass warrior)
THE POINT IS, Karkat is transfem and constantly worshipping female figures in his life, showed at his unhappiest when he’s in a “masculine” role, and a lot of his traits are muddled with Kanaya’s, the mom friend, the one who listens, when Kanaya much like EVERY HOMESTUCK CHARACTER is happier when they DON’T HAVE TO FULFILL THEIR GENDER ROLES

What kind of video game the primarch would play
(yes, we are back to our classic stupid primarch hc lol)
Roboute: Just let him play Stardew Valley in peace yall. He just want to be a farmer and pet his cows.
Rogal: He tried various city build games, and hated them all. They were just too inaccurate. However, he has finished Candy Crush.
Horus: He would fucking stream himself playing Fnaf. Fucking asshole.
Sanguinius: smile softly and gently at his switch, as he play Doom Eternal with full volume
Konrad: Did not think he would like video game. Fulgrim gave him a switch with animal crossing new horizons, and he was fucking GONE. Currently carefully cross breeding roses to get all the colors. He has no idea time travel is a thing the poor baby.
Mortarion: REALLY liked Jouney and Okami, now is playing Sky: children of light daily.
Angron: Katamari Damacy somehow satisfy the urge of the nails for violence. It's pretty terrifying to see him roar in victory at a tv, only to see cute pastel colored balls.
Leman: Own Skyrim on every console it ever came on. Become a werewolf every time. Has yet to finish the game on any of them.
Magnus: Make fun of Leman for playing Skyrim, but the nerd play Dragon age. Yes, he like the dating part.
Jaghatai: STUPIDLY good at rythmes games. Holly fuck. You have never seen someone going this hard at beat saber.
Lion: Dwarf Fortress. The versions without the graphics. He never smile for a second while playing it.
Ferrus: Actually really like survival horror game like silent hill, outlast and Resident evil.
Fulgrim:. Bayonetta stan. Will lecture you on her lore.
Vulkan: HUGE pokemon fan. Still has his og Charizard from Red, that he transfered all the way to the most recent games.
Lorgar: has a small farm in minecraft. He like collecting flowers and dogs.
Corvus: She has played the entirety of Persona 5. And Royal. She's currently working on 3. She has opinion.
Perturabo: Insist on playing Factorio, even if it make him enraged. What he actually want to play is City Skyline, but Rogal called the game dumb so he refuse to touch it.
Alpharius Omegon: Alpharius play genshin impact, and Omegon play Fortnight. Everyone beleive that they still play WoW, wich would be less embarassing.

Dave Lizewski x Reader | Todd Haynes x Sister!Reader
Summary: You’re Todd’s popular little sister, and you like one of his not-so-popular friends. What happens when a couple of words leaves the two on non-speaking terms?
Warnings: Language! (“Is anyone gonna deal with the fact that Cap just said “language”?”) Get it? A superhero joke for a story based on a superhero.
A/N: It’s the Evan Peters version of Todd. I just love Evan, so that's how I imagined it. If you want to picture Augustus, you can. There are no rules here. Make it your own.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Todd and Marty were both standing around Dave as he grabbed his books for his next class. When he finished grabbing his Chemistry textbook, he slammed his locker door shut. They start walking to class, but not without a little chit-chat.
“So, you guys down for Atomic Comics this weekend?” Dave asked his two best friends. Ever since the boys met each other, they’ve always loved comics. They would be able to tell you the exact comic from one line if you asked.
“Yeah, I’m down,” Marty said with a shrug of his shoulders. Dave nodded at his response before both of them turned their head to Todd.
“My sister is grounded, so I have to make sure my sister doesn't invite anyone over this weekend. My parents are going out of town. If I went she would have to go,” Todd contemplated his options. You don’t like superheroes as much as Todd, so you’d probably complain. And if they go to Todd’s house, he’d be spending his time making sure you aren’t doing things you’re not supposed to.
“We-“ Dave couldn’t even finish his sentence before a herd of people crowded around the hallway. “What’s going on over there?” Marty asked in confusion. Todd and Dave looked towards the mob. Every day, since Y/N started school, kids would crowd around her like she was a celebrity. She could get things done at the speed of light. She once threw a party at the last minute, and it ended up in a magazine.
They stood, watching as the mob of people started to disperse. They moved a little closer to see Katie and her friend, but also Y/N. Y/N looked to be handing out a flyer. Todd quickly walked over and took the flyer from his sister’s hand.
“Y/N, you’re grounded. You know you can’t do anything when you're grounded,” Todd yelled at his little sister. Y/N rolled her eyes before they landed on Dave. She stared at Dave with admiration in her eyes.
She continued to look at Dave as she spoke, “Mom and Dad said no one in the house, but they said nothing about going out. Here, take a flyer. If you want to hang with the cool kids, you’ll go.”
She tried to walk off before Todd grabbed her arm, snatching all the flyers from her hands. “Call it off, Y/N. What happens when pictures end up online? If mom and dad see them, we’re both going down. So, how about you go to Atomic Comics with me and the boys, and I won’t tell mom about her favorite dress that mysteriously ripped,” Todd said with a smirk.
Y/N looked at her brother furiously. “Fine, but only if you let me sit by Dave,” she whispered to her brother, so her brother’s best friend doesn’t hear. Todd knew about his sister’s crush on Dave. He also knew that Dave has a crush on Katie, so he allowed it.
He nodded his head, making Y/N smile. She started walking to class, but as she passed Dave she gave him a wink. Dave looked at his best friend’s sister with a nervous chuckle and watched as she walked away.
“I guess I’m going to Atomic Comics with you guys,” Todd told his friends as he side hugged his friends around the shoulders. They all understood that his going would also include Y/N, so they nodded their heads and started walking.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N and Todd walked into Atomic Comics. Y/N was not happy. She could be throwing the party of the century, but she was now hanging out with nerds and her crush. They sat down at the table with Todd’s friends. Todd sat with Marty and Y/N, as promised, sat next to Dave. Y/N was welcomed to a Y/F/F/M (your favorite flavor milkshake) milkshake.
“I ordered you guys a milkshake. Uh, I didn’t know what flavor you like, Y/N, so I got you Y/F/F/M,” Dave said nervously. Y/N blushed, turning her head, so the others wouldn’t see her. He knew my favorite milkshake flavor. Eeeep!
Y/N took the gesture as a sign that Dave liked her. She silently put her hand on Dave’s thigh. Dave’s body tensed up at the feeling of the girl's hand on his thigh. No one had ever touched him there before. He looked at the girl to see her on her phone playing candy crush. He slowly moved her hand off of his leg, only for it to once again place itself back on his leg, only higher. This went on for a couple of minutes before Dave had enough.
“Y/N, can I talk to you real quick?” he said through his teeth. He wasn’t upset. No, he was uncomfortable. They got up and walked towards the comic section.
“What was that?” Dave asked the girl he considered his sister.
“What? My hand on your thigh?” He nodded at her question. “I thought you liked me. Wait, do you not like me?” Dave didn’t speak for a couple of seconds. Y/N’s eyes started to tear up, knowing she just embarrassed herself.
Dave didn’t know how to handle the situation. How do you tell your friend’s kid sister that you don’t like her the same way she does? The next thing Dave said really set Y/N off. “Everyone knows I like Katie,” Dave said nervously.
Y/N was furious. “Are you for real? That Bitch?! You know she thinks you’re gay? That’s why you guys have been hanging out together so much. Not because she likes you, but because she thinks your gay! I didn’t tell her that you lied, but now...” Y/N yelled, not finishing her sentence out of anger. She grabbed the attention of her brother and Marty.
Dave must have forgotten who he was talking to because he just kept saying the wrong stuff. “I know. Please don’t tell her. I’m trying to find a way to tell her that I’m not,” Dave begged.
“You’re a loser and a dick. You probably have a loser dick also,” Y/N said. She didn’t mean it, but she was angry. She walked over to the table and grabbed her milkshake. She walked back over to Dave. She looked him in the eye as she poured her milkshake all over his head. Some of it slid off his head and down his face and body. With that, she ran out of the Comic shop in tears.
A cold and sticky Dave walked back over to his friends after watching Y/N run out. “You really hurt her feelings. You know, she told me while we were having a spa day that she rejected all the boys that asked her at school because she would rather be with either you or Kickass. You were the more predictable choice, but I also knew you didn’t like her like that. This is my fault. I should have been the big brother and told her the truth,” Todd looked down.
“Wait, you have spa days with your sister?” Marty laughed.
“That’s all you got from that? You know what? My sister is crying her eyes out on the streets, which makes her vulnerable to bad guys, so I’m gonna catch up with her,” he said, getting up and leaving the comic shop. Dave felt sorry, but there is only one thing he can do.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later that day, Todd tried to cheer Y/N up with a spa day. It helped a little but she was still heartbroken. He sat next to her on her bed and rubbed her back.
“Hey, you know that not everyone is going to like you back. You're gonna have crushes who reject you, just like today. But I want you to know that Dave does love you, just not the way you want him to,” Todd told his sister before leaving the room.
Y/N cried a little more before a knock was heard at her window. She walked over and moved her curtain to see Kickass at her window. She quickly opened it.
“Kickass? What are you doing here?” Y/N asked, confused.
“Well, your friend Dave messaged me saying that you needed some cheering up. He wanted me to tell you that he’s sorry. He didn’t mean to hurt your feelings,” Dave told Y/N.
“If Dave’s so sorry, why can’t he tell me himself. He totally hurt my feelings, and no offense, Kickass, but this meeting means nothing to me without Dave,” Y/N told the masked superhero.
Dave opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it. He thought about what he was gonna do next for at least two minutes. He walked towards the girl sitting on her bed.
“I think this will cheer you up,” Dave said, checking to make sure no one could see or hear anything. He reached for his mask, and slowly started to lift it up. Y/N looked up at the superhero, and she saw her brother’s best friend.
Her eyes widened in shock. “Dave, you’re Kick-“ Y/N got out before her mouth was covered. Dave had covered her mouth with his gloved hands to keep her from yelling his secret out to the world.
“I would really like it if your brother and the rest of the world didn’t know about this. But, I really am sorry. You mean a lot to me, and seeing you sad really hurt me. You're like a little sister to me. I’m sorry I can’t be what you want me to be, but I really do love you,” Dave told Y/N confidently.
Y/N nodded her head, still releasing the tears from her eyes. Dave took off his glove and started to wipe her tears away. When Dave finished, he pulled Y/N into a side hug and laid a kiss on top of her head.
They stayed like that for about a minute before Y/N spoke, “Dave, I know you don’t wanna be with me, but would you like to stay and hang out?”
Y/N looked at the boy with hopeful eyes. The ones that make you feel bad if you say no. The ones a lost dog gives you when you find it shaking, cold, and wet from the rain. Dave tried not to look, but it was impossible not to give in. He agreed to Y/N’s proposal. The girl's face lit up like Christmas.
She grabbed her headphones and started to make her way towards her brother’s room. One time, she went to borrow something from Todd but was met with the sight of her brother jerking off to porn.
Y/N opened the door to Todd’s room, to see Todd jamming out to music on his laptop. Y/N snuck in, quietly. She made sure not to bring attention to herself as she grabbed clothes from his drawer. She successfully completed her mission and made her way back to her room.
Meanwhile, in Y/N’s room, Dave walked around looking at Y/N’s things. He looked towards her desk to see a photo. He walked towards it to see a photo from 4 years ago held in a grey frame. It was a photo of Y/N, Todd, and Dave at Y/N’s 10th birthday party. Y/N had cake all over her face.
Dave remembered that day. Y/N and Todd’s dad bought two cakes. He was always one to pull pranks. They put the candles on the decoy cake, and they sang ‘Happy Birthday’. When the time was right, Todd and Dave snuck behind Y/N, picked up the cake, and pushed it into her face. Everyone laughed, even Y/N.
Y/N quietly walked back into the room with her brother’s clothes. She saw Dave looking at her 10th birthday picture. He seemed to be lost in thought, so when she cleared her throat to let him know she was there, he jumped like a cat next to a horn.
He stuttered trying to explain what was going on, but Y/N just threw the clothes at him and left the room. She sat outside the door as he got dressed. She heard a couple of clattering sounds but knew it was Dave being clumsy.
When he opened the door, she almost fell back. She picked herself off the floor and made her way into her room. She picked up her laptop, and relaxed on the bed, watching random movies on Netflix. And that’s how they fell asleep.
Around 4 am Dave woke up to see a snoring Y/N laying on his chest. Careful not to wake her up, he lifted her up and moved from his spot. He made sure he had all of the items he came in with and left, but not without a quick glance at Y/N. He smiled at the girl, and quietly closed her window.
I don't deserve her. She deserves better.

I’ve seen some people who finished Omori talking about how they don’t understand the game’s plot, what happens in the good ending or why the protagonist even decided to change his ways. So then, here’s my thoughts on Omori’s story.
Warning: SPOILERS AHOY. Only read this if you’ve already finished the game and seen the good or true ending. Or if you don’t plan on playing the game at all but still want to know the whole story.
I’ve seen some people around the internet talk about how Sunny’s character isn’t clear to them or how they feel Sunny doesn’t deserve a good ending. Here’s some thoughts I have on why I think Sunny’s growth was well depicted.
There’s two main routes you can go through in the game: the “Reality” route and the “Hikikomori” route.
In the “Hikikomori” route, Sunny stays in Headspace forever and we get to learn many additional details about him. Sunny’s parents are implied to have known what Sunny did to Mari all along. It’s also implied that Sunny’s mother covered the whole thing up and chose to present it as a suicide as well cus, in her own words, she can’t bear the thought of losing both of her kids.
Sunny’s mother insinuates her son isn’t a “good boy” even though she begs him to be good but she still sees him as her little boy (as seen by the overly-sweet and positive messages she leaves around the house and her voice mails) and needs him alive so she can survive her own grief. Sunny’s father is shown cutting down the hanging tree and telling Sunny he isn’t his son, presumably disowning Sunny. The father keeps being absent forever afterwards.
Fast forward to the present and the “Reality” route, Sunny’s moving in 3 days. He knows his time is up in the real world and the biggest catalyst for his personal growth is that he’s finally seeing his old friends in the REAL world after 4 years of only seeing their loving, idealized child version in dreams. For the first time, he gets to witness the collateral consequences of what he did to Mari in his now teenaged friends: Aubrey spirals into delinquency after feeling like she was thrown aside by everyone she loved. Hero is guilt ridden, can’t even go near Mari’s grave and gives up on his dreams of being a chef. Kel wants to make things better but feels powerless, useless and like a screwup. Basil lives in a miserable state of almost constant fear and psychosis.
Sunny finally gets to see the huge toll his lie took on his friends’ entire lives as they keep blaming themselves for not knowing about Mari’s supposed suicidal ideations. He’s finally forced to face reality and he still tries to hide in dreamworld but he can’t. The inhabitants of Headspace are all people or fictional characters he knows or likes in real life (that he changed in his dreams, like how Kim’s brother is a sweet gentle giant and Sweetheart looks just like the candy shop owner at the supermarket) and their quests end up leading him to events where he’s reminded over and over again his dreams will end soon (the end of the underwater highway, the tree near the whale, the shadows of Mari and Basil) and that he needs to delve into Blackspace.
This shows how his own subconscious mind knows well what needs to be done; he’s putting the mental and emotional effort of making himself face what he’s done, shown through the contrast between the whimsical nature of Headspace and the dark surrealism of Blackspace.
As this happens in Sunny’s psyche, in the real world he can try to “atone” a bit by doing good things for his little community like completing requests people around him have. He still has a lot of trouble being near Basil in the real world but considering his entire subconscious mainly revolves around finding and rescuing Basil, he wants and needs to face Basil sincerely before he runs out of time.
We’re shown through memories that Sunny’s personality was always quiet, wary, a bit distant and very bad at dealing with pressure. Some people even describe him as cowardly or mediocre but he was just a small kid who’s entire world ended when he was 12. Since then, he never left his house, spending most of his days asleep rather than awake. It’s no wonder his personality isn’t as developed as his friends. His friends, although they were also in immense pain, at least still continued to live beyond Mari’s death. Sunny didn’t. He only lived through sleep.
Subconsciously, it’s shown Sunny both loves and hates Basil. This is seen in Blackspace with the dialogue he has with the “strangers” walking in the void. They talk about how Sunny (as Omori) does horrible things to Basil in the darkness of Blackspace because he struggles with facing the truth of his own actions. It’s also revealed through datamine of Blackspace’s metaphorical photo album that Basil, in his attempts to save Sunny from the judgement of others and to get him to come out of catatonia, was the one who come up with the plan to hang Mari.
Sunny describes Mari as looking as if calmly asleep when he drags her up the stairs. Her eyes remained peacefully closed until Sunny and Basil hung her. Then, Sunny turned back to look at Mari’s corpse, her previously closed eyes were wide open. She might have even been still alive, might have opened her eyes during or after the noose was tied to her neck. Or the belief he saw her eyes open could have been a manifestation of Sunny’s guilt, instead.
Either way, the horrifying possibilities surrounding Mari’s death lead to Sunny handling his emotional pain by subconsciously taking it out on Basil. It’s why Basil in Blackspace is shown constantly suffering and dying in many different ways. It’s the only way Sunny has been able to deal with himself; by forcing Basil into the darkest corners of his mind, his perfect colorful dreamworld can’t be ruined by the ugly reality Basil’s mere presence represents. It’s less painful to try to forget Basil and to forever blame him for both of their sins.
Still, even with all these conflicted feelings, Sunny’s tried to come to terms with love he still feels for Basil many times before. The shadows point out how this isn’t the first time he’s tried to save the Flower Boy; how all the previous times before ended in Sunny failing to find redemption and so his mind turns back to torturing the Basil of his dreams instead.
However, one of the Blackspace shadows also mentions a very important detail that changes almost everything this time around: his time is almost up in the real world. Whether this means he’ll commit suicide or move away, it’s almost time for him to leave the friends he’s always loved so much behind.
Sunny is forced to do a lot of internal work and self-reflection in what little time he has left. It’s shown through his dream actions, the surreal imagery surrounding him and the characters with all the sub plots his subconscious makes up.
In the route to the good ending, he traverses Blackspace and manages to listen to every harsh truth Basil’s shadow has to tell him. His attempts to save Basil mean he’s fighting his own mind, forcing himself to accept the truth.
To achieve redemption for his greatest mistake, Sunny needs to start with accepting Basil entirely; he has to stop making Basil take the brunt of their combined regrets. It means being willing to finally face the REAL Basil instead of permanently burying him in the most painful place within Sunny’s mind.
So basically, it’s obvious to me that Sunny is forced out of his “comfortable” hikikomori misery the moment he opens the door to meet the REAL Kel.
Sunny and Basil have a confrontation in the real world. When Sunny entera Basil’s room, we see poor Basil suicidal and at his limit. He’s clearly in the throes of a psychotic episode and at the mercy of hallucinations and delusions he can’t escape from (“There’s no way out of this is there, Sunny?”). Basil attacks you in an attempt to save you by killing the “thing behind you” but as we know, there isn’t actually something behind you.
There was never any monster to take the blame for Basil’s regrets, nor yours. It’s always been just you.
Meanwhile, Sunny is trying his best not to completely lose his shit so he can save Basil and stop him from potentially killing the both of them. Sunny likely loses an eye in the fight, shown by the blood coming from your socket and the bandage over it in the hospital.
Incidentally, the eye you lose is on the same side as the eye that can be seen peeking through the hair of Mari’s face as she’s hanging from the tree.
In the good ending, the song at the end talks about how even after confessing the truth, Sunny is alone once again, so it’s not actually clear if Aubrey, Kel and Hero actually forgave him. I feel like this is deliberately left up to interpretation by the writers. The lyrics then continue on to say Sunny still finds it hard to wake up, still finds himself plagued some days with lingering regret, but that he still tries to take it all one step at a time to carry on living.
With the song’s lyrics in mind, the end scene that shows Basil and Sunny smiling at each other while Mari’s shadow leaves them doesn’t mean they’re completely fine all of a sudden. Whether their friends forgave them or not, they at least finally have the relief of honesty. The burden of their unbearable shared secret is now off their shoulders. It’s finally out in the open, which means they both can now start healing and working to find the redemption Sunny was looking for in Blackspace. It also means they can go back to loving each other again without the crushing pain they both felt in each other’s presence.
I agree that Aubrey and the gang get pretty left out in the good ending, though. I wish there was more of them and their reactions to the truth BUT I think it’s sadly a deliberate choice by the writers to leave their reaction up to the player’s interpretation. This can feel extremely unfulfilling to many people (me included, I hate when authors do that tbh) but also to many others that’s a good thing cus they get to apply their own personal meaning and feelings.
I personally feel like the friends forgiving Sunny and Basil right off the bat would be incredibly unrealistic. I think they would need a lot of time (especially Aubrey) for them to forgive the lie that wrecked their lives for years. Forgiveness isn’t impossible but it would probably come in the form of a slow, difficult, heartbreaking process. Bittersweet.
Redemption isn’t just about forgiveness, anyway.
Even if a person is never forgiven by the people they’ve hurt, they can still find redemption for their actions through doing good for the people around them and the world at large. An example of this is shown through what Sunny can do on his last days in his neighborhood. The gratitude and additional flowers he receives in the hospital from each person he’s helped are proof he can still do good for others even after something as horrible and unforgivable as accidental murder. In a way, it’s proof that his life is still worth living.
But ultimately that’s just my own interpretation of the ending and I understand other people would interpret it all differently. Some see forgiveness as a given in the story while there’s also others who think Sunny doesn’t deserve forgiveness or those who think Sunny is a sociopath/psychopath or that Basil is the true villain of the game. I think this is why the ending was left so open, to favor all the different interpretations people have of it.
ETA: Here’s a different take on Sunny’s parents. This post argues that, despite the initial implications, they actually didn’t know about the attempted coverup. It’s a really good writeup explaining the whys and hows and has me reconsidering that part of the story!

MY LORD WE NEED A LILY REMUS AND REGULAS FRIENDSHIP - imagine the chaos all of them just talking so fast over something they’re exited about - and pots cap and the team just stand their like wtf
I love this ask!!! I combined it with the one below because they just fit SO well. Send your prayers to Kasey, everyone <3 Sweater Weather credit goes to @lumosinlove!
Anon 1: Loops nerding out on something (stars and planets) and unloading shit ton of knowledge to Sirius. Sirius is just there sitting and smiling (because LOOK AT MY SMART BOYFRIEND!!! ) but also actively listening to it and asking questions and doubts. that just meeelttts Loops’s heart because nobody actually listens this intently or are even interested in Astronomy
To say Kasey was lost was…an understatement. The Triplets of Terror had been talking for well over thirty minutes; their trains of thought were fully off the rails and had ground his own little mining cart of a thought process into dust about twenty minutes prior.
Thankfully, he wasn’t alone—Logan and Finn had given up to play Candy Crush on their phones while Leo napped, and most of the other guys had straight-up left the room, not that the triplets would notice.
Sirius and Pots on the other hand, had never been more whipped.
“—and then they had to change the battery type for the new rover!” Remus was saying as he flailed his hand around in excitement. Lily nodded along, but Regulus made a timeout motion.
“Wait, didn’t they redesign the entire thing?” he asked, looking to Kasey as if he had any clue what topic they had moved on to.
Kasey shrugged. “Perseverance was supposed to be the better version of Opportunity, right?”
From the looks on their faces, he may as well have admitted he was a serial killer. “Bliz,” Lily said indignantly. “Are you trying to say something about Oppy?”
“Because if you are, you need to sit your ass down and learn some shit.” Regulus narrowed his eyes and took a deep breath. Kasey died a little inside. “Both of the Mars rovers are meant to take pictures and samples of the landscape—”
“—but in different ways,” Remus finished. Regulus didn’t bat an eye, though Kasey was pretty sure that if anyone else had interrupted him, they would’ve lost an eye. “And when Oppy’s battery pack died, they knew she still had valuable information and that they would need another rover to collect what they couldn’t bring back from her.”
“Which is where Percy comes in,” Lily said, as if it was obvious. “James, you’ve been watching the livestreams with me. Kasey’s wrong, right?”
James hummed his agreement, though Kasey was willing to bet he wasn’t registering a single word she said. “You’re so smart, honey.”
“What do you think they’ll do next?” Remus asked, his eyes getting the same unfocused look they did when the topic was about to do a 180-degree turn. “Like, we can’t land rovers on stars yet, but it would be pretty cool if we could plot constellations in 3D models.”
“That would be awesome,” Regulus whispered.
Sirius snorted. “The family would go batshit over that, Reg. Can you imagine how insufferable they’d be?”
“Ugh, you’re right.” Regulus wrinkled his nose. “Do we sacrifice science for even more status symbols?”
“No,” Remus and Lily said at the same time. Kasey settled back into his chair and closed his eyes; maybe he could fit a nap in while they talked.
Something smacked his foot lightly and he cracked open an eye to see both James and Sirius giving him disbelieving looks. Listen, James mouthed, gesturing to the triplets as they chatted at light speed about the origins of planet names.
“I’m telling you, Re, it should’ve been named Helios!” Regulus sighed.
“I don’t care if it’s a star, the sun is the sun and it deserves its own special name!” Remus argued. “Besides, Helios is already a system. If we were keeping with naming conventions—”
“Who cares about naming conventions?” Lily grumbled. “Pick the one that sounds the best so people remember it.”
“If we were keeping with naming conventions,” Remus continued aggressively. “The sun would have been named Apollo, and that just sounds lame next to everything else.”
There was a beat of blessed silence.
Lily bit her lip. “You’re not wrong.”
“Of course he’s not,” Sirius scoffed, still looking at Remus like he hung the stars.
“Love you too, babes” Remus leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. He practically glowed with happiness.
“Apollo isn’t lame!” Finn piped up from his couch with a frown. “Apollo is the coolest of the pantheon!”
“Which pantheon?”
“Both!”
All three rolled their eyes at the same time and James stifled a laugh in Sirius’ shoulder. “Haven’t you guys talked about this before?” he asked, bemused.
“Yes,” they chorused.
“The consensus was Athena and we’re not talking criticism,” Regulus said.
“War goddess, strategist, artist, engineer.” Remus counted off on his fingers. “She checks all the boxes.”
“And she’s a badass,” Lily added. “If Athena is in a myth, it’s gonna be good. Oh, we should do that for Halloween this year.”
Remus raised an eyebrow. “Dress up as Athena?”
“No, the gods.”
Regulus nodded slowly. “That could be cool. Dibs on Persephone.”
“Not Hades?”
“Nah. I’m not emo enough for that.”
Lily and Remus’ instant disagreements were lost in the explosion of laughter from everyone left in the room. Kasey leaned back into the cushions and prepared himself for a long, long afternoon.

Play Me One More Time
Pairing: Marcus Pike x F!Reader Words: 3900 Warnings: FLUFF, little bit of angst but it's completely overwhelmed by the FLUFF, a swear word or two Synopsis: Marcus puts out a call for your old band to get back together again. You accept, but how long will it take before old feelings for Marcus get in the way?
Inspired by this gifset
Fic Masterpost
The notification popped up on your phone during your lunch break at work. Where you sat at your classroom desk next to the window you could hear children screaming and laughing. You nearly missed the ping of your phone over the sounds.
Holding your half eaten sandwich in one hand, you curiously swiped down from the top of your phone and clicked on the notification without much thought.
Marcus Pike has sent you a message!
You lost your grip on your sandwich as it plonked down onto your lap, but that was the least of your worries. You frantically tried to exit out of the messaging app before it could open but nothing worked. The conversation opened and the word 'read' stared at you mockingly underneath his message.
You sighed, ignoring the sauce that was seeping through your cotton trousers. You had no choice but to read it now. And then you'd have to reply to whatever he had sent you or he'd think you were ignoring him.
Hey! Long time no speak! I've been in touch with Jo and Tom and was wondering if you wanted to get the old band back together? Maybe have a catch up if you're not too busy? Let me know :)
You chewed on your bottom lip as you reread the message half a dozen times, heart hammering in your chest as you realised Marcus must be back in your hometown. You'd heard through Jo that he'd moved to Washington a couple of years ago, so what had brought him back?
You haven't played in the band since your college days, and your only captive audience since then has been the pre-school kids you teach. But you couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Marcus again, the man you'd been head over heels in love with since you knew what love was.
The school bell rang throughout the building, signalling the end of recess and the beginning of afternoon lessons.
Marcus! So good to hear from you. Would love to catch up, are you free this weekend? x
By the time you cleaned up your trousers you had your reply.
This weekend is great. Want to meet at our old diner? Heard Mr Howells still owns it.
You grinned down at your phone, thinking about the afternoons you used to play hooky with Marcus and hide out at Mr Howells' diner. You were surprised Marcus remembered it.
He does! The burgers haven't changed either. Is Saturday 6pm any good?
You tapped your feet as you waited for his reply. Your children were lining up outside the door and you needed to know if you were having a date with your forever crush before continuing with your day.
When your phone pinged, you breathed out a sigh of relief.
Sounds perfect. Can't wait to see you again! :)
You sent the thumbs up emoji and put your phone away, opening the classroom door with a smile on your face and a pep in your step.
-
You'd been here, at Mr Howells' Diner, a week before Christmas with a couple of teacher friends you worked with but now it felt different. Now you had memories of you and Marcus giggling over overflowing chocolate milkshakes and feeling sick from gorging on too many salty fries floating through your head. You saw Marcus' baby face fading into a sharp jawline and high cheekbones, you'd seen him change from boy to man in this diner, and he'd seen you change from girl to woman.
You bounced from one foot to the other nervously as you peaked through the window of the door in search of your old friend.
"You could've waited inside," came a deep voice from behind you. You spun around and came face to face with Marcus. He glowed yellow and red under the neon sign above you, but he looked beautiful, grin plastered wide on his face as he took you in for the first time in years.
"Hey," you managed to breathe out a welcome without too much embarrassment, "I didn't know if you were already here."
"Shall we?" Marcus stepped closer to reach around you and open the door.
You blinked to readjust your eyes to the bright fluorescent lights inside the diner. You giggled when you realised Marcus was doing the same.
"You weren't lying, it's hardly changed since we were kids," Marcus laughed, eyeing the original furnishings and old menu signs hanging on the walls.
You took a seat in your old booth, the one you and Marcus would automatically flock to when you were younger. It was far enough away from the counter that you had privacy for your teenage musings, but it overlooked the car park so you could watch out for anyone you needed to hide from.
"This takes me back," Marcus mused, shaking off his coat when you did the same.
"Yeah, it brings back so many memories."
"Do they still do the Choc'o'Shock shakes?"
You laughed and pointed towards the milkshake menu above the counter.
"They do!?" Marcus gasped loudly, eyes wide in surprise, "that was my favorite, with the popping candy-"
"- and the cinnamon, yeah, we used to share because it was in the extra large glass."
"Yeah, oh man."
Your laughter died down as soon as the waitress came over and took your orders. Your nerves from earlier had completely disappeared. Even in the silence that followed the waitress leaving the table it was comfortable as you both tried to find the words to start a conversation.
"I've been in Washington for a couple of years," Marcus began.
"For work?"
"Yeah, I needed to go away for a bit. Some things happened and a fresh start was what I needed."
You nodded as you listened. You wanted to ask more but you had to remember your friendship wasn't what it used to be. There was a boundary now, an unspoken line that came with not being in each other's lives for so long.
"Are you back for good?" you asked.
"I hope so. Nothing beats home, y'know?"
"I dunno, I envied you moving to the city whilst I stayed on the outskirts. Felt like you were moving on to bigger and better things and I was staying still." You shrugged it off. You hadn't meant to be that honest but it was what you had felt at the time.
"You're still teaching aren't you?"
"Yeah," you smiled at the waitress as she brought over your drinks, you were glad for the distraction.
"You still like teaching?"
"I wouldn't want to do anything else," you smiled, thinking of the kids you taught, "it's a privilege to get to shape young minds, y'know? Even at pre-school age, they're so inquisitive, and they question everything and I'm the one that gives them the answers."
Marcus smiled as he listened. You suddenly felt shy under his intense gaze, something you'd never felt around him before. But he was listening, really listening to you and it felt so good that he wanted to get to know this different, older version of the person he'd known years ago.
"You look happy," Marcus sighed happily, though you sensed something else in his tone that you couldn't put your finger on.
"I'm happy with my job," you replied, but now there was something in your tone, a comment unspoken, 'I'm happy with my job but not in other aspects of my life'.
"And outside of work?"
Damn you Marcus and your ability to look right through me.
You gave him a smile that didn't reach your eyes, a smile that told him that things weren't as perfect as your job.
"I can't complain."
"You can to me," Marcus pushed his coffee to the side and gave you his full attention. He'd always been good at giving you his full attention, maybe that was why it was so easy to fall in love with him.
"I live on my own, have for a while. It's fine, it's what it is." You couldn't look him in the eye, instead focusing on cars pulling in and out of the parking lot.
"I get it. The older I get the harder it is to find someone special," Marcus said wistfully. You glanced over to him and he showed you a crooked smile. "It is what it is."
Your food was placed down in front of you and thankfully your conversations turned lighthearted.
The hug he gave you on the steps outside the diner was longer than normal but you weren't one to complain. You held him close, breathing in the sweet, smoky scent of his cologne and committing it to memory.
"Band practice."
You sighed dramatically as you pulled away from him.
"I sing to pre-schoolers, I'm not as good as I used to be."
"You had a voice of an angel, that doesn't just go away."
You rolled your eyes at his compliment, but you felt warm inside.
"Just don't laugh at me, okay?"
"I promise," Marcus said, and you believed him.
-
Band practise was at Tom's childhood home, just like the good old days. He had moved into the house when his parent's moved back to their home country of Cuba when they retired five years ago. The white, spiky outer walls reminded you of the time when you fell up the steps and smacked your head against the sharp spikes. You involuntarily cringed.
The garage was nostalgic in every way. It still housed a legless, cracking leather couch (where you used to sit way too close to Marcus on), Tom's 90's television set sat above collections of dusty VHS tapes, bicycle frames decorated the walls and a drum kit was set up on the far side of the wall.
"Please don't tell me the drums have been here since the end of college?"
Tom laughed and shook his head at you.
"Jo helped me get them down from the attic."
You raised your eyebrows at Jo who blushed and quickly looked away in response. There had been this unspoken thing between her and Tom throughout college, just as there had always been something quietly charged between you and Marcus. Except you had your suspicions that Jo and Tom had had the courage to do something about their thing at some point.
Marcus entered through the garage door, rubbing his hands together with a childlike excitement on his face.
"I don't know if it's because I'm getting old but I've been looking forward to this all week."
You laughed and before you knew it you were behind a microphone stand singing late 90's/early 2000's indie anthems with your friends playing behind you.
"Should we play some of our old songs?" Jo asked innocently.
"No."
"Fuck no."
"Absolutely not."
You all burst into fits of giggles.
You thought back to those songs you used to write and sing. "They were all so..."
"Angsty."
You turned to Marcus who had spoken. You nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, what was that about? What was going on in our lives that we had to write like that?"
You were being lighthearted but the way Marcus flashed you a sad smile had you taken aback. What did Marcus write about? You wished you still had your lyric books, maybe that would give a clue as to what teenage Marcus Pike was thinking and feeling.
"Lunch break anyone?" Tom shook you out of your thoughts and you were quick to jump at the chance to change the subject.
-
Over the next few months you all met up for band practice whenever you were all free, which was rare. Eventually the meet ups became less about the music and more about getting to know what was going on in your friend's lives since college.
The summer evenings were getting cooler and you took the opportunity to light a fire pit in Tom's back garden and sit around with beers in hand and Jo's phone hooked up to a small speaker playing background music to your conversations.
"So, the FBI, " Jo took a sip of her beer, "you must have some stories."
Marcus preened under the attention, goofy smile stretched wide as he picked at the label on his beer bottle.
"Yeah, none that I can tell you I'm afraid."
You joined in on the mock 'boos' that echoed around the pit. Marcus laughed.
"I'm sorry! Anyway, I specialised in art, it's not that interesting."
"Any art heists?"
"No, Jo."
"You know I saw a documentary on Netflix about these Rembrandt's..."
Tom's voice seemed to fade away as you caught Marcus' eye over the flames of the fire. You felt content under his gaze, like you'd done this a million times, like you were teenagers again listening to Tom go on about something you weren't interested in, hearing Jo pacify him absentmindedly whilst you and Marcus spoke without speaking.
It reminded you how in sync you always were, and still seemed to be. It hurt that after all these years there was still something between you, but was it enough? Marcus had come back to his hometown but you still weren't sure why.
You smiled a wobbly smile and stood from your camping chair.
"I'm just going to get some water," you announced and made your way towards the kitchen.
You didn't put the light on, instead taking to stand in the darkest corner of the room to catch your breath. You closed your eyes and leant your head back against the wall, not seeing Marcus following you in.
"You okay?"
You jumped in surprise but didn't choose to reply to him just yet. You needed to gather your thoughts together, try and have this conversation without all the emotions you felt bubbling up inside of you spilling out in front of Marcus.
"Why did you come back?"
You opened your eyes to see Marcus leaning back against the kitchen island. He was too far away to touch, but close enough that you could smell the smoke from the fire on his clothes.
"It's home. It's where I'm most comfortable. It's where all my memories are."
Were you satisfied with that answer? It seemed too vague to be completely true, but Marcus was never a liar. He seemed to sense where your head's at and sighed.
"There was someone. I wanted it to be serious. We got engaged, I promised her the world, we were going to fly out to Washington together. But it turned out I wasn't who she wanted."
You don't know what got to you the most, the fact that someone rejected this wonderful man, or that he didn't sound all that sad about it.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be, it made me realise I didn't want any of it either. I do want all of that, but not with her."
He whispered the last bit but in the silence of the kitchen it was hard to miss. He wanted someone else. And at that realisation you think you felt your heart crack cleanly in two.
You didn't know how to respond without admitting how you've felt for over fifteen years. You leaned away from the corner you had tried to hide yourself in and came to stand in front of Marcus.
"It's her loss. You know that, right?"
Marcus' eyes sparkled in the setting sun, and you realised it was because they were watery. You moved forward quicker than you could think and engulfed him in your arms, holding him tight to your chest as he instantly wrapped his arms around you.
You had done this hundreds of times, but this time it felt special, and you couldn't put your finger on why.
-
Your morning class hadn't even begun when your phone rang in your bag. Glancing at the bright red clock on the wall you had five minutes before the first bell. You frowned, trying to find your phone amongst the mess of tissues, pens and bandaids that had fallen out of their packaging before you saw Marcus' name flashing on the screen.
"Hello?"
"Hey, I'm sorry it's so early, I'm just getting into work. I was wondering if you were free tonight?"
You felt your heart jackhammer in your chest and you inwardly cursed at the way Marcus' question had sounded. Like a date. You rolled your eyes at your nonsense.
"I should be free. Why?"
"I wanted to go back to the diner if you're up for it? We didn't order the Choc'o'Shock shake, wanted to see if it tastes exactly like it used to."
You smiled at the thought of sharing a shake like you used to, and found yourself agreeing.
"Sounds good. Meet you there at seven?"
"Seven's great."
You ended the call just as the bell rang. You reminded yourself that you were just two friends, catching up like you have been for months. And you wouldn't let yourself get your hopes up. Because now that you had Marcus back in your life, you wanted to keep it that way. And you weren't going to ruin it by telling him you loved him when he didn't love you back.
-
You got there ten minutes early so you took a seat at yours and Marcus' favored booth and waited. There was hardly anyone in the diner, a couple of families dotted about, two teenagers on a date giggling over milkshakes. It made you smile and hope that things turned out better for them than it did for you and Marcus.
The bell over the door chimed and in walked Marcus, freshly shaved, hair perfectly ruffled. He wore a smart jacket over a casual shirt and jeans. It made you feel a little underdressed, should you have dressed up?
He spotted you, long legs striding over with a purpose before taking the seat across from you, out of breath and cheeks tinged pink.
"I thought I was going to be late. Got a new assistant in the office but he's struggling to get to grips with the way I like things."
You smiled, trying to imagine the gangly, slightly awkward boy in your memories as someone professional, and bossy. You giggled.
"I've only just got here myself."
Marcus threaded his fingers together on top of the black and white checkered table.
"I wanted to talk to you actually, about the other night."
You frowned. Did he mean the night in the kitchen where you comforted him?
"You don't have to feel bad about it. It's normal to let out your emotions."
Marcus smiled gratefully. "I know that, I just want to be honest. I've always been a man who is upfront with the people I care about."
You nodded. Marcus was an honourable, straightforward man. You knew he'd never go behind your back and say something, he was completely trustworthy in that sense. In every sense. He was just a good guy.
"I didn't have to come back here this year. I had choices but after everything that had happened, I realised some things."
You mirrored his posture, hands on the table an inch away from his and gave him your full attention. Despite feeling sick to your stomach about what he was going to say next, you knew he needed you to listen, so you did.
"D'you remember the time I got my drivers license, and I took you for a ride in my dad's old pick up truck?"
"Of course. I warned you you should have driven something smaller so soon after your test."
"Yeah but I was trying to show off and I ended up getting it stuck in mud and I had to call my dad out to free us."
You chuckled at the memory. Marcus had been so embarrassed and you'd calmed him down by holding his shaky hand and plying him with copious amounts of gum to chew on to distract him.
"And when I got my letter to say I'd been accepted into the FBI training program, you were there when I opened it. And when we shared our first sip of alcohol at thirteen, and you got me my first VHS that taught me how to play bass, you remember that?"
"I remember it all, but I don't understand where you're going with this." You weren't opposed to this trip down memory lane, but it was bringing back all these moments in your life that just reminded you that you'd always loved him.
"If I made a movie of my life, all the important parts would have you in them. All the parts that make up the man I am today are filled with you. I never want you out of my life again."
You swallowed around the lump in your throat. You grabbed a paper napkin and quickly patted at the tears falling down your cheeks as you prepared to ask the question that may change your life forever.
"What are you saying, Marcus?"
"I love you."
You let out a shaky breath. Marcus gently took your hands in his.
"I think I always have, but I know for sure I do now. And these past months have confirmed everything. I love you."
"I've loved you since the day I met you. When I grazed my knees in the park by your house and you heard me crying from your garden. And you ran over and pulled me up to my feet and played with me."
Marcus laughed loudly, disturbing the teenagers a few booths over who looked annoyed in your direction. You couldn't care less.
"I remember. My mom told me off for playing with a strange girl but we were inseparable after that."
"We've wasted so much time," you whispered sadly.
"No. How have we? We've spent most of our life together, building memories, having the time of our lives. We've been apart for a bit but has it felt like it?"
You thought about it and realised Marcus was right. You've gotten back into the rhythm of your friendship. It's not once been awkward. Since your last diner date it's like you had never been apart.
"I suppose it hasn't."
"So," Marcus began, clearing his throat and flashing you a cheeky smile, "do we count this as the first date or...?"
You let out a shuddery laugh. "Marcus, we've been here a hundred times."
"I know but, only as friends."
"Were we ever really just friends? We were in this weird, middle-ground where everyone knew we were into each other but we never went further than a kiss on the cheek."
"Ah! There was that one time."
You frowned and crossed your arms. "What are you talking about?"
"Christmas break during the first year of college, I turned too much when you leaned in for a kiss on the cheek and we ended up kissing on the lips."
You laughed, a full belly laugh that had Marcus gently shushing you, though he couldn't contain his chuckling either.
"I completely forgot!"
"That breaks my heart," Marcus said with a wink.
You eventually ordered your Choc'o'Shock shake, sharing it like you used to. Except this time everything was on the table. Your feelings were out in the open, you were happier than you'd ever been and there was hope for you and Marcus to go forward together.
“Would you like a redo on that kiss?” Marcus asked on the steps outside the diner.
You pretended to think about it before taking hold of the lapels of his jackets. “I’d like that very much.”

The tension during the rest of rehearsal was real. No one really knew what to say, so they just kept themselves busy with the music they were making together. Today might just be the very last time they’d be able to do this with Violet.
That same night, Violet had dreamt about a song. Something in the pit of her stomach told her it was Rose’s song, but she wasn’t certain anymore. It was a hazy dream. As though the connection she had with her universe was fading.
“Can’t believe I didn’t notice it wasn’t actually you,” Luke said when he and Violet were the first ones in Julie’s garage. He knew she was going to be early, so he had come early, too, as he wanted to have a chance to talk to her, alone.
He’d startled her ever so slightly as she was busying herself with the song she had written with the memory of the hazy dream in the back of her head. Though hearing his voice and seeing his gorgeous face and bright eyes immediately calmed her down.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you,” Violet replied softly whilst Luke took a seat next to her on the piano stool. A spot they’d found themselves in a lot of the time.
“It’s okay,” he said. “I understand it wasn’t easy to tell anyone. I probably wouldn’t have believed y–” A soft jolt went through Violet again, shutting him up straight away. “Sorry.”
Violet shot him a smile, telling him it was all good. She didn’t quite know what to say to him. Today was their last day together, she could sense it in the pit of her stomach. And there was so much she wanted to say before she went away for good. There was so much she wanted to tell him.
“Have you figured out how to get back yet?” he then asked solemnly. He didn’t want her to leave, he liked this version of Violet a lot better than the bitchy, sassy girl he’d had a crush on since Middle School but wasn’t reciprocated.
She softly nodded her head and showed him the song in her notebook. “I think it came to me in a dream, but I’m not sure anymore. My connection with the other universe seems to be getting weaker…”
“Make you believe again?” he asked, scanning the paper.
“Mmh,” she hummed. “I think because my unfinished business was getting the band back together, I made you guys believe in music again…” she trailed off because there was more to her theory, more than she wanted to say. More than she could say.
Luke let out an airy chuckle, “Well, you made me believe something else too.” His eyes landed on Violet with that sweet, tender smile plastered on his face. She had been wishing for Luke Patterson to look at her like that for years.
His eyes then flick down to the piano, that same smile playing on his lips. Violet could swear there was a slight blush coloring his cheeks. Then, as Violet felt her heart clench, Luke’s voice floated through the garage.
“When the sun goes down You're gonna need a flashlight You're gonna need a candle”
With a small smile on her lips, Violet responded.
“I think I can handle that”
Luke chuckled at this, looking back up at Violet.
“When you leave town I'm gonna buy you a calling card”
As the next words rolled off Violet’s lips, Luke felt his heart beat faster.
“'Cause I'm falling hard for you”
Violet let her eyes fall on the garage door, reminding herself of what was awaiting her. The two of them then bounced back and forth, responding to each other’s sentences.
“I go back today”
“And I will try to make my way”
“Out west to California”
“So we've had this summer”
“And we've got each other Perhaps even longer”
Luke suddenly got up from the stool, capturing Violet’s attention again. His voice sounded stronger, more powerful. So powerful, it sent shivers down Violet’s spine.
“When you're on your own And suddenly without me Will you forget about me?”
“I couldn't if I tried”
Luke grabbed Violet’s hands, pulling her up from the stool as well and guiding her towards the middle of the garage.
“When I'm all alone And I close my eyes”
“That's when I'll see your face again”
“And when you're gone You know that I'll be waiting when you're gone”
Violet pulled him closer, to make sure the message she wanted to convey came through to him.
“But you're here with me right now”
“We'll be working hard, but if we should drift apart”
Tears pooled Violet’s eyes, thinking about not seeing Luke anymore. Not this Luke.
“Lukas”
“Lemme take this moment just to say”
“No, no”
“You are gonna change the world someday”
“I'll be thinking of home”
She took a step closer towards him, their chest pressed together as their voices blended together into a gorgeous harmony.
“And I'll think of you every night At the same time”
Not being able to withhold himself anymore, Luke’s hands reached up to Violet’s cheeks, pulling her closer until their lips collided in a passionate, long-awaited kiss. The world seemed to spin around them as their lips moved in sync. Her hands had to grip at his shirt as she was afraid she’d fall if she didn’t.
As they came back up for air, Luke pressed his forehead against hers. Their voices floating through the garage once more in a soft mumble. They only had eyes for each other. As though they were the only people in the world.
“When the sun goes down When the sun goes down When the sun goes down”
The loud, ear-piercing squeals erupting from the garage doors caused the two of them to snap up out of their dream-like state. At the door stood all six of their friends. Alex and Bobby had their hands pressed against Reggie’s mouth while the girls were jumping up and down in excitement.
The leather jacket-clad boy pushed the hands of his friends off him, “FUCKING FINALLY!” he screamed out, flailing his arms in the air. “Pardon my French,” he then added, a little more subdued whilst straightening his jacket.
A blush spread across Violet’s cheeks. She hadn’t wanted to kiss him. She did. But she also didn’t. She was leaving today and she wasn’t going to see him again anytime soon. This kiss was going to haunt her for the rest of her life, knowing she wasn’t going to kiss him ever again.
“I found a way to get me back,” she then said, moving away from Luke and back to the piano where she had left the notebook with the song scribbled down in it. “I think – the dream was a bit hazy. But I do believe this was a song Rose wrote to get herself back.”
Julie perked up at this and made her way to Violet, who showed her the song. “My mom wrote this?” she asked in a whisper. Violet nodded. “Would you mind if I kept this? You know, after…?” She didn’t even have to finish that sentence for Violet to hum in assent.
“So, guide us through it,” Alex told her, climbing behind his drum kit.
She had to heave in a deep breath before she could start explaining the song. She started with the beat, then the rhythm, then the melody and then she went through the lyrics with the girls.
“How does this work then?” Flynn questioned after they had received the information. “You’re just gonna disappear and the Violet from this universe is just gonna appear?”
“I don’t know,” Violet sighed. “We’re gonna have to let the universe do its work. All we can do is try…”
“Can I… say something, before you go?” Julie asked solemnly. After receiving a nod from Violet, Julie continued. “I wanna say thank you… You brought me closer to my mom, in a way. You brought me and Carrie back together. You gave me the best summer ever, since my mother died last year. You made me believe in the power of music again. So, thank you, Violet.”
A teary smile etched its way to Violet’s face. She didn’t quite know what to say to that, so instead, she wrapped Julie up into a tight hug. “You are amazing, Julie Molina. Never stop shining,” she whispered before the two broke apart. The both of them had tears streaming down their faces.
The next person to wrap her up into a hug was Flynn. It was abrupt and Violet didn’t have enough time to register who had scooped her up, but the cotton candy perfume that wrapped her up was a dead giveaway. “Thanks for bringing my Julie back,” she whispered.
“Thanks for bringing me back,” Violet whispered back and then it was Carrie’s turn to hug. “Thanks for this crazy adventure, Care.”
“Thank you,” Carrie responded.
Then, Bobby, Reggie and Alex hugged Violet at the same time. “Thank you for bringing the band back,” Alex said before pressing a kiss to her hair. The boy had always towered over her, which she had loved. Especially when he hugged her. Because he’d always kiss the top of her head.
“You guys gonna continue as Sunset Curve again?” Violet asked when they pulled away.
“No,” Bobby replied. “We’re gonna go on as Violet Sunset. You’ve brought us back together, it’s only right we honor that.”
A wide smile broke on Violet’s face whilst tears rolled down her cheeks. “Take enough breaks from each other, yeah? And talk to each other when something’s bothering you. I don’t wanna be hearing you breaking up again, okay?”
The three boys nodded their heads, all three of them with tears pooling their eyes.
“We’re gonna miss you, Violet Dawson,” said Reggie, wiping his tears with the sleeve of his leather jacket. “A whole lot.
As the boys stepped aside, Luke moved over towards her. He was already crying, which had Violet crying even more. “You’re gonna change the world someday,” he whispered with a small chuckle while grabbing her hands. “Like you changed mine.”
“I’m gonna think of you every day, Luke Patterson. Don’t ever forget me, okay?”
He smiled, “I couldn’t if I tried,” he responded before dipping down and kissing her. The saltiness of their tears mingled with the passion and love in their lips. It was a bittersweet feeling. Kissing him. Saying goodbye to him.
“Shall we do this?” Luke then asked when the two pulled away again.
Violet gave him a nod before he pressed a kiss to her forehead and grabbed his guitar again. The others took their spots again, ready to start playing this song. They didn’t even know if it was going to work, but even if it didn’t, they had another great song they could add to their setlist for the next gig.
Violet counted the girls in as the first part would be a capella. Their voices blended together perfectly, bouncing off these garage walls for the very last time.
“Ah ah ah Ah ah ah Ah ah ah I'll make you believe again”
The boys then chimed in on their instruments whilst Julie took the first verse and made it hers.
“Down on your knees She made you feel like you're worthless You just don't deserve this, no no How does it feel? To think that you gave all you could Wish you did but you would”
Carrie then took the pre-chorus for her account while Violet prepared herself for the chorus by wiping underneath her eyes. She probably looked like a raccoon by now, but she wasn’t sure if she cared.
“I'll be the ears you talk to The doors you walk through The arms to hold on to You're safe with me”
Flynn and Violet joined in with Carrie and Julie on the chorus. While Julie interacted with Reggie and Flynn with Bobby, Violet focused on the space ahead of her. She couldn’t look at Luke. Not right now. It would hurt too much.
“Your hearts been stolen Eyes weren't open Trust is broken But I'll make you believe again Make you stronger So we'll live longer You've lost your faith in love But I'll make you believe again”
In a moment of weakness, she turned her head to her left, where Luke stood. His eyes flickered with both love and sadness. She finally grabbed the mic from its stand and turned towards him completely, singing the next verse.
“Where do you run? Who do you turn to, it burns you cause you though that she was the one She threw it away Left you with nothing but pain You won't feel love again”
Leaving this universe was going to burn. This was her place, these were her people. It made her realize that she had been born in the wrong universe. A universe where she felt out of place all her life. While this universe was one where she felt right. She felt great. She felt at home.
This wasn’t the right thing to do for her, but it was for the other Violet. They had to restore the balance. They had to switch back. There was no going back now.
A knock to his bedroom door caused Alex to startle a little. He was working on a song by himself, being inspired by Violet’s songwriting and felt the need to create something himself. And then the angel herself stood in his doorway.
“Am I interrupting something?” she asked with a smile.
Alex smiled. “No, not at all, come in!” He patted a spot on the bed as an invitation for her to sit down. “I’m working on a song,” he said proudly. “Would you mind checking it out and bestowing me with some of your wisdom?”
Violet smiled and leaned over, so she could read along with him.
Tell mе, am I broken? I can never lеave Biting on my tongue and Checking if it bleeds Oh, is it lost on me? All the things I believe Something like an omen I can never keep Moving on and on, so very bittersweet Is it lost on me? All the things I don't need
“This is amazing, Lex,” she whispered. “It’s raw, it’s real. Definitely has a ton of potential to become a big hit.”
The smile on Alex’s face was wide and bright and warm. “Thanks, but I don’t think it’s something we’re ever gonna be allowed to put on an album.”
Violet knew immediately what he meant. Their management was shit. Neither of them was allowed to come out, all four of them hiding in the shadows without ever being able to completely, unapologetically be themselves.
“You need a new manager,” Violet told him matter-of-factly.
Alex chuckled. “I don’t think –” he started his sentence, but Violet didn’t let him finish.
“No, Alex, I’m serious. I know you guys tried really hard to get a manager in the first place, but this isn’t what a manager should be like. You should be able to live your life the way you want to, with Willie. Being out and proud to the world because that’s who you are. And who you are is fierce and amazing and fantastic.”
A single tear rolled off Alex’s cheek. “I’m gonna miss you, Violet,” he whispered before wrapping his arms around the girl’s body. He buried his face in her neck whilst she rubbed soothing circles on his back and tried not to cry herself.
“I’m gonna miss you too, Alex,” she whispered back and then, “Promise me you’ll talk to the boys about finding a new manager? About coming out to your fans? About being the authentic you?”
The boy nodded his head while disentangling himself from the hug. “I promise. Thank you… For making me believe there’s still good in the world.”
Violet smiled at this. That was exactly what she needed to hear.
“Let’s get to the music room, yeah? Time for this bitch to get back home.” She proudly pointed at herself at the word ‘bitch’ before getting up and reaching out a hand towards Alex.
Intertwining their pinkies together, Alex and Violet made their way down to the basement where everyone else already was. A nervous flutter went through her stomach. She was going to have to say goodbye to this lot. The people she had come to love. The people that had become her best friends. Even more so than the people in her own universe.
“Hey guys,” Violet started, capturing everyone’s attention. They all looked at her with interest and solemn flickers in their eyes. Except Luke. He was scowling. She knew he hated her for having to leave. He hated her for lying to him. For keeping a secret. For making him fall in love with her and then disappearing. “Before I go… I just wanted to say thank you for making me feel at home here. Especially you girls, I know I said some things that I didn’t mean and that it wasn’t easy for you to believe me. So, thank you for making this adventure a little more bearable.”
“Thank you for giving us the best summer ever,” Julie replied before leaping up towards Violet and wrapping her up into a hug. Carrie and Flynn followed her example, throwing themselves into the group hug together.
Giggles filled the space while tears rolled down their faces. These girls had found a special place in Violet’s heart and she was going to miss them even though they were back home, too. It wouldn’t be the same.
Violet carefully pushed the girls off her, facing the boys now. “I just wanna say one thing to you boys: get a new management team. Stay true to yourself. Be yourself. Keep writing absolute tunes and travel the world. If I ever do get back here, make sure you’re on your world tour, yeah?”
The boys chuckled and even Luke let out a small huff.
“We’re gonna miss you, Vi,” Reggie stated and opened his arms for her to walk into. He wrapped her up into a hug, then took a step aside for Bobby and Alex to do the same. When they broke apart, the boys stepped aside and Luke appeared in front of her.
Her heart skipped a beat upon seeing him. He still looked angry. He didn’t even look at her. This wasn’t how she wanted to say goodbye to him. Not with him being mad at her.
“Luke,” she started softly. This was the other’s cue to move to the other side of the rehearsal space, just so the two could have some sort of privacy. “I’m sorry for not telling you sooner. I’m sorry for all the hurt I caused. I’m sorry for–” Luke swallowed her last words by pressing his lips to hers.
It was sudden and Violet wasn’t sure what was happening at first until his arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer. She melted into the kiss. She melted in his arms. She completely melted into him.
All the sexual tension, the jealousy, the daydreaming about him,... it all washed away with one kiss.
“I had to do this once more before you left,” he whispered, pressing his forehead to hers. “I know you can’t stay, but please, come back when you can?” he asked but his voice could barely carry. These were words just for Violet. No one else should be hearing them.
“I’ll try,” she whispered back and wiped the single tear off his cheek before it could fall.
There was so much more they wanted to say to one another, but no words could ever possibly describe it. So instead, Luke wrapped Violet up into a hug. Her arms snaked around his waist, her face buried in his neck as did his in hers. She inhaled his scent one last time. He pressed his lips in her neck to taste her one last time.
Soon enough, the others engulfed the couple into a group hug. All of them were crying. All of them felt the pain and sadness of a goodbye. This was the hardest goodbye they ever had to endure. Harder than saying goodbye to family before heading off on tour.
This was goodbye forever.
“Okay, let’s do this,” Violet whispered, disentangling herself from her friends.
Wiping at their eyes, everyone took their spot and their instruments. Violet guided them through the song a few times. Explaining the chords and notes. Explaining which verse was whose. All while her chest hurt and she felt like crying even more.
This was the last time they were ever going to sing together. The last song as a band. The last song ever. She didn’t want it to end, but as they went through verses and choruses, the end came nearer and nearer.
“I'll be the ears you talk to The doors you walk through The arms to hold on to You're save with me”
Violet felt a tingle in her toes. Would this be the feeling she felt before zapping back to her universe?
“Your hearts been stolen Eyes weren't open Trust is broken But I'll make you believe again Make you stronger So we'll live longer You've lost your faith in love But I'll make you believe again”
The boys slowed down with the instruments as Violet’s voice chimed through the amps. The girls quickly joined into a beautiful harmony that sent shivers down everyone’s spine.
“I'll give you the strength that you need to forget I'll be the last thing that you would regret Make you believe in love again”
The tingling feeling in her toes rose up to her legs, then her stomach to eventually nestle in her chest. It felt as though Violet was floating through the air and she had to shut her eyes. She was scared that if she kept them open, everything would disappear in front of her.
“Ah ah ah Ah ah ah I'll make you believe again”
“Oh oh oh Oh oh oh”
“I'll make you believe”
The tingle in her body disappeared and when Violet opened her eyes again, she wasn’t in Julie’s garage anymore. She was in a spacious room, surrounded by the people she knew best; Flynn, Julie, Carrie. Even the Sunset Curve boys were there. The actual Sunset Curve boys. She knew she was back. Luke wasn’t wearing his comfort flannel anymore and wore a sleeveless shirt instead with the orange beanie she had come to love.
“Oh oh oh Oh oh oh I'll make you believe again”
The confused looks on their faces told her they weren’t sure if it was really her or her parallel self. They exchanged glances with one another, trying to figure all of it out.
“Your hearts been stolen Eyes weren't open Trust is broken But I'll make you believe again Make you stronger So we'll live longer You've lost your faith in love But I'll make you believe again”
“Oh oh oh Oh oh oh I'll make you believe”
“Oh oh oh Oh oh oh I'll make you believe”
The boys quit playing their instruments, so it was just the girls’ voices that carried through the room. The four were facing each other and judging from the way Violet was looking at them with that proud, ‘I missed you’ smile on her face, they were pretty certain it was her.
“Ah ah ah Ah ah ah I'll make you believe again”
Violet lowered her microphone and panted from exhaustion. “Gosh, I’ve missed singing with you.”
“It’s really you?” Carrie asked. “Our Violet?”
“Yeah,” Violet whispered. “It’s me, it worked. It actually worked.” She was a little surprised herself.
“Welcome home, Violet,” said Alex from behind his drum kit.
Home. She was home.

Ray Molina: Best Dad Ever
For the March 11th explosion of content thing. Just Violet being a fantom and doing my part for this!
Tw: mentioned death, mentioned abusive parents, mentioned panic attack.
So the boys can be seen and heard when directly touching Julie after the whole post-Orpheum glowy hug thing but Ray doesn’t know that just yet.
What he does know is that Julie’s mental health took a rapid turn for the better for seemingly no reason and then a couple weeks later he found out she joined a band without telling him.
He’s not stupid. He knows that’s probably because of the band, though he is a bit confused as to how she even met them.
He kinda figures it’s a kids and your internet tricks thing but there’s some flaws to this theory.
1) He asks Flynn what she knows about the boys only... it seems like she doesn’t know much of anything. That’s weird because he knows Julie tells her practically everything.
2) The boys have American accents despite Julie claiming they’re from Sweden.
3) Carlos is a terrible liar and on the rare occasion Julie actually talks about the boys he gets this weirdly conspiratorial look.
So anyway Ray doesn’t really believe it’s as simple as ‘I met these 3 Swedish boys on the internet’ but he trusts his daughter’s judgement and he leaves it alone.
Anyway he has other things to focus on.
Such as how Ray has literally never been able to keep track of his keys/phone/hats/camera parts/stuff and now it seems to just pop up whenever he’s looking for it.
Also he keeps feeling like there’s someone with him around the house more and more.
Like not a malicious presence like Victoria fears, and definitely not like Rose is around watching him, but like someone is there.
Sometimes it feels like there’s more than one presence around. None of them familiar but all of them friendly.
Oddly enough, whatever or whoever it is feels almost like Julie or Carlos. Young and excitable and like a verse of a happy song. He’s not sure why they’re around, but they definitely don’t feel dangerous, so Ray doesn’t feel threatened.
But some days a better comparison might be to Trevor back when Rose first introduced him. Raw and fragile and very, very sad.
Ray tries to put on happy music or a Disney cartoon or something on those days and he doesn’t quite know why or how but the energy usually gets more positive when he does that.
Anyway after a while of this (after the Orpheum performance) he starts noticing weird things that Carlos and Julie do now.
Carlos will just carry around a small whiteboard and a couple pens and he erases it whenever Ray comes into the room but before he does it almost looks like there’s two, three, or even four sets of handwriting on there.
And he walks in on Julie talking to herself like. All the time.
Carlos doesn’t ask for help on his math homework anymore. Julie makes this insanely good chicken recipe for dinner once and then clearly panics and lies when asked where she got it. Flynn makes a set of rainbow friendship bracelets one day while she’s hanging out at the Molina house but he doesn’t see Julie wearing the match to the one she keeps.
Plus Carrie starts hanging out at their house again?? Out of the blue?? And none of the girls have a good explanation for how they made up??
Then later Nick Danforth-Evans (who Julie used to talk about having a crush on but hasn’t in a while) starts hanging around too and the kid seems... well, Ray doesn’t want to throw the word ‘traumatized’ around, but he’s jumpy and guarded in a way that can only be described as a little bit traumatized.
So all 5 kids are clearly keeping some secret and Ray’s getting suspicious and worried.
He sits them down and asks what’s going on. Like is one of them having problems at home, or..?
The kids, simultaneously:
Julie: no, we’re just all in a play together!
Carlos: we’re fine we’re just ghost hunting!
Flynn: we’re exhibiting bisexual-pansexual-lesbian solidarity!
Carrie: Julie and the Phantoms and Dirty Candi are doing a collaboration album!
Nick: we all joined jazz band??
Ray’s calling bullshit at this point.
Then Julie and Nick both look up directly at the same spot, somewhere a couple feet above the arm of the couch, which is seemingly just empty air.
Whatever it is, it doesn’t seem like the other kids can see it but they all seem to be waiting for something and Ray is wondering if they’re sharing a hallucination??? Are they all on drugs??? Should he be worried???
Then Julie says to meet them in the studio in 30 minutes. Flynn, Carrie, and Nick go home to give the Molina family some alone time.
*cue music performance where Ray is introduced to the boys*
So anyway Julie and Carlos (with the help of the ghosts whenever one of them has something to say and grabs Julie’s hand) give him a clearly-sugarcoated version of the last few months.
Ghosts of Trevor’s dead bandmates help Julie reconnect with music, they form a band, they meet another ghost, other ghost accidentally gets them involved with evil magician ghost, Nick got possessed, Carrie figured it out and helped plot to get him un-possessed, evil magician ghost is still out there and they’re sticking together so he can’t get any of them in the future.
Despite how they say it like it’s no big deal, Ray now understands why the kids have been acting so weird because all these things sound scary and painful.
Also the more he thinks about it, the more he worries about the fact that he has three 17-year-old boys sleeping in his garage who died terribly of food poisoning.
They are children and they died incredibly painfully and then almost got enslaved and/or erased from existence.
Then one day Ray’s feeling one of those presences around the house again and he realizes it’s probably one of Julie’s ghost boys.
Ray: who’s there?
Whoever it is freaks out and leaves, and Ray takes notes for next time.
The next time he feels someone in the room, he has a notepad ready and he writes down “Luke, Alex, or Reggie?” from what he remembers from Julie’s introductions.
Immediately, there’s a spike of anxiety in the room.
Ray: it’s okay. You can stay and we don’t have to talk if you don’t want to. I’d like to know who it is I’m not talking to though.
There’s a few seconds of hesitation, and then the pen picks itself up and the name “Reggie” gets circled.
Ray: the bassist with the flannels, right?
Yeah, written in a teenage boy’s messy scrawl.
Ray: okay, do you want to watch a movie?
More hesitation, and Ray’s not sure what that’s about but he’s starting to suspect with the amount of fear still in the room, and there’s a good 20 seconds where Reggie doesn’t respond before I don’t know.
Ray: Moana or Tangled? Moana.
After that, he takes a page out of Carlos’s book and gets a small whiteboard with 3 pens that stick to it magnetically. Red for Reggie, blue for Luke, and pink for Alex.
Reggie has written conversations with him most, but Luke does sometimes too and Alex does least often but he’ll still request a movie occasionally.
All of them are wary around him and Ray doesn’t quite know what to do to earn their trust. But he asks questions about their preferences on things. He says they did good on their latest show. He remembers which movies are their favorites and introduces them to music he thinks are their styles.
Luke is a big fan of Fall Out Boy and Reggie fucking loves Taylor Swift.
Alex is less consistent but occasionally Ray will play a song and he’ll write something like This is a cool song.
He starts to be able to tell which energy is which even before they write who it is right around the time the boys start to be visible for longer and longer after playing.
They play a really good show and stay visible for like 2 full days and that’s the first (but not the last) time Ray really gets to get to know them.
He starts noticing after really good shows like that one how even more now that they can be seen, they’re all a little... off from how Nick and Carrie and Flynn act around him.
With Luke it’s mostly because he’s trying so hard to impress because *gasp* he and Julie are a thing but there’s still a little bit of tension that seems like it comes from something deeper than just being nervous around his girlfriend’s dad.
With Reggie it’s subtle caution. Like he’s happy to be hanging out with Ray but he’s constantly ready for something to go wrong. There’s a catch in his smile, a hesitation before he states an opinion, a practiced carefulness where he changes the subject at any sign of even mild frustration.
But with Alex... it’s mostly just avoidance. Like if he poofs in while visible and it just so happens that no one else is there, he’ll find an excuse to leave.
And Ray lets him, of course. He doesn’t want the kid to feel trapped. But all of the boys’ behavior bothers him.
On the rare occasion they spend more than 2 seconds together Alex is really quiet. He won’t admit if Ray guessed wrong about a song and he doesn’t like it even though his body language makes it clear he’s not vibing with it. Actually, his body language pretty much just spells I am very uncomfortable in every situation where Julie or Carlos went to the bathroom or someone went to grab a snack and they’re alone even for 5 minutes while he’s visible.
Ray’s not stupid. He knows three 17-year-olds don’t end up getting their instruments left to their only living bandmate’s new best friend’s family by having good relationships with their own families.
He doesn’t exactly want to bring it up, but he kind of knows.
Then one day he’s sitting with all 3 boys watching a movie while he fixes something on his camera and Julie and Carlos are at school and he messes up a little part that means he has to start over (don’t @ me I know nothing about cameras) and swears out of frustration louder than he meant to.
He reaches for the screwdriver on the coffee table and
And Reggie and Alex both flinch.
Ray hadn’t even noticed they were tracking his movements, but while Luke seems to just have moved his focus from the TV to his friends in concern, Alex and Reggie both look too tense to play it off.
He figures its as good a time as any to have a chat cause these boys aren’t his sons but they don’t have anyone else acting as a parent figure to them and he feels the need to take care of them. He pauses the movie.
Ray: Can we have a talk? About you boy’s families?
Naturally Luke jumps in to try to distract him immediately, telling a story about his dad taking him fishing once, but he stops when Ray asks him to stop.
Ray: That’s not what I’m talking about and I think you all know it.
The boys are all still silent. Luke looks 500% ready to deflect again. Reggie and Alex look more like they’re expecting to get yelled at or worse.
Ray: I just want to help. I’ll drop it if you want me to but I want you to know that I would never do something to hurt any of you intentionally. You can talk to me about anything if you need to.
He means to make it an option of ‘you can talk but you don’t have to if you don’t want to,’ but the boys clearly don’t take it as such with how Luke starts talking immediately.
Luke: I ran away when I was 17. My mom and dad didn’t want me to stay in Sunset Curve, I think they thought it was going to get me into drugs or something.
They have a short talk about parents having good intentions not equalling them being right to push Luke so hard they pushed him away and it’s okay to feel hurt by that and then press play on the movie again and Ray thinks he sees all 3 boys relax somewhat during that.
A couple weeks later Reggie comes in visible and hesitantly asks about watching this series he saw when Carlos was scrolling through Netflix once.
Mid-episode he blurts out
Reggie: I don’t want to look for my parents and I feel weird about that.
He rambles for a while about knowing he was lucky that his family had money and his mom and dad told him they loved him and stuff but also he remembers so many fights between them where he felt caught in the middle and it never ended well if he chose a side but there was no way to win because they’d both turn on him if he didn’t so it was just this constant balancing act to try to prevent fights in the first place.
Reggie: I felt like I was walking on a tightrope. Like, all the time. I tried so hard to keep them from getting mad at each other or at me. Only it never worked and it was always a question of when they were going to snap next and it was confusing cause one day we’d go to the zoo and everything would be fine and the next they’d yell at me and send me to bed without food.
He feels guilty for not wanting to put in the effort to find them because he’s pretty sure on some level they did love him but he doesn’t want to see them again.
And he doesn’t want to know if they even miss him at all because when he got older and the fighting got too intense he would sneak off to Luke’s or Bobby’s and no matter if he stayed away for an hour or a couple days they never seemed to notice he was gone.
Ray listens and a lot of things about Reggie start to make sense. How he’s so careful not to catch him in a bad mood. How he shuts down whenever anyone raises their voice. How he helps out so much in an effort to stay on Ray’s good side.
It’s a day and a half after the latest show so they can’t really hug but Ray does what he can to provide comfort and validate his feelings anyway because damn Reggie is a good kid and he didn’t deserve that.
Reggie and Luke get more comfortable with coming to him for meaningful chats, or even just to vent about whatever’s going on lately.
Eventually they seem to feel almost as comfortable with him as Julie and Carlos do so it kinda becomes a routine.
Like Julie will ask for cuddles when she’s sad about missing Rose or she’ll walk in and vent about Carrie and Flynn being so obvious about liking each other but somehow not realizing it’s mutual and she and Nick are 3rd wheeling and going insane.
Carlos will excitedly ramble about his latest baseball practice shenanigans for an hour but also sometimes ask for someone to watch old home movies or listen to old CDs from Rose and the Petal Pushers with him.
And that’s normal. That’s been Ray’s life since his kids started talking. But the thing is that it’s just as normal when
When Luke tells how he’s still angry about his music getting stolen because it feels like a part of him was taken away and he worked hard on those songs. Also one day he very shyly admits
Luke: I like Julie a lot.
Ray: I know, kiddo.
Luke: You’re not mad?
Ray: As long as you two make each other happy, no. I’m happy for you.
And it’s just as normal when Reggie talks about missing his little cousin Kelsi and wondering where she ended up only for them to look her up and find out she’s a major Broadway writer/director now oh my god— and also
Reggie: I think I like boys. Like boys are cute. But I know I’m not gay because girls are cute too and ugh it’s confusing it’s probably nothing I guess everybody goes through this.
Ray: Have you ever thought you might be bisexual?
Reggie: Bi-what-now?
Ray, already digging out his old flannels that he would have passed down to Julie except they’re too big for her: It’s okay to like both, kiddo.
All this is great of course. It’s great how Reggie and Luke aren’t afraid anymore and they feel validated and seen and listened to.
But months have passed and Ray notices how Alex remains separate. He still avoids Ray when he can and stays quiet and cautious when he can’t.
Like Ray still senses Alex around him sometimes but never right after a show when he’s visible. He doesn’t come to him with problems. He’ll stay and listen when Ray plays a song he thinks he’d like, but he still seems so cautious and Ray doesn’t know how to help.
He asks Luke one day while he’s introducing him to a Wicked bootleg if he’s done something specific to scare Alex away.
Luke gets this really dark look on his face and he just
Luke: Let’s just say that my parents didn’t do everything perfectly, but they’re saints compared to Alex’s.
Ray decides to drop it, but Luke wants to reassure him.
Luke: You haven’t done anything wrong. He’s just not very comfortable around most adults in general. It’s one thing when we’re invisible, but...
Ray: I just wish I could help.
Luke: You do help. But it took a while for Alex to trust me.
The conversation ends there because Luke starts getting really into Defying Gravity.
But then that night Julie comes in with a kind of out of character movie request so Ray thinks Luke talked to her.
Because Julie does not like most romcoms that aren’t musicals. She gets bored. But she requests Love, Simon anyway.
Ray kind of sees what she’s trying to do there because now that he’s thinking about it the boys haven’t really seen many things with queer rep. Especially not queer main characters.
And nobody’s really told him that Alex is gay but cmon he’s an elder bi. He has accurate gaydar so he can support his queer ducklings.
Despite how the boys all know being gay is more socially acceptable now (they found out about Nick’s dads and the girls gave them the ‘gay marriage is legal now’ talk) they still seem kind of baffled by how there’s an entire romcom centered around a gay boy and it did well.
From there Ray tries to find more movies and tv shows with canon queer representation.
And he keeps giving Alex space but also trying his best to show him that he’s not like his parents.
For a long time nothing changes beyond Luke and Reggie getting increasingly comfortable with him.
Well that’s not completely true actually cause Reggie starts tagging along to photo shoots and becomes Ray’s unofficial mostly invisible assistant.
Then the band plays an amazing show and the boys stay visible for a full week.
Around the middle of that week, Ray goes out to the garage to find Reggie and see if he wants to come on a photo shoot.
Reggie isn’t out there but Alex is.
And he’s crying. Hard.
He looks like he’s going to poof out when he sees Ray there but Ray’s already 100% ready to do exactly what he always does when he walks in on Julie or Carlos crying.
Ray: Alex. Hey, buddy, it’s okay. I’m here. It’s going to be okay.
Alex freezes and it breaks Ray’s heart how that kind of concern is clearly not what he’s expecting.
Ray: Are you okay with being touched?
Alex looks kind of like he’s in shock but he nods.
He clearly doesn’t really know what to do with it but he kind of melts into it when Ray hugs him and he just sobs on his shoulder.
When he’s stopped crying enough he starts rambling about how he’s been looking everywhere but he can’t find Willie.
At that point he’s basically having a panic attack so finding out what’s wrong takes a backseat compared to calming him down and Ray knows how to do that because he and Rose used to do that for Trevor all the time.
Ray: Alex, breathe. In for 4 counts, hold for 7, out for 8. Breathe with me.
It takes a couple minutes until Alex has calmed down enough, but once he does, Ray asks what’s wrong and what’s happening with Willie.
He only vaguely knows who Willie is from what he’s been told by the other kids but he knows he’s important to Alex.
So Alex takes a deep breath and explains that Caleb confronted him and basically said the boys had to join his house band or he would make sure he’d never see Willie again. And he doesn’t want to ask his family to sacrifice themselves for him but he doesn’t want to lose the boy he loves either.
Ray wants to throw hands but from what the kids have told him about Caleb, he has a better idea.
Ray: Here’s what we’re gonna do, buddy. Reggie said Caleb has this super catchy number, The Other Side of Hollywood?
Alex: Yeah?
Ray: How quickly do you think Luke and Julie could come up with an arrangement for you four to cover that and how desperate do you think Covington would be to make sure a video of that never gets published without crediting him?
Alex: :o
Spoiler alert: Julie and Luke, in collaboration with Carrie, can come up with an arrangement very quickly.
They do a private performance of it and film it and basically blackmail Caleb into letting Willie go.
Willie has an empty house that used to be his parents’ that he still considers his so he mostly crashes there if he needs to. Also he loves skating around so much that he never stays in one place for very long.
Julie can see him but she can’t make him visible so it’s a little odd but Ray gets an orange pen for him for the whiteboard and he finds skateboarding videos and stuff for when he visits.
They eventually figure out that he can be part of the magic by adding him to the band so they give him a tambourine and yay now Willie can be seen but that’s later.
The biggest immediate change to come out of all this is Alex.
He’s not afraid of Ray anymore for the most part (healing isn’t linear and he can’t help a few bad days) and he starts actually talking to him. Not about serious stuff but he’s talking. Mostly just rambling about how Willie makes him feel or how Luke and Reggie have been being annoying lately.
Then one day he comes in really nervous and says something about Reggie saying he talked to Ray about his parents.
And Ray confirms it and asks if there’s anything Alex needs to tell him.
Alex sits down and clearly he’s been holding this in for a long time and he just unloads how he came out to his parents because his youngest sister found his diary and he was scared she’d tell them. They didn’t react well and when he cried out of fear and frustration his father... gave him something to cry about.
His father did that a few more times, trying to ‘make him man up,’ and Alex never told his bandmates but he always knew they could see the bruises and that was why Bobby made it so clear his garage was open and his house was a safe place to run.
But Alex didn’t no matter how bad things got because he guessed some small part of him thought he deserved it but mostly it was about how his oldest sister dropped out of college and ghosted the family and Alex was the next-oldest so he felt responsible for protecting his younger sisters even if they both had learned behaviors from their parents and hated him.
Then that summer he found out his parents were planning on sending him away to some Christian camp where they’d ‘fix’ him.
Alex made it clear that he wouldn’t go and if they tried to make him he’d run away, but their ultimatum was that he couldn’t live under their roof if he was gay.
So he didn’t. And it was a situation somewhere between getting kicked out and running away, but he packed a bag and never went back.
He ran to Bobby’s house, he wrote a whole bunch of angry songs, and he tried not to think too much about how he understood why his older sister left and how he was doing the exact same thing to his younger sisters.
By the time he’s done explaining everything Ray’s trying not to cry but Alex is definitely already crying mostly out of anger.
Alex: I hated them all. I hated Molly for leaving me and I hated my mom for turning my little sisters against me and I hated my dad for hurting me and I even hated Anna and Josie for not standing by me and I just hated them all so much. I still do. And it is so stupid that I feel guilty for that because they were terrible to me and I was 16 and I didn’t deserve that but I do feel guilty for it because they’re my family and I hate them.
Ray doesn’t have much to say because damn this is heavy stuff but he assures him that after what he went through he has a right to hate his blood family.
Alex tells him awkwardly when he’s calmed down a bit that Luke is the only other person he’s ever told about all this, because after he ran away they dated for a few months before figuring out that they were better as friends.
Reggie and Bobby guessed parts of it and Julie probably has too but none of them have asked and Alex thinks he might tell Reggie and Julie someday if it ever comes up but he never did end up telling Bobby.
Ray assures him that he won’t tell anyone and also that he would never do that. He would never do anything to hurt Alex or the others on purpose.
He makes a silent promise that no one will ever hurt one of his kids like that again and if Caleb or anyone else ever tries, they will regret it.
But anyway on to happier matters.
Willie visits a lot and he’s a little skittish around Ray but he loosens up after he jokingly mentions one time that Willie and Alex are like the beginning of the Sk8ter Boy song.
Alex and Ray might be Denim Jacket Buddies but once Ray digs his old leather jacket out of the closet he becomes Leather Jacket Buddies with Reggie.
You’d think he has to tell Carlos and Reggie off the most for breaking things but he doesn’t. It’s Carlos and Luke.
Also Ray doesn’t consider himself an overprotective dad but Julie and Luke are not allowed to be alone in a room with the door closed.
Neither are Alex and Willie technically but it’s harder to enforce it when they’re both ghosts.
Lmao all the kids follow the rules anyway because they love Ray and he’s not being unreasonable.
He helps Julie in her plot to get Carrie and Flynn together and also he helps Nick plan how to make a move on that cute boy on his lacrosse team.
Because Nick loves his dads but they’re disaster gays. Neither of those men can properly flirt. They fell in love because of a baseball rivalry and Nick doesn’t trust their advice.
Pride month rolls around and Julie makes sure to book a big gig the day before the parade so the boys will be visible and tangible.
Trevor’s on tour and can’t get away and Flynn’s parents are working and Nick’s are busy too so Ray finds himself escorting this whole little gaggle of various queer ducklings to pride.
Carlos isn’t quite sure what he is yet so he’s just got a rainbow flag painted on his cheek and a shirt that says I love my bi sister on it.
Julie’s all decked out in the bi colors, complete with ribbons braided into her hair and a flag to use as a cape. She made the tutu herself and it took her hours but it turned out really good.
Luke’s got a tank top with the pan colors and a trans flag as a cape and also yknow face paint of course.
Reggie browsed thrift shops everywhere until he found a flannel in the bi colors and he’s got that along with pink purple and blue laces in his combat boots and what Ray is really hoping is temporary dye and not spray paint in his hair.
Alex has a rainbow shirt that matches Willie’s and matching bracelets with Flynn. Also he painted rainbow hearts on his cheeks and put a lot of effort into them and they look really symmetrical.
Willie’s of course matching shirts with Alex and also he has sparkly rainbow socks and a flag to use as a cape.
Carrie’s got a whole ensemble in the lesbian colors complete with a pride wig and also matching necklaces with Flynn.
Flynn’s matching colors with Carrie but more in her style with of course matching jewelry with the people closest to her. She’s got friendship bracelets corresponding to Alex and Julie.
Nick’s got a pan tshirt and a fedora with a ribbon in pink yellow and blue plus face paint cause all of them have face paint. Nothing too crazy.
Meanwhile Ray’s got a bi bandanna and one of those shirts that’s like Free Dad Hugs.
Plus everyone did each other’s nails with varying degrees of success the night before and Julie did Ray’s so they turned out good.
Nick’s lacrosse buddies and the rest of Dirty Candi are around somewhere but they didn’t ride in the same car so they’re not that relevant.
They party. Celebrate being alive. Idk I’ve never gotten to go to pride.
And afterwards they all go back to the Molina house and the couch isn’t really big enough for all of them but it’s okay it’s not like they know how to sit correctly anyway.
They all kind of pile together and cuddle and watch movies until Flynn and Nick’s parents can come pick them up.
And Ray just looks around and realizes that
Sure only 2 of them are his biologically
And 3 of the others have good parent(s) who are actively a part of their lives
The remaining 4 are technically dead
But he has 9 children and he’s totally fine with that.
Cause he’s Ray Molina: best dad ever.
Victoria’s head is going to explode when she finds out that not only is the Molina house really haunted, but he’s adopted the ghosts.

earth-shattering, red roses
penelope garcia x gender neutral!reader
a/n: here is my very hesitant, very obscure, and very late submission for @veraiconcos fic challenge. is there a market for penelope x reader fics? dunno, but there should be. penelope rights.
tagging sweet @gaystevie
content warnings: none - this is half fluff, half angst :)
word count: 1842
in which you’re penelope’s online friend and she develops a crush on you.
“and then i just,” penelope pauses to hold up a pair of campy earrings to the camera, “pick out some earrings, and i’m good to go!” after putting the jewelry on, she turns her face to model. her hair is pulled back into a bun, adorned with some fluffy hot pink hair accessory.
“looks cute, pen,” you muse, watching her pose on your tiny phone screen. penelope looks at you with a wide smile. there’s a piece of your hair sticking up and out of place, and she desperately wants to reach out and smooth it out. her thumb twitches.
“alright my sweet soulmate,” she starts with a smile. you know what’s coming. “it’s time for me to head to work.”
you pout at her pixelated face. “already?”
“unfortunately, dear,” she says, but despite feeling reluctant to hang up, her words come out as cheery as ever.
“alright, penny. have fun at work,” you say, and as soon as she acknowledges your farewell and offers her own, the screen goes black with nothing but a tri-tone to signal the end of the call.
you and penelope met seven months ago on some new, groundbreaking virtual world game. penelope’s character was a fairy, with wings that glowed so much she had to have paid extra to have them. (she hadn’t. she just hacked into the fairly new and easy-to-bypass code and given her character the virtual wardrobe of her dreams.) she made a point to keep true to herself, even through her tiny computer alter-ego.
the two of you often floated in the same circles as you played the game. you were funny, always typing something witty into the chat, and she quickly found herself very fond of you. she let her fingers hover over her keyboard before typing out her first message to you. after the whole “fisher king” fiasco, she respectfully refrained from contacting people on the internet, resigning herself to admiring from afar. but you were different. you had interacted with penelope already, exchanging compliments and working together to solve quests in the game. you knew her, and she knew you, but direct message felt like a new realm. it felt...intimate.
when you replied to her first message, a simple “hi penelope!” with a butterfly emoji attached for good measure, penelope nearly flew out of her desk chair; she was so excited. she quickly typed back to you, punctuating with approximately two million exclamation points and a link to her own personal social media. you smiled widely to yourself watching penelope’s chat appear on your computer screen.
over the next months, you and penelope had become practically inseparable. well...virtually, at least. you lived much too far from penelope, and penelope much too far from you. your distance spanned one timezone and a handful of states, but with how often you two talked, you always felt close. you learned her favorite color, her favorite movie, her favorite tv shows. she learned your guilty pleasure snack, your nighttime routine, and your favorite song to drive to. after 12am, you’d whisper into the phone receiver about your day, telling her about everything that bothered you or brought you joy. penelope revelled in these chats. listening to you was the best part of her day. this was your friendship, and it was good.
but recently things had been ever-so-slightly different. penelope lingers on a phone call even though she is exhausted, just to hear your voice. she proof-reads her text messages multiple times before sending them out--who does that? the red heart emoji is fast becoming her most used, taking the place of the pink one. the pink one is platonic, it’s always been platonic, and the red one is romantic. how is this happening? often, penelope lies in bed, imagining you’re laying against each other with your hands entangled. she reaches and rests her hand on the other side of the bed, where you would lie if you were there. sometimes, when she’s really tired, she believes she can feel you.
when thinking about this, penelope’s chest feels tight in the most exhilarating way. she’s confused, naturally. the last time she felt this way was when she thought she had real feelings for derek. (she’d buried whatever feeling that was way deep down in the depths of her brain.)
could it be love if you had never touched? no. no, penelope is a romantic, but she’s also a realist. this can’t be love, not yet. but...a crush. the realization of the word seeps into her bloodstream, setting each cell in her body on fire. it’s a nice fire, a warm fire, a fire that flickers in pink flames. penelope spins around a few times in her work desk chair.
gee, how lucky is she that she’s got her own little cave here? no one to interrupt her private moment of reckoning...although, now that she thinks of it, it’s not much of a “moment” from the outside. it’s not like her cheeks are stained red and there’s a sign on her forehead that reads “i have a crush!” any one of her coworkers could walk in right now and have no clue anything is any different. (penelope forgets that she’s terrible at hiding things and that she works with trained behavioral profilers.) she pauses a minute, staring at the door, half-expecting hotch to walk in and chew her out for not looking up white males in nebraska, or something.
penelope smoothly rolls her chair over to where her cell phone rests. she really shouldn’t be making a personal call at work, she thinks, but she also really shouldn’t have hacked into reid’s work computer and changed everything in english into tagalog last week. penelope can’t remember the last time she genuinely cared about the FBI’s rules. (in her defense, it took spencer like--half of a second to figure out what the unfamiliar language was, and a whole work day to understand it. she was teaching him!)
she picks up the phone, grinning as she swipes through recent text notifications of you updating penelope on your day. she finds the “call” button quickly, and waits as it begins to ring.
“penelope?” you question upon answering. “i’m at work, i can’t really talk right now.” you sound happy, despite the intrusion penelope knows she’s providing.
“no, i know,” penelope replies, twirling a pen in her free hand. she taps her foot quickly. “which is why i’ll make this super quick.” she drags out the word ‘super’ like it tastes like candy. “i have a crush on you. an earth-shattering, red roses, big crush on you.”
“oh,” you gasp, surprised. “oh! yeah!” you shake your head quickly, as if trying to wake yourself from a dream. all penelope can hear on the other line is the swooshing of air. “yeah, penny, me too. definitely me too. by that i mean, i have a crush on you too.” you’re stumbling, tripping over the words in your haste to get them out, but neither one of you seem to notice. all you can tell is the grin on your face is starting to hurt your cheeks, and all penelope can tell is that if she pulls her knees any closer to her chest she might squish herself.
“okay, cool,” penelope says through a smile.
you give a breathy laugh. “i really do have to go, though. i’ll definitely talk to you later, though. bye, penny,” you say, and hang up before giving penelope the chance to quip a witty goodbye.
you like her back, penelope thinks, the harps playing in her head making her feel like a juvenile pining after someone on the playground. her stomach flutters. the angelic voices in her head are singing, something that sounds like a warbled, choral version of “i wanna dance with somebody” by whitney houston. she closes her eyes, and relishes in it.
after a second, the stark silence in penelope’s office startles her into reality.
what is this?
what is she doing?
oh, fuck, she thinks. tears well in her eyes. what is she doing? this is so unrealistic, penelope thinks, berating herself. you’re far away, only connected to her through a phone screen. it’s a great sentiment to have this sweet crush, yeah, but it’s not practical. not real. it’s not like penelope would ever be in a position to pack up and fly to you, and after hearing you gush about your job just the night prior, she knows you certainly feel the same.
and then she feels like shit for even calling, for even telling you that she felt this way. it would cause nothing but problems. penelope pauses, in her brain. no, it wouldn’t even cause problems! being with you is so incredibly far-fetched that there isn’t even a “will they, won’t they” debate. any problem is solved with a simple “won’t they.” no, this wouldn’t cause problems, but it would cause heartache, and she should’ve known better. penelope thinks she’s feeling a bit of that heartache now. she sniffles, toying with a tiny plush pig she keeps perched on her desk. sometimes penelope just gets blinded by the butterflies. it’s her best trait and most fatal flaw.
there’s a knock at her door. derek.
“hey babygirl,” he says, pushing open the door and leaning into the doorframe. “what are you doing for lunch?”
with her back turned to him, she rubs at her eyes delicately, trying very hard not to mess up her makeup. “uh, i brought my thermos. soup,” she says, clawing desperately at the bubbly personality she can feel slipping away from her for today. she’s just down in the dumps.
“hey, what’s wrong?” derek asks, instantly picking up on her sour mood. he steps into her office and closes the door behind him.
penelope turns to him, eyes rimmed in red, and gives him a half smile. derek, sweet derek, always so in tune with penelope, is looking at her intently, worry written in every crease of his face. penelope always feels lucky to have him, but especially in this moment. in a rush of emotion, she stands, flings her arms around his neck and pulls him in to a tight hug.
derek chuckles. “i love you too.”
penelope pulls away with a half-hearted chuckle, swatting the air as if to get rid of the negative emotions plaguing her office. “you come in here with your big muscles and your pretty face and somehow you’ve got me crying in your arms.” she laughs again, slightly more enthusiastic this time.
derek pulls her to his chest again, holding her there without words. penelope lets out a deep sigh, releasing every single emotion she just ran through.
she could deal with those later. she could deal with her royal mess with you later. right now, it didn’t matter. what mattered now was her office, her lunch, and derek morgan.
“derek?” she asks, voice small. he turns to her, prompting her to speak again. “if i asked you to stay, would you?”

Chan as your older brother AU 💖✨
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/144564f0c43dffde17cc7beefd4112be/eed86007cf87522f-67/s540x810/9d3e446924606244ae5041b90f7607e1c78a5846.jpg)
word count: 1.4k
genre: fluffiest of all fluffs, you’ll rot your teeth, bullet point fic
warnings: swearing
Disclaimer: I do not personally know Chan. This work is purely fiction and my own idea. I took inspiration from his on screen persona. Please do not translate or re-upload my work.
☆ Let’s start with you two as babies.
☆ Chan probably LOVED the idea of having a younger sibling he probably crawled to his mum with her baby bump and he'd softly talk to you "please come out quickly baby 🥺"
☆ Then he’d get impatient and ask “is it time yet?” Then he’d start whining and pouting “How much looonger? Baby is so sloooow”
☆ “is it gonna be a boy or a girl?” he wasn’t particular about the gender as long as he gets a playmate
☆ Probably helped your parents pick your name even
☆ He was just THAT much invested in helping mummy raise the baby and in return he gets to play kill me I might just start crying just by THINKING about it asdfghjkl
☆ When he heard the baby is here, the Flash had nothing on Bang Christopher Chan as he literally ZOOMED through the corridors of the hospital to where his mum was staying to jump up on the bed.
☆ There’s at least 10 different photos of Chan holding you on the hospital bed as soon as you were born. #cutie
☆ When your mum was discharged and everyone came home, he would cuddle you and just WOULD NOT LET GO
☆ And he'd sing lullabies to you
☆ He would speak in ᵗᶦⁿʸ and just talk ˢᵒᶠᵗˡʸ around you so he wouldn’t frighten you
☆ No jealousy whatsoever........ okay maybe just a liiiiiitle bit
☆ He’d feel a little jealous when he realised he didn’t get as much affection as he used to when he was the only child
☆ But that quickly changes when he receives attention from one of his parents preferably his mum Channie is a mamma’s boy I don’t make the rules
☆ When you were a newborn, your parents would have you sleep with them in their room. Chan would scamper out of his room in the middle of the night to sleep with the three of you because he was a wee bit jealous you got to sleep with mum and dad.
☆ It became a routine very quickly after that
☆ But your parents wouldn’t let him sleep next to baby because what if he accidentally hits you in his sleep. What a struggle. So he’d sleep on the edge of the bed cuddled in his mum’s arms. don’t touch me I’m soft
☆ Your mum would dress you two in matching outfits and take dozens of photos. “EW MUM WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!” you two looked the absolute cutest so it doesn’t matter
☆ Slowly when you two grew up and you started crawling, you’d follow him everywhere because he was so intriguing to baby you
☆ He started finding you annoying “STUPID BABY”
☆ But he’d still cry if something happened to you
☆ Slowly he started liking you back again
☆ He liked the idea of someone looking up to him and from then on he was your little protector.
☆ He was your guardian angel, he was your hero. He’d do anything to protect you. Scratch that, he still is. He always will be.
☆ Now you guys are older as tweens/teens/young adults whichever you prefer
☆ Eats your share of food- looking into the little nook in the fridge to take out your hidden stash of candy but your favourite one is gone.
☆ You confront him about it and he looks guilty. You're extremely annoyed but at the same time you can't stay mad for too long.
☆ He makes it up to you by buying you two of your favourite candies or treats you to something else.
☆ "Why steal my food in the first place if you're gonna treat me anyway?" He'd shrug "for some reason it tastes better" so you smack him upside his head and then it escalates into a mini wrestling match
☆ He's a very active guy who’s into a lot of sports but when you ask him to teach you he's very whiny "noooooo later" but then when you're chilling he'll show up "come on let's go swimming" and you're like "noooooo" he'd be like "I thought you wanted to go? Come on" and drag you along even though you don't want to and it’s like “why didn’t you do this WHEN I TOLD YOU?”
☆ But he makes it fun for you in the end and afterwards he treats you to ice cream.
☆ Eats a lot. If your mum gives you both a bowl of food. He'll inhale it like he's never eaten before in like 5 minutes and you're confused like how did he finish it all and it was piping hot meanwhile you haven't even finished 1/3rd of your bowl
☆ so he's done and he's staring at your bowl with greedy eyes "you gonna finish all of that?" *switches to puppy eyes* you're like "yeah" so you continue eating until you finish half then just hand the rest over to him and it's all gone in a minute.
☆ Your mum has no idea he eats half of your food when she gives you equal amounts and you'll never tell her because she'll scold you for never finishing her food so Chan is like your personal eco garbage disposal because he eats everything
☆ It’s like a dirty secret between you two what she doesn’t know won’t kill her
☆ He'll be your emotional support human he'll be the first person you always go to when you need a pick me up.
☆ And it's a guarantee he'll always make you feel better whether it's through his words or his actions because both feel like a huge, cozy and warm hug
☆ If someone bullies you, your normally sweet and gentle older brother will go on a rampage "WHO THE FUCK HURT MY BABY BROTHER/SISTER?! I'M GONNA KILL EM"
☆ He’s the Golden child of your parents because he's good at everything but it never matters to you because Chan never makes you feel lesser than you seem to think of yourself. He's always supporting you and uplifting you
☆ Tries to help you with your homework and in turn learns a few things himself.
☆ He's a big help with poetry, literature or creative writing homeworks (wbk)
☆ You two are really close and you always talk about random stuff he's not just your older brother he's also your best friend
☆ Even your friends ask about him and want to be his friend too because he's so cool, some of them have crushes on him and you’re like “ew what’s there to like?” *fake gags*
☆ He's always nice to everyone he sees. Elderly people love him too because he's such a gentleman.
☆ He's very proud to have you as his sibling he'll proudly show you off to his friends. “THIS IS MY LITTLE BROTHER/SISTER :D”
☆ If he's having fun with his friends but if something is wrong with you he will drop everything and race to you as quick as humanly possible to make sure you're okay because he's not okay if you're not okay. this is science ok
☆ Sometimes you two bicker a lot but it's sibling banter where you end up laughing
☆ Shows you funny memes or jokes he finds on the internet be like "that's you" or "this is so me lmao"
☆ Tags you in siblings memes be like "us"
☆ If your parents are angry at you for something he'll try to defend you if he feels it's not your fault
☆ But if something IS your fault he'd try to calm his parents down and then tell you about how wrong you are to do something in private so your parents don't put you down even more
☆ You always go to him for advice first. Not your parents, him. His input, opinions and approval mean the most to you. Because he’s the coolest.
☆ You two goof around a lot. Carpool karaokes on the daily.
☆ You two would sing/rap together to songs and have a blast
☆ You feel insecure about your voice but Chan makes you feel like a popstar
☆ You two would post anonymous YouTube covers together when you slowly grew confident with singing. Just a side thing for funsies
☆ He’s your rock sometimes you feel like he does too much for you and you can't do anything for him in return
☆ But little do you know Chan is the strongest because of you by his side always cheering him on. Your very existence gives him strength for everything
☆ You two have each other's backs through thick and thin
☆ Because of Chan as your older brother you're a better version of yourself everyday
