These are just my thoughts, you might can agree and disagree at some point in your perspective but knowing them since predebut, this is my opinion on their likings and nature. But honestly, I was really imagining myself while writing this like how would I dress up if I ever get to meet them personally lol. i'm being too much delulu right now. I need some serious therapy.

Hongjoong

The man who is in love with passionate and hardworking girls rather you can say, a dedicated woman. He loves the way if you are always dressed up fashionably according to the occasion. If you are wearing a tight short dress or a long body-hugging slit gown for a night party or business meeting party then you should have to feel under watch. He would steal glances of you now and then and would keep you by his side and whisper some good and nasty compliments, to let others know how to keep their eyes off from you as you are taken by him. He would try to maintain a proper image in front of everyone with a wide toothy grin but behind the sly smirk is how he thinks of bending you in-front of the mirror and see you falling apart in that classy dress. Also, his soft side would get attracted if you wear any clothes and shoes designed by him, like the designer jackets which will make him proud that you are appreciating his hobbies and he would secretly click your pictures in it.

Seonghwa

Oh, a sweet personality who has always this adoration and awe in his eyes whenever he gets a glimpse of you. He loves a person who is a very soft aesthetic and dress up femininely. Wearing cute skirts or frocks like summer dress or casual wears. He would find you the most beautiful one in these outfits. He likes the way your dress flows with the light breeze and a bright smile adorning your face which brings a small smile on his face. He would hold your hand and feel himself the most luckiest one to have you and would try to help you in every other household chores so that you don’t look exhausted and can spend sweet times with him. But, it’s not always about this sweet romance as he might sometimes lose control to see you cooking and back hugging you in the kitchen in those frocks and well, he would bring the heaven to the kitchen counter.

Yunho

A tall handsome who doesn’t know how to keep his eyes off from you. He just finds you attractive in anything. He is like a hopeless lover and feels so happy just to see you holding his big hands with your cute little hands. Maybe, he likes you the most when you wear skirts as he would swiftly lift you up in his arms and place you on his lap, you placing your hands around his neck and both having beautiful smile on your faces. His one hand would caress your face and the other would going up and down your bare thighs. He loves the way you look so vulnerable in those cute skirt and top that it’s very difficult for him to leave you alone. Your every small shifting on his lap makes him hard and painful but no matter what he just wants to keep those cute skirts on you, rest everything off. Theres one more thing that attracts him more is you in his big clothes as you looked like a kitten dumped under the pile of clothes and he would coo and hug you all the day.

Yeosang

Well, he might be of two types. His one personality like you in some cute outfits which are totally like frocks and skirts and sweetly hold your hand and compliments here and there. He would often try to match his outfits with you and let you buy couple wears to let others know to whom you actually belong. His sweet demeanour is far to recognise that’s hiding a demon of possessiveness. He is very shy whenever he tells you about his favourite skirt or dress that looks absolutely beautiful on you. He loves it more whenever there are some cute floral or pattern designs on the dress. But if the dress is looking too sexy on you then just expect his other personality, his fingers inside of you as he would love to see you making little noises in those cute outfits. He just loves you so much so he doesn’t know how to really appreciate you in the dress so he sometimes tries to make a drawing of yours and you secretly keep it treasured in your closet.

San

He just can’t keep his hands off to himself whenever you are around him. He loves to see you in classy outfits where he can proudly present you as his partner to everyone. He has this side where he wants to see you in all elegant and classy and people admiring you for your beauty and success but he also loves your silly side. So, You in any elegant outfits might make him go crazy for you as he would definitely bring you to his parents to arrange for a wedding the next day. Speaking of turning him on, maybe if you are a very confident woman in a classy dress approach him but acts all shy during the conversation with him closely, it might turn your planned day into something else. Maybe his hands and minds both will be somewhere else unlike other times. Welcome the demon inside the sweet man.

Mingi

Tight outfits will make him hold you tightly against his body. Anything that highlighting your curves and hugging your body perfectly would turn him on. His here and there light touches and patting your head with a smile as if letting the others around him know that even if they are looking at you but you are only for him to touch and desire. Licking his lips and staring at you while you sexily sits across him on a sofa when you both have gone for a dine out would make it so hard for him to not drag you home and see you fall apart. But apart from this, he has a soft side which is majorly available the whole day, he is just always whiny for your attention so if you are wearing his favourite outfits then it might make him too soft for you to handle. He might also like baggy clothes on you sometimes as he thinks those look cute on you.

Wooyoung

He is such a Loverboy that he will always let you know about his likings and love for you. As usual, you both first met in the dance studio so that’s the very first thing he liked about you being having the same passion as his and you in the dance practice fits like a tank top or crop tops with sweat pants is the weakest point for him. He loves you in those funky outfits or tomboy-ish clothes but would definitely love anything which gives off an aura of dominance from you. Simply, those just turns him on even if you both are in public. Sometimes, you jokingly wear his clothes especially those hoodies as they are very much comfortable but to him, he wants you to always wear his clothes and maybe do all the nasty things that coming across his mind at the moment.

Jongho

He will never let you know that he loves you in your classy work outfits. Yes, this man is very reserve but a cute lover if you know him after spending 24/7 with him. Every morning whenever you are wearing those straight pants with a plain shirt or solid top , or maybe like a knee length skirt and blazer outfit. OH GOSH, have mercy on the man as he would be staring a bit too obvious that you have to raise your eyebrows and ask him continuously if you would change it or anything wrong with your look. He will wave it off as nothing or swiftly sing few lines for you to make you smile but inside his head the only thing is going on that why it is necessary for you to appear such perfectly for the meetings where all the eyes will be on you and he would not be there to glare them off. Lastly, he might just love you in outfits which are not too much revealing.

A/N: Writing this reaction brought back a lot of bittersweet memories for me. Growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a surgeon (after realising I have no place in the entertainment industry whatsoever)—specifically a cardiac surgeon or at least a cardiologist. It was something I was deeply passionate about, and I worked hard enough to score well above the threshold for both medical and engineering. But in the end, I had to let go of that dream. The laws and circumstances where I live made it too risky to pursue medicine. If I started medical school, I knew I wouldn’t be able to escape this place, and that thought alone made me realize I had to choose a different path. As much as I loved the idea of being a surgeon, my lifelong plan to get out and build a life elsewhere mattered more. So, I had to go with Plan B—engineering.

Writing this made me nostalgic too because I can’t help but wonder: If I had pursued medicine, would I have been proud? Would I have felt fulfilled, knowing I was saving lives? Or, more painfully, would I have ended up trapped, distraught, and regretting it because I couldn’t leave? It’s a strange mix of emotions – grief for the dream I had to abandon, relief that I avoided a path that might have closed all my doors, and curiosity about what might have been.

That’s why this request hit close to home. It let me imagine a version of myself who got to live that dream, even if just for a little while. So, to anyone who is living this reality—who wakes up every day in scrubs, saving lives, and carrying the weight of that responsibility—I admire you deeply. And to those who had to walk away from a dream for the sake of survival, I see you, and I understand 💙

Seungcheol: At first, he might feel a little worried about you being in such a high-pressure job. He admires your dedication and skill, but the thought of you being in life-or-death situations will occasionally make him nervous. But when he sees how confident and passionate you are, he can’t help but be proud. Jun: He definitely admires your intelligence and skill, but sometimes he might act like he doesn’t understand the weight of your job (but not in a bad way!). He’ll ask you questions about your day, but his mind starts wandering when you talk about specific medical stuff. Despite his lack of understanding, he’s your biggest supporter. He’s often making sure you're not overworking yourself and tries to make your days off as relaxing as possible. The moments when you share the emotional toll of your job with him make him want to protect you even more. He’s always there to listen when you need to vent.

Hoshi: Hoshi’s admiration for you would be overwhelming. He’s just so excited and impressed by the fact that you’re saving lives every day. He knows how exhausting and emotionally draining your job can be, so he never pressures you to talk about work unless you want to. Dokyeom: Kyeom is the type to proudly tell people, "Yeah, my partner’s a surgeon." He’s genuinely so impressed and sometimes can’t stop asking questions about your work because he wants to know everything about your profession. But deep down, he’s a little worried, especially when it comes to the emotional toll your job may take. When you’re having a rough day or seem exhausted, he’s quick to lighten the mood or take your mind off of things with his goofy antics lol. He loves that you help people, but he also wants to make sure you’re taking care of yourself too. He’s your emotional sunshine, always there to bring you some light during tough times.

Mingyu: Mingyu is proud, beyond proud. He finds it so attractive that you’re so smart, capable, and hardworking. You’re a total boss in his eyes, and he can’t help but gush about you to the other members. Still, there’s a part of him that worries when you’re on-call or working long hours. He may joke around to cover his concern, but when he sees you stressed or tired, he’s ready to do anything to make you feel better. He’ll surprise you with sweet gestures like a massage or getting your favorite snacks, knowing how taxing your work can be.

Minghao: He sees your profession as incredibly noble. He respects your intelligence and work ethic so much that he also gets worried about the emotional burden your job might carry. When you share tough moments or heart-wrenching stories from your work, he gets quiet, genuinely feeling for you. He might seem a bit distant or reserved, but that's only because he’s deep in thought, wishing there was something more he could do. When you're home, he’ll try to distract you with things you love, like painting together or going on walks.

I will try my best! I cannot claim to be big on history, myself, so I had to do research and hope for the best.

Gen x Reader

Gen liked you. 

He wasn’t so proud as to not admit that to himself. You were Senku’s wild-eyed sibling who had a head filled with history on so many different places and peoples, it never failed to amaze him what you did and didn’t know. What also amazed him, was how much of that history was gruesome murders and bathroom habits. It weirded the others out just as much as Senku’s long-winded science lectures exhausted and confused them. 

But there was something in the way you spoke, the way you would get more and more excited about what you were talking about. While Senku tended to stay pretty relaxed when lecturing, you’d start talking with your hands, words coming faster every third sentence until you were nearly unintelligible. It could get a little concerning when you and Senku shared tangents together, though. You fed off each other’s energy, and could keep going just between the two of you for hours if not stopped. 

But Gen liked to listen. Mostly to you, of course, as he found your miniature lectures far more interesting and easy to follow than Senku’s science courses. He also liked the way your face lit up when someone asked for more information on whatever topic you were talking about, liked how your eyes seemed to glitter and your smile grew wider. It made his heart leap in his chest, his stomach twisting in anxious knots.

“What are you thinking about, my dear?” Gen’s voice startles you a bit. You blink out of your reverie, looking at him as he slides to the empty spot next to you. 

“The moon,” You say, turning back to look up at the great glowing mass beyond the stars. 

“Because that’s where we’re hoping to go?” 

“Mmhm. Well, sort of. I was lowkey wondering if Buzz Aldrin’s piss was still floating around up there.”

Gen chokes on his own spit at your mumbled words. 

“And…why would that be?” He’s a little scared to ask. 

“The part of his suit that collected urine busted, so he ended up peeing himself while he was up there,” You say with a shrug, as if it’s the most basic knowledge in the world. 

“I would think it floated away a long time ago,” Gen says. You give another little shrug, shifting to lean into his side a little. You liked to do that while you were thinking, though he’d noted recently that you only did it to him. 

“Maybe. But how funny would it be if our stone world astronauts got a face full of it while they were looking for Why-Man?” You snort and laugh, the sound of it so purely infectious that he can’t help chuckling along with you. 

“You certainly know all kinds of things,” Gen says, his gaze on you warm. 

“I was bored at school a lot.”

“Tell me something else,” He says, his heart trying to jump from his chest when one of those smiles brightens your face. 

“Medieval Europeans used to put animals on trial,” You said. “The little criminals had lawyers and everything.” 

“What would be the point of that, exactly?” 

“To maintain peace and order.” 

“Ah…of course.” 

You giggle at his skepticism. 

“Here’s one Senku likes,” You say. “Scientists weren’t always called scientists.” 

“Right, they were alchemists, I believe.”

“Oooh,” You lean a little more on him, the heat of your body making his face flush. “So close, Gen. Alchemists were sort of like ancient magicians. Scientists were actually called natural philosophers, sometimes savants. The word Scientist itself wasn’t coined until the 1830’s.” 

You stand back up straight, turning to face him, and Gen knows he’s in for more. 

“It was created by William Whewell. He was a historian. The word is supposed to pay homage to the word artist, which honestly makes perfect sense to me. Science is an art. Oh! Speaking of the 19th century, did you know that they used to do full on seances in the white house?”

“No, I didn’t,” He’s pretty sure he’d read that somewhere, but you looked so excited, he couldn’t bring himself to stop you. 

“Yeah! So, when President Lincoln’s son died in…” You pause, searching your mind for the correct date before moving on. “1862, if memory serves, his wife totally lost her gourd and hired people to come in and try to contact the dead. Which is totally bogus, by the way. If ghosts existed, they’d be made of purely energy, so I’m not sure they would actually be able to speak in the way we think.” 

“Is that so?” He’s leaning on the railing of the ship now, head tilted in a way that he hopes tells you he’s interested, rather than calculating. 

“Mmhm! Oh! Speaking of ghosts-” 

Your name is called, Senku waving at you from the doorway leading down into the lower floors of the Perseus. 

“Hey, quit flirting with the mentalist and come here, will ya?” Senku calls, sounding bored and a little disgusted. 

“M’kay,” You call back, leaving Gen reeling a bit over the small fact that you hadn’t corrected Senku when you’d been accused of flirting with him. 

You turn and start towards Senku, who lets you move past him down the stairs, pausing before following. 

“By the way, mentalist,” Senku calls. “If you’re gonna make a move, just make it already. I’m tired of watching you two dance around each other.” 

Gen lets out a chuckle, feeling rather embarrassed. Of course if anyone had noticed his growing feelings for you, it would be Senku. 

“I have no idea what you mean, dear Senku,” Gen says, lifting his eyes to look at the moon. He hears Senku scoff, but the scientist says nothing else.

2-year anniversary post

My blog is now 2-years old~!

After my last anniversary post, I had quite a list of projects planned; in addition to making posts for all the upcoming SxF content, like the movie, season 2, and the video game, I had other personal projects in mind as well. I wanted to start on my Japanese Linguistic Observations in Spy x Family series, which I was able to write five posts for as of now! (I've currently exhausted all the topics I wanted to discuss for that, but I may come up with more ideas later on). There was also the Spy x Family Character Tracker, which took me a while to get motivated to do, but once I did, I'm proud of how it turned out 😃 I also made a lot of scan posts this year too, like the workbooks and my series of miscellaneous collab scans.

But compared to my last anniversary, which was at a time when there was a lot of new SxF content on the horizon, we've been in a bit of a dry spell the past several months. Hype for the aforementioned movie, game, and anime season have died down, and merch and collabs have slowed as well, since there hasn't been new anime content to promote. But I consider it the calm before the storm, lol.

This is also why my posts have gotten a little less frequent lately - there hasn't been as much new SxF content in general besides the manga chapters, and as mentioned previously, I was able to check off the projects I had wanted to do. So as of now, I don't have much new content planned in the coming year besides continuing my Chronological Analysis on Twilight and Yor series when season 3 airs (still no release date yet, but I'm betting on spring of 2025). I'll also make posts for each anime episode like I did with season 2. And of course, I'll continue my manga chapter reviews, and make merch and scan posts when I can.

I've always tried to maintain a "quality over quantity," "only write when I have something to say," mentality for the blog. I don't want to force myself to write when I'm not motivated (this is also why I don't take part in community writing projects and the like). I also have other hobbies besides SxF, so I like to focus my limited free time on those when there isn't much going on in the SxF fandom. Occasionally I think to myself, "Hm, I haven't posted on Tumblr in a while," but if there isn't anything I feel like writing about at the time, it's better if I hold off rather than force myself to churn out something uninspiring.

But as I said, I feel like we're in a calm before the storm. Season 3 will already be exciting enough, but there's a good chance more content will follow. The next Jump Festa is scheduled for late December, and as usual, SxF will have a dedicated panel with the four Forger voice actors in attendance!

The movie and season 2 were announced at this event in 2022, so there's a good chance we'll get more juicy announcements this year! Even if not another movie, I'd be happy with more artbooks, collabs, and other things down the line! There's also a good chance an idea for another SxF project will inspire me and I'll start working on that. Who knows. But I do know SxF is still a popular series with many more years of content to produce! And I look forward to seeing, and blogging about, it all 😁

I FINISHED IT!!!

And it’s still Capril week!! I don’t think this fits any of the daily prompts and themes, but I don’t care. This was the first time I was successfully creative since starting my new job at the pet lodge. I fought the mental exhaustion and fucking DID IT

I want to make this into Redbubble designs. Because screw it, I’m keeping my ROTTMNT designs up. I can’t promise when I’ll have time to format this for Redbubble, but I absolutely have ideas for it. I want to make just this design, but I also want to see if I can arrange like a matching kind of thing? The example I’ve been using to explain this has been phones- so, casey is on one phone, and April is on another. They’re separate designs. And when you push them together, you get the whole drawing!! I think it’s cute, but I’ve playing the Redbubble formatting system game before. It isn’t easy. Making two separate designs that will match up against each other on two different products?? Eugh boi that’s going to be hard 😫

I’m making art slower than usual, but I am still trying!! I’m proud of myself for being creative despite work taking up so much time and energy. After this, I’m going to be working on a Meet the Artist thing! Just gotta figure out how to draw myself in my style lol. Bye! I hope you like the sapphics!

Wyll is the only str8 companion I buy having abs. he's a swordsman and keeps himself lean to be good in a fight.

uses his swordmanship knowledge as a fitness regime - the two of you spar every day for long periods, it's a great workout!

helps you cool down after too, shows you the best way to help ease the sting of lactic acid.

he will sit down with you and make an exercise plan for each day. if he's doing this with you you're going the whole way, not half-arsing it.

very excited. jumps into training with you way too fast and hard. you are exhausted after the first couple of days and go to bed aching from it.

when she realises she cuts down on what she's asking you to do and tries to build up your strength and endurance on a curve rather than all at once.

she loves getting up early and going for a jog, just the two of you.

great at weight lifting. you're able to lift far more than you could every dream of after a couple of months.

she flexes at you and you flex back, then break into laughter. she loves having someone to do this with!

you groaned as you turned and turned on your bed. you put the pillow over your face. the bright lights were hurting your eyes so bad.

your body was aching all over. you were getting so tired. no matter how much you tried to sleep the pain away or take painkillers, it just won’t go away.

you sat up despite the pain, you wanted to turn the lights off. which nurse thought it was a great idea to on the lights so early in the morning? you were about to get off the bed when—

“what do you think you are doing!”

you heard the door slide open and you looked up to see a familiar guy in a blue hoodie. he closed the door behind him, immediately coming by your bed and getting you to lay back down.

“you shouldn’t move,” he said, making you lay down again. he was holding a few plastic bags and placed them gently on a nearby table. “i got us some breakfast.”

“hanbin,” you mumbled, feeling aches all over. “the lights, it’s too—“

hanbin immediately went over to the light switch, dimming it down. “there, better?” he asked softly, coming by your side again. you nod, closing your eyes. you just felt so tired. you spent the most of the previous days going through tests and checkups, you were exhausted.

hanbin smiled, sitting down on a stool beside your bed. he pat your head, relaxing you. “i got us some breakfast in case you were hungry. i got your favourite sandwich from the stall across my house,” he whispered softly, standing up again and getting a sandwich he out of the plastic bags he was holding earlier.

he came back by your side as he unwraps the packaging. “the auntie there asks me how you are doing,” he said as he held the sandwich in front of your mouth. he began to feed you, watching you softly as you take a bite. “i tell her you are doing better but you will still be here for awhile.”

you reached out to get the sandwich out of his hands but hanbin pulled back, shaking his head. “let me feed you.”

“but i can do it myself,” you pouted.

“i know, but let me help you.”

“but—“

hanbin shoved a piece of sandwich into your mouth. “i want to.”

you stopped protesting, letting him feed you. once you were done, hanbin unscrewed the cap of a water bottle and handed it to you, making you drink.

he watched you drink, a small smile on his face. once you were done, he took it back from you, putting it away. “do you have anything to do today?” he asked, playing with your fingers.

“probably more tests,” you replied, sighing. “they need to test my blood levels again so…”

hanbin nodded, patting your head again. you were afraid of needles so having to deal with them almost every day wasn’t really the best. he knew that, of course. he knew how much you always dreaded them so he always made sure to be there when you have to go through the whole process.

“it’s okay,” he said, smiling at you. “i am proud that you are still so strong.”

you turned your head to face him, smiling softly. “you go through this every single day, countless of checkups and tests,” he continued. “and you still manage to be the happiest, best person ever. you always tried to show that it doesn’t affect you but it’s okay, you don’t have to hide it around me.”

hanbin leaned in and gave you a soft kiss on the forehead. “you will get better and won’t have to take more tests. you will get discharged and go out about in the world. and i will be with you, every step of the way.”

you smiled even brighter. god, how did you get so lucky?

“thank you,” you mumbled, bringing your hand up to his cheek. you caressed it softly as he leans into your touch. as much as how you hated being there in the hospital, it was okay as long as you had hanbin by your side.

him being there was your preferred way of getting better. who needs pills and tests when hanbin is by your side?

What's one thing you want in a picrew? Ability to add coloured streaks! And a wide selection of scars, or alternatively the ability to move them around the screen. Either is fine. But mostly the hair thing. My hair is generally 4 different colours. Don’t try and limit me to one!!

Favourite thing you’ve created (or seen created) for the fandom? Erm… 3 way tie between Mexico Gallacrafts, Fimo Gallavich, and Cookie Gallavich? Maybe? Argh. Turns out, looking back at my art tag… I’ve created some pretty cool stuff. Huh. Yay me.

Why is it your favourite? I don’t really do photography, and I’m really proud of the idea behind and the execution of that photo. And while I LOVE drawing more than anything, I don’t think I’m exceptional or anything. But I’m damn creative when it comes to silly 3D craft projects, so both Fimo Gallavich and Cookie Gallavich make me happy and feel like something not just anyone could do… I dunno.

Did it come easily or was it hard to create? It was LONG to create. Both cookie and Fimo Gallavich took several days in total. And I think that’s the other thing I like about myself. I am willing to put in the work, and it usually pays off.

Last ao3 fic you commented on? Hah! You’ll be able to corroborate this, I’m not just sucking up!! LOL I’m currently reading Camp is a Battlefield by @blue-disco-lights, @jrooc, and @mybrainismelted, with artwork by @creepkinginc, so that’s the last one I commented on :)

Biggest WIP heartache you’ve ever experienced? I mean… every single WIP I have ever started reading, only to realise that maybe there won’t be any more of it… 😱 Every. Single. One. They’re all special, and they all hurt in their own special ways. And I will remain subscribed to all of them FOREVER, because you never know!!

Also? Comment on WIPs. Tell authors how much joy the story brought you, how much space it’s occupying in your brain, how much you would love to see it continue but how happy you are to have read as much of the story as there is because it’s changed your brain chemistry… do NOT comment saying ‘next chapter when?’, cause that makes you a dick bag.

HEAR ME OUT. SPICYNOODLES STORY IDEA.

‼️Season 5 spoilers btw‼️

For this idea, the two had only established feelings for one another recently and haven’t discussed a relationship (considering they are in the middle of a world ending mission so they decided to have smth to look forward to after all of this mess and wait)

Also Mk was forced to stay with Nüwa for the sake of the plot. OR chose to stay idk you can decide. 🫶🏻

Red is there when Mk has to jump through the portal and stuff to save the world, he is completely heart broken. He isn’t able to reach out to Mk in time to stop him. He is on the ground screaming sobbing Mk’s name, fire is just fuming all around him (I like to personally head cannon that if he is upset enough/in major distress his fire color varies from blue to white as it gets very hot.) out of impulse he decides to open a portal to the celestial realm and leave with no explanation. Just gone.

Red actually GOES TO THE CELESTIAL REALM. AND DRAGS MK BACK TO THE MORTAL REALM. (How boss would that be??)

And I was thinking at the end he just arrives back to Flower Fruit Mountain where everyone met up in ‘memorial’ for Mk and Red just tiredly (incredibly beat up) walks up the mountain with a sleeping Mk in his arms. Everyone is just gobsmacked by this, and of course are in tears and stuff. Red collapses from exhaustion FINALLY (cause he knows Mk will be safe and he can rest *cries profusely*)

Later on Mk wakes up and all of that fun stuff. His friends all greet him and blah blah blah and he is all like “You guys are so amazing for doing this” and they are all like “Um- we did NOT do that, Red did” and he is all like “Pardon 🤠” utterly flabbergasted LMAO. (I was thinking the reason they didn’t try to do the same was because they thought yk, Mk was dead dead as in fully gone disappeared into the earth gone, and Red was just in utter denial and knew it was some sneaky ass celestial realm shit. Sooo that was his motive!) Obviously not because he doesn’t think Redson couldn’t do it but because Red loved Mk so much he ripped through the celestial realm, almost fucking died MULTIPLE times, AND LITERALLY HAD TO GO AGAINST THE CREATOR OF LIFE HERSELF (You can decide on how that would happen. I personally imagine it as a bargain of some sort) just to save him. And bring him back home with no scratches (on Mk)

Of course they see each other Red all bandaged up and Mk is sobbing like “Omg you dumbass why did you do that for me” and Red is all like “Your the dumbass who jumped into the portal to sacrifice yourself. And you are plenty of worth destroying the world and celestial realm for, I wouldn’t want them anyways if you weren’t there.” And Mk is just internally melting and sobbing. And and then Red son makes a stupid joke about not getting a goodbye kiss which makes Mk laugh and then they kiss.

A little bonus: Redson goes down in history for being a force to reckon with when it came to his lover (insert cool historic sounding love story title) and his parents are super proud of him all that fun stuff 💪💪

I MIGHT TRY TO WRITE A STORY BASED ON IT BUT I FEEL LIKE I WOULD OVERWHELM MYSELF WITH IDEAS AND THEN JUST COMPLETELY LOSE MOTIVATIONAL LOL so I am hoping this falls into the hands of some great people!! 🫶🏻

A Massive Thank You

So this is very random (like most things lol), but I wanted to announce that my (slightly over week long) hiatus from posting content will be over, and I'll be posting writings and drawings whenever I'm able to.

My mental health has been doing much better these last few days thanks to some of my closest friends on here encouraging me and keeping me afloat. It also helps that I finally got done with the required amount of NCLEX prep in order for my (now former) professor to send something to the Board in order for me to get an official test date. Hopefully, that will be here soon, and I can finally take the big test that will allow me to start working as an RN, as I've spent three whole years in school for. I feel a massive relief and weight off my chest, and I realize most of my depression stemmed from feelings of failure and massive burnout and exhaustion from my time doing both school and work for the last semester of school, my fears of not being able to achieve all that I have worked towards, and my own problems with comparing myself with the rest of the fandom, a hobby that means a lot to me and serves as my only form of socialization outside of my house and work (as previously mentioned before).

With this all being said, when you feel like a burnt out failure, it can be hard to find confidence in yourself when you're stuck in a mental state where you compare yourself to everyone and feel less than based on low numbers (which shouldn't mean a thing), and your own disbelief in your own hobbies.

But the truth is, I shouldn't feel bad about not creating content that is popular here. Others like PaulPat? They can have it. Others like abusing Patrick? They can have it. Others can produce x reader stuff and super interesting OCs? I can admire it and consume whatever ones I want, and they can have it, too. If I wanna make self ship content, if I wanna produce gentle maledom/femsub smut, the fluffiest of fluff, the most niche of angst, and even some kink stuff every now and then featuring my shitty self insert, I should and can. Even if it doesn't make everyone happy, I can't and shouldn't try to do such an absurd and impossible task. I should instead focus on the friends and mutuals I am truly grateful for and enjoy engaging with more than anything else.

Maybe I will always be an odd one out no matter what fandom I join. But that's something to take some pride in. And I definitely need to start looking at it that way. No matter what I or others produce, no matter how many notes something gets or doesn't get, there will always be someone somewhere that will find it and enjoy it.

I know I have a bad habit of not listening to my own advice, but without some of you offering that crucial advice and support I need to hear, maybe I wouldn't listen to myself at all. And for that, I am forever grateful to those of you who have been patient with me, supportive, and genuinely caring. I am proud to call you my best friends (you know who you are). No matter the distances that keep us apart, I feel that friendship connection that I am unable to feel from others around me. It's crazy to think a fictional serial killer can bring so many people together. I never would've thought back in the fall of 2021 that there would ever be a chance for me to meet some genuinely amazing people before this fandom even became a thing as it did shortly after I left Tumblr for the first time.

So thank you all so much again! I love and appreciate you all more than you will ever realize 🫂🫂🫂💘💘💘

I went shopping today to get a nice outfit to wear to "pagan prom" this weekend. (My CUUPS chapter's yearly fundraiser is a masquerade ball, but pagan prom is how must of us refer to it.) Anyway, Loki was a very solid presence during the shopping process, which lasted about 8 hours. (My ADHD kept sending me back and forth, often trying on the same 2-3 things at any given time. I ended up buying the first outfit I tried, but I had to go to the other stores and try things on just to be sure.) But we found the glittery, shiny, and generally comfortable party outfit I was hoping for. I'm gonna have to play around with makeup before the day, but I think the main pieces of the outfit are all there. And Loki really seems to like it. He wouldn't let me wear anything that wasn't a shiny, sequinned mess. Every store I went to had sequinned pieces that were on sale or clearance. So everything was relatively affordable. I also had a Visa gift card that I didn't think would cover the outfit (I wasn't sure how much was on it), but it ended up having more than enough to cover it. Loki was truly looking out for me there. They made it *very* clear what outfit I was getting. 😆 They even convinced me to go to Claire's, to shop for myself as a 32 year-old adult, to get sparkly earrings. And yes, I did purchase some. It was fun. We listened to my "childhood" playlist when driving around today, which got me singing and dancing. On the way home, I got a clear image of them rubbing the top of my head and giving it a kiss. Like they were proud of me for going shopping and singing so much. It was heartwarming, and thinking about it now, I might cry. 🥹 I'm exhausted, but I'm so excited for this weekend. And I'm so glad I got to spend the day with Loki and make him so happy. I didn't hear him talk much over the course of the day (he didn't have to for me to take the hint on what to buy lol), but he was there. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💜

Stupid question, but I remembered seeing you mention having monthly minimum wordcounts on one of your previous posts and I wanted to ask if you're a professional writer? Because at first I was like "that sounds so stressful"* and then I realized that it makes a lot more sense if you're doing it for a living.

*Also acknowledging that people are different from each other and what is stressful for one person might be productive and useful for another.

I am a professional writer!

My original serials are my job, basically, and they're supported by generous folks at Patreon and Ream. That, in turn, allows me to do this in a more professional and focused way, vs. say just as a hobbyist who doesn't update for 9 months at a time. It also lets me share my works for free, in a fandom friendly manner, which lets me keep doing something I love in a way I love to do it, but in a way which is like...I guess more reliable than you'd necessarily be if you were only doing it for fun.

I can instead pledge high fidelity/loyalty to my main serials through thick and thin (hence my wild author's notes), which means folks following WIPs get to know they'll be finished, and I get to enjoy doing this for a living! It's hard, but it's a good hard. Except for taxes.

As for my monthly minimum, that actually started as a way to break out of the very ableist 'you should write every day' (as a professional writer) which is literally impossible for me and my chronic illnesses. I sometimes have big chunks of time where I can't write, sometimes weeks! And where it would be unhealthy for me to make myself.

Alongside that, I have quite severe dyscalculia (think dyslexia but with numbers and directions and left and right lol) so I can't keep a 'running wordcount' because the numbers confuse me too much. Luckily, because my writing life is defined by chapters completed (and not novels), I count the wordcount of every finished chapter only. Unfinished chapters don't count! My growing wordcount per month grows only when that draft is finished (my drafts are clean, so chapters only tend to grow or shrink by about 100-150 words per edit, so give or take it all evens out).

It's not how any other author I know does it, but it works so well for me that I've been doing it for nearly a decade now.

I started the monthly minimum (which currently is 25k words per month) because I tend towards being a workaholic, and so my therapist and I established a minimum not as an unreachable goal that's hard to meet, but as an easy goal that's generally effortless for me to reach in good months, and average months, and even many bad ones. After I hit 25k words per month, if I crash, feel burnt out, feel awful, or life gets Life-y in a bad way, I have permission to stop writing. I can just stop. Everything else is gravy. (Though secretly I always want to hit 30-35k but shhh).

When I hit 50k words, I also have to stop immediately and take a mandatory 3-5 day break from writing even if I want to keep writing. Because I don't know it yet, but I'm probably exhausted on at least some level, lol.

I didn't hit 50k at all last year and there is at least one therapist who would be really proud of me about that even though I feel kind of guilty about it, lol.

You can see the chapters I've written, which dates I've written them. They're colour coded, so I can see at a glance if I'm writing enough of a story or not. And then on the far right is an addition of every month's wordcount.

April was so low because I took an intentional writing holiday (which I'll be doing again ideally in March this year). December was so low because December sucks.

And then I erase it all at the end of the year and start again. The blank whiteboard is actually very motivating to write that first chapter because I always feel like I haven't done anything until then.

This whiteboard is two feet away from where I write quite literally, and is never moved etc. so I have a yearly tracker basically that's extremely visible (super helpful to my ADHD brain, because if I put this in a spreadsheet I'll stop updating it after 3 weeks and then forget it exists). The colour coding gives me dopamine, so does adding chapters.

This is true! This is actually the least stressful way of doing things for me.

That being said, anon, it's still super stressful. Being a serial writer is one of the most stressful things you do, because you have constant and never-ending deadlines for years. Novelists can kind of escape this, in a way, because they can't release novels as often as I release chapters. But I have to be mentally switched on at least 8 times a month, re: putting work out there, making sure it's at least semi-polished, making sure I let everyone know, and tracking responses because obviously, unlike a novel, if you lose interest you can't just "skip ahead" you simply lose your readers. A lot of novelists couldn't live or work this way, a) because they couldn't write a hooky serial and b) because many realise that having to update all the time is really exhausting actually. There's a kind of social labour to updating a serial, and getting it Right every single time. One of my greatest fears that I have nightmares about

Serial writing is the most stressful kind of writing I've ever done (and I've done a few different kinds), I just happen to like the adrenaline rush of this kind of writing, and I happen to work well under a controlled level of stress! I know that, because I've been doing this for over 10 years, refining it, figuring out how to make it healthier (it was really unhealthy at first), getting better at it, figuring out my weak points (some of them are still weak points) etc. I actually think I'm pretty good at it now!

I'm also getting better at not thinking my entire career is over if I take 2 weeks off.

I went from being entirely dependent on a Disability Pension, and like, sometimes having to skip meals and doctor's appointments and even medication due to money issues (the Disability Pension is ironically not enough if you have mental health issues because our subsidised healthcare doesn't cover mental health adequately and Australia has no food stamps system), to being able to live a bit more freely and support my chronic health stuff a bit more because of writing this way!

For the first time ever through these stories I was able to afford a psychiatrist, and a few other things I really desperately have needed since I was a teenager. So being able to write like this, even when it's really hard and I'm really tired, feels still like a miracle to me. I've never been well or healthy enough to work a full-time job with typical 9-5 hours, and always kind of was stuck imagining a life where I'm just...never knowing how to afford certain things, to being in a position where I'm fairly confident I can get my meds every month, or pay for my dog's pet food, etc. It's really nice.

But yeah honestly serial writing is the most stressful form of serial writing there is as soon as you lock it in as a professional job where you must meet nearly 10 deadlines every month and you happen to have pretty intense ADHD so deadlines make you scream a little.

Sometimes what is extremely stressful and sometimes even distressing for someone is also extremely productive and rewarding for them too. We probably wouldn't have a lot of emergency surgeons if that were the bar for how we decide what we do!

2024 Writing Reflections

What's been your biggest learning point this past year?

To embrace the joy of writing. This meant trying new things or putting them out there or just writing what spoke to me. Writing "easy" and not worrying about my prose - if I just wanted to write fun dialogue with the same damn dialogue tags, then go for it babe, let those blorbos yap. If I wanted to put in the most cliche, in-your-face metaphor, smack that literary device on the arse and send it out! If I had a short idea that I thought was fun, I could share it as a fic, or a post, or even just a message amongst people who like similar things. The more I embraced the joy of it just for its own sake the less anxious I felt about it.

How has your writing developed this past year?

Writing sexually explicit content. I'm very cautious about the explicit content I consume for my own psychological comfort, and it was quite liberatory to be in control of the writing and know what was going to happen, and definitely allowed my writing to grow in depth, gain a new skill, and explore more heavy and intimate themes.

Bad writing habits?

I get impatient and want to be done with something even when I know the editing isn't quite finished and then spend the next hour frantically making edits after it's uploaded.

Favorite thing you wrote?

I feel like this changes every time I reflect on it, probably because I like them for different reasons.

For now, I'm going to say Part 10, the main "concluding" part of the NB series. I was absolutely exhausted after I wrote it.

I'll also say chapter 10 in The Elturian Prodigy, because in it Rolan begins to figure out the events of Descent into Avernus, and I was proud to be able to come up with how he might do it that didn't seem super obvious but that an intelligent character could reason through.

Biggest win?

Finding support and kindness that uplifted me to such an extent that it has changed the trajectory of my life. I'm part of the many folks who have found their joy and creativity again thanks to fandom writing and the overwhelming and unexpected kindness of people in the online community spaces. I even had some people in real life remember I was trying to write again and ask how it was going and I had to not be a big emotional mess about it. Thank you online writing friends <3

Everyone is always breathing in various ways. Lots of deep breaths, huffing, snorting, air catching in throats. Or chuckling in various dry, wry, ways. Or brows doing various things; raising, creasing, cocking.

This is a ridiculous sentence, but I had to take a moment in the middle of the NB series and check I wasn't overdoing twat, bastard, and feck and turning it into a caricature. (There's a part where Rugan says "Every other word out of your mouth is 'feck this' or 'bastard that'" which was absolutely me calling myself out lol).

Goals for the new year?

I think I responded to this elsewhere, but in this moment I am thinking...

Just don't stop reading and writing, keep practicing and growing.

Always remember the kind words of internet friends that have made you have faith in yourself.

Keeping working on the ongoing WIPs.

I think, if I'm being honest, I would really love to finally get something original self-published or close to it by the end of 2025. As the saying goes, the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, but the second best time is now.

What are you excited for in the new year?

Well I'm in the middle of a couple of interviews, so getting hired would be good because life has thrown a lot around recently that won't be letting up any time soon. Fingers crossed.

I got some books for Christmas and my anniversary before that I'm looking forward to reading. Just finished the First Law trilogy.

Getting through some more of my fic WIPs and moving towards completion of those projects.
