just saw the wheel of time season finale...chills. literal chills. everyone gave it their best. the acting? the music? the cinematography? 10/10, no notes. my only regret is that it wasn't longer - 10 eps would really give some more room for character/plot development, not to mention we now have to wait another two years for the next season - but rj and co have done brilliantly with what they have so far and i can't wait to see where the ef5 and their friends (and enemies) go next!

favourite moments below (in no order):

turak preparing for an epic duel and rand just straight up blasting him and his guard

moiraine and lan back together!! my fave platonic parents!!

the ef5 reunited - i was so hoping we'd see them all together again and it was everything. more of this in s3 please!

egwene killing renna. it wasn't with the pitcher, but still immensely satisfying nonetheless. i just want to give egwene a hug though, out of everyone in the season i feel what happened to her was the most traumatising and i hope they address this (and give her some comfort) in s3. the little randgwene moment we got however was so sweet; he was so gentle with her, and it was just what she needed then before ishamael came along

moiraine channelling. she looked amazing and i adored how she was able to return the favour rand gave her last ep by unshielding him just like he did for her.

mat. just mat. outsmarting padan fain! hugging perrin! blowing the horn! insulting rand's hair! cradling rand! he's a hero, and i'm so proud of him. petition for him to have a new outfit next season, as a treat :)

the 10 seconds of interaction between perrin and dain bornhald. dain saving perrin's life? "two rivers?" dain calling out for perrin even after perrin kills his dad? i love it. looking forward to them meeting again - even if dain is now out for perrin's blood

i'll probably do a more coherent rewatch later, but for now, farewell s2! light be with you :) bring on s3!!

Under the red hood alternative story where Jason doesn’t go the drug lord “choose me or him” route and instead hatches a plan to make Bruce love him ‘again’ and get attached to him and then he lets himself get killed again cause CLEARLY Bruce didn’t mourn him enough the first time. It totally makes sense.

Jason, while hugging Bruce after the DNA test came back positive, grinning evilly behind his back: hahahahaha yeah this’ll fucking show him!

Except. He miscalculated. Severely. Suddenly the thought of dying is a terrifying one because his life has never been this peaceful. Bruce helped him finish his school education and convinced him to enrol into university, even helped him take over crime alley’s underground in the meantime.

Jason, while spending time with Bruce, not fighting and just existing peacefully in each other’s company, realising that he doesn’t really fancy dying anymore and his plan is effectively Ruined: fuck.
