Arthur huffed out a satisfied sound, pulling the lasso hard enough to make the bounty fall.

Faceless. Dead or alive for $1000.

“Hold still,” the outlaw grumbled as he reeled the wanted in and started tying them up — not without a fight, to none of his surprise.

Once tied tight — pulling a grunt from Faceless — Arthur sat them upright and crouched in front of them, snickering at the glare from the badly cut holes of their mask.

“Now let me take a look atcha,” he said, voice low and dripping in mischief. Just a glimpse of the person who had him running in circles for weeks.

A beat and then the mask was pulled off.

His eyes widened as he took her in; a woman. A pretty one at that-

“Wait a minute! Mama was an outlaw too?” Your 10 year old gasped, sitting up from where she laid.

“Mhm. And a pretty one at that,” you teased, elbowing your husband who’s sat with you at the edge of the bed.

“Well,” Arthur cleared his throat with a smile. “We don’t know for sure so don’t interrupt me. Anyway,”

She turned away from him, hiding behind her hair. That fire in her eyes remained bright.

“I-..” Now he was the one tied; on his tongue. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have handled you so rough, I didn’t-”

“Didn’t think I’m a woman did you? Heard it all before. Just get on with it and handle me like you would.”

And with that, Arthur nodded. Though the last words had him feeling a little-

“Alright that’s enough. Bedtime,” you cut off, pushing Arthur off your daughter’s bed. You had forgotten this.. cursed little detail from the story. And curse him too, he laughed, that bastard.

“Aw! Feeling what-”

“Maybe you aren’t old enough after all,” you smiled, leaning down to kiss her forehead. “For another time, okay?” She can only sigh in defeat and nod.

“Sorry kid,” Arthur chuckled, walking to the door.

“You should be,” you muttered as you joined him. He only pulled on your hand, fingers quickly intertwined. Following it, a soft kiss on your temple.

With a roll of your eyes and a smile you could barely dam, you wished your daughter a good night and closed the door.

“Now you,” you turned to your husband.

“What about me?” He played, turning to you too. That stupid — and irresistible — half smile on his face as he walked backwards to your bedroom.

“You are staining my outlaw legacy by putting unnecessary details like that. I’ll have you know I was famous.”

“Why, it ain’t unnecessary, darlin’. If anythin’, it was the start. The foundation of our marriage, if you will.”

“Shut up,” you giggled, pushing him. But before he got very far, he pulled you into a kiss.

You gladly melted into his lips, moving until he’s pressed against the door. With a click of the doorknob, the both of you are stumbling onto the bed, laughing like teenagers.

As your laughter died down above him, he looked at you just like he did that night. That fateful night he caught you.

“C’mere,” he gently said, right hand already guiding your face towards his again.

The sound of his breath as your lips melded with his was like the hiss of a fire put out; like the whole world disappeared with it and it was just the two of you.

“If they had your face on that poster,” he muttered between kisses, flipping you over. “I’d have caught you sooner.”

“Ain’t work that way.”

“Ain’t gonna let me say somethin’ nice?” You laughed. Oh, how happy he made you.

He pulled away, that same look in his eyes as he cradled your face. Like a man who won much more than $1000 that night. He made a mental note to thank Alden again first thing in the morning.

“Now handle me like you would, Arthur,” you whispered, turning slightly to kiss his hand.

“Yes ma’am.” And with that he was gone <3

You repeat the ingredients, to the draught of peace potion, inside your mind as you toss them into the cauldron, having learnt from what happened in your last Potions class. When your strengthening solution ended up spoiling. But you were feeling lucky this time, after you managed to pair up with one of your best friends, Harry. He was doing pretty well in Potions, and it's exactly what you needed.

“You got them all?” Harry asks, looking over at you for confirmation, and you nod your head, confidently. You trusted Harry and his abilities. And also, a couple of minutes has passed by already without anything going wrong.

Or, so you thought.

Maybe you shouldn’t have spoken too soon.

Because just as Professor Snape passes by your desk, the potion Harry’s stirring suddenly bursts into a dark grey cloud, making you both step back. “Did we do something wrong?” You hear Harry ask, as he fans the fumes away. You try to retract your steps, and the ingredients you’ve carefully tossed in the cauldron. But you can’t tell where you went wrong.

“None that I could think of—”

Then you hear your last name being called out by Professor Snape, as he uses a spell to undo your failed potion. “This is a powdered Griffin claw.” He emphasizes, holding up the small container, which you thought was the powdered Porcupine quill.

But Merlin forbid, you get it wrong, right?

You let out a sigh as Professor Snape goes on a rant about how he’s going to give you two another chance to finish the draught of peace potion before class ends, or he’s going to give you both a failing grade for today’s class work. Harry just nods his head in agreement as Professor Snape walks away right after.

“I’m sorry, that’s my fault.”

“It's fine. We can just start over.”

He says, fixing his hair and glasses. Then he turns to you, and you notice some fume particles dusting his face. “Harry.” A chuckle slips out of you and the said boy tilts his head to the side, confused. “What? Is there something on my face—” You cut him off, catching his wrist as he lifts them up. “I’ll do it, you’re fine.” Still, you try your best to stifle your laugh, grabbing your handkerchief to wipe his face clean.

With his eyebrows furrowed, Harry stares at you. He doesn’t exactly know what’s so amusing, but watching you fail to hold your laughter back, makes him smile. Then again, that’s how it's always been with you. Everytime you’re together, he just seems happier. Maybe that’s why he likes being around you.

Looking at you, Harry notices just how close he is. And he tries to convince himself that this isn't all that out of the ordinary. That his heart definitely isn't beating so fast right now, and that his hands aren’t growing clammy. This was normal. You didn't even look half as bothered as him.

So why is his whole face heating up?

And that’s when it dawns on him.

He likes you. For the longest time. And you’re currently witnessing—front row seat, matter of fact—the one of many times where he’s so painfully obvious. And, of course, he has to realize it in the middle of class. Harry snaps back into reality, when he feels you tugging on his robe.

“Are you still with me?”

“Yes, I’m sorry.” He lets out a chuckle, still a little nervous but finding his composure. And for the rest of your time, making the potion together, Harry begins to notice more of the little things you do. Like the quirks and habits that he’s always been aware of, but didn't know just how fond of them he was, or how often your hands would brush against each other.

Unfortunately, time seems to pass by faster when you spend it with someone you like. And before Harry knew it, you had finished your potion. But his mind was still in the middle of grasping this newfound feeling for you.

Later that night, you find yourself listening to Hermione talk about her day, by the fireplace. When Harry and Ron arrive. The redhead takes the empty space just beside Hermione on the couch, joining your conversation. And you, exchanging a glance with him, immediately take the hint. So, you move yourself down on the carpet, next to Harry. And he seems delighted by it, as he looks up from his book.

“Mind if I join?” You ask, leaning your head against his shoulder. He shakes his head, saying he doesn't mind at all, and lets you rest your head. “Do you want me to read to you?” He mumbles, adjusting his position, so he can scoot a little closer to you. “If you want to.” You respond, smiling up at him.

'I always want to, if it's you.' Harry thinks, but he doesn't want to say it out loud, at least not yet. Instead, he wraps an arm around you, when you start to fall asleep in the middle of his reading.

Season 6 is cooking so bad im crying oml. I gotta word vomit about it because i literally have no one to talk about it with.

So!! The side characters getting depth???? You’re telling 13 year old me that we’ll actually have an opportunity to connect to them 😭 don’t make me cry. Not trying to be salty, im genuinely happy we have it now. I understand their hands were tied up to this point and whatever happened between s5 and s6 did the show so good.

The whole bad parents shtick is getting layed on pretty thick which makes me think its building something up. If i had to guess its definitely has sum to do with Adrien. Im betting by the end of the season Adrien will finally admit out loud that his father was abusive (not just a few mumbles about him being distant) and it isnt wrong to hate him for that even if he’s a “hero”. In fact that’s what its trying to do, the story is telling the viewers that parents aren’t all that glorified and you CAN take them off the pedestal if they’re not great parents. You don’t have to love them unconditionally just because theyre family. People can stand up against injustice and the parent can face judgement and CHANGE. Something gabriel couldn’t do time and time again and i can only guess how that will blow up later.. so i think the reason why it frequently comes up so the moment Adrien actually does admit to the abuse or stands up for himself or comes out with his side of the story it feels much more satisfying and closer. Imagine yourself as a little kid watching s6 and getting the message that you can tell your parents to change over and over again and when the final episode comes out Adrien does that, imagine how vindicated you’d feel. That yes, STAND UP ADRIEN!! AS YOU SHOULD!!

Anyhow, another thing i noticed is how Marinette is somewhat almost always “responsible” for the akumatized person. I believe this is just Lila’s way of manipulating Marinette into feeling guilty bit by bit, slowly. Or when the ultimate moment to expose her or ruin her image comes to, she can show how everything was connected to her. I think the finale with her will be that she’ll try to ruin her image as Marinette just as well as Ladybug. If she were to expose her identity she’d do it in a way so she buries Marinette into the ground. Therefore she’d expose the lie she told as Ladybug, as well as how big of a failure she is as Marinette and that Ladybug is in fact “causing” the akumas. She’s obviously closely monitoring her life since all the characters that have been akumatized so far has been in her close vicinity. PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE YAYYYY!!

Also its absolutely unbelieable how pretty the show is. I dont care how much people bitched about how its not the same anymore and they miss the old one etc, i think thats just people scared of change xx. Its genuinely so pretty, its a work of art honestly. The way sometimes 2d gets mixed into the 3d is ☹️☹️☹️ my artist heart is squeeling everytime i see a scene like that. Like when Ladybug spins her yoyo:( its so pretty like COME ON how can you not appreciate that.

At first the only gripe i had with s6 was that they took away even what was left of Adriens personality. As someone whose rewatched the show a couple of times and is rewatching it rn aswell, its insane how much Adrien has changed. S1 and S6 are completely different people change my mind. He used to be so witty and sarcastic just overall a tiny prick behind closed doors. Now hes a little bit bland. But i read a post about Astruc saying the only person he has rn is Marinette, and thats why his personality is centered around her. Which makes a lot of sense but i dont think that transition was well shown, altho i have hopes the remaining episodes will build up to that. It was obvious to me hes traumatized and sad why wouldnt he be, he has no family left ??? But at the same time now he feels like just a side character. Alas, i understand in order to flesh out other characters and the story arc he has to be put in the backround for now. Just kinda bummed we don’t get to see much of him anymore.

Don’t get me started about Chat Noir ☹️ i miss him so much. But again i know why they’re doing it, they’re seperating Ladybug of her only support system. They’re trying to tie Marinette to Adrien and how the guilt with that lie is to be carried alone. Even when Alya found out she was faced witht he consequences: no one likes to be lied to. She cant tell Chat now, especially now that theres an obvious drift between Chat and her. It’s not just them against the world anymore, theres a whole team there now. Altho, this just makes her even more alone. Feeling alone with people around~ again, the moment this all comes to a boil, there’ll be 20 people around her, looking at her like shes the one to blame. Chat noir wont be there next to her anymore, hell be on the otherside looking at her, (feeling more betrayed than anyone there), trying to figure out who she is (not her identity, he just doesnt know Ladybug anymore, they dont talk, they dont interact, theres no us anymore, she made that decision alone-). It just isolates Marinette even further. My baby:(

I disagree with people who say Marinette lost her character development. In FACT id say what the shows doing rn is the best its ever done at showing actual internal battles. Its always been just a kids show so of course they couldnt go for a darker route or something that shows moral issues and heavy decisions. Little things like how they interact with their environment. Up to this point the story was focused on Marinette and her every day life usually a silly problem came up that was sort of solved in just a single episode, usually in the last 2 minutes of it. Now i feel like the whole entire episode is centered around the issue and its actually giving Marinette space to feel. For the viewer to experience the worry the anxiety WITH Marinette. Not just jumping between a silly problem in the city and Marinette doing god knows what. Shes just a baby now:( finally looking and acting like a kid, 14 and worrying about her boyfriends reaction to her sneezes. While simultaniously struggling with guilt over a lie that feels too heavy for a 14 year old. Her control issues isnt using Ladybug for her personal battles which felt just funny up this point but an actual anxious issue and her trying to make everything work on her own and keeping the peace for her own sake. Like if this ISNT character development (not in the usual way just simply the way its shown) then idk what it is. Shes feeling!!! Look at her guys shes showing fear, anxiety, anger, insecurity!! Im jot saying she didnt up to this point but it was shown so much less. Just little tibits. Now shes finally in the spotlight. Good for her!!

Last but not least my theory for Lila: i think shes gathering info (duh). Figuring out who is who in the class, obviously suspecting Marinette is Ladybug but having no actual proof for it. London special showed she couldn’t confirm her suspicion but she HAD the suspicion. Because when she did figure it out and see it was Marinette she wasn’t surprised. And how all the victims are obviously tied to her in her personal life, and how the villian itself has always been connected to her moral issue in one way or another. Lilas a good manipulator that way, knowing which buttons to push. I think shes just trying to break Marinette in.

i think izzy mentioned his family a few times in different interviews, but what do we really know about them?? i love learning stuff about him that not many people would know ☹️

Hey anon! Happy to share what I’ve read about his family.

Pop - Richard. Sold insurance. Would throw parties with live music, and Izzy would serve drinks with his brothers (as a kid, yep, these were different days) and hang with the guys in the band. He seems to speak fondly of those parties so these were probably pretty formative experiences. Around 1970, his folks broke up and his pop moved, remarried and lived in Florida where he had some kids (two daughters that Izzy refers to in an interview). His pop wasn’t impressed when Izzy spent a fair bit of $ on a guitar, saying it was a waste of money - it’s revealing that Izzy mentioned this in interviews more than once: ‘he mows my grass now’, ‘he’s changed his mind’, ‘he likes my music now’ ….

Mom - Sonja. In photos she has a lovely smile and I think he takes after her looks-wise. She sounds pretty supportive of his interest in music, and let him rehearse (high school band with Bill aka Axl) in their garage. She worked as a secretary at Purdue University. Have read online that it may have been a difficult divorce, and I can presume that being a single mum of young boys in a small town wasn’t a bed of roses.

He also mentions his grandmother, not sure what side of the family, who played drums as a hobby, in a jazz swing band. That’s so cool. She passed in early 90s.

His two younger brothers are Kevin and Joe. I think he’s close with them both. They all seem into cars and bikes. His Dad is too, as during Izzy’s interview with a Swedish magazine around 2000, he mentions a bike road trip with his Dad and he’s done biking road trips with his brothers.

For what I can gather, Izzy grew up outside of Lafayette on some acreage, and he would ride trail bikes as a kid. He then moved into Lafayette township after his folks divorced.

I think Izzy came back to the family fold and rediscovered his Indiana roots after he took it all too far in LA with ‘sex, drugs and rock n roll’.

His family helped him return home and get cleaned up in that 89-90 period. He still owns property back in his hometown (from what I’ve heard) and seems to value his family connections.

I do plan to actually do more. Being in fandoms and actually enjoying posting things was something I desired to get back into doing for a while.

I started rewatching Monkey Magic. It gets even worse each time, I love it.

I also adore that Tripitaka is played by a woman, playing into not only the very stereotypical ‘damsel in distress’ but also his very canonical pretty boy syndrome.

It can be something as simple as telling him you got lost in his eyes, or something as deep as calling him a god amongst mere roaches in terms of his beauty, mind and soul. It does not matter to him.

His cheeks get rosy and he immediately comes up to scratch the back of his head, tucking in his lips to hide the shy smile that desperately wants to break out on his features. He avoids your gaze- which immediately gets worse when you gently grab his chin and try to guide him to look at you for more affectionate words, and he gets all vocally and whiny to leave him alone- because he doesn’t want you to see the effect you have on him. He truly becomes an absolute putty, where his mind goes fuzzy from praise and heart beats faster and he becomes somehow prettier, and you’re sure to make him aware of that, making him more into a mess.
