oh no. fic idea.

Just saw a Smoughtown video where he posited that all the meddling with fate has created the Astel. The logic being:

1: Astel is described as a malformed star. 2: The stars control fate. Therefore, meddling with the stars to change fate creates malformed ones—the astel.

And that has given me an idea. If I wasn't writing a "Rogier Lives, Shenanigans Ensue" fic, I'd probably be writing a "Blaidd Lives, Shenanigans Ensue" fic. Here's an insane premise for that.

After finding out why Blaidd's been locked in the Evergaol, the Tarnished wants to save him. ↓

"Star shards control fate huh? I'll use that to sever the Fingers' hold on Blaidd! He'll be in charge of his own fate!" (something something something adapting Seluvis's tricks for good, yada yada yada) ↓

Insert cool epic ritual scene of that here. (Blaidd having to be the one doing it since it's his fate, etc. As high as the stakes are, there’s moments for comedy in this.) ↓

A new Astel is created, either in the moment or shortly afterwords. ↓

Insert climatic bossfight here where they whoop its ass ✨together ~✨ ↓

Character moments ensue. Sappy, romantic, platonic, whichever. Call back joke to like, their first meeting/first time working together ↓
